Different Social Structures in the Community.pptx
1.
2. Social institutions are organized and work in a
given society where classifications are
produced by social stratification, where social
relations between different people are defined
by factors such as differences in socio-
economic class, level of wealth and privilege,
type of work performed, level of education
attained, ethnicity, gender, etc.
3. It guides how people act and behave. A person’s
location in a social structure determines that
person’s perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors based
on his/her social class, social status, roles, culture,
groups, and social institutions that the person
belongs to. People develop these perceptions,
attitudes, and behaviors from their place in the social
structure, and they behave accordingly.
4. These are communities that involve both social
and political factors.
Typically, there is an advocacy for or against a
certain societal issue or concern, which may
involve legislation or policy.
Often, many specialized interest groups are acting
for or against the issue.
5. A social group of any size whose members have a
common cultural and historical heritage falls
under this culture.
These communities are united by the desire to
preserve their cultural heritage from modern
disturbance or intrusion.
6. Any economic or political alliance which is
specifically designed to reduce trade barriers and
foster cooperation among its members.
The growth of local economies in small
communities are supported by the proliferation of
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
