Pedagogical use of ICT: no use
Seating arrangement:
During the routine stage students will make a circle.
During the presentation , controlled practice and closure stages Students will be sat
at their tables. Teacher will be stand up a chair conducting the activity.
Cooperative work: Children will work as a class.

Possible problems and possible solutions regarding behaviour: Ss have shown to be
respectful and behave properly. There are one or two students who are constantly getting
up, even with their teacher. The only way to deal is with them is to tell them to sit down,
Potential problems students may have with the language: Students this age
(especially as they have not had any contact with the language before) may experience a
silent period. Therefore, chances are that they refuse to answer to either the Teacher or
the puppet’s questions in English, and prefer doing it in their L1 or simply using their body
language.
T will take that as a signal of comprehension and keep on trying to communicate in the
target language. That is to say, it is ok for children to draw to their mother tongue to
achieve communication, but the teacher should keep on using the target language.
Assessment: What will be assessed and how: I will monitor that Ss enjoy this class.
Routine (5’)
Aim: To get Student’s s’ attention and arrange them to start the lesson. To establish
rapport.
T will enter the room and greet the Ss with a warm “Hello!”
I will ask the children to sit at their tables joining them. I will speak in English, but I will use
my body language and mime to try to arrange them. The last resource I will use is L 1
Transition: Teacher: Hello, children!
Ss (EA): Hole/hello/ (silence)
T: How are you today? Fine?
(T puts her two thumbs up and shows a smile)
Ss (EA): is/fine/ thumbs up/ a smile.
T: That’s great!
(Smiling)
Teacher: Let’s sing the Hello song! Up! Here in the centre

PRESENTATION
Timing: 3/ 4 minutes
Aim: To teach toys a plane, a dinosaur, a ball, a doll
To teach the structure. It’s a ... + toy name
Transition: Ok. Let’s see, here Teddy has some presents from his birthday , look!
(I will take the wrapped toys out of a bag one by one and show them to the children)
Teacher: What is there in the bag Teddy?
Teddy: They are my presents!
(I will play with Teddy and the presents)
I will be showing the children the presents and presenting them. I will present the toys like
this:
Transition: let’s see, this is a plane. Ok, Repeat …
(students are supposed to repeat it’s a plane, anyway I will insist on the structure: It’s a …,
I will also revise the colours, by means of saying: Colour? ……. Some students will
remember the colours and say themit.)

I will repeat the same procedure with the three remaining toys.
As a rounding up of the presentation I will show the toys to the children again and I will
encourage them to tell their names in English.
CONTROLLED PRACTICE:
Timing (5/7 ’ minutes)
Aim: To allow children to practice the toys and the structure: It’s + toy name
Activity 1
Students will be sat around their tables ( the teacher has already said that they work
better this way, they behave more properly)
I will give the students a set of flashcards with the toys printed on them and they will have
to pick one and tell the toy name.
I will be monitoring the activity.
CLOSURE:
Activity 2:
I will give the students a worksheet with several toys and they will have to colour only the
ones we have learnt today. In order to practice the colours they have leant last class I will
dictate.

  • 4. 4 Pedagogical use of ICT: no use Seating arrangement: During the routine stage students will make a circle. During the presentation , controlled practice and closure stages Students will be sat at their tables. Teacher will be stand up a chair conducting the activity. Cooperative work: Children will work as a class.
  • 5. 5 Possible problems and possible solutions regarding behaviour: Ss have shown to be respectful and behave properly. There are one or two students who are constantly getting up, even with their teacher. The only way to deal is with them is to tell them to sit down, Potential problems students may have with the language: Students this age (especially as they have not had any contact with the language before) may experience a silent period. Therefore, chances are that they refuse to answer to either the Teacher or the puppet’s questions in English, and prefer doing it in their L1 or simply using their body language. T will take that as a signal of comprehension and keep on trying to communicate in the target language. That is to say, it is ok for children to draw to their mother tongue to achieve communication, but the teacher should keep on using the target language. Assessment: What will be assessed and how: I will monitor that Ss enjoy this class. Routine (5’) Aim: To get Student’s s’ attention and arrange them to start the lesson. To establish rapport. T will enter the room and greet the Ss with a warm “Hello!” I will ask the children to sit at their tables joining them. I will speak in English, but I will use my body language and mime to try to arrange them. The last resource I will use is L 1 Transition: Teacher: Hello, children! Ss (EA): Hole/hello/ (silence) T: How are you today? Fine? (T puts her two thumbs up and shows a smile) Ss (EA): is/fine/ thumbs up/ a smile. T: That’s great! PRESENTATION Timing: 3/ 4 minutes Aim: To teach toys a plane, a dinosaur, a ball, a doll To teach the structure. It’s a ... + toy name Transition: Ok. Let’s see, here Teddy has some presents from his birthday , look! (I will take the wrapped toys out of a bag one by one and show them to the children) Teacher: What is there in the bag Teddy? Teddy: They are my presents! (I will play with Teddy and the presents) I will be showing the children the presents and presenting them. I will present the toys like this: Transition: let’s see, this is a plane. Ok, Repeat … (students are supposed to repeat it’s a plane, anyway I will insist on the structure: It’s a …, I will also revise the colours, by means of saying: Colour? ……. Some students will remember the colours and say themit.)
  • 7. 7 I will repeat the same procedure with the three remaining toys. As a rounding up of the presentation I will show the toys to the children again and I will encourage them to tell their names in English. CONTROLLED PRACTICE: Timing (5/7 ’ minutes) Aim: To allow children to practice the toys and the structure: It’s + toy name Activity 1 Students will be sat around their tables ( the teacher has already said that they work better this way, they behave more properly) I will give the students a set of flashcards with the toys printed on them and they will have to pick one and tell the toy name. I will be monitoring the activity. CLOSURE: Activity 2: I will give the students a worksheet with several toys and they will have to colour only the ones we have learnt today. In order to practice the colours they have leant last class I will dictate.
