The Importance Of Leniency On Permit Requirements
Leniency on Permit Requirements Then, FWC s permit requirements are lenient on agriculture,
silviculture, and in the 10 or Fewer On Site permit. Agricultural activities such as tilling, planting,
harvesting, and roller chopping do not require a permit even if there are gopher tortoise burrows in the
area ( Gopher Tortoise Permitting Guidelines , 2017). The same guidelines are applicable for
silviculture, even though silviculture activities have the possibility of degrading the habitat type
tortoises require. The 10 or Fewer On Site permit is forgiving for what is considered suitable habitat
left on site. Suitable habitat on site is defined as set aside areas that are not disturbed by construction
activities and provides a safe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Relocating wildlife can cause stress (and thus compromise their immune system), expose them to an
area where they have no experience, expose them up to territory disputes, expose them to the risk that
recipient sites may not be completely suitable, and spread disease ( Relocating Wildlife , n.d.).
Although RRT [Relocation, Repatriation, and Translocation] programs may work under certain
circumstances, they should not be used unless all parties involved are prepared to make the necessary
commitment (Dodd and Seigel, 1991, p. 347). If relocations are going to be a primary conservation
effort for the gopher tortoise, then increasing research on relocated gopher tortoise populations must
be a priority. Overall, the FWC s management goal is to increase the gopher tortoise population. So,
information on the long term welfare of the relocated populations is imperative. The downsides to the
long term data collection and research required is the resources needed. Lack of Research and Data
Next, inadequate data is a hinderance to the proper management of the gopher tortoise. The
management plan estimates that Florida s current gopher tortoise habitat is 3.3 million acres, with an
estimated 785,000 gopher tortoises ( Gopher Tortoise Management Plan , 2012). However, the data
presented in the 2012 Gopher Tortoise Management Plan was calculated from GIS data that was
collected in 2003. This is problematic considering that

ABSTRACT
The bacterial spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi is the causative agent of the most commonly reported
arthropod borne illness in the United States, Lyme disease. Select proteins produced by B. burgdorferi
contain the von Willebrand Factor A (VWFA) domain, which is responsible for cell adhesion via
interaction with the extracelluar matrix (ECM), glycoproteins, and metalloproteases. Such interactions
are often an integral part of the infection process and may be especially important for B. burgdorferi,
which relies on environmental changes in both the vector and host to colonize, transmit, and infect.
BB0173, a VWFA domain containing protein, has been evaluated based on topology and adherence to
human ECM proteins and integrins, to evaluate its role during the infection process. The confirmation
of protein localization was performed by cloning the each of the three BB0173 transmembrane
domains upstream of the luminal P2 domain of the integral membrane protein leader peptidase found
in Escherichia coli. Gene expression was investigated via immunoblot assays using lysates from B.

A Report On Company Bio
Introduction
Since change is a natural occurrence in the business world, organizations use it for its advantage. With
change come planning, companies often develop recommendation to solve issues with changes. It s
important for organizations to strategically choosing the one that will reap the most benefits. It is
important for organizations to take time and effort to properly implement chosen recommendations. In
this report we will provide recommendations and create an implementation plan for the
recommendations for the company we discussed in assignment one.
Company Bio
The company this report will cater to is 7 Eleven. 7 Eleven began in Dallas, Texas, back in 1927 has
grown and evolved into the world s largest operator, franchisor ... Show more content on

7 Eleven has recently introduced a variety of healthy snack and food options to meet the demand of a
healthy lifestyle. The change that was discussed in Assignment #1 was the creation of the fresh
preparation kitchen and food service for the Classic Crispy Chicken Program. 7 Eleven had done this
so they can be seen as a place where individuals can find the products they love and also be the place
where they can receive a delicious meal at a reasonable cost. As mentioned in the first paper the
images of change that are used at 7 Eleven were navigator and director. The director image of change
is has a strong focus on allowing management to control results and they want to achieve goals are
possible (Palmer, Dunford, Akin, 2009, Pg. 25). While a navigator is seen as control is seen as the
heart of management action, although a variety of external factors mean that managers may achieve
some intended change outcomes and others will occur over which they have little control (Palmer,
Dunford, Akin, 2009, Pg. 27).
Alternative Solutions
In the following section I will provide 7 Eleven with recommendations on how to increase the
effectiveness and efficiency of the company since the original change. These recommendations
address time and cost components as well.

Victor s Physical Appearance In Frankenstein
Many parts in Frankenstein show how The Creature s physical appearance hinders his ability to
become a part of the human community. Everyone who sees him assume that he is this evil creature
who will harm them. Everyone rejects his longing to become a part of the community including his
creator, Victor, who spent almost two years constructing him, villagers, and youth. Victor s initial
reaction is that The Creature is an it . Even De Lacey, who cannot see The Creature, seems to be
excluding him from humanity by the way he speaks. Despite The Creature s attempts to enter society,
he is a singular being and therefore outside of humanity. He is unnatural, and therefore lacks human
nature. He is excluded based on these facts, but he tries to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Creature then continues on and finds a village. Upon viewing the village, he says How miraculous
did this appear! the huts, the neater cottages, and stately houses engaged my admiration by turns. The
vegetables in the gardens, the milk and cheese that I saw placed at the windows of some cottages,
allured my appetite. One of the best of these I entered; but I had hardly placed my foot within the door
before the children shrieked, and one of the women fainted. The whole village was roused; some fled,
some attacked me, until, grievously bruised by stones and many other kinds of missile weapons, I
escaped to the open country and fearfully took refuge in a low hovel, quite bare, and making a
wretched appearance after the palaces I had beheld in the village. (Shelley 108 9) After the villagers
attacked him, he began to realize that there was something wrong because the reaction that they had to
him was not okay. By this time he did not realize that he looks different than them, therefore he is
confused as to why he is not

The Use Of The Beck Hopelessness Scale ( Bhs )
A client admits to alcohol dependency on a consistant and regular basis because the loss of job. The
client exhibits hopelessness and depression. The client has explained they experiencing insomnia, and
decreased energy to do anything. This explains their poor personal hygiene. As the clinician the safety
of the client is of the utmost importance. The use of the Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS) is for the
purpose of aiding the clinician in the determining if the client is suicidal. It is important to gather as
much information as possible to ensure the safety of the client and the ethical obligation as the
clinician. Kattimani, Sarkar, Rajkumar Menon (2015) clearly explained that stressful situations are the
leading causes of compulsive suicidal attempts. Analysis of Theoretical Basis The theoretical basis for
working with someone with dependency and depression can be narrative therapy along with cognitive
behavioral therapy. Narrative therapy is from the theoretical approach that individuals have their own
unique narratives (Phipps Vorster, 2015). The intervention approached should be gentle with caution
to translate what the client s story means to them and guide them towards change in a meaningful and
productive way (Phipps Vorster, 2015). For example, the this particular client may explain their series
of events as devastating and life altering. Using a narrative theoretical approach externalizing the
words the client uses. The client expresses

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Membrane Filtration
The increased cost of water consumption and wasteful require treatment process that is integrated with
the circuits of water on the ground rather than as a subsequent treatment (19). From this point of view,
membrane filtration offers a potential application. The processes that use membranes offer exciting
possibilities for separation of dyestuffs and dyeing auxiliaries that reduce simultaneously hydrolysed
color and biochemical oxygen demand /chemical oxygen demand of wastewater; generally used to
treat effluent reactive dye bath, that could potentially reduce the volume of waste and recovery

limited lifetime before it happens fouling of the membrane and the cost is also excessive (21). The

Maintain nanofiltration membranes of low molecular weight organic compounds, divalent ions, large
monovalent ions, Hydrolyzed reactive dyes and dyeing of auxiliaries. Harmful effects of high
concentrations of dye and salts in dye house outflows have often been reported (33, 34, 35). In most
published studies on dye waste water, the concentration of mineral salts is not more than 20 g / l and
the concentration of dye does not exceed 1.5 g / l (36). In general, the wastewater is reconstituted with
only one dye (37), and the volume studied is also low. The treatment of waste water by nanofiltration
is one of the rare applications that are possible for the treatment of solutions with highly concentrated
and complex solutions (38). An important problem is the accumulation of dissolved solids, which
eliminates the treated discharge outflows in water currents

Nursing Practicum Proposal Essay
Nursing students today are diverse with different learning styles. Nursing educators must shape
students to become critical thinkers and there are a host of approaches for instructors to develop
needed teaching skills (Kostovich et al., 2007). There are many models of education styles; one to
fashion teaching after is from Kolb s model in 1985 which suggests matching learning methods to
teaching approaches. However, educators need to become proficient in identifying individual student
learning styles. Nursing educators should also recognize their own teaching style and the effect it has
on learner development and socialization (National League for Nursing, 2007). The National League
for Nursing (NLN) has developed eight core ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The simulation environment offers a safe place for students to practice critical scenarios and gain
confidence in proscribed settings (Decker, Sportsman, Puetz, Billings, 2008). Simulation helps faculty
to facilitate learning which meets one of the NLN s core competencies. Simulation also enhances
communication through emerging leadership and delegation skills, and builds teamwork through goal
and priority setting (Dillon, Noble, Kaplan, 2009). Therefore, according to Lasater (2007) simulation
is highly effective as an adjunct teaching strategy in clinical practice. My chosen practicum will be
teaching in the skills/simulation lab at NCMC. This paper will outline how the experience will
enhance my knowledge and develop skills necessary to fulfill the role of nurse educator. The goals,
objectives, and timeline will be discussed in this paper. The project that will be developed during the
practicum experience will be a debriefing philosophy and evaluation tool to assess student learning
with emphasis on critical thinking skills. Professional Experience I have been a nurse for the past 25
years, and started my career on an orthopedic unit at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. After six years of
developing my assessment and clinical skills as an orthopedic nurse, I decided it was time to challenge

Anne Moody s Influence On A Plantation
Anne Moody grew up in the south as a sharecropper on a plantation in the postwar south that still had
Jim Crow controlling what the black population was able to do and what they couldn t do. The Moody
family was poor and was trying to make a living working for a white farmer. They and the other black
plantation workers lived in a tiny two bed shack without electricity and plumbing, while the Carter s
house had both. Anne s childhood was very difficult when her father decided to leave the family and
have an affair with another black women. After this happened Anne, her mother, and her siblings
moved around a lot while Anne s mother, Toosweet, look for work. Eventually working as a waitress
and as a maid for white families. Even while the family is struggling Anne continues to do well in
school and decides to start working part time as well to help put food on the table for the family. She
was only in fourth grade. Some of white families that she worked for even encouraged her to continue
her studies as she got to high school, while others were extreme racists and accused her and her
brother of doing things that they didn t do. As time went on Anne s mother meets Raymond Davis and
start a relationship with each other and Anne starts to enjoy her new life, but starts to get into several
conflicts with her mother. It wasn t until Anne heard about the killing of Emmett Till that she started

Analysis Of Ung Chang s Wild Swans
ung Chang s Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China follows three generations of woman in China
through live and political struggles. China s transformation between 1910s and 1970s, was one of
radical change and caused great suffering. The importance of Chang s book is its in a women s point
of view by showing the suffering and healing that occurred and to educate about the history of China
through the Warlord, Japanese, and Mao rule. The book is laid out through three generations:
grandma, mom, and the author. Though, it could be looked at through the Warlord period, Japanese
rule, and the Communist rule. Grandma s story started in the warlord period of China. Mom s story
was through the Japanese control and Pre Mao. The author s story was through Mao s rule of China.
The book is organized by the history of the family and China. It goes both through the story of China
and her family. It shows the progression of China through the lives of her family and her. Each chapter
of Wild Swans contributes to Chang s main point by stacking one idea on another. One event leads to
another. For example, the Chinese were treated terribly under the role of the Japanese. After Japan lost
World War II, Soviet and Mongolian troops entered China.1 This lead the Chinese to revolt against the
Japanese who were still living in China by school children beating up their Japanese teachers.2
Afterwards, two parties, the Communist and the Kuomintang, started to battle each other to become

Minimum Legal Drinking Age
Young adults drinking under the age of 21 only has negative impacts on today s society and will only
get worse by lowering the minimum legal drinking age. Currently, the legal drinking age in the United
States is 21 years old and it should stay that way. Reason being, that only positive results have come
from making the minimum legal drinking age 21. These positive results include lower costs, less
alcohol related car crashes, and avoiding other dangers like unwanted pregnancy and young adults
being unable to defend themselves while under the influence of dangerous characters. At the age of
18, you may be considered an adult, but you do not have all of the rights that a 21 year old holds.

Underage drinking actually costs the United States a lot of money. In 2007, underage drinking cost the
U.S. $68 billion or $1 for every single drink consumed (Haynes, Melodee). You may ask, how can this
be? Well to get to our total of $68 billion, first, there are the medical bills from accidents related to the
consuming of alcohol underage which totaled to about $7.4 billion. Also, $14.9 billion from income
loss and $45.7 billion from pain and suffering which totals to $68 billion, the total amount of money
spent towards this issue (Haynes, Melodee). Since lowering the drinking age will increase car crashes,
insurance rates will rise because of higher premiums from traffic accidents or convictions for driving
under the influence. Other things that may cost you money are the unwanted pregnancies from teens
being drunk and having unprotected sex. This will either lead to an abortion, which costs money, or
you will need to take care of the baby, which can cause an endless amount of money. Also, the child
could be born with fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) which would add even more expenses for treatment.
The treatment for sexually transmitted diseases that you may also get from having unprotected sex
costs a significant amount of money. Lastly, the largest expense of them all is the life of a

How Does Darcy Mature
One of the hardest things to understand as you mature is that you will be wrong a lot. What is even
harder, though, is admitting to yourself that you are incorrect, and intentionally changing yourself
based on new information. The novel Pride and Prejudice revolves around Elizabeth Bennet and her
interactions with Mr. Darcy, a man she originally takes to be rude and cold, but later realizes is
generous and well mannered. This realization is part of her coming into maturity. Though she appears
as twenty one in the novel, she still only truly comes into womanhood in the moment she admits she
was wrong about Mr. Darcy after reading his explanatory letter. More than half of the novel shows
Elizabeth hating the man she met at a Netherfield ball.

Montague And Juliet In William Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet
Blame, assigning the responsibility for a fault or wrong. A play about two star crossed lovers leaves
their tragic ending to the question of, who is responsible? Romeo and Juliet, written by William
Shakespeare, explores the many possibilities of who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo Montague
and Juliet Capulet. Through his use of characterization and conflict, Shakespeare proves that families
should carry the blame as a whole. Illustrating how the Capulets parent their child compared to the
Montague techniques is one of many ways Shakespeare shows the role of family in blame. Juliet and
her parents had been discussing an arranged marriage between Juliet and County Paris. Unfortunately,
Romeo has already married Juliet so she is unable to follow her parents wishes. Juliet attempts to
express her desire to not marry Paris when her father becomes enraged and says, But, an you will not
wed, I ll pardon you. Graze where you will, you shall not house with me, (3.4.215 216). The Capulets
are remarkably strict parents and expect their daughter to abide by them at all times. The threat to
disown her if she doesn t marry the man picked for her makes this very clear. Before Juliet met Romeo
she did what was asked of her, however, when Romeo was in the picture he gave her a taste of what
she had been restricted from. Nevertheless, the sense of rebellion had drawn Juliet to Romeo.
Consequently, the desire for this new feeling led Juliet to make drastic decisions without thinking.

The Habib s Child Care Center
Executive Summary
This report is about the business I have come up with which includes key elements of my business
idea. The Habib s Child Care Center PTY is a full service child care that cares for toddlers from age
two to four. Through focused training of the support staff and advanced learning systems, The Habib s
child care center is upper hand in terms of child development. This program, joined with a custom
designed center and a low teacher/student ratio ensures a great service for the children and the parents.
Introduction
I have come up with a new small business based in Australia. This small business is a Child care
center named Habib s Child Care Center located in Burwood. It is a suburb in the Inner West of

After spending a good amount of the semester discussing and learning about Robert Cialdini, it is safe
to say that no good discussion on influence and persuasion can go very far without talking about the
man who wrote the book on influence. After learning about Cialdini, we now know what he identifies
as the six weapons of influence. The six weapons are reciprocity, commitment and consistency, social
proof, liking, authority and scarcity. By weapons, what Cialdini really relays, are the six behavioral
triggers that tend to create habitual and expected compliance. To see if these influences really exist in

The Wartime Of The Nuremberg Trials
I. INTRODUCTION
On 8th August, 1945, shortly after the end of World War II in May of 1945, the Allied governments
entered into a joint agreement establishing the International Military Tribunal for the purpose of trying
those responsible for the war atrocities. Whereas some 5,000 Nazi s were charged with war crimes, the
Nuremberg trials were designed specifically to prosecute high ranking Nazi officials with whom the
authority for the commission of heinous atrocities rested.
The Nuremberg Trials would therefore be marked in history as one of its kind. Prior to its formation,
war crimes were limited to the military courts of the individual countries and for the very first time the
Nuremberg Trials would mark the inception of the concept of collective guilt as a justification for
punishment. The four counts of indictment were: Conspiracy to commit crimes alleged in other
counts, crimes against peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
This paper seeks to canvass the legacy of the Nuremberg Trial; the legal justifications and procedural
innovations that were once controversial and which through the turn of the century have now come to
be regarded as a milestone towards the application of principles of international law, establishment of
a permanent international criminal court enshrined under the Rome Statute and setting new precedents
for the international community. Furthermore, the author seeks to juxtapose the legal and political
justifications given for the

The Baseball Team At Oklahoma Baptist University
Dear Mr. Davenport, Director of Athletics at Oklahoma Baptist University
As you very well know, Oklahoma Baptist University competes in twenty one varsity sports at the
NCAA Division II level. Every year, approximately 500 student athletes from all around Oklahoma,
the United States, and the globe come to Bison Hill to compete on one of those twenty one teams. As a
member of the Bison baseball team, I ve been very blessed to meet and play with a diverse group of
guys. Over the first couple of months that I ve been at OBU, however, I ve noticed a barrier that
student athletes place between their team and other students. Generally, most student athletes solely
hang out with their teammates of the sport they play. Now it s important for teammates to build
chemistry with one another, but at the same time it causes a feeling of division among other students.
The most effective way to solve this problem is by putting student athletes in a position to feel unified
with the rest of the university through activities that form and strengthen relationships, student clubs
and organizations, and groups that encourage growth in Christ.
Over the course of a school year, student athletes spend a majority or their time with their teammates.
In offseason, they might spend an hour or so with their teammates, plus another hour or two in study
hall with them. Whereas during season, they could spend up to a full day or two with their teammates
on a road trip. When athletes aren t on the field,

Balzac And The Chinese Little Seamstress Analysis
In Balzac and The Chinese Little Seamstress, a historical fiction by Dai Sijie, the Little Seamstress is
transformed as Luo and the narrator tell the stories of the French books. Before she leaves, the Little
Seamstress first alters the Mao jacket for herself and asks her father to buy a pair of white tennis shoes
in Yong Jing. At the end, she even changes her hairstyle to be like a city girl. She says, a woman s
beauty is a treasure beyond price. (178) . By this statement, she means that people can be judged by
their physical appearances. I totally disagree with the Little Seamstress statement. People should never
be judged by their looks. My idea mainly comes from my experiences and what I see in media. You
know what, nobody is perfect in this world, and beauty is abstract. Beauty standards differ across
cultures and from time to time, so ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many people usually say we need to care about personality more than the looks, and they end up

a good example. All the members of One Direction are good looking, so that many teenagers spend

Cultural Anthropology
What is anthropology? Anthropology is the scientific and humanistic study of human beings. So what
is cultural anthropology? Cultural anthropology is the study of human thoughts and behaviors. As
soon as we are born we are taught what our cultural knowledge is; what our norms and values are, as
well as cultural construction and world view. Everyday we experience and encounter phenomenons
that are part of our culture; without realizing it. Before taking this class, I often thought that our
advanced society was the standard to which to measure all other societies from, but after reviewing the
material in this course, it is impossible to make such a comparison. Many of the people in a culture
similar to the U.S. would probably find most of the cultures we have studied to be slow strange or
undesirable. In fact, it seems that many of the societies actually prefer to live the way they do and they
accept it as normal. Normal is a relative term, and it is difficult to establish evidence to label a culture
or its characteristics as abnormal. What may seem to work here in the U.S. often would be disastrous
to other cultures. Last summer I had traveled parts of Europe with my friends, and it was astonishing
to see the difference between cultures. One thing that was noticed right off the bat was that the
Europeans start their week on a Monday and it ends on Sunday. While in the U.S. we start our week
on Sunday and it goes to Saturday. Also while here in the U.S we think of

The Weaknesses Of Marcus Brutus In Shakespeare s Julius...
At the end of William Shakespeare s Julius Ceasar, it was Marcus Antonius that said upon Marcus
Brutus death, This was the noblest Roman of them all... . I would have to agree with that statement for
many reasons. Though, what I ve seen as his strengths, there are some that also serve as his
weaknesses. Brutus lives by a strict moral compass and code of ethics entwined with a rigid sense of
idealism. All of which are great virtues but are also deadly flaws. Brutus acts out of a desire to limit
the self serving aspects of his actions. Ironically, however, in each instance, he dooms the very cause
that he seeks to promote, which does no one any good. Also, his commitment to principle repeatedly
leads him to make mistakes. In the play, where

St. Thomas Aquinas Arguments On Lawful Suicide
The topic of whether or not suicide is lawful is very popular among both ancient and modern
philosophers. Two of the most notable minds to opposing the issue include St. Thomas Aquinas and
Immanuel Kant. Both men come from different worlds separated by the centuries. Even though they
both oppose lawful suicide; they approach the topic in differing ways. I will analyze both of their
arguments, compare the similarities and differences, as well as provide my own though which I find to
be most agreeable. St. Thomas Aquinas is a widely renowned Christian theologian and philosopher, as
well as an important doctor of the Church. Because of his deeply rooted Catholic faith, Aquinas
reasoning is based heavily on Church doctrine and scripture. However, he is also known for his study
of Aristotle, whose more practical views he intertwines with Christian teaching. For Aquinas, the idea
of suicide is an obvious violation of Christian doctrine as well as the worst possible offence against
God. Aquinas argument against the idea of lawful suicide is rooted in the rules within his definition of
natural law. To Aquinas natural law is based on practical reason of beings. This practical reason is
conveys the notion that all beings naturally seek good ends. We are naturally inclined to do good
actions and avoid evil ones. His view is influenced from Christian ... Show more content on

In this assignment, the strengths and weaknesses of the claim that migration creates global

stated before, someone can leave their country of origin to travel elsewhere, making new connections
with people on the way, this does not mean that all connections from their home are lost, they are

Patrick Bateman s Borderline Personality Disorder In...
Based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis, the 2000 movie, American Psycho, is a young but classic film
to horror and gore enthusiast. I chose this film because it is one of the most disturbingly shocking, yet
nonchalant, movies that I ever seen. The main character, Patrick Bateman, is a successful businessman
living in New York City who has a wonderful life. Although he seems perfectly normal, he has a
darker side which he hides from his close friends and family. This darker side is, in part, a result of his
borderline personality disorder.
The presence of Patrick s borderline personality disorder was never openly discussed in the film,
although many of the traits were clearly displayed through Patrick s words and actions. To support

In the film, there is a scene where Patrick and a coworker go into a stall and snort cocaine while at a

character.

Animal Welfare ( Dairy Cattle ) Code Of Welfare Essay
Animal Welfare (Dairy Cattle) Code of Welfare 2014 Overview This code gives animal owner and the
person in charge of the animals guidelines of minimum standard of care and management taken when
caring for dairy cows in New Zealand. The code of welfare for dairy cows would be especially
important as the dairy industry is becoming increasingly important in New Zealand, the high demand
in dairy product would mean more farmers would have to provide adequate care and welfare for the
ever increasing dairy cows produced. This code gives the owner or the person in charge of the animals
a list of 6 minimum standards to follow whilst managing dairy cows, the minimum standards listed
includes the stockmanship, the physical environment, health, and husbandry practices. The owner or
person in charge of the cattle must follow the minimum requirements, the failure to comply to the
minimum standards may be used as evidence to prosecute under the Animal Welfare Act (1999).
Positive Attributes The code of welfare for dairy cows at part 4.4 states that cow and calves must be
able to lie down and rest for a sufficient amount of time per day to meet their behavioural needs
(Placeholder1). This is proven to an important aspect while managing dairy cows as providing an open
paddock for the cows to lie down and rest would increase the cows well being and comfort as well as
increasing production (D. B. Haley, J. Rushen, A. M. de Passillé, 2000), as opposed to cows being
housed in tie stalls

associated to nature. The poems themselves are described with apostrophe which addresses many of
their abstract ideas regarding the nature around them and also described with rich words such as,
pastoral, sublime, sylvan, and sprightly.
I also learned that Romanticists had a fondness for writing and emphasizing the feelings of living
things, particularly animals. In the poem To a Mouse , the author expresses deep care and concern for
a mouse who is left for dead, whose house is destroyed, and left to starve. The speaker responds to this
by rescuing, feeding, and providing shelter for the poor mouse. This alone shows great care for an
animal, even though it s usually considered a pest among others. Another example of fascination of an
animal is in the poem The Tyger , where our speaker describes in wonder and majesty a fierce and
frightening tiger. He presents it in the sense of seeing this animal as nearly god like by wondering how
it came with such balanced form and such herculean strength. ... Show more content on

charm and character. Also, symbolism began to be used more often in poems in unique ways that

First, Pruss asserts that abortion is wrong because killing a fetus is human. According to his article, the

right to live. Moreover, a human fetus is simply of a human being at an earlier stage in development

applies to all human life.

Argumentative Essay On Honey Bees
Bees, commonly referred to as a nuisance, actually play an important role in the world, bees may seem
like just another bottom of a food chain useless Anthophila on planet Earth, but they play a vital part
in the food system that keeps us alive. Honey Bees are natural pollinators, and pollinate 30% of our
crops. Unfortunately Bees are dying off in Large colonies at a time,This is called Bee Colony collapse

Monsanto, being the largest producer of genetically engineered (GE) seeds on the planet; also create

The Decolonization Process After The Second World War
29. The decolonization process after the Second World War resulted in the end of British hegemony in
the Indian Ocean. The subsequent Cold War which ensued was again marked by superpower rivalry in
the region, enhancing the region s global strategic value. When this period came to an end, the littoral
countries of the IOR to a certain extent rediscovered some of the economic, social and cultural facets
that made the ocean the bridge between Africa, Asia and Australia . However, regional cooperation
coordination is still a far reality which is a dire necessity for overall development in the region. In the
21st century the Indian Ocean security has evolved to be multifaceted and dynamic. The emerging
threats and challenges which are typically common to the entire region, range across a wide spectrum
with transnational maritime crimes such as piracy, illegal immigration, human trafficking, smuggling
and illegal unregulated and unreported (IUU) fishing activities at one end to the more serious
challenges of natural disasters, climate change and even interstate maritime disputes erupting into
fully fledged confrontations at the other end . The word Maritime Security deals with the prevention of
illicit activities in the maritime domain . In the previous chapter we have been acquainted with the
geostrategic and economic importance of the region which has resulted in the shift of world s interest
to this part of the maritime province.

Immanuel Kant s Moral Philosophy
Introduction:
What is moral philosophy? Moral philosophy refers to the branch of philosophy concerned with
ethics, in other words, What actions are right or wrong in particular circumstances? . Although there
are two apparent options to choose from (the right one, and the wrong one), morals and ethics are
more complicated than what we perceive it to be at first glance. For example, who decides which of
the two is the more morally correct option? What one perceives to be the right option, may be an
incorrect option to another person. So which person is morally correct? We can now clearly see how
subjective morals and ethics can be. Although you may now come to the conclusion that there is no
right option, and that the morally correct option is simply an opinion, various renowned philosophers
have set out on a mission to identify the best method to determine the most morally correct action.
Who was Immanuel Kant?
Immanuel Kant (1724 1804) is one of the most influential philosophers, renowned for his contribution
to various branches of philosophy, including metaphysics, epistemology, aesthetics, and ethics.
In relation to the most morally correct philosophy, Kant was a vigorous advocate of deontology. He
was a firm believer that reason (rational thinking) is the source of morality, that is, our actions should
not be influenced by emotions (particularly happiness), but purely based off duty and obligations.
To solidify his judgement of what he perceives to be the

Negative Consequences Of The Dust Bowl
I ve seen very often that some people seem to think their actions won t have any negative
consequences, or effect on anything around them. This can lead them to make decisions that have can
create major consequences for others and themselves, all for personal gain. This idea was widely acted
upon in the 1920 s, where so many people had not known that their actions would lead to, creating
The Great Depression. One of the more important Consequences was called the Dust Bowl. The Dust
Bowl was an event caused by the rise of farming in the 1920 s, which continues to affect the way we
grow our crops to this very day. The Dust Bowl was known as a large section of the US that was
covered in a large amount of powerful dust storms, which was caused by over excessive farming
during the 1920 s. Like many things during the time period, farming had started to become more and
more profitable. In fact, farming had been getting more profitable since WW1. However, this caused
people to become greedy. People would farm more and more land each year, in an effort to produce
better results. Farmers plowed away at field after field, unaware that anything negative would occur
from it. As said in the article The Dust Bowl on USHistory.com, What was unknown to these early

United States Six Economic Social Classes
Society is set up into a hierarchical triangle that essentially determines social class. A social class is
any person or group of people with the same educational, social or economical status. Social class can
be broken down into many different categories such as race, age, gender, economic status, educational
status and many more. Social class can be measured in many different ways such as financial status,
family values, appearance, and demeanor. In America there are six main economical social classes
which are the: Very poor, Poor, Working class, Middle class, Upper middle class, and the ruling class.
The very poor class contains all citizens that have a very low economic status. Most have no economic
security, are unemployed, and have no education after high school. American citizens in this class
have just enough money to survive. The poor class includes any American citizen who does not have
enough money to have basic necessities. The working class includes American citizens who have
enough to provide basic needs for their family. They do not have some of the simple luxuries; if they
do; they have to save up to buy it. In the middle class, most citizens go to college. People in the
middle class do not necessarily live paycheck to paycheck, but have enough money to spend on
leisure. The next social class in America is the upper middle class, whose citizens mainly attend
private or charter schools. ( Hancock, 1998). They hold professions such as doctors and

numerous amount of people roaming the streets. This issue has been affecting the city of Anaheim for
many years and now it s reaching a boiling point. Within the next couple years, the new hotel
construction plans near Disneyland are scheduled to be built. The new hotels will impact an already
crowded area and increase the traffic. The main reason for the new hotels is to attract more tourists,
ultimately gaining profit off of them. The city of Anaheim should not allow new hotels near
Disneyland to be built. Instead, they can utilize the newly built transportation center to gain profit
from the tourist. In the article Disneyland area getting 14 new hotels, Sarah Tully discusses the
reasons for the new hotels. The construction plans show that the hotels are being placed within 3 miles
from Disneyland to remain in close to the tourism center near Disney. Mostly all are being place along
Harbor Boulevard and are within a couple 100 feet from each other. Also, the hotels are going to be
replacing empty lots, park lots, restaurants, and inns. The reason why Anaheim is allowing the

Q.2 what is the relationship between sustainability and anthropogenic climate change, and how can an
understanding of these linkages be used to guide policy from the global to the local scale?
Ans. Sustainability is promoting social, economic growth with preserving the environment, whereas
the Anthropogenic Climate change is influencing natural and human living conditions. With an

Schneider and Blumhorst are witnesses who are present at the signing. Because Rike cannot read or
write, they swear that the mark made in place of her signature, is hers. (L149)
*Friederike does not mention Johann s 3 month service in the army prior to his enlistment for 3 years
in the 2nd Artillery Missouri Volunteers because it is not pertinent to this application. No pension was
granted for those who signed up for a 3 month duty.
**Friederike cannot read or write. This may help to explain why many of the dates she provides are
incorrect. John Voss died in 1873, not 1872, and she and Henry Ruesse married in 1874, not 1873. Her
daughter, Elizabeth, is born in 1865, not 1868. Her son, George, is born not in 1872, but in 1871.
Nevertheless, the documentation is accepted by the United States government and she is granted a
widow s pension. For the past 18 years, Joseph Kello has lived as a wanted man living the under the
alias of Charles Lorne. On June 27, 1890, the U.S. Congress passes an act that has a profound effect
on his life. It extends forgiveness to those who deserted from the army either during the Civil War or

  • 2. The Importance Of Leniency On Permit Requirements Leniency on Permit Requirements Then, FWC s permit requirements are lenient on agriculture, silviculture, and in the 10 or Fewer On Site permit. Agricultural activities such as tilling, planting, harvesting, and roller chopping do not require a permit even if there are gopher tortoise burrows in the area ( Gopher Tortoise Permitting Guidelines , 2017). The same guidelines are applicable for silviculture, even though silviculture activities have the possibility of degrading the habitat type tortoises require. The 10 or Fewer On Site permit is forgiving for what is considered suitable habitat left on site. Suitable habitat on site is defined as set aside areas that are not disturbed by construction activities and provides a safe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Relocating wildlife can cause stress (and thus compromise their immune system), expose them to an area where they have no experience, expose them up to territory disputes, expose them to the risk that recipient sites may not be completely suitable, and spread disease ( Relocating Wildlife , n.d.). Although RRT [Relocation, Repatriation, and Translocation] programs may work under certain circumstances, they should not be used unless all parties involved are prepared to make the necessary commitment (Dodd and Seigel, 1991, p. 347). If relocations are going to be a primary conservation effort for the gopher tortoise, then increasing research on relocated gopher tortoise populations must be a priority. Overall, the FWC s management goal is to increase the gopher tortoise population. So, information on the long term welfare of the relocated populations is imperative. The downsides to the long term data collection and research required is the resources needed. Lack of Research and Data Next, inadequate data is a hinderance to the proper management of the gopher tortoise. The management plan estimates that Florida s current gopher tortoise habitat is 3.3 million acres, with an estimated 785,000 gopher tortoises ( Gopher Tortoise Management Plan , 2012). However, the data presented in the 2012 Gopher Tortoise Management Plan was calculated from GIS data that was collected in 2003. This is problematic considering that ... Anatomy Of The Bacterial Spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi Inner Membrane Protein BB0173 Christina Small1, Manuel Bano2, Ismael Mingarro2 and Maria Esteve Gassent1 1Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical sciences, Texas A M University, College Station TX. 2 Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Biology, University of Valencia, Burjassot, Valencia, Spain. ABSTRACT The bacterial spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi is the causative agent of the most commonly reported arthropod borne illness in the United States, Lyme disease. Select proteins produced by B. burgdorferi contain the von Willebrand Factor A (VWFA) domain, which is responsible for cell adhesion via interaction with the extracelluar matrix (ECM), glycoproteins, and metalloproteases. Such interactions are often an integral part of the infection process and may be especially important for B. burgdorferi, which relies on environmental changes in both the vector and host to colonize, transmit, and infect. BB0173, a VWFA domain containing protein, has been evaluated based on topology and adherence to human ECM proteins and integrins, to evaluate its role during the infection process. The confirmation of protein localization was performed by cloning the each of the three BB0173 transmembrane domains upstream of the luminal P2 domain of the integral membrane protein leader peptidase found in Escherichia coli. Gene expression was investigated via immunoblot assays using lysates from B. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 7 Eleven has recently introduced a variety of healthy snack and food options to meet the demand of a healthy lifestyle. The change that was discussed in Assignment #1 was the creation of the fresh preparation kitchen and food service for the Classic Crispy Chicken Program. 7 Eleven had done this so they can be seen as a place where individuals can find the products they love and also be the place where they can receive a delicious meal at a reasonable cost. As mentioned in the first paper the images of change that are used at 7 Eleven were navigator and director. • 16. Montague And Juliet In William Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet Blame, assigning the responsibility for a fault or wrong. A play about two star crossed lovers leaves their tragic ending to the question of, who is responsible? Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, explores the many possibilities of who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. Through his use of characterization and conflict, Shakespeare proves that families should carry the blame as a whole. Illustrating how the Capulets parent their child compared to the Montague techniques is one of many ways Shakespeare shows the role of family in blame. Juliet and her parents had been discussing an arranged marriage between Juliet and County Paris. Unfortunately, Romeo has already married Juliet so she is unable to follow her parents wishes. Juliet attempts to express her desire to not marry Paris when her father becomes enraged and says, But, an you will not wed, I ll pardon you. Graze where you will, you shall not house with me, (3.4.215 216). The Capulets are remarkably strict parents and expect their daughter to abide by them at all times. The threat to disown her if she doesn t marry the man picked for her makes this very clear. Before Juliet met Romeo she did what was asked of her, however, when Romeo was in the picture he gave her a taste of what she had been restricted from. Nevertheless, the sense of rebellion had drawn Juliet to Romeo. Consequently, the desire for this new feeling led Juliet to make drastic decisions without thinking. ... INTRODUCTION On 8th August, 1945, shortly after the end of World War II in May of 1945, the Allied governments entered into a joint agreement establishing the International Military Tribunal for the purpose of trying those responsible for the war atrocities. Whereas some 5,000 Nazi s were charged with war crimes, the Nuremberg trials were designed specifically to prosecute high ranking Nazi officials with whom the authority for the commission of heinous atrocities rested. The Nuremberg Trials would therefore be marked in history as one of its kind. Prior to its formation, war crimes were limited to the military courts of the individual countries and for the very first time the Nuremberg Trials would mark the inception of the concept of collective guilt as a justification for punishment. The four counts of indictment were: Conspiracy to commit crimes alleged in other counts, crimes against peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity. This paper seeks to canvass the legacy of the Nuremberg Trial; the legal justifications and procedural innovations that were once controversial and which through the turn of the century have now come to be regarded as a milestone towards the application of principles of international law, establishment of a permanent international criminal court enshrined under the Rome Statute and setting new precedents for the international community. Generally, most student athletes solely hang out with their teammates of the sport they play. The most effective way to solve this problem is by putting student athletes in a position to feel unified with the rest of the university through activities that form and strengthen relationships, student clubs and organizations, and groups that encourage growth in Christ. As soon as we are born we are taught what our cultural knowledge is; what our norms and values are, as well as cultural construction and world view. Everyday we experience and encounter phenomenons that are part of our culture; without realizing it. Before taking this class, I often thought that our advanced society was the standard to which to measure all other societies from, but after reviewing the material in this course, it is impossible to make such a comparison. Many of the people in a culture similar to the U.S. would probably find most of the cultures we have studied to be slow strange or undesirable. In fact, it seems that many of the societies actually prefer to live the way they do and they accept it as normal. Normal is a relative term, and it is difficult to establish evidence to label a culture or its characteristics as abnormal. What may seem to work here in the U.S. often would be disastrous to other cultures. St. Thomas Aquinas is a widely renowned Christian theologian and philosopher, as well as an important doctor of the Church. Because of his deeply rooted Catholic faith, Aquinas reasoning is based heavily on Church doctrine and scripture. However, he is also known for his study of Aristotle, whose more practical views he intertwines with Christian teaching. For Aquinas, the idea of suicide is an obvious violation of Christian doctrine as well as the worst possible offence against God. Aquinas argument against the idea of lawful suicide is rooted in the rules within his definition of natural law. To Aquinas natural law is based on practical reason of beings. This practical reason is conveys the notion that all beings naturally seek good ends. We are naturally inclined to do good actions and avoid evil ones. His view is influenced from Christian ... This will be done by discovering what counts as migration and how it is valued, how global connections can be both positive and negative, about the concepts of diaspora and translocalism and how important they are when considering both migration and global connections. If they choose to leave the country, or send money back to family in their country of origin, this means that the money will leave its original economy and be positioned within another, affecting the original economy negatively and the new one positively. There are many other types of global connection, as stated before, someone can leave their country of origin to travel elsewhere, making new connections with people on the way, this does not mean that all connections from their home are lost, they are maintained alongside the new connections as they are made. Business connections are global connections that can be viewed as both positive and negative, an example of this can be seen in Raghuram and Hardill s study(1998, cited by Raghuram, 2009,p181) on female entrepreneurs, they interviewed a business woman, who owned a small chain of stores specialising in modern clothing based on more traditional Asian styles. The stores are predominantly based in the Western society, with styles influenced by Asian culture, cloth sourced from China and the finished product being made in India and then shipped to the Western stores, this is a great deal of global connections for one garment, although by some standards, it is small. I chose this film because it is one of the most disturbingly shocking, yet nonchalant, movies that I ever seen. The main character, Patrick Bateman, is a successful businessman living in New York City who has a wonderful life. Although he seems perfectly normal, he has a darker side which he hides from his close friends and family. This darker side is, in part, a result of his borderline personality disorder. The presence of Patrick s borderline personality disorder was never openly discussed in the film, although many of the traits were clearly displayed through Patrick s words and actions. In the film, there is a scene where Patrick and a coworker go into a stall and snort cocaine while at a party. This scene relates to pages 110 and 111 where the text talks about stimulants and their effects on the body. Several scenes in the movie depict Patrick having sexual relations with various women, which can be related back to pages 212 through 215. Animal Welfare ( Dairy Cattle ) Code Of Welfare Essay Animal Welfare (Dairy Cattle) Code of Welfare 2014 Overview This code gives animal owner and the person in charge of the animals guidelines of minimum standard of care and management taken when caring for dairy cows in New Zealand. The code of welfare for dairy cows would be especially important as the dairy industry is becoming increasingly important in New Zealand, the high demand in dairy product would mean more farmers would have to provide adequate care and welfare for the ever increasing dairy cows produced. This code gives the owner or the person in charge of the animals a list of 6 minimum standards to follow whilst managing dairy cows, the minimum standards listed includes the stockmanship, the physical environment, health, and husbandry practices. The owner or person in charge of the cattle must follow the minimum requirements, the failure to comply to the minimum standards may be used as evidence to prosecute under the Animal Welfare Act (1999). Positive Attributes The code of welfare for dairy cows at part 4.4 states that cow and calves must be able to lie down and rest for a sufficient amount of time per day to meet their behavioural needs (Placeholder1). This is proven to an important aspect while managing dairy cows as providing an open paddock for the cows to lie down and rest would increase the cows well being and comfort as well as increasing production (D. These selections of poems are directly focused on the writers views and passions associated to nature. The poems themselves are described with apostrophe which addresses many of their abstract ideas regarding the nature around them and also described with rich words such as, pastoral, sublime, sylvan, and sprightly. I also learned that Romanticists had a fondness for writing and emphasizing the feelings of living things, particularly animals. In the poem To a Mouse , the author expresses deep care and concern for a mouse who is left for dead, whose house is destroyed, and left to starve. The speaker responds to this by rescuing, feeding, and providing shelter for the poor mouse. This alone shows great care for an animal, even though it s usually considered a pest among others. Another example of fascination of an animal is in the poem The Tyger , where our speaker describes in wonder and majesty a fierce and frightening tiger. He presents it in the sense of seeing this animal as nearly god like by wondering how it came with such balanced form and such herculean strength. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 35. Immanuel Kant s Moral Philosophy Introduction: What is moral philosophy? Moral philosophy refers to the branch of philosophy concerned with ethics, in other words, What actions are right or wrong in particular circumstances? . Although there are two apparent options to choose from (the right one, and the wrong one), morals and ethics are more complicated than what we perceive it to be at first glance. For example, who decides which of the two is the more morally correct option? What one perceives to be the right option, may be an incorrect option to another person. So which person is morally correct? We can now clearly see how subjective morals and ethics can be. Although you may now come to the conclusion that there is no right option, and that the morally correct option is simply an opinion, various renowned philosophers have set out on a mission to identify the best method to determine the most morally correct action. Who was Immanuel Kant? Immanuel Kant (1724 1804) is one of the most influential philosophers, renowned for his contribution to various branches of philosophy, including metaphysics, epistemology, aesthetics, and ethics. In relation to the most morally correct philosophy, Kant was a vigorous advocate of deontology. He was a firm believer that reason (rational thinking) is the source of morality, that is, our actions should not be influenced by emotions (particularly happiness), but purely based off duty and obligations.
