- 1. How did you attract/address your audience? Q5. CHARLOTTE COLLINS- AS MEDIA EVALUATION.
- 2. I think that through my media product me and my group have reached our target audience of 15 and over. This is because after we had completed the film we each individually decided to show it to a wide range of people to see who liked it and who didn't. After doing this the results which I got was that 18% of people I showed it to liked it, 5% did not like the film and 7% said they had mixed opinions. From this I realised 18 out of the 30 people I showed my finished project to, liked the film and this proved to me that we had successfully reached our target audience. The people whom liked it said that they were mainly impressed with our mise en scene as we included nun outfits and filmed inside a church to add verisimilitude to the film.
- 3. When planning in production one thing I did that I thought would be beneficial was looking reviews for different films that fell under the same genre as ours. This was getting constructive criticism and positive words from people even though they weren't my films. This therefore allowed me to then ensure that in me and my groups film, we were to use all of the notes we got after reading these. For example within the film 'mama' a review I saw stated "The seeds of a truly great horror film are here, but they aren't quite developed enough to leave you with something truly memorable." This then made me realise in order to put out the genre as a physchological thriller/ horror film we would need to include all the elements and clearly show them to convey our genre clearly.
- 4. To enable to figure out what we maybe did wrong in our film I further went on to ask the 12 people whom either disliked our film or was unsure about what they thought about it. These results enabled me to know what we could maybe do better next time. From this I realised that the narrative was the least successful within our film, already we knew that this may have been confusing to the audience as we struggled to put all of our story within it and had to result in adding a monologue over clips instead. To improve in the future we could possibly write a more understandable plot line so our audience could understand within the first minute of the film.
