Recombivax HBV Vaccine Analysis
Hepatitis B immune globulin remains a central component of prophylaxis in HBV infected patients
undergoing liver transplantation. Its monotherapy given at a high dosage can prevent recurrence in
65% to 80% of patients. The cost of long term prophylaxis with high dose HBIG is extremely high
and combination therapy using HBIG with a nucleoside analog is more uniformly effective. The
current protocol is combination of HBIG with a nucleoside analog after liver transplantation. These
combination protocols have reduced the rate of virologic breakthrough to 10% or less (Terrault and
Vyas, 2003).
Prevention of primary infection by vaccination is also an important strategy to decrease the risk of
chronic HBV infection and its subsequent complications. The hepatitis B vaccine contains a
protein(antigen) that stimulates the body(immune system) to make protective antibodies or adaptive
immunity against the virus (Goldstein et al.,2005). The use vaccines like Engerix B and Recombivax
HB(monovalent vaccines) as single antigen hepatitis B vaccines are typically given as a 3 shot series.
For adolescents 11 15 years old, an alternative 2 dose Recombivax HB regimen may be used. Engerix
B and Recombivax hepatitis B vaccine can be used interchangeably and administered concurrently
with hepatitis B immune globulin (HBIG) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Consequently, the second generation of HB vaccine, a DNA recombinant HB vaccine was also
available for general use in 1986. Both of the vaccines were proven to be safe and efficacious in
preventing HBV infection. In 1991, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommended that
hepatitis B vaccination should be included in national immunization system in all countries with a
hepatitis B carrier prevalence (HBsAg) of 8% or greater by 1995 and in all countries by 1997. By May
2002, 154 countries had routine infant immunization with hepatitis B vaccine (Lavanchy,

good to have this somewhat high ratio, knowing that Boeing has a brand new and appealing aircraft

The Frogs
Aristophanes The Frogs was first performed at the festival of Dionysus in 504BC, a year before the
end of the Peloponnesian war, and was so well received it not only won the competition for comedy,
but was also given an encore taking the form of a second performance in that same year. At the time of
the plays performance Athens was run by an assembly of its citizens, in some ways comparable to a
modern democracy, where any man who had completed two years of military service was able to vote.
Politics therefore was an important part of Athenian life, with many young men studying the art of
debating, something reflected in The Frogs by its many references and illusions to political figures. It
is hard to doubt that in his play Aristophanes intended to educate or inform his audience, especially
considering the plays many allusions to the advisory role of poets. The objective of this essay
therefore is not to answer the question does Aristophanes inform, educate and entertain his audience in
the frogs but to identify both where and how he does so, both linguistically and structurally. The
problem with this however is that any talk about the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the parabasis the chorus leader exits the dance and, either partially or fully taking on the voice of
the poet, addresses the audience directly. It is hard to doubt that in his inclusion of a parabasis
Aristophanes intended to take on the advisory role of a poet. In his article A lesson From Frogs
Geoffrey Arnott argued that Aristophanes used the parabasis in Frogs to advocate for two different
policies: the pardoning of those exiled after the oligarchic revolution of 411 10, and the formation of a
government led by the noblest families in Attica . Whether you agree or disagree with Arnott s specific
claims, it is clear that in his parabasis Aristophanes seeks to educate and inform his audience into

The Disagreement: Lenora and Joshua
When you are in a relationship, arguments or disagreements can arise. They can often trigger strong
emotions that lead to hurtful words and uneasiness. If these conflicts are not resolved in a healthy way,
resentment and a dissolved relationship could follow. However, when they are resolved in a proper
manner, it could promote growth between the couple and fortify the bonds of their relationship
(Conflict Resolution Skills).
In the case between Lenora and Joshua, they are having a disagreement about Lenora returning to the
workforce, now, when Christa is only 3 months old instead of waiting until Christa is 5 years old. To
handle this situation properly, there are ten guidelines that can assist ... Show more content on

Joshua must understand that Christa s needs are not just Lenora s responsibility. His participation is
detrimental towards the development of their child.
Guideline 4: Avoid Mixed, of Double Messages
Leonora needs to mitigate criticizing Joshua on how his income doesn t cover the monthly expenses.
She should demonstrate that if she returned to work, the financial burden would be reduced.
Joshua s perspective on day care should be emphasized because it will produce an unnecessary
expense. Furthermore, a large part of their income would result in the consumption of day care.
Guideline 5: When You Can, Choose the Time and Place Carefully
Lenora and Joshua should set time aside to discuss their conflict instead of randomly arguing over the
same issues. By doing this, it gives each other time to put thoughts together instead of saying
something that they don t mean or is derogatory.
Guideline 6: Address a Specific Issue, Ask for a Specific Change, and Be Open to Compromise
Lenora needs to express her desire to go back to work because it will benefit both Christa and the
family. But at the same time, Lenora should consider the affect it will have on her when she goes back
to work. Maybe the solution could be to compromise with Joshua, to stay at home for one more year,
to nurture Christa.
Joshua should sympathize with her desire to go back to work for the positive effects it will have on the
family s welfare. He should analyze the

Uber Profile Research Paper
Bravo! You ve somehow passed your background check and talked your way through the big
interview. Now you re an official Uber driver! From this day forward your pay depends on the amount
of fares you get. To maximize your passengers, you need a perfect five star rating on your Uber
profile. Here is a list of ten tips to gain that perfect score: 1. There s no need for a GPS: The guessing
game is a fun way to test your knowledge of the town. Choosing which way to turn will entertain you
and your passengers during the ride. Besides, longer rides give you more time to really get to know
who s in your car. 2. Lanes are just suggestions: Those solid yellow lines down the center of the street
don t mean anything! Drive on either side you prefer. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Show off your driving skills...Drive with your knees: You need to impress your passengers; knee
driving will certainly woo them. It will also allow your hands to get involved in the conversation.
Hand gestures pull your passengers in and can never be too excessive, especially while driving down
interstate. You ll build an intimate relationship with each person you drive around. 8. Play bumper
cars: Who doesn t love a good round of bumper cars? Smashing into nearby vehicles adds a dangerous
element to the experience, which will be fun. Other cars will realize your game and join in! Trust me.
Nobody will get hurt. Sometimes police cars play, but they get too into it...Hold your ground, as they
might try to push you completely off the road. 9. Drop passengers off a couple blocks away from their
destinations: They can walk the rest of the way. America is becoming too lazy nowadays, and you will
help people exercise again. If they refuse to leave the car, push them out. They ll thank you eventually.
10. Choose your own rates: The price is calculated by the app, but you should still ask for more
money. Your passengers will completely understand because if you have followed these steps, you are
the best Uber driver out there. They ll know you deserve a much higher pay than the average

Who Is Puck In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Although there is no true protagonist in the story, many people would argue that Puck is the most
important character in the Midsummer nights dream play. Many of the major conflicts in this story
happen because of Puck.
For example when Oberon sent Puck to find the magical flower and place it on Demetrius eye . Since
Puck had never seen what Demetrius looks like he accidentally puts the flower juice on Lysander s
eye, causing Lysander to fall in love with Helena. Oberon sees the mistake Puck has made and sends
him to fix the problem, so Puck goes out and puts the flower juice on Demetrius eye while he is
asleep. This leads to Hermia and Helena getting in a fight because Hermia blames Helena for both

A Short Note On Internal And Internal Marketing
Internal Activities (Chapter 1) Internal Marketing means that each employees from different levels
represents the company differently and by making the employees understand the strategy, manager
have to enable them to understand their role. The training is composed of having effective
communication skills, staff development and to improve the staffs knowledge and understanding of
the position within the company. The company have to teach their employees to maintain a good
customer services because customer satisfaction is based on a company s staff performance. The main
function of internal activities is the process of the business or organization is to motivates and
empowers employees at all levels to be able to provide value to customers. External marketing is
important to company development but internal activities can allow the business to develop by selling
internally towards the workers. Internal marketing is a form of communication between customers and
employees. For example, Apple is an organization that emphasizes creativity, innovation, and
proficiency. Apple can be selective while hiring new employees and they also have to have to be train
to promote Apple products. Employees that deal with customers represent the company image and
they are also the one promoting the products. According to Carmine Gallo, there is a five step
procedure that help businesses and they represent: (Gallo 2012) (A)pproach , (P)probe , (Present) ,

Amory Blaine In This Side Of Paradise
This Side of Paradise is the first novel of beloved author F. Scott Fitzgerald. Drawing greatly from his
own life, Fitzgerald tells the story of Amory Blaine. Blaine is born to rich parents who move from
Britain to New England. He is noted as a handsome boy a world of privilege handed to him as he
spends his early years trying to fit in with his new classmates. His high school career is spent at a
boarding school from which he moves to Princeton. It is half way through college that Amory realizes
how empty conforming to school social standards has left him, his grades spiral but his love for
literature grows. With new and larger thoughts filling his head, Amory enlists to fight in WWI. Upon

There s is an immense pressure on the boys to excel in academics, sports, and clubs to ensure their
acceptance to colleges. His education is quite similar to today s America. It is in this accademia that
Amory first tries to identify himself. Through his first college years, Amory learns how to work the
social structures of the great American school system. After failing a math class, Amory loses his first
definition of himself and turns to philosophy instead of his graceful conversation. Throughout this
section of the book, Fitzgerald makes numerous references to authors that Amory reads. Many of these
books are likely what influenced Fitzgerald while writing This Side of Paradise. Amory s love life is
likely the greatest window Fitzgerald gives the reader into the social structure of the 20 s. Amory
quarts girls from a young age, attending dances and parlor parties one after the other. He also attends a
bobbing party, a popular get together in the 20 s in which girls would cut their hair short in a large
group. We also see how important financial security was to women when Rosalind leaves Amory.
Although she is truly in love with him, her fear of an unsure feature over takes her. Because women

Ancient Egyptian Sports
In early Egypt, they had lots of sports, from handball to fishing to rowing. The Egyptians got creative
when it came to sports. Field hockey was a popular activity where they would use palm tree branches

sport for Egyptians, especially archery, javelin, and fishing. Not all did these things to hunt, some just
for fun and for competition. The Nile was a good source to fish from and became very helpful. The
fishing poles looked similar to ones today, just obviously not as fancy.

America Needs Prayer in Public Schools Essay
Not so long ago, a typical school day would begin with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer. Today, a
simple prayer is considered offensive and unconstitutional. A prayer is meant to be a conversation
with God; a personal connection to a sovereign being of choice. I personally believe that prayer is
beneficial. Prayer calms my mind and gives me the chance to thank God for all of his blessings.
Granted, not everyone believes in the same God that I do. I believe most people would probably agree
that there is some form of higher power that everyone has to answer to. One of the things that I love
about being an American, are the freedoms that I have. I am free to worship the God I choose and to
pray at anytime or any place that I choose. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Little did they know their complaint against the school system would shock the country and set into
motion a new way of looking at what was a time honored tradition. After several failed attempts
through the various court systems in the state of New York, the case ended up going before the highest
court in the country, the United States Supreme Court. On June 25, 1962, the United States Supreme
Court voted 6 to 1 in favor of banning the Regents Prayer. The Justices considered the prayer a direct
contradiction to the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment which prohibits the government
from sponsoring or favoring any religion...prayer is a purely religious activity that should be left to the
people, not the government (Haas 48). The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment states:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise
thereof... (Irons 11). I believe that many people who read the First Amendment and the Establishment
Clause take it out of context. I agree that the government should not be allowed to establish one
religion, but I do not agree with the government interjecting and infringing upon my rights or my
children s rights to pray when and where they choose. Just look at the last part of the Establishment
Clause prohibiting the free exercise thereof... If my child chooses to pray at the

Rothschilds Fiddle
Jackson Weeks Harold English 101 1 31 13 Chekhov s Use of Futliarnost to Develop Yakov and the
Importance of Morals in Rothschild s Fiddle Futliarnost, a Russian literature theme which is often
present in Anton Chekhov s short stories, is when a character is encased in a situation and can not
escape. In Rothschild s Fiddle , Yakov is entrapped in an almost trance like state, that is brought about
by loss and remorse in his life. Is Yakov ever released from this state, through Marfa s death, or any
other instance and does Chekhov intend for the reader to see one single moral in this story? Chekhov
uses irony and ambiguity to develop Yakov Rothschild s Fiddle into a deeper character as well.
Chekhov uses one particular irony ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perhaps she was just rosy from the fever, or more likely just relieved that she was finally going to be
released from her dreary life of being frightened by Yakov, mistreated, and not appreciated. Even
though Marfa only has a small presence in the text, she is a great tool for Chekhov. She is used to
bring up Yakov s past. Marfa says Do you remember fifty years ago God gave us a little baby with
flaxen hair? We used always to be sitting by the river then, singing songs . . . under the willows, and
laughing bitterly, she added: The baby girl died. Yakov did not remember his baby from years ago.
Yakov had shut out most of his past, and only thought of profit and losses. However when Yakov later
goes and sits beneath the tree and finally remembers their child, the reader is not ever sure as to
whether he actually remembers the child, or if it is just a figment of his imagination. Another
ambiguity is when Yakov leaves the cemetary after Marfa s burial it is said that he didn t feel well.
However it is never clarified if he is physically ill, or emotionally ill. If Yakov is only emotionally ill
and ends up dying from this it would indicate that Yakov is much more deeply connected to Marfa
than has previously been shown. This would perpetuate the theme of loss, because if he was extremely
close to his wife, then her loss is only that much more painful to him. Loss is surely the main recurring
theme throughout Rothschild s Fiddle . Yakov in

Relationship Between Parents And Parents Spend More Time...
Simple causal relationship tells of the varied effects to society when parents spend more time with
their children. Again, the report by Gerard Clark from New Zealand puts into words some of these
effects. He pointed out how secure attachment formed in the early months, between parent and child,
is a predictor of resilience in later life . He also pointed to how many adolescent issues like crime,
drug abuse, and mental health have their roots in early childhood.
In an article for The Washington Post, author Jane Waldfogel pointed us to a study in Norway linking
the reduction in high school dropout rate to the country s generous parental leave statute. This lower
dropout rate, they claimed, is because of parental involvement in the early months of the child s life, a
very crucial stage when fathers connect with their children and form the foundations of future
relationship; when mothers get to provide the nourishment that their baby needs through breastfeeding
and the emotional connection this practice forms. Again, a properly designed parental leave can
encourage mothers to nurse their babies, a practice that apparently not only helps make healthy babies
now but also well rounded adults later (n. pag.).
Perhaps another reason more involved parents discourage children from dropping out of school is the
amount of support and guidance they are able to relay to their children. This perceived interest from
parents encourages children to achieve more to make their parents proud.

Pre Assessment Of Student Interest
Pre Assessment of Student Interest: To assess student interest in planning a school dance, I would use
a bubble map. I would ask the students Have they ever attended a school dance? Then I would ask If
you have attend a school dance write down what you liked about the dance. If you haven t attend a
school dance write down what you think you might like to have at a school dance. Example of bubble
map: Students may add more off shoots bubbles if they need to. My PBLBubble Map.docx
As students complete their bubble maps, I would ask them to come up to one of the six poster papers
hanging on the wall, and write one or two of their likes that they had written down. Once all students
had a chance to write down a like on one of the poster papers, the class as a whole would compare the
six list and discuss what they had in common and uncommon with their classmates as far as what they
would like to have at a school dance.
Project Hook: The day that I am pre assessing student interest, with the bubble map and the poster
papers, the classroom will be decorated with balloons, decorations, and streamers. I will call the
principal to my class and she will unveil the project by explain what services she is requesting for the

The Great Dictator s Speech By Charlie Chaplin
In The Great Dictator s Speech spoken by Charlie Chaplin, a famous actor in the early 20th century,
seems to talk about the evils in the world and how mankind should all unite and make peace with one
another without the need for war, death, and petty rivalries. However, the goal of the speaker in this
speech actually points towards his desire to gain power, which he will then abuse as it is written in the
name, The Great Dictators Speech. The main purpose of the speech itself is to inform people and all of
humanity has the power of themselves rather than a dictator. In other words: Freedom and peace in the
world. Chaplin s character talks of how man has fallen, succumbed to greed and misery, which then
turns into war and bloodshed. He uses this to convince people they all must set aside their differences
to unite as one to prevent future struggles in the world. In his first quote Chaplin says, We all want to
help one another. human beings are like that. We want to live by each other s happiness not by each
other s misery. We don t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for
everyone. He is stating in this text that the world would be a better place should people work together
and exercise the love of looking out for one another. If men weren t so preoccupied with greed and
self gratification, negative emotions like hate and misery would cease. The next quote states, The hate
of men will pass, and dictators will die, and the power they

Concrete Patio Vs Wood Deck Research Paper
Why A Concrete Patio May Be Better Than A Wood Deck
Before you install a deck in your backyard, be sure to compare the advantages of going with a
concrete patio instead. Concrete is affordable, versatile, and best of all, it needs very little
maintenance. Here s why a concrete patio may be a better choice for you than a wood deck.
Concrete Is Durable
A concrete patio should last as long as your house. A wood deck will gradually decompose over time.
Plus, wood is subject to rotting, insect damage, and splintering. It s nearly impossible to damage

The Importance Of Resistance In Nazi Germany
Resistance is always possible no matter the consequences. It is moral, and necessary even when the
odds of success are slim and failure s consequences may lead to death or great suffering. All resistance
is moral and imperative when the resistors are trying to save their own ideas, beliefs and others while
going against the wrongful established order. Without it the consequences of no resistance are far
greater. Those who put their lives on the line to help and save other people are heroes. This was
evident during World War II when individuals, such as normal citizens like the Ten Boom s,
individuals with great influence like Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Andre Trocmé, and even by those who
were being persecuted against, chose to do what was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When a country, like France, experiences freedom and it s taken away, they want it back. They long to
have that freedom again. The Nazis took it away, so some of the French people resisted. They decided
to maintain a positive attitude toward a country that, more than any other, offered freedom and the
chance for a decent life. People didn t want to give up the opportunity for a decent life for themselves
and their children, if they didn t do something, they weren t going to get it back. It became a matter of
survival and way to fight for their former independence. Just like the French people lost their
governmental independence, people can lose their ethical independence. When people like Adolf
Eichmann surrendered their mind to Nazi authority, he gave up his freedom. He didn t resist. Even
though he didn t hold a high position in the Nazi bureaucracy, he had an impactful role of oppressing
others. Surrendering his mind to the Nazis is extremely scary, because it shows how vulnerable
humans are. This proves that so many [humans] were like him, and that the many were neither
perverted nor sadistic, that they were, and still are, terribly and terrifyingly normal. If resistance does
not occur, who wins? More normal people will be dragged down, they will lose their sense of ethics,
morality, and mindfulness and assist mad men on their path of destruction. Not resisting to evil, like
Eichmann allows for morals and ethics to be thrown out the window. People like Joseph

The Financial Struggles Of The Future
Everyday we are faced with the financial struggles of the future. As college students we are worried
about pay rent, bills, and wondering how many times we can defer our student loans because our bank
accounts are on E. Then here are words like savings, retirement, and 401 k plans and it is a completely
foreign language to us. In our heads, how is it even plausible to think about saving money, when all
we see in our current life is money just being taken from us. We spend so much on going through
college trying to get somewhere in life because we were always told you need a degree to make
money. So here we are 4 years later, diploma in hand, and started the career, but have 50,000 dollars in
student loans and trying to plan for when we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In my head student loans were not an options because I did not want to owe a bank just because I
wanted to further my education. Thats when I decided that I would start out at a local college and
would transfer. After fighting with the university I wanted to go to and working in a nursing home, I
changed my major and ended up staying at the local college. Which made my tuition a whole lot less.
Although my tuition is now taken care of I still have to worry about rent, and bills. My part time job
barely covers everything, and if I were ever to get shorted on hours I would be tapping in to the weak
saving I have. So here I am living pay check to pay check and not only trying to plan and gauge my
future for the next 5, 10, 20 years but the big retirement. In my head I know how important it is
because I have watched my grandparents suffer over the years. My grandfather is 73 and works 6 days
a week so him and my grandmother can back pay everything they missed when she lost her job. I
know I don t want to be that old, and working that much. I will want to be taking care of grandkids
and traveling everywhere I haven t already seen.
With every good retirement plan there needs to be an end goal. My end goal is to live comfortably; I
do not need a fancy house or expensive things. I wanting to have a car and house completely paid off,
with no plan on moving into a retirement

Psoriasis
Most of the time when a person is nervous or sad, they become sensitive when other people are aware
of these feelings and quickly try to learn to hide their emotions. Many ways you can determine this
nervousness is a person may breathe heavily, stumble on their words, and avoid eye contact during a
presentation. All of these may be true, but the most obvious factor of nervousness affects the body s
largest organ the skin. When a person blushes, it is easily exposed that the person is nervous. The
linkage between skin and psychology plays an important factor in life and may be the root of all acne,
eczema, trichotillomania. These days, dermatologists are much more accepting of the field now known
as psychodermatology, which addresses the interaction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is a common dermatologic disorder that often goes undetected and untreated where the body does
not shed their excess skin cells, but instead the skin cells pile up on the surface of the skin, causing
thick red plaques covered with silvery scales. Psoriasis may look contagious, but it s not. When the
immune system functions properly, the system protects the body against any invaders that might make
you sick, such as bacteria, viruses or other pathogens. But in people with psoriasis, the immune
system goes into action even without these invaders. Instead, the immune system fights the body s
own tissues. Although it is a genetic condition, stress can have an impact on the immune system as
well and doctors have long suspected a link between stress and psoriasis. According to
Psychodermatology: A Guide to Understanding Common Psychocutaneous Disorders, stress has been
reported in 44% of patients prior to the initial flare of psoriasis, and recurrent flares have been
attributed to stress in up to 80% of individuals. Early onset psoriasis before age 40 may be more easily
triggered by stress than late onset disease, and patients who self report high levels of psychologic
stress may have more severe skin and joint

The author points out that a nation is not a product in the conventional sense . The Nation itself can
hardly be changed, the benefits are purely emotional, the Image is complicated and the ownership is
unclear. A nation brand is not centered on any specific product, service or cause that can be promoted
directly to the customer. But Nation branding concerns a countries whole image, covering political,
economic, historical and cultural dimensions. A Nation has not one but multiple images. What image
is retrieved depends on the audience , the context and the time. The author finds out that negative
national image does not necessarily affect the purchase of products made by that country, by giving
the example of Japan and China. The author tries to find out the direction of the correlation between
countries that have produced strong brands and those that are strong brands themselves . Nation
branding must be distinctive and help the country to position itself against competitors . A difficulty is
that an international

Trial By Ordeal
Intro:
Trial by ordeal and judicial punishment are practices that were relied on as pre modern judicial
institutions.
It will be argued in this paper that by examining the historical circumstances surrounding their
emergence and their use, it is possible to come to an understanding of the role they played in these
societies as well as well as their appeal.
Trial By Ordeal
Trial by ordeal was a judicial institution relied on in medieval era in England and the European
Continent. Ordeals were used to determine someone s guilt or innocence by putting the accused
through a physically painful act and relying on a sign from God to pronounce their guilt (Langbein,
2008, p.44). For example, one method used in England was ordeal by hot iron. ... Show more content

The Framework Of Laws And Rules That Govern The...
The framework of laws and rules that govern the administration of justice in cases involving an
individual who has been accused of a crime. This process is begun with the initial investigation of the
crime committed and following up with either the unconditional release from an acquittal, or by
granting one with a term punishment depending on the severity of the crime.
As a safeguard, criminal proceedings are against the indiscriminate application of criminal laws. Laws
are designed and used in order to enforce the constitution written by our founding fathers. The
american criminal justice process begins with the initial police contact and continuing through an
arrest, investigation, trial, sentencing, and appeals.
The first step in the process is the investigation. Once an offender initially commits a crime and
officers are contacted and make an arrest, they have to investigate further into the crime at hand.
Evidence is then gathered and follow up investigations attempt to put the pieces on chronological
order to show what happened before and during the time of the crime. There are also many efforts to
identify some possible suspects to further the next step of the criminal justice process.
The next stage to the process of finding a criminal offender is getting the judge to agree to a warrant.
A warrant provides the legal basis for an apprehension of a suspect. Once officers have their warrant,
they will be able to search for more evidence that may pertin

Eat At My Restaurant Cash Flow Review
Eat at My Restaurant Cash Flow Review
Remaining profitable in the restaurant industry is a requirement conceivably not considered as
difficult for common chains like Taco Bell, Panera and Starbucks. Many factors impact the
sustainability of cash flow for the restaurant industry when looking at changes in market trends for a
product, menu pricing, and inventory management. Consistent to each of the parent companies for
these restaurants however, is the need to ensure adequate and positive cash flow to satisfy the
corporation s stakeholders. An evaluation of these three parent companies to identify potential cash
flow problems will consider each firm s long term profitability, offer observations on cash flows and
potential risk from the potential investor s perspective.
Long term Profitability
Where long term profitability for an investor is the basis for the choice of where to invest, one should
differentiate difference between net cash from operating activities and net income. Net cash from
operating activities represents cash generated from the primary business function (Gibson, 2013), in
this case food service. It is essentially a line item in the overarching net income of the company which
demonstrates the company s profitability.
With these two values, an investor can differentiate the effect of increasing, declining or stagnant sales
from the overarching reported net income value of the organization. The best indicator of long term
profitability will be net

In its attempt to monopolize, Anheuser Busch InBev has set a primary focus on forming stronger
relationships with distributors throughout the country, including in Cincinnati. Some of these
relationships have gone as far as Anheuser Busch InBev buying out distributors. This dynamic worries
Dan more than any other aspect, as a local microbrewery s success is based highly on its relationship
with distributors and their ability to effectively sell the product. This monopoly has shown an interest
in and ability to strangle Listermann s at the distribution stage, causing the microbrewery drop offs in
profit and reputation in the eyes of distributors. Some small breweries have already caved in under the
pressure, as part of this monopolization includes buying up any microbreweries that are willing to sell.
If this trend continues, it could be disastrous for Listermann s, because Dan has used the same strategy
of relying on consistent distributors ever since he opened, and he has never had to repair that
relationship or find a new strategy. In addition to their attempt to buy out distributors, Anheuser Busch
InBev has shown the money and resources to buy out employees from small beer producers like
Listermann s. Dan pointed out that this trend has already begun, as he has lost more employees

  • 2. Recombivax HBV Vaccine Analysis Hepatitis B immune globulin remains a central component of prophylaxis in HBV infected patients undergoing liver transplantation. Its monotherapy given at a high dosage can prevent recurrence in 65% to 80% of patients. The cost of long term prophylaxis with high dose HBIG is extremely high and combination therapy using HBIG with a nucleoside analog is more uniformly effective. The current protocol is combination of HBIG with a nucleoside analog after liver transplantation. These combination protocols have reduced the rate of virologic breakthrough to 10% or less (Terrault and Vyas, 2003). Prevention of primary infection by vaccination is also an important strategy to decrease the risk of chronic HBV infection and its subsequent complications. The hepatitis B vaccine contains a protein(antigen) that stimulates the body(immune system) to make protective antibodies or adaptive immunity against the virus (Goldstein et al.,2005). The use vaccines like Engerix B and Recombivax HB(monovalent vaccines) as single antigen hepatitis B vaccines are typically given as a 3 shot series. • 5. The Frogs Aristophanes The Frogs was first performed at the festival of Dionysus in 504BC, a year before the end of the Peloponnesian war, and was so well received it not only won the competition for comedy, but was also given an encore taking the form of a second performance in that same year. At the time of the plays performance Athens was run by an assembly of its citizens, in some ways comparable to a modern democracy, where any man who had completed two years of military service was able to vote. Politics therefore was an important part of Athenian life, with many young men studying the art of debating, something reflected in The Frogs by its many references and illusions to political figures. It is hard to doubt that in his play Aristophanes intended to educate or inform his audience, especially considering the plays many allusions to the advisory role of poets. The objective of this essay therefore is not to answer the question does Aristophanes inform, educate and entertain his audience in the frogs but to identify both where and how he does so, both linguistically and structurally. It is hard to doubt that in his inclusion of a parabasis Aristophanes intended to take on the advisory role of a poet. In his article A lesson From Frogs Geoffrey Arnott argued that Aristophanes used the parabasis in Frogs to advocate for two different policies: the pardoning of those exiled after the oligarchic revolution of 411 10, and the formation of a government led by the noblest families in Attica . Joshua must understand that Christa s needs are not just Lenora s responsibility. His participation is detrimental towards the development of their child. Guideline 4: Avoid Mixed, of Double Messages Leonora needs to mitigate criticizing Joshua on how his income doesn t cover the monthly expenses. She should demonstrate that if she returned to work, the financial burden would be reduced. Joshua s perspective on day care should be emphasized because it will produce an unnecessary expense. Furthermore, a large part of their income would result in the consumption of day care. Guideline 5: When You Can, Choose the Time and Place Carefully Lenora and Joshua should set time aside to discuss their conflict instead of randomly arguing over the same issues. By doing this, it gives each other time to put thoughts together instead of saying something that they don t mean or is derogatory. Guideline 6: Address a Specific Issue, Ask for a Specific Change, and Be Open to Compromise Lenora needs to express her desire to go back to work because it will benefit both Christa and the family. But at the same time, Lenora should consider the affect it will have on her when she goes back to work. Who Is Puck In A Midsummer Night s Dream Although there is no true protagonist in the story, many people would argue that Puck is the most important character in the Midsummer nights dream play. Many of the major conflicts in this story happen because of Puck. For example when Oberon sent Puck to find the magical flower and place it on Demetrius eye . Since Puck had never seen what Demetrius looks like he accidentally puts the flower juice on Lysander s eye, causing Lysander to fall in love with Helena. Oberon sees the mistake Puck has made and sends him to fix the problem, so Puck goes out and puts the flower juice on Demetrius eye while he is asleep. He is noted as a handsome boy a world of privilege handed to him as he spends his early years trying to fit in with his new classmates. His high school career is spent at a boarding school from which he moves to Princeton. After failing a math class, Amory loses his first definition of himself and turns to philosophy instead of his graceful conversation. Amory s love life is likely the greatest window Fitzgerald gives the reader into the social structure of the 20 s. Amory quarts girls from a young age, attending dances and parlor parties one after the other. He also attends a bobbing party, a popular get together in the 20 s in which girls would cut their hair short in a large group. Today, a simple prayer is considered offensive and unconstitutional. A prayer is meant to be a conversation with God; a personal connection to a sovereign being of choice. I personally believe that prayer is beneficial. Prayer calms my mind and gives me the chance to thank God for all of his blessings. Granted, not everyone believes in the same God that I do. I believe most people would probably agree that there is some form of higher power that everyone has to answer to. One of the things that I love about being an American, are the freedoms that I have. On June 25, 1962, the United States Supreme Court voted 6 to 1 in favor of banning the Regents Prayer. The Justices considered the prayer a direct contradiction to the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment which prohibits the government from sponsoring or favoring any religion...prayer is a purely religious activity that should be left to the people, not the government (Haas 48). Rothschilds Fiddle Jackson Weeks Harold English 101 1 31 13 Chekhov s Use of Futliarnost to Develop Yakov and the Importance of Morals in Rothschild s Fiddle Futliarnost, a Russian literature theme which is often present in Anton Chekhov s short stories, is when a character is encased in a situation and can not escape. In Rothschild s Fiddle , Yakov is entrapped in an almost trance like state, that is brought about by loss and remorse in his life. Is Yakov ever released from this state, through Marfa s death, or any other instance and does Chekhov intend for the reader to see one single moral in this story? Perhaps she was just rosy from the fever, or more likely just relieved that she was finally going to be released from her dreary life of being frightened by Yakov, mistreated, and not appreciated. Even though Marfa only has a small presence in the text, she is a great tool for Chekhov. She is used to bring up Yakov s past. Marfa says Do you remember fifty years ago God gave us a little baby with flaxen hair? We used always to be sitting by the river then, singing songs . . . under the willows, and laughing bitterly, she added: The baby girl died. Yakov did not remember his baby from years ago. Yakov had shut out most of his past, and only thought of profit and losses. However when Yakov later goes and sits beneath the tree and finally remembers their child, the reader is not ever sure as to whether he actually remembers the child, or if it is just a figment of his imagination. Another ambiguity is when Yakov leaves the cemetary after Marfa s burial it is said that he didn t feel well. However it is never clarified if he is physically ill, or emotionally ill. If Yakov is only emotionally ill and ends up dying from this it would indicate that Yakov is much more deeply connected to Marfa than has previously been shown. This would perpetuate the theme of loss, because if he was extremely close to his wife, then her loss is only that much more painful to him. Loss is surely the main recurring theme throughout Rothschild s Fiddle . Yakov in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Relationship Between Parents And Parents Spend More Time... Simple causal relationship tells of the varied effects to society when parents spend more time with their children. Again, the report by Gerard Clark from New Zealand puts into words some of these effects. He pointed out how secure attachment formed in the early months, between parent and child, is a predictor of resilience in later life . He also pointed to how many adolescent issues like crime, drug abuse, and mental health have their roots in early childhood. In an article for The Washington Post, author Jane Waldfogel pointed us to a study in Norway linking the reduction in high school dropout rate to the country s generous parental leave statute. This lower dropout rate, they claimed, is because of parental involvement in the early months of the child s life, a very crucial stage when fathers connect with their children and form the foundations of future relationship; when mothers get to provide the nourishment that their baby needs through breastfeeding and the emotional connection this practice forms. Again, a properly designed parental leave can encourage mothers to nurse their babies, a practice that apparently not only helps make healthy babies now but also well rounded adults later (n. pag.). Perhaps another reason more involved parents discourage children from dropping out of school is the amount of support and guidance they are able to relay to their children. This perceived interest from parents encourages children to achieve more to make their parents proud. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Great Dictator s Speech By Charlie Chaplin In The Great Dictator s Speech spoken by Charlie Chaplin, a famous actor in the early 20th century, seems to talk about the evils in the world and how mankind should all unite and make peace with one another without the need for war, death, and petty rivalries. However, the goal of the speaker in this speech actually points towards his desire to gain power, which he will then abuse as it is written in the name, The Great Dictators Speech. The main purpose of the speech itself is to inform people and all of humanity has the power of themselves rather than a dictator. In other words: Freedom and peace in the world. Chaplin s character talks of how man has fallen, succumbed to greed and misery, which then turns into war and bloodshed. He uses this to convince people they all must set aside their differences to unite as one to prevent future struggles in the world. In his first quote Chaplin says, We all want to help one another. human beings are like that. We want to live by each other s happiness not by each other s misery. People didn t want to give up the opportunity for a decent life for themselves and their children, if they didn t do something, they weren t going to get it back. Eat At My Restaurant Cash Flow Review Eat at My Restaurant Cash Flow Review Remaining profitable in the restaurant industry is a requirement conceivably not considered as difficult for common chains like Taco Bell, Panera and Starbucks. Many factors impact the sustainability of cash flow for the restaurant industry when looking at changes in market trends for a product, menu pricing, and inventory management. Consistent to each of the parent companies for these restaurants however, is the need to ensure adequate and positive cash flow to satisfy the corporation s stakeholders. An evaluation of these three parent companies to identify potential cash flow problems will consider each firm s long term profitability, offer observations on cash flows and potential risk from the potential investor s perspective. Long term Profitability Where long term profitability for an investor is the basis for the choice of where to invest, one should differentiate difference between net cash from operating activities and net income. Net cash from operating activities represents cash generated from the primary business function (Gibson, 2013), in this case food service. It is essentially a line item in the overarching net income of the company which demonstrates the company s profitability. With these two values, an investor can differentiate the effect of increasing, declining or stagnant sales from the overarching reported net income value of the organization. The best indicator of long term profitability will be net ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Listermann s Brewing Company Essay Founded in 1991 by Dan and Sue Listermann, Listermann s Brewing Company is a family run microbrewery located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Known for its family friendly environment and unique, intimate culture, Listermann s houses 19 employees, half of which are full time. Listermann s prides itself on its humble beginnings, starting as a home brewery located in the Hamilton County Business Center, as well as its commitment to its values, refusing to cut corners in production and manufacturing or sell to those underage in order to enhance profits. Listermann s sets itself apart from other microbreweries through its diversification, offering classes, game nights, and a local watering hole for individuals to come every day after work, in addition to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In its attempt to monopolize, Anheuser Busch InBev has set a primary focus on forming stronger relationships with distributors throughout the country, including in Cincinnati. Some of these relationships have gone as far as Anheuser Busch InBev buying out distributors. This dynamic worries Dan more than any other aspect, as a local microbrewery s success is based highly on its relationship with distributors and their ability to effectively sell the product. This monopoly has shown an interest in and ability to strangle Listermann s at the distribution stage, causing the microbrewery drop offs in profit and reputation in the eyes of distributors. Some small breweries have already caved in under the pressure, as part of this monopolization includes buying up any microbreweries that are willing to sell. If this trend continues, it could be disastrous for Listermann s, because Dan has used the same strategy of relying on consistent distributors ever since he opened, and he has never had to repair that relationship or find a new strategy. In addition to their attempt to buy out distributors, Anheuser Busch InBev has shown the money and resources to buy out employees from small beer producers like Listermann s. Dan pointed out that this trend has already begun, as he has lost more employees ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
