Psychographic, Behavioral and Demographic Characteristics
Developing a marketing strategy is an important tool to understand the company s target customers.
This helps to understand and communicate with the customer base and translate their needs
effectively. The two major strategies of segmentation are concentration and multi segment strategy.
Concentration strategy focuses or concentrates on a set group of consumers who are limited and will
use that brand. For example the manufacturers of BMW cars are concentrating on customers who
prefer high end cars and will focus their energies in the luxury segment of the car market. They will
give complete attention to customers who prefer to buy the car for the status symbol and brand image
that BMW carries and so the manufacturer will choose to focus all of their efforts on a single segment.
If BMW chose to use a multi segment strategy they would be marketing to every car user not for
brand image alone but purposes such as cars that are used on a daily basis by the working class for
mileage, reasonable pricing and other such practical aspects, this will not help BMW maintain their
brand value which may be affected and diminish in value. BMW has defined its market and it s
product as a luxury brand, high end car and that is the strategy they continue to concentrate

Women In The Colorado Mountains
The Colorado Mountains have been home to many strong females throughout history. Worthy of
mention are a handful of women who came to the high country for very different reasons, but fell in
love with the majestic beauty of the state, making it their permanent home and leaving an indelible
mark on the tapestry of its narrative. Two such women were Virginia Donaghe McClurg and Lucy
Peabody. Their lives became interlaced in their quest for conservation of the Mesa Verde cliff
dwellings, which were to be known later as Mesa Verde National Park. Although they started as allies
in their efforts, they later took different stances and even became adversaries at one point. Virginia
was from noble descent. She was raised in New York city and enjoyed

Philip Mendeleev Research Paper
Dimitri Mendeleev a Russian chemist began the periodic table in 1869. He began by rearranging the
elements by their atomic mass. He left blank spaces since there was a lot more discovery to be made
later down the road. A physicist named Atonie Bequerel was the first to discover radioactivity. Ernest
Rutherford was the first to discover alpha, beta, and gamma rays. Noble gases, electrons, protons,
lanthanides and actinides were also discovered by several other scientists. The periodic table began
with just forty seven elements, and now we have over one hundred. We are at one hundred and
eighteen to be exact, and who knows, we may or may not discover more in the future. Who were the
scientists? Dimitri Mendeleev Dimitri Mendeleev is mistaken ... Show more content on

Mosley was born in England in 1887, and he was born into a family of scientists. His grandfather on
his father s side was a mathematical physicist, and his grandfather on his mother s side was an
oceanographer. Henry s father died when he was just four years old, and he was a zoologist whose
book had been praised by Charles Darwin. Mosley was able to work with the famous Ernest
Rutherford and conduct laboratory experiments, but it was cut short because Moseley decided to
volunteer in the war where he was later shot in the head at the battle of Gallipoli in Turkey. He left
with seven elements discovered which are protactinium, hafnium, rhenium, technetium, francium,
astatine, and promethium. Conclusion In conclusion, the periodic table has gone through several
stages before it was even established. There many contributors to it, and they all were the reason why
the periodic table is the way it is today. The periodic table has been changed multiple times because of
new discoveries, and or the adding of the new elements that were found. It provides us with lots of
information, and it helps students anywhere from primary school to college in their science

The Portrayal Of Nabedience And Power In Sylvia Plath s Daddy
Sylvia Plath s Daddy is addressed to the speaker s father. The speaker describes the father as a
looming, unhuman force that stifles her. She introduces him as being the black shoe / In which I have
lived like a foot / For thirty years , poor and white, Barely daring to breathe or Achoo . Her
characterization of him being a looming, oppressive force is further reinforced by her description of
him as a marble heavy... ghastly statue with one gray toe / Big as a Frisco seal / And a head in the
freakish Atlantic. In her mind, he is a giant statue that stretches across the continent. She also calls him
a bag of God but, given her negative portrayal of him, saying he is full of God is most likely an
indication of his ego and power, not virtue. Plath talks about his appearance, saying there was a cleft
in your chin instead of your foot, but he is no less a devil for that, an allusion to the Satan who is often
depicted as having hooves instead of feet. The speaker shows no recognition of her father s humanness
nor moral nuance; he is but an evil force that oppresses her.
Sylvia Plath controversially uses German Holocaust imagery to portray her father as a nazi and herself
as a Jew to reinforce her father s cruelty and further distance herself from him. Plath makes it clear she
knows very little about her father s family and culture of origin, telling her father, I never could tell
where you / Put your foot, your root. All she knows about her father is that he is of German

Essay On The Bobo Doll Experiment
The Bobo Doll Experiment Alexis T. Smith University of Alabama at Birmingham April 2016 The
Bobo Doll Experiment was a study on aggression conducted by Albert Bandura at Stanford University
in 1961 because there was a lot of debate about whether a child s social development was due to
genetics, environment factors, or social learning from others around them. The purpose of the study
was to give credit to Bandura s claim that children behavior can be acquired by observation and
imitation of a trusted adult role model. The experiment was performed by a team of researchers who
physically and verbally mistreated a 3 and 5 foot painted cartoon clown doll, that is designed to sit
back upright when knocked down, in front of preschool age children, which led the children to later
copy the behavior of the adults by attacking the doll in the same fashion. The experiment is an
example of a matched pairs design, which is used when an experiment has two treatment conditions
and the subjects are paired based on a blocking variable, and within each pair the subjects are assigned
to a different treatment randomly. There were a total of 72 children within this lab ... Show more

The first stage of the experiment is called modeling. In this stage the children were individually shown
into a room where they would sit in one corner and pay with potato prints and pictures and the adult
sat in the other corner with a mallet and the Bobo doll. In the first group, 24 children would watch a
male or female adult abuse the doll both physically (kicked, punched, threw, and hit with different
objects) and verbally (made aggressive and non aggressive statements). In the second group, 24
children were exposed to adult who played quietly in the corner with the toys but avoiding the Bobo
doll. The third group, 24 children were not exposed to neither an aggressive or non aggressive adult.

Aggression Is It ‘Nature’ or ‘Nurture’
Aggression is it Nature or Nurture
During our lifetime every one of us feels anger and aggression occasionally, some more than others,
maybe as a child in the play ground or later as an adult when somebody cuts you up when you are
driving along. But what causes anger and aggression and why do we all suffer from it? Well there are
lots of different theories to what causes aggression and where aggressive behaviour comes from. So
throughout this essay I will examine the different concepts and theories from different psychologist
and develop and show an understanding of Aggression
Aggression is defined as behaviour directed towards another living being with the intent of harming or
injuring them in someway, and can be defined as either ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Males will either fight the current alpha male for the role of leadership or submit to him and become a
follower of that gang and follows the orders of the alpha male (gang leader) for fear of reprisals.
Humans are likely to develop similar behaviour patterns to that of other animals, Lorenz listed the four
main drives which are what makes us do what we do and these are: (hunger, reproduction, fear, and
aggression). McIlveen, Gross (1998, pp124) Hogg, Vaughan (2002, pp449)
The trouble with these two theories is that they are both very hard to prove through research, for
example Freud s theory is difficult to test empirically. As Mummendey (1996) has quoted the essential
concepts such as that of destructive energy are so global and inexact that one can derive no precise
predictions or hypotheses that can then be tested. The psychoanalytic approach is really only able to
attempt an explanation of events or behaviour that have already taken place . McIlveen, Gross. (1998,
pp125)
Anthropologist John Dollard and his psychologist colleagues Doob, Miller, Mowrer and Sears
believed the Frustration and Aggression hypothesis and according to Dollard et al. aggression is
always a consequence of frustration and, contrariwise...... the existence of frustration always leads to
some form or aggression . He believed there was a link between frustration and anger. Frustration or
some kind of frustrating situation or event always leads to anger and anger is always

Throughout centuries, architecture and monuments have given America the name it has today. Some
of the oldest forms of art made on American soil hundreds of years ago are what is cherished dearly

the United States in 1886 as a gift from France. The 152 foot figure was sculpted by Frederic Auguste
Bartholdi and constructed around an iron skeleton engineered by Gustav Eiffel. It stands on a 89 foot
pedestal designed by Richard Morris Hunt, with Emma Lazarus s sonnet The New Colossus ( Give me
your tired, your poor, your huddled masses ) inscribed on a bronze plaque at the base. Over the course
of time the statue has become what its creators dreamed it would be, the single most powerful symbol
of America and one of the world s great monumental sculptures. Inside the statue s pedestal is a
museum that exceedingly informative and entertaining. There is no admission fee for either the Statue

Essay on Classicism Versus Romanticism in Tom Stoppard s...
Tom Stoppard is one of the finest playwrights of the modern age. Some of his well known plays are
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, The Coast of Utopia, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour,
Professional Foul, The Real Thingand many more. The finest of all his plays is Arcadia. The literary
meaning of the term Arcadia inspired Tom Stoppard to write his play Arcadia. It was titled Et in
Arcadia ego . Arcadia actually means a vision of pastoralism and harmony within nature. The Greek
province of the same name has helped in the derivation of the term. The term s existence has also been
figured out in Renaissance Mythology. Arcadia refers as something unattainable as commonly as

The play focuses on the romance of the mind and the body. Remarked by early reviewers to be similar
to Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, Tom Stoppard had excelled in this field and gives a glimpse of his
theatrical genius with Arcadia.
Arcadia covers the two different ages the early nineteenth century and the present modern world,
matched, juxtaposed together bringing in a rare combination of the different facets of Classicism and
Romanticism. The two timelines talk about sex, literature, love, epistemology, landscaping, the
Second Law of Thermodynamics and the romance. Stoppard s intellect looms large over the plot of
the play and is efficiently presented in the form of this play. It is a two act play containing seven
scenes. The characters belonging to the early nineteenth century are Septimus, Thomasina, Mr. and
Mrs. Chater, Lady Croom, Captain Brice, Mr. Richard Noakes. Hannah Jarvis, Valentine, Bernard,
Gus and Chloe are the characters belonging to the present modern world. Thomasina Coverly, the
thirteen year old daughter of Lady Croom, is more interested to know what carnal embrace is than
anything else. With her Stoppard had presented a truly heartbreaking character. She is driven not only
by intellectual knowledge but by sexual desires also. Although Lady Croom tells Thomasina that she
must wed before she is over educated. With her Stoppard puts forth the classicism in an elegant way.

The Elder Sister
Located in our local museum of Fine Arts here in Houston, Texas the painting The Elder Sister done
by the famous painter William Adolphe Bouguereau in 1869 is known at the museum for being an
anonymous gift given to the museum in the year 1992. When one take a trip to the museum to view
this painting one gets this feeling of adoration. The painting between the two siblings gives out a
caring and calm perspective. A reason one can get this feeling of the painting created by Bouguereau
is because it shows on how the elder sister has the passion of caring for her younger sibling. Her small
smile painted on her face and her hold to her younger sibling shows the love she has. Including the
look in her eyes that has a straight glance to the art viewers shows the care and loving emotion.
Including as if her eyesight was showing one the same love and carefulness affection she shows the
younger child in her arms known as her sibling. One as an individual can see that Bouguereau
meaning or description of the painting he is trying to give is the purity and love that is shown by the
elder sister seated on the rock holding her younger brother. The painting can be easily known to be an
abstraction for trying to communicate with us visual. So that we are able to recognize what the painter

Identity And The Identity Of Identity
We live in a world where we are constantly dealing with the question of identity. Here is one of many
definitions of the word Identity from the Merriam Webster dictionary, The relation established by
psychological identification Who am I? What am I doing here? What is my purpose in life? These are
frequently asked questions within the minds of teenagers and young adults. In this day and age, there
have been times where many teens and young adults have tried to find psychologically where they
belong in the world and where they might discover their identity. Some will try to find their identity in
other people, (i.e Celebrities, Singers, etc.) and others will find their identity in what they listen to, or
the movies they watch, and will try to take on those personas. Because in today s society it is easier to
mask who you are, rather than discover what you are capable of. In this discourse we are going to take
a look at some examples of identity, and how we can better understand the meaning of it and how we
can apply it to today.
Issue of Identity #1: In David Hume s Bundle Theory of The Self, he states that there is no fixed self
(or identity) but rather they are all mere perceptions. (Identities) Lust, love, hate, fear, sorrow,
according to Hume these are all mere perceptions that have nothing to do with the idea or impression
of self, but that it is something that we perceive to be feeling. And that we are all made up of
perceptions and each

Tourism And Its Effects On Tourism Essay
1. Introduction:
In today s world, tourism has become one of the key factors of many countries, which contributes
significantly not only to the countries economies, but it also helps resolving lots of problems such as
employment. According to the World Tourism Organization (WTO), n.d., tourism consists of activities
of people travelling and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one year
for leisure, business, and other purposes. Nevertheless, in order to stay overseas for a period of time,
travelers have to use the currency of the country that they are staying by exchanging with their own
currency. Business Dictionary (n.d.) defines exchange rate among the currencies as the prices, which
is influenced by the interest rates, inflation rate, political stability, and so on. However, the currency
exchange rates among countries are changing every day. Consequently, tourism will be affected by the
fluctuations, and it is believed that they do have both negative and positive effects on tourism. In this
report, the researcher will investigate the following question, How do USD NZD exchange rate
fluctuations influence New Zealand s tourism patterns? in order to provide insights for the New
Zealand tourism industry as well as travelers.
Research questions:
What is the current situation of NZ s tourism?
What are the effects exchange rate fluctuations have on tourism?

There are numerous factors that have an effect on BMW s business and the consequences of its
operations, a few of which are beyond the control of the Company. The following information below

2) Legal
This includes European Union laws, rebellious behavior, sponsorship of cars (Formula 1) by tobacco
companies, minimum wage and tuition fees.
Many of the legal, economic and social developments, in our own society and in others, are the direct
result of political decisions put into practice, for example, the privatization of state industries or the
control of inflation. Whatever industry the marketing firm is concerned in, changes in the legal and
political environments at both the domestic and intercontinental levels can affect BMW and
consequently need to be fully understood.
3) Economic
This includes interest rates, government policies, rising taxation etc. Economic factors are of concern
to marketing firms since they are all likely to influence among other things, demand, costs, prices and
profits. These economic factors are largely outside the control of the individual firm, but their effects
on individual enterprises can be philosophical. Political and economic armed forces are often strongly
interrelated. As can be seen, changes in world economic forces are potentially highly momentous to
marketing firms, mainly those engaged in international marketing. In addition, a kind of economic
changes and forces in the domestic economy is also of vital importance as, clearly, it is these factors,

Vladimir Putin
In 1513, an Italian politician by the name of Niccolo Machiavelli distributed, though privately, a
political treatise called The Prince. This treatise was, essentially, a guide on how to effectively rule
one s country. It s important beforehand to define exactly what a Machiavellian is, before describing
one. A Machiavellian is a leader who, through his power and influence, works toward the common
good of his people. This can be done through fear, through deceit, even through manipulation. It is
important to understand the main principle of a Machiavellian; the end justifies the means. The end
being the common good of his people. Vladimir Putin is a Machiavellian in the ways he retains power,
institutes reform, and executes economic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His climb to power landed himself at the foot of the Russian presidency when President Yeltsin
resigned, naming Putin as his successor to office. Since then, President Putin has found ways to stay in
power through change in constitutional law within Russia, which had formerly caused Putin to step
down as President in 2008. However, as Putin had named Dmitry Medvedev his successor, Medvedev
in turn named Putin, Prime Minister. In most cases, Medvedev would ve run for a second term, but
instead stated he was switching positions with Putin, giving Putin his third term in office. While Putin
faced protests across Russia from the outcome of this election, he was largely able to stop the protests
by jailing the opposition and cracking down on any who spoke out against him. All of this leads up to
Machiavelli s 8th chapter, Chapter VIII in The Prince: Concerning Those Who Have Obtained A
Principality By Wickedness. Machiavelli talks of those who betray and kill friends to climb the latter
of power, only to realize that they can only ever achieve power, and never glory. A characteristic of a
ruler must be one of cold calculation, knowing exactly what to do should the moment come to inflict
some action of injury, as Machiavelli puts it, saying the ruler

Rhetorical Analysis Of 1800 Tequila
Essay 1 Rhetorical Analysis
A 1800 Tequila television advertisement from June 1, 2014 titled, Perfect Match , demonstrates a
handsome caucasian man walking into a boxing match after the main audience has taken their seats.
After sitting in a front row seat, a waitress with a bottle that says 1800 serves him a glass of tequila.
He stands for a few seconds while holding his drink in his hand, while he and a attractive female
create an instant attraction towards one another. The boxing match is completely ignored while the
two gaze upon one another. He sits down, still having a complete sense of awareness of the female.
She beams at him and rubs her legs with her hands slowly as if to show him. Raising his glass as if to
cheer, the glass of tequila is fully visible to her specifically. With the boxing match in the camera
angle, the female promptly vanishes. The man is in disarray and wonders where she has gone, but
swiftly she appears to be sitting right next to him. In one hand she has the same glass of tequila the
man has. The two raise their glass to toast as he stares into her eyes. The camera then focuses on the

handsome caucasian male who is well dressed is not only a desired figure, but a symbol as well. In
this case he is a symbol of success. The ethos appeal is successfully exercised in this advertisement
because the male seems to be well put together. In other words he is a quintessential figure of this
specific society. By using a handsome male, the audience is led to believe that successful people

NCAA March Madness Regression Report
In this project, many different statistics were used to try and predict the winners of the NCAA March
Madness tournament. To do this, statistics were tested from the previous year to see if they moderately
correlated to winning games. When a stat is moderately correlated, that means it relates to winning.
Using a scatter plot, a graph that gives a visual of whether or not a stat is correlated, correlation
coefficients were found for each stat. The correlation coefficient is a decimal that shows if a set of
numbers is moderately correlated. After finding stats that were the closest to being moderately
correlated, a metric was put together that used the best stats to determine which teams will win games.
The stat that was the closest to being moderately correlated was the turnover ratio of the teams.
Another stat that was almost moderately correlated was RPI, or Rating Percentage Index. This stat
uses a team s win percentage, their opponents win percentage, and their opponents opponents win
percentage to rank teams. Also, missed field goal percentage was a stat that was used. ... Show more

There is a catch, however. If any stat was strongly correlated, basketball games would already be
decided before the game starts. The team with the highest strongly correlated stat would win every
game, and there would be no point to the tournament. Strong correlations are an impossibility anyway,
because the game of basketball has so many variables. Injuries, crowds, nervousness, and plain luck
could make any team win a game, and these variables are unchartable. If one team has the best field
goal percentage and the best RPI, but they get nervous, they could lose. Metrics can t count for
nervousness. These variables prevent one team from winning every game every time and, at the same
time, make watching March Madness a fun

Transnational Corporation (TNC) Networks
The term of Transnational Corporation (TNC), as its name suggests, is a reference to a firm whose
influence is not limited to a single nation. A transnational corporation is a firm that has the power to
coordinate and control operations in more than one country (Dicken, 2011, p. 110). This influence can
take many forms such as subsidiaries or production facilities in other countries, but ownership is not
mandatory for a corporation to have sway in another country. A TNC could gain power in a country
other than its home through connections to suppliers or through the act of outsourcing (Stevis,
Transnational Corporations, 2013). These connections also hint at an idea, suggested by Dicken, that
in many ways TNCs are Networks within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are multitudes of roles that states can fill; which they are called upon to undertake can depend
on the type of capitalism and the wishes of the administration currently in power. One of the most
common roles of a state is to function as a regulator over the economy. Under this role, states can
provide structure to help support stable and functioning markets, such as providing the means to
protect property rights; regulations can also be used to restrict certain forms of trade, or to see that a
certain issue that is important to the population of the country is addressed (Stevis, Roles of Sates,
2013). Beyond this basic role, states can also act as both Collaborators and Competitors towards
private firms. States can collaborate to help bring a certain firm to the country, or to help others
compete in a certain market in the world political economy through subsidies and other benefits
(Stevis, Roles of Sates, 2013). States, however, can play the reverse role by competing against a firm
or market. This can take the form of both direct competition, such as through state owned enterprises,
or more indirect methods, subsidizing an opposing industry (Stevis, State Capitalism, 2013).
Relationship of States and TNCs Like the variance in the roles many states take on, the interactions of
states and TNCs can differ greatly. While it depends significantly on the form of capitalism the state

Nation and United States Essay
Words like country, nation, state, and even nation state are used to define social, cultural and political
relationships in the United States and around the world. There are many defining characteristics that
allow countries and groups of countries to understand each other, and in some cases, for unions. The
purpose of this essay is to briefly discuss nations, states, and nation states, how the United States
constitutes a nation state, and the European Union.
A nation is a union of people who share social similarities such as language, beliefs, culture, possibly
religion, and values. A state is defined by laws and politics, uniting people by geography, population,

Two examples of foreign policy objectives for the United States include ending the war in Iraq and
promoting peace in the Middle East. President Oboma has made it clear that he aims to end the war as
quickly as possible, although many Americans do not feel like enough is being done. He has mandated
that Operation Iraqi Freedom has been replaced by Operation New Dawn, and we have fundamentally
changed the mission of the remaining United States forces in Iraq (Foreign Policy, N.D). There is also
a goal in place to create peace in the Middle East, not just between countries, but within the Middle
East as well. In Fact, The President believes that we cannot afford to wait to work for peace in the
region, so he appointed a Special Envoy for Middle East peace on his second day in office (Foreign
Policy, N.D).

Isis-Aphrodite Research Paper
In 30 BCE, Egypt became a province of Rome. A devastating military defeat at the Battle of Actium
caused the fall of Egypt s Pharaohs and on a larger scale, the rise of the Roman Empire. With any
great changes in society come a massive change in expression, and the art of Roman Egypt is certainly
a prime example. The artistic canons and subjects of Ancient Egypt that had lasted millennia suddenly
change and are eventually replaced by Rome s. In this paper I will discuss the merging of the two
cultures and artistic styles. Isis Aphrodite is an amalgam of two goddesses and two art styles. As her
name implies she is a combination of Isis, the Egyptian goddess of motherhood, and Aphrodite, the
Roman goddess of fertility, beauty and love. This combination makes her the ultimate mother goddess,
representing both fertility and being a mother. She dates from the Roman Period, around 200 CE, and
was made in Egypt. The piece stands at the respectable height of 19 ½ inches tall and 4 15/16 inches
wide, and is made of white engobe, a type of slip with a little more filler than usual. The details are
painted with brown, black, pink and red terracotta. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A similar work to Isis Aphrodite is the Statuette of Isis Fortuna. It is another mixture of Egyptian and
Roman Goddesses from the second century, though this piece is actually from Rome. This sculpture is
much smaller at only 4 3/16 inches and is made of bronze. It is also seen wearing a calathos with Isis s
horn and disk symbol, though this one s crown is not nearly as exaggerated. Her dress features the
Tyet on the front. She holds in her right hand the rudder that represents Fortuna s control over human
lives, and a cornucopia of prosperity in her left. Fortuna is a Roman fertility goddess who controls the
fates of individuals and cities. Because Fortuna is another fertility goddess along with Aphrodite,

You Ready For Your Solo And Last Concert
Are you ready for your solo and last concert? I half smiled at him and nodded, feeling a bit emotional,
remembering why I was doing this in the first place. I suddenly felt calm, and I was ready for
anything. He nodded his head, indicating it was time. I took a deep breath, smiled, and walked out
with my violin that I have grown so accustomed to in my hand, feeling the rush of cool air on my face.
My conductor s loud claps could be heard from behind the stage, which was followed by an eruption
of applause from the audience. Once I got to my spot I bowed and tuned the orchestra: the plain sound
of the A string ringing across the concert hall. After everyone was tuned, we all seated to wait for the
arrival of our conductor. He came out and we all stood up and clapped. While everyone sat down, I
stayed standing, walking over to the edge of the stage. I looked around my surroundings again once
more, embracing myself for the moment. The crowd had suddenly turned into blurs, blending between
the lights. I had suddently felt a little better about playing. The conductor raised his baton up, looked
and smiled at me in reassurance, raised my instrument up, and I took in a deep breath.

The concept of product architecture is the scheme by which the function of a product is allocated to
physical components.[7]
The use of a platform strategy provides several benefits:[5] * Greater flexibility between plants (the
possibility of transferring production from one plant to another due to standardization), * Cost
reduction achieved through using resources on a global scale, * Increased use of plants (higher
productivity due to the reduction in the number of differences), and * Reduction of the number of
platforms as a result of their localization on a worldwide basis.
The automobile platform strategy has become important in new product development and in the
innovation process.[8] The finished products have to be responsive to market needs and to
demonstrate distinctiveness while at the same time they must be developed and produced at low cost.
[5] Adopting such a strategy affects the development process and also has an important impact on an
automaker s organizational structure.[5] A platform strategy also offers advantages for the

The Romans brought lots of things that we take for granted every day. For example calendars, the
census, indoor plumbing, fruit and vegetables, the police and even cats! One of the most influential
things the Romans did for Britain was build roads. When the Romans established in Britain they built
lots of high quality straight roads. The main roads that the Romans built were from London to York
(via Lincoln), London to Wroxeter (a village in Shropshire), London to Dover and Exeter to York via
Bath, Cirencester and Lincoln. The new roads meant that it was much easier and simpler for the
emperors to control their empire. This was because they could send messages and orders quickly. The
roads helped Romans to trade with each other. They also provided people with a much easier option
than to walk. The roads were mainly built by Roman soldiers as the authorities could guarantee that
the Roman soldiers would do the best they could for the sake of Rome. The Roman roads were used a
lot but many had to walk as chariots and horses were expensive. In spite of all the work that was put in
with the Roman roads, when they left Britain the Britons did not make use of the roads. The Britons
did not use the villas or baths either because of their close association to the Romans. Moreover the
Britons did not have any knowledge of how to repair the roads because they

know exactly what is happening. This lets him find peoples faults, which he jokes about. Feste has
mastered the art of jesting. He is always aware of the situations that he is in and how appropriate his
jokes are going to be. It is because of these things that he is really good at his job. Feste has many
puns and jokes to say such as: Many a good hanging prevents a bad marriage (1.5.17). Jokes such as

Downfall by Richard B. Frank
Downfall by Richard B. Frank was a very insightful book about the fall of the Imperial Japanese
Empire. The book was centered around the recounts and the opinions of Richard Frank on why the
Imperial Japanese Empire had collapse. He got his information from credited sources from some
highly classified documents from the time of all of the events had taken place. Throughout the book,
Frank made references about some minor reasons and major reasons as to why the Empire had
collapsed. His biggest reason was the dropping of the two atomic bombs. There will be more details of
that in the essay later on.
The first theme that Richard Frank had discussed dealt with the mini bombings that the United States
had down to Japan after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Frank said the reason for these raids on Tokyo
was to set the tone for what the United States was capable of. In other words, Frank felt these raids
were going to put Japan in the hole in a hurry. The raids were done by B 29s that dropped many
bombs on Tokyo. Frank said how these raids left tons of destruction to the city and said how there
were around 80,000 killed as a result of the raids. Frank described the city as having constant fire that
was hard to be put out. He said how this was Tokyo s biggest disaster up till that date. Frank
exclaimed how these raids had also slowed down the war process from Japan. He said it was because
of the shock factor the Japanese endured after the raids. Despite the raids that were committed

the discoveries in physics of Sir Isaac Newton finally laid to rest the idea that the Earth might be the

later, the mental explanations of Sigmund Freud left it impossible to hope even that human beings

Disadvantages Of A Big Family
There are many different components that make up a family especially a big family. A common
misconception is that all people in a family are similar, but the truth is that in order to have a family
you have different people that love each other despite those differences. Most of the time the largest
part of a family is the children, and the way that the kids interact is interesting. There are five different
categories that siblings really fall into that make up a family.
The superior one is the first type of sibling. This duty usually falls to the oldest in the family which
only makes sense because they often think that just because they came first that they know best. They
always make sure that you know what they think about your actions, and they are kind enough to give
constructive criticism even when not asked. How considerate! However, being the all knowing sibling
is not the only responsibility of this type. They also are either a mommy or daddy s kid. This duty is
taken extremely seriously, and they feel that it is absolutely a necessity to defend their parent
whenever their so called honor is in danger from another sibling. How they protect their parent is
actually quite simple where they will use a superbly developed matter of fact tone to degrade their
fellow kin back to kindergarten and ask questions such as, Why are you so upset? or You know you
don t have to yell. The key to this technique is to make sure that this is all done in front of their parent

The Czech Republic became a member of the European Union (EU) on May 1, 2004. Through the
course of the accession process, most barriers to trade in industrial goods with the EU have been
eliminated. The process of accession had a positive impact on reform in the Czech Republic, and
implementation of EU directives and regulations continues. The U.S. Department of Commerce
Country Commercial Guide for the Czech Republic summarizes the economic trends and outlook this
way:
The principal industries are motor vehicles, machine building, iron and steel production,
metalworking, chemicals, electronics, transportation equipment, textiles, glass, brewing, china,
ceramics, and pharmaceuticals. The main agricultural products are sugar beets, fodder roots, potatoes,
wheat, and hops. As a small, open economy in the heart of Europe, economic growth is strongly
influenced by demand for Czech exports and flows of foreign direct investment.
Heavy industry received major economic support during the 1950s, but central planning resulted in
waste and inefficient use of industrial resources. Although the labor force was traditionally skilled and
efficient, inadequate incentives for labor and management contributed to high labor turnover, low

  • 2. Segmentation and Target Market Segmentation and Target Market MKT/571June 09, 2014Erica Hayes Segmentation and Target Market Marriott International, Inc. was founded by J. Willard and Alice Marriott in 1927 and has been a leading hospitality company for over 80 years. It has more than 3,900 properties, 18 brands, and associates with its headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. The company boasts of revenues of nearly $13 billion in the fiscal year 2013 and is expanding globally. This paper specifically discusses the market segmentation, targeting and positioning strategies of Marriott Marriott Hotels amp; Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott in the Asia Pacific marketplace. Psychographic, Behavioral and Demographic Characteristics Developing a marketing strategy is an important tool to understand the company s target customers. This helps to understand and communicate with the customer base and translate their needs effectively. The two major strategies of segmentation are concentration and multi segment strategy. Concentration strategy focuses or concentrates on a set group of consumers who are limited and will use that brand. For example the manufacturers of BMW cars are concentrating on customers who prefer high end cars and will focus their energies in the luxury segment of the car market. They will give complete attention to customers who prefer to buy the car for the status symbol and brand image that BMW carries and so the manufacturer will choose to focus all of their efforts on a single segment. If BMW chose to use a multi segment strategy they would be marketing to every car user not for brand image alone but purposes such as cars that are used on a daily basis by the working class for mileage, reasonable pricing and other such practical aspects, this will not help BMW maintain their brand value which may be affected and diminish in value. BMW has defined its market and it s product as a luxury brand, high end car and that is the strategy they continue to concentrate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Women In The Colorado Mountains The Colorado Mountains have been home to many strong females throughout history. Worthy of mention are a handful of women who came to the high country for very different reasons, but fell in love with the majestic beauty of the state, making it their permanent home and leaving an indelible mark on the tapestry of its narrative. Two such women were Virginia Donaghe McClurg and Lucy Peabody. Their lives became interlaced in their quest for conservation of the Mesa Verde cliff dwellings, which were to be known later as Mesa Verde National Park. Although they started as allies in their efforts, they later took different stances and even became adversaries at one point. Virginia was from noble descent. She was raised in New York city and enjoyed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Philip Mendeleev Research Paper Dimitri Mendeleev a Russian chemist began the periodic table in 1869. He began by rearranging the elements by their atomic mass. He left blank spaces since there was a lot more discovery to be made later down the road. A physicist named Atonie Bequerel was the first to discover radioactivity. Ernest Rutherford was the first to discover alpha, beta, and gamma rays. Noble gases, electrons, protons, lanthanides and actinides were also discovered by several other scientists. The periodic table began with just forty seven elements, and now we have over one hundred. We are at one hundred and eighteen to be exact, and who knows, we may or may not discover more in the future. Who were the scientists? Dimitri Mendeleev Dimitri Mendeleev is mistaken ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mosley was born in England in 1887, and he was born into a family of scientists. His grandfather on his father s side was a mathematical physicist, and his grandfather on his mother s side was an oceanographer. Henry s father died when he was just four years old, and he was a zoologist whose book had been praised by Charles Darwin. Mosley was able to work with the famous Ernest Rutherford and conduct laboratory experiments, but it was cut short because Moseley decided to volunteer in the war where he was later shot in the head at the battle of Gallipoli in Turkey. He left with seven elements discovered which are protactinium, hafnium, rhenium, technetium, francium, astatine, and promethium. Conclusion In conclusion, the periodic table has gone through several stages before it was even established. There many contributors to it, and they all were the reason why the periodic table is the way it is today. The periodic table has been changed multiple times because of new discoveries, and or the adding of the new elements that were found. • 5. The Portrayal Of Nabedience And Power In Sylvia Plath s Daddy Sylvia Plath s Daddy is addressed to the speaker s father. The speaker describes the father as a looming, unhuman force that stifles her. She introduces him as being the black shoe / In which I have lived like a foot / For thirty years , poor and white, Barely daring to breathe or Achoo . Her characterization of him being a looming, oppressive force is further reinforced by her description of him as a marble heavy... ghastly statue with one gray toe / Big as a Frisco seal / And a head in the freakish Atlantic. In her mind, he is a giant statue that stretches across the continent. She also calls him a bag of God but, given her negative portrayal of him, saying he is full of God is most likely an indication of his ego and power, not virtue. Plath talks about his appearance, saying there was a cleft in your chin instead of your foot, but he is no less a devil for that, an allusion to the Satan who is often depicted as having hooves instead of feet. The speaker shows no recognition of her father s humanness nor moral nuance; he is but an evil force that oppresses her. Sylvia Plath controversially uses German Holocaust imagery to portray her father as a nazi and herself as a Jew to reinforce her father s cruelty and further distance herself from him. Plath makes it clear she knows very little about her father s family and culture of origin, telling her father, I never could tell where you / Put your foot, your root. All she knows about her father is that he is of German ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Essay On The Bobo Doll Experiment The Bobo Doll Experiment Alexis T. Smith University of Alabama at Birmingham April 2016 The Bobo Doll Experiment was a study on aggression conducted by Albert Bandura at Stanford University in 1961 because there was a lot of debate about whether a child s social development was due to genetics, environment factors, or social learning from others around them. The purpose of the study was to give credit to Bandura s claim that children behavior can be acquired by observation and imitation of a trusted adult role model. The experiment was performed by a team of researchers who physically and verbally mistreated a 3 and 5 foot painted cartoon clown doll, that is designed to sit back upright when knocked down, in front of preschool age children, which led the children to later copy the behavior of the adults by attacking the doll in the same fashion. The experiment is an example of a matched pairs design, which is used when an experiment has two treatment conditions and the subjects are paired based on a blocking variable, and within each pair the subjects are assigned to a different treatment randomly. There were a total of 72 children within this lab ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first stage of the experiment is called modeling. In this stage the children were individually shown into a room where they would sit in one corner and pay with potato prints and pictures and the adult sat in the other corner with a mallet and the Bobo doll. In the first group, 24 children would watch a male or female adult abuse the doll both physically (kicked, punched, threw, and hit with different objects) and verbally (made aggressive and non aggressive statements). In the second group, 24 children were exposed to adult who played quietly in the corner with the toys but avoiding the Bobo doll. But what causes anger and aggression and why do we all suffer from it? Well there are lots of different theories to what causes aggression and where aggressive behaviour comes from. Using a scatter plot, a graph that gives a visual of whether or not a stat is correlated, correlation coefficients were found for each stat. • 27. Isis-Aphrodite Research Paper In 30 BCE, Egypt became a province of Rome. A devastating military defeat at the Battle of Actium caused the fall of Egypt s Pharaohs and on a larger scale, the rise of the Roman Empire. With any great changes in society come a massive change in expression, and the art of Roman Egypt is certainly a prime example. The artistic canons and subjects of Ancient Egypt that had lasted millennia suddenly change and are eventually replaced by Rome s. In this paper I will discuss the merging of the two cultures and artistic styles. Isis Aphrodite is an amalgam of two goddesses and two art styles. As her name implies she is a combination of Isis, the Egyptian goddess of motherhood, and Aphrodite, the Roman goddess of fertility, beauty and love. This combination makes her the ultimate mother goddess, representing both fertility and being a mother. She dates from the Roman Period, around 200 CE, and was made in Egypt. The piece stands at the respectable height of 19 ½ inches tall and 4 15/16 inches wide, and is made of white engobe, a type of slip with a little more filler than usual. The details are painted with brown, black, pink and red terracotta. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A similar work to Isis Aphrodite is the Statuette of Isis Fortuna. It is another mixture of Egyptian and Roman Goddesses from the second century, though this piece is actually from Rome. This sculpture is much smaller at only 4 3/16 inches and is made of bronze. It is also seen wearing a calathos with Isis s horn and disk symbol, though this one s crown is not nearly as exaggerated. Her dress features the Tyet on the front. She holds in her right hand the rudder that represents Fortuna s control over human lives, and a cornucopia of prosperity in her left. Fortuna is a Roman fertility goddess who controls the fates of individuals and cities. Because Fortuna is another fertility goddess along with Aphrodite, combining her with Isis seems ... I half smiled at him and nodded, feeling a bit emotional, remembering why I was doing this in the first place. I suddenly felt calm, and I was ready for anything. He nodded his head, indicating it was time. I took a deep breath, smiled, and walked out with my violin that I have grown so accustomed to in my hand, feeling the rush of cool air on my face. My conductor s loud claps could be heard from behind the stage, which was followed by an eruption of applause from the audience. Once I got to my spot I bowed and tuned the orchestra: the plain sound of the A string ringing across the concert hall. After everyone was tuned, we all seated to wait for the arrival of our conductor. He came out and we all stood up and clapped. While everyone sat down, I stayed standing, walking over to the edge of the stage. I looked around my surroundings again once more, embracing myself for the moment. The crowd had suddenly turned into blurs, blending between the lights. I had suddently felt a little better about playing. The conductor raised his baton up, looked and smiled at me in reassurance, raised my instrument up, and I took in a deep breath. * * * * * I became obsessed with my music. I would come home every day after practice and would practice even more. For example calendars, the census, indoor plumbing, fruit and vegetables, the police and even cats! One of the most influential things the Romans did for Britain was build roads. When the Romans established in Britain they built lots of high quality straight roads. The main roads that the Romans built were from London to York (via Lincoln), London to Wroxeter (a village in Shropshire), London to Dover and Exeter to York via Bath, Cirencester and Lincoln. The new roads meant that it was much easier and simpler for the emperors to control their empire. This was because they could send messages and orders quickly. The roads helped Romans to trade with each other. They also provided people with a much easier option than to walk. The roads were mainly built by Roman soldiers as the authorities could guarantee that the Roman soldiers would do the best they could for the sake of Rome. The Roman roads were used a lot but many had to walk as chariots and horses were expensive. In spite of all the work that was put in with the Roman roads, when they left Britain the Britons did not make use of the roads. The Britons did not use the villas or baths either because of their close association to the Romans. Moreover the Britons did not have any knowledge of how to repair the roads because they ... The book was centered around the recounts and the opinions of Richard Frank on why the Imperial Japanese Empire had collapse. He got his information from credited sources from some highly classified documents from the time of all of the events had taken place. Throughout the book, Frank made references about some minor reasons and major reasons as to why the Empire had collapsed. His biggest reason was the dropping of the two atomic bombs. There will be more details of that in the essay later on. The first theme that Richard Frank had discussed dealt with the mini bombings that the United States had down to Japan after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Frank said the reason for these raids on Tokyo was to set the tone for what the United States was capable of. In other words, Frank felt these raids were going to put Japan in the hole in a hurry. The raids were done by B 29s that dropped many bombs on Tokyo. Frank said how these raids left tons of destruction to the city and said how there were around 80,000 killed as a result of the raids. Frank described the city as having constant fire that was hard to be put out. He said how this was Tokyo s biggest disaster up till that date. Frank exclaimed how these raids had also slowed down the war process from Japan. He said it was because of the shock factor the Japanese endured after the raids. A common misconception is that all people in a family are similar, but the truth is that in order to have a family you have different people that love each other despite those differences. Most of the time the largest part of a family is the children, and the way that the kids interact is interesting. There are five different categories that siblings really fall into that make up a family. The superior one is the first type of sibling. This duty usually falls to the oldest in the family which only makes sense because they often think that just because they came first that they know best. They always make sure that you know what they think about your actions, and they are kind enough to give constructive criticism even when not asked. How considerate! However, being the all knowing sibling is not the only responsibility of this type. They also are either a mommy or daddy s kid. This duty is taken extremely seriously, and they feel that it is absolutely a necessity to defend their parent whenever their so called honor is in danger from another sibling. How they protect their parent is actually quite simple where they will use a superbly developed matter of fact tone to degrade their fellow kin back to kindergarten and ask questions such as, Why are you so upset? or You know you don t have to yell. The key to this technique is to make sure that this is all done in front of their parent in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
