Tolleson, Arizon A Short Story
Thick layers of grey smoke floods the once empty street of Tolleson, Arizona. About 20 eyes are
pressing onto me as if they were a group of 1000. This feeling scares me, but somehow deep down, it
pleases me. I feel as if some sort of key information has been wiped from my memory. As more and
more of the smoke clears, my memory is coming back further and further. These memories haunt me.
They won t reveal what they are. Only the emotions from these memories leak out. Hiding beneath the
smoke is a vast space craft. In a flash of light, the door has been drawn open and dozens of human like
shadows are standing in a straight horizontal line. Only the silence of all these creatures talks to us.
The creature in the middle of the line steps forward ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The landing, smoke, shadows, and worst of all, the button creeps out behind the back of the middle
shadow. Except for one thing. Someone s phone rang. As soon as the phone rang, the aliens froze
everyone in their place. Every muscle in my body was glued together in its place. The shadows of the
spacecraft that once overlaid the aliens had disappeared. Now the aliens faces were being shown clear
as daylight. Their head was three times bigger than body. Their faces had huge bugly eyes about the
size of basketballs accompanied by two nostrils without the nose structure and a mouth with no lips.
The head was about the size of a beach ball. Their skin color was a greenish grey color. The body was
skinny and flat chested with a round belly. Their arms were long and had short stubby legs to go along
with them. Their voices were squeaky and sounded as if it could come from some sort of rodent. No
ears were visible on their body, so I wonder how they can hear. Each alien looked exactly alike with
the same traits in the same areas. Every alien must be a clone. Only the middle alien has different
features. It s head is five times bigger than its body and its eyes are 2 times bigger than the regular
alien eyes. It was much taller, too. It also carried a five foot torch that bursted with powerful energy.
As soon as the phone rang, the everyone froze in their place. Every muscle in my body was glued
together with just the simple wave of the middle alien s wand. The aliens begin to talk among

A Basic Understanding Of How Solar Energy And Solar Panels...
The Spirit Buses operate beginning approximately at 7:00AM to 12:00AM on Monday through
Fridays and from 9:00AM to 5:00PM on Saturdays and Sundays (Transit). According to the Facts and
Questions page found on the Aggie Transportation website, the buses run on diesel fuel, which is
comprised of the fossil fuels that are draining every day. For daily operations, about 2,350 gallons of
diesel fuel is used by these buses, each costing about $65.00 per hour to operate. Yearly, this calculates
consuming 857,750 gallons of diesel fuel as well paying $45,552,000.00 for operation (Transit).
Methods With the approval of the Texas A M Transportation Services, we would perform the
following tasks to determine the best course of action for incorporating solar panels onto the Aggie
Spirit buses. 1. Form a basic understanding of pollution and consummation of fossil fuels caused by
the transportation (the Aggie Spirit Buses) 2. Form a basic understanding of how solar energy and
solar panels work 3. Creating a time table for the project 4. Install the solar panels onto one bus to use
as the test bus 5. Install solar panels onto all of the Aggie Spirit buses 6. Analyze the results of the
project 7. Provide resolutions to potential counter arguments (Included in the Results section) 8. Task
1. Form a basic understanding of pollution and consummation of fossil fuels One of the conflicts that
this project wishes to resolve is the contribution to pollution. Pollution is the term that

Case Study Of Krispy Kreme And Dunkin Donuts
It is an essential to have clear understanding of an organization s purposes to understand how
organization works and its method of working can be improved. Usually, general objectives lead to
clarification of purposes and responsibilities at all level of organizations. Management is the process
of communicating, coordinating and accomplishing action in the pursuit of organization objectives
while managing relationship with stakeholders, technologies and other artifacts, both within as well as
between organizations. (Kinicki, 2012)
Here, I would have used Fayol s Principle as the management approaches. According to Robert
Kreitner (2012), Fayol recognized there was no limit to the principles of management. And, Fayol s
work was one of the primary comprehensive statements of a general management theory. He proposed
that there were six primary functions of management and fourteen principles of management. Based
on his point of view, a manager must attain proper feedback process in order to make necessary
adjustments and must analyze the deviations. There are four management functions; to forecast and
plan, to organize, to command or leading, and to coordinate. As mentioned in task, I chose two similar

Modern Family Vs. Present Family Essay
1950s Family vs. Present Family There is always that one question that has been on everyone s mind,
what does a real family look like? What is a family? What are mothers supposed to do? fathers?
children? What are their gender roles? Well, during the 1950s, there were many families whom
believed that the show I Love Lucy portrayed the perfect family, but that was back in the good old
days . It has been more than 50 years and there are still current shows today that portray a perfect
family, in different ways. The American television series, Modern Family portrays one big perfect
straight, gay, diverse, traditional family. These televisions hit series are informing the audience how a
perfect family is supposed to be but some in a positive way and others in a negative way. Well, the real
answer is that the 1950s were not the good old days . For example, in the television hit series, Modern
Family , episode 2 and 3 season 1, portrays an imagine of what the key is to being a great dad . The
first family (Jay, Gloria and Manny) take a while to respond to this question but towards the end of the
episode Jay says, Sometimes things work out just the way you want. Sometimes they don t. You have
to hang in there. 90% of being a dad is just showing up . The way Jay responds to the question shows
that he is very sympathetic and wants Manny to still view his father, Javier, as the prince he describes
as. Javier was not able to take Manny to Disneyland and let Jay know,

Between Shades Of Gray Essay
The author of book Between shades of gray, is a descendant of Lithuanian refugees and willing to give
voice to innumerable number of people who lost their lives during Stalin s cleansing of the Baltic
Region. It can be referenced that her heritage urged her to author a historical fiction about tragedy of
Lithuanian family. Theme in title of the book is that things are not always black and white as the
author alludes in interviews.Occasionally, things can be ambiguous. In the novel, Kretzsky, a NKVD
officer who is presumed to be cruel to deportees, but from time to time, he is helping them out

For an instance, it is certain that Lina learned a lot of things after the imprisonment in Siberia, but that
did not necessarily lead to change in her internal character. As in the novel, Lina did not inherit all the
generousness from her mother. Elena was so kind to everybody that she shared few food with other
deportees and her children, leaving her barely no food to eat. It was possible to consider that Lina
could take over her personality and be little more tolerant, even in the horrible condition at the camp.
Nevertheless, this book gave me a great impulse with detailed description of life in imprisonment.
This made me think deeply about the ignominious actions took during the World War, as well as those
who lost their lives and their family. Thus, I believe that the author succeeded in making us deliberate
the history and ensure that this kind of evil is never allowed to repeat itself again. Moreover, I could
definitely feel the power of love particularly in those moments when the deportees were struggling to
survive and going through the toughest conflicts. When Elena died, everyone, even the mean old bald
man pleaded for her life and bade farewells filled with love. Though Elena had died eventually, Lina
and Jonas survived the life at the unbelievably freezing camp and that was maybe because of the love

Corruption in the Church nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Chaucer lived in a time dictated by religion

a significant role in fourteenth century England and also in Chaucer amp;#8217;s writing. His ideas of
the Church are first seen in amp;#8220;The Prologue, ; and he uses seven religious persons to show
the influence of the religion in his writing. Although many of his characters appear to portray part of
the corruption in the Church, he does give a small example in which one can conclude that he is

nbsp; The Pardoner and Summoner appear together in amp;#8220;The Prologue. ; They further
illustrate an example of Chaucer amp;#8217;s awareness of a defiled Church. Chaucer provides
humor to his description of the Summoner in that amp;#8220;he amp;#8217;d allow amp;#8211; just

show the Church amp;#8217;s power and majesty over this period in England. If not for him, it could
be concluded that Chaucer had no respect for the Church. However, the Parson allows

According to Berry (2011) s report, the UK government developed the National Employment Savings
Trust (NEST) and automatically enrol workers into pension scheme, which is already leading some
young workers to a long term savings track. Furthermore, Tipper (2014) believes that Generation Y
can resonate with tenable investment approaches if savings sector could build user reliance in
investing by adopting auto enrolment programme. Networking This research proposal uses Delphi
technique to refine the research topic area. It is about forming a group of individuals who are related
to or concerned about the research area to develop a more particular research idea (Saunders et al.,
2006). I explained to three relevant course lecturers that my research idea was involved with helping
young people use financial products to save and plan for their future. And we generated a few specific
ideas, such as: the economic aspects that required young people to start saving; the features that young
people look for in savings projects; roles of governments and savings sector in developing preferable
savings projects. After discussion, I refined my research idea to: what savings projects best appeal to
young people in current economic climate. Literature Review In recent years, savings in pension is

One of the main strengths that help aid Live Oak is simply the city where their brewery is located.
Forbes states that Austin, Texas is the fastest growing city in the nation. Therefore, this growing city it
great for small businesses, such as Live Oak because that means more people are around their
company. This will theoretically increase the number of customers that they have, which means more
profit. Another strength that helps Live Oak is the culture that is associated with Austin. Austin, Texas
likes to be unique in their style and tend to support their local businesses. Therefore, instead of
someone buying a nationwide beer, people in Austin may be more likely to buy Live Oak because the

Food Labeling And Consumer Associations With Health,...
Do you know what is happening with your eggs? According to Food Labeling and Consumer
Associations with Health, Safety, and Environment, as consumers become more increasingly aware of
where and how their food comes from, consumers have demanded for a larger need of labels in their
products. Labels, for the most part, give consumers insight on any given product but have evolved as a
way to mislead consumers into buying their products. This type of misleading information is easily
seen in the egg market; using labels to advertise certain aspects of their products that is considered
true throughout the industry as a whole, the use of double speak in wording regarding labels, the
labeling of certain type of eggs being perceived by consumers ... Show more content on

An increase in the price of eggs due to labels that reinforces a common practice among the whole egg
industry is problematic. Companies are taking advantage of consumers by making it seem that their
product is distinctly different than their competitors by adding a label. This label essentially raises the
price of their product, exploiting the consumers and taking their hard earned money. This system, that
puts costumers at a disadvantage for a profit, can also be seen with vague labeling.
Labels on any food product, including eggs, should be clear for consumers to understand. In many
cases, this is not accurate, companies use terms that are covered in double speak when labeling to
ensure consumers purchase their products. William Lutz defines double speak as a form of
communication that hides information and mislead the receiver of the message. In this case, the
receiver of this message are consumers. The USDA has allowed companies to use double speak in
their labels with terms that do not have a clear meanings and have a meaning that are different from
what consumers believe. For instance, When companies use the term fresh on their labels, it is not
exactly what consumers may believe. The USDA defines the term fresh for poultry as never reaching
twenty six degrees Fahrenheit but never clarifies how many days it has been on display nor when it
was slaughtered. Which means as consumers, the probability of buying a poultry

The Three Men that Escaped Alcatraz
Escaping Alcatraz
After the three men escaped Alcatraz the FBI had a 17 year trial. How did the three men escape
Alcatraz? The three men were John and Clarence Anglin, Frank Morris. There were four men total
involved in the escape. Allen West was the only one that could not get out of his cell through the hole.
How did the three men escaped? Frank used a clay head to put in his bed while escaping so when the
guards looked at his cell they saw his (fake) head. They used spoons to dig a tunnel that took over a
year. The tunnel that they dug brought them to an unused corridor. West could not make it out of his
cell and was left behind. From the service corridor they climbed a ventilation shaft to reach the roof.
Where did the trio end up? The next morning it was discovered that the trio escaped. At first it was
thought that the escapees had been decapitated. Police searched for the escapees on Alcatraz and
Angel Island without success. Remnants of the raft, paddles and a bag containing the Anglins personal
effects were found on Angel Island. According to the FBI, when it was theoretically possible for the 3
inmates to have reached Angel Island, the cold water temperatures and the direction of the oceans
tides made this unlikely. The FBI also said that the plans of the inmates were to steal clothes and a car
once they reached land, Although no car or clothing thefts were reported in the area following the
escape.

Essay on Analysis of Shakespeare s Sonnet 20
Analysis of Shakespeare s Sonnet 20
Sonnet 20 appears to be about an affectionate love that the speaker develops for an unnamed man. He
describes the man as having a woman s face that Nature painted with its own hand. The speaker calls
this admired person his master mistress. He goes on to say that this man has the gentle heart of a
woman but is not inconsistent as is the way with women. He has eyes that are brighter than the eyes of
any women. His eyes are so true and sincere that they light up every object that they look upon. He is
a man of shape and form (and of authority) and all other figures are in his control. Furthermore, he
steals the attention of men and amazes the hearts of women. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Although during the Renaissance, the friendships between men were usually openly affectionate,
Sonnet 20 reveals a homosexual desire that the poet seems to be obsessed with.
The Shakespearean sonnet does not follow the ideal form of an iambic pentameter. Shakespeare plays
with this poem and deliberately stretches each line so that all fourteen lines end with an eleventh
syllable. The feet have been marked and each line is left with an extra syllable at the end. Shakespeare
was well aware of the iambic pentameter in writing his poems. Therefore, each feet is unstressed
stressed. Stressing the last syllable of each sentence shows the significance of that last word and its
meaning. In this case, each word at the end of every line ends in an unstressed syllable. To keep the
model of an iambic pentameter, the short syllables at the end of each line has been omitted. Most feet
follows the iambic form. However, there are few that do not because a poet cannot change the way a
word is normally pronounced. For example, Hast thou is a trochee but quickly preceding it is an
iambic, which, once again, keeps with the traditional form (line 2). The same holds true in this next
example. Mine be appears to be a spondee but that pattern breaks with the next feet of an iambic (line
6).
On the other hand, Sonnet 20 does follow the

Adam Smith Government
In the Wealth of Nations, Adam Smith claims a well governed is a prerequisite for a society to be able
to experience universal opulence wherein even individuals from the lowest socio economic strata are
able to bask in prosperity. However, he goes on to imply that even without government intervention,
the mechanism of the invisible hand would effectively provide for a society. This sets up an immediate
tension as it pertains to the role of a government in managing its economy and social welfare: what
degree of governmental action is optimal? And more importantly, what motivates government policy?
In the realm of international political economy, Smith decries his government for its active role in
colonialism and mercantilism; practices ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As per Smith, it was based on the mistaken notion that the wealth of a society was determined by the
amount of gold in its reserves rather than the value of that gold in terms of production and
consumption. By excluding foreign competition, employers were able to enjoy a greater share of the
market (both domestic and foreign) while laborers endured lower wages and the entirety of society
faced a limited choice in terms of produce, all of which cemented the societal status quo and allowed
for power retention. For governments, who mistakenly thought that international trade was a zero sum
game, mercantilist practice enabled them to feel superior to their trading partners. In this light,
although accumulating wealth was the goal for employers and the government it is imperative that the
underlying reason for this desire be realized. Indeed, the desire for wealth was merely need for the
increase and consolidation of the power of each of these entities. For employers mercantilism allowed
them to maintain a competitive advantage, to accumulate capital and importantly, to continue to
employ labor so that they did not have to become laborers. For the government, mercantilism was a
means of promoting prosperity within borders and asserting their authority towards other nations in
order to remain a contending force in the international community. Whether or not mercantilism itself
was a success does not detract from its intention to increase and consolidate power of those who held

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
In the book Thirteen Reasons Why , Jay Asher shows that the actions that you make can affect others.

a few days before, he goes to Tony s to find another way to listen to them because Hannah said if you

Statistical Quality Control
INTRODUCTION
Have you experienced purchasing a product then discovered that it is defective in some way or does
not function the way it was designed to, or found that a piece of the product is missing or defective. As
consumers, we expect the products we purchase to function as intended. However, producers of
products know that it is not always possible to inspect every product and every aspect of the
production process at all times. The challenge is to design ways to maximize the ability to monitor the
quality of products being produced and eliminate defects. (TQM) addresses organizational quality

The personnel responsible for process selection must be cognizant of the effect of quality
characteristic variances on the quality of the product.
This process, developed by Dr. Taguchi, Robust design, which is based upon loss function, Process
capability analysis, which is an important step for selection of processes for manufacture of the
components and the product, Process capability analysis cannot be completed without ascertaining
that the process is in control. The effect of measurement error should also be taken into consideration.
Emphasis is given to modeling of errors, estimation of error variances, and the effect of measurement
errors on decisions related to quality. After process selection is completed, optimal means for
obtaining the quality characteristics must be determined; the emphasis is on the methodologies used
and the development of objective functions and solution procedures used by various researchers. The
next step in the methodology is process setting, in which the actual process mean is brought as close
as possible to the optimal value determined earlier. Once the process setting is completed,
manufacture of the components can begin. During the entire period of manufacture, the mean and
variance of the process must be kept at their respective target values, which are accomplished, through
process control, using control charts. Design of experiments, can be used in any of the steps

What Is Privacy Or Improper Use Of Privacy
Concerns about privacy emerge when use of cellphones or improper use of social media gets out of
hand. Based on the article by Nancy Spector and Dawn M. Kappel, breach of privacy or
confidentiality against patients are the most egregious errors that nurses can make when posting on
social media (Spector Kappel, 2012). All patient information must be kept confidential because
everyone has the right to be treated with both dignity and respect. Any violation of a patient s privacy
whether intentional or unintentional is a serious act that must be addressed immediately. It does not
only damage the nurse s credibility and relationship with the patient, but also affects the overall
quality of care given. Additionally, nurses and other healthcare professionals may face disciplinary
action, drastic consequences, and/or legal charges once held accountable. I have decided to pick
scenario #3 as my scenario ending. It describes how I went on Facebook during my day off and talked
about the night when I had to work and did not really feel as bad because I personally met the lead
singer Jerod from the concert that I had missed. After taking his photograph, I carelessly posted his
picture on Facebook and Instagram thinking that no one would recognize him in the first place. Not
realizing the consequences of my actions, I would find, in retrospect, that I was sightless of the
possible harm that I m about to inflict on my patient. The dangers of using Facebook and/or other

The Rock Opera Jesus Christ Star
The rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar was written by Tim Rice, then 25 year old lyricist and Andrew
Lloyd Webber, then 21 year old composer. The rock opera portrays the last seven days of the life of
Jesus as it was seen through the Judas eyes. This piece of art is considered as a fairly radical rock
hybrid concerning the final days of the life of Jesus. This was the third musical that had been written
by Webber and Rice. His long fascination with Judas Iscariot made him perceive Judas as a dear friend
of Jesus who was struggling with the consequences of the growing celebrity of Jesus rather than a
craven betrayer of Christ (Evita Music, pg. 16).
Despite this musical finding broad support among the vast liberal Christian churches, the piece was
nonetheless too controversial as to get financial backing that was essential for its stage production.
The lyrics of this musical were particularly clunky and its score normally overwrought. Despite this,
this musical was the turning point of popular cultural representation of Jesus as it consequently made a
powerful statement concerning the celebrity figure in the process.
Thesis statement: The musical, Jesus Christ Superstar is about the suffering as well as the pain that
was caused to an individual by the dehumanizing effect of fame.
Jesus representation in Jesus Christ Superstar was particularly influenced by the Jesus Movement as
well as the hippie culture that emerged in California in the late 60s. This prompted several

The Life of William Carlos Williams Essay
The Life of William Carlos Williams
Nothing whips my blood like verse. These are the famous words of the great poet, William Carlos
Williams. Williams was born on September 17, 1883 in Rutherford, New Jersey. He spent most of his
life in Rutherford, so today he is a local hero. Williams mother was Puerto Rican and almost had pure
Spanish blood. His father was American. As a child, Williams dad was a salesman and was often away
from home. Thus, they didn t see each other very much. When Williams was four, he attended school
in Switzerland and France for three years. Then his family moved back to Rutherford. Williams started
writing poetry at Horace Mann High School, in New York City. His parents loved literature and the
visual arts, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But do you think Williams had no help making himself better at poetry? Actually, Williams had two
other poets help develop him as a writer. One was Ezra Pound. When Williams was in college, Ezra
helped develop Williams s aesthetic imagism. This approach to poetry emphasized concrete ideas over
abstractions. This is one of the key qualities that make William Carlos Williams different from most
other poets. Another way Ezra helped Williams become a great poet is that he brought him to a literary
circle that was run by the poet Hilda Doolittle. Hilda showed Williams that poetry wasn t all about
writing about nature and memories, but just random everyday things. A good example of this is
Williams poem, The Red Wheelbarrow. There s nothing special about a wheelbarrow, but still
Williams can make an interesting poem out of it. Since Williams became a great poet at such an early
age, he had many early successes. His first initial publication was in 1909, and seventeen years after
that he received the Dial Award for excellence in his writing. In 1931 Williams received Guarantor s
Prize for Poetry. After those two awards, William felt he was pretty accomplished and could speak his
opinion. He disliked all the isms of writing, especially people who wrote loosely and carelessly. He
also thought modern American life had no thought to it. For saying this he was loved by many people,

Camp David Accords Essay
Former President Jimmy Carter is frequently referred to as a champion of human rights. While his
presidency is deemed mostly unsuccessful in handling domestic affairs, such as unemployment and a
sharp increase of inflation, Carter is well respected for his attempts to negotiate peace across the
world. One of his better known attempts is the Camp David Accords, in which Carter brought Israeli
Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat together to discuss peace
between the two nations. While most Americans see the Camp David Accords as progress toward
peace, Arab leaders felt the opposite.
In an effort to establish himself and his knowledge with international affairs, Carter immersed himself
in learning about the Middle East and did a tour in 1973 through Israel, Palestine, Egypt, and Syria.
Before the Camp David Accords, the situation between Israel and every other Middle Eastern country
was delicate and heightened by constant guerilla attacks back and forth. While Israel had Western
support, their successive militant governments established settlements along the Jordan River as well
as military occupation throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip pushing Palestinian refugees into
Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and the edge of the Gaza Strip. While occupying Palestinian lands in 1967,
the United Nations issued Resolution 242 calling for Israel to withdrawal from lands acquired by war
and work toward peace as well as settling the refugee problem.

How Did Marilyn Monroe Impact The World
Could you imagine being one of the youngest fashion icons of your generation, willing to stand out so
much that you had a dress sewn to you? Well Marilyn Monroe did (Life. Time Inc). Marilyn Monroe
brought many great ideas of beauty to the 1960 s era. Marilyn Monroe was also a major fashion icon.
An everlasting impact was made in the 1960 s through Marilyn Monroe s life, iconic style and beauty
and she continues to be recognized for it even today.
Marilyn Monroe s story is different than other well known celebrities. She didn t have a perfect
childhood growing up which is one of the many things that helped her grow and become who she was.
Marilyn Monroe had a very unique family situation. Growing up, Marilyn lived with only her mother,
Gladys Baker, for a short time ( About Marilyn Monroe ). Edward Mortenson, the father of Marilyn

she would usually go with peep toe sandals or heels to show off her pedicure (Dove, Laurie L). Most
people think of red swarovski crystal stiletto pumps when they think of Marilyn Monroe s signature
shoe (Indulgy).
Marilyn believed in accessorizing her outfits as much as possible and she did as much as she could.
She loved diamonds and jewelry and would wear them with almost everything, even swimsuits (Dove,

How Do Organic Chemists Use Melting Point To Identify...
Organic chemists use melting points to identify compounds and determine its purity. Two
temperatures that need to be noted are the point at which the first drop of liquid appears from the
substance and the point at which the entire mass of the solid substance turns to liquid. The range
between these two points is the melting point. The melting point is used to determine the purity of a
substance because if the substance is pure then its melting point will be higher. Also, if the substance
is pure then its melting point will be narrower. The melting point will be lower if the substance is
impure. Melting point can be used to identify an unknown compound by mixing it with a known
substance with a known melting point. If it is the correct material

Tarzan swings into a Microgaming casino near you
Tarzan
We ve seen several nursery rhymed themed slots do the rounds on the internet over the last few
months, but nobody envisaged Tarzan coming to the online casino world. Nonetheless, the hero will
be making his way to your screens over the next month or so, as Microgaming launches yet another
easy going slot machine game.
The new Tarzan themed video slot is set to contain more original imagery, based on the tale by Edgar

the other predictable, similarly themed slots on the market. This is a slot which will only features 40

Players should be able to pocket big wins and plenty of them with this feature, then, even if it cannot
be retriggered.
What we do not like
To be honest, although the features are decent, Microgaming haven t broken any new ground with
them. Everything is rather samey, and that is a bit of a problem. The casino software provider has done
an overly good job when it comes to the graphics in the game, so why couldn t they follow it through
with a few new special bonuses? Admittedly, the new Tarzan slot is certainly going to be everybody s
first choice of slot machine game. Microgaming in the midst of unveiling a new line up of cartoony,
child friendly slots, and that is a bit of a worry. With this, and their recently released Dragonz themed
slots out there, you have to wonder if there will be anything for us more serious slot players to enjoy.
Worth playing?
That depends entirely on your point of view. If you are tired of these child friendly graphics, then the
prospect of playing Tarzan isn t going to be very appealing to you. However, if you are up for trying
anything new, and don t mind stacked wilds aplenty, Tarzan could be ideal for your

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Flying Toilets
PeePoo s creator is Anders Wilhelmson, a Swedish architect and professor. It is omni present in
Kenya, Nigeria and Bangladesh as a sanitation business as a substitute for toilets. Peepoo recognises
that merely building toilets is not enough and making people use the toilet is of critical importance. It
is the behaviour intention that diffuses an innovative product. It must be applicable in slums where
sanitation is absent.
Without toilets, people resort to relieving themselves in plastic bags, which they throw as far away
from their home as they can; a phenomenon known as flying toilets. In some areas, flying toilets have
become a public health concern.
Flying toilets are a common problem in urban areas like slums. To provide access to safe and
acceptable toilet system in urban areas with a dense and generally poor population, one has to face the
challenges of the lack of availability of space, willingness to pay and the absence of an institutional
infrastructure. The Peepoo toilet could be an alternative solution. It is a personal, biodegradable toilet
for single use. It can be used either sitting or standing, where and whenever the user wants and it is
easy to carry around.

Within the bag there is a thin inner gauze (26 x 24 cm), and a filling of urea . When the urea comes
into contact with faeces or urine, a breakdown into ammonia and carbonate takes place, driven by
enzymes, which are naturally occurring in faeces. As the urea is broken down, the pH value of the
material increases and hygienisation begins. Organisms, which produce diseases (pathogens) and may
be found in faeces (bacteria, viruses and parasites) are inactivated within 2 to 4 weeks depending on
the surrounding temperature , In the end, when the Peepoo degrades in the soil, the ammonia acts as a

Voltaire
Voltaire s Letters on England is a collection of written documents that Voltaire wrote between 1726
and 1729 on his experiences he had while staying in England. After its publication in French in 1734,
many people of French ethnicity saw it as a bashing of the French government, and even a little bit on
the Catholic religion. Voltaire does seem to be fairly favorable towards the English in his letters,
which is understandable after he was exiled in his homeland of France multiple times. In many cases
Voltaire saw in England what he wished to see in France. In England, Voltaire saw a land with a more
tolerant government, and freedom of religion as compared to France, which he saw as cruel and
oppressive. Voltaire goes into detail, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is one of the many issues brought up in Letters on England that the French took as a slight
towards themselves after the letters were published. I believe that Voltaire was so firm on his belief of
a separation of religion and state because he himself was not a follower of any said religion. Although
Voltaire was not an atheist as many believed him to be. Voltaire did not believe that a person did not
have to be involved in any one religion to believe in God. Voltaire believed in a higher power one
supreme, intelligent being but not in any one particular religion. Although there are aspects of the
Anglicans that Voltaire does seem to disapprove of, he does believe the Anglicans to be more virtuous
than the French Catholics; another insult to the French people. In morals the Anglican clergy are more
virtuous than the French, and this is why....They are not called to the higher positions in the church
until very late in life and at an age when men have no other passion than avarice, when their ambition
has little to feed on. He goes on to talk about how positions in England rewarded for long services in

The Ancient Egyptian Revolution And The Religious Services
For nothing irrational or fabulous or prompted by superstition, as some believe, was embodied in the
religious services, but ideas which either had moral and necessary causes or were not devoid of
historical or physical plausibility (De Iside et Osiride. Plutarch. 8.353e). The Ancient Egyptians
craving for Ma at over Isfet is most prevalent in this perception, with that being said the irrational as
well as the fabulous have no reason to exist in the Egyptians, or any, ordered world, thus allowing the
creation of the essentiality of sensible reasons for events of calamity, such as those of plague and
disease; the calendars of lucky and unlucky days being a primary example of the contradictory effort.
It could be thought that the calendars of lucky and unlucky days are just indicators of pure
superstition, but the Ancient Egyptians did not see it that way, therefore this thought cannot work in
this example. Henceforth, it may be that the Egyptians saw the epagomenal days as outstandingly
wicked since their prominence was that of being called the five days in addition to the year ,
disrupting the order the calendar had of being twelve thirty day months. For the duration of the
epagomenal days, the Ancient Egyptians assumed that time, neheh, remained stagnant and fearing that
djet, best described by J. Assmann as being the unchanging continuation of that which is completed ,
might persist evermore, thus forever upsetting Ma at, unless particular rituals were performed.

Revenge of Medea
Medea was such a different woman and people in her society were afraid of her, including men. As a
result of this, before Jason, she never experienced being in love. When she finally experienced this
type of love she went to no end for Jason. To protect Jason and her love for him she killed the beast
guarding the Golden Fleece, she killed her brother, and she left her home, family and everything she
knew for him. Most women would not have gone that far for love, especially women during her time;
but Medea was not your average woman. All of the things she did for Jason. But start when Jason

she has was her husband but now her husband going to leave her and marry another woman. She had
betrayed her father because of Jason. She did everything for Jason. So she does not have family to
return. This is very emotional because when we feel sad, we just need someone to talk to or someone
who with us to encourage us. But Medea was in another country with different culture and believes.
She said in the country where she from if a man grows tired of the company at home, he can go out,
and find a cure for tediousness. We wives are forced to look to one man only. (pg. 24, line. 30 32). For
her she rather die instead of seeing her husband leaving her and she wants only her husband to her and
no other woman between her and Jason.
This is what Medea said to the woman of Corinth If I can find a way to work revenge on Jason for his
wrongs to me, say nothing. (Pg. 25, line 11 13). She said that because he s the only person she has and
she has no one to help her and no justices to help her. And if Jason leaves her she has no one to return

To fully comprehend the cause and effect of collapse and the factors that play into it, one must first
understand the definition. Collapse is the counterpart of sustainability; if a society creates a non
sustainable way of life then collapse will occur. Sustainability can be defined as the ability to adapt
and progress as a civilization economically, ecologically and socially and thus collapse is the inability
to adapt effectively in these areas (Thiele). Moreover, although a full fledge collapse can be an
extinction of an entire species, unwarranted population displacement, culture and ideology change and
suffering are all indicators of a collapse occurring (Diamond). The phenomenon of having a
civilization completely wiped off the face of the Earth with no signs and influence left in the world to

roots made the soil turn into sand and unable to grow tropical fruits. The trees and the fruit which
grew upon them provided land birds, both a home and a stable food source. Deforestation resulted in a
rapid decrease in the bird population, which was a serious threat to food availability. In addition, fish
were also stripped away from the Polynesian diet as both overfishing occurred, which declined the

Causes Of The Chernobyl Disaster
Have you ever helped someone out when they needed it? What caused the first explosion was that
there was faulty in the reactor. Is there a time you can remember someone had your back when you
didn t expect it? Nobody was alarmed that the explosion had happened and the soviet put many lives
in danger. The cause of Chernobyl is very sad because this should have never happened.
The cause of the explosion was from a faulty reactor in the power plant. The reactor was not stable
when it was in use. Right before the explosion had happened there had been a sudden power surge.
Also, a huge steam pressure increase that leads to a series of multiple explosions. The first explosion
was at 1:24 am. 5 out of the 12 people that were there had died because of the explosions that had
happened. When the explosion was released the makers of the reactor blamed it on Dyatlov because it
was his shift to work. Another thing that happened was that they say dyatlov messed up on a few of
safety precautions. The cooling system was switched off when the explosion had happened. The
turbine water pressure was at 0. The pressure was increasing when it should have been decreasing.
They also were running an experiment when it happened and it was in close down when it happened.
The explosion was equivalent to 10 bombs of Hiroshima. Dyatlov had received a fatal amount of
radiation. Dyatlov was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the cause of the explosion. Although
Dyatlov was sentenced 10 years he got out 18

Short-Term Memory Experience
The class was asked to do experiments on five different people who I know. We were asked to test

  • 2. Tolleson, Arizon A Short Story Thick layers of grey smoke floods the once empty street of Tolleson, Arizona. About 20 eyes are pressing onto me as if they were a group of 1000. This feeling scares me, but somehow deep down, it pleases me. I feel as if some sort of key information has been wiped from my memory. As more and more of the smoke clears, my memory is coming back further and further. These memories haunt me. They won t reveal what they are. Only the emotions from these memories leak out. Hiding beneath the smoke is a vast space craft. In a flash of light, the door has been drawn open and dozens of human like shadows are standing in a straight horizontal line. Only the silence of all these creatures talks to us. The creature in the middle of the line steps forward ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The landing, smoke, shadows, and worst of all, the button creeps out behind the back of the middle shadow. Except for one thing. Someone s phone rang. As soon as the phone rang, the aliens froze everyone in their place. Every muscle in my body was glued together in its place. The shadows of the spacecraft that once overlaid the aliens had disappeared. Now the aliens faces were being shown clear as daylight. Their head was three times bigger than body. Their faces had huge bugly eyes about the size of basketballs accompanied by two nostrils without the nose structure and a mouth with no lips. The head was about the size of a beach ball. Their skin color was a greenish grey color. The body was skinny and flat chested with a round belly. Their arms were long and had short stubby legs to go along with them. Their voices were squeaky and sounded as if it could come from some sort of rodent. No ears were visible on their body, so I wonder how they can hear. Each alien looked exactly alike with the same traits in the same areas. Every alien must be a clone. Only the middle alien has different features. It s head is five times bigger than its body and its eyes are 2 times bigger than the regular alien eyes. It was much taller, too. It also carried a five foot torch that bursted with powerful energy. As soon as the phone rang, the everyone froze in their place. Every muscle in my body was glued together with just the simple wave of the middle alien s wand. The aliens begin to talk among ... • 3. A Basic Understanding Of How Solar Energy And Solar Panels... The Spirit Buses operate beginning approximately at 7:00AM to 12:00AM on Monday through Fridays and from 9:00AM to 5:00PM on Saturdays and Sundays (Transit). According to the Facts and Questions page found on the Aggie Transportation website, the buses run on diesel fuel, which is comprised of the fossil fuels that are draining every day. For daily operations, about 2,350 gallons of diesel fuel is used by these buses, each costing about $65.00 per hour to operate. Yearly, this calculates consuming 857,750 gallons of diesel fuel as well paying $45,552,000.00 for operation (Transit). Methods With the approval of the Texas A M Transportation Services, we would perform the following tasks to determine the best course of action for incorporating solar panels onto the Aggie Spirit buses. 1. Form a basic understanding of pollution and consummation of fossil fuels caused by the transportation (the Aggie Spirit Buses) 2. Form a basic understanding of how solar energy and solar panels work 3. Creating a time table for the project 4. Install the solar panels onto one bus to use as the test bus 5. Install solar panels onto all of the Aggie Spirit buses 6. Analyze the results of the project 7. Provide resolutions to potential counter arguments (Included in the Results section) 8. Task 1. Case Study Of Krispy Kreme And Dunkin Donuts It is an essential to have clear understanding of an organization s purposes to understand how organization works and its method of working can be improved. Usually, general objectives lead to clarification of purposes and responsibilities at all level of organizations. Management is the process of communicating, coordinating and accomplishing action in the pursuit of organization objectives while managing relationship with stakeholders, technologies and other artifacts, both within as well as between organizations. (Kinicki, 2012) Here, I would have used Fayol s Principle as the management approaches. According to Robert Kreitner (2012), Fayol recognized there was no limit to the principles of management. And, Fayol s work was one of the primary comprehensive statements of a general management theory. He proposed that there were six primary functions of management and fourteen principles of management. Based on his point of view, a manager must attain proper feedback process in order to make necessary adjustments and must analyze the deviations. There are four management functions; to forecast and plan, to organize, to command or leading, and to coordinate. As mentioned in task, I chose two similar industries (confectionaries) in United Kingdom, which are Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Modern Family Vs. Present Family Essay 1950s Family vs. Present Family There is always that one question that has been on everyone s mind, what does a real family look like? What is a family? What are mothers supposed to do? fathers? children? What are their gender roles? Well, during the 1950s, there were many families whom believed that the show I Love Lucy portrayed the perfect family, but that was back in the good old days . It has been more than 50 years and there are still current shows today that portray a perfect family, in different ways. The American television series, Modern Family portrays one big perfect straight, gay, diverse, traditional family. These televisions hit series are informing the audience how a perfect family is supposed to be but some in a positive way and others in a negative way. Well, the real answer is that the 1950s were not the good old days . For example, in the television hit series, Modern Family , episode 2 and 3 season 1, portrays an imagine of what the key is to being a great dad . The first family (Jay, Gloria and Manny) take a while to respond to this question but towards the end of the episode Jay says, Sometimes things work out just the way you want. Sometimes they don t. You have to hang in there. 90% of being a dad is just showing up . Between Shades Of Gray Essay The author of book Between shades of gray, is a descendant of Lithuanian refugees and willing to give voice to innumerable number of people who lost their lives during Stalin s cleansing of the Baltic Region. It can be referenced that her heritage urged her to author a historical fiction about tragedy of Lithuanian family. Theme in title of the book is that things are not always black and white as the author alludes in interviews.Occasionally, things can be ambiguous. In the novel, Kretzsky, a NKVD officer who is presumed to be cruel to deportees, but from time to time, he is helping them out indirectly. The author mentions, Through Kretzsky, deportees see a bit of human kindness peeking out between the many shades of gray. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For an instance, it is certain that Lina learned a lot of things after the imprisonment in Siberia, but that did not necessarily lead to change in her internal character. As in the novel, Lina did not inherit all the generousness from her mother. Elena was so kind to everybody that she shared few food with other deportees and her children, leaving her barely no food to eat. It was possible to consider that Lina could take over her personality and be little more tolerant, even in the horrible condition at the camp. Nevertheless, this book gave me a great impulse with detailed description of life in imprisonment. This made me think deeply about the ignominious actions took during the World War, as well as those who lost their lives and their family. Thus, I believe that the author succeeded in making us deliberate the history and ensure that this kind of evil is never allowed to repeat itself again. Moreover, I could definitely feel the power of love particularly in those moments when the deportees were struggling to survive and going through the toughest conflicts. When Elena died, everyone, even the mean old bald man pleaded for her life and bade farewells filled with love. Though Elena had died eventually, Lina and Jonas survived the life at the unbelievably freezing camp and that was maybe because of the love Elena gave and strengths they got from ... • 7. Canterbury Tales Essay Corruption in the Church nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Chaucer lived in a time dictated by religion and religious ideas in which he uses The Canterbury Tales to show some of his views. Religion played a significant role in fourteenth century England and also in Chaucer amp;#8217;s writing. His ideas of the Church are first seen in amp;#8220;The Prologue, ; and he uses seven religious persons to show the influence of the religion in his writing. Although many of his characters appear to portray part of the corruption in the Church, he does give a small example in which one can conclude that he is speaking in praise. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; The Friar, who lived off begging, appears to live a lowly existence, while Chaucer refers to ... The Monk is a lazy, disgusting man who lived a dishonest and imprudent life. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; The Pardoner and Summoner appear together in amp;#8220;The Prologue. ; They further illustrate an example of Chaucer amp;#8217;s awareness of a defiled Church. Chaucer provides humor to his description of the Summoner in that amp;#8220;he amp;#8217;d allow amp;#8211; just for a quart of wine /Any good lad to keep a concubine ; (Chaucer 20.) This means that a person who disobeys the Church without seeking repentance can easily bribe the Summoner, in that he will overlook the situation. Chaucer writes about the Pardoner that amp;#8220;by his flatteries and prevarication/ Made monkey of the priest and congregation ; (Chaucer 22.) This is another direct insult to the Church at the time. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Although the Pardoner represents the lowly side of the Church, Chaucer balances it out with a highly appraise of the Parson. He appears into the prologue before the Pardoner and the Summoner, and he clearly is a perfect illustration of the Church, which should be followed over the other corrupt religious men. Chaucer uses the Parson to show the Church amp;#8217;s power and majesty over this period in England. If not for him, it could be concluded that Chaucer had no respect for the Church. According to Food Labeling and Consumer Associations with Health, Safety, and Environment, as consumers become more increasingly aware of where and how their food comes from, consumers have demanded for a larger need of labels in their products. Labels, for the most part, give consumers insight on any given product but have evolved as a way to mislead consumers into buying their products. This type of misleading information is easily seen in the egg market; using labels to advertise certain aspects of their products that is considered true throughout the industry as a whole, the use of double speak in wording regarding labels, the labeling of certain type of eggs being perceived by consumers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An increase in the price of eggs due to labels that reinforces a common practice among the whole egg industry is problematic. Companies are taking advantage of consumers by making it seem that their product is distinctly different than their competitors by adding a label. This label essentially raises the price of their product, exploiting the consumers and taking their hard earned money. This system, that puts costumers at a disadvantage for a profit, can also be seen with vague labeling. Labels on any food product, including eggs, should be clear for consumers to understand. In many cases, this is not accurate, companies use terms that are covered in double speak when labeling to ensure consumers purchase their products. William Lutz defines double speak as a form of communication that hides information and mislead the receiver of the message. In this case, the receiver of this message are consumers. The USDA has allowed companies to use double speak in their labels with terms that do not have a clear meanings and have a meaning that are different from what consumers believe. For instance, When companies use the term fresh on their labels, it is not exactly what consumers may believe. The USDA defines the term fresh for poultry as never reaching twenty six degrees Fahrenheit but never clarifies how many days it has been on display nor when it was slaughtered. The three men were John and Clarence Anglin, Frank Morris. There were four men total involved in the escape. Allen West was the only one that could not get out of his cell through the hole. How did the three men escaped? Frank used a clay head to put in his bed while escaping so when the guards looked at his cell they saw his (fake) head. They used spoons to dig a tunnel that took over a year. The tunnel that they dug brought them to an unused corridor. West could not make it out of his cell and was left behind. From the service corridor they climbed a ventilation shaft to reach the roof. Where did the trio end up? The next morning it was discovered that the trio escaped. At first it was thought that the escapees had been decapitated. Police searched for the escapees on Alcatraz and Angel Island without success. Remnants of the raft, paddles and a bag containing the Anglins personal effects were found on Angel Island. According to the FBI, when it was theoretically possible for the 3 inmates to have reached Angel Island, the cold water temperatures and the direction of the oceans tides made this unlikely. The FBI also said that the plans of the inmates were to steal clothes and a car once they reached land, Although no car or clothing thefts were reported in the area following the escape. • 13. Essay on Analysis of Shakespeare s Sonnet 20 Analysis of Shakespeare s Sonnet 20 Sonnet 20 appears to be about an affectionate love that the speaker develops for an unnamed man. He describes the man as having a woman s face that Nature painted with its own hand. The speaker calls this admired person his master mistress. He goes on to say that this man has the gentle heart of a woman but is not inconsistent as is the way with women. He has eyes that are brighter than the eyes of any women. His eyes are so true and sincere that they light up every object that they look upon. He is a man of shape and form (and of authority) and all other figures are in his control. Furthermore, he steals the attention of men and amazes the hearts of women. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although during the Renaissance, the friendships between men were usually openly affectionate, Sonnet 20 reveals a homosexual desire that the poet seems to be obsessed with. The Shakespearean sonnet does not follow the ideal form of an iambic pentameter. Shakespeare plays with this poem and deliberately stretches each line so that all fourteen lines end with an eleventh syllable. The feet have been marked and each line is left with an extra syllable at the end. Shakespeare was well aware of the iambic pentameter in writing his poems. Therefore, each feet is unstressed stressed. Stressing the last syllable of each sentence shows the significance of that last word and its meaning. In this case, each word at the end of every line ends in an unstressed syllable. To keep the model of an iambic pentameter, the short syllables at the end of each line has been omitted. Most feet follows the iambic form. However, there are few that do not because a poet cannot change the way a word is normally pronounced. For example, Hast thou is a trochee but quickly preceding it is an iambic, which, once again, keeps with the traditional form (line 2). The same holds true in this next example. Mine be appears to be a spondee but that pattern breaks with the next feet of an iambic (line 6). On the other hand, Sonnet 20 does follow the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Adam Smith Government In the Wealth of Nations, Adam Smith claims a well governed is a prerequisite for a society to be able to experience universal opulence wherein even individuals from the lowest socio economic strata are able to bask in prosperity. However, he goes on to imply that even without government intervention, the mechanism of the invisible hand would effectively provide for a society. This sets up an immediate tension as it pertains to the role of a government in managing its economy and social welfare: what degree of governmental action is optimal? And more importantly, what motivates government policy? As per Smith, it was based on the mistaken notion that the wealth of a society was determined by the amount of gold in its reserves rather than the value of that gold in terms of production and consumption. By excluding foreign competition, employers were able to enjoy a greater share of the market (both domestic and foreign) while laborers endured lower wages and the entirety of society faced a limited choice in terms of produce, all of which cemented the societal status quo and allowed for power retention. For governments, who mistakenly thought that international trade was a zero sum game, mercantilist practice enabled them to feel superior to their trading partners. In this light, although accumulating wealth was the goal for employers and the government it is imperative that the underlying reason for this desire be realized. Indeed, the desire for wealth was merely need for the increase and consolidation of the power of each of these entities. For employers mercantilism allowed them to maintain a competitive advantage, to accumulate capital and importantly, to continue to employ labor so that they did not have to become laborers. For the government, mercantilism was a means of promoting prosperity within borders and asserting their authority towards other nations in order to remain a contending force in the international community. Based on the article by Nancy Spector and Dawn M. Kappel, breach of privacy or confidentiality against patients are the most egregious errors that nurses can make when posting on social media (Spector Kappel, 2012). All patient information must be kept confidential because everyone has the right to be treated with both dignity and respect. Any violation of a patient s privacy whether intentional or unintentional is a serious act that must be addressed immediately. It does not only damage the nurse s credibility and relationship with the patient, but also affects the overall quality of care given. The rock opera portrays the last seven days of the life of Jesus as it was seen through the Judas eyes. This piece of art is considered as a fairly radical rock hybrid concerning the final days of the life of Jesus. This was the third musical that had been written by Webber and Rice. His long fascination with Judas Iscariot made him perceive Judas as a dear friend of Jesus who was struggling with the consequences of the growing celebrity of Jesus rather than a craven betrayer of Christ (Evita Music, pg. 16). Despite this musical finding broad support among the vast liberal Christian churches, the piece was nonetheless too controversial as to get financial backing that was essential for its stage production. The lyrics of this musical were particularly clunky and its score normally overwrought. Despite this, this musical was the turning point of popular cultural representation of Jesus as it consequently made a powerful statement concerning the celebrity figure in the process. But do you think Williams had no help making himself better at poetry? Actually, Williams had two other poets help develop him as a writer. One was Ezra Pound. When Williams was in college, Ezra helped develop Williams s aesthetic imagism. This approach to poetry emphasized concrete ideas over abstractions. This is one of the key qualities that make William Carlos Williams different from most other poets. Another way Ezra helped Williams become a great poet is that he brought him to a literary circle that was run by the poet Hilda Doolittle. Hilda showed Williams that poetry wasn t all about writing about nature and memories, but just random everyday things. A good example of this is Williams poem, The Red Wheelbarrow. There s nothing special about a wheelbarrow, but still Williams can make an interesting poem out of it. Since Williams became a great poet at such an early age, he had many early successes. His first initial publication was in 1909, and seventeen years after that he received the Dial Award for excellence in his writing. In 1931 Williams received Guarantor s Prize for Poetry. He goes on to talk about how positions in England rewarded for long services in not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. The Ancient Egyptian Revolution And The Religious Services For nothing irrational or fabulous or prompted by superstition, as some believe, was embodied in the religious services, but ideas which either had moral and necessary causes or were not devoid of historical or physical plausibility (De Iside et Osiride. Plutarch. 8.353e). The Ancient Egyptians craving for Ma at over Isfet is most prevalent in this perception, with that being said the irrational as well as the fabulous have no reason to exist in the Egyptians, or any, ordered world, thus allowing the creation of the essentiality of sensible reasons for events of calamity, such as those of plague and disease; the calendars of lucky and unlucky days being a primary example of the contradictory effort. It could be thought that the calendars of lucky and unlucky days are just indicators of pure superstition, but the Ancient Egyptians did not see it that way, therefore this thought cannot work in this example. Henceforth, it may be that the Egyptians saw the epagomenal days as outstandingly wicked since their prominence was that of being called the five days in addition to the year , disrupting the order the calendar had of being twelve thirty day months. For the duration of the epagomenal days, the Ancient Egyptians assumed that time, neheh, remained stagnant and fearing that djet, best described by J. Assmann as being the unchanging continuation of that which is completed , might persist evermore, thus forever upsetting Ma at, unless particular rituals were performed. ... As a result of this, before Jason, she never experienced being in love. When she finally experienced this type of love she went to no end for Jason. To protect Jason and her love for him she killed the beast guarding the Golden Fleece, she killed her brother, and she left her home, family and everything she knew for him. Being a stranger is hard and when your love one betray is harder. She also said to the woman of the Corinth, You have this city, your father s home. I m alone; I have no city; now my husband insults me. (Pg. 25, line. 5 8). She said her family gone and she does not have anyone to lean on. The only person she has was her husband but now her husband going to leave her and marry another woman. She had betrayed her father because of Jason. She did everything for Jason. So she does not have family to return. This is very emotional because when we feel sad, we just need someone to talk to or someone who with us to encourage us. But Medea was in another country with different culture and believes. She said in the country where she from if a man grows tired of the company at home, he can go out, and find a cure for tediousness. We wives are forced to look to one man only. (pg. 24, line. 30 32). For her she rather die instead of seeing her husband leaving her and she wants only her husband to her and no other woman between her and Jason. This is what Medea said to the woman of Corinth If I can find a way to work revenge on Jason for his wrongs to me, say nothing. (Pg. 25, line 11 13). She said that because he s the only person she has and she has no one to help her and no justices to help her. And if Jason leaves her she has no one to return to. It is very easy to agree ... • 32. Life Of The Rapa Nui People Research Paper To fully comprehend the cause and effect of collapse and the factors that play into it, one must first understand the definition. Collapse is the counterpart of sustainability; if a society creates a non sustainable way of life then collapse will occur. Sustainability can be defined as the ability to adapt and progress as a civilization economically, ecologically and socially and thus collapse is the inability to adapt effectively in these areas (Thiele). Moreover, although a full fledge collapse can be an extinction of an entire species, unwarranted population displacement, culture and ideology change and suffering are all indicators of a collapse occurring (Diamond). The phenomenon of having a civilization completely wiped off the face of the Earth with no signs and influence left in the world to be called a true collapse is ambiguous. Declination either gradual or steep, if a civilization has to vastly change their customs and patterns this can be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Entire forests were beginning to vanish as their bark was being used for huts, canoes, harpoons and clothes. The disappearance of trees created a cascading effect in which affected the inhabitants more than they could imagine. Although the soil was not immensely fertile to begin with, the lack of tree roots made the soil turn into sand and unable to grow tropical fruits. The trees and the fruit which grew upon them provided land birds, both a home and a stable food source. Deforestation resulted in a rapid decrease in the bird population, which was a serious threat to food availability. In addition, fish were also stripped away from the Polynesian diet as both overfishing occurred, which declined the population of fish like tuna and the lack of wood in order to make canoes made fishing fleets marginalized. These environmental dangers sparked massive starvation for many of the common ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Causes Of The Chernobyl Disaster Have you ever helped someone out when they needed it? What caused the first explosion was that there was faulty in the reactor. Is there a time you can remember someone had your back when you didn t expect it? Nobody was alarmed that the explosion had happened and the soviet put many lives in danger. The cause of Chernobyl is very sad because this should have never happened. The cause of the explosion was from a faulty reactor in the power plant. The reactor was not stable when it was in use. Right before the explosion had happened there had been a sudden power surge. Also, a huge steam pressure increase that leads to a series of multiple explosions. The first explosion was at 1:24 am. 5 out of the 12 people that were there had died because of the explosions that had happened. When the explosion was released the makers of the reactor blamed it on Dyatlov because it was his shift to work. Another thing that happened was that they say dyatlov messed up on a few of safety precautions. The cooling system was switched off when the explosion had happened. The turbine water pressure was at 0. The pressure was increasing when it should have been decreasing. They also were running an experiment when it happened and it was in close down when it happened. The explosion was equivalent to 10 bombs of Hiroshima. Dyatlov had received a fatal amount of radiation. Dyatlov was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the cause of the explosion. Although Dyatlov was sentenced 10 years he got out 18 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Short-Term Memory Experience The class was asked to do experiments on five different people who I know. We were asked to test their short term memory. I thought it would be easy for my subjects to remember just 10 words. I wanted to see if age or education can change their short term memory outcome. On TV, there is a reality game show Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader , well my son is in the fifth grade. We sat at the kitchen table, I read aloud the words that were on the high value list. Then I asked him to write the words that he could remember me saying. Then an hour later, I did the next set of 10 words from the medium value list, then the low value list of words an hour or so after. With my husband, I did the same thing has I did with my son. We sat at the table ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I asked a friend of mine that has a master s in education and is a principal of a middle school if she could help with this experiment. I wanted to see if having a lot of education would be different than not having it. We couldn t get together in person, but we did do it over Skype. I wanted to make sure that I could watch her and see how she reacted on the 3 sets of words. The first and second set of words we did within an hour and ½ of each other. The last set of words we couldn t do till the following day. With my mom, we had to spread it out within two days. She came to my house on the first day and I read the first and second set of words within 45 minutes of each other. The last set of words, I went to her house thinking that maybe being at a different place more comfortable for her, would change the outcome. The last person I tested is a very close friend of mine. I invited him over for dinner without him knowing that he was a guinea pig in my experiment. I asked him to remember the first set of words and to write down all the words that he could remember before dinner. Then I read aloud the second set of words after dinner. Thinking that maybe having a full belly would change the way your mind works. Then we ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
