7. SOLIDARITY
Solidarity: our readiness to share the joys and
pains of others and help one another as one
people and nation; also, the unity or agreement
of feeling or action, especially among individuals
with a common interest; mutual support within a
group. Also, called Bayanihan.
8. SOLIDARITY
In the early months of 2021, amidst lockdowns,
quarantines and economic crisis due to Covid 19
pandemic, Filipinos initiated the “Community
Pantry” wherein, many people who were also
suffering began to share what they have, (primarily
basic commodities) as a group and an organization,
to those whose situations are worse than theirs. The
goods that they gathered were given to the
community. The people are free to get from the
pantry the goods that they needed provided that
the quantity is enough for them. This movement
was initiated to help one another go through the
crisis

Social Order: our sustained action to build
a society founded on integrity, with due
regard for all, whether poor or rich, weak
or powerful.

After EDSA, we recovered our
democracy as a nation, and peace was
restored. Freed from the grip of the
Marcos dictatorship, key democratic
institutions returned to mainstream
society. Elections were restored and due
process was reinstated as a fundamental
right. The free press prevailed.
According to most basic definitions,
such conditions certainly comprise the
trappings of a state that had taken back
its basic civil liberties.

13. JUSTICE
Justice: the firm conviction that every
member of society must be given what is
due and just in order to live and grow,
without prejudice or discrimination. Also
called Equality.
14. JUSTICE
Example: Republic Act No. 8371 is an act that recognizes,
protects, and promotes the Rights of Indigenous Cultural
communities/Indigenous Peoples. It also created a National
Commission on Indigenous Peoples. This RA gave rights to
indigenous people to claim lands known as their ancestral
domains which cover lands, inland waters, coastal areas, and
natural resources owned and occupied by indigenous people.
Ancestral domains are considered as a community property that
belongs to a specific indigenous tribe and all its generations.

4. Promote Philippine-made products.

1. Be ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
2. Speak words that unite people, not divide them.
3. Be patient with one another’s mistakes and weaknesses.
4. Join communal activities like clean-up drive, planting trees and
mangroves.

1. Keep your life in order, never compromising your integrity.
2. Make people and their welfare your priority.
3. Assist persons who are less privileged and at risk.
4. Follow simple rules and regulations like traffic lights, falling in line, etc.
5. Be respectful to those in authority.
6. Channel all concerns and advocacies to proper persons and offices.
20. How can I uphold justice in society?
1. Show respect to all, without bias or discrimination.
2. Be fair and just in all your dealings with others.
3. Look at issues from all sides before judging and acting.
4. Clarify and discuss in a peaceful manner issues that concern
“injustice”.
5. Always seek for truth and be open to it to avoid biases.
6. Respect the opinions of others without compromising truth.
