Essay For Macbeth
Crafting an essay on the topic of Macbeth can be both a challenging and rewarding endeavor.
Shakespeare's play is rich with complex characters, intricate plotlines, and profound themes,
making it a fertile ground for analysis. However, navigating through the dense layers of the text,
deciphering the motivations of the characters, and extracting meaningful insights require careful
consideration and a deep understanding of literary elements.
One of the challenges lies in interpreting the character of Macbeth himself. His psychological
transformation from a loyal warrior to a power-hungry tyrant is a nuanced journey that demands
careful examination. Unraveling the web of ambition, guilt, and moral decay that defines
Macbeth's character adds an extra layer of difficulty to the writing process.
Additionally, delving into the themes presented in Macbeth, such as the nature of ambition, the
consequences of unchecked power, and the impact of guilt, requires a thoughtful exploration of
the text's subtleties. Drawing connections between these themes and the broader human
experience is essential for creating a well-rounded and compelling essay.
Moreover, the sheer volume of existing scholarship on Macbeth can be overwhelming.
Navigating through the multitude of critical analyses, interpretations, and academic discussions
can be a daunting task for anyone attempting to contribute a fresh perspective to the discourse.
Despite these challenges, writing an essay on Macbeth is an opportunity to engage with one of
Shakespeare's most enduring works, providing a platform to explore timeless themes and human
nature itself. Through careful research, thoughtful analysis, and eloquent expression, one can
craft an essay that not only deciphers the intricacies of Macbeth but also adds to the ongoing
conversation about this literary masterpiece.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on Macbeth is undoubtedly a demanding task, it is also a
chance to delve into the depths of Shakespearean literature and contribute one's insights to the
broader academic dialogue. Similar essays and a wealth of academic assistance can be found on

I Want To Pursue My Bachelor s Degree In College
What I hope to do with my education is to earn my bachelor s degree in Journalism
with a minor in Spanish at Central Connecticut State University. I hope in college
that I will be able to develop my skills into becoming an excellent writer, reporter,
interviewer and speaker. With these skills, I aspire to become one of the first
Hispanic/Latina sideline reporter for the YES Network Inc. Furthermore, I hope to
one day host my own talk show to speak about important issues that pertain to the
Latino community, such as education. I know what the value of an education is and
how it should not be taken for granted. There are many countries from Latino origin
where young children do not have the luxury to attend schoolnor learn the basic
aspects of life. I hope with my platform and credentials, I can reach out to not only my

Through this experience, I was given the platform to make great changes within
the community and especially in the Latin community. Last summer I wrote,
starred and produced my own segment on the lack of young Latino voters in
Hartford, CT. I spoke to many people as well as then mayoral candidates, Pedro
Segarra (former mayor of Hartford), Joel Cruz Jr. and Luke Bronin (current mayor
of Hartford). Through this project I was able to get a better feel of the mistrust
between the public and the politicians. I was also able to provide a voice to those
who needed it and didn t have the platform to do it. Because of this project, it stirred
a conversation within the community to the point that there was a meeting held at the
Hartford Library between young Latino voters and leaders of the community. It was
such a satisfying accomplishment that my work sparked fire into people s heart to
where they wanted to educate themselves to have a clearer understanding of what is

The African Doctor Sparknotes
The African Doctor is about this African man, who is a doctor living in a
dictatorship country. He wants to move because he doesn t want to live in a
dictatorship country. One night he was hanging around with his friends at a bar,
there he met a man looking for a local doctor for a small village. The man, which is
the mayor of the village, talks to the doctor about the details and instead of
persuading him to take the job, he pushes the doctor away. The reason he did so,
was because the small village has never seen a black person. The doctor insist of
taking the job anyway, feeling good about it. The doctor calls his family, telling them
that they re moving. The family misunderstood where they were moving to and
thought they were going to Paris instead. The next day, they... Show more content on

working as a doctor. The doctor tries to call the wife and tells her that he s sorry
and they he wishes he could see her the next day and tells her that he can t work

is here and the doctor wants the current mayor to win the election so that he can
become a doctor again. He tells everyone that he s leaving unless the current mayor
wins, so that people would vote for the current mayor. The wife comes back the next
day, and elections start. After everyone voted, the kids and other students put a play
about the doctor. About what he went through and how he pulled through. They then

How To Motivate Offenders To Change
Abstract
Once an inmate is released from prison and given parole or probation it is difficult
for them to live a normal life like any other ordinary person would integrate day to
day in our society. The offenders will have many obstacles due to their criminal
background in finding a job or even taken serious by others in general. In a way,
the parolee or probationer are fearful to how society might approach them once let
out of prison and even more frighten if the parolee or probationer served an
indeterminate sentence (10 20 years) in prison and not know how to become a part of
society becomes their worst nightmare due to the past thoughts of old habits that got

How to motivate offenders to change
(Clarissa Trejo)
Introduction
To motivate offenders to change sounds difficult, but is not impossible for those who
accept to receive help such as rehab, prevention programs that are effective for those
whom have a drug or alcohol problem and even one to one cognitive behavioral
therapy that reduces recidivism in both youngsters and adults.
History
The word, parole, derives from the French parole meaning word of honor and
references prisoners of war promising not to take up arms in current conflict if
released. Probation has antecedents that reach back to biblical times, its American
history dates to the nineteenth century. The concept of probation from the Latin
probation, meaning period of proving. Evolved out of the practice of judicial
reprieve, used in English courts to serve as a temporary suspension of sentence to
allow a defendant to appeal to the crown for a pardon.
Issues of Probation and Parole
The 21st century is several years away and planning is needed to effectively manage
excessive caseloads to protect the public. This paper reviews a fresh means of
supervision methodology and the joining of the prevailing technology and the
imminent technology of the 21st century. For quite some time there has been a

The Historical Voices Of Opera
The Historical Voices of Opera:
From 1500 century to new Milieumn
For over thousands of years, Opera has become one of the greatest musical forms.
By early 1600 s, Opera has made a major expansion all over Europe. Many singers
were very skillful and challenged of any vocal genre. Also, by this time the
audience didn t just come and see actors/actress play theatrical roles, they wanted
to hear the sweet sound of the leading voices. Mostly, the high vocal range parts
stole the show. Between 1590 to 1900, the Castrati (male sopranos) played the
leading roles as the heroines, hero and villains, but it will take decades for women
to arise from the religious and political views which caused restriction on all opera
houses to ban all women to participate on stage. Like women, soon the rise for the
castrate singers will decline and restrictions to participate on stage will come into
effect. There are four similarities between both sexes that causes a rise and fall
effect in the operatic form. First similarity is the history of the opera. According to
John Brister, before the existence of opera, each nationality has used boys, falsettos,
or eunuchs as singers to entertain and worship. Even though their voices admired by
a historical point of view, the falsetto and the eunuch didn t have appropriate
signature or sound to continue. Eventually, the Spanish and Roman church used
castrati s in 1577 1578. They carried a lighter tone similar to a woman s voice.

Bacterial Growth Rates Essay
Unit 3. Assignment 1: Bacterial Growth Rates
1.Mediums that could be used to determine shigellosis include Btilliant Green Agar,
and Triple Sugar Iron Agar. Expected results in a confirmed case of shigellosis are as
follows:
Brilliant Green Agar Isolated Shigella colonies which do not ferment lactose or
sucrose and appear red or white in color with no growth to trace growth on the Agar
plate will be present.
Triple Sugar Iron Agar Presence of Shigella will manifest as a red slant with a yellow
butt with no H2S present.

colonies surrounded by yellow green zones. In the Triple Sugar Iron Agar, E. coli

3.These results suggest that the K. brevis counts are significantly increasing by more
than quadrupling in number over a three day time frame, which is indicative of an
impending harmful algal bloom. With this rate of increase, it is safe to speculate that
a full algal bloom will occur in approximately 2.5 more days. There are other
methods that may be used to investigate growth rates of bacteria, and these include
filtration, measuring turbidity with a colorimeter or spectrophotometer, and using the
most probable number method (Reikowski, 2013).
4.When beginning a culture of S. pneumonia with one cell at 9 a.m., the amount of
cells that will be present by noon is equal to 64 cells. If you were to begin this
experiment by 6:30 p.m., 20 generations will have passed (60 minutes x 10 hours =
600. 600 / 20 generations = 30 minute generation time.) If this culture is left
indefinitely, logarithmic growth will only be maintained for a limited time. This is a
result of the increase in the number of organisms and a decrease in nutrients,
accumulation of metabolic waste, limited living space, and oxygen depletion.
Limiting factor for logarithmic growth is the rate of which energy can be produced
in the form of ATP. As nutrient availability decreases, cells are less able to generate
ATP and their growth rate significantly decreases. This decreased growth
Comparing Emerson And Ralph Waldo Emerson
Ralph Waldo Emerson says There is a time in every man s education when he
arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide. This
quote is immensely true you should always be true to yourself and you shouldn t
envy people you don t really know that much about. You should stay true to
yourself because if you want to imitate someone who are killing yourself
figuratively. How is your inner self alive if you don t display it no one knows who
you really are so your soul is dead to others. They would just see that you are like
everyone else or like someone else in particular and then you will be compared to
the other person which isn t what people usually want. If someone were to
compare you to someone and you are just off there in the corner hearing this and
they are saying blah blah he s/she s exactly like so and so and you are just like no I
m me , but you have no proof because what they are saying is true. Your inner self
would never be known to people if you like to hide away and just do what it is
popular they we ll see you as just no one special and everyone wants to have
something different about them that s what makes people awesome there is not two

Abstract
The Callinectes sapidus also known commonly as the Maryland Blue Crab, is a
crustacean found in the Chesapeake Bay. The blue crab is found in aquatic
environments, most often in estuaries. It characterized by it s blue claws. The blue
crabs undergo a life cycle of: zoeae, megalop, juvenile, and adulthood. The blue crab
s hard shells serve as a protective barrier for external dangers. The Callinectes sapidus
comes from the order of Decapods, whereby it s carapace has now evolved to be
better suited for swimming. Of interest is the blue crab s mating ... Show more content

It shares ancestral background with shrimp and lobsters. They are omnivores with
their prey being mussels, fish, plants, and smaller blue crabs (Society). Although the
Blue Crab is well established within its ecosystem it is highly sensitive to
environmental and habitat changes ( Blue Crab, Maryland State Crustacean , 2016).
The detrimental conditions of the Chesapeake Bay have affected the populations of
Blue Crabs along with over harvesting.
Life Cycle The life cycle of a Blue Crab involves Zoeae, Megalops, Juveniles, and
Adulthood (Zinski, 2006) ( Blue Crab Life Cycle, 2016). Mating occurs only once
for female crabs. Female crabs undergo a pubertal mold which is indicative of a
sexually mature state in their life cycle. During the pubertal molt females release
pheromones which attract males. The actual ritual of mating does not occur until
females molt their shells (Zinski, 2006). At which point females will then retreat to
high salinity water to begin spawning. Spawning will occur for the first time 2 9
months after mating. Interestingly, males will protect females during the period
which females have molted and it is at this point in which mating occurs (Hill,
2004). As previously mentioned Blue Crabs are highly susceptible to changes in
environmental conditions. As an example, larvae require high salinity waters. Larvae
require salinity of at least 20 ppt and below that threshold, there is poor likelihood of
survival ability.

Essay on The Chemistry behind our Television Sets
Chemistry has had a colossal impact on the advancement of technology throughout
the world. Every electronic item can acknowledge chemistry for its creation. A main
example that everyone knows of would be the television. Without chemistry, there
would be no technology; and without technology, we would not be where we are
today. Before televisionwas invented people tried to find different ways to entertain
themselves. One bizarre thing people used the do was to attend surgeries for
entertainment. They found surgery to be very interesting and thrilling so they
watched for their entertainment, almost like a TV show but in real life. Before
television was invented news could not be delivered on a screen broadcasted to
everyone, therefore... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The newer models of televisions contain plasma in their screens. Plasma screens
are made up of groups of cells called pixels. These pixels are composed of three sub
pixels that consist of three different colors; green, red, and blue. This technology
uses a plasma etching system which is a type of plasma processing mainly used in
fabricating integrated circuits. The process involves shooting a gas mixture of
glow discharge or plasma towards a sample at very high speeds. (The Canadian
News). The plasma, in gas state, reacts with phosphors in the television panel s sub
pixels to create colored light in green, red, or blue. A phosphor is a synthetic
fluorescent or phosphorescent substance. The phosphors used are comparable to the
ones used in traditional Cathode Ray Tube televisions and computer monitors.
Cathode Ray tubes are a high vacuum tube in which cathode rays produce a
luminous image on a fluorescent screen. With plasma technology, televisions are
now able to display richer, more dynamic, and more realistic colors than the CRT
televisions (The Canadian News). Technology is affecting society in various ways
today. The television has an impact on the behavior of adolescents that many would
consider negative. For example, violence in media can cause youth violence.
According to Brandon S. Centerwall, If, hypothetically, television technology had
never been developed, there would be 10,000 fewer homicides each year in the

You and only you can be your dream hero. Don t wait for the perfect moment and

things unfold. You don t need to have all the answers at the onset of your journey;
what you need to have, however, is unwavering faith that one day these vision shall

The Pros And Cons Of The Manhattan Project
Throughout the Roosevelt administration and later through the Truman
administration, it became clear that both had the distinct focus of ending World War
II at the earliest possible time. This is a common theme identified throughout J.
Samuel Walker s Prompt and Utter Destruction. While some countries had put
moderate effort into researching atomic power and how it could affect the war, the
United States was the only country capable of putting full effort into researching and
creating an atomic bomb that could be utilized during the war. Following warnings
from scientists that informed Roosevelt of the possibility of the Germans making
progress on their knowledge of nuclear energy, Roosevelt assigned a lofty and
difficult project to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This project soon became
known as the Manhattan Projectdue to the engineer district that was formed to design
and build this bomb being originally headquartered in New York. The Manhattan
Project was established at a time in the war when the United States was uncertain of
its outcome. After the first successful, self sustaining nuclear chain reaction took
place in a squash court at the University of Chicago, the idea of an atomic bomb
became more feasible. However, while the idea became more feasible, the transition
from experimental knowledge to designing an actual bomb was a huge step that
involved many uncertainties and troubles. Although the Manhattan Project was
formed during a period of uncertainty, the government had high hopes of the newly
formed project, but despite these high hopes, the Manhattan Project faced seemingly
insurmountable obstacles as it moved from experimental knowledge to designing the
bomb, the most prominent being the design for the new technology and the role the
bomb would play in the realm of global diplomacy.
As the engineers and scientists of the Manhattan Project began further research on the
creation of the atomic bomb, they quickly ran into one of their first major problems.
Making nuclear fuel to power the bomb quickly proved to be a major predicament.
The Clinton Engineer
Works, later renamed Oak Ridge, was established in Tennessee to specifically address
the fuel research needed to operate the atomic
Essay on Breast Feeding is Best

Breast is Best If one chooses to have a child, shouldn t he or she be obligated to do
what is best for that child? There are many important choices to make for that child,
and some may be more difficult than others. Hospital or home birth? Pampers or
Huggies? Crib or family bed? But when it comes to feeding, the choice is clear.
Breast feeding is the best choice that mothers can make for themselves and their child.
Not everyone agrees that breast feeding is the best choice. Some argue that bottle

This concern is unnecessary because the hind milk, the milk that a baby gets at the
end of a nursing session, is higher in calories than that at the beginning, and tends to
make a baby feel full (Eisenberg, Murkoff, and Hathaway 4). Some women choose
not to breast feed because they have heard the common myth that breast feeding
causes jaundice, or excess bilirubin in the skin that causes a baby to look yellow
(Lim 70). This belief is unfounded. Breast feeding is actually the best thing that you
could do for a jaundice baby because colostrum, the rich fluid that comes in before
your milk, actually acts as a laxative to help the baby pass meconium, a baby s first
bowel movement, which is high in bilirubin (Lim 70). There are many reasons to
breast feed, but the most important reasons have to do with the health of you and
your child. Did you know that breast feeding is possibly linked to reducing the risk
of breast cancer that occurs before menopause (Eisenberg, Murkoff, and Hathaway

Admission And The Teacher Education Program
Admission to the Teacher Education Program
Growing up, I always knew that teaching was my passion. Teaching was something
that I wanted to do, because I had a love for working with children. I also had a love
for helping others to reach their fullest potential, no matter how hard it was. Teaching
is something that shows me the greatest outcome. One day I will get to watch the
children that I taught and helped make a difference in achieving their dreams.
Throughout my time here at Newberry College, I have had some awesome
experiences that have influenced the way that I will teach. Education 232, and
Elementary Geometry 222 have had the greatest influences. A teacher that I worked
with while I was a senior in High School has also influenced me. All of these
experiences will lead me into being the best teacher that I can be. Education 232 has
been the best learning experience in the education department for me so far. This
course taught me that it is ok to see differences in students but not to treat them
differently. Classrooms are a diverse learning environment, and learning about them
in this course has better prepared me for seeing these diversities in the field.
Diversity is a major thing to recognize when going into a classroom. Diversity sets
one student apart from another. It not only includes talking about students that look
different but also the ones that learn different. As a teacher it will be my

Essay on How Humanism Transformed Individuals Role
Throughout time an individual s role in which he fits into society has changed. One
of the most noticeable changes in an individual s role in society occurred during the
Italian Renaissance during the 14th and 15th centuries with the introduction of
Humanism. Humanism gave birth to the concept of individuality a notion which is
still alive today. It said that humans mattered and that now mattered, that one should
not be part of a whole but rather someone that is unique. Before Humanism people
only thought of the after life, of whether they were going to heaven or hell, but with
the introduction of Humanism people became more involved in the present, rather

They were also encouraged to study ancient societies such as the Greeks and the
Romans, believing this was the remedy for the present society. Humanism also
encouraged people to help their society by combining the talents. An example of that
can be found in Florence where three humanists served as chancellors of the city.
Coluccio Salutati, Leonardo Bruni, and Poggio Bracciolini used rhetorical skills to
encourage Florentines to revolt against the aggression of Naples and Milan. Both
Bruni and Poggio wrote flattering histories of the city. Leon Battista Alberti, another
accomplished humanist scholar, was a noted Florentine architect and builder. They
were encouraged to combine their skills in history, art, and literature in their every
day lives. This made them see the world with a different perspective, which made
them into the individuals they aspired to be. Another change that occurred during the
Italian Renaissance was the artistic perspective of this world. People were no longer
painting two dimensional art, and non logical portraits. A new technique,
chiaroscuros a technique that involved light and shadows, gave their paintings more
depth and a realistic imagery. They also made their paintings more realistic by
making the objects relative to one another. They emphasised emotions and belief in a
universe full of harmony. By encouraging

Explain the nature, character and spatial distribution of world cities
Closely associated with the process of globalisation is the notion of World cities .
World cities are those such as London, New York and Tokyo where urban function
has moved beyond the national scale to become a part of the international and global
system. They are centres of culture, economics, employment, tourism, transport and
communications and have been referred to as the command centres of the World s
borderless economy.
Nature and Character of World Cities
The nature of World cities is one of dominance and influence rather than just size.
They are powerful centres of economic and cultural authority within their region and
on the global stage. They are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Typically today they are centres for technology, information and service based
industries rather than manufacturing. London for example has the Headquarters of
118 of Europe s top 500 and 64 of the Fortune 500, 75% of Fortune 500 companies
have offices in London.
World cities are centres of media and communications for global networks. New York
city is home to the world s largest global media companies NewsCorp, and Time
Warner. Sky TV is based in London and Fleet Street is home to some of the world s
most famous newspapers such as the Times and the Financial Times.
World cities have major international transport connections linking them to the rest
of the world. London s Heathrow airport is the world s busiest passenger airport
with 86 airlines serving 90 countries. Many world cities are also major international
ports such as Tokyo and New York.
World Cities are centres of cultural authority in areas such as sports, fashion and the
arts. Paris, New York, Milan and London are famous centres of fashion. London is
home to designers Stella McCartney Burberry and Alexander McQueen and has
world renowned shopping at Harrods and Bond Street. London and New York have
the most prestigious theatre districts in the world (the West End and Broadway) and
Los Angeles Cities is the home of the world dominant American film culture. Paris is
Franklin Delano Roosevelt s New Deal
In 1935, Franklin Delano Roosevelt created the Works Progress Administration
(WPA) under the aegis of his New Deal program. This Congressionally funded
program gave jobs and money to the unemployed of all stripes during the Great
Depression. For all its jobs and participants of every race, creed and age, the WPA is
often viewed through the display of its arts. During the second New Dealalong with
the Social Security Act the Works Progress Administration(WPA) was created. This
program is somewhat of an extended version of efforts by Herbert Hoover attempted
to provide jobs and income to the enormous amount of unemployed people during the
depression. The creation of the WPA became the creation of the Federal Arts Project

Case Manager Interview
Case Manager: Merventine Scott
Organization: Family and Youth Services
Assessment and reassessment
1. When clients are referred to your organization, what process or procedure is
followed to assess your client (such as psychological, social, medical, et cetera)?
When clients are referred to Family and Youth Services an initial assessment is
performed, which includes information on a clients demographics, residential status,
income, insurance coverage, mental or medical history, and main reason for seeking
service. The process also includes an overview of different areas of need such as
shelter, food, safety, and health care.
2. What steps do you take to stay up to date on current services or changes in ... Show

What is the framework for each stage?
The first stage is being patient; take the time to listen to the client to build rapport and
trust. From listening to the client you can understand what the issues are and how
much insight and maturity they have, their support system, and any other
information to develop a client/case manager relationship. In the second stage we
assist the client in identifying their goals and develop hope that their problems can
be solved. The third stage is when the case manager discusses with the client what
they are willing to do to meet their goals and help them choose strategies to meet
them.
5. How do you calmly and effectively deal with a high stress situation?
When I feel stressed I do not let the client see it. I hold my composure and out of
the clients presence I relax my mind by walking or listening to calm music. Usually
after I remove myself from the stressful atmosphere I am able to think better and
come up with ideas to help me with the stressor.
Fostering client participation and empowerment
6. How do you motivate non compliant clients?
I motivate non compliant clients by allowing them to have choices and let them lead
the way the conversation goes. Fostering collaboration and developing creative
solutions in providing consequences for them being non compliant is a good strategy.
Empathize with the client and the reasons for the non compliance. I also have

The bays had played important role in shaping the Sydney city which has significant
history of contribution to the development of the city. The bays are situated on
Sydney harbour just two kilometres west from Sydney Central Business District. The
bays precinct encompasses five and a half kilometres of waterfront; ninety five
hectares of land mostly owned by the government and ninety four hectares of water
ways. The idea behind creating future development plan for The Bay Precinct is to
create a landmark for the city with spectacular waterfront destinations. And also to
create interactive public space, promenades and commercial spaces that increases job
opportunities in the city. The main idea about the transformation plan is to ... Show

Similarities Between Nature And Nature
In this essay, I will debate the assumption that nature and technology are binary
opposites, or two worlds apart from each other. I will refer to the interactive game
which I have used within my presentation to illustrate how technology is not separate
from nature human nature in particular but that it is simply a man made artifice,
which is the materialisation of the plethora of ideas within the human mind. I will
also refer to one of the three presribed readings from Arthur (2009) in order to better
substantiate my views and opinions about this subject.
Technology and nature share many surprising similarities in that they follow the same
processes of benefiting mankind and nature; once new technologies have been
created, they have become ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The magical elements such as the mythical creatures, monsters and beasts, spells,
powers and the stories which are told signify the right or creative brain, stereotyped as

Therefore, World of Warcraftis the perfect hybrid of the two hemispheres of human

To summarise, technology follows the same process as that of nature in that new
technologies are formed from older building blocks of previous technologies.
Technology has undergone an evolution, drifting from the Modernistic principles of
masculine order and rationality towards the Postmodernistic values of feminine
imagination and emotional spontaneity. An example of this would be the economy,
which adapts to the ebb and flow of the supply and demand of society at large. The
internet is another example of an intricately complex network of information and
ideas.
World of Warcraft imitate real world races and cultures, whilst still using mythical
monsters and beasts instead of solely human characters. This serves as a hybrid
between the two hemispheres of the human brain, logic and emotion, realism and
Tenets Of Confucianism
The military classics of China represent a long and historical culture of the Chinese
people. They represent the societal concerns and developments of China and within
these texts are recurring tenets that occupied the philosophy of China. Five tenets will
be analyzed to show the Confucian relationship across various military texts. The
philosophy of Confucianismpermeates throughout the Chinese history and society
beginning with Han Wudi s reign. Confucian influence found within the texts of the
military doctrine. The Confucians pushed for diplomacy to resolve foreign policy
conflicts. Pacifism, as Edmund Ryden states, is not the tenet found in the books
however peace is one of the tenets found in common with the military texts. Waris...

Confucianism can be found once more in this strategy as the goal was to kill as
few people as possible, since the goal of warfare wasn t to kill people. Sun tzu
favored a primary objective of subjugating other states without fighting thus
diplomatic coercion was the idea method. He stressed avoiding prolonged warfare.
He wrote, Thus the army values being victorious; it does not value prolonged
warfare. This meant maximizing the results with minimum destruction that is
inflicted. The writers like Wei Liao tzu focused on speed, deception, concentration
of force, assaulting weak points while avoiding strengths as strategic ways of
forcing the opponent to acquiesce. Brute force warfare was disdain for a maneuver
that provided a quick end to a conflict thus achieving the desired goals without excess
killing.
Confucian ideals permeate through the military texts and the five tenets analyzed as
examples of the relationship between the military texts and Confucianism. The
writers of these texts were bound culturally to the Confucian ideals as they wrote the
texts. This relationship emphasized peace more than pacifism. Benevolence and
righteousness can be seen through the various examples showing how the Confucian
view of life was adhered to in these military
Alkite Synthesis
On 1/7, the Alky started to only process FCCU BB and no longer process Coker BB.
Alkylation chemistry neither likes contaminants nor diluents. Contaminants are direct
acid consumers. The more contaminants in the feed, the more often the unit will be at
an acid constraint. Diluents do not reaction in alkylationchemistry but they take up
space and decrease the effective area for isobutane and olefin to contact. With less
contact, side reactions like polymerization are more likely to occur; polymerization
reactions are a direct acid consumer.
Comparing the FCCU and Coker BB, Coker BB contains far more contaminants and
diluents than FCCU BB (see Table 2, pg.4).
By lowering the amount of contaminants and diluents, acid consumption was reduced
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The best way to decrease acid residence time is by lowering the level in the settlers.
PAR has abnormally high settler levels (45 60% vs. typical 15 20%). The acid
consumption impact of running at the appropriate levels in the settler is 0.15 lb
/gal or 1.3 MM$/yr in savings (1.1 MM$/yr at cooling constraint and 1.3 MM$/yr
at acid constraint). Process Support recommends maintaining a level of 15 20% in
C and A settler and a level of 40% in B settler. B settler should be run higher than C
or A because of risk of sending lighter hydrocarbons to the spent acid tank.
3.Emulsion recycle
Emulsion recycle minimizes undesirable side reactions, such as polymerization, in
the acid settler by keeping the olefins and alkyl sulfates (esters) in contact with
isobutane. This results in improved Alkylate quality with reduced acid consumption.
Process Support recommends opening all emulsion recycle valves 100%.
In general, maximum acid recycle rates and minimum acid residence time promote
better Alkylate product quality, and decrease the potential for polymerization. Net
effect of implementing these steps is $5.3 MM$/yr due to reduced acid consumption
and lower endpoint.
Operations began lowering settler levels and opening acid recycle valves in
February. Progress on this effort will be reported in the next bi monthly

The Importance of Music and Movements Towards Early...
Issue :The Importance of Music and Movement and How Much it Contributes to the
Early Childhood Development
This is a writing on the issue of the importance of music and how it contributes
towards the early childhood development. Reading five and more articles and
journals on this issue, I have to agree that music and movements contributes to the
child s total development: psychomotor, perceptual, affective, cognitive, social,
cultural and aesthetic. According to Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner (1983),
music intelligence is equal in importance to logical mathematical intelligence,
linguistic intelligence, spatial intelligence, bodily kinesthetic intelligence,
interpersonal intelligence, and intrapersonal intelligence. ... Show more content on

To go along in the mission of encouraging music in children, teachers must be
creative enough to plan activities that will attract the children to participate and
enjoy. Action songs like; You Put Your Right Hands In, Making Melodies In My
Heart, I m a Little Teapot, Humpty Dumpty, Saya Seekor Gajah, P. Ramlee songs
like, Tanya Sama Pokok, Nenek Si Bongkok Tiga and etc is way to encourage
children to involve actively in musical games and play, besides developing children
s motor skills, hand eye coordination as well as coordination of body parts. Besides
songs and rhymes, teachers can also use fast or slow rhythmic music tunes and
encourage the kinesthetic learners, who find it easier to learn through actions than
via words alone. To make the session more interesting, teacher can think of some
props like, scarf, pong pong, hula hoop, musical instruments, and so on. While
singing and teaching songs in the playground, teachers are encouraged to model loud
and joyful singing and dancing with the children. Failure to develop competence in
fundamental skills of movement may result in a poor body image(Green, 2001).
Music in Language Development. Music can definitely foster the language
development in children. First of all in a multi cultural society like Malaysia, we are
rich with multi languages and norms. Teacher must help the children to come to
sense that
Natsume Soseki s Kokoro
Few novels dare to touch the inner vulnerability of humankind. It is Soseki s
Kokoro that captures the essence of friendship and loneliness, truth and betrayal,
and life and death. The novel is, after all, about human nature. Any one reading this
powerful work will quickly relate to the characters who go through tremendous
strife, personal changes and much reflection. While Kokoro was written in Japan
many years ago, it may be valuable to a reader even in contemporary society as its
attributes may be embraced today, despite its age and cultural focus. Natsume
Soseki s Kokoro explores a great deal of subject matter. Several themes are woven
into the pages of this older novel. It is fair to say, at least based on a personal
experience, that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A sense of betrayal and sadness permeate the work and create a void. After all, things
were going quite well in the world of friendship and male bonding until the young
student s mentor of sorts would commit this ultimate act.
This story is about one man s journey through self realization and the revelations he
makes after befriending a man. In one way, it is more about a personal journey than
about a relationship. What is most troubling, and lends the work a somber tone, is the
main character s loneliness, yet another theme illustrated in this novel. In some way,
Sensei helps to break through that barrier. After K s suicide, he realized the atrocities
of his actions and the heinous development of his character from diligent student to
human betrayer. After much time of personal torment, K confided in him of his
love for Ojasan. Why Sensai seemed surprised as to the context of the confession
somewhat confuses the reader as clearly anyone could have seen that K was also in
love with her, in fact, surely Sensai knew, but he reclined to a state of denial. He
states, I felt as if I had been turned into stone by a magician s wand. I could not even
move my lips as K had done (205).
As Sensai came to understand it was he who was responsible for the death of this
man, he felt he had no choice but to cease all human actions and remain an outcast in
society, secluding himself to his home and his wife. Surely, no one could understand
what he had done or what he had
Gucci s Brand And Corporate Social Responsibility Essay
Gucci is a multinational fashion brand based in Italy. The brand specialises in
leather goods, clothes, and fashion accessories for both and women aged between
24 and 30 years. Gucci was founded in 1921 in Florence, Italy by Guccio Gucci
(Gucci Official Site United States, 2016). The main purpose of this paper is to
provide an in depth brandanalysis of Gucci. The paper will investigate and evaluate
Gucci s vales and identity, and will discuss how successfully these are reflected by
Gucci s business model, supply chain management, and Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) activities. In addition to that, the paper will critically evaluate
Gucci s brand identity (identity) in relation to its brand image (external).

According to Gucci Official Site United States (2016), Gucci is a progressive,
innovative, and influential brand aimed at reinventing fashion in the 21st century.
Their products are romantic, contemporary, and eccentric that portray the finest
Italian dexterity. Gucci s products are known for their premium looks along with their
best quality. Hoang (2016) mentioned that, Gucci reflects its premium brand value by
maintaining a perfect balance between the brand s status as a leading fashion
company and its Italian heritage. Gucci s values and brand identity can be described
in three phrases: Italian craftsmanship, creativity, and quality. According to

There Are Many Different Forms Of Child Sexual Abuse.
Sexual
There are many different forms of child sexual abuse. Sexual abuse can be
perpetrated by a relative or a stranger. But the most common of sexual abuse is
committed by a beloved relative. Ratican (1992) defines childhood sexual abuse is a
sexual act performed over and over between an adult and child (1992). The effects of
childhood sexual abusecan last into adulthood and effect the way that a person thinks
or their outlook of life.
The effect of this act has a negative impact on the psychological pattern of a person.
Victims may feel in distress and show a wide range of change in psychological
symptoms, both long and short term. Some short terms problems that a child may

But they fell that molestation is not a form of CSA because it is a non contact
sexual behavior. But because it frightens, shocks and sexual rewarding to the
perpetrator, it is categorized as such; even though they feel that it shouldn t effect
a child s brain in long term. It is widely accepted that a sexual relationship between
an adult and child is abuse regardless of consent. Children are not able to consent;
so therefore, adults are abusing their authority over a child. The key issue in
defining sexual abuse is that they look at the age gap between the two persons.
Where the person is old enough to give consent, but the age gap is significantly large
it is still considered child sexual abuse. Looking at research of CSA, majority of it is
focused on women, and few attempts looked into among men. But preliminary
work suggests that long term effects are different in men and women, so they
solemnly focus on women more. The difficultly with the abuse is that victims don
t feel the need to come forward. Broadly speaking there are two concerns. First,
there is the issue of whether or not some reports of sexual abuse are fantasies or
fabrications. A second issue is whether the memories or events are valid in the
length of time that it takes a child or parent to come forward. So they would like for

Alain De Botton Analysis
Who is de Botton? Who is Alain de Botton? He s often known for his book, The
Consolations of Philosophy, but behind this façade, who is he really? From my
point of view, de Botton is an arrogant, self righteous man. Throughout both his
book and a video clip, Seneca on anger , in Philosophy a Guide to Happiness, de
Botton seems to have rather passive aggressive tendencies. Throughout his book,
he gives advice on how you can change your life to make yourself a better person.
But is he really one to tell others how to live their lives? How do we know that he
has any experience or has the know how to guide anyone through the process of
bettering themselves? One way to analyze this is to look into who de Botton really
is outside of his writing. Is the book, The Consolations of Philosophy, simply a get
rich quick scheme that he has created? To see my analysis, let s first take a look at
one of his largest flaws.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

they had the wisest things to say about the areas of life I had always found rather
problematic (spookybuk). This quote brings everything back to de Botton s point of
view. Throughout the book these were his issues, he took the information that he
found useful to get over dilemmas and skewed them. Yes, these ancient philosophers
did have valid points in which de Botton brought to the surface, but he went one step
further and skewed the information, giving them a whole new meaning. He then
seems to preach his ideals and, within a self help book, pushes people to change
their life styles to match his. I feel as if he is militant with his

A Brief Note On Coronary Artery Disease Prevention
Coronary artery bypasses surgery, percutaneous angioplasty stent, aspirin use,
cholesterol lowering therapies, and increased awareness of coronary artery disease
prevention are the main strategies for the preventive treatment of SCD [166]. As the
main etiology behind coronary artery ischemia is the plaque rupture, methods to
prevent plaque rupture, plaque stabilization, decreasing plaque formation and
searching risk markers for sudden plaque rupture should be discovered. The role of
cholesterol in SCD have been studied in many studies and there are both kind of
results, some suggesting its significant role [39, 167] while other without any

This different expression of cell cycle regulatory proteins may be responsible for
apoptosis of vascular smooth muscle cell and plaque destabilization [171]. Rao et
al studied the mechanism of plaque rupture in carotids and proposed the
mechanism by which EGFR activation induced MMP 1 and MMP 9 decreases the
interstitial collagen causing plaque instability and increased vulnerability of
plaque rupture, paving a future direction for translational approach of this concept
for the prevention of myocardial infarction. It was also proposed that for plaque
stabilization, selective blockade of EGFR and MMP 9 may be a promising
strategy [172]. Identification of specific markers indicating a plaque prone to
rupture and risk predictors for plaque rupture is an interesting area for further
research. Currently we are working on the role of HMGB 1, RAGE, ENRAGE,
TLR 4, TREM 1, TREM 2, MMP 1 and MMP 9 in plaque stability and destabilization
in carotid artery. Acute unstable arrhythmias should be treated with external
defibrillator according to ACLS algorithm and it has been suggested that biphasic
waveform defibrillation is more effective than monophasic defibrillation[173].
Treating the patient s arrhythmia in hospital is a secondary prevention but as the

The biggest thing that stands out to me when I read that question is the Parallax
assignment. When we started that assignment I was so confused, and lost I just
didn t understand it. But when we were done with it I took the most out of that
assignment than any other one. My first example is the answer to the question we
answered at the beginning, and I had no idea what to put so I answered with one
word, again hoping out of pure luck I would be right. If you were to ask me what is
parallax? I would probably stare blankly with no idea what it was, and at the end of
the assignment I could tell you almost anything about it. My second example is how
well my parallax summary turned out, and even my graph. I completely understand
how when the distance to an object increases the observed parallax decreases. I
think the moment I understood everything was when I held up my thumb straight
out in front of me, closed one eye and then the next. I know, it sounds dumb but that
intrigued me into the assignment, when a little part of me finally understood it. My
notebook helped me have everything right in front of me opposed to searching for
multiple papers. Being a visual learner scared me going into high school until I had
the opportunity to see everything at once. In all honesty the one thing that would
improve my notebook would be motivation to myself. If I don t want to answer those

No Tolerance For A Lack Of Maternity Leave
Zero Tolerance For A Lack Of Maternity Leave Whenever we hear a story on the
news of a woman or her family struggling because they re being refused maternity
leave it breaks our hearts. These women, expecting mothers, have to carry or have
carried a child for roughly 9 months. Most if not all have done so by being on their
feet all day and have only had the required minimum for breaks. Is it then wrong to
ask for maternity leave? Should pregnant women not be allowed some work
accommodations? Well, contrary to popular belief, maternity leave is more than
just a time for a woman s gestation period or relaxation. In a country with a
population of more than 308 million women I think maternity should be a right.
So, then who is to blame for the lack of maternity leave? The answer: male bosses.
It s thanks to these bosses that once women are mothers, they have to go back to
work as soon as possible. All these new mothers are told by their male bosses that
they are expected back as soon as they can. These men allow little to no maternity
leave for women in the work force. And I think we can all agree that this is a serious
issue for our nation. There must be a solution to this detrimental illness afflicting our
country. Which is why I have proposed a solution that will benefit not only women
but our whole nation. If male bosses are forced to wear maternity belts they will feel
sympathetic to the struggles of pregnant women. They in turn will be motivated to
give paid maternity

members of our society, that deserve respect, don t receive it. This was often the
case in the past for women, as they were not treated equally to men. Yet the women
of these times had a lot of value, especially compared to the praise they were given.
Two examples of women of this quality are O lan from The Good Earth, and the
Virtuous womanfrom Proverbs 31:10 31. Both O lan and The Virtuous Woman have
many similarities and a few differences. Both of them provide a lot of value in the
relationships that they are a part of, both romantically and platonically. These woman
are both models that not only women, but all people should aspire to be like.... Show

For example, neither of them need to be spoiled. O lan spends much of her life in
poverty, from her early days as a slave to the days of her and Wang Lung begging
in the streets. This parallels The Virtuous Woman, when she is described in
Proverbs 31:11 12 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall
have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
This verse shows that The Virtuous Woman is like O lan in respect to her humility
and acceptance of life. Another way that these characters are similar is there
tendency to give to their families. O lan and the virtuous woman always make sure
that their family are taken care of. These good qualities are shared between the two
characters, highlighting both of their
Compare And Contrast Avengers Vs Dc.
Over the years in the world of comics there has been a major rivalry between
Marvel Studios and DC. Both studios have put out amazing content and are the top
in Superhero creation. However, there s always the question of which one is
better. There are two teams, Marvel s Avengers and DC s Justice League. Each
team has multiple members, and it s always been a debate on which team would
come out victorious. In a battle between the Avengers and the Justice League who
would win based on the heroes individual skills? In order to find out how a battle
between the two groups would happen we split the two teams into six different
pairs. Each hero was pit against someone who would have a similar skill set or
power level as them. After the sets were created, we then began to find out each
character s individual skills. Assessing the strengths and weaknesses of each hero
against the other created a modest guess on who would win the battle. This is based
solely on the skills of each character and does not factor in battle areas or if the teams
were to fight against each other together.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Superman is an iconic symbol even to people who have never seen the movies or
read the comics. Superman, or Clark Kent is an alien from the planet Krypton who
fights for Earth and all the humans who live there. From his strength to his speed
and even being able to fly Superman is superhuman in everything he does. However,
Superman has a few glaring weaknesses. Krypton is a radioactive particle from
Krypton that weakens Superman to the point of being human. Despite being from
another planet Krypton doesn t appear that hard to collect by people who have the

Greek Religion And Public Life In Ancient Greece
The Greek people had many things they were proud of for evolving as their era
began to pick up steam. The things they were well known for were their religious
beliefs and their philosophies. Though both were pivotal for the Greek people, these
two areas were very different.
Greek Religion To the Greeks, religion, was a major part of their private and public
life every day. Greek religion was big on public rituals, community festivals, showed
great community pride, and was big on their heritage. Their religion was more public
than private. Their religion was divided up into two categories. The Olympian deities
whom they felt dwelled in the skies or mountaintops. Olympian religion felt that the
deities intercede in daily activities, and that

Investigating the Relationship between Cell Size and Rate of Diffusion
Ban Madi
11 Dp Biology SL
Research Question: How does the size of the cell affect its efficiency in exchanging
substances through several ways, like diffusion?
Aim: To plan and carry out an investigation to show the relationship between volume/
Cm3, surface area, and diffusion using agar cubes measured in time/s; and to
demonstrate, using diffusion, why the size of cells is limited, keeping the room
temperature and pressure constant.
Hypothesis: I expect to find that when the surface area to volume of a cell reaches a
certain level, diffusion alone won t be able to supply ... Show more content on

Conclusion:
The experiment proved my hypothesis correct that as the size of the Agar cube
grows larger; the diffusion rate will be slower therefore taking up more time. The
cubes were put into hydrochloric acid and left by, in order to exchange materials
through diffusion, as a sample of cells in real life. As we can see the cube with the
largest surface area and volume has the smallest surface area to volume ratio. If the
surface area to volume ratio gets too small, then the substances won t be able to
enter the cell fast enough to fuel the reactions, because the surface area controls
the rate of the exchange of materials while as the volume grows larger it will need
more materials to enter and exit, in a more quicker rate, therefore waste products
will start to accumulate within the cell as they will be produced faster than they
can be excreted. In addition, the cells will not be able to lose heat fast enough and
so may overheat. This was concluded from the experiment, where as the Agar cube
dimension were larger, the rate of diffusion was much smaller from the Agar cube
with the smaller dimension, where the last had a larger V: SA ratio than the larger
cube.
Errors and Improvements:

What Is The Social Implications Of Bram Stoker s Dracula
Bram Stoker s Dracula: A View of the Victorian Era and its Social Ideologies For
my research project, I chose Bram Stoker and his work Dracula, and the social
implications that came with the story. Not only are vampires a relevant topic to
today s youth due to other books, movies, etc., but Stoker s Draculahas stayed
prevalent to the changing times. No matter how many different takes there are on
Bram Stokers legendary novel, the timeless classic ness of his work is never lost. I
wanted to do Stoker s Dracula to get a better appreciation of the novel and to have a
better idea on how much social implications have changed and how much vampire
folk lore has changed over the decades. I think the topic itself is really interesting,
and I hope to learn more about Stoker, Dracula, and the Victorian Era s views on
society and how people acted.
Born in Clontarf, Ireland, near Dublin, on November 8, 1847, Abraham (Bram)
Stoker was an extremely prominent writer, whose works still have value to the
literature community in this day and age. Stoker had many hobbies and interests
before becoming a writer, some of which include athletics, biographer, journalist, and
theater critic and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The clean and chaste women in the story are considered heroines of the story, while
those who were not were depicted as villainous and devilish. In the story, the Count
turns Lucy, a normally innocent young woman, into an exceedingly sexual vampire.
Just her sexuality is described as The sweetness was turned to... heartless cruelty, and
the purity to voluptuous wantonness... (pg. 187)(Humphrey) It seems that, as Count
Dracula changes who Lucy is, Stoker is showing the effortlessness, capability, and
potential in which the ideal Victorian woman can be transformed into the evil,
unchaste, impure, sexual woman of Victorian society.

Marketing MA Management and International Business
Introduction
CRM is a term for methodologists, technologies and e commerce capabilities used by
companies to manage customer relationships.
(Foss, 2001:1) It is also called customer management, customer care and sometimes
customer centricity or customer centric management.
(Brown, 2000:1)
All the names and definitions of CRM have customer, as its core it is the
management of customer relationships, which attempts to revolutionize marketing
and reshape entire business models.
To survive and grow the business must make a profit. To make a profit it has to find
people who are willing to pay more for its products/services than they cost. Therefore

It is the result of the company creating such conditions for the customer so that the
latter continue to purchase from the organization preferably for lifetime. For retailers
the benefits of having loyal customer base are enormous.
These are just few of them:
1. Companies can boost profits by almost 100 percent by retaining just 5 percent
more of their customers ( Reichheld, 1996)
2. It costs much less to keep a customer than it does to recruit one.
3. Advertising costs are reduced. A loyal customer acts as an advocate of the
company and helps attract new customers. (Word of mouth advertising) (Lecture
notes, 2004)
The question is: Can the customer loyalty be created and retained for life these days?
or
Is the loyalty a Holy Grail and the retailers can only achieve a slight margin of
preference for certain time?
A small survey into the types of consumers according to their degree of loyalty, the
loyalty schemes with its advantages and drawbacks will possibly shed more light into
this topic.
According to J.Cross (2004) there are four main types of customers:
1. Switchers
In any market there are customers who are loyal to the suppliers

  • 1. Essay For Macbeth Crafting an essay on the topic of Macbeth can be both a challenging and rewarding endeavor. Shakespeare's play is rich with complex characters, intricate plotlines, and profound themes, making it a fertile ground for analysis. However, navigating through the dense layers of the text, deciphering the motivations of the characters, and extracting meaningful insights require careful consideration and a deep understanding of literary elements. One of the challenges lies in interpreting the character of Macbeth himself. His psychological transformation from a loyal warrior to a power-hungry tyrant is a nuanced journey that demands careful examination. Unraveling the web of ambition, guilt, and moral decay that defines Macbeth's character adds an extra layer of difficulty to the writing process. Additionally, delving into the themes presented in Macbeth, such as the nature of ambition, the consequences of unchecked power, and the impact of guilt, requires a thoughtful exploration of the text's subtleties. Drawing connections between these themes and the broader human experience is essential for creating a well-rounded and compelling essay. Moreover, the sheer volume of existing scholarship on Macbeth can be overwhelming. Navigating through the multitude of critical analyses, interpretations, and academic discussions can be a daunting task for anyone attempting to contribute a fresh perspective to the discourse. History The word, parole, derives from the French parole meaning word of honor and references prisoners of war promising not to take up arms in current conflict if released. Probation has antecedents that reach back to biblical times, its American history dates to the nineteenth century. The concept of probation from the Latin probation, meaning period of proving. Evolved out of the practice of judicial reprieve, used in English courts to serve as a temporary suspension of sentence to allow a defendant to appeal to the crown for a pardon. • 7. The Historical Voices Of Opera The Historical Voices of Opera: From 1500 century to new Milieumn For over thousands of years, Opera has become one of the greatest musical forms. By early 1600 s, Opera has made a major expansion all over Europe. Many singers were very skillful and challenged of any vocal genre. Also, by this time the audience didn t just come and see actors/actress play theatrical roles, they wanted to hear the sweet sound of the leading voices. Mostly, the high vocal range parts stole the show. Between 1590 to 1900, the Castrati (male sopranos) played the leading roles as the heroines, hero and villains, but it will take decades for women to arise from the religious and political views which caused restriction on all opera houses to ban all women to participate on stage. Like women, soon the rise for the castrate singers will decline and restrictions to participate on stage will come into effect. There are four similarities between both sexes that causes a rise and fall effect in the operatic form. First similarity is the history of the opera. According to John Brister, before the existence of opera, each nationality has used boys, falsettos, or eunuchs as singers to entertain and worship. Even though their voices admired by a historical point of view, the falsetto and the eunuch didn t have appropriate signature or sound to continue. Eventually, the Spanish and Roman church used castrati s in 1577 1578. They carried a lighter tone similar to a woman s voice. Nonetheless,

There are other methods that may be used to investigate growth rates of bacteria, and these include filtration, measuring turbidity with a colorimeter or spectrophotometer, and using the most probable number method (Reikowski, 2013). 4.When beginning a culture of S. pneumonia with one cell at 9 a.m., the amount of cells that will be present by noon is equal to 64 cells. If you were to begin this experiment by 6:30 p.m., 20 generations will have passed (60 minutes x 10 hours = 600. 600 / 20 generations = 30 minute generation time.) If this culture is left indefinitely, logarithmic growth will only be maintained for a limited time. This is a result of the increase in the number of organisms and a decrease in nutrients, accumulation of metabolic waste, limited living space, and oxygen depletion. Limiting factor for logarithmic growth is the rate of which energy can be produced in the form of ATP. As nutrient availability decreases, cells are less able to generate ATP and their growth rate significantly decreases. This decreased growth

This quote is immensely true you should always be true to yourself and you shouldn t envy people you don t really know that much about. You should stay true to yourself because if you want to imitate someone who are killing yourself figuratively. How is your inner self alive if you don t display it no one knows who you really are so your soul is dead to others. Although the Blue Crab is well established within its ecosystem it is highly sensitive to environmental and habitat changes ( Blue Crab, Maryland State Crustacean , 2016). The detrimental conditions of the Chesapeake Bay have affected the populations of Blue Crabs along with over harvesting. Life Cycle The life cycle of a Blue Crab involves Zoeae, Megalops, Juveniles, and Adulthood (Zinski, 2006) ( Blue Crab Life Cycle, 2016). Mating occurs only once for female crabs. Female crabs undergo a pubertal mold which is indicative of a sexually mature state in their life cycle. During the pubertal molt females release pheromones which attract males. The actual ritual of mating does not occur until females molt their shells (Zinski, 2006). At which point females will then retreat to high salinity water to begin spawning. Spawning will occur for the first time 2 9 months after mating. Interestingly, males will protect females during the period which females have molted and it is at this point in which mating occurs (Hill, 2004). As previously mentioned Blue Crabs are highly susceptible to changes in environmental conditions. As an example, larvae require high salinity waters. Larvae require salinity of at least 20 ppt and below that threshold, there is poor likelihood of survival ability.

The newer models of televisions contain plasma in their screens. Plasma screens are made up of groups of cells called pixels. These pixels are composed of three sub pixels that consist of three different colors; green, red, and blue. This technology uses a plasma etching system which is a type of plasma processing mainly used in fabricating integrated circuits. The process involves shooting a gas mixture of glow discharge or plasma towards a sample at very high speeds. (The Canadian News). The plasma, in gas state, reacts with phosphors in the television panel s sub pixels to create colored light in green, red, or blue. A phosphor is a synthetic fluorescent or phosphorescent substance. The phosphors used are comparable to the ones used in traditional Cathode Ray Tube televisions and computer monitors. Cathode Ray tubes are a high vacuum tube in which cathode rays produce a luminous image on a fluorescent screen. • 14. The Pros And Cons Of The Manhattan Project Throughout the Roosevelt administration and later through the Truman administration, it became clear that both had the distinct focus of ending World War II at the earliest possible time. This is a common theme identified throughout J. Samuel Walker s Prompt and Utter Destruction. While some countries had put moderate effort into researching atomic power and how it could affect the war, the United States was the only country capable of putting full effort into researching and creating an atomic bomb that could be utilized during the war. Following warnings from scientists that informed Roosevelt of the possibility of the Germans making progress on their knowledge of nuclear energy, Roosevelt assigned a lofty and difficult project to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This project soon became known as the Manhattan Projectdue to the engineer district that was formed to design and build this bomb being originally headquartered in New York. The Manhattan Project was established at a time in the war when the United States was uncertain of its outcome. After the first successful, self sustaining nuclear chain reaction took place in a squash court at the University of Chicago, the idea of an atomic bomb became more feasible. However, while the idea became more feasible, the transition from experimental knowledge to designing an actual bomb was a huge step that involved many uncertainties and troubles. Although the Manhattan Project was formed during a period of uncertainty, the government had high hopes of the newly formed project, but despite these high hopes, the Manhattan Project faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles as it moved from experimental knowledge to designing the bomb, the most prominent being the design for the new technology and the role the bomb would play in the realm of global diplomacy. As the engineers and scientists of the Manhattan Project began further research on the creation of the atomic bomb, they quickly ran into one of their first major problems. Making nuclear fuel to power the bomb quickly proved to be a major predicament. The Clinton Engineer Works, later renamed Oak Ridge, was established in Tennessee to specifically address the fuel research needed to operate the atomic

This concern is unnecessary because the hind milk, the milk that a baby gets at the end of a nursing session, is higher in calories than that at the beginning, and tends to make a baby feel full (Eisenberg, Murkoff, and Hathaway 4). Some women choose not to breast feed because they have heard the common myth that breast feeding causes jaundice, or excess bilirubin in the skin that causes a baby to look yellow (Lim 70). This belief is unfounded. Breast feeding is actually the best thing that you could do for a jaundice baby because colostrum, the rich fluid that comes in before your milk, actually acts as a laxative to help the baby pass meconium, a baby s first bowel movement, which is high in bilirubin (Lim 70). It said that humans mattered and that now mattered, that one should not be part of a whole but rather someone that is unique. Coluccio Salutati, Leonardo Bruni, and Poggio Bracciolini used rhetorical skills to encourage Florentines to revolt against the aggression of Naples and Milan. Both Bruni and Poggio wrote flattering histories of the city. Leon Battista Alberti, another accomplished humanist scholar, was a noted Florentine architect and builder. Another change that occurred during the Italian Renaissance was the artistic perspective of this world. People were no longer painting two dimensional art, and non logical portraits. A new technique, chiaroscuros a technique that involved light and shadows, gave their paintings more depth and a realistic imagery. They also made their paintings more realistic by making the objects relative to one another. They emphasised emotions and belief in a universe full of harmony. By encouraging

Confucianism can be found once more in this strategy as the goal was to kill as few people as possible, since the goal of warfare wasn t to kill people. Sun tzu favored a primary objective of subjugating other states without fighting thus diplomatic coercion was the idea method. He stressed avoiding prolonged warfare. He wrote, Thus the army values being victorious; it does not value prolonged warfare. This meant maximizing the results with minimum destruction that is inflicted. The writers like Wei Liao tzu focused on speed, deception, concentration of force, assaulting weak points while avoiding strengths as strategic ways of forcing the opponent to acquiesce. Brute force warfare was disdain for a maneuver that provided a quick end to a conflict thus achieving the desired goals without excess killing. Confucian ideals permeate through the military texts and the five tenets analyzed as examples of the relationship between the military texts and Confucianism. The writers of these texts were bound culturally to the Confucian ideals as they wrote the texts. This relationship emphasized peace more than pacifism. Benevolence and righteousness can be seen through the various examples showing how the Confucian view of life was adhered to in these military
  • 26. Alkite Synthesis On 1/7, the Alky started to only process FCCU BB and no longer process Coker BB. Alkylation chemistry neither likes contaminants nor diluents. Contaminants are direct acid consumers. The more contaminants in the feed, the more often the unit will be at an acid constraint. Diluents do not reaction in alkylationchemistry but they take up space and decrease the effective area for isobutane and olefin to contact. With less contact, side reactions like polymerization are more likely to occur; polymerization reactions are a direct acid consumer. Comparing the FCCU and Coker BB, Coker BB contains far more contaminants and diluents than FCCU BB (see Table 2, pg.4). By lowering the amount of contaminants and diluents, acid consumption was reduced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The best way to decrease acid residence time is by lowering the level in the settlers. PAR has abnormally high settler levels (45 60% vs. typical 15 20%). The acid consumption impact of running at the appropriate levels in the settler is 0.15 lb /gal or 1.3 MM$/yr in savings (1.1 MM$/yr at cooling constraint and 1.3 MM$/yr at acid constraint). Process Support recommends maintaining a level of 15 20% in C and A settler and a level of 40% in B settler. B settler should be run higher than C or A because of risk of sending lighter hydrocarbons to the spent acid tank. 3.Emulsion recycle Emulsion recycle minimizes undesirable side reactions, such as polymerization, in the acid settler by keeping the olefins and alkyl sulfates (esters) in contact with isobutane. This results in improved Alkylate quality with reduced acid consumption. Process Support recommends opening all emulsion recycle valves 100%. In general, maximum acid recycle rates and minimum acid residence time promote better Alkylate product quality, and decrease the potential for polymerization. Net effect of implementing these steps is $5.3 MM$/yr due to reduced acid consumption and lower endpoint. Operations began lowering settler levels and opening acid recycle valves in February. Progress on this effort will be reported in the next bi monthly

Issue :The Importance of Music and Movement and How Much it Contributes to the Early Childhood Development This is a writing on the issue of the importance of music and how it contributes towards the early childhood development. Reading five and more articles and journals on this issue, I have to agree that music and movements contributes to the child s total development: psychomotor, perceptual, affective, cognitive, social, cultural and aesthetic. According to Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner (1983), music intelligence is equal in importance to logical mathematical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, spatial intelligence, bodily kinesthetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, and intrapersonal intelligence. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To go along in the mission of encouraging music in children, teachers must be creative enough to plan activities that will attract the children to participate and enjoy. Action songs like; You Put Your Right Hands In, Making Melodies In My Heart, I m a Little Teapot, Humpty Dumpty, Saya Seekor Gajah, P. Ramlee songs like, Tanya Sama Pokok, Nenek Si Bongkok Tiga and etc is way to encourage children to involve actively in musical games and play, besides developing children s motor skills, hand eye coordination as well as coordination of body parts. Besides songs and rhymes, teachers can also use fast or slow rhythmic music tunes and encourage the kinesthetic learners, who find it easier to learn through actions than via words alone. To make the session more interesting, teacher can think of some props like, scarf, pong pong, hula hoop, musical instruments, and so on. While singing and teaching songs in the playground, teachers are encouraged to model loud and joyful singing and dancing with the children. Failure to develop competence in fundamental skills of movement may result in a poor body image(Green, 2001). Music in Language Development. Music can definitely foster the language development in children. First of all in a multi cultural society like Malaysia, we are rich with multi languages and norms. Teacher must help the children to come to sense that

This story is about one man s journey through self realization and the revelations he makes after befriending a man. In one way, it is more about a personal journey than about a relationship. What is most troubling, and lends the work a somber tone, is the main character s loneliness, yet another theme illustrated in this novel. In some way, Sensei helps to break through that barrier. After K s suicide, he realized the atrocities of his actions and the heinous development of his character from diligent student to human betrayer. After much time of personal torment, K confided in him of his love for Ojasan. Why Sensai seemed surprised as to the context of the confession somewhat confuses the reader as clearly anyone could have seen that K was also in love with her, in fact, surely Sensai knew, but he reclined to a state of denial. He states, I felt as if I had been turned into stone by a magician s wand. I could not even move my lips as K had done (205). As Sensai came to understand it was he who was responsible for the death of this man, he felt he had no choice but to cease all human actions and remain an outcast in society, secluding himself to his home and his wife. Surely, no one could understand what he had done or what he had

It is widely accepted that a sexual relationship between an adult and child is abuse regardless of consent. Children are not able to consent; so therefore, adults are abusing their authority over a child. The key issue in defining sexual abuse is that they look at the age gap between the two persons. Where the person is old enough to give consent, but the age gap is significantly large it is still considered child sexual abuse. No Tolerance For A Lack Of Maternity Leave Zero Tolerance For A Lack Of Maternity Leave Whenever we hear a story on the news of a woman or her family struggling because they re being refused maternity leave it breaks our hearts. These women, expecting mothers, have to carry or have carried a child for roughly 9 months. Most if not all have done so by being on their feet all day and have only had the required minimum for breaks. Is it then wrong to ask for maternity leave? Should pregnant women not be allowed some work accommodations? Well, contrary to popular belief, maternity leave is more than just a time for a woman s gestation period or relaxation. In a country with a population of more than 308 million women I think maternity should be a right. So, then who is to blame for the lack of maternity leave? The answer: male bosses. It s thanks to these bosses that once women are mothers, they have to go back to work as soon as possible. All these new mothers are told by their male bosses that they are expected back as soon as they can. These men allow little to no maternity leave for women in the work force. And I think we can all agree that this is a serious issue for our nation. There must be a solution to this detrimental illness afflicting our country. Which is why I have proposed a solution that will benefit not only women but our whole nation. If male bosses are forced to wear maternity belts they will feel sympathetic to the struggles of pregnant women. They in turn will be motivated to give paid maternity

Conclusion: The experiment proved my hypothesis correct that as the size of the Agar cube grows larger; the diffusion rate will be slower therefore taking up more time. The cubes were put into hydrochloric acid and left by, in order to exchange materials through diffusion, as a sample of cells in real life. As we can see the cube with the largest surface area and volume has the smallest surface area to volume ratio. If the surface area to volume ratio gets too small, then the substances won t be able to enter the cell fast enough to fuel the reactions, because the surface area controls the rate of the exchange of materials while as the volume grows larger it will need more materials to enter and exit, in a more quicker rate, therefore waste products will start to accumulate within the cell as they will be produced faster than they can be excreted. In addition, the cells will not be able to lose heat fast enough and so may overheat. This was concluded from the experiment, where as the Agar cube dimension were larger, the rate of diffusion was much smaller from the Agar cube with the smaller dimension, where the last had a larger V: SA ratio than the larger cube.
