7. As we researched our genre of film we also found out about the target audiences for similar media products to ours. One was 'Dumb & Dumber' made in 2003 This is rated at a 12 which is the same age range for my media product. The reason why I researched this particular film of slapstick comedy is because it was very successful in its distribution as it went to theatrical distribution, then onto video/dvd. And now onto TV. Its become so good that the producers even made another film later , 'dumb, dumber and dumberer' in 2009.
