• Without a Start Menu, you may be wondering how you'll find
the programs you want to use. The answer to that is the new
and improved Search. Moving your mouse to the right-hand
corners of your screen brings up the Charms bar, and one of
the options is Search. When you click on Search, you're taken
to the screen you see here.
The first thing you see is an alphabetical listing of your apps as
well as other installed programs grouped in logical categories.
As soon as you start typing, Windows searches and displays
many apps, files, or settings.
You can also search your mail, music collection, the Windows
Store (Microsoft's answer to Apple's App Store), and more from
the same screen.
