Argumentative Essay On Charter Schools
Charter schools are described to be a unique public school that offers an alternative education outside
of traditional public schools in the Unites States. Charter schools are usually created by a group of
people parents, educators, community leaders who come together and create a charter plan which
explains the schools guiding principles, course curriculum, and so on. Once that charter is approved
by the state, the state continues to fund the charter schools. In the early 1990s, a small group of
educators and policymakers came together to develop the charter school model. Minnesota s
legislature passed the first charter law in 1991, and the first charter school opened in 1992. Charter

A Doll House Symbols
Symbols Motifs In A Doll s House In the play, A Doll s House, the author, Henrik Ibsen, uses many
symbols and motifs to illustrate his ideas of society s rules, and the roles of men and women in
society. One of these symbols is the use of a doll house in the play. The setting of this play took place
mainly in the Helmer household. Torvald and Nora s house is used to symbolize control and
suppression of people by others. This symbol connects with many characters, their situations, and also
helped me determine the theme of the play. First of all, the symbol of a doll house being used as the
title of the play is very symbolic as it reflected the play itself. This symbol related to many characters
as the characters in the play were either ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ibsen is trying to illustrate to the reader that the symbol of a doll house is used to point out that society
is ultimately controlling all of the characters in the play through social expectations, and what is
deemed the norm in society. Torvald is trapped by the expectations that society has for men, and Nora
is trapped by others trying to control her. Nora decided in the final act that she was going to leave her
husband and her children, even though she knows it goes against everything that society deems
acceptable for mothers and women (and against what she instinctively knows to be right for her
children). Nora symbolizes the change for the traditional roles for women, as well as the higher role
that women will have in society. One of the themes that I discovered in this play is that, One should
follow what he or she believes is right, and to not follow what everyone else is doing, if it goes against
what he or she believes in. This theme relates to the control that society has over others, in addition, to
how people should follow their aspirations and desires, and not be trapped by limitations or

Post-Cold War Period Causes of Conflict Essay
Post Cold War Period Causes of Conflict
The end of the Cold War meant that the ideological conflict of dominance between East (Soviet Union
and Eastern Europe) and West (USA and Western Europe) was over. Contrary to the expectations that
world would be much safer in the post Cold War, United States and Soviet Union were faced with new
security issues that they did not know how to deal with.
The objective of this essay is to show that with all these changes that occurred with the end of the
Cold War, causes of the conflict indeed altered from the classic ones. First the end of the Cold War and
the changes in the world order that followed will be outlined. Secondly, the increase in wars within ...

Snow (1991, p.44) states that [i]n simpler days during Cold War, possession of nuclear weapons was
thought to provide the possessors with the special power, that could be translated into usable influence
in the international system . This means that some conflicts were kept under control because the world
was ruled by bipolar system (USA and Soviet Union). However, conflicts were not absent during this
period, but the parties in a conflict would often seek assistance from one of the superpowers and hence
strengthen the conception of a bipolar world (e.g. the Vietnam War). With the end of the Cold War this
system transformed into a multipolar system where new conflicts emerged. As Mearsheimer states,
key elements in the Long Peace was bipolarity, an equal balance of military power and nuclear
weapons. (Mearsheimer 1990, Why We Will Soon Miss The Cold War ). This factor was now no
longer present, although some scholars argue that this era is characterised by unipolarism (i.e. US
hegemony), rather than multipolarism.
From wars between states to wars withinstates
The vast majority of conflicts before and during the Cold War were between states. In the post Cold
War period the number of interstate wars decreased, and new threats occurred, such as ethnic conflicts,
rise of nationalism, global threats to the environment and terrorism. These were dominant factors that

Making Schools Safer From Bullying

Making Schools Safer from Bullying
Have you ever been bullied or witnessed anyone suffering from any form of bullying? If the answer is
yes, then you should know the negative feeling that is created from it. The Youth Internet Safety
Survey, conducted by the Crimes against Children Research Center at the University of New
Hampshire, found that eight percent of the youth surveyed had experienced and reported some form of
harassment. An old familiar saying is that Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will
never hurt me , which is a lie! Simple bullying is defined as repeated verbal, physical, and social
behaviors that are hurtful to any individual or group of persons. It can include humiliation,
domination, intimidation and all forms of harassment not limited to: race, gender, disability, or sexual
orientation ( nsw.gov.au ). All forms of bullying have been proven to leave long term effects on the
victims. Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non victims,
according to studies by Yale University ( Bullying Statistics ). It is not just students that encourage the
bully who victimized, but the students who watch in silence hurt the victim as well. Bullying leads
back to the beginning of time, but in more recent years, it has become more publicly talked about.
Although, the government began to nationally address bullying and advanced training is being
provided to educators

Factors Affecting The Generic Drug Industry
Spending growth in generic drugs has slowed considerably from 42% in 2011 to 10% currently. IMS
Health predicts the growth to maximize at 90% of the prescription market (Salazar, 2015). Though
there is not much room between generic drugs currently representing 83% of prescription drugs and
the predicted 90% maximum, the next twelve months appear a safe investment period for the generic
drug industry when considering the currently growth rate. Many factors influence success in the
generic drug industry; among the influences is the need for an alternative to higher priced brand name
drugs. This was the original purpose of generic drugs. Initially, generics offered a considerable price
benefit over brand drugs with a reduction of at least 60% for specialty drugs and 80% for oral
prescriptions (Taylor, 2015). Recently, the rising cost of generics has drawn much scrutiny. Many
factors contribute to the increased cost of generics. According to Salazar, increased product quality
regulations, less new products entering the market, inflation, and the increased number of former
prescription drugs being offered over the counter have all lead to higher generic drug pricing. An
additional motive for the increased cost of generics may be pure greed. Price hikes as exorbitant as
5000% have occurred in recent months in some generic drugs. Taylor attributes the price hikes to the
increased need for innovation and the lack of competition in generic drug manufacturers. These

I Am A Man
I lied awake and stared at my wall like it was the most interesting thing I d ever seen, studying every
crack and chip in the paint that I hadn t already committed to memory. It was 4 o clock, and I swear
just a second ago it was midnight. I felt that same restless feeling that I d been feeling for the months
after Jason died. I sat up in my bed and reached for the pack of cigarettes sitting on my nightstand. I
stood up slowly and pulled on my jacket, starting to drag my way outside. I opened the back screen

I ve almost hit rock bottom. I m so ready to disappear, to be honest. I didn t realize that this one person
was the only thing keeping me going until he disappeared like that. I was about ready to buckle under

looked up from the ground to see a familiar face. At first I denied it at all costs, there was no way, I
must have been seeing ghosts, or hallucinating, or something. There s no way that he could be here. J
Jason? I muttered in disbelief. I stood up so as to get a better look at him. I placed my hands on either
side of his face and ran my thumbs over his cheeks. Jason placed his hands over mine and smiled. In
the flesh. But how? We all saw you, dead, how did you ? He pressed a peck to my lips to shush me. It
doesn t matter. There was a silence between the two of us until I began to tear up. I smiled for the first
time in a long time, and a sob began to make its way through the air, making my body quake as I
threw my arms around him. I could almost feel the sympathetic smile emanating from his soul as he
comforted me just as he always used to. My tears eventually subsided, after what seemed like years.
Why the hell did you do that? I spoke quietly. Jason seemed surprised by my question, as if he wasn t
expecting me to wonder why the hell he was gone for a year, and not dead. Do what? I looked at him

The Impacts Of The Japanese Internment Of Japanese Americans
On February 19th, 1942 in the midst of world war two 120,000 Americans were put prison for their
ethnic background. These people may have been of Japanese descent but I am steadfast in the belief
that they were no less american than anyone else. The interment of the Japanese americans was a
racist, unjust, and illogical act the will forever leave a stain on america s honor as a nation. Moving
on, the interment of the Japanese Americans was a immensely racist action primarily for its
indifference to other races. The internment of Japanese Americans only imprisoned those of Japanese
descent. Furthermore, America justified this as a war act but the war was not against japan, it was
against Japan, Italy, and Germany. Now one would ask, were people ... Show more content on

The internment of Japanese Americans includes people of all heights, sizes, and ages. With this being
said, some people many not have been physically or mentally ready for being incarcerated. As a result
nearly 1,900 Japanese americans died in internment camps. May it be by natural causes or unnatural
causes the chaos and stress of relocating indisputably ushered it on. Furthermore the relocation hurt
the west coast economically. Without the Japanese businesses and employees companies had to find
new workers and new businesses to receive goods from. Also with japanese people gone so was a
major chunk of money with them. With a loss in money the west coast must have suffered a kind of
mini depression. In other words becauses there was less money circulating the west coast the value of
money shoots upward. Next, since store prices are not yet calibrated to this new total money people
will run out of money causes the store prices to rise because the stores are not getting enough money.
Lastly the imprisonment of the japanese americans cost more money than it was worth. To imprison
120,000 people it takes several million if not billion, some of these some of these costs are attributed
from meals, transportation, water, electricity, building, military supervision. Overall the incarceration
of 120,000 Japanese americans is an action that America will regret for the

Rights of the Child
UN CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was brought into effect to recognise that Children
needed their own set of specific human rights that should be protected and that these were a universal
right not a privilege. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was drawn up and accepted by
the UN in 1989. The UK government agreed to abide by the principles in 1991 and it was fully
implemented in 1992. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is the most universally
recognised set of standards for protecting the rights of children and numerous countries have agreed to
abide by it. The Convention forms a set of articles that highlight the minimum entitlements of all

Children understand how to protect themselves, and feel protected and are protected from significant
harm including neglect, abuse and accident. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child essentially
underpins all aspects of the work we do and how we undertake it and the responsibilities we have to
the individual. It is therefore a major and key piece of legislation that we must be familiar with to
fulfill the job role and responsibilities as manager of a home.
HUMAN RIGHTS ACT 1998
The Human Rights Act was drawn up by the UK government and implemented in 1998. It draws on
the European Convention of Human Rights but allows for issues to be addressed within the UK courts
of Law rather than needing a European Court. The Act provides that it is unlawful for a public
authority to act in such a way as to contravene Convention rights. For these purposes public authority
includes any other person whose functions are functions of a public nature. The Human Rights Act
uses a set of articles to detail the rights of everyone within the UK. Examples of these articles include:
the right to life; prohibition of torture; prohibition of slavery and forced labour; right to liberty and
security; right to respect for family and private life; freedom of thought conscience and religion;
freedom of expression; prohibition of discrimination; protection of property; and

The Policy Language Of Clipper Mill Fed
Accordingly, since Clendenin Bros., the policy language has been broadened seemingly in response to
Clendenin Bros. and similar cases to include not only environmental pollution, but also, substances
that are harmful or toxic to persons [or] property. The significance of this distinction was recognized
in Clipper Mill Fed., LLC v. Cincinnati Ins. Co, 2010 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 112172 (D.Md. 2010), where
a landlord/insured alleged that damages caused by [t]oxic and dangerous airborne pollutants
attributable to a malfunctioning HVAC unit gave rise to a claim against the insured by a tenant. Id. at
3. In that case, although the pollution at issue was not environmental, the District of Maryland
observed that:
The policy in the present case contains an important distinction from that involved in Clendenin Bros.
The CGL Policy tracks the definition of Pollutant contained in the policy at issue in Clendenin Bros.,
but adds, Pollutants include but are not limited to substances which are generally recognized in
industry or government to be harmful or toxic to persons, property or the environment. . . . Compare
Clendenin Bros., 889 A.2d at 390, with CGL Policy, Form GA 1011204 § V(18) (emphasis added).
The addition of this sentence expanded the definition of Pollutant beyond environmental pollutants.

that the definition includes irritants and contaminants that harm persons but

Emotional and Cognitive Intelligence
Cognitive intelligence and emotional intelligence have both been widely examined with regard to their
effect on individual workplace abilities. A critical comparison of the two concepts will be the basis of
this essay. Some theorists have hypothesised that the ease with which an employee can process
information and work towards solutions (our cognitive intelligence) is the key aspect in our ability to
contribute to the workplace, particularly in more complex environments (Viswesvaran Ones, 2002).
While others support the theory that our ability to use and adapt to emotion (our emotional
intelligence; EI) has the greatest affect on our organisational involvement (Cherniss, Extein, Goleman,
Weissberg, 2006). Through exploration of both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It has been studied and elaborated upon so much, that what was initially a concise realm of specificity,
has particularly in the area of EI testing become convoluted by measures of social intelligence and
emotional and social competencies (Cherniss, 2010), which while similar to EI do distinctly deviate
from the generally accepted Mayer et al. 2000 model of it. Some measures even include tests of
cognitive intelligence, the concept with which it is supposedly in direct contrast. This has led to
criticism about whether or not measures of EI have construct validity (Cherniss, 2010).
From a theoretical standpoint the equivocality regarding an agreed definition of EI most specifically
affects the theorists studying the concept. From an organisational perspective the practical
implications of uncertainty surround the measurement of the concept, as opposed to its definition. For
example if an organisation relies heavily on a team which is cohesive, cooperative and connected to
one another the business may screen potential employees to ensure they will suit the role using a
measure of emotional intelligence. Here in lay the problem; if a construct cannot be clearly defined,
how can a test every truly have construct validity how can the variables indicating an particular
outcome ever be accurate, when we do not know exactly what we are measuring? Moreover, a focus
on EI within businesses and organisations could have significant drawbacks. Unavoidable though

Note: This statue of an Ancient Egyptian woman clearly shows the way of dressing in Ancient Egypt.
This statue belongs to the New Kingdome period.

An Ongoing Adolescence
Translated to its literal meaning pulling in or withdrawal (Grisafe 2012), hikikomori is a Japanese
phenomenon that has been a prominent social issue for years. First coming to light in1998, Japanese
physiatrist, Tamaki Saito introduced the mental health issue in his book Hikikomori: An ongoing
adolescence (Senju 2013). Today, the issue is increasingly worrying for not only Japan, but other
international countries as young to middle aged men and women continue to drive towards the trend
of complete reclusive behavior and acute social withdrawal. As of today, over one million people in
Japan are hikikomori.

usually hiding in their bedroom ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to their parent s high expectations to succeed in school, many victims may choose to isolate
themselves as failure in school and a lack of social support can keep the hikikomori locked away for
years. In Japan there is extreme pressure to get into a good university and get a well paid job. For
some, failing to do so results in people shutting themselves in.
A large aspect of Japan s enormous pressure on students comes from the entrance exams that students
are required to take to get into specific junior high schools, high schools and universities. Failure to
gain entry is a leading factor in becoming a hikikomori. The work required to do well in the
infamously difficult entrance exams consists of extended hours of study and cramming schools,
otherwise known as gakushū juku(学習塾)or juku (塾) for short (Suzuki 2013). These fast paced, late
night schools leave students with minimal hours of sleep and social time and extended period of study
and cramming. Approximately 60% of all Japanese high school students attend juku (Cram Schools
n.d.). Gogatsu byō (May Disease, 五月病) is another school related motive of the hikikomori. It is
when one doesn t know how to cope with a change in their school or work environment, which results
in overwhelming stress. It is closely related with depression.

I began to see what people were capable of doing. Anyone who moved through those years without
understanding that man produces evil as a bee produces honey, must have been blind or wrong in the
head. In Lord of the Flies, which was published in 1954, Golding combined that perception of
humanity with his years of experience with schoolboys. (1) His writing mostly depicted his
experiences with the army, war, brutality of the human nature and a will to survive. (2) William
Golding knew we all had evil in us and it is a matter of time before we can t hold it back anymore and
we become not so innocent people no more. Lord of the Flies is a literary phenomenon; the title is
instantly recognisable as a synonym for societal breakdown. (3) The main idea is a man s struggle to

to follow rules and commands and value the good in others. This is a hassle because our evil side
wants to fulfill our own selfish desires and gain power and do whatever it takes it achieve that no

He tells the church to rule among yourselves, which are then broken down into four parts. We are to
be watchful so that any under our charge or that we are ministering to do don t fall into the traps of the

church and guide the congregation. We as a congregation are called to lead, just as it said in Hebrews
13:17 not with pushing, or demanding, but rather commanding, not as Gods, but as leaders. Finally to

of rule among you in 1 Peter 5:2 when it says, 2 Be shepherds of God s flock that is under your care,

now responsible for, as it says in Titus 1:5, 5 The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in
order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you. (NIV) Lastly when

Igor Stravinsky Rite Of Spring
A critique of The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky and Folding by Shen Wei On November 22th, I
enjoyed the Rite of Spring and Folding at Centennial Hall in U of A. Both of them shocked me by
their unique way of performances. From the very beginning, The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky
strengthens in a volatile sense of harmonious movements. The Rite of Spring is quite different from
classical ballets whose subtle interchange of the curvaceous, subjective lithesome in the flow of time
that romanticism savored. In this particular dance which was carefully planned by Igor Stravinsky,
Stravinsky s rhythms hit and batter; although highly asymmetric they are still pounded in such a new
way that the score requires innovation in harmonious representation to make Stravinsky s invention
workable. In this dance, there is no way are these rhythms presented subtly, in fact, they are habitually
stricken out in harmony by the huge orchestra that the work uses. Undeniably, one of the most
enjoyable facets of a noble performance, even without dance convention, is the way that it looks.
Their grey outfit and sporadic black tops make them a perfect blend. ... Show more content on

It was as if there was nobody and only the ghost like dancers onstage accompanied by irregular music
terrified me. So as to concentrate on the listener s discernment on the rhythm, musical material,
Stravinsky at times reduces to tiny repetitive configurations of a simple two or three pitch. In tandem
with this rectilinear plainness, The Rite of Spring s gargantuan crunching synchronizations move at
the stride of glaciers, this gradual harmonic movement puzzlingly magnifying the general sense of
drive and energy. These structures of sound, although distressingly dissonant for an audience in 1913,
are selected with perfect modification, and they reinforce Stravinsky s complete arc with a structural

adjustments to customers IRA and CAP accounts can be processed in a timelier manner. There are
currently service level agreements to complete all requests within 1 2 business days. However, due to
a lack of policy enforcement and motivation, different operations areas firm wide are not following
these SLAs and many requests are not completed within 2 days. In order to reduce processing time, I
would recommend that managers set deadlines each day for requests to be completed. Any requests
received before that time must be completed the same day, if possible, and any requests received after
the cutoff time must be completed ASAP during the next business day. Managers can hold meetings

important because it shows our internal customers that we care about them and their business

The Black Of Black Arts Movement Essay
The Black Arts Movement was considered to be the artistic part of the Black Power Movement when
it was formed in the 1960s and lasted until mid 1970s. It featured several Black writers, poets,
playwrights, artists, and musicians, who sought to explore the essence of black identity , commonly
referred to as the Black Aesthetic. The Black aesthetic was both a cultural and artistic ideology that
was developed from many Black Americans who desired self determination and separation from the
white community. Several of the artists who contributed to the Black Arts Movement included, but is
not limited to, Leroi Jones, also known as Amiri Baraka, Larry Neal, Nikki Giovanni, and Sonia
Sanchez. They sought to create art that spoke directly to the issues, needs, aspirations and
sociopolitical rights of Black Americans. Overall, this movement is one of the most influential
movements in regards to Black literature and music because it inspired Black people to write and led
to the creation of theaters, journals, magazines, and art institutions. The Black Arts Movement was
also said to be the spiritual sister of the Black Power Movement, but although the movement claimed
to be the sister of the Black Power Movement, it was sexist, racially exclusive and was in no way
feminine of supportive of its Black women.
Leroi Jones, also known as Amiri Baraka, founded the Black Arts Movement in Harlem, New York in
1965. The movement was officially established in 1965 when Baraka launched the

The Military During World War One
James Frances Ryan is a private of the military during World War One. After his mother has receive
condolences letters stating that three of her four sons have been killed in combat, there is an urgent
need to save private Ryan and bring him home. Throughout this entire film, I felt a sense of pride and
uneasiness. I felt pride because of the fact that our country took into consideration the way that this
mother has to feel after losing three of her four children and the need to save her last child so that he
can return home to comfort her. I felt a sense of uneasiness because I knew that despite the fact that
they were doing this out of the good in their hearts, it wouldn t be an easy task to complete because
lives would be lost since they are still at war. Not only to they have to fight for their lives but also try
to find another person who they ve never met and get him back safely. There are 3 specific scene
throughout this film that I believe are crucial to the understanding and the emotions I felt while
watching it. The opening scene of this film definitely sets the tone for what is about to happen
throughout this entire movie. While they are on the ship approaching the shore of Omaha Beach you
can sense the tension and fear of the soldiers. They are shaking, throwing up, saying prayers all before
they have to unload the ship and begin the war. The shots of this scene are very close up. They rarely

Effects of Leadership Style In The Walt Disney Company if there was an authoritarian leader it would
affect group communication immensely because the employees need to be creative and because
authoritarian leaders make decisions, give the orders, and generally control all activities (Beebe

techniques to a group it does not allow constructive communication, and ideal sharing, and this would

Symptoms And Symptoms Of Shingles
When I was 11 years old I was brought to the United States leaving family and who I loved behind,
this change in my life triggered my body to go under high levels of stress and getting what is now
called shingles. I did not know what it was at first, it all started with a small red dot which I thought
was just a mosquito bite, however, little did I know this mosquito bite was going to turn into
something very painful. I felt awful and my back, in particular ached and felt very sore. I felt a
burning sensation and penetrating pain like piercing needles in my skin, blisters also appeared and the
rash lasted for about three weeks. It wasn t until years later when I started taking advance science

This virus has a double stranded DNA genome and is also enclosed within an icosahedral capsid,
surrounded by a phospholipid envelope . They are typical symptoms to Chickenpox before the rash
starts to appear, these include; fever, loss of appetite, headache and tiredness, but once the disease
actually appears, it turns into very itchy fluid filled blisters that ultimately turn into dry scabs. The first
spots that the rash may appear is the face and the back, then it quickly spreads to the rest of the body
affecting even genital areas, and inside of the mouth. They are key symptoms that doctors look for to
diagnose chickenpox, many professionals perform a blood test that checks if a person is producing
antibodies to the virus, this to determine whether or not an individual is already immune to it
(chickenpox). Usually, there is no medical test needed, but instead doctor look for common symptoms
to make a clear diagnosis (fever followed by an itchy rash). Still, Chickenpox can be confused with
conditions that affect the skin like scabies or even insect bites, this is why it is crucial to seek
professional help when a person suspects he or she has contracted the varicella zoster virus.
Treatment for chickenpox varies, there are several things a person can do at home to help relieve the
symptoms, for example, colloidal oatmeal baths help with the itching and keeping nails in good health

The Role Of The Teaching Assistant
The teaching assistant needs to know roughly how to play the instruments and which ones create
which note, i.e. Kettle drums have all the notes on it so need to be hit in different places to create the
different sounds, and different drums in a drum kit for example create different sounds. They also need
to know the names of the different notes and what they sound like and how they can be strung together
to form a possible tune.
By the teaching assistant having a knowledge in music in general this then allows the class to be
potentially cut into two or more smaller groups depending upon the number of assistants there are.
This means that learning would be more effective as the children are in smaller more manageable
groups and the ratio of teacher/assistant to pupil is better and if a pupil has a question or needs help ...

Teaching a group of seven year olds would require a lot of patience. They are still young and so
therefore may from time to time not want to do what is asked of them as they have been given
something to use/hold that makes a loud noise. Therefore it is important to know the schools policy
and know the rewards and consequences within the policy to effectively promote positive behaviour
and learning. If pupils see that their behaviour is affecting the lesson in the negative way they want,
then that in itself is a reward for a job well done . It is the job of the teaching assistant to praise just as
much as it is the job of the teacher. Praise boosts self esteem which is even more helpful in the pupils
that lack a positive attitude and helps deter them away from making a disruptive

Items and the Resources behind Them
Items and the Resources Behind Them People all over the world are using resources every day that
they do not even think about. People are not aware of where things come from or what happens to
those things after they are no longer in their possession. In the following paragraphs, I will look into
five specific things I make common use of in a week. I chose to conduct my research on plastic water
bottles, mechanical pencils, plastic grocery bags, cell phones, and ear phones. I will expand on the
materials that go into making these items, and where they come from. Additionally, I will look into
what happens after they have fulfilled their purpose and whether they are recyclable or not. Each type
of water bottle has a different story. For the most part however, they are made up of similar materials.
It is common that they are made using Polyethylene terephtalate plastics, which are also known as
virgin plastics. The plastic is made by mixing hydrocarbons that are extracted from crude oil with
chemical catalysts. The manufacturing process is described as each bottle being sterilized, filled,
capped, labeled, packed into cases, and prepared for shipping. Transporting and distributing these
bottles consists of shipping them in lightweight materials which are good for the environment since it
cuts down on fuel costs. Most people only use water bottles until that 1 serving is gone. But they may
be reused or recycled. When they are recycled, the plastic bottles are shredded into

Judith Butler Is Still Alive Today

and these books have been looked upon fondly by feminists. Precarious Life was written in 2005. This

We center on the first world perspective. Feelings of invulnerability lead to fantasy of omnipotence
(9). Conflation of exploration and exoneration leads to the conception of responsibility. This includes
isolating the event and conceptualizing rationality. Responsibility is the juncture of being acted on and
acting. This causes the response. There is some basis of political community. Violence and
vulnerability can be led to the exploitation of the ties we have with one another (27). Butler wants to
say that we are always vulnerable. Butler wants to complicate the picture of autonomy. The narrative
of autonomy leads to violence and stratification which in turn leads to dehumanization and
derealation. We need to become aware of this process to understand our relationships. When we
mention the narrative of autonomy we are speaking about the body. The body is both a site of private
and public spheres. Most people see the body as only being in the private sphere but in reality, the
body is constantly being regulated an example being like what clothes are appropriate to wear to
different occasions. Butler wants to relate this to the relationships we have with legitimate power.
Butler uses Focult s idea of sovereignty and governmentality. Sovereignty is seen as representative. It
is an individualized, concentrated power that involves decision making. Governmentality on the other
hand revolves around the process of law.

The Mission Of Carbon Offsets
Our Mission The mission of Carbon Offsets To Alleviate Poverty (COTAP) is to empower individuals
and organizations in developed countries to address both climate change and global poverty. COTAP
counteracts your carbon emissions through certified forestry projects in least developed regions which
create transparent, accountable, and life changing earnings for rural farming communities where
income levels are less than $2 per day. The Problem In developing regions around the world, hundreds
of millions of people live in rural areas on less than $2 per day. This level of poverty forces
communities to make hard choices between food, health care, and education. It is the poverty level
where an estimated 11 million children die every year. Many of these communities are not fits for
traditional microfinance, which tends to be primarily urban, and significant portions of their land are
not suitable for agriculture. While there are many promising technical innovations and development
programs which can increase crop yields, there remains a geographic limitation on markets where
such increased yields can be sold. The result is that there are farming communities all over the world
who could be made much less economically vulnerable if there were a way to generate significant
supplemental income from non crop land usage which did not rely on physical distribution. The

terrible earthquake in India, that sadly took the lives of her parents. Mary never really had any friends
and was always alone, her parents were not very caring nor affectionate to her, and never really paid

As you know Mary s parents died in an earthquake, but before they died Mary still had no connection
with them, they cared more about themselves than her. Mary tried to connect with them and be with

moved into Misselthwaite Manor, she was ornery, angry, and upset all the time. That was the way it
was for her until she found her aunt s room and the key to the garden. Even though she found the key
to the garden, she had not found the garden yet. When she found the garden she was so happy, and she
actually started to smile, and be happy, she found something that she was really passionate about, and
was willing to love and care for. This garden not only helped her open up, but it helped her help others
to open up their heart. Mary helped Colin open up, which opened Lord Craven, which then opened
Mrs. Medlock. If Mary did not go to Misselthwaite Manor, everything would be the same, she would
still be unhappy, and Colin and Lord Craven would have never connected. The spell was broken. My
uncle learned to laugh and I learned to cry. The secret garden is always open now. If you look the right
way, you can see the whole world is a garden. That quote was said by Mary in the end of the movie,
she did learn to cry, open her heart, learn to love, and learned that everything is a garden if you look

The Argument For The Natural World
According to Aquinas arguments, the natural world includes everything that is in existence. This
includes ideologies such as motion, God, gravity, solar radiation, and our physical environment as
whole. The natural world is not only made up of things that our senses can detect, such as touch and
smell, but is also includes things such as God and gravity which are unattainable through the senses.
According to Immanuel Kant, the sensible world includes anything that can become known to
humans. The sensible world includes things such as time and space. By reviewing the definition of the
sensible world, the plausibility of the argument for the natural world is effected positively. Due to the
fact that the natural world consists of things that the human senses can detect, along with anything that
is within the world, this argument goes hand in hand with the ideology of the sensible world. In
correlation with Aquinas s third argument, something cannot exist being necessary and noneternal
because in order for a being to be necessary it must be eternal. This is due to the fact that in Aquinas
argument, a necessary being is eternal because nothing else brings it into existence. In order to better
understand an example of an object that would exists at some point in each possible world, but not at
all times within the actual world, it is crucial to understand the definition of each term. Elliot Sober
defines the actual world as, the totality of things that have existed, now

Arguments For Animal Testing
Testing on animals has been a thing for so many years now. In fact, many scientists believe it should
be done before human testing. But with it being around for so long, it has become a subject of
controversy. People around the world share their views and opinions about whether it s really
necessary, and some even question if the process is even ethical. While it is sad that animals have to
come to terrible fates, the process of animal testing is absolutely essential to test the safety of products.
Besides the obvious benefit, which is that animal testing saves lives, results are generated quicker with
animal testing, so diseases can be cured faster. Sometimes the illnesses cured can affect animals too,
so humans aren t the only ones benefited. Animals are also benefited by the guidelines put in place by
the Animal Welfare Act, which makes sure that animals are treated fairly during the testing process.
All in all animal testing is without a doubt crucial to test products that save both human and animal
lives.
Before putting a product out in the world scientist have to first make sure it is safe for people to use.
To do this they have to test it on a living being. As said before most scientists prefer to do animal
testing first. They are able to do this because animals and humans are very similar we have the same
organ systems that do the same things in roughly the same way. In the article, Animal Testing Saves

Invitation To The Life Span Analysis
In the textbook titled Invitation to the Life Span, authored by Kathleen Berger, explains Robert
Sternberg s theory of love. Sternberg s theory has three parts which are passion, intimacy, and
commitment. When all three are present, it is perfect love and an ideal that is sometimes attained
(Berger, 2014, p.475). I agree with Sternberg s theory of love because I believe people look for these
three notions of love to share with someone because they seem to work in unison.
First, I consider passion an essential part of being in love. This is because people long to have
someone to hold and show their affection towards each other.
Secondly, intimacy is also crucial to being in love. Intimacy not only means to be physically intimate,

Research Paper On Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II might be one of the most influential monarchs living today in this era of the
democratic states. With her rule over the Commonwealth Nations lasting for over fifty years, the
Queen has been very much popular with the public, not just in Great Britain or amongst the
Commonwealth Nations, but also amongst all the nations of the world.
The Queen s life might have only begun as the first child to the Duke and Duchess of York, but
instantly she came into attention of the nation with her strong bond with the then head of state, King
George V, who was also Elizabeth s grandfather. The qualities of Elizabeth had been exemplary from
the very start. Although a little mischievous as a child, Elizabeth was quite mannered, polite and
respectful.
After her father, King George VI, was crowned, Elizabeth became the natural successor to the throne.
With this face, a sense of responsibility arose within her, making her more active towards the matters
of national interest. She had already become famous amongst the public with her very first broadcast
to console, strengthen and assure the war stricken children of the nation. Her efforts to assist the
country in the tome of war showed her courage, bravery and love for the nation and its people.

Each rank in the British Army can be achieved with progress, experience and hard work during the
individuals stay in the army. There are two sets of ranks being Officer Ranks and Other Ranks.
Likewise to the police, the higher the rank is the more responsibility and authority they have. These
ranks show the army s structure also defining there role and responsibilities.
The first rank is the private rank which is what new recruits start at and is the lowest rank. The rank is
gained after the individual has completed their initial basic training. A private s main responsibility is

  • 2. Argumentative Essay On Charter Schools Charter schools are described to be a unique public school that offers an alternative education outside of traditional public schools in the Unites States. Charter schools are usually created by a group of people parents, educators, community leaders who come together and create a charter plan which explains the schools guiding principles, course curriculum, and so on. Once that charter is approved by the state, the state continues to fund the charter schools. In the early 1990s, a small group of educators and policymakers came together to develop the charter school model. Minnesota s legislature passed the first charter law in 1991, and the first charter school opened in 1992. Charter schools. • 3. A Doll House Symbols Symbols Motifs In A Doll s House In the play, A Doll s House, the author, Henrik Ibsen, uses many symbols and motifs to illustrate his ideas of society s rules, and the roles of men and women in society. One of these symbols is the use of a doll house in the play. The setting of this play took place mainly in the Helmer household. Torvald and Nora s house is used to symbolize control and suppression of people by others. This symbol connects with many characters, their situations, and also helped me determine the theme of the play. First of all, the symbol of a doll house being used as the title of the play is very symbolic as it reflected the play itself. This symbol related to many characters as the characters in the play were either ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ibsen is trying to illustrate to the reader that the symbol of a doll house is used to point out that society is ultimately controlling all of the characters in the play through social expectations, and what is deemed the norm in society. Torvald is trapped by the expectations that society has for men, and Nora is trapped by others trying to control her. Nora decided in the final act that she was going to leave her husband and her children, even though she knows it goes against everything that society deems acceptable for mothers and women (and against what she instinctively knows to be right for her children). Nora symbolizes the change for the traditional roles for women, as well as the higher role that women will have in society. One of the themes that I discovered in this play is that, One should follow what he or she believes is right, and to not follow what everyone else is doing, if it goes against what he or she believes in. This theme relates to the control that society has over others, in addition, to how people should follow their aspirations and desires, and not be trapped by limitations or ... • 4. Post-Cold War Period Causes of Conflict Essay Post Cold War Period Causes of Conflict The end of the Cold War meant that the ideological conflict of dominance between East (Soviet Union and Eastern Europe) and West (USA and Western Europe) was over. Contrary to the expectations that world would be much safer in the post Cold War, United States and Soviet Union were faced with new security issues that they did not know how to deal with. The objective of this essay is to show that with all these changes that occurred with the end of the Cold War, causes of the conflict indeed altered from the classic ones. First the end of the Cold War and the changes in the world order that followed will be outlined. Secondly, the increase in wars within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Snow (1991, p.44) states that [i]n simpler days during Cold War, possession of nuclear weapons was thought to provide the possessors with the special power, that could be translated into usable influence in the international system . This means that some conflicts were kept under control because the world was ruled by bipolar system (USA and Soviet Union). However, conflicts were not absent during this period, but the parties in a conflict would often seek assistance from one of the superpowers and hence strengthen the conception of a bipolar world (e.g. the Vietnam War). With the end of the Cold War this system transformed into a multipolar system where new conflicts emerged. As Mearsheimer states, key elements in the Long Peace was bipolarity, an equal balance of military power and nuclear weapons. (Mearsheimer 1990, Why We Will Soon Miss The Cold War ). This factor was now no longer present, although some scholars argue that this era is characterised by unipolarism (i.e. US hegemony), rather than multipolarism. From wars between states to wars withinstates The vast majority of conflicts before and during the Cold War were between states. In the post Cold War period the number of interstate wars decreased, and new threats occurred, such as ethnic conflicts, rise of nationalism, global threats to the environment and terrorism. • 5. Making Schools Safer From Bullying Marcus Jones Professor Karis King English 11 11 July 2016 Making Schools Safer from Bullying Have you ever been bullied or witnessed anyone suffering from any form of bullying? If the answer is yes, then you should know the negative feeling that is created from it. The Youth Internet Safety Survey, conducted by the Crimes against Children Research Center at the University of New Hampshire, found that eight percent of the youth surveyed had experienced and reported some form of harassment. An old familiar saying is that Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me , which is a lie! Simple bullying is defined as repeated verbal, physical, and social behaviors that are hurtful to any individual or group of persons. It can include humiliation, domination, intimidation and all forms of harassment not limited to: race, gender, disability, or sexual orientation ( nsw.gov.au ). All forms of bullying have been proven to leave long term effects on the victims. Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non victims, according to studies by Yale University ( Bullying Statistics ). It is not just students that encourage the bully who victimized, but the students who watch in silence hurt the victim as well. Bullying leads back to the beginning of time, but in more recent years, it has become more publicly talked about. Although, the government began to nationally address bullying and advanced training is being provided to educators ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Factors Affecting The Generic Drug Industry Spending growth in generic drugs has slowed considerably from 42% in 2011 to 10% currently. IMS Health predicts the growth to maximize at 90% of the prescription market (Salazar, 2015). Though there is not much room between generic drugs currently representing 83% of prescription drugs and the predicted 90% maximum, the next twelve months appear a safe investment period for the generic drug industry when considering the currently growth rate. Many factors influence success in the generic drug industry; among the influences is the need for an alternative to higher priced brand name drugs. This was the original purpose of generic drugs. Initially, generics offered a considerable price benefit over brand drugs with a reduction of at least 60% for specialty drugs and 80% for oral prescriptions (Taylor, 2015). Recently, the rising cost of generics has drawn much scrutiny. Many factors contribute to the increased cost of generics. According to Salazar, increased product quality regulations, less new products entering the market, inflation, and the increased number of former prescription drugs being offered over the counter have all lead to higher generic drug pricing. An additional motive for the increased cost of generics may be pure greed. Price hikes as exorbitant as 5000% have occurred in recent months in some generic drugs. Taylor attributes the price hikes to the increased need for innovation and the lack of competition in generic drug manufacturers. These ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I sat up in my bed and reached for the pack of cigarettes sitting on my nightstand. I stood up slowly and pulled on my jacket, starting to drag my way outside. At first I denied it at all costs, there was no way, I must have been seeing ghosts, or hallucinating, or something. There s no way that he could be here. J Jason? I muttered in disbelief. I stood up so as to get a better look at him. I placed my hands on either side of his face and ran my thumbs over his cheeks. Jason placed his hands over mine and smiled. In the flesh. But how? We all saw you, dead, how did you ? He pressed a peck to my lips to shush me. It doesn t matter. There was a silence between the two of us until I began to tear up. I smiled for the first time in a long time, and a sob began to make its way through the air, making my body quake as I threw my arms around him. I could almost feel the sympathetic smile emanating from his soul as he comforted me just as he always used to. My tears eventually subsided, after what seemed like years. Why the hell did you do that? I spoke quietly. Jason seemed surprised by my question, as if he wasn t expecting me to wonder why the hell he was gone for a year, and not dead. Do what? The interment of the Japanese americans was a racist, unjust, and illogical act the will forever leave a stain on america s honor as a nation. Moving on, the interment of the Japanese Americans was a immensely racist action primarily for its indifference to other races. The internment of Japanese Americans only imprisoned those of Japanese descent. Furthermore, America justified this as a war act but the war was not against japan, it was against Japan, Italy, and Germany. Now one would ask, were people ... May it be by natural causes or unnatural causes the chaos and stress of relocating indisputably ushered it on. Furthermore the relocation hurt the west coast economically. Without the Japanese businesses and employees companies had to find new workers and new businesses to receive goods from. Also with japanese people gone so was a major chunk of money with them. With a loss in money the west coast must have suffered a kind of mini depression. In other words becauses there was less money circulating the west coast the value of money shoots upward. The Policy Language Of Clipper Mill Fed Accordingly, since Clendenin Bros., the policy language has been broadened seemingly in response to Clendenin Bros. and similar cases to include not only environmental pollution, but also, substances that are harmful or toxic to persons [or] property. The significance of this distinction was recognized in Clipper Mill Fed., LLC v. Cincinnati Ins. Co, 2010 U.S. Dist. In that case, although the pollution at issue was not environmental, the District of Maryland observed that: The policy in the present case contains an important distinction from that involved in Clendenin Bros. The CGL Policy tracks the definition of Pollutant contained in the policy at issue in Clendenin Bros., but adds, Pollutants include but are not limited to substances which are generally recognized in industry or government to be harmful or toxic to persons, property or the environment. . . . • 11. Emotional and Cognitive Intelligence Cognitive intelligence and emotional intelligence have both been widely examined with regard to their effect on individual workplace abilities. A critical comparison of the two concepts will be the basis of this essay. Some theorists have hypothesised that the ease with which an employee can process information and work towards solutions (our cognitive intelligence) is the key aspect in our ability to contribute to the workplace, particularly in more complex environments (Viswesvaran Ones, 2002). While others support the theory that our ability to use and adapt to emotion (our emotional intelligence; EI) has the greatest affect on our organisational involvement (Cherniss, Extein, Goleman, Weissberg, 2006). Through exploration of both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It has been studied and elaborated upon so much, that what was initially a concise realm of specificity, has particularly in the area of EI testing become convoluted by measures of social intelligence and emotional and social competencies (Cherniss, 2010), which while similar to EI do distinctly deviate from the generally accepted Mayer et al. 2000 model of it. Some measures even include tests of cognitive intelligence, the concept with which it is supposedly in direct contrast. This has led to criticism about whether or not measures of EI have construct validity (Cherniss, 2010). From a theoretical standpoint the equivocality regarding an agreed definition of EI most specifically affects the theorists studying the concept. From an organisational perspective the practical implications of uncertainty surround the measurement of the concept, as opposed to its definition. For example if an organisation relies heavily on a team which is cohesive, cooperative and connected to one another the business may screen potential employees to ensure they will suit the role using a measure of emotional intelligence. Here in lay the problem; if a construct cannot be clearly defined, how can a test every truly have construct validity how can the variables indicating an particular outcome ever be accurate, when we do not know exactly what we are measuring? Moreover, a focus on EI within businesses and organisations could have significant drawbacks. Unavoidable though ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Japan there is extreme pressure to get into a good university and get a well paid job. For some, failing to do so results in people shutting themselves in. A large aspect of Japan s enormous pressure on students comes from the entrance exams that students are required to take to get into specific junior high schools, high schools and universities. Failure to gain entry is a leading factor in becoming a hikikomori. The work required to do well in the infamously difficult entrance exams consists of extended hours of study and cramming schools, otherwise known as gakushū juku(学習塾)or juku (塾) for short (Suzuki 2013). These fast paced, late night schools leave students with minimal hours of sleep and social time and extended period of study and cramming. Both of them shocked me by their unique way of performances. From the very beginning, The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky strengthens in a volatile sense of harmonious movements. The Rite of Spring is quite different from classical ballets whose subtle interchange of the curvaceous, subjective lithesome in the flow of time that romanticism savored. In this particular dance which was carefully planned by Igor Stravinsky, Stravinsky s rhythms hit and batter; although highly asymmetric they are still pounded in such a new way that the score requires innovation in harmonious representation to make Stravinsky s invention workable. In this dance, there is no way are these rhythms presented subtly, in fact, they are habitually stricken out in harmony by the huge orchestra that the work uses. The Role Of The Teaching Assistant The teaching assistant needs to know roughly how to play the instruments and which ones create which note, i.e. Kettle drums have all the notes on it so need to be hit in different places to create the different sounds, and different drums in a drum kit for example create different sounds. They also need to know the names of the different notes and what they sound like and how they can be strung together to form a possible tune. By the teaching assistant having a knowledge in music in general this then allows the class to be potentially cut into two or more smaller groups depending upon the number of assistants there are. This means that learning would be more effective as the children are in smaller more manageable groups and the ratio of teacher/assistant to pupil is better and if a pupil has a question or needs help ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Teaching a group of seven year olds would require a lot of patience. They are still young and so therefore may from time to time not want to do what is asked of them as they have been given something to use/hold that makes a loud noise. Therefore it is important to know the schools policy and know the rewards and consequences within the policy to effectively promote positive behaviour and learning. If pupils see that their behaviour is affecting the lesson in the negative way they want, then that in itself is a reward for a job well done . It is the job of the teaching assistant to praise just as much as it is the job of the teacher. Praise boosts self esteem which is even more helpful in the pupils that lack a positive attitude and helps deter them away from making a disruptive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Items and the Resources behind Them Items and the Resources Behind Them People all over the world are using resources every day that they do not even think about. People are not aware of where things come from or what happens to those things after they are no longer in their possession. In the following paragraphs, I will look into five specific things I make common use of in a week. I chose to conduct my research on plastic water bottles, mechanical pencils, plastic grocery bags, cell phones, and ear phones. I will expand on the materials that go into making these items, and where they come from. Additionally, I will look into what happens after they have fulfilled their purpose and whether they are recyclable or not. Each type of water bottle has a different story. For the most part however, they are made up of similar materials. It is common that they are made using Polyethylene terephtalate plastics, which are also known as virgin plastics. The plastic is made by mixing hydrocarbons that are extracted from crude oil with chemical catalysts. The manufacturing process is described as each bottle being sterilized, filled, capped, labeled, packed into cases, and prepared for shipping. Transporting and distributing these bottles consists of shipping them in lightweight materials which are good for the environment since it cuts down on fuel costs. Most people only use water bottles until that 1 serving is gone. But they may be reused or recycled. When they are recycled, the plastic bottles are shredded into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We center on the first world perspective. Feelings of invulnerability lead to fantasy of omnipotence (9). Conflation of exploration and exoneration leads to the conception of responsibility. This includes isolating the event and conceptualizing rationality. Responsibility is the juncture of being acted on and acting. This causes the response. There is some basis of political community. Violence and vulnerability can be led to the exploitation of the ties we have with one another (27). Butler wants to say that we are always vulnerable. Butler wants to complicate the picture of autonomy. The narrative of autonomy leads to violence and stratification which in turn leads to dehumanization and derealation. We need to become aware of this process to understand our relationships. When we mention the narrative of autonomy we are speaking about the body. The body is both a site of private and public spheres. Most people see the body as only being in the private sphere but in reality, the body is constantly being regulated an example being like what clothes are appropriate to wear to different occasions. Butler wants to relate this to the relationships we have with legitimate power. Butler uses Focult s idea of sovereignty and governmentality. Sovereignty is seen as representative. It is an individualized, concentrated power that involves decision making. Governmentality on the other hand revolves around the process of law. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. The Mission Of Carbon Offsets Our Mission The mission of Carbon Offsets To Alleviate Poverty (COTAP) is to empower individuals and organizations in developed countries to address both climate change and global poverty. COTAP counteracts your carbon emissions through certified forestry projects in least developed regions which create transparent, accountable, and life changing earnings for rural farming communities where income levels are less than $2 per day. The Problem In developing regions around the world, hundreds of millions of people live in rural areas on less than $2 per day. This level of poverty forces communities to make hard choices between food, health care, and education. It is the poverty level where an estimated 11 million children die every year. Many of these communities are not fits for traditional microfinance, which tends to be primarily urban, and significant portions of their land are not suitable for agriculture. While there are many promising technical innovations and development programs which can increase crop yields, there remains a geographic limitation on markets where such increased yields can be sold. The result is that there are farming communities all over the world who could be made much less economically vulnerable if there were a way to generate significant supplemental income from non crop land usage which did not rely on physical distribution. • 31. The Secret Garden Quotes I was angry. I never cried. I didn t know how to cry. This quote was said by Mary Lennox, in the movie The Secret Garden, based on the book, wrote by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Mary is an orphan, brought into her uncle, Lord Craven s, house, Misselthwaite Manor. Her uncle took her in after a terrible earthquake in India, that sadly took the lives of her parents. Mary never really had any friends and was always alone, her parents were not very caring nor affectionate to her, and never really paid much attention to her at all, they only cared about themselves. This was very hard difficult for Mary, she would try to please them, make them love her, but it never seemed to work. Mary had almost anything she could have wanted in her life, but love, ... Mary tried to connect with them and be with them, but they never wanted to be with her, they neglected her in the love department. When Mary moved into Misselthwaite Manor, she was ornery, angry, and upset all the time. That was the way it was for her until she found her aunt s room and the key to the garden. Even though she found the key to the garden, she had not found the garden yet. When she found the garden she was so happy, and she actually started to smile, and be happy, she found something that she was really passionate about, and was willing to love and care for. This garden not only helped her open up, but it helped her help others to open up their heart. Mary helped Colin open up, which opened Lord Craven, which then opened Mrs. Medlock. If Mary did not go to Misselthwaite Manor, everything would be the same, she would still be unhappy, and Colin and Lord Craven would have never connected. The spell was broken. My uncle learned to laugh and I learned to cry. The secret garden is always open now. If you look the right way, you can see the whole world is a garden. That quote was said by Mary in the end of the movie, she did learn to cry, open her heart, learn to love, and learned that everything is a garden if you look the right way. The key to getting into the garden is kindness and trust, and the garden is your heart, if you are kind and trustworthy, you can be loved and in someone s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Argument For The Natural World According to Aquinas arguments, the natural world includes everything that is in existence. This includes ideologies such as motion, God, gravity, solar radiation, and our physical environment as whole. The natural world is not only made up of things that our senses can detect, such as touch and smell, but is also includes things such as God and gravity which are unattainable through the senses. According to Immanuel Kant, the sensible world includes anything that can become known to humans. The sensible world includes things such as time and space. By reviewing the definition of the sensible world, the plausibility of the argument for the natural world is effected positively. Due to the fact that the natural world consists of things that the human senses can detect, along with anything that is within the world, this argument goes hand in hand with the ideology of the sensible world. In correlation with Aquinas s third argument, something cannot exist being necessary and noneternal because in order for a being to be necessary it must be eternal. This is due to the fact that in Aquinas argument, a necessary being is eternal because nothing else brings it into existence. In order to better understand an example of an object that would exists at some point in each possible world, but not at all times within the actual world, it is crucial to understand the definition of each term. • 34. Arguments For Animal Testing Testing on animals has been a thing for so many years now. In fact, many scientists believe it should be done before human testing. But with it being around for so long, it has become a subject of controversy. People around the world share their views and opinions about whether it s really necessary, and some even question if the process is even ethical. While it is sad that animals have to come to terrible fates, the process of animal testing is absolutely essential to test the safety of products. Besides the obvious benefit, which is that animal testing saves lives, results are generated quicker with animal testing, so diseases can be cured faster. Sometimes the illnesses cured can affect animals too, so humans aren t the only ones benefited. Animals are also benefited by the guidelines put in place by the Animal Welfare Act, which makes sure that animals are treated fairly during the testing process. All in all animal testing is without a doubt crucial to test products that save both human and animal lives. Before putting a product out in the world scientist have to first make sure it is safe for people to use. To do this they have to test it on a living being. As said before most scientists prefer to do animal testing first. They are able to do this because animals and humans are very similar we have the same organ systems that do the same things in roughly the same way. • 35. Invitation To The Life Span Analysis In the textbook titled Invitation to the Life Span, authored by Kathleen Berger, explains Robert Sternberg s theory of love. Sternberg s theory has three parts which are passion, intimacy, and commitment. When all three are present, it is perfect love and an ideal that is sometimes attained (Berger, 2014, p.475). I agree with Sternberg s theory of love because I believe people look for these three notions of love to share with someone because they seem to work in unison. First, I consider passion an essential part of being in love. This is because people long to have someone to hold and show their affection towards each other. Secondly, intimacy is also crucial to being in love. Intimacy not only means to be physically intimate, this also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
