EVALUATION PART 6
How did you attract / address your audience?
REACHING THE TARGET AUDIENCE
I believe that my title sequence has reached my target audience.
Although all of the audience may not be from the upper-class or the
middle-class, they will still be able to enjoy the action in the film.
From my research, I found that regardless of the social class my
audience is from, they will still all enjoy it.
PLANNING / PRODUCTION STAGE
Throughout the planning and production stage, I was looking for
what audience would like my film. Where my film is mainly targeted at
men, they may actually find the detective’s wife attractive, or even the
actor herself, this may even help broaden the audience due to the
starpower.
Also, my secondary target audience is women. In a film, a woman will
always like an attractive man, so in my film there are 3 male
characters, so they may find at least one of these attractive.
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
My audience feedback to the idea of the film was successful:
‘narrative is well established’
‘music choice is good’
‘the font choice fits with the genre’
These are some of the comments I received after giving my pitch.
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
Although my audience gave successful comments, they did give
negative ones too:
‘adding music will help’
‘deleting diegetic sound’
I showed my sequence when it wasn’t finished, and these are two of
the comments I got, but I also needed to add more footage.
TO CHOOSE MY FONT
I also used the audience to help choose my font. I handed out sheets
which a choice of fonts on it in order to help decide which fitted best.
