Parle Products was established in 1929 in India and launched their first brands, Parle Glucose biscuits and Parle Monaco biscuits. They are now the market leader in India, controlling 35% of the biscuit market and 15% of the confectionery market. In 2012, their flagship Parle-G biscuit brand became the first Indian homegrown FMCG brand to cross Rs. 5,000 crore in retail sales. Parle-G sells over 100 crore packets per month, equivalent to 14,600 crore biscuits annually. Between 2006-2011, Parle saw the highest revenue growth among FMCG companies in India at a CAGR of 32%, despite declines in operating margins
