It comes from two Latin roots “multi” & “media”.
Multi means several or many, media means
middle.
It tells us that materials on the internet or in anywhere
involve several forms of communication to connect, that
is to be in the middle of the sender and receiver. It can
also be recorded for playback on computers, laptops,
smartphones, and other electronic devices.

Text Materials – important component used in written
explanation to deliver information in many multimedia
application. They are characters used to create words,
sentences, and paragraphs.
Graphics/Photographs – digital representation of non-
text information such as drawing, chart, photograph.
They give ideas in the images with the help of memory,
and one of the oldest forms of media.

stimulates imagination and can be added and
combined with all types of media.
Video Presentation– clips or full of videos that
show information. They are collection of moving

still images. It is a series of graphics that create an
illusion of motion to display pieces of information
