Abstract This project reviewed the environmental impact study of oil spillage, using the case study of Izombe in Imo State, Nigeria. It critically analysed the effects of oil spillage on marine life, land, ecological effect, and the effect on human health. It further treated the socio-economics of the people and appraised sustainable environment and development which only can be achieve through environmental impact assessment (EIA). The research also involved the use of primary and secondary sources of data collection for methodology. Questionnaires were developed, administered and observations recorded. We found out that oil spillage occurred up to two (2) times yearly at Izombe, thereby reducing the likelihood of any productivity improvement. It was traced mainly due to sabotage of oil installation. We found out that 56.4% of oil spillage was due to sabotage. We recommended increased efforts by the stakeholders in the management of the oil installations. Keywords: Evaluation, Oil spillage, Productivity, Izombe.

Soils and vegetation in three selected communities in Bayelsa state were
investigated for presence of recalcitrant Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
(PAHs) and heavy metals in the soils and edible plant food cultivars. Two of the
communities, Angiama and Oporoma are crude oil impacted areas having had
oil spillage accidents in 2010 and 2008 respectively while Yenagoa a non crude
oil impacted area is used as control.
Oil spillage and gas flaring by the oil industry has devastated the Niger Delta for more than half a century. Oil pollution causes both immediate damage and long-term harm to fish, agricultural lands and the health of the living environment.
The petroleum industry in Nigeria is the largest industry and mean generator of Gross Domestic product (GDP) in the West African Nation. Inspite of the huge financial investment made by the Nigerian government in the oil and gas industry of the economy, it has not resulted in significant benefits for most Nigerians.

oil spill is the release of hydrocarbons specially petroleum to land surface or water bodies. what are the effects of this to human health and environment, and what is the deep water horizon oil disaster
Oil or Crude oil is the remains of antiquated plants and animals, compressed profound within the soil into fluid strings of hydrogen and carbon.
Ancient Greeks gave it the title petroleum, from the Greek "petra" meaning rock, and "oleum" meaning oil. crude oil and petroleum fossil fuels because they are mixtures of hydrocarbons that formed from the remains of animals and plants (diatoms) that lived millions of years ago in a marine environment before the existence of dinosaurs
Over millions of years, the remains of these animals and plants were covered by layers of sand, silt, and rock. Heat and pressure from these layers turned the remains into.
Oil is an ancient fossil fuel that we use to heat our homes, generate electricity, and power large sectors of our economy. But
when oil accidentally spills into the ocean, it can cause big problems. Oil spills can harm sea creatures, ruin a day at the beach, and make seafood unsafe to eat. It takes sound science to clean up the oil, measure the impacts of pollution, and help the ocean recover.
Inhalation of vapor, touching oil slicks and consuming contaminated sea food
Exposure may cause neurological, acute toxic effects, ocular (eye) and also problems of respiratory system.
People living in effected areas showed nausea, throat infections, nose and eye irritations etc along with migraines and headaches.
Ingestion of oil produces in sea food is
dangerous as oil products having
polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
(PAH). These are human carcinogens.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

3. INTRODUCTION:
An oil spills is the release of a liquid petroleum
hydrocarbon into the environment, especially marine
areas, due to human activity, and is a form of
pollution.
Oil spills may be due to releases of crude oil from
tankers, offshore platforms, drilling rigs & wells,
etc.
Heavier fuels used by large ships such as bunker
fuel, or the spill of any oily refuse or waste oil.
4. EFFECTS OF OIL SPILLS ON PLANET
EARTH:
THE EFFECT OF OIL ON WILD LIFE:
Poisoning of wild life higher up the flood chain if they eat
large amounts of other organisms that have taken oil into
their tissues.
Damage to the airways & lungs of marine mammals and
turtles, congestion , emphysema and even death by breathing
in droplets of oil, oil fumes or gases.
Marine mammals lose body weight when they cannot feed
due to contamination of their environment by oil.
Damage to the insides of animals and birds bodies, for
example by causing ulcers or bleeding in their stomachs if
they ingest the by accident.
5. EFFECTS ON HUMAN LIFE:
The main oil spill effects on human include a variety of
possible health effects, economic impart, as well as
recreational and aesthetic.
The variety of health effects (from minor illness to
serious condition possibly including cancers.
Disturbance of traffic (e.g., marine traffic)-affecting
import-export activities.
6. CLEAN-UP PROCEDURE FOR OIL
SPILLS:
Using oil booms :-
• Oil booms are a very popular
method of controlling oil
spills.
• There are various kinds of oil
booms that have been
designed for various areas
where the oil spillage might
occur , leading to a quite
through oil spill cleanup.
7. Using sorbent :-
• Sorbents means sponges that
are placed on the surface of the
spillage affected area.
• These sorbents suck and absorb
the oil from the surface of the
water leading to an spill
cleanup.
Burning In-situ :-
• In simple terms , this means
burning of the oil on the site
where the spillage has occurred.
• The burning has to be done
quite promptly before the oil
spill can spread to a larger area.
8. Skimimng :-
• As the name suggest, skimming
involves the removal of the oil
spillage with the help of tools
and equipment’s from the
surface of water.
• This because the density of oil
will tends to lighter than the
density of water.
Using hot water and huge
force:-
In these method , huge force of
the hot water is used to push the
oil spilt back into the water.
Then with the help of skimming
tools & equipments , the oil spill
clean-up takes place.
