The bacterial spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi is the causative agent of the most
commonly reported arthropod borne illness in the United States, Lyme disease. Select
proteins produced by B. burgdorferi contain the von Willebrand Factor A (VWFA)
domain, which is responsible for cell adhesion via interaction with the extracelluar
matrix (ECM), glycoproteins, and metalloproteases. Such interactions are often an
integral part of the infection process and may be especially important for B.
burgdorferi, which relies on environmental changes in both the vector and host to
colonize, transmit, and infect. BB0173, a VWFA domain containing protein, has been
evaluated based on topology and adherence to human ECM proteins and integrins, to
evaluate its role during the infection process. The confirmation of protein localization
was performed by cloning the each of the three BB0173 transmembrane domains
upstream of the luminal P2 domain of the integral membrane protein leader peptidase

As a Sustainability major the topic of environmental attitudes comes up quite a bit.
What stops people from being more environmentally friendly? Why don t more
people car about sustainability and the health of our earth? After seeing the spectrum

amongst slaves, servants, and planters for approximately ten years. He witnessed
many forms of slavery and paid close attention to how the different slave groups were

conditions of the slaves to the servants. Ligon also discusses what their motives and

attentively to these noises the Theorbo created. What caught Macow s interest was
the fact that the Theorbo made different pitches in sounds. All Macow knew was
the drum, and how it was only capable of making a single tone. Ligon stumbled
across Macow a couple days after this had happened. He noticed that Macow had a
large piece of timber in which he was trying to duplicate the sound of the Theorbo.
What Ligon points out in this story is the fact that some of the African slaves (or
servants) actually have the potential to learn the Arts. Macow adapted to Ligon s
cultural practices and tried to duplicate them with this act.

A book of horrors, fear and death. The Plague is a book by Albert Camus which
weaves these emotions and events into one suspenseful tale. Each paragraph and
section is written and structured in such a way as to give the reader insight into the

passage from section 4, part 4, line number 1 to line number 35 gives us a glimpse
of the melancholy of the people of Oranto their dead loved ones to the extent that they
do not attend All Souls Day, for they were thinking of them too much as it was. Albert
Camusfills this passage with figurative devices, including, diction, personification,
