Communication And Communication
Conversation is such an important element when forming relationships with others and is needed
when bringing communities together. In order to establish communities, you need people who are able
to create bonds with one another through similar interests, common goals, and anything that can stir
up simple conversations. It sounds easy to talk to people, but most of the time, conversation is a lot
more complex than it sounds. In order to have conversation, we need to put aside our internal conflicts
that we all are guilty of having; such as stereotyping, putting our emotions first, and not listening to
other peoples opinions. Environment, people, topic, and many other characteristics are crucial in order
to have a good conversation. Communities have been bonded throughout the years by conversation,
but how we communicate has changed and continues to change as time progresses. Communication
can be done in multiple ways. You can have a face to face dialogue with people, call someone, text,
facetime, email; the ways these days are endless. These types of connections were not around when
the adults of this generation were younger, but the teenagers now are part of an era where technology
is major and available when wanting to speak to people. Some people will say those who overuse cell
phones are fleeing from conversation and can change who we are (Turkle). While you can perhaps
have an opinion on today s society being overly technical, you cannot conclude that

(Insert Title) In a decade that will be surely known as one of grand feminist success it seems
worthwhile mentioning that prostitution is a new feminist issue. According to Women Have the Rights
many sex workers and feminist activists see the decriminalization of prostitution as a human rights
initiative for women to regain control over their bodies. These third wave feminists find sex an issue
that should be more widely discussed. Large leaps in pornography such as female filmmakers and
feminist porn stars point to an ideal that consensual sex work is just another fore front in the battle for
gender equality. Legalization of prostitution leads to more government oversight requiring ... Show

Prostitution flourishes in territories that have a high crime rate, along these lines, cops and courts are
overburdened with these cases, having next to zero effect on prostitution. The sex workers and their
clients pay their fines and are back to the boulevards right away in a rotating door process. Law
enforcement is occupied with adding prostitution to the rundown of things to shield us from, the
genuine violations go unchecked and unchallenged. Not with standing if prostitution were legitimate,
police would have less work attempting to dispose of prostitution and additional time shielding people
from far more heinous crimes. It is estimated that if prostitution were legalized in the United States,
the rape rate would decrease by roughly 25% for a decrease of approximately 25,000 rapes per year.
The analysis seems to support that the rape rate could be lowered if prostitution was more readily
available. This would be accomplished in most countries by its legalization (Sexual Violence Such as
Rape). On the off chance that prostitution ends up distinctly lawful, it must be directed for the
wellbeing of the worker and customer. Since prostitution is illicit it has been

Happy Gilmore Character Analysis
Happy Gilmore is a comedic 90 s movie about the transition from an ineffective hockey player to a
talented golfer. This is a 1996 film, Adam Sandler, who portrays Happy Gilmore faces few obstacles
when learning how to play golf. The reason why he joins a golf tournament was that he needed the
money to save his grandmother s house. His grandmother has not pay taxes for past 10 years so she
owed $270,00 otherwise her home would be lost. Happy Gilmore is a naïve and absurd character that
struggles with anger issues but later learns how to deal with it through dumb childish humor.
Throughout the golf tournament, he has a nemesis, Shooter Mcgavin, who is arrogant that gets jealous
at Happy Gilmore for his hidden talent at golf. Although Gilmore has serious anger issues, his
patience and dedication teach the audience that one s passion is not always something one is good at.
One of the eye catching concepts that are hard to miss is Happy s aggression in sports. He is either
yelling, cursing, fighting or attacking someone throughout this film. At the beginning of the film when
he was trying out for the hockey team, there is a scene where he loses his temper. He didn t make the
team so he attacked the coach for being cut. Then there is the scene when he is mad at his girlfriend so
he yells at her but then changes to innocent sad boyfriend voice and just kept switching off between
those two personas. This was very interesting to watch because he was two different characters since

Jonas Salk Vaccine
Our world to this day has been impacted so much by many different heros of all different types. One
such hero is Jonas Salk, the creator of the vaccines for polio and influenza. Salk became a cultivator of
modern medicine by creating a vaccine that saved countless lives without the benefit of modern
technology.
Jonas Salk was born in 1914, a time in which childhood disease and illness was great and commonly
led to death. He grew up into a wealthy family and was the first of his siblings to graduate college.
Salk went to college and intended study law but became interested in medical science. There were no
known cures for major illnesses such as influenza and polio. In 1939, Salk became a scientist
physician and a short time later began conducting research on cures for major illnesses, which later led
to a great amount of success.
In 1942, Salk was first called on to begin researching and conducting experiments on an illness called
influenza, also known as the flu. Influenza is a disease that is highly contagious and almost like a
common cold but more severe. It usually affects the respiratory system and left untreated can lead to
death. This disease was very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Salk used a vaccine that was called a non infectious or, a killed virus vaccine. Jonas s method was
called tissue culture. Tissue culture was the process of injecting a child or adult with the virus and
attempting to come up with a way to deactivate the virus, without harming or injuring the patient in
the process. Although technology has taken over, Salk found a way to cure diseases without using
technology. He was able to find a cure in less than 5 years which successfully worked. Salk tested the
cure out on his wife, and their 3 sons. The amount of polio cases dramatically dropped from 28,985 in
1955 to 5,894 in 1957. He had a huge impact on our worlds death rates. Soon after his research for
Aids, Salk died, but his method of vaccinations

This clarify the abandonment of construction project is considered as one of the most common and
serious persecution in the construction industry in Malaysia. There several causes lead to this issue
such as financial difficulties, mismanagement during the construction process, unexpected location or
nature difficulty, and lack of cooperation from local authorities. Beside these issues, I found that
industrial ruins also the main factor contribute to the increase number of abandon building. Buildings

Belonging To Me And Sing Myself
Whitman is describing how people are great amazing beings that are capable of anything if they set
their minds to it. I celebrate myself and sing myself, and what i assume you shall assume for every
atom belonging to me as well belongs to you. Whitman wrote his verses without a regular form, meter,
or rhythm. His lines are highly rhythmic, and they have a mesmerizing chant like quality. The poem
has also helped shape the idea of what it means to be an American. The poem has also in many
different ways help shape the democratic way of thinking. Some people believe that this was the last
real step to try and save a fractured Union. Walt whitman kept on repeatedly making changes to his
original version of his book. To Whitman, the self is both

World War Two Causes and Effects Essay
World War II: Causes, and Affects In the history of the world there are many occurrences that have
changed life and the world, as we know it. The history of conflicts in the world is just as long as the
histories of man have bee recorded. From the beginning the human species survived off of conflict
(between various predators and the environment) and has been nourished by the fruits of war since
before the rise of the Roman Empire. World conquest has been the goal of many great generals and a
great many Kings. Through the years there were many conflicts that were thought to be the worst that
ever was and the worst that would ever be (World War I in particular). World war two is said to be the
war to end all wars, because of the leaders, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The rise of the Nazi party can be linked to the growing bitterness of the German people, and the
economic struggles the country was going through at the time. The Nazi party promised to protect
Germany from Communism while promising employment for all. These ideals soon attracted armies
of people to the Nazi party. They continued to grow in power organizing a private army of dissatisfied,
ambitious, and angry people. The League of Nations that was created in 1920 recognized them as a
threat. The idea behind the League was to settle disputes before they could come to blows. It was
however ineffective in the extreme because it was only political forum and didn t have any military
power to back up it s policy. The Axis collation was formed after Hitler came to power in Germany.
He came to power when the Reichtag (capital building) of Germany burned down he suspended the
constitution and crushed all opposition. Both Italy and Germany were secretly rearming, but at this
time they were still too weak to challenge Britain, and France. During this time the US had been
practicing Isolationism and was withdrawn from European problems. The Axis came about when the
Fascists Nazis and the Japanese totalitarians came together to form an alliance. This was known as the
Berlin Rome Tokyo Axis in October of 1936. Japan and Italy formally quit the League of Nations at
this time. The purpose of the Axis was to unite the three countries

My Six Fundamental Pillars Of Character
1. Loyalty. I chose loyalty as my first pillar of my Six Fundamental Pillars of Character because
loyalty has been something I have cherished for my entire life. I believe being a loyal friend and/or
family member is the most important characteristic for anyone to have. I believe this because if one
does not have loyalty, what is their purpose? Loyalty is important to me because I personally want
loyalty from others, so I provide loyalty to others. I have always lived my life on the concept that you
get what you put in. In response to that, I am loyal to others with hope that others will be loyal to me.
This pillar is most important in my relationship with Kylee. I am loyal to Kylee, as she is loyal to me.
Without loyalty in our relationship, our feelings for each other would not be as strong, if present at all.
Honesty. Honesty is most important to someone who is seeking the characteristic of loyalty. One who
is dishonest, is not a loyal person. To be loyal, you must be entrusted to tell the truth and nothing but
the truth at all times. Educated. One who is loyal, must be educated enough to be someone to rely one.
If someone wants to be trusted but is not wise enough to treat their trust correctly, they are not loyal.
The loyal person must know how to take things into perspective and know how to relate to the
situation and act accordingly. Dedicated. To be loyal, one must be dedicated to their characteristic.
They must be success driven, timely and organized in EVERY situation. If the loyal person is only
loyal to one person, or in only some situations, they are not truly a loyal person. Kind. A loyal person
must also be kind enough to be approachable. If a person isn t kind enough to be approached, they
cannot be labelled as loyal, because they aren t given the chance to prove they are. But, at the same
time they must also be realistic, and know how to help. 2. Safe. My second pillar is my characteristic
of safety. I believe I have lived my life safely, but also just as freely and exciting as well. Safety is an
important characteristic to me because I think not having this characteristic is dangerous. To live a
healthy life, one must know how to stay safe. I believe I have

A Comparison Of Identity Theory And Social Identity
What is identity? A loose definition of identity is a sense of who we are. So how do we develop or
define our identity? Do we define it by the roles we play; mother, father, priest, teacher? Or do we
define it by what groups we associate ourselves with; republican, atheist, professional? This paper will
briefly discuss identity theory and social identity theory and then review the similarities and the
differences of the two. Identity theory examines how social conditions mold our identities and
subsequently direct our behaviors. In other words, society influences the roles we play and we behave
in ways that meet the expectations of that role. For example, a woman who has a child identifies as a
mother and then behaves in ways that are acceptable to being a mother in accordance with the social
standards she lives in. In addition to this, identity theory states that the self is based on multiple roles;
the mother can also be a daughter, an employee, a sister and a tennis player. In identity theory terms,
these are called role identities. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So, a woman, when caring for her child, will likely behave in ways that are nurturing but, that same
woman, when away from her child and in the presence of an employer, may behave in a more
detached and reserved manner. Each person has a hierarchy of role identities based on what role is
more important to them. When two roles are in conflict a person will choose one over the other. The
mother mentioned above may abandon her work if her child is ill and her role as a mother is more
important than her role as an

Children s Crusade Of 1963 Research Paper
The End of Bombingham s Reign In a time of suffering and injustice it would take self sacrifice,
courage and determination to be truly free. In early May, 1963, Birmingham, Alabama was one of the
most racist cities in the United States. With Southern Christian Leadership Conference s Rev. James
Bevel s idea and the many brave children to go through with it, that would change quickly. During the
time of the Civil Rights Movement, Children s Crusade would be a pivotal event in the movement.

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
In his novel, Les Miserables, Victor Hugo identifies the principle social evils of French society
through the actions and qualities of his characters. By depicting each of his characters struggles
through destitute and oppressed measures, Hugo is able to identify the social errors of 19th century
France. The fact that characters such as Valjean, Javert, Fantine, and Cosette, attempt to rise above
poverty and redeem themselves indicate that such inequalities did, and still do, exist to this day.
Through the use of feminist ideals and the criminal injustice system, Hugo attacks the principle social
evils that each of his characters face in Les Miserables.
In the early 19th century, most women were subject to gender discrimination and viewed as weaker
components in France. One of the first characters attacked by such injustice is the former factory
worker and prostitute, Fantine. Having been discovered as a mother of an illegitimate child, Fantine is
thrown out of the work place and turns towards prostitution instead. Deprived of hope and redemption,
Fantine endures through much suffering and harassment from her male superiors in order to provide
for her child. While walking down the street one evening, Fantine passes by a man, who, taking
advantage of the moment when she turns... seizes a handful of snow from the sidewalk, and throws it
hastily down her back between her naked shoulders (69). Enraged, Fantine lashes out at the man, only
to be blamed later on for attacking

The Pre-Confederation Period and the Confederation Period
Canada is a constitutional monarchy and a liberal democracy. As a member of G 8 it is one of the most
industrialized nations in the world and holds a very important position in reference to the world
economy.
Territorially Canada was not always the same. It went through changes to evolve in the form it is
today. The Canada of today was earlier in the form of various British colonies. The region was not
united and they joined hand with the passage of time. The history of Canada can be divided roughly
into two factions: the pre confederation period and the confederation period.
The pre confederation period is the period prior to the unification of Canada. Before the advent of
Europeans, Canada had no single unified government or administration. The only kind of politics was
the treaties signed among the regions or tribes. At the same time, the local leaders or head of the tribes
were the only form of government known to the people. Canada turned into a series of colonies with
the arrival of the Europeans. Various regions were colonized by different nations of Europe like
Britain, France and even Spain. All the colonies which form Canada were once a part of New France.
The British acquired those colonies by the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713 and by the Treaty of Paris in
1763.
The Canada, as we know today, took its shape in 1867 with the signing of the British North America
Act. This Act created a single unified administration for the whole region. The regional interests were

Ivan Ilych By Leo Tolstoy
In The Death of Ivan Ilych by Leo Tolstoy, Ivan Ilych is a highly regarded official in the court of
justice who lives carefree most of the time. However, as the story progresses, he starts to more and
more self analyze and become emotional as he ponders the reason for his hellish illness and coming
death . Although it may seem like he has done something to deserve such a cruel fate, it is honestly
just the way life works, and all of us have to accept this fact. That is what Ivan ends up realizing and
doing. It is not a punishment of how he has lived, but instead is a natural occurrence that ends up
hitting everyone at different times in our lives. While Ivan asks himself why he has been afflicted with
his illness he also starts to learn new things just like how we learn that the larger thematic function of
his suffering is to help him reflect on himself, his life, and the people around him. First, we re not to

life. It s depressing to know that Ivan learns that his wife doesn t love him. Tolstoy states She pitied

means anything to him. However, he ends up realizing that the time where he was most happiest was
during his childhood. The further he departed from childhood and the nearer he came to the present
the more worthless and doubtful were the joys (1023). Ivan Ilych s childhood is the only happy part of
his life because it is the only point at which he had any real connections to other people. Happiness is
defined differently by everyone but for Ivan Ilych having real connections to and with other people is

Systems Biology and Computational Modeling
Systems biology integrates computational modelling with experimental techniques in order to better
understand the function of living organisms, the regulation of their cellular processes and how these
cells react to environmental perturbations [1]. Among the different computational approaches, kinetic
modelling gives the most detailed representation of the biological system. These models build on the
stoichiometry of the reactions, incorporating the dynamic interactions between different components
of the network. The dynamics in kinetic models are driven through ordinary differential equations
(ODEs) that represent the internal reaction mechanism as a function of species concentration and
parameters. These model parameters play a crucial role in describing the correct dynamics of the
model. However, it is only possible to measure a fraction of these kinetic parameters in wet lab
experiments due to high cost, difficulty and limitations in current techniques or methods [2]. Therefore
these parameters are indirectly determined through computational methods from other measurement
quantities, in particular the time course data of metabolite concentrations. However, as biological
models are often multi modal it is not uncommon for traditional parameter estimation methods to
become stuck in local optima [3]. In addition, traditional methods tend to perform badly in the
presence of high measurement noise. Furthermore most of these methods do not consider any form of
model

Temporary Assistance For Needy Families
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families:
A Policy Analysis
Lena Byanski
Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne
Author Note:
This paper was prepared for PPOL V371, Section 01, Spring 2016, taught by Professor Aitalieva.
Abstract
The main purpose of this research is to give further knowledge about the Temporary Assistance for
Needy Families Program offered in the United States (TANF). With looking at the history of the
program, it allows the reader to get an improved understanding of why the need for the program was
developed, and have an understanding at which direction the program is going to be going. The
research will share the environments of the current policy, effectiveness and efficiency, and offer some
possible policy alternatives that will either benefit the program or make it more difficult to allocate the
proper funding in order to continue to help low income families in need.
Policy Description
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program (TANF) was created to help and provide cash
assistance and supportive services to help assist families that have children under the age of 18,
including pregnant women. The assistance that is given to the individual or families allows the
financial assistance to help pay for utilities, food, and shelter. Temporary Assistance for Needy
Families Program (TANF) is administered by OFA, which is Office of Family Assistance. TANF is a

Literature Review On Tempromandibular Joint
Review of literature 1.1 Tempromandibular joint:
The tempromandibular joint (TMJ) is a synovial articulation between the mandibular condyle and the
squamous portion of the temporal bone.
The TMJ is one of the most complex, delecate and highly used joint in human body(okeson 2008).
Tempromandibular joint is a bi condylar joint in which the condyles, the movable upper ends of
mandible, function at the same time (AAOMS,2007). 1.2 The Unique TMJ properties
1 The TMJ is a compound bilateral joint permits the mandible to move with two functional patterns,
hinge movement (inferior portion) and translation movement (superior portion).
2 The TMJ contrasts with other joints of the body in that its articular surfaces are primarily covered
with collagen instead of hyaline cartilage (Springer andGreenberg,2008).

My Passion For Art
I remember from the mere age of three, I would sit next to my mother in the living room corner as she
painted. Several of my mother s finished paintings decorated the walls of our apartment and paint
bottles were scattered around the ground, as if hastily tossed aside while my mother was in search for
the right color. The long, thin frame of the wooden easel matched my mother s slender figure, as her
arm moved gracefully across the blank white canvas, filling in patches with color. I stared at the
movements of my mother s paintbrush in wonder, in awe of the beauty such a seemingly insignificant
bristle could create. My mother seemed so happy, so filled with life. After watching my mother in a
world of her own, I would eagerly pull out the sketchbook my parents had bought me and attempt to
create my own masterpiece of scribbles and circles and lines. As I grew up, and I could finally touch
the top of the refrigerator without jumping, my interest in art bloomed into a newfound passion. But as
my passion for art grew, so did my perfectionism. Perhaps my endeavor to become better and better in
my talent led to implementing higher, unreachable standards. Especially through my middle school
years, my art projects seemed to become more and more demanding. I was hesitant to even begin my
work in fear of failure. Whenever I approached a new piece of work, I would sit down at my desk,
grip my number two pencil tightly in my hand, and focus my eyes inches away from the

Hypatia Research Paper
Hypatia of Alexandria was one of the first female mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher in her
time. She, also, was one of the prime female mathematicians, in her time, to have existing records of
her life and work. Hypatia was born 350 or 370 CE in Alexandria, Egypt and died in 414 CE. During
that time period, Hypatia defied all odds in the educational field. However, even though Hypatia made
many achievements, she is most known for her infamous death.
Her father Theon of Alexandria was also a mathematician and an astronomer. He was one of the last
professors who taught at the University of Alexandria before the tragedy took place. Theon, in his
field of work, edited and commented on the final solutions text in math to make it easy for his students

Diophantus of Alexandria s Arithmetic, as well as an astronomical table. Apollonius of Perga s Conic
are theories created by Apollonius of Perga who was a Greek geometer, meaning he was a
mathematician who studied geometry. Specifically, the conic section dealt with hyperbolas, parabolas,
and ellipses. Diophantus of Alexandria s Arithmetic are theories created by Diophantus of Alexandria,
who was a Greek mathematician who studied algebra. Diophantus essentially brought symbolism to
the algebraic world. Hypatia, also, did a lot of commentaries on her father s work as

Literary Analysis Of Mother To Son By Langston Hughes
Cocar Poems just seem to be stanzas with a bunch of words but in reality, it is beyond just a bunch of
words, more like an intense significance. Many authors tend to send out an impacting message
throughout poems. Usually authors write poems about occurrences that they ve experienced to express
how they ve dealt with certain situations or people. Making it easy for the readers to also catch on to
their vibe and main idea of the whole poem. In Langston Hughes poem, Mother to Son Hughes
writing exemplifies the intricate trial and tribulations that a black person, specifically black men have
in this country. Hughes demonstrates through his writing about the staircase he s able to explain the
racial conflicts that many black people had faced. With Hughes use of metaphors, symbolism imagery
he s able to perfect both a mother s concern for her child along with the general concern many had
with race relations at the time. Throughout the poem Mother to Son , Langston Hughes uses an
informative tone to express how much the mother wants to guide her son in what she has already been
through. The metaphor that was seen in the poem was that the staircase represented the mother s life.
In Mother s to Son , Hughes writes, It s had tacks in it and splinters . This is basically referring to the
mother s suffering she had to live with in and out of her life. Of course, tacks and splitters do not
freeze your life and make everything impossible, but with those two things you do endure pain. The
next two lines, And boards torn up, and places with no carpet on the floor (lines 5 6.) Hughes shows
that no matter what hardships she had to face, she continued with her life. The mother makes sure to
explain clearly to her son that no matter what life hit her with she battled through it all even when it
was almost made impossible. The Cocar metaphor used proves that she never gave in to her problems,
she continued with all the scars she got along the way reaching for the best. Chidi Ikonne, writing in
the collection Langston Hughes, suggests that this and other poems by Hughes present a stance of
stability which, ironically, has developed from the

Zen Gardens Essay
Zen Gardens
Zen Buddhism began to show up in Japan during the eighth century. It went through various periods
of popularity and disregard, but constituted one of the most important influences on Japanese culture.
All Buddhist temples include gardens. The first temple gardens evolved from well groomed
landscaping around Shinto shrines. Later, the gates and grounds surrounding Buddhist temples began
to use gardens to beautify the temple, similar to the Heian mansion gardens. Jodo Buddhism (Pure
Land) used temple gardens as a way to symbolize the pure land created by Amida Buddha to aid
suffering souls in pursuit of enlightenment. These Zen gardens were meant to encompass the nature of
the universe. The garden ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fishing on small boats to catch fish in their ponds was one popular activity. Poetry reading and writing
was also essential.
According to Feng shui, all structures have to be laid out carefully along compass lines and in certain
configurations to allow ki (Chinese chi ), the mystic energy of life to flow properly. A reduced ki flow
in a home was thought to cause sickness and disharmony. For example, the builders, after consulting
with a Yin yang diviner, would usually create special arrangements to prevent bad ki from entering the
home from the northwest. In the first Japanese garden design manual, the Sakuteiki, it is explained
how water courses should flow from the northwest to the southeast so that any bad ki could be
cleansed by the protective deity of the east Kamogawa (blue dragon), then proceed west again passing
under a veranda of the house so as to draw away any evil spirits that might have somehow slipped into
the house. Heavy stones were thought to serve as gates or landing points for spirits and were thus
placed very carefully. Other design rules applied as well. Influenced by esoteric Buddhism, the garden
design was expected to include an island in a pond connected to the mainland by a bridge. This
represented the world of enlightenment separated from the world of man. The bridges were frequently
arched and coated with bright red lacquer (another Chinese influence).

A Brief Note On Korean War Veterans Memorial
Korean War Veterans Memorial
In 1985, the former members of the U.S. armed forces, who served in the Korean War, made a union
to build a memorial for the Korean War. The U.S. congress authorized the American Battle
Monuments Commission to build a memorial in Washington D.C. to honor the U.S. soldiers in 1986.
After the fund raising, the Memorial construction began in 1993 and it was completed in 1995. To
build the memorial, 18 million dollars was funded and five million dollars of a total cost was assisted
from the Korean companies. For the 42nd anniversary of the armistice, that ended the Korean War,
and celebrating the visit of South Korea s President, Young sam, Kim, unveiling event was held on
July 27. (두산백과, )
The memorial is a circle intersected by a triangle. In a triangle field, 19 stainless steel statues are in a
squad on patrol, representing each branch of the U.S. armed forces: Air Force, Army, Marines, and
Navy. They are portrayed from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, and their windblown ponchos mean
the harsh weather of Korea. On the side of the statues, 22 countries of the United Nations that sent
troops or gave medical support are listed. On the south side, a black granite wall, which intermingles
the images of the faces, is standing. The faces are based on actual photographs of unidentified U.S.
soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. At the Pool of Remembrance, a small part of a circle, numbers
of people who killed, wounded, held prisoner of war are

Successful IEP Meetings
When it comes to education, special education is a much needed service for students with disabilities.
In order for students with disabilities to succeed in life, it is imperative to expose them to as many
educational tools as possible. Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), 2004 solidified equal
education opportunities for persons with disabilities. Researchers Diliberto and Brewer (2014)
indicated that working together as a team to develop an effective IEP ensures academic success for
students with disabilities. So, how important is an IEP? According to Diliberto and Brewer (2014) the
IEP is the major key to planning the student s instruction and provides an intervention to their
educational needs. Diliberto and Brewer developed six tips that would assist an educator with having a
successful IEP meeting. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the six tips are equally important, essential knowledge and limit jargon plays a major role in
developing an effective IEP. Tip five, essential knowledge, ensures that the entire team (teacher,
parent, and other supports) have knowledge about the student and their needs. This tip helps build the
curriculum and determine the appropriate assessment need for the student (Diliberto Brewer, 2014).
The sixth tip, limit jargon, encourages the educator and the other supports to use a type of language
that parents understand the IEP and the meeting (Diliberto Brewer, 2014). Not all parents understand
acronyms and turns that are primarily used in IEP planning. If the parent understands the jargon or
language, they are more likely to provide more feedback during IEP

Dancing With Wolves By Kevin Costner
Dancing with wolves, was directed and starred by Kevin Costner. Originally, this movie was basically
an attempt to show both sides of the Native Americans and the White settlers. It showed how the
Native Americans perceives their insights on how the white settlers coming into the Western frontier
was within the concept of Manifest destiny. The film is narrated from his point of view by Costner
who plays Lieutenant Dunbar. Dunbar takes a risk to do a suicide charge and while surviving from it
he is rewarded a spot on the frontier, which he really wanted to go see it before it disappears forever.
Traveling to find his post he comes upon an abandoned post, where he resides. When at Fort
Sedgewick, Dunbar also befriends a wolf he names Two Socks for its white forepaws his first known
friend being out in the West. He noted everyday into a journal like a diary marking his experiences or
feelings and taking in all the beauty of the land. After a while he comes in contact with the the Sioux
Indians, which sooner or later gets to know on a more personal level. Dunbar at first didn t know
exactly how to feel but after a few curious acts upon the native Americans he wasn t afraid of them he
only wanted to communicate with them and make peace. I believe this film does an amazing job of
showing how the American West landscape was and how the soul of the the Sioux Indians were with
vivid imagery, language and body language. More than half of the film is dialogued because they were

Film Analysis Of Gavin Hood s Tsotsi
Set in Johannesburg in post apartheid South Africa, the contrast between rich and poor is extensively
explored in the film Tsotsi , directed by Gavin Hood (2005). The movie illustrates the dramatic life of
a young thug named Tsotsi, who shoots and steals a car from a middle classed African woman, thus
unintentionally kidnapping her baby. The themes of decency, redemption and chance are extensively
explored within the film, absorbing the viewer s attention. That is achieved by cinematic techniques,

Race Ethnicity And Gender In The Lowell Factory
While reading the assigned article, I was immediately interested since I am currently learning about
the foundation of women s rights in History. Race ethnicity and gender shaped the workforce in the
early textile mills by paying women half of what they pay males for the same job. This shows the
difference between a primary labor market and a secondary labor market; The primary market being
which men get paid higher wages than those of women. Race also had an impact on the workforce by
immigrants offering to work for such low wages as women would, sometimes being rejected from any
job at all. Women in the Lowell Factory were so closely supervised because women women who were
closely supervised were not able to organize. Also, they were supervised since that idea appealed to
many parents who would send their daughters to the mills. Some parents would send their daughters to
the mills because they could barely provide for their children. Not many jobs were for women at the
time, especially those that paid a so called good wage. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The economy and industry has grown a lot in the United States since the 1800 s, examples such as
blacks being able to have a wide range of options for job seeking along with women who gained the

different ways of looking at things and have different needs/wants. Overall, I believe the union
membership will fluctuate as the economy does. For example, during a depression in the U.S.
economy the unemployment rate goes down and people lose jobs, which will cause more people to
want to join the labor union as a part of hopefully gaining their job back or influencing

Wou Wound Healing Essay
Introduction The skin, the most important organ in the human body has many vital functions
including: sensation, thermoregulation, protection and synthesis of vitamin D. Routinely and
consistent assessment and monitoring of the patients skin condition is one of the most important duty
we have as nurses. This is very important because any change in the condition of the skin may often
be an indication of underlying disease Injury of either the epidermis or the dermis can result in
systemic infection, increased morbidity, increased cost of care, and negative psychosocial
consequences (Schindler, Kuhn, Christopher, Conway, Ridling Simpson; 2011). Wound healing is a
very complex process. Wound healing has three phases: the inflammatory phase, the proliferative
phase, and the maturational or remodeling phase. These phases might overlap at times (Porth, 2011).
Inflammatory Phase The inflammatory phase starts at the time of injury with the formation of a blood
clot and the migration of phagocytic white blood cells into the wound site. The first cells to arrive, the
neutrophils, ingest and remove bacteria and cellular debris. After twenty four hours, the neutrophils
are joined by macrophages that continue to ingest cellular debris and play an important role in the
production of growth factors for the proliferative phase (Porth, 2011).
Proliferative Phase The proliferative phase typically follows and overlaps with the inflammatory
phase,

Abstract:
Huge amounts of data are collected nowadays from different application domains and are not
feasible to analyze all these data manually. Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) is the
nontrivial process of identifying valid, novel, potentially useful, and ultimately understandable
patterns in data. In recent years, soft computing became more and more attractive for the researchers,
who work in the related research field of data mining. This paper concerns primarily about how to use
soft computing model to extract knowledge from data mining (database). The data mining
preprocessing techniques have been applied on the available data to clean it in proper form to extract
the knowledge from the data. Thereafter, statistical analysis and soft computing techniques have been
applied on the clean data to select the preferable model. The decision of the preferable model has to be
achieved based on the maximum number of minimum value of the parameters of residual analysis and
average error. The preferable model has been used to extract the knowledge from the data mining. The

Female Characters In Frankenstein Research Paper
Looking closely at the female characters in Frankenstein, you can see that the female characters are
passive, disposable, and serve a function for male characters. Why are women in Mary Shelly s
Frankenstein are portrayed as the submissive sex? Female characters such as Elizabeth, Justine,
Margret, Safie, and Agatha are all used for nothing more but a source of action for the male characters
in the novel. Things usually happen to the female characters, for only the purpose of teaching a male
character a lesson and being an emotional source. Looking at Justine s character she is a very passive
and peaceful character. After being switched back and forth between her family and Elizabeth s she
finally ends up with Frankenstein s. But, here she if framed for the murder of William Frankenstein,
where she confesses to the murder of William Frankenstein. Justine accepts being wrongfully accused
of murder, remaining peaceful and acceptable of the outcome. Justine justifies herself saying, God

Redemption And Utopia
Redemption and Utopia
The Torah doesn t recognize Messiah as a designation of waiting for a redeemer in the eschatological,
technical or personnel sense like the Christian tradition later understood in light of the redeeming
death of Jesus of Nazareth. The word Messiah derives etymologically from the Hebrew and means
anointed with oil. In the Jewish Bible the name Messiah applies to both the king (1 Sam 24,7.11), as
the high priest (Lev 4.3), and later appears associated with all priests (2Mac 1, 10). The anointed
presupposed, in short, the figure of anyone associated with the implementation of a special mission,
rushed by G d, but their status was still emptied of the eschatological and unique character of the
person Messiah as would be reinforced later by biblical hermeneutics.
The history of Judaism of the post exilic period gave rise to a complex set of beliefs towards the
expectations about the future: resurrection of the body, eternal reward and punishment, final judgment,
heaven, retribution and the Messiah. Many of these beliefs, however, have become doctrines only
later, and so are presented only bland and implicitly in the Torah. Indeed, to the astonishment of many,
if not used as a task careful exegetical research, these beliefs remain hidden between the lines of the
scripture. This was one reason, incidentally, that led the faction of the Sadducees to not believe in the
resurrection of the dead, that is, because they are not explicitly written in the

Troll Hunters uses a 5 by 5 grid design, shifting around to the various places the trolls like to live.
Each of these places may house a host of troll treasures. Players are able to take on the image of three
scantily clad female warriors, each entrusted with hunting down the troll s booty. Finding a little meat

but when they do the jackpots are enormous. Splitting the game into two different rounds gives

Troll Hunter Strategy
The strange way the game applies bonus payouts, leads to a rather unusual series of winning lines.
Betting strategy is important to keep in mind, since the scatter line concept is used to place the

  • 2. Communication And Communication Conversation is such an important element when forming relationships with others and is needed when bringing communities together. In order to establish communities, you need people who are able to create bonds with one another through similar interests, common goals, and anything that can stir up simple conversations. It sounds easy to talk to people, but most of the time, conversation is a lot more complex than it sounds. In order to have conversation, we need to put aside our internal conflicts that we all are guilty of having; such as stereotyping, putting our emotions first, and not listening to other peoples opinions. Environment, people, topic, and many other characteristics are crucial in order to have a good conversation. Communities have been bonded throughout the years by conversation, but how we communicate has changed and continues to change as time progresses. Communication can be done in multiple ways. You can have a face to face dialogue with people, call someone, text, facetime, email; the ways these days are endless. These types of connections were not around when the adults of this generation were younger, but the teenagers now are part of an era where technology is major and available when wanting to speak to people. Some people will say those who overuse cell phones are fleeing from conversation and can change who we are (Turkle). While you can perhaps have an opinion on today s society being overly technical, you cannot conclude that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Insert James Wait Hoetker AP Literature 21 December 2016 (Insert Title) In a decade that will be surely known as one of grand feminist success it seems worthwhile mentioning that prostitution is a new feminist issue. According to Women Have the Rights many sex workers and feminist activists see the decriminalization of prostitution as a human rights initiative for women to regain control over their bodies. These third wave feminists find sex an issue that should be more widely discussed. Large leaps in pornography such as female filmmakers and feminist porn stars point to an ideal that consensual sex work is just another fore front in the battle for gender equality. Legalization of prostitution leads to more government oversight requiring ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Prostitution flourishes in territories that have a high crime rate, along these lines, cops and courts are overburdened with these cases, having next to zero effect on prostitution. The sex workers and their clients pay their fines and are back to the boulevards right away in a rotating door process. Law enforcement is occupied with adding prostitution to the rundown of things to shield us from, the genuine violations go unchecked and unchallenged. Not with standing if prostitution were legitimate, police would have less work attempting to dispose of prostitution and additional time shielding people from far more heinous crimes. It is estimated that if prostitution were legalized in the United States, the rape rate would decrease by roughly 25% for a decrease of approximately 25,000 rapes per year. The analysis seems to support that the rape rate could be lowered if prostitution was more readily available. This would be accomplished in most countries by its legalization (Sexual Violence Such as Rape). On the off chance that prostitution ends up distinctly lawful, it must be directed for the wellbeing of the worker and customer. Since prostitution is illicit it has been ... • 4. Happy Gilmore Character Analysis Happy Gilmore is a comedic 90 s movie about the transition from an ineffective hockey player to a talented golfer. This is a 1996 film, Adam Sandler, who portrays Happy Gilmore faces few obstacles when learning how to play golf. The reason why he joins a golf tournament was that he needed the money to save his grandmother s house. His grandmother has not pay taxes for past 10 years so she owed $270,00 otherwise her home would be lost. Happy Gilmore is a naïve and absurd character that struggles with anger issues but later learns how to deal with it through dumb childish humor. Throughout the golf tournament, he has a nemesis, Shooter Mcgavin, who is arrogant that gets jealous at Happy Gilmore for his hidden talent at golf. Although Gilmore has serious anger issues, his patience and dedication teach the audience that one s passion is not always something one is good at. One of the eye catching concepts that are hard to miss is Happy s aggression in sports. He is either yelling, cursing, fighting or attacking someone throughout this film. At the beginning of the film when he was trying out for the hockey team, there is a scene where he loses his temper. He didn t make the team so he attacked the coach for being cut. Then there is the scene when he is mad at his girlfriend so he yells at her but then changes to innocent sad boyfriend voice and just kept switching off between those two personas. This was very interesting to watch because he was two different characters since ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 1942, Salk was first called on to begin researching and conducting experiments on an illness called influenza, also known as the flu. Although technology has taken over, Salk found a way to cure diseases without using technology. He was able to find a cure in less than 5 years which successfully worked. Salk tested the cure out on his wife, and their 3 sons. The amount of polio cases dramatically dropped from 28,985 in 1955 to 5,894 in 1957. He had a huge impact on our worlds death rates. I celebrate myself and sing myself, and what i assume you shall assume for every atom belonging to me as well belongs to you. Whitman wrote his verses without a regular form, meter, or rhythm. His lines are highly rhythmic, and they have a mesmerizing chant like quality. The poem has also helped shape the idea of what it means to be an American. The poem has also in many different ways help shape the democratic way of thinking. Some people believe that this was the last real step to try and save a fractured Union. The history of conflicts in the world is just as long as the histories of man have bee recorded. From the beginning the human species survived off of conflict (between various predators and the environment) and has been nourished by the fruits of war since before the rise of the Roman Empire. World conquest has been the goal of many great generals and a great many Kings. Through the years there were many conflicts that were thought to be the worst that ever was and the worst that would ever be (World War I in particular). The rise of the Nazi party can be linked to the growing bitterness of the German people, and the economic struggles the country was going through at the time. The Nazi party promised to protect Germany from Communism while promising employment for all. These ideals soon attracted armies of people to the Nazi party. They continued to grow in power organizing a private army of dissatisfied, ambitious, and angry people. The League of Nations that was created in 1920 recognized them as a threat. The idea behind the League was to settle disputes before they could come to blows. It was however ineffective in the extreme because it was only political forum and didn t have any military power to back up it s policy. The Axis collation was formed after Hitler came to power in Germany. He came to power when the Reichtag (capital building) of Germany burned down he suspended the constitution and crushed all opposition. Both Italy and Germany were secretly rearming, but at this time they were still too weak to challenge Britain, and France. During this time the US had been practicing Isolationism and was withdrawn from European problems. The Axis came about when the Fascists Nazis and the Japanese totalitarians came together to form an alliance. This was known as the Berlin Rome Tokyo Axis in October of 1936. • 10. My Six Fundamental Pillars Of Character 1. Loyalty. I chose loyalty as my first pillar of my Six Fundamental Pillars of Character because loyalty has been something I have cherished for my entire life. I believe being a loyal friend and/or family member is the most important characteristic for anyone to have. I believe this because if one does not have loyalty, what is their purpose? Loyalty is important to me because I personally want loyalty from others, so I provide loyalty to others. I have always lived my life on the concept that you get what you put in. One who is dishonest, is not a loyal person. To be loyal, you must be entrusted to tell the truth and nothing but the truth at all times. Educated. One who is loyal, must be educated enough to be someone to rely one. If someone wants to be trusted but is not wise enough to treat their trust correctly, they are not loyal. The loyal person must know how to take things into perspective and know how to relate to the situation and act accordingly. Dedicated. To be loyal, one must be dedicated to their characteristic. They must be success driven, timely and organized in EVERY situation. If the loyal person is only loyal to one person, or in only some situations, they are not truly a loyal person. Kind. A loyal person must also be kind enough to be approachable. If a person isn t kind enough to be approached, they cannot be labelled as loyal, because they aren t given the chance to prove they are. But, at the same time they must also be realistic, and know how to help. 2. Safe. My second pillar is my characteristic of safety. I believe I have lived my life safely, but also just as freely and exciting as well. Safety is an important characteristic to me because I think not having this characteristic is dangerous. To live a healthy life, one must know how to stay safe. I believe I have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. A Comparison Of Identity Theory And Social Identity What is identity? A loose definition of identity is a sense of who we are. So how do we develop or define our identity? Do we define it by the roles we play; mother, father, priest, teacher? Or do we define it by what groups we associate ourselves with; republican, atheist, professional? This paper will briefly discuss identity theory and social identity theory and then review the similarities and the differences of the two. Identity theory examines how social conditions mold our identities and subsequently direct our behaviors. In other words, society influences the roles we play and we behave in ways that meet the expectations of that role. For example, a woman who has a child identifies as a mother and then behaves in ways that are acceptable to being a mother in accordance with the social standards she lives in. In addition to this, identity theory states that the self is based on multiple roles; the mother can also be a daughter, an employee, a sister and a tennis player. In identity theory terms, these are called role identities. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In early May, 1963, Birmingham, Alabama was one of the most racist cities in the United States. With Southern Christian Leadership Conference s Rev. James Bevel s idea and the many brave children to go through with it, that would change quickly. During the time of the Civil Rights Movement, Children s Crusade would be a pivotal event in the movement. States Kim Gilmore in Birmingham Children s Crusade of 1963. It opened peoples eyes and inspired others to fight against the cruelty of segregation in the South, Truly, the Children s Crusade of 1963 was the most influential event in the Civil Rights Movement. • 13. Les Miserables by Victor Hugo In his novel, Les Miserables, Victor Hugo identifies the principle social evils of French society through the actions and qualities of his characters. By depicting each of his characters struggles through destitute and oppressed measures, Hugo is able to identify the social errors of 19th century France. The fact that characters such as Valjean, Javert, Fantine, and Cosette, attempt to rise above poverty and redeem themselves indicate that such inequalities did, and still do, exist to this day. Through the use of feminist ideals and the criminal injustice system, Hugo attacks the principle social evils that each of his characters face in Les Miserables. In the early 19th century, most women were subject to gender discrimination and viewed as weaker components in France. One of the first characters attacked by such injustice is the former factory worker and prostitute, Fantine. • 15. The Pre-Confederation Period and the Confederation Period Canada is a constitutional monarchy and a liberal democracy. As a member of G 8 it is one of the most industrialized nations in the world and holds a very important position in reference to the world economy. Territorially Canada was not always the same. It went through changes to evolve in the form it is today. The Canada of today was earlier in the form of various British colonies. The region was not united and they joined hand with the passage of time. The history of Canada can be divided roughly into two factions: the pre confederation period and the confederation period. The pre confederation period is the period prior to the unification of Canada. Before the advent of Europeans, Canada had no single unified government or administration. The only kind of politics was the treaties signed among the regions or tribes. At the same time, the local leaders or head of the tribes were the only form of government known to the people. Canada turned into a series of colonies with the arrival of the Europeans. Various regions were colonized by different nations of Europe like Britain, France and even Spain. All the colonies which form Canada were once a part of New France. The British acquired those colonies by the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713 and by the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The Canada, as we know today, took its shape in 1867 with the signing of the British North America Act. This Act created a single unified administration for the whole region. However, as the story progresses, he starts to more and more self analyze and become emotional as he ponders the reason for his hellish illness and coming death . Although it may seem like he has done something to deserve such a cruel fate, it is honestly just the way life works, and all of us have to accept this fact. That is what Ivan ends up realizing and doing. It is not a punishment of how he has lived, but instead is a natural occurrence that ends up hitting everyone at different times in our lives. While Ivan asks himself why he has been afflicted with his illness he also starts to learn new things just like how we learn that the larger thematic function of his suffering is to help him reflect on himself, his life, and the people around him. First, we re not to see Ivan Ilych s suffering and death as some sort ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 17. Systems Biology and Computational Modeling Systems biology integrates computational modelling with experimental techniques in order to better understand the function of living organisms, the regulation of their cellular processes and how these cells react to environmental perturbations [1]. Among the different computational approaches, kinetic modelling gives the most detailed representation of the biological system. These models build on the stoichiometry of the reactions, incorporating the dynamic interactions between different components of the network. The dynamics in kinetic models are driven through ordinary differential equations (ODEs) that represent the internal reaction mechanism as a function of species concentration and parameters. These model parameters play a crucial role in describing the correct dynamics of the model. However, it is only possible to measure a fraction of these kinetic parameters in wet lab experiments due to high cost, difficulty and limitations in current techniques or methods [2]. Therefore these parameters are indirectly determined through computational methods from other measurement quantities, in particular the time course data of metabolite concentrations. However, as biological models are often multi modal it is not uncommon for traditional parameter estimation methods to become stuck in local optima [3]. In addition, traditional methods tend to perform badly in the presence of high measurement noise. Furthermore most of these methods do not consider any form of model ... • 20. My Passion For Art I remember from the mere age of three, I would sit next to my mother in the living room corner as she painted. Several of my mother s finished paintings decorated the walls of our apartment and paint bottles were scattered around the ground, as if hastily tossed aside while my mother was in search for the right color. The long, thin frame of the wooden easel matched my mother s slender figure, as her arm moved gracefully across the blank white canvas, filling in patches with color. I stared at the movements of my mother s paintbrush in wonder, in awe of the beauty such a seemingly insignificant bristle could create. My mother seemed so happy, so filled with life. After watching my mother in a world of her own, I would eagerly pull out the sketchbook my parents had bought me and attempt to create my own masterpiece of scribbles and circles and lines. As I grew up, and I could finally touch the top of the refrigerator without jumping, my interest in art bloomed into a newfound passion. But as my passion for art grew, so did my perfectionism. Perhaps my endeavor to become better and better in my talent led to implementing higher, unreachable standards. Especially through my middle school years, my art projects seemed to become more and more demanding. I was hesitant to even begin my work in fear of failure. Literary Analysis Of Mother To Son By Langston Hughes Cocar Poems just seem to be stanzas with a bunch of words but in reality, it is beyond just a bunch of words, more like an intense significance. Many authors tend to send out an impacting message throughout poems. Usually authors write poems about occurrences that they ve experienced to express how they ve dealt with certain situations or people. Making it easy for the readers to also catch on to their vibe and main idea of the whole poem. In Langston Hughes poem, Mother to Son Hughes writing exemplifies the intricate trial and tribulations that a black person, specifically black men have in this country. Hughes demonstrates through his writing about the staircase he s able to explain the racial conflicts that many black people had faced. With Hughes use of metaphors, symbolism imagery he s able to perfect both a mother s concern for her child along with the general concern many had with race relations at the time. Throughout the poem Mother to Son , Langston Hughes uses an informative tone to express how much the mother wants to guide her son in what she has already been through. The metaphor that was seen in the poem was that the staircase represented the mother s life. In Mother s to Son , Hughes writes, It s had tacks in it and splinters . This is basically referring to the mother s suffering she had to live with in and out of her life. Of course, tacks and splitters do not freeze your life and make everything impossible, but with those two things you do endure pain. The next two lines, And boards torn up, and places with no carpet on the floor (lines 5 6.) Hughes shows that no matter what hardships she had to face, she continued with her life. The mother makes sure to explain clearly to her son that no matter what life hit her with she battled through it all even when it was almost made impossible. The Cocar metaphor used proves that she never gave in to her problems, she continued with all the scars she got along the way reaching for the best. Chidi Ikonne, writing in the collection Langston Hughes, suggests that this and other poems by Hughes present a stance of stability which, ironically, has developed from the ... Fishing on small boats to catch fish in their ponds was one popular activity. Poetry reading and writing was also essential. According to Feng shui, all structures have to be laid out carefully along compass lines and in certain configurations to allow ki (Chinese chi ), the mystic energy of life to flow properly. A reduced ki flow in a home was thought to cause sickness and disharmony. For example, the builders, after consulting with a Yin yang diviner, would usually create special arrangements to prevent bad ki from entering the home from the northwest. In the first Japanese garden design manual, the Sakuteiki, it is explained how water courses should flow from the northwest to the southeast so that any bad ki could be cleansed by the protective deity of the east Kamogawa (blue dragon), then proceed west again passing under a veranda of the house so as to draw away any evil spirits that might have somehow slipped into the house. Heavy stones were thought to serve as gates or landing points for spirits and were thus placed very carefully. Other design rules applied as well. Influenced by esoteric Buddhism, the garden design was expected to include an island in a pond connected to the mainland by a bridge. This represented the world of enlightenment separated from the world of man. The bridges were frequently arched and coated with bright red lacquer (another Chinese influence). The Heian nobles ... Race Ethnicity And Gender In The Lowell Factory While reading the assigned article, I was immediately interested since I am currently learning about the foundation of women s rights in History. Race ethnicity and gender shaped the workforce in the early textile mills by paying women half of what they pay males for the same job. This shows the difference between a primary labor market and a secondary labor market; The primary market being which men get paid higher wages than those of women. Race also had an impact on the workforce by immigrants offering to work for such low wages as women would, sometimes being rejected from any job at all. Women in the Lowell Factory were so closely supervised because women women who were closely supervised were not able to organize. Routinely and consistent assessment and monitoring of the patients skin condition is one of the most important duty we have as nurses. This is very important because any change in the condition of the skin may often be an indication of underlying disease Injury of either the epidermis or the dermis can result in systemic infection, increased morbidity, increased cost of care, and negative psychosocial consequences (Schindler, Kuhn, Christopher, Conway, Ridling Simpson; 2011). Wound healing is a very complex process. Wound healing has three phases: the inflammatory phase, the proliferative phase, and the maturational or remodeling phase. These phases might overlap at times (Porth, 2011). Inflammatory Phase The inflammatory phase starts at the time of injury with the formation of a blood clot and the migration of phagocytic white blood cells into the wound site. The first cells to arrive, the neutrophils, ingest and remove bacteria and cellular debris. After twenty four hours, the neutrophils are joined by macrophages that continue to ingest cellular debris and play an important role in the production of growth factors for the proliferative phase (Porth, 2011). Redemption And Utopia Redemption and Utopia The Torah doesn t recognize Messiah as a designation of waiting for a redeemer in the eschatological, technical or personnel sense like the Christian tradition later understood in light of the redeeming death of Jesus of Nazareth. The word Messiah derives etymologically from the Hebrew and means anointed with oil. In the Jewish Bible the name Messiah applies to both the king (1 Sam 24,7.11), as the high priest (Lev 4.3), and later appears associated with all priests (2Mac 1, 10). The anointed presupposed, in short, the figure of anyone associated with the implementation of a special mission, rushed by G d, but their status was still emptied of the eschatological and unique character of the person Messiah as would be reinforced later by biblical hermeneutics. The history of Judaism of the post exilic period gave rise to a complex set of beliefs towards the expectations about the future: resurrection of the body, eternal reward and punishment, final judgment, heaven, retribution and the Messiah. Many of these beliefs, however, have become doctrines only later, and so are presented only bland and implicitly in the Torah. Indeed, to the astonishment of many, if not used as a task careful exegetical research, these beliefs remain hidden between the lines of the scripture.
