Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Teaching Approach: The lesson is based on the Communicative approach organized through the
PPP procedure
Materials and resources: audio, picture, class´s book
Pedagogical use of ICT in class: For this lesson I will use the class book to listen to the story and
the student´s book to do some activities.
Seating arrangement: Students will be seating at their tables in groups of four or five
Cooperative work: Cooperative work is achallenging aim at this stage because children of this
age are not used to listening to and accepting other opinions, it is an everyday work.
Possible problems/ difficulties and their possible solutions during the class: This
kindergarten group is a bit noisy and it takes some time to be quiet in silence therefore I think that
listen to the story is going to be challenging. In addition it is difficult to me to develop the activities
with such a short period of time (30 minutes).
Potential problems students may have with the language: They might not understand the
vocabulary or the relationship between the family ‘members therefore I will try to explain these
relationships with examples and pictures.
