Background:Students are suffering from Procrastination
Procrastination is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things
in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the "last minute" before the deadline.
of students think they procrastinate
when they study.
80%
DO HOMEWORK PREPARE FOR EXAM
Although they set up a review plan to get a better grade, but they seldom study as
planned. It’s common for them to cram all night for tomorrow's exams. Finally, owing
to inadequate exam preparation, the score is not ideal,making students depressed.

The Pomodoro Technique is a time
management method developed by
Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s.
The technique uses a timer to break
down work into intervals traditionally
25 minutes in length, separated by
short breaks.
The Pomodoro Technique
Decide on the task to be done;
Set the pomodoro timer to n minutes
(traditionally 25);
Work on the task until the timer rings;
Take a short break (3–5 minutes);
After four pomodori, take a longer
break (15–30 minutes).
Time Management Systems
Getting Things Done (GTD) is a method for organizing tasks so that you can focus your entire
energy and creativity on completing those tasks in a stress free manner.
Getting Things Done
Using the Eisenhower Decision Principle, all tasks are evaluated
using the criteria important/unimportant and urgent/not urgent, and
then placed in according quadrants in an Eisenhower Matrix
Eisenhower Decision Principle
Record daily work, especially the most important thing in your life,
and complete them according to the order of priority. Record what
makes you happy and excited, and confirm the positive changes.
In order to realize the scientific, reasonable and efficient planning of
work, I decided to research the systems of time management, so I
can learn from these methods and use them to my design.

Color and motion state of bubbles will change with time, so the tasks
close to their deadline would be more obvious. To be more precise,
the color would be redder and redder and beat faster and faster. In
the end, they will beat like the rhythm of heart, which creates a sense
of tension, forcing the user to complete the task.

Calculate task completion, and compare it with friends. If users completes the top 10 in their
circle of friends, they will receive a trophy as a sort of encouragement. Otherwise they can merely
get a small medal. Users can also share their grade with their friends and record them through
social networking sites which they already connect.

Students may spend a long time on one task,
such as spending two hours to review the lessons.
However, if they keep doing these during that time,
finally we would get tired and can’t concentrated,
leading to decrease of learning efficiency. But if we
split our time, set goals and rest properly, task
completion will improve a lot.
Thus I introduce pomodoro technique to my design.
