Ketchup Industry Analysis
Industry Analysis
The global ketchup market has a value of 4.15 billion USD and is expected to grow another 1.1 billion
by 2022 (Mordor, 2017). Heinz Ketchup is the global leader in the ketchup industry with 80 percent
market share in Europe, and 60 percent market share in the United States. The Industry does have a lot
of competition however, there are 7 major competitors in the global ketchup market making up around
90% of all market shares. The top 4 in the global ketchup industry are: ConAgra Foods, Del Monte
Foods, HUL, and the leader Kraft Heinz (Mordor, 2017).
The condiment industry as a whole was fairly stagnant from 2011 through 2016 because of higher
input costs, which lead to manufactures raising their prices to keep their earnings improving (IBIS,
2016). According to the International Markets Bureau, sauces, dressings, and condiments have a
CAGR from 2007 2012 of only 2.7 percent (Agr.cr.2012). PRNewswire explains that the condiment
industry has its challenges, with consumers focusing on healthier alternatives, the condiment industry
is shifting towards healthier alternatives and changing ingredients in their products in order to bring in
the health conscious consumer (Condiment Sauce market, 2015).
Competitor Analysis
Hunts, Delmonte, French s, and Store brands are the largest competitors in the ketchup market (M2
Presswire, 2014). While Heinz is the leader, they are closely followed by Hunts. Heinz also has
secondary competition with other condiments,

How Does Twain Characterize In Huck Finn
Twain, Mark. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Webster, 1885. The novel, The Adventures of
Huckleberry Finn, is among the first major vernacular English American literature, according to
Wikipedia. It features a fictional first person account of people and towns along the Mississippi River
in Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas. Huckleberry Huck Finn is a teenage boy, who is raised by his
drunken father and has difficulty conforming to society. The plot begins with a recap of The
Adventures of Tom Sawyer, explaining how Huck Finn and Tom had just came into a large sum of
money and that Huck Finn was currently being sivilized by Widow Douglas. Twain s novel provides a
satirical view of a racist society during the mid 1800 s, through the perspective of Huckleberry Finn.
Although The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was published in the late 1800 s, it is still widely
popular throughout the world today (Wikipedia).

Effects Of Snapchat s Technological Disruption In The...
Snapchat s Technological Disruption in the Social Media Industry Throughout the past two decades,
social media has become a prevalent tool in one s life for purposes such as social interaction from a
distance, easy accessible information, and personal satisfaction from its entertainment. Facebook
introduced photography in social media, Twitter s purpose was to have a status consisting of short,
written expressions, and Instagram introduced filters into sharing photos and videos. Due to
technological advances, each of these companies have been able to change society s use of social
media overtime. However, one hot and new company has been able to technologically disrupt the
social media industry by giving their user a tremendously different experience with digital interaction.
This modern social media juggernaut was founded by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy and Reggie
Brown in 2011 (Brown no longer has affiliation with the company). Snapchat is an application
designed for one to share photos and videos which disappear in a maximum of ten seconds. This
allows its users to send or post any information without having to stress about others judgement or the
fear of regret. In an interview with The Telegraph, Spiegel mentions one key reason why he created
Snapchat: Snapchat changed that perception of deleting something as bad. Online typically you delete
something if it s bad or if it s really embarrassing. What Snapchat said was if we try to model
conversations as they occur

Canadian Income Inequality And Its Impact
Canadian Income Inequality and Its Impact Sarah Pitre 100 511 731 University of Ontario Institute of
Technology Canada has always taken great pride in its health care system. Publicly funded, Medicare
has helped many, but has also aided in masking one of this country s largest growing problems.
Income inequality is highly prevalent throughout Canada, affecting the health of its citizens, and over
burdening its health care system. The growing gap between incomes is largely in part to the economic
neoliberalism taking place within Canada. The stress placed on lower and middle income families
through various social determents of health is taking its toll on society and its individuals. The

This income inequality started with Canada s most recent recession, but as we left this recession
income inequality continued to rise. The Gini coefficient is the most widely used measure of
inequality, comparing the dispersion of income throughout a nations citizens. Over the past few years
the Canadian Gini coefficient has been steadily increasing. In a study completed by Picot, G and Hou,
F of Statistics Canada it was found that Income inequality typically rises in recessions, as it did in the
early 1980s and 1990s, and therefore might be expected to fall in economic expansions. But this did
not occur in the late 1990s expansion, and this period instead displayed the largest rise income
inequality in the past three decades. This rise in income inequality continues to burden Canadian
residents, increasing social determents of health within the country. The government has placed the
responsibilities of housing, child care, education, retirement and much more on the individual. With
all of the stress and responsibility placed on individuals, the Canadian government continues to make
cuts to public expenditure on government aids. Depriving citizens of any safety nets and blaming them
for being unable to acquire these underfunded social services. All of this stress has a significant impact

Comparing The Birthday Party The Moonstone, By Harold...
Compare how the relationship between genders is presented in any two texts studied this term
Harold Pinter and Wilkie Collins both appear to realistically demonstrate the relationship between
genders through the works of literature. Within their pieces, The Birthday Party The Moonstone, the
novelist and playwright are successfully able to mirror the way in which the interaction between the
sexes have developed over time, I feel especially from a woman s point of view. This essay introduces
the argument that these readings have been influenced in their production through the way society in
Britain has shaped the female and male gender relations. The thesis will be presenting the shift of the
interactions within creative writing, as a consequence of a changing hierarchy for the duration of
history ; focusing predominantly on the two periods which the play and novel are set around.
Upon gender being explored within The Birthday Party, a prime example to peruse are Meg the
landlady, and Stanley the lodger, as to interpret the correlation between sexes and the roles they both
are expected to enforce . Despite her being his senior ;as well as married, it is immediately evident
that there is a latent flirtatious undertone in which the two communicate with one another. This is clear
in Act 1 where Meg takes it upon herself to enter Stanley s room in the claims of wanting to wake him
up: I m coming to get you! (Pinter, 13). Due to being inappropriately intimate, it becomes

How I Got The Best From Designers As A Product Manager
How to get the best from designers as a product manager When I started out in this industry I was a
designer (which at that time, also meant I was a front end developer). I then became a project manager
leading teams of designers, developers and UXers. For the past few years I have returned full circle to
doing what I love; design. My journey around various job roles has helped me to understand design
from many different angles. This article is a list of top 4 things I ve learnt along the way about how to
get the best from designers. 1. Engage your designers early on If the designers you work with are not
involved in requirements gathering for a project you re going to have problems from the start. Imagine
that you re given a compass ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2. Understand the type of designers you are working with There are many different skill sets in the
discipline of design. When we talk about designers there are many different job titles and roles.
Broadly speaking you are likely to work with three types of designers: Interaction designers these
types of designers focus on creating engaging UI elements, behaviours and actions to creative intuitive
products and services. Visual Designers these types of designers focus on the look and feel of the
product and brand across the whole product or service UX Designers these types of designers focus on
assessing the needs and experience users have with a product or service and designing solutions to
meet those needs. Most designers you come across will be multi disciplined in some way but each will
be different. If you re lucky you ll have someone that is all three, but don t expect all designers to have
all of these skills. The only way to really understand is to get to know the designers on your product
team and what their strengths are but more importantly what motivates them. Some designers may
need a jumpstart to get their creative juices flowing. Ideation workshops or sketch sessions, like those
used in GV design sprints, can help with this. Even just sitting with a developer and

Short Summary Of The Sniper
In The Sniper , a cold hearted depiction of war, Liam O Flaherty follows a young Republican sniper
through a typical day amongst the callous bloodshed. The story opens with the Sniper, bathed in soft
light emanating from the moon, drawing smoke from his cigarette. For a while there is the gentle
illusion of normality, however, before long, the silence of peace is shattered by an appearance of an
armored car and enemy informant. Driven by his need to survive, the Sniper shoots them down,
without even once wondering about their intentions. As he eliminates the threat, another enemy sniper
catches him in the arm with a carefully aimed bullet, forcing him to retreat behind the roof. Reminded
constantly of the death waiting for him by the corpses of the people he killed, the Sniper grinds his
teeth and overcomes his pain, formulating a plan that would allow him to survive. Before the sun
rises, the Sniper tricks the enemy Sniper into believing him dead. When the enemy sniper stands up in
fabricated victory, the Sniper takes him down, ignoring his bleeding arm and screaming conscience.
Before he can decide to report back to his commander, the Sniper is hit with a strangely compelling
need to find out who the enemy Sniper was. Risking his life and dodging numerous bullets from a
machine gun, he gets off the roof and reaches the body on the ground. When he flips it over, the face
that stares back at him is the lifeless mask of none other than his brother. On this

European Reformation
According to Boise State University s Europe In The Age Of The Reformation: Economic History, the
two vital developments that influenced the economy during the Reformation were the rise of prices
and the shift from trade centered on the Mediterranean to one focused on the Atlantic. The creation of
money markets and the general increase of sophisticated business practices, as well as the ossification
of the divide between the eastern and western European agricultural systems in conjunction with an
intense development of rural industry, were impacts of the reformations. The middle class has a strong

Gambling
Topic: The down side of gambling
General Purpose: To argue
Specific Purpose: To argue against how gambling should be allowed in all cities because it helps
generate more income, allows for more jobs and helps struggling cities.
Thesis Statement: Gambling should be banned from the United States because it allows people to
spend more than they actually have, it doesn t actually help the unemployment rate and brings more
violence.
Introduction
I. [Attention Getter]: Having money without having to work really hard to get more than you really
have. That would be nice!
II. [Establish Controversy/Justify Topic]: I want to make an argument about gambling effects in cites

III. The third reason is that gambling brings more violence to those areas.
A. In an article by Hjelmeland in the state like Colorado, New Jersey and South Dakota there is a
direct connection between these areas and the crime rates, with the crime rate being the highest in the
state per 10,000 residents. (Hjelmeland 1)
B. The majority of the crime comes because of an increase in tourists which attract for the opportunity
to have more crime against the tourists. (Hjelmeland 1)
Conclusion
I. [Restatment]: In conclusion, we should ban legalizing gambling in all the cities in the United States.
A. First people spend more money than they actually have.
B. Second it doesn t actually help the unemployment rate or the economy.
C. Third gambling brings more violence those areas.

Economic Effects of the Foreign Exchange Rate

This paper tackles the effects of the foreign exchange rate as a whole and how it affects the country
and at the same time how it gets affected. This paper enumerates the advantages and disadvantages of
having a strong Peso. The paper also discusses what factors affect the strengthening and weakening of
the Philippine Peso. This paper also includes an in depth analysis of how the foreign exchange could
affect and gets affected by the economy, the society and politics.

P53.59 per dollar. This was caused by the Higher risk aversion in the global markets and the possible
increase of the Federal Reserve Bank s interest rate. Conversely, the peso appreciated by 1.66%
reaching to a level of P52.31 per dollar on June and closed at P51.97 per dollar on July 25, after the
president s State of the Nation Address. And by August, it reached to a P51.33 per dollar rate,
increasing by 1.90% from its previous rate. Due to the increasing confidence by investors and
improving economic conditions, the peso further increased its value and reached to an average rate of
P50.37 per dollar in September and P49.91 in early October, the highest level since 2002.
Volatility during the year 2006:
Due to oil price roll backs and the approval of the RVAT law, the peso s volatility improved early in
January 2006 averaging P0.19. It continued its trend in March to an average of P0.13. However, the
peso s volatility increased to P0.30 in April and P0.59 in May which was caused by the depreciation of
the value of the currency. In June, volatility decreased to P0.23. This was attributable to the increase
of the country s GDP by 5.5% in the second quarter of 2006. But it rose again in July to an average of
P0.43. This was

The Values And Development Of The Ancient Maya Civilizations
The complex societies and civilizations that the world is made up of today, were formed and shaped
by groups of smaller traditional societies of the past. These small traditional civilizations that popped
up and evolved all around the world in all sorts of different areas and locations laid the stepping stones
for life as we know it today. While the civilizations did not necessarily press their values on others,
other societies saw valuable practices and took them on themselves. One unique traditional society
that has had a lasting impact on the world is the ancient Maya civilization. What makes the Mayans
and their society a unique civilization were their economic activities, social arrangements, and
political organizations which all helped their society develop over time, thus helped future
civilizations to come to flourish using their ideas and traditions.
Traditional societies begin with a small number of people living in one particular geographical region.
Their traditions help them to achieve a flourishing society over time. They do so by passing their ideas
and practices on from one generation to the next. Some of these traditions include cultural values and
practices defined through the people group s economic activities, social arrangements, and political
organization.A traditional society flourishes using these passed on values and practices, rather than
through impact of practices from other rival or complex civilizations.

Gilgamesh As An Epic Hero Essay
An epic hero is a protagonist whose life is a series of well marked adventures which typically change
the hero into a better, more refined person. These heroes are typically characterized by courage,
strength, honor, and the hardships they endure and eventually overcome. An epic hero can even be
known to risk his or her life for the good of others. Gilgamesh and Achilles are perfect examples of
what an epic hero truly is. They are both able to become successful despite their flaws and go on to
become powerful men.
Gilgamesh was two parts god and one part man. Many considered him to have far more power and
strength than he was able to handle. He was a fierce, ruthless warrior and King who loved his country.

They were strong warriors who had extreme potential. Their character flaws however create setbacks.
Each of these heroes had a close friend who died. For Gilgamesh it was Enkidu and for Achilles it was
Patroclus. When these men died, our epic heroes were sent over the edge. Their means of grief were
very different though. Achilles took a more emotional approach. He fasted, smeared himself with ash,
beat the ground with his fists, and was emotionally distraught for days. The epic states that he utters a
terrible, wrenching cry that his own mother hears him and approaches him with the water nymphs to
learn of what is upsetting her son. After recovering from his emotional state, his anger then motivates
him to return to battle. Gilgamesh however, refrained from outward emotions and instead went on a
quest to help determine where exactly his friend went after passing.
After reading the stories of Gilgamesh and Achilles, I was better able to understand what an epic hero
truly was. An epic hero is someone who is strong, courageous, successful in battle, values honor and
glory, faces hardships, fights off those hardships, accepts challenges and achieves his goal. Gilgamesh
and Achilles both display all of the above

Agape By Greek Summary
Slide 1:
Nisan
In English, there is only one word for love. In Greek, there are three. Eros is the physical love, Philia
is brotherly love, or sisterly love shared amongst siblings and close friends. Agape is a love that gives
and asks nothing in return.
All three can be experienced in different varieties, but each carries great burdens. Eros must remember
that the other is a living, breathing being, not just an object. Philia must not take unjust, selfish
advantage of the other. Agape does all those things above and much more, with no expectation of
return. Agape is a love that does not require that the other should meet high standards of beauty, nor of
brains, nor of brawn. Agape gives without question, or reason, a God love, you might say, something
that Hephaestus wasn t seen as worthy of.

Some fashion photography has appeared to exploit the poor by featuring the poverty stricken in ads
for high priced, high fashion items, according to The New York Times. Featuring the poor with items
or accessories beyond their means for the purpose of selling those items to the affluent has raised
questions about ethical practice.
Working Conditions
To keep costs minimum, fashion industries set up factories overseas where safety rules is not at all a
concern and wages lower than in the US. The conditions in these factories can lead to tragic
consequences (building collapse that killed 400 garment workers in Bangladesh.)
Impact on environment
Garment manufacturing leads to serious environmental problems. Cotton, a common material in
garments, requires heavy pesticide use. The production of synthetic polyester fabric yields a number
of hazardous byproducts, including volatile organic compounds, hydrogen chloride and toxic solvents.

The Unnatural History Of The Sea
On The Unnatural History of the Sea Callum Roberts set himself the difficult task of cataloguing
evidence that today s oceans are depleted and struggling against overfishing and human influence,
while still remaining optimistic about the future of the world s oceans in his book The Unnatural
History of the Sea. Roberts begins by painting a picture of the oceans as they may have been before
human influence had drastically depleted species and changed ecosystems through fishing. From this
point, he maps out centuries of development in fishing and shows how drastically changed and
depleted the world s oceans are today because of human exploitation. With the explanation of modern
day fishery policy and a strong case against the practice of trawling, Roberts shows how humanity
continues to exploit the ocean as if it were an endless resource. In spite of all this, the author, in the
end, attempts to develop a positive outlook by explaining what can be done to stop the rapid
decimation of fisheries, including reevaluation of fishery regulations and development of marine
reserves. Historical accounts of abundant fisheries can clearly show the phenomenon of shifting
baselines when compared to what we observe in our oceans today. Roberts argues for Pauly s shifting
baseline theory and provides strong evidence supporting its existence. In order to stop historical
amnesia and the attitude that the ocean is an endless resource, we must be able to understand how we
have changed the

Relationship Between Vivian And Molly
In any genuine friendship there are the differences between the people that spark curiosity, yet, it is
similarities that draw two together to form a tight bond. This is evident in the friendship that starts
between Vivian and Molly. Vivian, from outward show, does not display the slightest similarity with
Molly. It is not until one examines the often tragic back stories of both that striking parallels begin to
be made clear. By the time all is uncovered, the likenesses shared between Vivian and Molly far
outweigh any disparities. In examining the relationship between Vivian and Molly, a perfect balance is
struck in Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. In Orphan Train, Christina Baker Kline weaves a
strong friendship between two characters, Vivian and Molly, despite a lengthy list of differences. The
most blatant contrast, and the root cause of many other differences, is age and the separate eras both
Vivian and Molly grow up in. In the span of her life, Vivian Nielsen, a ninety one year old widow,
experiences the Great Depression, World War II, and a technology boom impossible to keep up with.
On the other hand, Molly Ayer is a sixteen year old tech savvy foster child who uses her Goth persona
like armor against an unsympathetic society (Kline 4). Another dissimilarity is ethnicity. Vivian is a
first generation Irish immigrant and in being a Penobscot Native American Indian, Molly is unable to
be more different than Vivian. While these differences seem apparent, the

Analysis Of The Film 3 Of Yuma

recover back his home, save the town, is to be a hero. The hero needs to catch the suspect that is
ruining the town, and killing innocent people. Therefore, the suspect needs to be escorted to a train
that goes to Yuma, but it only comes at a certain time, which is at 3:10 pm. That hero is Dan Evans
that has a lot of experience with weapons because he comes from the civil war. Also Evans has a
missing leg that prevents him from doing things that he cannot do before. However, he has a son name
William Evans that looks up to him, but Dan manages a way to save the town, so he can have a happy

from prison twice. Although, in reality not all heroes wear capes or have super powers, but has a mind
that can control the situation to help out the community, for a happy life.
A hero is does not have to apply to a fairytale, movie, or a book, but a person, who likes to help out an
individual, or the community from killing, raping, or even bullying. In the beginning of the movie
Evans noticed gun shots outside of his ranch, and he saw part of place was getting burn. He knew who
was the person, and was disappointed because he owed money, but he manages somehow to payback.
Linda Seger points out Generally, the hero begins as a non hero; innocent, young, simple, or humble

why and how God exists. Although Leibniz used different reason to show Gods existence such as law,
theology, physics and mathematics he used different strategies to prove that God exist. Leibniz argued
the statement that 2+2=4 which is logically correct. Basically through law, physics, mathematics,
theology, you can simply kind of have an idea of how it is possible to solve how God exists.
Another person is Ivan Karamazov is another person who does not believe that there is a possible
reason to prove the existence of God. Karamazov is a person who does believe in God he just doesn t
believe there is a reason to show how there is proof. Furthermore he does not understand the concept
of geometry and how it works. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Problem of Evil
The philosophical problem of evil is that it didn t happen on purpose its something that just happened
by nature. The term evil goes into response towards people or humans. Sometimes God allows
unwanted things to happen. Although he may allow it to happen maybe he s trying to teach you a
lesson; not saying that God was teaching these children a lesson but I m saying in general things
hypothetically don t happen on purpose it s just something we have no control over. In this case this
type of Evil is Instrumental Evil it s something that has no purpose no intentions of happening it just
happens. Fyodor Dostoevsky is absolutely obsessed with children I believe he might respond in a way
by saying why did this happen to those innocent children. Dostoevsky is upset because when it comes
down to children being severely hurt or suffering he tends to think that it s a portrayal to society. He
doesn t want any more suffering towards children. I in a way can understand his point of view because
I myself do to enjoy children, and I wouldn t want to see no kids nor parents having to go through
with the death of a

Gang Crime And Crime
The phrase gang crime does not portray an image of injured children, cries of civilians, tear gas
consuming the air, and chaos fled around the eyes of the common man. As developing nations become
more independent, one could argue that their crime rate would be decreasing as well. However, gang
related violence has increased as developing countries improve economically, socially, and financially.
As a result, their law enforcement system and corruption has increased to win the race of monetary
influence. Gang related fixed through the acquisition of monetary influence alone. To minimize the
threat of organized gang crime among developing nations, governmental agencies must increase law
enforcement and reduce internal corruption.

The limitation in sustainable law enforcement reduces the likelihood of the complete security of
citizens in developing countries. In addition, internal corruption within governments propel organized
gang crime. The corruption of Venezuelan governments allows an increasingly corrupt system. In this
government, one earns rans by loyalty to a political party ( Global World Report 2013). As gangs earn
merits to a particular party, their crimes are accountable for the money they contribute to a certain
party. Another example of corruption within a government is the South African government. The use
of gangs is often implied to eliminate political opposition. The money that the governments lend
gangs increases the amount of crime they can commit. Often policeman are prone to bribery by gangs
gained by the corrupt officials in the government. According to Human Rights Watch, a human rights
advocacy organization, policeman killed a taxi driver due to bribery: On November 11, a South

Arguments Against Legalizing Drugs
Illegal drugs affect people every day whether it be through consumption or tax dollars collected to
fight the war on drugs. Drugs in America are undoubtedly dangerous and unhealthy; however, many
Americans believe the United States will benefit from legalizing drugs. Prohibition has shown failure
to stop illegal narcotics, therefore he United States should consider legalizing drugs to put an end to
this on going war on drugs. There are many reasons the United States should legalize drugs including
saving money, reducing crime, and making drug consumption safer.
The first benefit of legalizing drugs is saving money. According to we are the drug policy alliance, the
U.S. spends more than $51,000,000,000 annually battling the war on drugs (P, 2002). Every year,
more and more money is consistently spent battling an endless war on drugs. The current continuous

In a regulated and organized environment, drugs would be safer for adults and less reachable to
children. Illegal drugs will no longer be made in the dirtiest facilities and by unqualified individuals.
Drugs will be made by medical specialists, reducing the number of overdose and poisoning deaths.
Illegal drugs are known to be made in dirty facilities. Prohibition on drugs causes users restricted
access to clean hypodermic needles (P, 2002). Drug users inject the drugs such as heroin with
hypodermic needles because that s the way to get the biggest, longest high for the money (2014). If
one consumer has infected blood and some of their blood enters the needle as it s pulled out, the next
person to use the needle is likely to shoot the contaminated blood into their own blood. Legalizing
drugs will slow the spread of AIDS by allowing and promoting the sale of clean hypodermic needles.
With needles being inexpensive and openly accessible, the drug users will not have to share them with
others and risk obtaining a deadly virus such as, HIV and

Summary Of What Does China Think
In the beginning of a book, What Does China Think? by Mark Leonard, introduces the China s rise as
an exceptional and remarkable event in the history that is even considered to be more significant than
9/11 terrorism or Iraq War. Afterward, the author mentions how China affected the world within the
economical perspective; for example, half of the entire world product is labeled Made in China.
Besides focusing on the scale, the author brings us into deeper inquiry about China s rise: How China
s rise will affect the world? Will China keep rising?
The author s analytic opinion begins with a story when he visited the Chinese Academy of Social
Science in Beijing. His purpose was originally merely visiting and exploring the academy; however, ...

The story was about the elders who argued that their horses were better than the zebras, but they found
out that zebras were actually better so that they accepted to embrace. However, the problem was
changing the villagers who were accustomed with the horses. Therefore, the elders painted black
stripes on a few horses. As the time passed, the villagers gradually became used to the zebras. Zhang
Weiying used this kind of approach in pricing. One is sold at controlled price while others are sold at
market price. Eventually, the price will be sold at market price. The Chinese reformer also can use this
appoarch; gradual change would work better than the sudden change.
Special Economic Zone was the center of the China s economic reforms. Special Econmic Zone was

huge numbers of workers contributed to attract the foreign investment in the zone. As a result, China s

Blanche Dubois In A Streetcar Named Desire
Every person in their life has been a Blanche at some point or another in their life. I know that I have
done this personally and am working on bettering that part of myself but I too have been
unrealistically optimistic, or in the word of Mrs. Dubois I don t want realism I want magic. In the
beautifully tragic story of A Streetcar Named Desire we find that Blanche Dubois has stepped into the
next level of fantasy and has not only tried to make others believe the lies she tells but has begun to
believe it herself.
It is important to note why Mrs. Dubois makes up fantasies in her head and why she pushes them off
on others. Blanche says in the play Magic, I try to give that to people. I misrepresent things to them. I
don t tell the truth, I tell what ought to be the truth. By gaining this insight into her mind frame we can
see that she uses a manipulation of the truth as kindness. Her traumatizing experiences such as finding
her husband and later his corpse after committing suicide is too much reality for her and as a defense
mechanism creates a fantasy. In her own way Blanche believes that it is her role to protect others from
a reality that may hurt them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

dislike of oneself. A person being able to evaluate themselves and make changes for the future is

Competitive Gaming
You are presenting a seminar for new marketers on the topic of competitive gaming. Be sure to discuss
positive sum, negative sum, and zero sum games. Provide clear cut examples for each. Discuss the
ethics of the gaming. Research and share an example of a recent price war and how it turned out. Zero
sum, positive sum, and negative sum are terms that refer to the outcome of a dispute and all represent
reward of compensation. The sector of professionals that I am addressing in this group is businessmen
and the circumstance will be the frequently encountered one of negotiation where each tries to procure
something from the dynamic. Zero sum, positive sum, and negative sum can be also interpreted in
more common ways as win win, win lose, and lose lose situations. zero sum situation This is the win
lose situation where it is impossible for one party to advance its position without the other suffering a
corresponding loss. This is called a distributive bargaining situation where, for instance, money is
being reallocated between departments. The more money one department gets, the less the other will
receive. Another scenario is where one person will gain the job at the other s expense (only one will
receive the position). Positive sum This is where the total of winnings and losses is more than zero.
This happens when the size of the pie was somehow enlarged and there is more wealth to distribute
(let s say between the two departments) than there was originally, or

through kissing, coughing, sharing drinking glasses, and related actions. Physician James Turner
states, Seven cases is a big deal. If my child was at Princeton, I d tell him to get vaccinated. I d take it

Hannibal Lecter Mise En Scene Analysis
The lighting, sound, set, and overall mise en scene is used in a way that allows of the feel of suspense
that was in the novel to be translated into film form. For example, one important scene that uses mise
en scene to create this suspense is the scene where we first meet Hannibal Lecter. But first, when
compared to the novel, there are a few key differences regarding the scene and Lecter. In the novel,
Lecter lying is on his bunk in a cell with the front being a wall of bars and the second barrier a stout
nylon net stretched from floor to ceiling and wall to wall (Harris). Clarice is the first to speak,
introducing herself. On the other hand, the film had Hannibal Lecter standing up as if expecting
Clarice Starling, with a glass wall rather than bars to separate them. Lecter is the one to first speak,

Hannibal Lecter is placed in the center of his cell, utilizing the concept of staging. Clarice is then
placed directly in front of him, at first standing before taking a seat. By showing Lecter in the middle
and not off to the side, it gives us a sense of how important Lecter is and will be throughout the film.
Throughout their talk, there are several occasions where the camera follows movements of the
characters. On her walk to meet Lecter the camera follows Clarice through the celled hallway. Another
instance is when Lecter smells Clarice, and the camera follows an upward movement as he cranes his
neck up to the holes on the top of the wall. Lighting is used in this scene to also portray both the
overall mood the film is attempting to depict as well as to show the mood and characteristics of Dr.
Hannibal Lecter. His cell is lit brightly unlike traditional cells would be, which allows for us to see
him unobstructed, much like how the glass wall is used. There is a light on him at all times, using the
standard three point lighting

Childhood Obesity and Its Effect
Childhood obesity is considered to be a serious issue among our youth. Obesity can cause many types
of physical problems, which most are aware of, but it can also cause some undesirable internal
feelings within children and adolescents who suffer from it. Self esteem, or self worth, is important as
it helps develop personality and is a major ingredient to our mental health status (Wang, F. and
Veugelers, P. J., 2008). Some have said obesity may even have a negative effect on cognitive
development, as well. There have been studies performed to research the effects of obesity on children
and adolescents, which I am going to review. First, let me discuss some statistics that have been
measured by the Center for Disease Control and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only could depression result from these feelings of worthlessness, but depending on the child or
adolescent and their desire to be accepted, they could be more prone to developing an eating disorder
later in life ( Phillips, F., 2012). Research has revealed that obesity has been linked to abnormalities in
the makeup of brain tissue and the function of it. Also, there have been animal studies on a part of the
brain known as the cerebellum. In this study, it was discovered that the cells of the cerebellum are
affected by external stimuli in the environment ( Miller, J. L., Couch, J., Schwenk, K., Long, M.,
Towler, S., Theriaque, D. W., Leonard, C. M., 2009). The effects of obesity on cognitive development
have been investigated to see if the claims that obesity causes a cognitive developmental delay are
accurate. Miller, Couch, Schwenk, Long, Towler, Theriaque, and Leonard conducted a study by
measuring total cerebellar volume by way of MRI. They ran these tests on individuals with Prader
Willi Syndrome ( with a known reason for obesity in the child) and early onset obesity with an
unknown cause. Both of these conditions are characterized by excessive weight. They also brought in
their siblings of both groups with normal body weight as a control group. Because we know Prader
Willi Syndrome is a congenital disorder with a known cause for obesity and cognitive developmental
delays, the results of the

Analysis Of The Confession Of Dr. H.h. Holmes
I was born with the devil in me. I could not help the fact that I was a murderer, no more than the poet
can help the inspiration to sing. This quote was in the confession of Dr. H.H. Holmes when he was
caught in 1896. These words are very chilling due to the fact that this man is believed to had killed up
to 200 people and not only thinks that he couldn t help himself but in some ways compares himself to
an artist. Holmes gruesome murders still inspire ideas in modern day society, such as T.V. shows like
American Horror Story. It could be argued that his influence on society would be same as if he were
still alive for generations to come. A human monster is a person that is not congenial with the common
populace and Holmes is one of the very first recorded in American History. Herman Webster Mudgett,
later known as H.H. Holmes, is a human monster created of both nature and nurture, like the fictional
character named James March, and all of Holmes victims were subjected to the fear of death as they
were usually tortured before they were killed.
Herman Webster Mudgett was born on May 16th, 1861 to Theodate Page Price and Levi Horton
Mudgett. Some sources record his birth in 1860, but the New Hampshire, Birth and Christenings
Index and Herman himself in his confession states that he was born in 1861. Mudgett had three other
siblings, two sisters and one brother. The oldest was his sister Ellen, the second oldest was his brother
Arthur, and he was the third oldest in front

Septic System Research Paper
There a number of myths surrounding things you can add to your septic system, additives that will
supposedly allow you to go longer between pump outs, or inspections. While some of these may help
slightly, none should take the place of a regular inspection by a certified septic service.
Fact of the matter is, most of these additives and quick fixes do little to help your septic system and
some actually can make matters worse. Here are three of the most common myths and why you should
avoid using them.
Extra Bacteria
Every time you flush your toilet you add enough good bacteria to keep your septic tank functioning
properly. There is simply no need to spend your money to buy bacteria to add to your septic system.
When there is an overabundance of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yeast
Pouring yeast into your septic system is another myth that has little or no practical benefit. While
some bacteria will feed on the yeast, it does nothing to promote good bacteria in your septic tank.
Think about how adding one cup of salt to the ocean would make the water saltier. This is about the
same analogy as adding the recommended amount of yeast to your sewer system. So, Adding yeast to
your septic tank is basically a waste of your time, effort and money.
Baking Soda
The usefulness of baking soda added to homemade cleaning solutions is another one of the septic tank
myths that has ballooned out of proportion. True enough, mixing a little baking soda in chlorine based
cleaners can help reduce the adverse affects these harsh chemicals have on the good bacteria in your
septic tank, but simply adding baking soda all by itself, will do absolutely nothing.
Besides the three mythical cures just mentioned, septic professionals do not recommend adding
anything to your septic system. Additives are not necessary for the proper operation of your septic

Data Management, Data, Warehousing, And Warehousing Essay
There are many different areas in information systems to study. Data management, data mining, data
warehousing, information management, information security, information assurance, healthcare
informatics and bioinformatics are just a small sample of some of the different areas of study that will
be examined in this paper. Also included in this paper are answers to questions posed by the rubric for
this assignment.
Data management, mining, and warehousing all deal with data in different ways. Data management
establishes the groundwork for an organization to structure, regulate, process, and store data that they
acquire (Rouse, 2016). Data management also encompasses the creation of definitions and standards
for the acquired data which will be adhered to throughout the organization (Definition of: Data
management, 2016).
Data mining is [t]he process of finding significant, previously unknown, and potentially valuable
knowledge hidden in data (Gordon, 2007). Organizations use data mining to sift through massive
quantities of raw data in order to find patterns and relationships that will ultimately be used for
business purposes (Definition of: Data mining, 2016). Organizations mainly use data mining to get a
better idea of their customer s purchasing habits, product preferences, etc. in order to create sales
tactics targeted at a certain customer demographic (Definition of: Data management, 2016).
Data warehouses are huge repositories where data from various sources all

Essay On Soul Tour
On the 23 of September 2017 around 7:30pm I went and saw Tim McGraw and Faith Hill preform
their Soul 2 Soul tour at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. I have never seen either of the two
preform live in concert only on shows like the Country Music awards until this date. Having been a
fan of country music and growing up in a family who has always been fans of this genera of music, I
have listened to them both since and have been a huge fan of them each since. I wanted to see them
live not only being a fan of the two artists separately, but also this is the first time they have toured
together in quite a while, if not the first, so it would not only be a once in a lifetime event but also a
chance to see two of my favorite artists ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It seemed at the start of the show they sang songs that where at the start of their music careers and
progressed through their career. They sang each song as a duet no matter if it was a Tim or Faith song.
My favorite song of the night was Tim s Stay Humble and Kind and Faith s I need you , which was an
encore song. During the encore everyone thought that the show was over, but Tim came out into the
Stadium seat and Faith walked through the floor seats and they sang. The special effects added even
more to the experience. I would go back and see the same exact show if I had the chance. The crowd
was a very respectful crowd. For me it did not seem to be the stereotypical crowd that you would
imagine at a summer concert that this was. People where up and singing and dancing to the music and
where having an overall good time listening to the music. The crowd ranged from little kids to adults,
but everyone was almost in unison with the music, it s a weird thing to experience. From where my
family where sitting we did not see that much alcohol being drank and even less intoxicated people.
With this you could really enjoy the show without having to deal with annoying drunk fans. If you
accidently bump into someone they where respectful and apologized. You could talk to your family
and Tim and Faith would encourage you to sing along to the music by stopping mid song and you
would sing without them.

  • 4. Effects Of Snapchat s Technological Disruption In The... Snapchat s Technological Disruption in the Social Media Industry Throughout the past two decades, social media has become a prevalent tool in one s life for purposes such as social interaction from a distance, easy accessible information, and personal satisfaction from its entertainment. Facebook introduced photography in social media, Twitter s purpose was to have a status consisting of short, written expressions, and Instagram introduced filters into sharing photos and videos. Due to technological advances, each of these companies have been able to change society s use of social media overtime. However, one hot and new company has been able to technologically disrupt the social media industry by giving their user a tremendously different experience with digital interaction. This modern social media juggernaut was founded by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown in 2011 (Brown no longer has affiliation with the company). Snapchat is an application designed for one to share photos and videos which disappear in a maximum of ten seconds. This allows its users to send or post any information without having to stress about others judgement or the fear of regret. In an interview with The Telegraph, Spiegel mentions one key reason why he created Snapchat: Snapchat changed that perception of deleting something as bad. Online typically you delete something if it s bad or if it s really embarrassing. What Snapchat said was if we try to model conversations as they occur ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Canadian Income Inequality And Its Impact Canadian Income Inequality and Its Impact Sarah Pitre 100 511 731 University of Ontario Institute of Technology Canada has always taken great pride in its health care system. Publicly funded, Medicare has helped many, but has also aided in masking one of this country s largest growing problems. Income inequality is highly prevalent throughout Canada, affecting the health of its citizens, and over burdening its health care system. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This income inequality started with Canada s most recent recession, but as we left this recession income inequality continued to rise. The Gini coefficient is the most widely used measure of inequality, comparing the dispersion of income throughout a nations citizens. Over the past few years the Canadian Gini coefficient has been steadily increasing. In a study completed by Picot, G and Hou, F of Statistics Canada it was found that Income inequality typically rises in recessions, as it did in the early 1980s and 1990s, and therefore might be expected to fall in economic expansions. But this did not occur in the late 1990s expansion, and this period instead displayed the largest rise income inequality in the past three decades. This rise in income inequality continues to burden Canadian residents, increasing social determents of health within the country. The government has placed the responsibilities of housing, child care, education, retirement and much more on the individual. With all of the stress and responsibility placed on individuals, the Canadian government continues to make cuts to public expenditure on government aids. • 7. Comparing The Birthday Party The Moonstone, By Harold... Compare how the relationship between genders is presented in any two texts studied this term Harold Pinter and Wilkie Collins both appear to realistically demonstrate the relationship between genders through the works of literature. Within their pieces, The Birthday Party The Moonstone, the novelist and playwright are successfully able to mirror the way in which the interaction between the sexes have developed over time, I feel especially from a woman s point of view. This essay introduces the argument that these readings have been influenced in their production through the way society in Britain has shaped the female and male gender relations. The thesis will be presenting the shift of the interactions within creative writing, as a consequence of a changing hierarchy for the duration of history ; focusing predominantly on the two periods which the play and novel are set around. Upon gender being explored within The Birthday Party, a prime example to peruse are Meg the landlady, and Stanley the lodger, as to interpret the correlation between sexes and the roles they both are expected to enforce . Despite her being his senior ;as well as married, it is immediately evident that there is a latent flirtatious undertone in which the two communicate with one another. This is clear in Act 1 where Meg takes it upon herself to enter Stanley s room in the claims of wanting to wake him up: I m coming to get you! (Pinter, 13). • 8. How I Got The Best From Designers As A Product Manager How to get the best from designers as a product manager When I started out in this industry I was a designer (which at that time, also meant I was a front end developer). I then became a project manager leading teams of designers, developers and UXers. For the past few years I have returned full circle to doing what I love; design. My journey around various job roles has helped me to understand design from many different angles. This article is a list of top 4 things I ve learnt along the way about how to get the best from designers. 1. Engage your designers early on If the designers you work with are not involved in requirements gathering for a project you re going to have problems from the start. Imagine that you re given a compass ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 2. Understand the type of designers you are working with There are many different skill sets in the discipline of design. When we talk about designers there are many different job titles and roles. Broadly speaking you are likely to work with three types of designers: Interaction designers these types of designers focus on creating engaging UI elements, behaviours and actions to creative intuitive products and services. Visual Designers these types of designers focus on the look and feel of the product and brand across the whole product or service UX Designers these types of designers focus on assessing the needs and experience users have with a product or service and designing solutions to meet those needs. Most designers you come across will be multi disciplined in some way but each will be different. If you re lucky you ll have someone that is all three, but don t expect all designers to have all of these skills. The only way to really understand is to get to know the designers on your product team and what their strengths are but more importantly what motivates them. Some designers may need a jumpstart to get their creative juices flowing. Ideation workshops or sketch sessions, like those used in GV design sprints, can help with this. • 9. Short Summary Of The Sniper In The Sniper , a cold hearted depiction of war, Liam O Flaherty follows a young Republican sniper through a typical day amongst the callous bloodshed. The story opens with the Sniper, bathed in soft light emanating from the moon, drawing smoke from his cigarette. For a while there is the gentle illusion of normality, however, before long, the silence of peace is shattered by an appearance of an armored car and enemy informant. Driven by his need to survive, the Sniper shoots them down, without even once wondering about their intentions. As he eliminates the threat, another enemy sniper catches him in the arm with a carefully aimed bullet, forcing him to retreat behind the roof. Reminded constantly of the death waiting for him by the corpses of the people he killed, the Sniper grinds his teeth and overcomes his pain, formulating a plan that would allow him to survive. Before the sun rises, the Sniper tricks the enemy Sniper into believing him dead. When the enemy sniper stands up in fabricated victory, the Sniper takes him down, ignoring his bleeding arm and screaming conscience. Before he can decide to report back to his commander, the Sniper is hit with a strangely compelling need to find out who the enemy Sniper was. Risking his life and dodging numerous bullets from a machine gun, he gets off the roof and reaches the body on the ground. When he flips it over, the face that stares back at him is the lifeless mask of none other than his brother. On this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Values And Development Of The Ancient Maya Civilizations The complex societies and civilizations that the world is made up of today, were formed and shaped by groups of smaller traditional societies of the past. These small traditional civilizations that popped up and evolved all around the world in all sorts of different areas and locations laid the stepping stones for life as we know it today. While the civilizations did not necessarily press their values on others, other societies saw valuable practices and took them on themselves. One unique traditional society that has had a lasting impact on the world is the ancient Maya civilization. What makes the Mayans and their society a unique civilization were their economic activities, social arrangements, and political organizations which all helped their society develop over time, thus helped future civilizations to come to flourish using their ideas and traditions. For Gilgamesh it was Enkidu and for Achilles it was Patroclus. When these men died, our epic heroes were sent over the edge. Their means of grief were very different though. Achilles took a more emotional approach. He fasted, smeared himself with ash, beat the ground with his fists, and was emotionally distraught for days. The epic states that he utters a terrible, wrenching cry that his own mother hears him and approaches him with the water nymphs to learn of what is upsetting her son. After recovering from his emotional state, his anger then motivates him to return to battle. Gilgamesh however, refrained from outward emotions and instead went on a quest to help determine where exactly his friend went after passing. All three can be experienced in different varieties, but each carries great burdens. Eros must remember that the other is a living, breathing being, not just an object. Philia must not take unjust, selfish advantage of the other. Agape does all those things above and much more, with no expectation of return. The Unnatural History Of The Sea On The Unnatural History of the Sea Callum Roberts set himself the difficult task of cataloguing evidence that today s oceans are depleted and struggling against overfishing and human influence, while still remaining optimistic about the future of the world s oceans in his book The Unnatural History of the Sea. Roberts begins by painting a picture of the oceans as they may have been before human influence had drastically depleted species and changed ecosystems through fishing. From this point, he maps out centuries of development in fishing and shows how drastically changed and depleted the world s oceans are today because of human exploitation. With the explanation of modern day fishery policy and a strong case against the practice of trawling, Roberts shows how humanity continues to exploit the ocean as if it were an endless resource. In spite of all this, the author, in the end, attempts to develop a positive outlook by explaining what can be done to stop the rapid decimation of fisheries, including reevaluation of fishery regulations and development of marine reserves. Historical accounts of abundant fisheries can clearly show the phenomenon of shifting baselines when compared to what we observe in our oceans today. Roberts argues for Pauly s shifting baseline theory and provides strong evidence supporting its existence. In Orphan Train, Christina Baker Kline weaves a strong friendship between two characters, Vivian and Molly, despite a lengthy list of differences. Herman Webster Mudgett was born on May 16th, 1861 to Theodate Page Price and Levi Horton Mudgett. • 32. Septic System Research Paper There a number of myths surrounding things you can add to your septic system, additives that will supposedly allow you to go longer between pump outs, or inspections. While some of these may help slightly, none should take the place of a regular inspection by a certified septic service. Fact of the matter is, most of these additives and quick fixes do little to help your septic system and some actually can make matters worse. Here are three of the most common myths and why you should avoid using them. Extra Bacteria Every time you flush your toilet you add enough good bacteria to keep your septic tank functioning properly. There is simply no need to spend your money to buy bacteria to add to your septic system. When there is an overabundance of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Yeast Pouring yeast into your septic system is another myth that has little or no practical benefit. While some bacteria will feed on the yeast, it does nothing to promote good bacteria in your septic tank. Think about how adding one cup of salt to the ocean would make the water saltier. This is about the same analogy as adding the recommended amount of yeast to your sewer system. So, Adding yeast to your septic tank is basically a waste of your time, effort and money. Baking Soda The usefulness of baking soda added to homemade cleaning solutions is another one of the septic tank myths that has ballooned out of proportion. True enough, mixing a little baking soda in chlorine based cleaners can help reduce the adverse affects these harsh chemicals have on the good bacteria in your septic tank, but simply adding baking soda all by itself, will do absolutely nothing. Besides the three mythical cures just mentioned, septic professionals do not recommend adding anything to your septic system. Additives are not necessary for the proper operation of your septic ... • 34. Essay On Soul Tour On the 23 of September 2017 around 7:30pm I went and saw Tim McGraw and Faith Hill preform their Soul 2 Soul tour at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. I have never seen either of the two preform live in concert only on shows like the Country Music awards until this date. Having been a fan of country music and growing up in a family who has always been fans of this genera of music, I have listened to them both since and have been a huge fan of them each since. I wanted to see them live not only being a fan of the two artists separately, but also this is the first time they have toured together in quite a while, if not the first, so it would not only be a once in a lifetime event but also a chance to see two of my favorite artists ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It seemed at the start of the show they sang songs that where at the start of their music careers and progressed through their career. They sang each song as a duet no matter if it was a Tim or Faith song. My favorite song of the night was Tim s Stay Humble and Kind and Faith s I need you , which was an encore song. During the encore everyone thought that the show was over, but Tim came out into the Stadium seat and Faith walked through the floor seats and they sang. The special effects added even more to the experience. I would go back and see the same exact show if I had the chance. The crowd was a very respectful crowd. For me it did not seem to be the stereotypical crowd that you would imagine at a summer concert that this was. People where up and singing and dancing to the music and where having an overall good time listening to the music. The crowd ranged from little kids to adults, but everyone was almost in unison with the music, it s a weird thing to experience. From where my family where sitting we did not see that much alcohol being drank and even less intoxicated people. With this you could really enjoy the show without having to deal with annoying drunk fans. If you accidently bump into someone they where respectful and apologized. You could talk to your family and Tim and Faith would encourage you to sing along to the music by stopping mid song and you would sing without them. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
