Negative Images Of African Americans
I would argue that most of the images in which society has provided the African American community
with are negative images of African American women. For example, on VH1 there are shows like
Basketball Wives, and Love and Hip Hop in which from the surface appears to be a group of friends
that like to hang out, shop and party however, as you watch the show the ladies are depicted as
hypersexual, sex objects, violent, hostile, aggressive and use derogatory terms when referring to each
other. This is a problem due to the fact African American adolescents do not have enough positive
images in which they can utilize in assisting them in developing a positive self image, self esteem or
just a general idea of self worth. With there being a lack

Dana Write Up Bella Healthcare India Essay
EMSM TP19 Dana Lin Team is Ready but Say NO to Project TKO After Project Baton, was the Bella
India team fully equipped to lead a new product development project? Was Project TKO the right one
to tackle? I think Bella India team is fully equipped to lead new product development especially for
India market. However, Project TKO is not the right one to tackle. Why is the team ready for India
market? Because there is big market demand and Bella India team has all the knowledge to meet the
market requirement. For market demand, the EKG equipment market in emerging economies were
expected to have 10% growth per annum as both the need and ability to pay for better cardiac care
increase, and India is one of the fast growing markets. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This means the demand is lesser but the competition is stronger. If Bella India wants to develop a new
product for a new market, I suggest they focus their investment on the product segment that is
growing and competition is smaller. Among the growing product segment, I think 6/12 channel is the
potential segment to develop because its projected growth is the biggest and by 2017, it will be almost
3 times bigger than it is now (2010). And there are only 4 main players and market share is almost
equally spread on 3 of them. This may imply that their products are similar in function and pricing.
With Bella team s innovative design of mobile connectivity which also gives their new product
advantage to compete with these 6/12 channel main market players. What s more, the TKO is planed
to incorporate a digital image and communications (DICOM) is not a right choice, either. Since this is
not critical in the near term, it s not necessary to add this feature at this time. This feature can be
developed as a wave 2 stage or an upgraded version to sell in another time when the market is able to
use and buy. More features add more cost. The challenging of the new product development is not
only time but also cost. Because there are a lot of competitors are working on similar products already,
if Bella India team wants to have first mover advantage, they have to complete production before
anyone else. And take

The Process Of Assessment And Diagnosis
The Process of Assessment and Diagnosis in Therapy
Basic Elements
The ability to conduct an efficient and effective clinical and diagnostic interview is arguably one of
the most valued therapeutic skills. It is during the interview that the therapist learns about the
difficulties and challenges experienced by the couple and begins to form the foundations for a healing
professional relationship. There are three basic assessment elements that should guide every
interviewing session.
The first is establishing rapport. Establishing rapport refers to creating an open, trusting, and safe
relationship with the couple or family. The course of establishing an effective couple clinician
relationship will vary, but an overarching goal of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Biblical Anthropology and Assessment A proper assessment from a biblical anthropological
perspective needs to take into account the image of God as part of human nature. The three
dimensions of the image of God (relational, structural and functional) form the core of human nature.
Humans are relational beings with the structural capacity to relate to others and fulfill their purpose in
this life. These three dimensions were damaged or affected after the Fall. As discussed previously,
normality and pathology are connected with the sinful human condition.
In order to develop an effective treatment plan, McMinn and Campbell (2007) recommend assessing
issues associated with each of the three elements of human nature. They suggested starting with the
assessment of thoughts and behaviors, and moving on to assessing schemas and interpersonal
functioning. While both the functional and the structural assessment dimensions will be considered in
the following section, this chapter will emphasize the influence of the relational dimension of the
image of God as the primary reason for abnormality in the functional and the structural domains. Sin
is a relational issue, and this separation from God and other selves is responsible for the abnormality
in human beings.
Assessing Maladaptive Thoughts and Behaviors (Functional Domain). When God created

Reflection On Present Day By Solnit
We as a society are Connected to death, to fear, to the unknown, but in being so connected one could
feel empathy, passion, and heroism as well (Solnit, 55) . Solnit is speaking of the tragedy of the 9/11
attacks in 2001. A life altering event for our entire nation struck in a blink of an eye. The same
reaction spread with school shootings such as Columbine and Sandy Hook. We, as a nation, bond over
tragedy and failure in order to boost back morale, strength, and hope. Solnit, in this section of reading,
focuses on the act of togetherness, from 9/11 to the Zapatistas, to present day. Time and time again our
society is shown to thrive amongst our walls in the act of togetherness, producing more hope, reason,
and caring than any other time. This made me think, why do we only become cohesive and accepting
when we fail? Why do we only show love and compassion to others different than us when we need
help? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Growing up, the Golden Rule was: Treat others the way you want to be treated. This rule carried with
me to present day. I constantly ask myself, is this right? Would I be okay with what I am doing if
someone did it right back to me? I believe in this world, we need to be kind and respectful to others.
We need to reach out together, set goals together, and boost our morale s together. Single handedly, we
cannot accomplish much. We rely on others opinions, previous research, and ideas to guide us through
life and create new ideas to further our society. Solnit states the importance of learning from past
history, and not repeating the same mistakes. We can t avoid resurfacing the past if we are divided and
unwilling to compromise. We can t move forward if we refuse to treat other humans as

How Spirit Airlines With American Airlines Essay
WHY I CHOSE THIS COMPANY
Founded in 1964, Spirit Airlines actually began operations in the trucking industry under the name
Clippert Trucking Company, based in Michigan. In subsequent years the firm encountered many
changes in name, headquarters, as well as shifted into different industries entirely. In 1983, the
company branched out into the charter tour operating sector, as Charter One. Particularly, they
provided tours to entertainment destinations such as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and the islands to the
southeast of Florida known as The Bahamas.
Almost three decades late in 1992, the company officially changed its name to the ultra low cost
passenger carrier company we all know today as Spirit Airlines, which is based in Fort Lauderdale
Hollywood International Airport, under CEO Ben Baldanza. These series of changes in industry, in
combination with the fact that I am an avid Spirit flyer, definitely sparked my interest in further
investigating the financial stance of the company.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to compare Spirit Airlines with American Airlines using the financial
ratios of liquidity, activity, debt, profitability and the market, and to derive some concrete conclusions
about the financial nature of Spirit Airlines. According to Spirit Airlines (2015) Historic Stock
Lookup, from 2011 to 2014, the year end stock prices have increased by 79.4%, which is outstanding.
Thus, Spirit Airlines will be used as a benchmark in terms of comparing

Kurt Vonnegut s The Five People You Meet In Heaven
Kurt Vonnegut s 1969 novel is based on a man named Billy Pilgrim who is an anti war hero; he was
the most unprepared soldier of them all and was considered a joke. Pilgrim was scrawny and tall;
going into the war he did not have any proper equipment. Throughout the story Billy is time traveling
due to the fact the he was abducted by aliens known as the Tralfamadorians. Since Billy has been
through so many time periods and knows how certain situations turn out he is very content with his
life and is fearless. Billy tries to tell his family and the world about this experience; but of course, no
one believes him. Other characters are very minor and only come out when Billy is in a certain time
period. He was married to a woman named Valencia ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The theme or plot structure here is going through time but already knowing what the future holds, in
the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven, there are some similar qualities. This takes place in
the 1920s with an 83 year old man named Eddie who s job is maintaining rides at an amusement park.
In this Eddie risks his life in order to save a little girl who was in danger while on a ride, there were
others on the ride too and luckily they got out safe. He saved these people on the day of his birthday,
but unfortunately, it would be his last. Eddie makes his way to heaven, but has to meet five people in
order to know how this was his fate. A blue man would guide him to the people he would be
encountering. Each of us was in your life for a reason (Mitch 21). Just as each person Billy met in his
lifetime served a purpose. Without Roland Weary Billy would not have lived, and without the people
Eddie met he would not have faced his true fate. Vonnegut and Mitch both created excellent themes by
taking a different path with their use of time travel and symbolism for each event that occurred in

Tommy John Research Paper
Tommy John Surgery
Tommy John surgery, or more well known as ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, is a surgery in
which a ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with a ligament from elsewhere in the body. This
replacement ligament is usually taken from the forearm, hamstring, or foot of the patient. This
ligament is needed for everyday things such as twisting a doorknob. This injury is usually seen in
professional baseball pitchers because of the daily repetitive throwing and because of violent motions
from throwing a baseball. RA Dickey was born without a UCL and pitches in the majors. Doctors still
do not know how he can do this because you should not be able to do anything this way.
A torn elbow ligament was the most common cause of The Dead Arm Injury era, the 20th century.
This was uncommon before this time. Long before then, because of the lack of research on the injury,
this gave pitcher s a 1 in 100 chance of returning and being able to pitch. Until in 1974
Dr. Frank Jobe developed a procedure for pitcher Tommy John (who the surgery was named after).
With vivid research of the ligaments inside the medial elbow he developed a way to make the elbow
back to normal strength or in some cases much more stronger. This surgery consisted of the new
tendon being implanted and woven in a figure eight pattern through holes ... Show more content on

Even with this training a quick recovery is considered an elongated 13 months. Most people take close
to 18 months and however long it takes would not be able to pitch immediately. With rapid amounts of
these injuries starting to occur in the 20th century it quickly became a normal and expected thing for
pitchers to have to undergo this surgery at one point in their career. Some people believe this is
because of the game changing and baseball players beginning to throw curveballs at a very early

The Truman Doctrine
Subsequently to the end of the World War II, and for almost forty years, the so called Cold War
crossed different phases. In fact, the political relationship between USA and URSS was constituted by
periods of high tension and periods of relaxation. In fact, the most tragical period of the Cold War was
recorded between the 1947 and the 1953, period in which the American President H. Truman gave
way at the development of the so called Truman Doctrine , expressing the need for a containment of
the USSR and communism. Subsequently, with the election of the American president Eisenhower and
the appointment of Khrushchev as Secretary of the CPSU, the two superpowers experienced a new
phase of peaceful coexistence . In fact, on February 1956,

Bubonic Plague Globalization
In studying the effects of globalization and institutional efficacy on the spread of animal host
epidemics it is important to recognize and attempt to control for the differing host variables and
disease spread patterns in both Avian Influenza A (H5N1) and Bubonic Plague. There are two main
features of variability between Avian Influenza outbreaks and Bubonic plague pandemics that I find
prudent to acknowledge in order to give my cross historical comparison of the political response to
these diseases a solid grounding. The first is the basic function and spread of the diseases. Avian Flu
and Bubonic plague differ in their level of danger partially due to their transmission mediums and
forms. The second is the basic movement and behavioral ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rats proclivity towards the human condition of surplus food supplies and trash production created a
system whereby these rodents cohabitation with humans, to the displeasure of the humans, was greatly
supportive of large rat populations (McCormick, 2003). In his 2003 study, McCormick goes into great
detail surrounding the intimate relationship between human urbanization and increasing rat
populations. These animals, did not only survive, but thrived on continued interaction with human
created systems of roads, cereal storage, waste disposal, and climate controlled housing (McCormick,
2003). This parasitic relationship clearly makes some institutional controls available in a more
domestic case less viable, but can still be mildly controlled as seen in modern steps towards urban
sanitation including widespread eradication of rat population in modern cities (McCormick,

what the soldier have went through but the families of the soldiers as well. This book allows the reader

The Money By Junot Diaz Summary
Reading The Money by Junot Diaz gave me the impression that Diaz was raised in a strict but
disciplined household. There are many parallels between my life and Junot Diaz s life. We both came
from low income families struggling for that pesky paycheck. When we did receive that paycheck,
most of it ended up going back to our homelands to support the family we had left behind and or pay
off the houses we owned or rented there. We both lived in the rough parts of our neighborhoods where
the recently moved in immigrants were victim to robberies and cons. Coincidentally, I experienced a
very similar situation that Junot Diaz described in his story.
In The Money, Diaz and his family were struggling to attain money. His mother was always getting

Seduction in To His Mistress Going to Bed, Good Morrow, Corinna s Going A Maying, and To His

Throughout time, one of the greatest challenges mankind has faced is the sexual conquest of
womankind. In many cultures today, this challenge has evolved into an intricate courting process that
often involves buying the woman flowers, gifts, and meals to persuade her to have sex. Another device
that a man might use to seduce a woman is poetry. In the English language, the use of poetry to seduce
women may be traced back to the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. Cavalier poets such

Thus, Herrick, Donne, and Marvell s consistent poetic reliance upon logical rhetoric, first person
plural narration, and imperative, interrogative, and conditional statements signifies the veritable
influence of these devices to convince women to have sex in late sixteenth and early seventeenth
century England.
While Herrick s famous Corinna s Going A Maying depends primarily on imperative statements, it
also features logical rhetoric and first person plural narration. Likewise, the overpowering ingredient
in Donne s Eligy XIX: To His Mistress Going to Bed is also the imperative statement, although he
also includes a dash of logic and interrogation. Similarly, Donne arranges interrogative statements,
logical reasoning, and first person plural narration into The Good Morrow. Marvell s To His Coy
Mistress is particularly unique in its ample use of conditional statements in combination with other
devices. To reiterate, the recurrence of literary elements in seduction poetry around the late sixteenth
and early seventeenth centuries in England clearly demonstrates their persuasive impact upon women
of the time.
Often considered to be the greatest Cavalier poet, Herrick focuses on pastoral themes and English
village customs in his poetry. Corinna s Going A Maying, a

French Gel Manicure Essay
French Gel Manicure
Firstly, What is a French manicure?
The word French manicure was launched by American actresses a few years ago. It is compared to the
French touch to talk about a technique of beautification of the nails with a careful, elegant and
distinguished, as are the French.
The most surprising is that in France, it was called the American manicure since it is the Americans
who launched this fashion.
Now just take a look at how French Gel Manicure is done.
The French Gel manicure is a technique that makes beautiful nails and therefore the hand, in a simple
way but with a neat and refined result.
Here are the steps of the French Gel manicure carried out in the salons by professionals:

To begin, it will disinfect your hands and remove the remains of your old varnish with a non greasy,

It will then file and sand the nail to equalize it and push the cuticle so that everything is clean on the

Webster defines anxiety as fear or nervousness... while the DSM 5 says Anxiety disorders differ from
developmentally normative fear or anxiety by being excessive... beyond developmentally appropriate

intervention to increase overall fluency and comprehension ability. (p. 252) The highly converging
support from by now an extensive research base for repeated reading raises the question: What is it
about repeated reading that facilitates reading fluency? Researchers have suggested that difficulty in
word recognition is a major obstacle to fluent reading, while maintaining that reading is a complex
process involving multiple levels of processing from word decoding to deriving meaning from
sentences, paragraphs, and the text as a whole and that fluency can be jeopardized by a breakdown at
any of these levels (Logan, 1997). LaBerge and Samuels (1974) argued that slow decoding creates a
bottleneck that impedes the flow of thought and hampers comprehension. Poor readers often spend a
great deal of their cognitive resources on decoding and have little left for comprehension. Conversely,
good readers decode

Analysis Of Divergent As A Dystopian Film
Respond critically to significant connections across texts, supported by evidence.
Throughout all four of my dystopian films a strong theme that has been brought to the surface is the
idea of individuality is the enemy . As a dystopian film is an illusion of the perfect society, they go
hand in hand. The illusion of a perfect society is typically maintained through the use of corporate
bodies and entities. Dystopian films are typical to play on the worst case scenario of a situation, within
the four films studied Divergent, Macbeth, V for Vendetta and Mokingjay part 2, the worst case
scenario is seen when the government takes control and citizens are under constant supervision or fear
for their everyday lives. Within these dystopian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These are all themes that relate to homicides, people are generally killed when they have more power
than someone else or they simply don t want to deal with the problem anymore. It is in this movie that
we see Tris and Four defeat the system, they firstly defeat the system through their manner, the fact
that they are able to confront their deepest fears and are able to see through the idea of a perfect
society. Divergent s also work out that you don t need to be paired with people that share the mutual
hate that you have towards another faction in this case. Tris and Four manipulate the system as they
can see that the government has split up everyone so that they don t unite and combine all of their skill
sets. This is why we see that the government purposely divides people to stop them from combining
their skill sets and becoming more powerful than the government. Showing how Tris and four are
feared to the government and displaying individuality is the enemy.
This relates to the homicide rate in Chicago in the current world as the year that Tris and Four
defeated the system the homicides in real life decreased. Showing that the homicide rate in Chicago
was used as a draw point to establish themes throughout the movie. Through the use of editing within
Divergent it is established that the relationships between the recruits and each other are

The S WB interim team appointed by the Mayor has installed the most ridiculous solution for 25 cycle
power.
The equipment that they have installed is jeopardizing not only the lives and safety of the S WB
workers but also the residents around the plant.
The refurbishing of turbine # 4 was the worst task that has been taken by S WB. The program manager
CH2M Hill has done criminal negligence in its refurbishing. The parts that were supposed to have
been replaced with new parts has been not been installed. Instead the Program Manager CH2M Hill

Comparative Study Of Legal Systems
Comparative Study of Legal Systems Assignment 1 Name Institution Date Comparative Law: An Aid
to Legislators Comparative law has several practical applications. This has made it a very key subject
in various aspects of law practice and study. Zweigert and Kötz identify four major areas where it has
been widely and effectively used . These include being used as an aid to legislators, as a component of
the curriculum in universities, a tool of construction and as a contributor to the systemic unification of
law. All these areas underscore the importance of the subject. This treatise looks into cooperative law
as an aid to legislators. This is done by reviewing and evaluating how it has been used in different
countries of the world for legislative purposes and in the molding of the existing legal structures and
systems. The topic of the influence of foreign and cooperative law in the legislation process has
widely been investigated by several scholars. This is basically done in order to understand how
various parliaments use the foreign and comparative law in drafting, discussing and approving new
legislations. It is not by chance that a lot of focus has been put in this particular aspect of law but due
to the importance of the practice. The application of comparative law in legislation is something that
has been in existence for a long time now . Legislators from various regions of the world have always
found it hard to come up with certain legislations without

Understanding Of Non Verbal Communication
How might a greater understanding of non verbal communication benefit a door to door sales person?
Non verbal communication is defined as communication without words. It is considered important in
terms of effectiveness within the retail industry as non verbal behaviour speaks volumes about what
you are really trying to say. Evidence has shown although people may strongly attend to what you re
saying non verbal communication constitutes to two thirds of total communication (Beall 2004,2).
Hence why non verbal communication is able help improve a sales staff s service quality.
Non verbal communication is in effect a series of cues encoded by a person either consciously or
unconsciously and then subsequently decoded by the receiver. It ... Show more content on

Among facial expression eye contact plays a very significant role. It can be argued that eye contact is
the most expressive part of the face. Is it truly the window of ones soul? During social interactions
such as door to door selling it is said that a person s gaze plays a key role in building a rapport with a
customer and it is said that a prolonged eye gaze improves that rapport even move, which to a door to
door sales person is critical to build and it will improve their selling chances having built strong
rapport, as it can be argued to make them seem more trustworthy then to the customer. Michael Argyle
found that we maintain eye contact 40 60% of the time we are talking to someone but we become
much more attentive when we become the listener, maintaining eye contact with the speaker 80% of
the time. This concludes that to build a rapport with someone your gaze should meet theirs 70 80% of
the time(Argyle, 1975). This lays the base for trust, by showing the customer that you are listening to
what they are saying or asking you in return.
Smile is one of the most common affect displays. Smiles have a distinctive social signal, it can be
regarded as a persuasive tool which may help a door to door seller as the infective smile is a
transforming facial expression and a sales person should use it in

A Sphere Poem
In his 2006 collection, District and Circle , Seamus Heaney responds to the ever changing and
developing world around him. To do so he often relies upon the exploration of the past, memory, and
personal identity through the use of language. In the second poem of District and Circle , A Shiver ,
Seamus Heaney is dependent upon these concepts to construct a thematically rich poem.
Heaney s A Shiver utilises language to explore the themes of the past, memory, and personal identity.
The Petrarchan sonnet describes the action of wielding a tool: the energy that is associated with it, as
well as an understanding of the destructive power that it wields: the way you had to stand to swing the
sledge . By using a Petrarchan sonnet Heaney introduces the concept of the past within his poetry, due
to the historical context of the Renaissance style of writing. The description of the tool, in past tense
and therefore illuminating Heaney s fascination of the past, ultimately leads to a metaphor in regards
to what occurs when strength, and therefore power, falls into the wrong hands. The tool that is used
within A Shiver to demonstrate this power is a sledgehammer most commonly used by labourers as a
way to demolish material items and it is implied that Heaney himself has operated the sledgehammer
and is, almost, frightened by its power. This can then be contributed to the overall metaphor of
misused power. This metaphor also demonstrates Heaney s personal narrative voice within

Spanish Immigration Dbq Essay
The Spanish exploration of America brought many new foods, types of plants, and many forms of
wealth to the European world. However, the wealth that was brought from the Americas came at a
cost. The suffering and enslavement of the Native people and the transportation of Africans to
America to be used as slaves alongside the Natives. Many motivations were used to support this
extraction of wealth and treatment of the Natives and Africans, however two are easily verifiable. The
Spanish colonization from 1492 to 1700 was motivated by religious conversion of all peoples in
America and the desire for wealth and profit that had a significant impact on the lives of Native
Americans and Africans.
First, colonization by the Spanish was motivated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason America was discovered in the first place was because Columbus was looking for a water

Columbus realized that he was not in Asia and instead was in an whole new world basically, he sent
captured indians back the Pope to show him that the Natives could be used for labor. After this, many
conquistadors flooded to America looking for wealth and profit. Some well known conquistadors we
re Hernan Cortes, who took over the Aztec Empire and all of their wealth and sent it back to Europe.
Francisco Pizarro was an conquistador who dominated the Incas and sent the gold and silver back to
Europe. Many other Spanish people saw the wealth was brought back and thought they could get in on
the loot also. Colonization boomed after wealth came back to Spain. Another example of why wealth
was an motivator for colonization is the population increase in Europe. Since more people we re being
born, landlords we re profiting off lending land to serfs. With all the money the landlords we re
gaining, they wanted to spend that money on new, luxurious items such as cotton and sugar. Since the

Unit 3 Research Techniques For The Creative Media Industry
Unit 3 Research Techniques for the
Creative Media Industries Assignment 1
When working in the creative media industry you will need to do a lot of research and will come
across the terms, primary, secondary, quantitative, qualitative, market, audience and product research a
lot. The reason for this is because they are the different types of research you will need to use when
gathering information that you need.
Primary research is any type of research that you collect yourself. There are many ways to do so such
as surveys and questionnaires, interviews, observations, focus groups and participating in internet
forums.
The biggest benefit of primary research would be that you can create questionnaires and surveys with
questions that are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You would use a questionnaire to collect data for a survey research. They are normally administered
via telephone, internet and paper. When carrying out a questionnaire or survey you need to consider
weather open or closed questions would be more relevant to the point of the survey/questionnaire. An
open question is a type of question that requires more than just a one word answer and a closed
question is a question that only requires a one word answer, generally yes or no. Surveys /
questionnaires are a good way to gather information because you get the opinions and preferences of
certain groups of people (e.g. genre of game that a gamer prefers, what sort of toys a child plays with).
They don t just have to be aimed at a certain age range it can be aimed at any group of people such as
people who enjoy games, people who enjoy movies or even people who hate certain things, they are
only based on a matter of opinion. These opinions then turn into facts and statistics (e.g. 75% of
people asked enjoy playing games but 25% do not, or 6% of people like doing something but 96% do
not), these statistics are things you will need when generating ideas as you need to know whether the
thing you are making will sell (e.g. according to the statistics the game that will be designed has a very
high chance of selling). When

Wash Your Nails Research Paper
Every girl wants a great set of nails. We want them to be long, strong, and shiny. When you sit down
and do your nails, the last thing you want is the paint to smudge, chip, or even your nail to totally
break. ANNOYING! Just to give you all a brief backstory on my nails, my nails used to be fabulous
before I moved to LA. Once I arrive, they became brittle and cracked at the tips. They were not pretty.
Even paying for a quick $20 manicure never really helped. So I turned to my great source and
knowledgeable pal, Google. Here are some quick tips I would like to share.
1. Do Not Wash Your Hands
I always thought you were to wash your hands and nails prior to applying your nail color to get rid of
any debris or polish remover. However, this can cause your nails and cuticles to trap moisture which
will later help promote your polish to chip. Instead, I would recommend taking a cotton ball and
applying some rubbing alcohol to help remove any debris from your nails. ... Show more content on

Sanitize Your Utensils
I had no clue that I should sanitize my emory board, but it does make total sense. When using clippers,
cuticle cutters, files, and buffers, it is highly recommended to disinfect with warm water and
antibacterial soap or Barbicide. Clippers are prone to catching bacteria from the tip of your fingers,
just below your nails. This bacteria can grow rapidly if the clippers are stored in a bathroom where it
is dark, hot and humid. If the bacteria are left on the clippers, you are allowing the bacteria to get
under your nails which can help aid in

Examples Of Delusion In Don Quixote
Miguel Cervantes Don Quixote is a masterpiece in many senses of the word: at the time of its
conception, it was hailed as a revolutionary work of literature that defined a genre, in later centuries
regarded as an acerbic social commentary, a slightly misshapen romantic tragedy, and even as a
synthesis of existentialist and post modernist features. At the centre of this Spanish satirical chronicle
is the perplexing character Don Quixote. Don Quixote s personality and perspective is rapidly
established fromsince the beginning of the novel, revealing unabashedly to readers that he is mad. The
source of his madness lies in the extent to which Don Quixote acts on his delusions and projections
unto reality as he saunters through Cervantes Andalusia. Don Quixote s delusions have two primary
functions in the novel: demonstrating the reality and tragedy of Cervantes manifestation of idyllic
themes of love and chivalry, and revealing certain characteristics about narration. A role of Don
Quixote s delusions is to provide a glimpse into a situation where the chivalric code is implemented.

Privacy and Computer Technology
Privacy and Computer Technology
Today, the development of technology is spread all over the world and so are ethical issues. Because
of the widespread, computer ethics are boiling down distinguishing what is good from what is wrong
mentality. Everyone s view on computer ethics differ, however all should keep in mind the value of
ethics when making decisions that are ethics based. The golden rules of computer ethics state that, one
should do to one another what he/she thinks should be done to them and if at least quite a number of
people obey the golden rule, then there would be no many issues concerning computer ethics as they
are today. The computer ethics that surround us presently brought by software, and social networking
sites have plagued the cyber world for many years.
Software Issues Nowadays, most people in the organization are overlooking ethical use of software.
By an organization purchasing any kind of software does not give privileges that they own the
software, and therefore can use it anyhow. Organization should put in mind that they never own any
software, but what they actually have is the license for using the software purchased. It is therefore a
requisite for every organizations and small companies to accept the terms as well as the conditions that
apply upon using software. Accepting the copyright terms guarantees people never to use the
purchased software for anything else other than what is intended to be used for, hence no copies
should be made

Dr Steinberg Amicus Brief Analysis
According to the textbook, Dr. Steinberg and his colleagues wrote an amicus brief regarding the
American Psychological Association s stance on the psychological maturity of adolescents. The
amicus brief states that adolescents have the right to seek an abortion without any parental consent.
The APA believes that adolescents are as mature as adults. Steinberg and his colleagues also believe
this to be true. They think adolescents have the skills when it comes to getting an abortion, but when it
comes to criminal responsibility adolescents are immature. Do you believe this to be true? Well, in my
opinion, I do agree with Steinberg when he says adolescents are immature when it comes to criminal
responsibility. However, I do have to disagree ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I know that there are so many issues that can influence the adolescent s ability to partake in the
decision making process such as age, knowledge, and development. If you compare an adult to an
adolescent, the adult brain is already developed and capable of making rational, careful decisions. For
example, if an adult were to make a decision on abortion, they would carefully weigh all their options,
talk about it with close family, friends, and decide what to do next. Where as an adolescent, their brain
is still premature, which can effect their decision on abortion. The prefrontal cortex is located in the
adolescent s brain, and it is the area of the brain that s not fully developed. This part of the brain
controls reasoning, impulses, emotions, forms judgments, and helps people think before they act.
Therefore, it plays a huge role for people, especially when having to make such crucial decisions.
More often than not, adolescents are less likely to think before they act, and they normally don t
consider the consequences of their decision. Whole heartedly, I believe that adolescents are not
mentally prepared to make a decision on getting an

Vietnam War Point Of View
Despite popular belief, Vietnam has been the battleground for only a limited number of military
conflicts in history. The country fell under the rule of China and France at early points in its history
before claiming its full independence in 1945. Many Americans still view Vietnam from the Vietnam
War point of view because it ended in a United States defeat. Since that war almost 40 years ago,
Vietnam s leadership has had a plan in place to rebuild the country s infrastructure and solidify its
place in the world. Today, Vietnam continues to thrive economically by taking advantage of its natural
resources and location despite being the home to one of the last single party Socialist governments in
the world. Vietnam is a long winding section of land on the eastern side of the Indochinese peninsula.
Including its island area, it has just over 128,000 miles of land, or slightly more space than the state of
New Mexico. Vietnam has three borders countries: China (to the north), Laos (to the central west) and
Cambodia (to the southwest). On a map, the country looks like an elongated S just over 1,000 miles in
length and only 31 miles in width at its maximum. Three main bodies of water also border Vietnam.
The water boundaries are the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest, the South China Sea to the southeast,
and the Gulf of Tonkin to the northeast. The country claims the first 12 nautical miles off its shoreline
as territorial property and the first 200 nautical miles as an

  • 2. Negative Images Of African Americans I would argue that most of the images in which society has provided the African American community with are negative images of African American women. For example, on VH1 there are shows like Basketball Wives, and Love and Hip Hop in which from the surface appears to be a group of friends that like to hang out, shop and party however, as you watch the show the ladies are depicted as hypersexual, sex objects, violent, hostile, aggressive and use derogatory terms when referring to each other. This is a problem due to the fact African American adolescents do not have enough positive images in which they can utilize in assisting them in developing a positive self image, self esteem or just a general idea of self worth. With there being a lack ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Dana Write Up Bella Healthcare India Essay EMSM TP19 Dana Lin Team is Ready but Say NO to Project TKO After Project Baton, was the Bella India team fully equipped to lead a new product development project? Was Project TKO the right one to tackle? I think Bella India team is fully equipped to lead new product development especially for India market. However, Project TKO is not the right one to tackle. Why is the team ready for India market? Because there is big market demand and Bella India team has all the knowledge to meet the market requirement. For market demand, the EKG equipment market in emerging economies were expected to have 10% growth per annum as both the need and ability to pay for better cardiac care increase, and India is one of the fast growing markets. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This means the demand is lesser but the competition is stronger. If Bella India wants to develop a new product for a new market, I suggest they focus their investment on the product segment that is growing and competition is smaller. Among the growing product segment, I think 6/12 channel is the potential segment to develop because its projected growth is the biggest and by 2017, it will be almost 3 times bigger than it is now (2010). And there are only 4 main players and market share is almost equally spread on 3 of them. This may imply that their products are similar in function and pricing. With Bella team s innovative design of mobile connectivity which also gives their new product advantage to compete with these 6/12 channel main market players. What s more, the TKO is planed to incorporate a digital image and communications (DICOM) is not a right choice, either. Since this is not critical in the near term, it s not necessary to add this feature at this time. This feature can be developed as a wave 2 stage or an upgraded version to sell in another time when the market is able to use and buy. More features add more cost. The challenging of the new product development is not only time but also cost. Because there are a lot of competitors are working on similar products already, if Bella India team wants to have first mover advantage, they have to complete production before anyone else. And take ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Process Of Assessment And Diagnosis The Process of Assessment and Diagnosis in Therapy Basic Elements The ability to conduct an efficient and effective clinical and diagnostic interview is arguably one of the most valued therapeutic skills. It is during the interview that the therapist learns about the difficulties and challenges experienced by the couple and begins to form the foundations for a healing professional relationship. There are three basic assessment elements that should guide every interviewing session. The first is establishing rapport. Establishing rapport refers to creating an open, trusting, and safe relationship with the couple or family. The course of establishing an effective couple clinician relationship will vary, but an overarching goal of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Biblical Anthropology and Assessment A proper assessment from a biblical anthropological perspective needs to take into account the image of God as part of human nature. The three dimensions of the image of God (relational, structural and functional) form the core of human nature. Humans are relational beings with the structural capacity to relate to others and fulfill their purpose in this life. These three dimensions were damaged or affected after the Fall. As discussed previously, normality and pathology are connected with the sinful human condition. In order to develop an effective treatment plan, McMinn and Campbell (2007) recommend assessing issues associated with each of the three elements of human nature. They suggested starting with the assessment of thoughts and behaviors, and moving on to assessing schemas and interpersonal functioning. While both the functional and the structural assessment dimensions will be considered in the following section, this chapter will emphasize the influence of the relational dimension of the image of God as the primary reason for abnormality in the functional and the structural domains. Sin is a relational issue, and this separation from God and other selves is responsible for the abnormality in human beings. Assessing Maladaptive Thoughts and Behaviors (Functional Domain). When God created ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Reflection On Present Day By Solnit We as a society are Connected to death, to fear, to the unknown, but in being so connected one could feel empathy, passion, and heroism as well (Solnit, 55) . Solnit is speaking of the tragedy of the 9/11 attacks in 2001. A life altering event for our entire nation struck in a blink of an eye. The same reaction spread with school shootings such as Columbine and Sandy Hook. We, as a nation, bond over tragedy and failure in order to boost back morale, strength, and hope. Solnit, in this section of reading, focuses on the act of togetherness, from 9/11 to the Zapatistas, to present day. Time and time again our society is shown to thrive amongst our walls in the act of togetherness, producing more hope, reason, and caring than any other time. This made me think, why do we only become cohesive and accepting when we fail? Why do we only show love and compassion to others different than us when we need help? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Growing up, the Golden Rule was: Treat others the way you want to be treated. This rule carried with me to present day. I constantly ask myself, is this right? Would I be okay with what I am doing if someone did it right back to me? I believe in this world, we need to be kind and respectful to others. We need to reach out together, set goals together, and boost our morale s together. Single handedly, we cannot accomplish much. We rely on others opinions, previous research, and ideas to guide us through life and create new ideas to further our society. Solnit states the importance of learning from past history, and not repeating the same mistakes. We can t avoid resurfacing the past if we are divided and unwilling to compromise. We can t move forward if we refuse to treat other humans as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. How Spirit Airlines With American Airlines Essay WHY I CHOSE THIS COMPANY Founded in 1964, Spirit Airlines actually began operations in the trucking industry under the name Clippert Trucking Company, based in Michigan. In subsequent years the firm encountered many changes in name, headquarters, as well as shifted into different industries entirely. In 1983, the company branched out into the charter tour operating sector, as Charter One. Particularly, they provided tours to entertainment destinations such as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and the islands to the southeast of Florida known as The Bahamas. Almost three decades late in 1992, the company officially changed its name to the ultra low cost passenger carrier company we all know today as Spirit Airlines, which is based in Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, under CEO Ben Baldanza. These series of changes in industry, in combination with the fact that I am an avid Spirit flyer, definitely sparked my interest in further investigating the financial stance of the company. PURPOSE The purpose of this study is to compare Spirit Airlines with American Airlines using the financial ratios of liquidity, activity, debt, profitability and the market, and to derive some concrete conclusions about the financial nature of Spirit Airlines. According to Spirit Airlines (2015) Historic Stock Lookup, from 2011 to 2014, the year end stock prices have increased by 79.4%, which is outstanding. Thus, Spirit Airlines will be used as a benchmark in terms of comparing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Kurt Vonnegut s The Five People You Meet In Heaven Kurt Vonnegut s 1969 novel is based on a man named Billy Pilgrim who is an anti war hero; he was the most unprepared soldier of them all and was considered a joke. Pilgrim was scrawny and tall; going into the war he did not have any proper equipment. Throughout the story Billy is time traveling due to the fact the he was abducted by aliens known as the Tralfamadorians. Since Billy has been through so many time periods and knows how certain situations turn out he is very content with his life and is fearless. Billy tries to tell his family and the world about this experience; but of course, no one believes him. Other characters are very minor and only come out when Billy is in a certain time period. The theme or plot structure here is going through time but already knowing what the future holds, in the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven, there are some similar qualities. This takes place in the 1920s with an 83 year old man named Eddie who s job is maintaining rides at an amusement park. In this Eddie risks his life in order to save a little girl who was in danger while on a ride, there were others on the ride too and luckily they got out safe. He saved these people on the day of his birthday, but unfortunately, it would be his last. Eddie makes his way to heaven, but has to meet five people in order to know how this was his fate. A blue man would guide him to the people he would be encountering. Each of us was in your life for a reason (Mitch 21). Just as each person Billy met in his lifetime served a purpose. Without Roland Weary Billy would not have lived, and without the people Eddie met he would not have faced his true fate. Vonnegut and Mitch both created excellent themes by taking a different path with their use of time travel and symbolism for each event that occurred in these men ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Tommy John Research Paper Tommy John Surgery Tommy John surgery, or more well known as ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, is a surgery in which a ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with a ligament from elsewhere in the body. This replacement ligament is usually taken from the forearm, hamstring, or foot of the patient. This ligament is needed for everyday things such as twisting a doorknob. This injury is usually seen in professional baseball pitchers because of the daily repetitive throwing and because of violent motions from throwing a baseball. RA Dickey was born without a UCL and pitches in the majors. Doctors still do not know how he can do this because you should not be able to do anything this way. A torn elbow ligament was the most common cause of The Dead Arm Injury era, the 20th century. This was uncommon before this time. Long before then, because of the lack of research on the injury, this gave pitcher s a 1 in 100 chance of returning and being able to pitch. Until in 1974 Dr. Frank Jobe developed a procedure for pitcher Tommy John (who the surgery was named after). With vivid research of the ligaments inside the medial elbow he developed a way to make the elbow back to normal strength or in some cases much more stronger. This surgery consisted of the new tendon being implanted and woven in a figure eight pattern through holes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even with this training a quick recovery is considered an elongated 13 months. Most people take close to 18 months and however long it takes would not be able to pitch immediately. In fact, the political relationship between USA and URSS was constituted by periods of high tension and periods of relaxation. In fact, the most tragical period of the Cold War was recorded between the 1947 and the 1953, period in which the American President H. Truman gave way at the development of the so called Truman Doctrine , expressing the need for a containment of the USSR and communism. Subsequently, with the election of the American president Eisenhower and the appointment of Khrushchev as Secretary of the CPSU, the two superpowers experienced a new phase of peaceful coexistence . Bubonic Plague Globalization In studying the effects of globalization and institutional efficacy on the spread of animal host epidemics it is important to recognize and attempt to control for the differing host variables and disease spread patterns in both Avian Influenza A (H5N1) and Bubonic Plague. There are two main features of variability between Avian Influenza outbreaks and Bubonic plague pandemics that I find prudent to acknowledge in order to give my cross historical comparison of the political response to these diseases a solid grounding. The first is the basic function and spread of the diseases. Avian Flu and Bubonic plague differ in their level of danger partially due to their transmission mediums and forms. The second is the basic movement and behavioral ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rats proclivity towards the human condition of surplus food supplies and trash production created a system whereby these rodents cohabitation with humans, to the displeasure of the humans, was greatly supportive of large rat populations (McCormick, 2003). In his 2003 study, McCormick goes into great detail surrounding the intimate relationship between human urbanization and increasing rat populations. These animals, did not only survive, but thrived on continued interaction with human created systems of roads, cereal storage, waste disposal, and climate controlled housing (McCormick, 2003). This parasitic relationship clearly makes some institutional controls available in a more domestic case less viable, but can still be mildly controlled as seen in modern steps towards urban sanitation including widespread eradication of rat population in modern cities (McCormick, ... There are many parallels between my life and Junot Diaz s life. We both came from low income families struggling for that pesky paycheck. Researchers have suggested that difficulty in word recognition is a major obstacle to fluent reading, while maintaining that reading is a complex process involving multiple levels of processing from word decoding to deriving meaning from sentences, paragraphs, and the text as a whole and that fluency can be jeopardized by a breakdown at any of these levels (Logan, 1997). • 28. A Sphere Poem In his 2006 collection, District and Circle , Seamus Heaney responds to the ever changing and developing world around him. To do so he often relies upon the exploration of the past, memory, and personal identity through the use of language. In the second poem of District and Circle , A Shiver , Seamus Heaney is dependent upon these concepts to construct a thematically rich poem. Heaney s A Shiver utilises language to explore the themes of the past, memory, and personal identity. The Petrarchan sonnet describes the action of wielding a tool: the energy that is associated with it, as well as an understanding of the destructive power that it wields: the way you had to stand to swing the sledge . By using a Petrarchan sonnet Heaney introduces the concept of the past within his poetry, due to the historical context of the Renaissance style of writing. The description of the tool, in past tense and therefore illuminating Heaney s fascination of the past, ultimately leads to a metaphor in regards to what occurs when strength, and therefore power, falls into the wrong hands. The tool that is used within A Shiver to demonstrate this power is a sledgehammer most commonly used by labourers as a way to demolish material items and it is implied that Heaney himself has operated the sledgehammer and is, almost, frightened by its power. This can then be contributed to the overall metaphor of misused power. This metaphor also demonstrates Heaney s personal narrative voice within ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Examples Of Delusion In Don Quixote Miguel Cervantes Don Quixote is a masterpiece in many senses of the word: at the time of its conception, it was hailed as a revolutionary work of literature that defined a genre, in later centuries regarded as an acerbic social commentary, a slightly misshapen romantic tragedy, and even as a synthesis of existentialist and post modernist features. At the centre of this Spanish satirical chronicle is the perplexing character Don Quixote. Don Quixote s personality and perspective is rapidly established fromsince the beginning of the novel, revealing unabashedly to readers that he is mad. The golden rules of computer ethics state that, one should do to one another what he/she thinks should be done to them and if at least quite a number of people obey the golden rule, then there would be no many issues concerning computer ethics as they are today. The computer ethics that surround us presently brought by software, and social networking sites have plagued the cyber world for many years. Software Issues Nowadays, most people in the organization are overlooking ethical use of software. By an organization purchasing any kind of software does not give privileges that they own the software, and therefore can use it anyhow. Organization should put in mind that they never own any software, but what they actually have is the license for using the software purchased. It is therefore a requisite for every organizations and small companies to accept the terms as well as the conditions that apply upon using software. • 34. Dr Steinberg Amicus Brief Analysis According to the textbook, Dr. Steinberg and his colleagues wrote an amicus brief regarding the American Psychological Association s stance on the psychological maturity of adolescents. The amicus brief states that adolescents have the right to seek an abortion without any parental consent. The APA believes that adolescents are as mature as adults. Steinberg and his colleagues also believe this to be true. They think adolescents have the skills when it comes to getting an abortion, but when it comes to criminal responsibility adolescents are immature. Do you believe this to be true? Well, in my opinion, I do agree with Steinberg when he says adolescents are immature when it comes to criminal responsibility. However, I do have to disagree ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I know that there are so many issues that can influence the adolescent s ability to partake in the decision making process such as age, knowledge, and development. If you compare an adult to an adolescent, the adult brain is already developed and capable of making rational, careful decisions. For example, if an adult were to make a decision on abortion, they would carefully weigh all their options, talk about it with close family, friends, and decide what to do next. Where as an adolescent, their brain is still premature, which can effect their decision on abortion. The prefrontal cortex is located in the adolescent s brain, and it is the area of the brain that s not fully developed. This part of the brain controls reasoning, impulses, emotions, forms judgments, and helps people think before they act. Therefore, it plays a huge role for people, especially when having to make such crucial decisions. More often than not, adolescents are less likely to think before they act, and they normally don t consider the consequences of their decision. Whole heartedly, I believe that adolescents are not mentally prepared to make a decision on getting an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Vietnam War Point Of View Despite popular belief, Vietnam has been the battleground for only a limited number of military conflicts in history. The country fell under the rule of China and France at early points in its history before claiming its full independence in 1945. Many Americans still view Vietnam from the Vietnam War point of view because it ended in a United States defeat. Since that war almost 40 years ago, Vietnam s leadership has had a plan in place to rebuild the country s infrastructure and solidify its place in the world. Today, Vietnam continues to thrive economically by taking advantage of its natural resources and location despite being the home to one of the last single party Socialist governments in the world. Vietnam is a long winding section of land on the eastern side of the Indochinese peninsula. Including its island area, it has just over 128,000 miles of land, or slightly more space than the state of New Mexico. Vietnam has three borders countries: China (to the north), Laos (to the central west) and Cambodia (to the southwest). On a map, the country looks like an elongated S just over 1,000 miles in length and only 31 miles in width at its maximum. Three main bodies of water also border Vietnam. The water boundaries are the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest, the South China Sea to the southeast, and the Gulf of Tonkin to the northeast. The country claims the first 12 nautical miles off its shoreline as territorial property and the first 200 nautical miles as an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Hydrogen Sulfide In The Salton Sea The Salton Sea is an unique location as it is one of the few environments in the world that has wildlife but also lots of impact. Hydrogen Sulfide is one of the primary chemicals that exists in this location. The Aral Sea in between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has great similarity with the Salton Sea, as it shows a possible future for the location. Hydrogen sulfide has a naturally occurring rotten egg smell which is very a clear and obvious scent to humans. Hydrogen sulfide itself exists endogenously and exogenously, from enzymes within mammals and through industrial processes and factories (Chou 2003). Biological processes such as photosynthesis added to anaerobic environment of the Salton Sea, creating a warm, oxygen depleted body of water ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
