The Pros And Cons Of Net Neutrality
We all know the Internet, and use it in daily basis like entertainment and work, and many other types
of usage for the Internet, and we use it freely with almost no boundaries that s what s called Net
Neutrality
. The F.C.C. (Federal Communication Commission) is trying to take that freedom away from all users
and consumers in the United States by limiting accessibility, and speed for all type of consumers of
the
Internet by repealing the Net Neutrality which will allow the ISPs (Internet Service Provider) to have
more control over the Internet usage of the consumers. According to the chairman of the F.C.C. Ajit
Pai a former lawyer for Verizon, that repealing Net Neutrality will increase the ISP s profit and
improve the service quality they provide for the consumers. A lot of people showed their disagreement
over the issue, and followed by many disappointment and disapproval of big characters, companies
and websites. While ISPs are regulated right now to treat everyone equally and fairly, Trump s
administration and the F.C.C. s goal is to repeal the Net Neutrality, and give control of the Internet to
the ISPs in the U.S., even though the consumers do not support the repeal and protested against it for
various reasons, but the F.C.C. still want to give the ISPs control of the Internet to increase their
income, and have more privileges over the Internet.
Many people are not aware of what s going to happen after the repeal of Net Neutrality, and

Jefferson And Andrew Jackson
Both Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson believed that they positively influenced the people of the
United States. These two Presidents considered themselves as helping the common interests of the
people, yet had different and similar approaches to running the government and conducting
Presidential tasks. Thomas Jefferson, elected in 1800, had different views on the National Government
and its affairs compared to Jackson (Davidson and Stoff 310). Jefferson believed that the states should
have more power than the Federal Government, essentially supporting a limited central government
(311). Also, in regards to foreign affairs and expansion, Jefferson chose to handle them peacefully
instead of forcefully (315 and 324). Within the country, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words, Jackson believed that the Federal Government should have more power over the state
legislatures, in order to maintain a stable and effective U.S. government for all to see. This difference
is supported by Jackson s arguments against nullification (365). Nullification is the action of a state to
cancel any objectionable federal law (364). The support against nullification means that Jackson did
not believe that the states should be able to object to any federal laws; assering the Federal
Government s dominance over the states. Within this argument, Jackson issued a document known as
the Proclamation to the People of South Carolina (365). This proclamation stated that, even if the state
of South Carolina supported nullification and President Jackson did not, South Carolina could not
threaten to leave the Union. This was named treason in the document. It was released in response to an
attempt by South Carolina to nullify tariffs placed on textiles in 1828 (364). In a final display of
Federal Government power, Jackson passed a law which allowed members of the government to
forcefully collect tariffs if necessary (365). In this situation with South Carolina, it is clear that an irate
President Jackson was keen on showing the country the power of the American Federal Government.
On the other hand, President Jefferson fired government employees as part of his Revolution. Despite

Essay on Voting should be an obligation not a choice
Voting should be an obligation not an option
Living in America gives each person individual freedom. The freedom is yours to express your own
opinion and to vote. Whether or not we choose to exercise these rights is the decision that every
American citizen makes. Participating in our government is the single most important power that we
as Americans have. Whether it is to elect officials or to amend a law, voting is not only a necessity, but
a responsibility. It is frightening how many of us today have closed ourselves off from the so vital
process of learning about candidates for office and making our voting selections based on actual
information (as opposed to sound bites and attack ads) and/or not voting at all.
There are many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Currently, there are 17 states allowing certain elections to be held by mail. As of today, there are 27
states that offer no excuse absentee voting, allowing any registered voter to request an absentee ballot
without requiring that the voter state a reason for his/her desire to vote absentee. (Wendy Underhill)
If you are not going to participate in electing the officials, then you should not have the opportunity or
privilege in criticizing how they do their job. Some people argue that non voters do not vote because
they are happy with the government. This does not seem to be the case. The 1996 National Election
Study showed that nonvoters were less positive than voters.
There are a variety of characteristics between nonvoters and voters. Citizens with a college degree are
more likely to vote than people without a college degree. Older people are also more likely than
younger people to vote. Polls show that young people are more dissatisfied with the government than
older citizens are. Then why don t younger people vote? Some do not vote because they do not know
who to vote for. A quarter of nonvoter s will lie on polls saying that they did vote. If you are going to
be ashamed by not voting and afraid to tell someone why, then you should vote. It is very simple.
Democracy is starting to be weakened by low turnout at the polls. Steps need to be taken to help

New York City Descriptive Essay
As someone walks over the grates in the sidewalk, they can feel the wind rush up from the subway
cars flying through the tunnels. While they continue walking down the street and looking at all the
different people that they pass, they can smell the hotdogs being cooked in the food truck. In the
distance, they hear a siren weaving through the congested narrow streets of this busy city. New York
City is a one of a kind type of place. It is the only place in the world where so many different cultures
and backgrounds are all in one place. Along with the multitudes of different types of people and
cultures, New York City truly is the city that never sleeps. The city that never sleeps, New York City,
is full sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and feels. Sight enables a person to realize what is happening
around them. Humans rely on sight for everything. It keeps them spatially aware, helps them get
places, and entertains them. There are so many interesting and unique sights to be seen in New York
City. As a person approaches New York City, a famous and breathtaking sight is to be seen. The New
York City skyline is an amazing thing to be able to see. In New York City, a person will see a lot of
people. Millions of people are on the island of Manhattan on a daily basis. The amount of information

Simon As A Christ Figure Analysis
The Christ Figure
A Christ figure could be interpreted as an individual that is a manifestation or delegation of Jesus
Christ. It is apparent to distinguish a Christ like human from someone of common characteristics by
their alluring behavior. For instance, one could define this feature using appearance, personality, and
attitude. The Lord of the Flies is a novel that opens up with a plane departing a group of schoolboys
from Britain that had been shot down over a desolate island. Britain had been in the depths of a war
and these school kids go to extreme in means of survival. Initially, the boys relished the idea of not
having any adults with them until they had realized they could not possibly live without them for long.
Simon, one of the schoolboys on the island, was introduced as a spiritual, kind hearted
kid.Acknowledging he possess these components, Simon appears detached from the rest of the boys.
This essay will demonstrate how the novel portrays Simon as a Christ Figure by the way he performs
on the island, such as his seclusion and peaceful nature, his appearance, his actions towards the boys,
and his death.
Simon primarily is isolated from all that is occurring on the island. He portrays himself as one of the
sane boys considering the rest had exposed savage like demeanor from remaining on the island for an
extended amount of time. Simon paused. He looked over his shoulder as Jack had done at the close
ways behind him and glanced swiftly round to confirm

The Nigerian Stock Market and Its Impact on the Economy
CHAPTER ONE
OVERVIEW
Nigeria, like many other African countries, was created from a multi ethnic, socially and culturally
diverse people, situated between the Equator and the tropic of cancer, its climate and vegetation can
afford the growth of many tropical commodities such as cocoa, groundnuts, palm produce and rubber.
Starting from a low technological base after political independence in 1960, the country embarked on
the arduous task of building a state with one identity by integrating the different ethnicities and
transforming the barter economy into financial exchange economy. The country provided
infrastructure and social amenities for a very young population. Over the years, policies were pursued
in order to achieve the goal of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fakiyesi, O.M. in his paper also said that the poor in Nigeria have limited access to savings and credit
facilities, good roads, pipe borne water, innovative technology and low output markets. They are
predominantly in subsistence agriculture and in petty trading, utilising traditional input. This is why
the role of the capital market as agent of growth and development is very important, thus this role has
been subject of concern and has drawn comments from different fora. It is under this background this
study was proposed, to further clarify the symbiotic relationship between the capital market and
economic development.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Economic advancement and allocation of the aggregate investment in an economy for production of
goods and services are too prominent factors in our national development. The importance of capital
market can be ascertained from the increasing emphasis and recognition accorded to investment as
veritable instruments of development by policy makers in Nigeria and the world over.
Capital mobilisation and allocation are very essential if the regular features of poor infrastructural
facilities (i.e. bad roads/poor road networks, lack of electricity, water, indecent accommodation,
inadequate educational institutions, lack of health centres and poor

My Life With My Grandmother
One summer, when I was 11, I lived with my grandma. I was a very adventurous child and my
grandma lives in the very south side of Laredo, so whenever I would go outside, she would make my
older cousin would go with me. To keep me from going toward street, she would tell me that there was
a 1,700 year old creature called The Ripper that would take small children, rip them of their skin, and
eat their remains. Supposedly, it was snake like with faded blue and green scales, arms and legs with
six claws each, full blazing yellow eyes, and a long tail with three rows of four sharp spikes. As you
can tell, my grandma was really graphic and dramatic. In a way, her graphicness worked and kept me
away from the street. She would tell my that if I had ever went to the street and it took me, she would
never be able to get over the anguish she would feel. I was always so curious on where the creature
lived; a house, on the streets, in the drains. My mission was to find out where it lived, and defeat it. I
was really intimidated by it, but I knew that with my strength and confidence, I could do great things.
Such as, defeat the old creature.
One windy Friday night, my grandma said she needed to go to the grocery store to pick up some
materials for dinner. My grandma, like almost all others, can take up to two whole hours at the grocery
store just walking around and trying to make decisions about what to get. Her going to the store was
the perfect opportunity for me to explore. I looked

And Could You Supersize That, Please? Abstract: Fat has been termed the new tobacco by the
Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, because of the high general risk of an individual eventually
becoming obese. For children of the 21st century, obesity is one of the most diseases. There are many
causes/factors that lead to obesity but researchers identify genetics, overeating and a lack of exercise
as three of the major causes. As a result of obesity, children suffer from both immediate and long term
effects on health and well being. The Center of Disease and Control Prevention identifies states that
obese children are at greater risk for bone and joint problems, sleep apnea, and social and

A tool known as BMI (body mass index) is used by medical providers to calculate an individual s
body mass index. It calculated by measuring a child s weight and height and the found value is then
compared to percentiles relative to other children of the same age and sex. For example, if a child
aged anywhere from 2 19 is more than 85% and less than 95% they are considered overweight.
(Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2009). This tool is not a method used to diagnosis
childhood obesity but it s a valuable way to measure the prevalence of obesity worldwide.
Introduction: In 1998 the World Health Organization announced that obesity had become an epidemic
in both adults and children. This epidemic is a major concern in public health yet many countries are
failing to address the issue. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the causes contributing to this
increasing epidemic of childhood obesity. There are many causes that factor into childhood obesity but
I will focus specifically on genetics, overeating, and the lack of exercise. Of the many countries
struggling to combat obesity Japan came up with their own solution. The article titled: Japan Has Cut
Obesity to 3.5% in a Controversial Way That Wouldn t Fly in America reveals how the Japanese
government implemented the metabo law which went into effect in 2008, with the goal of reducing the
country s overweight population by 25% by 2015. The law

Mass Vaccination Essay
Scientific evidence demonstrates that vaccine inoculation can cause complications including disability
and death. What is causing this shift in immune prophylaxis, from the initial goal of eradicating
contagious diseases, to becoming a killer inoculation? Are we still free to defend and decide for our
health, or is there a danger of government actions with mass vaccination mandates?
There is a justified alarming concern on vaccines, not only in the population worldwide, but also in the
medical personnel. The theory stated in some scientific groups, is that vaccines are not only harmful
but also useless. In matter of health issues, science is the only honest filter we can use, looking at the

It allows US data but also international data as for those of Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy
and more, where one can compare the type and brand of vaccines with the side effects. The European
situation is similar to US with the only difference being, that overseas, they are still behind in the
number of vaccines inoculated in the US. Talking about numbers, how many and what type of
inoculations are administered to a baby just from birth to six months of age?
Here are some numbers: since birth through age six years old at least fifteen types of different
vaccines, up to four inoculations for each type are administered to children (Appendix A).
Are all these vaccinations necessary at such an early age? The uncontrolled proliferation of childhood
vaccines with known potential for adverse reactions, is it validated by a serious epidemiological
study? Moreover, why are vaccines excipients containing poisons such as mercury and aluminum or
contamination of human DNA? (Appendix B)
The same conservative poisons are also in foods and water, but in vaccines they are part of the
chemical creating process and this has no excuses, because science knows better about their effects on
the human body (Appendix C). A sharp and persisting rise in children autism diagnose, started
following the introduction, in 1978, of the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella) when also

Chrissie decides to go for a swim. We get a shot from underneath the water with mysterious music
lasting around ten seconds when the musical cue for the shark cuts in. The point of view shot works
really well with the music, as we do not yet know what is in the water. The director keeps us, the
viewers; unaware of what is actually the culprit of these revolting attack. As the film progresses we
learn to associate the music with an imminent shark attack.
The next attack is that of a little boy Alex kintner. There are people playing on the beach and in the
water. Brody (the police chief) is sitting tentatively, watching things intently. He hears screams from a
young girl, but of course they are playful screams. Then we see a man playing fetch the stick with his
dog. We also see a rather large lady go into the water, and finally we meet Alex Kintner. These are all
very likely suspects of the next shark attack. Alex Kintner goes out on his lilo into the water. Then we
get a point of view shot from under the water, but no music. The shark is not yet there. Something is
approaching but we are not sure if we are being teased or not. Meanwhile we see a stick floating in the
water and the man calling out for his dog. This makes us feel uncomfortable as the suspense increases.
Next we see more children splashing and then the film cuts to a point of view shot

Summary Of The Crying Of Lot 49
The mid and late 20th century is marked by the cultural movement known as postmodernism, which
redefined philosophy and literature. Postmodernism challenged the established modernist style of
literature by deconstructing the notion of an objective reality and championing satire, skepticism, and
paranoia. The notion of self determination and one s ability to control their own life is largely
dependent on their ability to actualize their identity: to find meaning in their life. But, any
postmodernist would be skeptical of the idea that one can ever actually find true meaning in a society
filled with superficial and meaningless ideals. One of the preeminent works of postmodern literature,
The Crying of Lot 49, attempts to explore and critique this notion of self determination as it relates to
popular culture and society. Oedipa Maas, a suburban housewife, finds her life unraveling before her
as she discovers a world conspiracy by the underground organization The Trystero to dominate the
mail carrier industry. As Oedipa finds herself more and more isolated, she tries to find self validation
and meaning in her life. In The Crying of Lot 49, Thomas Pynchon critiques the notion of self
determination by asserting that to truly find meaning in life ones must reject mainstream society.
Through the use of satire and the instability of his characters, Pynchon asserts the idea life is
desiccated within the confines of a superficial consumerist society. In The Crying of Lot 49, the

All About France
France is located in the northern hemisphere around 46° N and 2° E in Western Europe. As shown in
the political map of Europe in Figure 1 above, France is bordered by the Bay of Biscay to the west, the
English Channel to the north, the Mediterranean Sea to the south as well as the countries of Spain,
Andorra, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium.
France is the largest country in Western Europe with a total land area of around 213,010 square miles
(551,695 square kilometers). Two thirds of the country is made up of fertile plains with about half of
the land under cultivation.
The physical map in Figure 2 shows that France s major mountain ranges are mostly in the south,
including the Alps, Pyrenees, and Massif Central. Its major rivers are the Seine, Rhine, and RhĂ´ne.
About a quarter of the land area is covered in forests which is a valuable environmental resource.
Cities and Regions of France
France is made up of 27 administrative regions but 5 of these are overseas territories. This leaves 22
regions in mainland France as shown in the map in Figure 3.
Each region has its own regional council, with elected members and local administration. They have

Histone Modification And Its Relation On Schizophrenia Via...
Histone Modification and its relation to Schizophrenia via the BDNF Gene
Histone modifications have a very crucial role when it comes to silencing genes through chromatin
remodeling. Changes in histone modifications can highly disrupt neuronal functions, along with
inhibitions to the gene, BDNF (Brain derived neurotrophic factor), which is crucial for cognition,
learning, memory formation, and vulnerability to social life and experiences. Mutations in this gene
are associated with susceptibility to Schizophrenia. Increased inhibition of this gene has a positive
correlation with methylated CpG sites. Currently, anti depressants keep receptors active. I will try to
develop a method that would perhaps uninhibit the down regulation of BDNF.
Studies on abnormal gene expression in postmortem brain have revealed that histone methylation may
be a viable avenue for early detection for some cases of schizophrenia. Histone acetylation and H3
methylation appear to pave the way for CpG methylation. Recent findings point to a possible
mechanistic link with H3 and H4 methylation. Evidence suggests that the DNA methylation
machinery teams up with histone acetylation and H3 methylation to generate a self propagating cycle
that promotes long term transcriptional repression. Thanks to these discoveries, we might have begun
to resolve the long standing mystery of how CpG methylation patterns are established. I hypothesize
that it is possible to prevent hypermethylation and hyperacetylation

children get older. Internal factors, also known as school factors, these are factors inside the education

Labeling theory is also to deterministic; it says that once you re negatively labeled that s it, you ll fail
this isn t always the case. Some sociologist may argue that even though working class students are
often labeled and streamed into low achieving section, they are far from discouraging students, it often
makes students more likely to want to work hard to prove their teachers wrong. This was proved in
research in which black young girls were streamed into lower ability classes, and were then
determined to do better than they would have if they were labeled as high achievers.
Negative labelling and putting students into different streams or bands can cause some pupils to rebel
against school values. As a response to negative labelling and frustration with low status, pupils may

Anyone Lived In A Pretty How Town Essay
In his poem, anyone lived in a pretty how town, E. E. Cummings describes the life lived by the
average joe, symbolized by protagonist anyone, in the average pretty how town setting. Cummings
asserts that children will be born and raised to all be the same, with no individuality, then grow into
busy adults who cared for anyone not at all, and perhaps one day get married, live their lives, and die,
still with nevers, or an unfulfilled bucket list. It is through the use of repetition, foreshadowing, and
figurative language that Cummings conveys a mood of sad inevitability as he explains how this
lifestyle repeats itself in cycles and how death will come to everyone, all while they live their lives in
a society that might be pretty, but which lacks any real sense of community and individuality.
Cummings uses repetition to point out how life goes on, and how each generation repeats a cycle. For
instance, throughout the poem, Cummings repeats the names ... Show more content on

For instance, Cummings writes that the Women and men (both little and small) who cared for anyone
not at all, sowed their isn t and reaped their same. Both little and small is a metonymy for all people,
which Cummings uses to explain the first problem with the setting, which is how all the people in it
apparently don t care for anyone, except for maybe themselves. Cummings then uses an extended
metaphor to discuss the second problem. Sowed their isn t is a metaphor for the people raising
children, and reaped their same refers to how these children have all been raised to conform to society
so that they all end up the same. So in the end, the setting of Cummings poem is a town that might
look pretty on the surface, but lacks a caring community and stifles creativity with

Anatomy of Criticism Essay example
Anatomy of Criticism Introduction
In his Anatomy of Criticism, Northrop Frye offers a complex theory that aspires to describe a unifying
system for literary criticism. It can be argued, however, that in attempting to delineate such an all
inclusive structure, Frye s system eliminates identity in literature. The present essay takes up this
argument and offers examples of how identity is precluded by Frye s system as outlined in Anatomy
of Criticism. Structure Vs. Identity
In Frye s system, the organizing principles that give literature coherence and structure are derived
from the myths of ancient Greece and the archetypal imagery found in the Bible. In his Third Essay,
Frye suggests that all literature is based on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Frye completely ignores literature that is outside the Western classics; contemporary literature and
literature from the Oriental traditions, for example, remains outside Frye s scheme, and he makes no
margin whatsoever for including such writings in his theory. This rigid, inflexible system doesn t
allow for literature other than works abstracted from Frye s narrow aggregation of central myths, and
the identity of both the writer and any individual work of literature is lost in Frye s structure. The
Identity of the Reader
In addition to excluding the identity of the writer and of works of literature, Frye s literary schema
also ignores the identity of the reader. In his Polemical Introduction to the Anatomy of Criticism, Frye
argues that [literature] is a disinterested use of words: it does not address a reader directly (p4). It is
only criticism, he says, that can speak. We must dispute this, however, for surely the writer means for
his or her work to converse with the reader in some manner. Frye would remove the reader from the
experiencing of literature, but this is impossible, for there is a constant dialogue between a literary
work and one s individual experience of that work. Frye himself would seem to admit this: The
reading of literature should...step out of the talking world of criticism into the private and

In advertisements these people are trying to sell you onto different things. They do everything that
they can to catch your attention. Depending on what they are trying to sell they will include things
relating to it that are easily likeable into the ad to lead you into trying it out. Advertisements are made
to get your attention to it, when you walk past something whether it s in a grocery store or just out and
about you see it and in your mind it clicks that you have seen it and since you ve already seen it
somewhere you re now more likely to try it out. Advertisements can have various positive effects and
various negative effects to it.
In a lot of advertisements people will demonstrate a comparison between their brand and another

motivated by his wife and kids. While interviewing Michael, he didn t shy away from sharing his

became emotional when sharing his long time stressors that began in his early adolescence. In
addition, the moment he described his obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and his triggers, it
became noticeable throughout the interview the types of patterns he created. These patterns included
cleaning and placement of drinks on a coffee table. However, he was humorous and insightful when
he made jokes that revolved around the societal stereotype of an old man and his capabilities. The
interview as a whole undertook different forms of emotions as Strand explained the consequences to
his drug use in his adolescence, overdosing twice, and living on the streets from 15 to 17 years old. All
of which made a big impact on him while growing out of adolescence up to his early 30s. Although
his life began troubled, his quality of life seemed to have improved as he entered his adulthood to late
adulthood years.

What Ifs Cognitive Distortion
I have found that I often fall victim to the What Ifs cognitive distortion; I frequently ruminate on what
could happen or what I could have done differently in a particular situation. I have always been a very
cautious individual and I sometimes obsess over how my decisions impact others and what others
might think of my decisions or behavior. I feel that this has a lot to do with my childhood experiences

Code Napoleon and Declaration of the Rights of Man Comparison
The longest lasting effect of Napoleon Bonaparte s rule over France was his overseeing the
implementation of a series of national laws collectively known as the Civil Code, or Code Napoleon.
Code Napoleon was the successor to the idea s stated in The Declaration of the Rights of Man and
Citizen, While at first, Napoleon generally adhered to the philosophies of the French Revolutionist as
created in The Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen, as time progressed, his absolute power
allowed for corruption at the expense of the French people. Napoleon violated almost every principle

This went directly against the Declaration of Rights law that stated The free communication of ideas
and opinions is one of the most precious of the rights of man. Every citizen may, accordingly, speak,

defined by law He also helped relations achieve positions of power in Europe, ignoring the principles
of the meritocracy which he had earlier instilled.
Possibly the most important article of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen is the first one,
which summarizes all the other articles by demanding equal rights for all citizens. The cry for equal
rights was one of the major demands the Third Estate wanted from the monarchy even at the
beginning of the French Revolution. Early in Napoleons campaign he stated that he supported the
equality of citizens in France, but in 1802 he created the Legion of Honor, a new status in society
which granted members special privileges. The legion was a superior group, similar to nobility, but
Napoleon of course never called it that because he wanted to convince the general public that the idea
of equality was still relevant. The Declaration of the Rights of Man stated that Men are born and
remain free and equal in rights and that social distinctions may be founded only upon the general
good. In this instance Napoleonic Code both lives up to the ideals of, and also fails to live up to the
ideals of its predecessors

The purpose of this experiment is to collect water samples from El Rio Canal. Data such as dissolved
oxygen (DO), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) will be
found. From the results of each group, Streeter Phelps Dissolved Oxygen sag curve will be
constructed. Then, the Streeter Phelps sag curve will be analyzed and the group will increase an
understanding of the limitations and assumptions using this curve. The amount of biodegradable
organic matter and non biodegradable matter found in the water samples will be compared. Ultimate
BOD will be estimated by using the first order method or the 〖BOD〗_t vs.〖BOD〗_(t+1) method.

reputation for focusing on characterization to a greater extent than most superhero comics before
them. Take for example, Iron Man. The character s name was Anthony Stark, but was known as Tony

Greek Gods Vs Roman Gods
Greek and Roman gods and goddesses are often grouped together without any thought of the contrasts
between the two separate ancient deity groups. People see that some of the gods powers or purposes
are similar and suddenly the two different bundles of gods get merged into one. At this point, Zeus, the
main greek god, and Jupiter, the main roman god, are interchangeable. Although, the time periods and
reasons for why the gods were conjured up are completely different. Even the overall natures of the
two groups of gods are contradistinctive. Just because of a few similarities, people have ignored these
contrasting factors between the Greek and Roman gods. Now, of course, the Greek gods and the
Roman gods have some similarities. To begin, Greeks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Greek gods were very individualistic, so in myths where they created a problem, they would
receive the consequence as individuals, not as a group. Additionally, the Greeks, who were very into
the arts, shaped their gods to lean more towards the creative side. Due to this creativity shown in the
gods, they were mostly based on personality traits, such as honor, love, and hate. These personality
traits shaped how the gods acted and even how they looked. According to the Myths and Legends
website, Greek gods and goddess had very beautiful and handsome bodies that were just stunning.
Greek gods were based more off of personality traits which helped in the making of their perfect
physical appearance (Georgia G.). While Greek gods were creative, physically perfect, and
individualistic, Roman gods were the complete opposite. Roman gods were non individualistic,
receiving all their consequences as a group. The Romans shaped their gods to lean more towards
actions, rather than words or creativity. Since the gods were more particular to actions, they were
named after objects and didn t really have a personality or physical being at all. The same Myth and
Legends article described how Roman gods on the other hand were more of a mere illusion. Roman
gods weren t given physical forms and they were represented only in the imagination

I Define The Nature Of Judgmental Essay
As an observer from the east, Chen Cheng had many preconceived values granted by his biography.
Inevitably, these values are recognizable in his portraits of the Timurid world. In five major aspects
did Chen Cheng appear to be judgmental. I define the nature of judgmental as shown by negative, or
occasionally, positive, semantic fields characterized by the usages of adjectives and descriptive
sentences. Every case of being judgmental hints at Chen Cheng s unique background that tells the
readers both about the Confucian tradition of China and about the daily scene of the Timurid society.
Chen Cheng was harsh in criticizing the necessary protocols performed by the ordinary inhabitants.
He wrote:
Every occasion when people meet, [they] do not display any protocol, only bowing slightly and almost
invisibly to each other.... If two haven t met for a while, or when people get to know each other for the
first time, they perform so called advanced protocol, kneeling down one of the legs.... When there is
feast or gathering, ruler and his subjects, males and females, the elderly and the young all sit in a
circular podium without a sense of shame.
Chen Cheng obviously evaluated the Timurid social scene as barbarian and rustic. Even though people
greet each other by some sort of protocol, Chen Cheng naturally disdained it as if there was nothing
carried out. Under the Chinese imperial examination system, the textbook materials were the Four
Books and Five Classics

Ozment And The Lutheran Reformation Essay
Ozment The Lutheran Reformation By: Hanan M. Madbouly
Long before Martin Luther was one of Germany s most famous reformers, Lucas Cranach a painter
from Franconia served sixteen years as a court painter in Wittenberg. Wittenberg turned out to be the
center for the Renaissance; this small town would be where the Renaissance would emerge. As Luther
references it, it became the birthplace of religious pluralism and independent beliefs for freedom that
we tend to hold dear today. By doing so, these two men were attracted to one another for the cause of
reform, on the cultural, domestic, religious, and political fronts.
Cranach had taken up residence in the city in 1505 right around the time Saxon princes seemed to be
redeveloping their townhouses, castles, grounds, and churches. From the very beginning of his work
Cranach presented a new outlook on are for that time. With this status Cranach was able to raise to the
top of his field, very few artists of the time were given the luxuries he receivedfor his role as the new
court painter. Be It Durer of the sixteen century, or Picasso of the twentieth seemed to have created the
many art genres as Cranach did in his lifetime.
Furthermore as a quick painter, and all over businessman, Cranach s works pushed him to the top,
where Durer being his rival. Being a master at his own craft, Cranach did not seem to believe in that

  • 4. The Pros And Cons Of Net Neutrality We all know the Internet, and use it in daily basis like entertainment and work, and many other types of usage for the Internet, and we use it freely with almost no boundaries that s what s called Net Neutrality . The F.C.C. (Federal Communication Commission) is trying to take that freedom away from all users and consumers in the United States by limiting accessibility, and speed for all type of consumers of the Internet by repealing the Net Neutrality which will allow the ISPs (Internet Service Provider) to have more control over the Internet usage of the consumers. According to the chairman of the F.C.C. Ajit Pai a former lawyer for Verizon, that repealing Net Neutrality will increase the ISP s profit and improve the service quality they provide for the consumers. A lot of people showed their disagreement over the issue, and followed by many disappointment and disapproval of big characters, companies and websites. While ISPs are regulated right now to treat everyone equally and fairly, Trump s administration and the F.C.C. s goal is to repeal the Net Neutrality, and give control of the Internet to the ISPs in the U.S., even though the consumers do not support the repeal and protested against it for various reasons, but the F.C.C. still want to give the ISPs control of the Internet to increase their income, and have more privileges over the Internet. • 6. Jefferson And Andrew Jackson Both Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson believed that they positively influenced the people of the United States. These two Presidents considered themselves as helping the common interests of the people, yet had different and similar approaches to running the government and conducting Presidential tasks. Thomas Jefferson, elected in 1800, had different views on the National Government and its affairs compared to Jackson (Davidson and Stoff 310). Jefferson believed that the states should have more power than the Federal Government, essentially supporting a limited central government (311). Also, in regards to foreign affairs and expansion, Jefferson chose to handle them peacefully instead of forcefully (315 and 324). Within the country, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In other words, Jackson believed that the Federal Government should have more power over the state legislatures, in order to maintain a stable and effective U.S. government for all to see. This difference is supported by Jackson s arguments against nullification (365). Nullification is the action of a state to cancel any objectionable federal law (364). The support against nullification means that Jackson did not believe that the states should be able to object to any federal laws; assering the Federal Government s dominance over the states. Within this argument, Jackson issued a document known as the Proclamation to the People of South Carolina (365). This proclamation stated that, even if the state of South Carolina supported nullification and President Jackson did not, South Carolina could not threaten to leave the Union. This was named treason in the document. It was released in response to an attempt by South Carolina to nullify tariffs placed on textiles in 1828 (364). In a final display of Federal Government power, Jackson passed a law which allowed members of the government to forcefully collect tariffs if necessary (365). In this situation with South Carolina, it is clear that an irate President Jackson was keen on showing the country the power of the American Federal Government. On the other hand, President Jefferson fired government employees as part of his Revolution. Despite ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The freedom is yours to express your own opinion and to vote. Whether or not we choose to exercise these rights is the decision that every American citizen makes. Participating in our government is the single most important power that we as Americans have. Whether it is to elect officials or to amend a law, voting is not only a necessity, but a responsibility. It is frightening how many of us today have closed ourselves off from the so vital process of learning about candidates for office and making our voting selections based on actual information (as opposed to sound bites and attack ads) and/or not voting at all. Some people argue that non voters do not vote because they are happy with the government. This does not seem to be the case. The 1996 National Election Study showed that nonvoters were less positive than voters. There are a variety of characteristics between nonvoters and voters. Citizens with a college degree are more likely to vote than people without a college degree. Older people are also more likely than younger people to vote. Polls show that young people are more dissatisfied with the government than older citizens are. Then why don t younger people vote? Some do not vote because they do not know who to vote for. A quarter of nonvoter s will lie on polls saying that they did vote. If you are going to be ashamed by not voting and afraid to tell someone why, then you should vote. It is very simple. It is apparent to distinguish a Christ like human from someone of common characteristics by their alluring behavior. For instance, one could define this feature using appearance, personality, and attitude. The Lord of the Flies is a novel that opens up with a plane departing a group of schoolboys from Britain that had been shot down over a desolate island. Britain had been in the depths of a war and these school kids go to extreme in means of survival. Initially, the boys relished the idea of not having any adults with them until they had realized they could not possibly live without them for long. Simon, one of the schoolboys on the island, was introduced as a spiritual, kind hearted kid.Acknowledging he possess these components, Simon appears detached from the rest of the boys. I was a very adventurous child and my grandma lives in the very south side of Laredo, so whenever I would go outside, she would make my older cousin would go with me. To keep me from going toward street, she would tell me that there was a 1,700 year old creature called The Ripper that would take small children, rip them of their skin, and eat their remains. Supposedly, it was snake like with faded blue and green scales, arms and legs with six claws each, full blazing yellow eyes, and a long tail with three rows of four sharp spikes. As you can tell, my grandma was really graphic and dramatic. In a way, her graphicness worked and kept me away from the street. She would tell my that if I had ever went to the street and it took me, she would never be able to get over the anguish she would feel. I was always so curious on where the creature lived; a house, on the streets, in the drains. My mission was to find out where it lived, and defeat it. I was really intimidated by it, but I knew that with my strength and confidence, I could do great things. Such as, defeat the old creature. One windy Friday night, my grandma said she needed to go to the grocery store to pick up some materials for dinner. This epidemic is a major concern in public health yet many countries are failing to address the issue. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the causes contributing to this increasing epidemic of childhood obesity. • 15. Summary Of The Crying Of Lot 49 The mid and late 20th century is marked by the cultural movement known as postmodernism, which redefined philosophy and literature. Postmodernism challenged the established modernist style of literature by deconstructing the notion of an objective reality and championing satire, skepticism, and paranoia. The notion of self determination and one s ability to control their own life is largely dependent on their ability to actualize their identity: to find meaning in their life. But, any postmodernist would be skeptical of the idea that one can ever actually find true meaning in a society filled with superficial and meaningless ideals. One of the preeminent works of postmodern literature, The Crying of Lot 49, attempts to explore and critique this notion of self determination as it relates to popular culture and society. Oedipa Maas, a suburban housewife, finds her life unraveling before her as she discovers a world conspiracy by the underground organization The Trystero to dominate the mail carrier industry. As Oedipa finds herself more and more isolated, she tries to find self validation and meaning in her life. In The Crying of Lot 49, Thomas Pynchon critiques the notion of self determination by asserting that to truly find meaning in life ones must reject mainstream society. Through the use of satire and the instability of his characters, Pynchon asserts the idea life is desiccated within the confines of a superficial consumerist society. In The Crying of Lot 49, the ... • 18. Histone Modification And Its Relation On Schizophrenia Via... Histone Modification and its relation to Schizophrenia via the BDNF Gene Histone modifications have a very crucial role when it comes to silencing genes through chromatin remodeling. Changes in histone modifications can highly disrupt neuronal functions, along with inhibitions to the gene, BDNF (Brain derived neurotrophic factor), which is crucial for cognition, learning, memory formation, and vulnerability to social life and experiences. Mutations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to Schizophrenia. Increased inhibition of this gene has a positive correlation with methylated CpG sites. Currently, anti depressants keep receptors active. I will try to develop a method that would perhaps uninhibit the down regulation of BDNF. Studies on abnormal gene expression in postmortem brain have revealed that histone methylation may be a viable avenue for early detection for some cases of schizophrenia. Histone acetylation and H3 methylation appear to pave the way for CpG methylation. Recent findings point to a possible mechanistic link with H3 and H4 methylation. Evidence suggests that the DNA methylation machinery teams up with histone acetylation and H3 methylation to generate a self propagating cycle that promotes long term transcriptional repression. Thanks to these discoveries, we might have begun to resolve the long standing mystery of how CpG methylation patterns are established. • 20. Anyone Lived In A Pretty How Town Essay In his poem, anyone lived in a pretty how town, E. E. Cummings asserts that children will be born and raised to all be the same, with no individuality, then grow into busy adults who cared for anyone not at all, and perhaps one day get married, live their lives, and die, still with nevers, or an unfulfilled bucket list. It is through the use of repetition, foreshadowing, and figurative language that Cummings conveys a mood of sad inevitability as he explains how this lifestyle repeats itself in cycles and how death will come to everyone, all while they live their lives in a society that might be pretty, but which lacks any real sense of community and individuality. Cummings uses repetition to point out how life goes on, and how each generation repeats a cycle. For instance, throughout the poem, Cummings repeats the names ... The present essay takes up this argument and offers examples of how identity is precluded by Frye s system as outlined in Anatomy of Criticism. Structure Vs. Frye completely ignores literature that is outside the Western classics; contemporary literature and literature from the Oriental traditions, for example, remains outside Frye s scheme, and he makes no margin whatsoever for including such writings in his theory. The Identity of the Reader In addition to excluding the identity of the writer and of works of literature, Frye s literary schema also ignores the identity of the reader. In his Polemical Introduction to the Anatomy of Criticism, Frye argues that [literature] is a disinterested use of words: it does not address a reader directly (p4). We study security of privacy protection for PWS applications that as hierarchical user profiles. In this paper we can implement the PWS system called UPS that can flexibly create profiles by queries while regarding user definite privacy requirements. Our runtime generalization goals at striking a level between two predictive metrics that evaluate the effectiveness of personalization and the privacy risk of exposing the generalized profile. We implemented this system with greedy algorithms, for runtime profile generalization also provides a runtime prediction mechanism for determining whether personalizing a query is useful. Extensive experiments prove the effectiveness of our system. The experimental results also reveal that Greedy algorithms significantly outperform in terms of effectiveness. Inevitably, these values are recognizable in his portraits of the Timurid world. In five major aspects did Chen Cheng appear to be judgmental. I define the nature of judgmental as shown by negative, or occasionally, positive, semantic fields characterized by the usages of adjectives and descriptive sentences. Every case of being judgmental hints at Chen Cheng s unique background that tells the readers both about the Confucian tradition of China and about the daily scene of the Timurid society. Chen Cheng was harsh in criticizing the necessary protocols performed by the ordinary inhabitants. He wrote: Every occasion when people meet, [they] do not display any protocol, only bowing slightly and almost invisibly to each other.... If two haven t met for a while, or when people get to know each other for the first time, they perform so called advanced protocol, kneeling down one of the legs.... When there is feast or gathering, ruler and his subjects, males and females, the elderly and the young all sit in a circular podium without a sense of shame. Chen Cheng obviously evaluated the Timurid social scene as barbarian and rustic. Even though people greet each other by some sort of protocol, Chen Cheng naturally disdained it as if there was nothing carried out.
