This document summarizes the analysis of stream conditions at various points in a liquefied natural gas plant using the Peng-Robinson-Nishiumi-Arai-Takeuchi equation of state to model phase behavior. Key streams were checked to determine if they were in the vapor or vapor-liquid region. For streams in the vapor-liquid region, the mole fractions of components in the vapor and liquid phases were calculated. The results from the equation of state were compared to values provided in the plant design documents. The summary concludes that the equation of state performed well but that more complex equations may provide improved accuracy.
