Water
− Water is fluid which forms the world's streams, lakes, oceans
and rain,
− Water is made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.
Different Types of water
• Tap water
• filtered water
• bottled, table, pure or drinking water
• spring water
• natural mineral water
• Even if water doesn’t give calories, it is a valuable nutrient
essential for survival.
• Water
– carries nutrients and oxygen to the cells,
– removes waste from the cells,
– helps to regulate body temperature,
– helps to absorb food nutrients and converts them into
energy,
– is crucial for many life-supporting chemical reactions
that constantly occur throughout the human body.
Mineral water is water that has either naturally or artificially
added minerals.
water occurring in nature with some dissolved salts present,
often bottled and sold as drinking water.

• Highly mineralised
• Lightly mineralised :-
− They have a fixed residue lower than 50 mg/l and a very low
mineral salt content.
• Oligomineral :-
− Fixed Residue : more than 50 mg/l and lower than 500 mg/l ( low
salt content )
− Fixed Residue : between 500 and 1500 mg/l ( medium-high salt
content).
• Medium Mineralised :-
−Fixed Residue : more than 1500 mg/l (high salt content).

nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps.
In healthy adults, these illnesses are usually mild and do not last
long.
In infants, children, the elderly, and persons with weakened
immune systems, these illnesses can be more severe.

  • 2. Water − Water is fluid which forms the world's streams, lakes, oceans and rain, − Water is made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Different Types of water • Tap water • filtered water • bottled, table, pure or drinking water • spring water • natural mineral water
  • 3. • Even if water doesn’t give calories, it is a valuable nutrient essential for survival. • Water – carries nutrients and oxygen to the cells, – removes waste from the cells, – helps to regulate body temperature, – helps to absorb food nutrients and converts them into energy, – is crucial for many life-supporting chemical reactions that constantly occur throughout the human body.
