Eukaryotic Of Eukaryotic And Eukaryotic Genomes
I. Introduction
Perhaps one of the first lessons one is taught about bacteria is that they constitute the prokaryotic
domain of life, while humans and most other readily visible life forms are firmly rooted in the
eukaryotic domain. These domains diverged many millions of years ago from a common ancestor
and, while the eukaryotic branch later split into eukaryotic and archaeal domains, it maintained its
separation from the prokaryotic domain (Woese et al., 1990). Prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes
are naturally very distinct in both content and structure as a result of eons long separation, and one
tends to classify these domains as very distinct entities.
However, there is increasing evidence of so called eukaryotic bacterial genes, or genes present in
bacterial genomes that have some sort of eukaryotic origin or function. These eukaryotic bacterial
genes are primarily of concern in determining virulence factors of human pathogens. As defined
below, bacterial genes can be evolutionarily or functionally eukaryotic, or both. Presence of either
type of gene would indicate some interaction between bacteria and eukaryotes, the most oft studied
of which are pathogenic interactions. Discovering eukaryotic bacterial genes is particularly
important in pathogens that secrete effectors to be taken up by host eukaryotic cells. These
effectors tend to modulate host cell functions, so there would be some logic in these effectors
being encoded by eukaryotic genes. Most research has been

Holy Grail
The Holy Theatre versus the Holy Grail
Within these ramblings I will put forward, with pond skater like depth, my musings and personal
reflections on the reluctant guru, rebel and acknowledged genius of modern theatre Peter Brook
and his fabled hand grenade of a 60 s essay The Holy Theatre .
The concept of the Holy Theatre comes from Peter Brook s the Empty Space, in which he separates
theatre into four testaments: Deadly, Holy, Rough, and immediate though the lines between said
factions blur, overlap and interplay throughout.
Held by many to be the holy grail of modern theatre texts, almost sacred in many quarters. The
Holy Theatre essay is a way of seeing theatre: creating and attending theatre as if it were a holy rite,
a myth based ritual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

That alchemy has proved transcendently effective over the centuries since the plays were first
written. The bard has a way of saying simple things and for others a simple way of saying
complex things. For Brook, theatre is very much the latter; and, in a late work like Tierno Bokar,
he is seeking, in his own phrase, to go beyond the immediate present. This likewise philosophy
treats theatre less as a product than as a process: a collaborative means of exploring life s mystery.
I can though picture Brook throwing down his manuscript upon its completion, screaming at his
beloved Shakespeare for covering it all within his works, where genius glints from every page and
line with a nonchalant ease. In Brook s concept of theatre, the audience is essential; without it,
nothing happens. The relationship between the actor and the audience is the only theatre reality, he
once told an interviewer
Brook s concepts of the deadly, the holy, the rough, the immediate, the dirty, are amazingly relevant
to more areas of art and thought than just solely theatre. Maybe applicable to life itself when the
layers are peeled

Essay about A Postmodern Bore
A Postmodern Bore
Imagine, if you will, a world where everyone was the same, where your neighbors had the same
clothes as you did, the same kind of dog, and the same color house as you did. A world where
everyone looked like everyone else, behaved the same, and thought the same. A world characterized
by total and complete conformity through assimilation, incorporation, and deindividualization. A
world where an elite cadre of individuals determined the very shape of reality itself. This world is
held by many scholars to be typifying of one of the major aspects of Postmodernism. Although
Postmodernism refuses to define itself , (Kozinets see later,) it according to many of these scholars
threatens the very existence of civilization as we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A society should not be based on the view of the world from one perspective to the exclusion of
all other perspectives. Rather, it should be able to see all points of view and incorporate them into
its worldview.
But after awhile this philosophy began to be replaced by a new system, a know all, see
everything Orwellian big brother that attempted to maintain a rigid order among individuals, and
among their thoughts, because in order for this diseased system, Postmodernism, to survive, it
was necessary for all men to be exactly equal, in their behavior, in their actions, and in their
thoughts. It began with architecture and art, and then proceeded to infect our individual beliefs
and opinions. Whereas once men were free to hold their own opinions, now all men were required
to believe the same beliefs. (As the Counting Crows have observed, round here, we all look the
same. ) According to Habermas, this new system was created by a flaw in the old one. This flaw
lay in the fact that Modernism had no set of rules for interpersonal contact. Therefore, whenever
two peoples individual spheres did come in contact with one another, each ones sphere was
influenced

Thing is Arab women in general choose their man for economic security, Canadian women don

who loves me and to do the same for him. I want to give and not receive.
The problem is that you need to know how to love someone before you get married to them. Let
s say an Arab guy who actually loved a girl for years, and then he decides to discuss it with his
family. What do the parents say? No. Simple as that. After all that years and love, nothing. Why is
it always the parent s final say in the marriage of two people who are in love? Why do they have to
find something wrong with the person their son want to get married to? So what happens next? He
marries a girl his parents approve. but lets go of the one he truly loves. It is fucked up.

Eglin Pkwy Research Papers
Accidents on the road happen daily. Reducing the likelihood of an accident requires the
enforcement of necessary traffic laws and the use of appropriate safety measures. On occasion,
however, certain safety measures are not taken or enforced when they should be. One such
place that has great need for such measures is the intersection of Eglin Pkwy and 12th Ave in
Shalimar Florida. The Eglin Pkwy and 12th Ave intersection is a very familiar place for most
locals. Here Richbourg Ave coincides with 12th Ave and intersecting Eglin Pkwy. Going north on
Eglin Pkwy one would find Shalimar Elementary School just off to the right. Further north of the

According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were 499
pedestrian fatalities in 2011, and in 2015 that number had increased to 632, an approximately 27%
increase in fatalities. With that being said, traffic regulation should be a priority. Traffic laws are
great advocates for road safety, but a law cannot enforce itself nor can it keep everybody safe.
That is why the use of traffic and road signs is important: they enforce and they protect. For
instance, it is a generally known that you cannot exceed the speed limit of twenty miles per hour
inside a school zone; however, most people wouldn t know that they were in a school zone if there
hadn t been a sign that indicated an entrance into a school zone. In addition, while the majority of
drivers are aware that a right turn on red is legal unless otherwise prohibited, many of them wouldn

Essay On The Autobiography Of Malcolm X
The Autobiography of Malcolm X written by Malcolm X and Alex Haley is exactly what it sounds
like; the story of Malcolm s life.
The novel details Malcolm s early life in a racially discriminatory America. It expands on
Malcolm s difficulty childhood dealing with the death of his father and constant threats from the
KKK. Malcolm explains how he had to become a hustler to survive and finds himself in the
Nation of Islam. The Muslim community ultimately leads to his demise when he is shot down by
a black Muslim at one of his speeches. The tone of the book is full of passion and anger.
One of the themes in the autobiography is that views and people change. Malcolm changed his
identity multiple times throughout the book, he was Malcolm Little, Detroit Red, Satan, Malcolm
X, and he later on even developed a Muslim name. Not only that, Malcolm frequently changed his
philosophies in racism. At first he believed whites ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The conk was a hairstyle worn by blacks to straighten the hair and make it appear more like a

an aspect of himself to receive more respect. In addition, this shows Malcolm s hatred of his
blackness and his self suppression. By wearing this hairstyle he was trying to be something other
than himself. He didn t want to adorn black features and wished to be more like a white man and
have the same privileges. Another symbol in the book was Malcolm changing his last name from
Little to X. Little was his slave name and by changing it, he is declaring his freedom and deciding
his own path. Furthermore, Malcolm being release from prison and purchasing new items expresses
his change of lifestyle. Him leaving prison represents him leaving a different mindset behind and
entering a new one. The purchase of the new items shows his commitment to becoming a changed

Mt. Everest, standing 8,850 meters above sea level is taller than any other mountain in the world.
Since 1922, hundreds of climbers have attempted to climb this treacherous mountain located in the
Himalayan Ridge, whose summit ridge separates Nepal and Tibet. By 1996, the number of
successful ascents totaled 846, with more than half occurring between 1992 1996. Sadly, this
achievement did not come without loss of life, as 148 have perished while trying to complete this
achievement.

Ebay Inc. ( Ebay )
EBay Inc. (EBAY) is a leading global commerce platform that enables individuals and businesses
to buy and sell products online. Over the past 20 years, it has become one of the largest online
marketplaces, with over 159 million active users around the world and more than 800 million items
for sale. EBays vision is one that is enabled by people, powered by technology, and open to
everyone (What We Do). EBay runs a more decentralized commerce system than Amazon and
other e commerce companies. Their purpose is to act as a facilitator of peer to peer commerce
rather than maintain their own inventory and sell directly to consumers. This gives more power to
eBay marketplace sellers and allows for both auctions and fixed price sales. (EBay vs Amazon)
With new startups on the rise such as Etsy, SellSimple, and Threadflip, along with e commerce
veterans such as Amazon or Alibaba, eBay has to continuously work to improve its services to
maintain its sellers and continue to attract a larger consumer base. (Thomas) Using information
technology and improved information systems has helped eBay achieve their goals and
differentiate the platform in an increasingly competitive market.
In September 1995, eBay founder Pierre Omidyar launched AuctionWeb, an open marketplace for
buyers and sellers. Working alone for almost a year, Omidyar hired his first employee in June
1996, and by July, AuctionWeb had already sold $7.2 million worth of merchandise. In September
1998, eBay went public.

Essay On Loss Of Innocence
When many people think of children, they think of their innocence. Now imagine those same
children getting their innocence ripped from them. At what point in that situation, did you think
that those kids deserved it, that they were the cause of the problem? That is exactly what is
currently happening to childsoldiers. Those who think that they are the villains are not only
drastically uneducated on the situation, but are also ignorant to the facts. This is most likely due
to the fact that they are not in an area where this is occurring, which means they couldn t possibly
fathom what the kids are experiencing. To deny these children of amnesty for crimes they were

So to put blame on them, while others are at fault, is beyond unreasonable, it could be
considered borderline barbaric. Especially since child soldiers are trying to escape their horrible
lives and the things that they were forced to do. To deny these children the chance of safety and
freedom is not only a awful thing to do, but is also furthering the problem and the likelihood of
their deaths. People everywhere are often given chances to redeem themselves, so why would
these children not get the same treatment? In the world today, kids play role playing games with
violence. But when children are involuntarily performing actual acts of violence they are the
ones who are blamed. To further prove this point, Armed and Underage explains the situation of
child soldiers in Africa and how the U.S. is involved, Because the U.S. is helping to pay Somali
soldiers, it is possible that the money for some child soldiers may have come from American
taxpayers. In other words, if the U.S. is knowingly paying child soldiers to do their bidding, then

Mechanical influence of the combine Chief Bromden believes that Nurse Ratched is able to
turn on a fog machine that fills the whole ward with fog, obscuring his vision. Because of his
schizophrenia, this fog is clearly shown to be a hallucination, but it carries great symbolic
meaning. The fog machines in the ward are reminiscent of the Chief s time in the army, where
fog machines were used to obscure the airfields. He says that while the fog machines were
operating, you couldn t see nothing but white (p 131). The fog symbolises the anonymity that
results from conforming to the rules of the ward, and the Chief uses this anonymity to protect
himself from the punishments of Nurse Ratched. It also symbolises when he loses grip of
reality, either as a result of his medication or out of fear. The rules and regulations of the ward
and society, symbolised in part by the fog, are shown to be similar to castration, and the Chief

thought he make better of Gawaine. He discussed about Gawaine with the Professor of Pleasaunce

remembers the magic word, but it is too late to say the word. He swings the ax anyway and

headmaster tells him that there is no such thing as a magic word and tells him that he has been
doing everything all on his own. The professor says that he was able to slaughter fifty dragons in
less then a year.
Characters: Gawaine le Coeur Hardy: He seems pretty cowardice from the beginning of the book
and still cowardice close to the end. He had no spirit as a knight early in the book and I don t
know why he even tried to become one. At the end he achieves a record of fifty dragons, but is
devoured. The only thing they could find of him were the metallic parts of his medals. They
couldn t even find the ribbons. He made a record for that school that has never been equaled.
The Headmaster: The only reason that Gawaine ever got that far was because of the headmaster.
The headmaster gave him spirit, but after the headmaster told him the truth, I think Gawaine lost
his spirit again. I think that is probably how Gawaine dies.
Conflicts: The first conflict was to get Gawaine to be more enthusiastic about being a knight. This
was resolved by training Gawaine to be a dragon slayer.

Theory of Demographic Transition Essay
The Theory of Demographic Transition
Demography is the study of the components of population variation and change. Death rate and
birth rate are two determinants of population change. Theory of Demographic Transition is
comparatively recent theory that has been accepted by several scholars throughout the world. This
theory embraces the observation that all countries in the world go through different stages in the
growth of population. A nation s economy and level of development is directly related to that
nation s birth and death rates. Population history can be divided into different stages. Some of the
scholars have divided it into three and some scholars have divided it into five stages. These stages
or classifications demonstrate a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But the death rate exceeds the birth rate, which triggers the population increasing very slowly or
almost stable. In this stage, birth rate becomes high due to less use of contraception and
sterilization. Most of the people do survive in agriculture where the children are considered as
economic assets and so people are encouraged to get many children. Similarly death rate
becomes high due to diseases, natural calamities, wars, etc. Infant death rate is also found very
high. Because of poor health facilities provided by the state to the people, lack of clean water
and sanitation and food shortage, health of the people will be weak so that the people will depart
the life in high numbers. Before 1920, China and India were at this stage (Raj, H. 2003). This stage
is generally found in the countries where people depend on agriculture as a main source of
surviving. At present, the countries like Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Angola, etc. are passing
through this stage (Raj, H.2003)
The Early Expanding Stage:
This is the second stage of the Theory of Demographic Transition. In this stage, birth rate does not
come down from the High Stationary Stage but death rate gets very much declined, which triggers
very rapid growth in the population change. In this stage, the nation provides the better public
health services to the people so that the people will not depart from the life so rapidly, and the
declining in infant

How Did Joseph Stalin Conquer Poland
The devastating attack on Poland was a major factor that dictated the beginning of World War Two
between Germany, Britain, and France. When the Germans decided that they wanted to conquer
Poland, they knew that their actions would provoke the greater superpowers of Europe (Britain

Definition Of Failure Essay
Failure Everyone in this world is different. We all have different personalities, looks, and ways of
doing things, but one thing we all have in common is failure. At some point and time, in any
person s life, they have failed at a task. Regardless of how little or how small the letdown, we all
have experienced it a time or two in our lives. The definition of failure is simply the lack of
success, which can completely destroy a person, or motivate them to become better. Everyone has
experienced failure, but what a person does after that failure is what arrays them separately from
the crowd. Personally, I have experienced failure often, but not as often as my success. As a young
person trying to figure out the rest if my life, I have learned a lot of information about myself
while in the process of turning my failures into successes. I have discovered my strengths,
weaknesses, and what motivates me to do better.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, I have learned that I do, in fact, have a fear of failure. Although this is probably
something that everyone experiences, it has become one of my strengths. Failure is something that
has never settled to well with me, mainly because my family always maintained high expectations.
When I find myself in situations where I have failed, it later drives me to try again, and to keep
pushing forward until failure is not an option. Making good grades in school, keeping up with
community service, working full time, and pursuing a career in nursing, have not been easy tasks.
Certainly I have not been perfect at each and every one of these events, but it has taught me how to

1905-1912 Case Study
Discuss the importance of the cinema industry s bid for respectability in this transitional period
(1905 1912) with regard to at least two national cinemas. How did film style, content, and exhibition
change?
First and foremost, it became a business, with order, structure, and monetized. In many regards, the
business practices of film during the preceding area was vague. Nevertheless, the succession of
events brought change and respectability as it became an industry, adopting systems of structure,
tool of the trade, industry standards, business systems and legal battles, rules of practice fell into
place to establish the business of filmmaking.
Additionally, starting around 1905, perpetual destinations committed particularly to film
presentation started to show up, slowly supplanting the carnival like attractions and voyaging
displays of the early years and organizing silver screen as a mass gathering of people amusement.

Use Of Lingustic Instruments For Object Oriented Analysis
Title: HOW TO USE LINGUSTIC INSTRUMENTS FOR OBJECT ORIENTED ANALYSIS
SUMMARY: In software engineering today day we are using this object oriented analysis in
many ways and in many places because it makes us easy to understand the code and the concepts
of the project. There are many theories and methodologies came to explain the object oriented
concepts to make it more easier to understand but the none of them explained the concepts of
paradigm in this document the authors came to overcome the paradigm problem. Actually this
object oriented analysis helps the developers to have a clean explanation and to overcome with
the problems faced by the users. Even though it s useful in many ways but it is mostly depended
on the experience of the developer that makes the organizations to use it slow and it is not use
repeatedly and its mostly depended on the experience of the software engineer only, to overcome
this problem the authors came out with the semi formula model which can make the organizations
to run systematically with object oriented concepts this paper discuses about the steps and criteria
to identify the key words of the program in object oriented method to overcome the textual
description problem of the object oriented analysis. Previously the several authors came with
several object oriented paradigms to explain the textual problem but they were not much succeeded
because the most of the people uses the common words of the natural languages for describing the

The Human Reproduction Act, An Individual
Under s.60 of the Assisted Human Reproduction Act, an individual (a) is liable, on conviction on
indictment, to a fine not exceeding $500,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten
years, or to both; or (b) is liable, on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding $250,000 or to
imprisonment for a term not exceeding four years, or to both for not complying with the guidelines
set out regarding the duties of the reproductionof a child. A surrogate mother is defined as a woman
who carries a fetus conceived through an assisted reproduction procedure which is derived from
the genes of a donor or donors, and with the intent of surrendering such child at the time of birth
(AHRA, 2004). However, there is still ambiguity felt between surrogates and parents related to what
the law sets out as their legal duties in conceiving a child, and this is also pertinent in relation to the
context of a working contract. Having said that, this essay aims at addressing the unclarity, pointing
to the main arguments in favor of the Assisted Human Reproduction Act, and how the decision was
aimed to safeguard the rights of those involved; including the child, and to prevent culpability
issues within the health sector and many others linked to the overall process.
To understand why this is a highly controversial issue today, we must look at some of the main
objectives of why this law was enacted and the compromises made in order to achieve satisfaction
of all. First, what are the

How Elizabeth Gaskell Manipulates the Readers Feelings in...
How Elizabeth Gaskell Manipulates the Readers Feelings in The Half Brothers The Half
Brothers is a story written in the mid 1900 s by a middle class Victorian writer called Elizabeth
Gaskell. She has a strong moral interest in the difficulties of poor people who lived in abject
poverty. This is what inspired her to write stories such as The Half Brothers . Some of her
characters in this short story are described in such a way as to provoke sympathy and admiration
for them from the reader. However other characters have much more depth to them and are more
complicated. The suspense she creates in the particularly dramatic episode set in the Fells in the
north of England also manipulates the reader s feelings. The first... Show more content on

Bart Ehrman s Definition Of Myth
Bart Ehrman believes the chapter of Genesis is a myth. The term myth has many different
definitions though so let s see what he meant when he said myth. Ehrman s definition of a myth
is, a story about God or gods and their activities, which tries to make sense of the world and our
place in it , In Ehrman s eyes, the book of Genesis (in this case chapters 1 11) is just a story, no
more real than the story of Cinderella. Looking at McCutcheon s list of different definitions of the
word myth, I find that Ehrman s definition best fits with Pre scientific explanations of natural
phenomena which basically says that myths are people trying to explain what they observe around
them, their environment. Ehrman believes that creation is a myth,

The Cure For Anything Is Salt Water
As Isak Dinesen famously states in Seven Gothic Tales, The cure for anything is salt water tears,
sweat, or the sea. Paradoxically, since the days of ancient creation epics, the sea has been a
symbol of chaos and danger; clearly, water takes on these characteristics in the terrifying ocean
in The Awakening and in the river that swallows Virginia Woolf in The Hours. Yet for each
major character in the two novels, water yields lucidity in its wake; it is the cure that brings
closure to each story and enlightenment to each woman. Water, in many forms, affects every
major character in [oh god what s a synonym for the two novels ]. Fears of submersion,
overpowering tears, visions of deep sea creatures, and baptismal deaths all seep into the pages of
the two novels. In some cases, water is clearly something to be avoided; take, for example, Laura
Brown s reluctance to begin her tasks as a housewife in the morning. She must [summon]
resolve, as if she were about to dive into cold water (41) just to put down her book, because there
is more passion and promise in Virginia Woolf s words than in her own existence. For Clarissa
Vaughn, too, water invokes feelings of discomfort; as she steps from her home onto the streets of
Greenwich Village, she pauses at the threshold as she would at the edge of a pool, watching the
turquoise water lapping at the tiles, the liquid nets of sun wavering in the blue depths (9). She
admires the freshness of the morning, [delaying] for a

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Millennials
The Great Recession was an economic crisis that caused the housing market to crash, and many
people suffered greatly because of this event. The generation to feel the recession s effects the
worst though was the Millennials, people born from around 1981 to 1997. Many Millennials
became unemployed and where scared from this event, causing them to lean heavily on the
government for support. Today, Millennials, also known as Generation Y or Echo Boomers, are
marked by their increase in the use of social media and other communication devices to stay with
the advancing times, however the economic troubles have stayed with them despite the
generation s growing use of technology. Millennials have been late to buy houses compared to
other generations, and this is due to the Great Recession. Buying a house has many advantages
and disadvantages, however buying one later seems to be hurting the Echo Boomers. The
benefits of buying a house stretch far beyond simply having a private place to stay; a house has
many economic benefits as well. Most things that people buy, like cars or phones, depreciate in
value, meaning that the longer a person keeps the item, the more its value will decrease. On the
other hand, a house appreciates with time, meaning its value grows as more time passes, making
buying a house a sound and smart investment. Even if a person did not want to keep their house,
they can typically sell the house for more than they bought it for. Furthermore, houses bring
financial stability that many other living arrangements cannot provide for residents. When
someone buys a house, he or she normally goes to a bank, takes out a loan, and uses the loan with
some of their own cash to ease the burden of their purchase, and afterwards, the person must pay
back the loan in amounts called mortgages. These mortgages are regular payments of a fraction of
the loan, and the amount does not fluctuate much, allowing the owner to know ahead of time what
the next payment will be. Rent payments may shift drastically from one payment to another, and
this may surprise the renter if they are not prepared like the homeowner. Also, owning a house give
the owner tax deductions, which can further help a person manage their

good points when he talked about our economy and the top one percent. He stated that the Koch
Brothers are the second wealthiest family in America and they spend at least $900 million in
campaigns so they basically own the country. I think this is very scary because if they along with

see Bernie Sanders becoming our next president. I say this not only because people don t vote,
but because as good as his issues sound, EVERYONE in America would have to contribute in
order for the changes he want to make actually take action. Sanders also talks about raising the
minimum wage prices, which I am aware President Obama has been trying to enforce.
Whitehouse.gov states that seventeen states and Washington D.C have passed laws to raise

Why Did The Zapatistas Adopt Indigenous Rights
Despite the fact that government s announcement to amend the constitution came in 1992 which
was a big issue for the indigenous population, and that they had been experiencing other hardships
throughout history, the EZLN did not explicitly make indigenous rights a part of their platform
until a year later (Hayden 12). Part of the reason that the Zapatistas adopted this movement could
be to gain a stronger support base. The 1990s had already proven to have put emphasis back on
questions of indigenous rights back in the minds of people. In 1992 a movement in Latin America
took place called the 500 Years of Resistance and author Rigoberta MenchГє, who came from an
indigenous working class background, being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize that same year (Ross
146). It makes sense then that the EZLN would adopt indigenous rights as one of their objectives.
The EZLN did not shed their aims of wanting democracy and their nationalistic tone, but instead
started to frame some of these sentiments from an indigenous viewpoint. In 1995 emphasis was
beginning to be put on the need for indigenous rights. One of the most visible actions that the
EZLN took that signified this... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Introduction. As One Looks Through Recent Histories Of
Introduction As one looks through recent histories of the media, it quickly becomes apparent that
there has been an influx of controversies regarding the freedom of the press. Considering the age of
America, and the state of current technology, it is understandable why it is now reaching such
discrepancies. In particular, the decisions leading up to the conviction of Theodore Kaczynski,

Combined, these two realizations opened up the door for much commentary by journalists. This
situation became apparent, and while the action of publication could not be taken back, there was
still significant discussion about the decision making process.
Values Applied Proceeding from understanding of the situation is a close examination of the
values associated with the case. As defined by Merriam Websters Dictionary, the word value is
something (as a principle or quality) intrinsically valuable or desirable, (Webster). In application
to the case, values can be seen by all three parties of interest(the public, the media, and the
government). Clearly, the public is concerned largely about safety and the overarching goal to
bring the Kaczynski to justice. Safety an be seen as the value of nonviolence which falls under the
category of morals. While the public can not be assured that Kaczynski will not continue his bomb
making with the publication of the manifesto, they can be reasonable assured that the bomb making
will continue if it is not published. To this end, they value the preservation of life. On the other
hand, the media has a different set of values. Both The Washington Post and The New York Times
have the desire to be [independent] from the government, [and] from hostile groups who make
threats, (Christians 55). Both are reasonable utilizations of the value of professional independence.

Persuasive Water Crisis
Summer is just around the corner, and with it will come the usual high temperatures and sweaty
afternoons. It s this time of year that you find yourself using a bit more water than normal,
whether to wash off or rehydrate. And few things are more enjoyable than coming inside on a
stifling summer afternoon to drink a cool glass of water before heading to the shower to freshen
up. That said, few things are more discouraging than filling up your glass of water to see not a
crystal clear liquid float up to the brim but instead what looks like a discolored puddle pouring into
your cup, maybe with bits of unidentifiable particles haphazardly swimming about. This image is
neither appealing to your parched tongue nor your in need of a shower body. It s pretty evident that
something is wrong with your water supply, and that it s been contaminated somehow or another.
But what happened? If you hire a professional... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It essentially means that there is no valve to control the flow of water from the city s public
water supply and your own, allowing for contamination of both systems. There are two specific
types of this undesirable problem backpressure and backsiphonage. Backpressure problems are
caused when the downstream pressure is greater than the upstream or supply pressure from the
public water system; this scenario occurs from either an increase in downstream pressure, a
decrease in water supply pressure, or a combination of the two. Backsiphonage is, as you have
probably figured out, just the opposite of backpressure that is, it arises from negative pressure in
the public water system. Backsiphonage typically occurs when there is a notable stoppage of
water supply to other systems due to a fire hydrant being in use or a break in the water main.
Without getting too technical, the long and short of this is that neither of these are good news for
the sanitation of your water

The Greek religion really had no word for itself. Although the earliest we have connections to
where the Greeks religion set back is before homer. After they created their own language, it
added on knowledge to other Areas (Bowra). The Greeks believed in the same gods the Romans
did but they gave them different names. The Greeks believed in these gods because they thought
that everything good that happened was a blessing from the gods, but everything bad that would
happen was the gods striking down on them because they did something wrong. In the Greek
imagination, the gods were given human bodies and characters, good and bad, just as regular
people they married and their children had fought. The ancient Greeks worshipped many gods.
Each god had a different personality, domain, and name. Greek myths explained the origins of
the gods and their relations with mankind. Ancient Greek religious practice, essentially
conservative in nature, was based on time honored observances, many rooted in the Bronze Age
(3000 1050 B.C.), or even earlier (Greek Gods). The relationships between the gods and the
human were based on the basic concept of enchanting gifts. The central ritual act in ancient
Greece was animal sacrifice of many animals, mainly oxen and sheep. Sacrifices took place
within the sanctuary, usually at an altar in front of the temple. Liquid offerings, were also
commonly made. Overall the Greek religion was mainly based upon like twenty gods, they were
both good and evil. The Greek religion has been lost for a long time, but there are still some
festivals that celebrate it. There is only one thing that is still tradition from the religions and it is the

  • 2. Eukaryotic Of Eukaryotic And Eukaryotic Genomes I. Introduction Perhaps one of the first lessons one is taught about bacteria is that they constitute the prokaryotic domain of life, while humans and most other readily visible life forms are firmly rooted in the eukaryotic domain. These domains diverged many millions of years ago from a common ancestor and, while the eukaryotic branch later split into eukaryotic and archaeal domains, it maintained its separation from the prokaryotic domain (Woese et al., 1990). Prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes are naturally very distinct in both content and structure as a result of eons long separation, and one tends to classify these domains as very distinct entities. However, there is increasing evidence of so called eukaryotic bacterial genes, or genes present in bacterial genomes that have some sort of eukaryotic origin or function. These eukaryotic bacterial genes are primarily of concern in determining virulence factors of human pathogens. As defined below, bacterial genes can be evolutionarily or functionally eukaryotic, or both. Presence of either type of gene would indicate some interaction between bacteria and eukaryotes, the most oft studied of which are pathogenic interactions. Discovering eukaryotic bacterial genes is particularly important in pathogens that secrete effectors to be taken up by host eukaryotic cells. These effectors tend to modulate host cell functions, so there would be some logic in these effectors being encoded by eukaryotic genes. Most research has been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Holy Grail The Holy Theatre versus the Holy Grail Within these ramblings I will put forward, with pond skater like depth, my musings and personal reflections on the reluctant guru, rebel and acknowledged genius of modern theatre Peter Brook and his fabled hand grenade of a 60 s essay The Holy Theatre . The concept of the Holy Theatre comes from Peter Brook s the Empty Space, in which he separates theatre into four testaments: Deadly, Holy, Rough, and immediate though the lines between said factions blur, overlap and interplay throughout. Held by many to be the holy grail of modern theatre texts, almost sacred in many quarters. Page 62 That alchemy has proved transcendently effective over the centuries since the plays were first written. The bard has a way of saying simple things and for others a simple way of saying complex things. For Brook, theatre is very much the latter; and, in a late work like Tierno Bokar, he is seeking, in his own phrase, to go beyond the immediate present. This likewise philosophy treats theatre less as a product than as a process: a collaborative means of exploring life s mystery. I can though picture Brook throwing down his manuscript upon its completion, screaming at his beloved Shakespeare for covering it all within his works, where genius glints from every page and line with a nonchalant ease. In Brook s concept of theatre, the audience is essential; without it, nothing happens. The relationship between the actor and the audience is the only theatre reality, he once told an interviewer Brook s concepts of the deadly, the holy, the rough, the immediate, the dirty, are amazingly relevant to more areas of art and thought than just solely theatre. Maybe applicable to life itself when the layers are peeled ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay about A Postmodern Bore A Postmodern Bore Imagine, if you will, a world where everyone was the same, where your neighbors had the same clothes as you did, the same kind of dog, and the same color house as you did. A world where everyone looked like everyone else, behaved the same, and thought the same. A world characterized by total and complete conformity through assimilation, incorporation, and deindividualization. A world where an elite cadre of individuals determined the very shape of reality itself. This world is held by many scholars to be typifying of one of the major aspects of Postmodernism. Although Postmodernism refuses to define itself , (Kozinets see later,) it according to many of these scholars threatens the very existence of civilization as we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A society should not be based on the view of the world from one perspective to the exclusion of all other perspectives. Rather, it should be able to see all points of view and incorporate them into its worldview. But after awhile this philosophy began to be replaced by a new system, a know all, see everything Orwellian big brother that attempted to maintain a rigid order among individuals, and among their thoughts, because in order for this diseased system, Postmodernism, to survive, it was necessary for all men to be exactly equal, in their behavior, in their actions, and in their thoughts. It began with architecture and art, and then proceeded to infect our individual beliefs and opinions. Whereas once men were free to hold their own opinions, now all men were required to believe the same beliefs. (As the Counting Crows have observed, round here, we all look the same. ) According to Habermas, this new system was created by a flaw in the old one. This flaw lay in the fact that Modernism had no set of rules for interpersonal contact. Reducing the likelihood of an accident requires the enforcement of necessary traffic laws and the use of appropriate safety measures. On occasion, however, certain safety measures are not taken or enforced when they should be. One such place that has great need for such measures is the intersection of Eglin Pkwy and 12th Ave in Shalimar Florida. The Eglin Pkwy and 12th Ave intersection is a very familiar place for most locals. Here Richbourg Ave coincides with 12th Ave and intersecting Eglin Pkwy. With that being said, traffic regulation should be a priority. Traffic laws are great advocates for road safety, but a law cannot enforce itself nor can it keep everybody safe. That is why the use of traffic and road signs is important: they enforce and they protect. Malcolm explains how he had to become a hustler to survive and finds himself in the Nation of Islam. One of the themes in the autobiography is that views and people change. The fog machines in the ward are reminiscent of the Chief s time in the army, where fog machines were used to obscure the airfields. Similarly death rate becomes high due to diseases, natural calamities, wars, etc. Infant death rate is also found very high. He dreamed of his fiancГ© back home. Then his mind switched to the mission trip God led him to do here in Brazil. The Captain and the other man traveling with Ken had gone through the jungle to a village along the Amazon, but he was enjoying a little down time before heading out. Ken drug his hand across his forehead and looked up. I should probably get ready to assist the other missionaries soon, he thought. Sweat was a constant visitor as a result of the humidity of Brazil. Paradoxically, since the days of ancient creation epics, the sea has been a symbol of chaos and danger; clearly, water takes on these characteristics in the terrifying ocean in The Awakening and in the river that swallows Virginia Woolf in The Hours. Yet for each major character in the two novels, water yields lucidity in its wake; it is the cure that brings closure to each story and enlightenment to each woman. Water, in many forms, affects every major character in [oh god what s a synonym for the two novels ]. Fears of submersion, overpowering tears, visions of deep sea creatures, and baptismal deaths all seep into the pages of the two novels. In some cases, water is clearly something to be avoided; take, for example, Laura Brown s reluctance to begin her tasks as a housewife in the morning. She must [summon] resolve, as if she were about to dive into cold water (41) just to put down her book, because there is more passion and promise in Virginia Woolf s words than in her own existence. For Clarissa Vaughn, too, water invokes feelings of discomfort; as she steps from her home onto the streets of Greenwich Village, she pauses at the threshold as she would at the edge of a pool, watching the turquoise water lapping at the tiles, the liquid nets of sun wavering in the blue depths (9). • 34. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Millennials The Great Recession was an economic crisis that caused the housing market to crash, and many people suffered greatly because of this event. The generation to feel the recession s effects the worst though was the Millennials, people born from around 1981 to 1997. Many Millennials became unemployed and where scared from this event, causing them to lean heavily on the government for support. Today, Millennials, also known as Generation Y or Echo Boomers, are marked by their increase in the use of social media and other communication devices to stay with the advancing times, however the economic troubles have stayed with them despite the generation s growing use of technology. Millennials have been late to buy houses compared to other generations, and this is due to the Great Recession. Buying a house has many advantages and disadvantages, however buying one later seems to be hurting the Echo Boomers. The benefits of buying a house stretch far beyond simply having a private place to stay; a house has many economic benefits as well. Most things that people buy, like cars or phones, depreciate in value, meaning that the longer a person keeps the item, the more its value will decrease. On the other hand, a house appreciates with time, meaning its value grows as more time passes, making buying a house a sound and smart investment. Even if a person did not want to keep their house, they can typically sell the house for more than they bought it for. Furthermore, houses bring financial stability that many other living arrangements cannot provide for residents. When someone buys a house, he or she normally goes to a bank, takes out a loan, and uses the loan with some of their own cash to ease the burden of their purchase, and afterwards, the person must pay back the loan in amounts called mortgages. These mortgages are regular payments of a fraction of the loan, and the amount does not fluctuate much, allowing the owner to know ahead of time what the next payment will be. Rent payments may shift drastically from one payment to another, and this may surprise the renter if they are not prepared like the homeowner. Also, owning a house give the owner tax deductions, which can further help a person manage their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This episode was originally aired on April 16, 2015, so the topic of discussion was if Bernie Sanders would be running for president and what were the issues he would focus on if so. Sanders made some very good points when he talked about our economy and the top one percent. He stated that the Koch Brothers are the second wealthiest family in America and they spend at least $900 million in campaigns so they basically own the country. I think this is very scary because if they along with other billionaires are the ones giving the money to campaigns then they are the only voices that are being heard. Why Did The Zapatistas Adopt Indigenous Rights Despite the fact that government s announcement to amend the constitution came in 1992 which was a big issue for the indigenous population, and that they had been experiencing other hardships throughout history, the EZLN did not explicitly make indigenous rights a part of their platform until a year later (Hayden 12). Part of the reason that the Zapatistas adopted this movement could be to gain a stronger support base. The 1990s had already proven to have put emphasis back on questions of indigenous rights back in the minds of people. In 1992 a movement in Latin America took place called the 500 Years of Resistance and author Rigoberta MenchГє, who came from an indigenous working class background, being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize that same year (Ross 146). It makes sense then that the EZLN would adopt indigenous rights as one of their objectives. The EZLN did not shed their aims of wanting democracy and their nationalistic tone, but instead started to frame some of these sentiments from an indigenous viewpoint. In 1995 emphasis was beginning to be put on the need for indigenous rights. One of the most visible actions that the EZLN took that signified this... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As defined by Merriam Websters Dictionary, the word value is something (as a principle or quality) intrinsically valuable or desirable, (Webster). In application to the case, values can be seen by all three parties of interest(the public, the media, and the government). Clearly, the public is concerned largely about safety and the overarching goal to bring the Kaczynski to justice. Safety an be seen as the value of nonviolence which falls under the category of morals. While the public can not be assured that Kaczynski will not continue his bomb making with the publication of the manifesto, they can be reasonable assured that the bomb making will continue if it is not published. To this end, they value the preservation of life. On the other hand, the media has a different set of values.
