This document discusses a multi-professional postgraduate study program in autism that has been running since 1998. It trains professionals from various backgrounds to work together to support those with autism spectrum disorder. The program uses collaborative learning approaches like action learning sets and workshop tasks. Student feedback indicates it improves their confidence in multi-disciplinary discussions and understanding of different professional perspectives and the lived experiences of families. The program has also helped shape the local authority's autism strategy and development of community support networks.
