Macbeth A Tragic Hero Essay
Crafting an essay on the theme of "Macbeth as a Tragic Hero" poses a significant challenge for
several reasons. First and foremost, the concept of a tragic hero itself is intricate and demands a
nuanced understanding of literary conventions. Delving into the depths of Shakespearean
tragedy requires a comprehensive grasp of the protagonist's complexities and the elements that
contribute to their tragic downfall.
Analyzing Macbeth's character involves navigating the intricate web of his ambition, moral
dilemmas, and the supernatural influences that shape his destiny. The task becomes more
daunting as one attempts to unravel the psychological intricacies behind his actions, questioning
the fine line between free will and fate in the context of his tragic journey.
Moreover, an effective essay on this topic necessitates a profound exploration of Shakespeare's
language and poetic devices. The Bard's eloquence and subtle use of symbolism demand careful
consideration, adding an extra layer of difficulty to the writing process. Composing a coherent
and insightful analysis requires the ability to seamlessly weave together textual evidence, critical
perspectives, and personal insights.
Furthermore, tackling the broader context of the play, including its historical and cultural
implications, adds another layer of complexity. The interconnected themes of power, ambition,
and morality in "Macbeth" demand a thorough examination, making it imperative to situate the
tragic hero within the socio-political landscape of Shakespeare's time.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on "Macbeth as a Tragic Hero" requires a multifaceted approach,
blending literary analysis, historical context, and an understanding of Shakespearean language.
Successfully navigating these complexities demands both time and expertise, making it a
formidable task for any student or scholar. If you find yourself grappling with the intricacies of
this topic or any other academic assignment, consider seeking assistance from professionals.

Conspiracy Theory Of Chemtrails
When you look up at the sky and you see these weird straight lines that are behind
jets those are called chemtrails. Chemtrails are created when a jet engine is
releasing hot, humid air into the atmosphere that is cold and has low pressure, the
result is these white lines that you see come out of the jet. To break it down the jet
releases water vapor and when it s coming out of the engine it quickly condenses into
water droplets and then turns into ice crystals. The ice crystals are the lines (clouds)
that are forming behind the jet engine. Some people believe that they are something
chilling. Some people believe in the conspiracy theory that the chemtrails are not
condensation that they are chemicals being secretly released into the
Legalized Gambling In The United States
The prior chapter highlighted how the prohibition of gambling has been an abject
failure. The current era with widespread legalized gambling has its problems, but it is
certainly an improvement over the restrictive policies of the past. There are many
contradictions and ambiguities in this current era with widespread legalized gambling
. For instance, numerous TV channels feature high stakes professional poker
tournaments, yet only 27 states allow social gambling. In other words, 23 states
outlaw gambling among friends even if the host doesn t directly profit or have a
house edge.
Obviously, there is no danger to the community from a small stakes house poker
game among family and friends. Accordingly, most police departments hardly

Otherwise, these kinds of investigations are an obscene waste of resources and
potentially dangerous when SWAT teams are involved. Indiana is one of eighteen
states where casino gambling is legal, yet social gambling is illegal. The political
debate with gambling has now changed dramatically because there are a number of
competing gambling interests. The debate has become less a question of the pros
and cons of legalization and more about which specific gambling interests stand to
win or lose. For this reason, it s unusual when politicians are upfront about their
conflicts of interests. One of those rare occasions involved Rep. Pat Rooney Jr. (R
FL), a member of the Rooney family which owns the Pittsburgh Steelers and race
tracks. Pat Rooney Jr. is also the President of the Palm Beach Kennel Club and he
was asked if he favored an expansion of legal gambling in Florida. He recused
himself from voting on the proposed legislation and candidly stated, We would not
be in favor because it would hurt us, in Palm Beach County. If there s a tweaking or
amending to include us, we would be for it. That truly is some refreshing candor in

Theme Of Cruelty Towards Children In The Poem The

In the poem Holy Thursday songs of experience and in the poem The Chimney
Sweeper , William Blake makes use of various literary techniques to portray the
theme of cruelty towards children. The poem Holy Thursday refers to the wretched
condition of children in charity schools. The poem The Chimney Sweeper refers to
the poor children who were used as slaves in England. My aim for this essay is to
explore how William Blakemade use of various literary techniques to portray the
theme of cruelty towards children in the two poems.
The title Holy Thursday alludes to joy and purity. Yet this poem highlights the cruelty
towards children in charity schools. Blake makes use of this contrast to emphasize on
the subject of the poem. Moreover ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Indeed the parents leave their child alone in poor and wrenched conditions to
furthermore pray for the well being of their family. This irony portrays the cruelty
towards children in the poem.
The poet effectively makes use of different metaphors to portray cruelty towards
children in the poem. Clothes of death is a metaphor for the chimney sweepers
uniform. The boy feels the injustice that he has to sweep chimneys as a child. The
noun death might allude to the harsh working conditions that the child has to face.
The latter hence might describe his work as a deadly task. This metaphor hence,
greatly contribute to the portrayal of children ill treatment in this poem.
The metaphor sing the notes of woe describe the child s despair as he begs
lamentably the people passing by to offer him a job that he hates. The noun woe
moreover highlights the desperate state of mind of the child and furthermore portray
the frustration of the child as he is cruelly dominated by his parents. Finally the
metaphor make up a heaven of our misery might be a mouthpiece of Blake as he
accuses the Charity schools, the other social institutions and the society to treat
children as

Descriptive Essay About My Day In My Life
Today was hot. The sun s rays wanted to cook me alive. I just knew it. Muscle and
blood felt like the ingredients in a hot stew called my body. Sweat rolled down my
arm and joined the other beads of the salty liquid. Why was the sun blazing? What
did I ever do to you sun? Is it because I haven t been out in so long to see you? I
closed my eyes for a moment, hoping the sunwould relent its harsh heat after seeing
me leaning against the steps in misery. As if feeling sorry for me, a heavenly wind
came across me. Even the clouds pitied me as they moved in front of the sun. I
savored it. That brief relief of heat wasn t enough. I needed more. I needed much

to push the bike out the door. I was behind it, so all his struggles was being wasted.
I leaned up against the back of the couch that was on the right side of the front
door. I kept a foot on the bike to keep in in place. James huffed and puffed as his
chubby, little arms tried to overpower my one leg. It was almost funny to see him
put all his weight into it. I stopped him and closed the door to keep the cool air in.
The poor defeated three years old rushed up the stairs in front of the door. I just

They were always knocking and scratching at the wall. I walked out of the kitchen

Similarities Between Macbeth And Oedipus
In the plays Oedipus the King and Macbeth, the authoritative structures of gods and
Kings are the dominant orders in the plays respectively. To be exact, kingship is the
dominant order in Macbeth and gods are the dominant order in Oedipus. In both
plays, the authors deal with justice and how it is used against the protagonists. Justice
ties in with morality, as justice is the treatment of the good and bad. The authors
show that morality is lacking in both of the text s dominant orders. Initially, Oedipus
and Macbeth acknowledge the authority of the orders. Oedipus consultation of
Apollo shows his acknowledgement of authority. In lines 80 to 84, Well I know you
are sick to death, all of you, but sick as you are, not one as sick as I... After... Show

If Oedipus suffers other than exile, it will be undeserved. In lines 884 898, Making
my way toward this triple crossroad I began to see a herald, then a brace of colts
drawing a wagon... I strike him in anger! and the old man, watching me coming up
along his wheels he brings down his prod, two prongs straight at my head! I paid
him back with interest! Short work, by god with one blow of the staff in this right
hand I knock out of his high seat, roll him out of the wagon, sprawling headlong I
killed them all every mother s son! Oedipus, while fleeing from Corinth,
encounters a man with his train following afoot. Oedipus then proceeds to kill
them all. Oedipus is well aware that who he killed was a man of authority; a man
with power. Who he killed happened to be Lauis, his father, and whoever killed
Laius deserves exile. Oedipus actions show that he deserves exile, but if he suffers
due to the prophecy, it will be undeserved as he has done nothing to make him
deserve the prophecy. Macbeth s murders call upon the need for deserved justice.

His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls That trace him in his line. No boasting
like a fool; This deed I ll do before this purpose cool. Macbeth deliberately plans and
executes the murder of Macduff s family. Macbeth deserves justice for his actions.
He wants to remove Macduff s line out of the face of earth. He deserves
punishment for the killing of Macduff s family and for killing Duncan. However,
again, the dominant order of kingship does not deal with personal justice, only
political justice. Therefore, the dominant order of kingship is lacking in personal
justice and is not wide enough in scope to cover personal justice. Macbeth deserves
justice for his actions, however there needs to be an addition in the dominant

Reflection On Organizational Behavior
Organizational behavior is not a single aspect of an organization but a major
feature or approach, which plays a vital role in all the aspects of the organization.
Comprehending organizational behavior is the most important tool for a
successful company. The analysis and study of the various concepts and models
of organizational behavior helps in effective understanding of many things. An
organizations strength comes from its values, cultures, and people. It offers
understanding of what all happen in an organization, the way in which the
organizational workforce is acting, and the way satisfaction of the workforce can
help in developing the bottom line of the business. Organizational behavior also
supports in analysing the way the employees, and the organization can have a
more efficient association (McShane and Von Glinow, 2015). The study of
organizational behavior has developed sense of understanding in me in respect
with the individual behaviours, and their value in personal as well as professional
lives. Through the process of learning this course I could visualize so many real
life scenarios of the chapters within my various jobs settings in the last 14 years.
Weather it was emotions at work setting, decision making abilities, company
values, conflict resolution I could look up to each chapter for various ways the
issues could be addressed better. Organizational behavior has not only taught the
importance of interconnection but also the various aspects of behavior which can
impact the working of the individuals. Over the next few pages I would like to
discuss my workplace organizational behavior, as well as the situations the wisdom
learnt from these chapters could make me a better decision maker. The first
experience or learning was, a few years back, there was a sudden change in the
management of the Hospital where I used to work in India which not only resulted in
workplace issues but also many challenges which made the working tough as the
Hospital was trying to get Joint Commission International certification, which enables
them to be strategically placed at an advantage for Medical tourism as various
hospitals in India were trying to achieve this certification as a status symbol at that

Essay The Relationship Between Producers and Audiences
The relationship between producers and audiences
Audience research, producer response to research and audience targeting
A producer when beginning pre production or even before will most likely look at
some form of survey s which would include things like possible cast members for the
film and the amount of audience that would want to see possibly be interested in
the genre. They will then take this to the writers and director of the particular film
and they will make amendments to how the survey has come out. A producer will
also look at the success of recent films of the same type; this is visible in recent
times with the resurgence of vampire films following the success of twilight saga
this has lead to TV series and films ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A producer who knows that their film doesn t have a lot of money or publicity
would use a film festival to get both of these things. Also these films will most
likely be in art house cinemas but if one is particularly successful then this could
move to multiplex cinemas the troll hunter is one of those films that has crossed
the brigde from art house to multiplex and is now being shown in over 20 vue
cinemas in the UK, the producer did this by getting the film publicity from channel
4 s sister channel E4 and making a competition for a private screening this made
the film sort after which then lead to interest from multiplex cinemas. But for films
that won t need that sort of publicity will have a big Hollywood premiere that
would most likely have a segment on TV showing the premiere and would include
interviews with the cast, director and any other notable person involved with the
film. Celebrities from outside of the film will go also to show the films quality and
also so that they themselves can get publicity, films like this will almost always be
shown in multiplex cinemas this is the same for Cars 2 but will probably have this
kind of showing but because it s a childs film the TV shows and so on will most
probably be shown on kids TV most obviously the Disney

people is that you can only do e business through the Internet. Conversely, that is just
a part of this seemingly clear cut novelty. E Business is the complex fusion of

An e business solution for an enterprise is the incorporation of all aspects of the
business operation into an electronic format. Many well established businesses
have been selling on line for years. Columbia Records has been selling music
directly and indirectly (through their artists website) to end users for years. When
Columbia Records has incorporated an e business solution, the business will
experience a lower operation cost while at the same time increasing its profit. The
e business solution will allow the company to eliminate unnecessary paperwork.
All paperwork and data can be transformed into an electronic format. Thus, it will
eliminate valuable shelf space and data can be searched and accessed in a matter
of seconds. E business will also automate the sales process. Thus, efficiency will be
significantly improved. With an e business solution, the business will be open 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. People from anywhere in the world with Internet access
will be able to visit the site at any time. They will not be restricted to the normal
business operating hours. A brick plus mortar business is normally limited to serving
the customers in its local geographical location. With an e commerce solution, that
business will not be limited a geographical restriction, rather it opens itself to the
global on line market. Essentially, the business market exposure will be greatly
increased. The initial reaction to the Internet from
The Jade Peony by Wayson Choy
This passage is adapted from Wayson Choy s The Jade Peony and portrays the fear
of a young boy who has recently lost his mother. The reader is able to infer the
situation from the passage despite it not being clearly mentioned. The reader
infers that the passage is about a juvenile boy who sits beside his dying mother and
is then taken care of by family friends, predominantly the Chins. The reader is able
to assume that the mother of the child has died, by the mention of how my [his]
mommy s voice... would never say again. This along with the hullabaloo and a
sense of emergency projected in the first paragraph indicate that the mother is no
more. The rigid arms suggest that the mother s arms are dead. The cacophony of
the word rigid creates a sense of chaos for the readers. The passage is written in
first person narrative, providing the reader with meaningful insights from the boy
who has lost his mother. The author makes use of varying sentence styles. Simple
sentences are used to merely narrate the event Mr. Chin was shouting instructions.
Mrs. Chin called my name. These simple sentences help maintain a slow pace of
the text, and create a dull tone to commemorate the death. Some sentences like the
ones in Lines 3 5 are fragmented, revealing the incident one step at a time. Choy
makes use of various symbols and techniques to provide reassurance to the young
boy. Anaphora is successfully used in Lines 7 ( Don t be afraid... don t be afraid... )
to reassure the boy
Hormone Replacement Therapy Essay
Hormone Replacement Therapy in Transgendering the FTM Transsexual
Gender may well be the most defining factor in the spectrum of elements that
comprise the human persona. In fact gender is so basic to our identity, most people
mistakenly assume that our sense of being male or female is defined with absolute
certainty by our anatomical sex. Contrary to popular belief, our sense of gender and
anatomical sex are two distinct elements; each developing at different times in
different parts of the body. While my research is limited to hormonereplacement

Overview of Hormone Replacement Therapy for the FTM Transexual
Fundamental to sex reassignment treatment of transsexuals is the acquisition of the
sex characteristics of the other sex to the fullest extent possible. With the exception
of the internal and external genitalia, sex characteristics are contingent of the
biological effects of the respective sex steroids. Hormonal reassignment has
therefore two aims: 1) to eliminate, in so far as possible, the hormonally induced
secondary sex characteristics of the natal sex and 2) to induce those of the new sex.
Biologic females treated with testosterone experience the following permanent
changes: a deepening of the voice, clitoral enlargement, mild breast atrophy,
increased facial and body hair and male pattern baldness. Reversible changes include
increased upper body strength, weight gain, increased social and sexual interest and
arousability, and decreased hip mass.
Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT)
Hormones are long range chemical messengers of the body, manufactured and
controlled by the endocrine system. The hypothalamus produces gonadotropin
releasing hormone (GnRH). This signals the anterior pituitary gland to synthesize
and release luteinizing hormone (LH). To a lesser degree, GnRH also triggers the
synthesis and release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). Subsequently, LH and
FSH signal the gonads (ovaries in females, testes in males) to synthesize and release
hormones that cause

Before the narrator leaves the signalman s box the signalman promises to tell the
narrator what has been troubling him. If you ever make another visit, I will tell you .
This suggests that the signalman is scared of something that he isn t sure he is ready

When the narrator returns to the signalman s box a second time the signalman tells
the narrator what is troubling him he says that he ran into the tunnel because a

word trickling suggests that the tunnel is wet, damp and eerie. This is typical of the

stormy. The signalman then explains to the narrator how dead people were brought

Steroids And Other Performance Enhancing Drugs
Steroids and other performance enhancing drugs have been banned from Major
League Baseball since 1991; however, this law was not strictly enforced by the
Major League Baseball Players Association (Anabolic Steroids). The MLBPA to
date has become much more involved in the issue of PED use in the MLB, and
they do test many of the players for traces of steroids. Few players are caught each
year, but when a big name pops up, the whole debacle headlines newspapers,
constantly talked about on sports networks and becomes a huge deal. That big
name player that was caught using steroids is then given an agreed sentence of
suspended games, sometimes they are even revoked of their chance to be in the
exalted MLB Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The use of steroids and other
performance enhancing drugs should be more heavily managed and more
severely punished. For years my coaches have told me that baseball is a metaphor
for life. This is true in many ways. There are countless activities and goals one can
chase after in life, but all of them are based on the person s character. It is critical to
make wise decisions, and carry out those decisions well. Making the wrong decisions
or poorly executing the right ones will eventually change one s character in a
negative manner. Although sports differ from each other in multiple ways, every
sport has an end goal that is fundamental to the sport, and toward all activity in that
sport. I have three main points about players that use PEDs: they

Workplace Health and Safety
Shortcomings with regards to the workplace are a result of poor supervision and the
need for employees to be made more aware of the consequences of their actions by
managers, supervisors and their peers alike. Removal of objects causing obstructions
or increasing risk of slips, trips and falls is mostly a supervisory responsibility.
These included unsuitable rugs, PPE storage and used pallets (5, 16, 24 amp; 27).
There were instances where simple, inexpensive alterations and consultation by
management with staff and supervisors would reduce risks throughout all facilities.
Signs legible by all staff (6.) and shared facilities (7) are cases in point. The use of
available manual handling was not evidently enforced as a matter of routine (10)

The once legendary Murray Hill, continues to run the best view of the Empire State
Building. As residents understand, the location from East 34th to 42nd Street and
from the East River to Madison Avenue represent genuine wealth and top notch New
York citizenship. With the Chelsea portion of Manhattan extremely near, the
enriched beauty of the luxury condos and prewar buildings uphold their prime along
with brilliant landscaping and conveniences. Marray s Wharf started this luxurious
reputation, after a Quaker merchant named Robert Murray moved into the area
from Pennsylvania. During the mid 1700s Robert Murray and his family relocated
to New York with no fear of success. He began his journey as a member of the
Society of Friends, and the patriotism of his family continued throughout the
Revolution during the late 1700s ultimately, spending moments entertaining the
legendary likes of George Washington and the genre of the British. Unfortunately,
the Murray legacy was erased by the early 1800s due to fire and demolition, which
is now parts of New York and Harlem Railroad. Top Five Attractions Murray Hill 1.

What Is Hitler s Justification For A Pure Blooded Race
A Master Race : The Twisted Justification Behind Eleven Million Murders
Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf, Blood mixture and the resultant drop in the racial
level is the sole cause of the dying out of old cultures ( Chapter 11: Nation and
Race ). This quote describes the dissolving of the Aryan Race, the race Hitler
described as the Master Race. The backbone of the Holocaust was Hitler s idea of a
master race. The master race would be a pure blooded race that would populate the
entire world. However, Jews and other minorities did not qualify as being racially
pure . This gave Hitler the excuse to exterminate undesirables . Hitler s plan of
systematic murder of these peoples lead to the horrendous Holocaust. Many factors

Before becoming Chancellor of Germany, Hitler joined the Nazi Party. In 1920,
with the help of Hitler, the German Worker s Party was constructed. In the
agreement, it stated, No Jew, therefore, may be a member of the Nation ( Nazi
Racism ). Because Hitler spread his beliefs of racial purity very forcefully, he
ended up in prison. While there, Hitler wrote Mein Kampf, or My Struggle, a auto
biography that described Hitler s beliefs. Within the book, Hitler describes history
as the struggle between races for living space . More specifically, he depicted the
Jews as an exceptional evil, working within the nation to subvert racial purity
(Chapter 11). The Jews were not the only victims subjected to his hatred. In Mein
Kampf, Hitler discussed his birthland, the Austro Hungarian Empire. He blamed
diversity for its weakness and further strengthened his argument by declaring that
all of the weaker nations were weak because of their variety of cultures. Hitler
accused democracy for giving minorities power in government, which resulted in a
pointless government ( Ideological Theory ). According to Hitler s beliefs, inferior
races were stealing resources that could be used by a master race; The lesser race
should be exterminated for the benefit of the master race ( Deadly Medicine:
Creating the Master Race ). This theory turned into the Final Solution: Hitler s deadly

Renaissance In Europe
The Renaissance was a period of enlightenment influenced by classicalism, the
rediscovery of greco roman arts. It is considered the bridge between the Dark Ages
and the Modern era. The movement originated in Italy, the country that would
eventually become the focal point for the rebirth of Europe. Although Italyis attributed
with creation of the Renaissance, its success was simply a result of its relationship
with the Islamic world. The Islamic world enabled Europes transition from the
Medieval period to the Renaissance.
Italy became the center of the Renaissance because of its immense wealth. It was

He then repaid his liabilities, and distributed the remainder of the spices all over
Europe. Mariano s immense profit encouraged the Venetian population to invest in
the spice business. Eventually, the Venetians controlled the trade of spices in Europe.
Venice s trade in the pepper business was the formative event in Venice s business
relationship with the Islamic world. The Venetians also profited from their adept
shipbuilding and sailing. In 1082, the Byzantines established trade treaties with the
Venetians. This agreement was formally known as the Byzantine Venetian Treaty of
1082. The treaty provided Venice with concessions, a product that is granted in
response to demands, in return for their help in the wars against the Normans. In 1453
the Byzantine Empire fell to the Arab Ottomans. It was likely that this event would
mark the end of the Venetian s concessions with Constantinople, which was now
Istanbul. Nonetheless, Venice was quick to form trade treaties with the Turks, the
new inhabitants of Constantinople. This mutually beneficial relationship with the
Ottomans eventually became one of the most successful trade relationships in history.
The Venetians and the Ottomans were logical trading partners. Venice lacked
agricultural resources because of its geography. Therefore, they imported an
abundance of grains provided to them by the Ottomans. The Ottomans plethora of
grains was a result of them conquering Egypt and its Nile River,

Johnny Byron In Jerusalem
In Jerusalem, Johnny Byron is portrayed as an evil entity, compared throughout the
play to ogres, dragons, wolves and an outsider on the fringes of society. This could
be interpreted as Johnny being a monster, a character from a fairy tale full of
magic that lures in innocent children for their rites of passage and possible
downfall. However, this could be seen as an unfair interpretation of Byron due to
suggestions of other more positive beings like the magic of the Romany blood and
a modern day Peter Pan. The fact that he s in the forest and the fringes of society
also alludes to Byron being an omniscient being. It shows Byron in a positive light
because of the escape he offers to the characters and the magic of the woods and what
could be considered the Green World. The two possible interpretations bring into

Henry Ford Essay
Early Years
Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863, on a farm in Dearborn, Michigan. The Ford
farm of ninety acres included many different wildlife such as bobolinks , foxes, and
much more (Harris 7). Like most other farms, the Ford s had cows, horses, and
orchards. Being open to such nature, Henry Ford came to know and love it (Harris 7).
In Henry s younger days, it was usual for farmers to make things they needed. The
ford farm had a gristmill, a sawmill, a blacksmith shop, and a weaving machine. As
Henry grew older, he was expected to help with the farm work. Henry hated to plow,
to plant, and milk cows; all he enjoyed was the machinery.

Clara Bryant
Henry Ford took dancing lessons on the waltz and the polka to improve his prospects.
One night at a harvest moon dance, late in 1884, Henry met Clara Bryant. Clara was
a close friend of Henry s sister Margeret, but he never noticed her. Henry realized
after 30 seconds of conversation that Clara Bryant was the girl for him (Collier 26).
Since Henry s mother s death, Clara was the first to have confidence in Henry, so he
called her the believer (Harris 15). When William Ford saw his son falling in love,
William offered an acre parcel to Henry called the Moir place , as a wedding gift. The
two lovebirds married on April 11, 1888 and settled down.
On September 25, 1888, henry and Clara packed their things and moved to a house
on John R Street. Henry worked a few hours from home at Detroit Edison
Illuminating Company. Henry was soon making $1000 a year as chief engineer.
On November 6, 1893, Clara gave birth to her first child, which Henry named Edsel

gasoline engine. In the spring of 1896, Henry axed down a hole in the wall and rode

Mazda Integrated Marketing Communications
The Integrated Marketing Communications had a big role in the success of Mazda

advertising their automobiles. As a result, their production and sales went up.
The following elements of Integrated Marketing Communications were used to
market the automobiles:
The Customer s Perspective Integrated Marketing Communications
Integrated Marketing Communications is about understanding the consumer and their
needs. Marketing is not only about advertising what can you give to your customers
but how can you cater their needs. Customers are very cautious with what you can
give to them. This is the proposition of What s in it for me?
Organizations need to build relationships with their customers. Marketing is letting

have to be innovative and competitive in advertising and marketing our products.
Mazda had focused on the prices and functional features of their cars. This resulted to

Target market and customers
One of our target markets is white collar employees with middle or high income.
These people pay more attention on quality of life and have a good consumption
level. Another is business customers, which need flowers to decorate the site of
activities, parties, events or meetings.
Competition
However, there are some strong competitors in this market, especially Starbucks. It is
the world s largest coffee shop chain from America. Starbucks enjoyed a higher
reputation and strong brand effect in China. There are about 31 Starbucks in Suzhou
alone, but some problems are observed in the course of rapid extension. For
instance, single and boring of the unchangeable products and service is a big
weakness. To the contrary, Seventh Heaven CafГ© provides a combination service
and products to customers. It is a novel and creative form to attract people. Besides,
high quality service and elegant environment are our powerful points of attraction.
Sales and marketing strategy
To gain more customers, the price of our products is slightly below the Starbucks.

The Objectification Of Women Against Feminism
Beginning in 1848, women have wanted to have the same opportunities and rights
men do. Since then, women have made great strides to reach that goal; however
there is still so much to do! Women Against Feminism (WAF) is a page created on
Facebook that eventually ended up on the major social media pages. This page
makes it evident of how much further we still have to go as women. The title alone
makes you believe the page is about women disagreeing with all feminist ideals;
however, after actually scrolling through the page it is clear most of the women
posting have not truly grasped what exactly they are claiming to be against. If women
are going to chastise feminismthey should at least understand it. If they do not, what

Glow Sticks History
Glow sticks and LED light sticks are commonly seen in popular society at concerts
and festivals. However, glow sticks have several other uses and were originally
invented for use in the military. In the 1960s, scientists were interested in the light
fireflies produced in nature. They discovered that this lightcould be produced without
energy or heat using a chemical compound called luciferin. A Brooklyn born
chemistry specialist named Edwin A. Chandross accidentally identified the chemical
mixes needed to create the glow of a glow stick when experimenting with luminol.
The first light products using this mixture were created and patented by Michael M.

Bill Of Rights And Discrimination In The United States
Race is, a group of people sharing the same culture, history, language, or an ethnic
group. In the USA, we are made up of literally hundreds of different ethnic groups,
with different races. From African Americans to mexicans, and from scottish to
Chinese, we all are different. Does that mean we can put them down, and fight them
because of the difference? On September 25, 1789, the United State s government
passed a bill, The Bill of Rights. This bill gives every US citizen, 27 rights. From the
freedom of religion, to abolitioning slavery. The fourteenth amendment says we all
have the Right to be free from discrimination. So even with a law that says you can t
discrimination, people do.
Why is discrimination a law? Why does the this hurt people?
Pill Bug Lab Report
Introduction: Terrestrial isopods, also known as pill bugs, are comprised of a
variety of different species and are known for their adaptability to different
environments, which have certain wavelengths of light and sufficient water and
nutrients to survive (Danielson et. al. 1976). They are usually found in moist, dark
areas because they are extremely vulnerable to dehydration and need a sufficient
amount of water to survive (Wagler et. al. 2013). Given these simple characteristics,
isopods are of great and easy use for scientific studies. The goal of the first
experiment was to determine whether or not isopods prefer a moist environment or a
dry environment. This led to the hypothesis that isopods have a preference between
wet or dry environments;... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This is a famous quote from the novel Red Rose, White Rose written by Eileen
Chang, one of the most influential contemporary Chinese femalewriters. There is no
doubt that some modern critics and feminists may point out that this idea of gender
role is opposed to gender equality and balance of a relationship. However, men and
women throughout generations do possess distinctive functions congenitally and,
eventually, lead to different mentality and physiological reactions when they fall...

A Study On Stones River National Battlefield
The historical site I selected as the subject of my study was Stones River National

my experience visiting the site. First, I will explain my reason for choosing the
site. Second, I will discuss preparation for my visit. Third, I will give a description
of the site. Fourth, I will explain what makes the site historic. Fifth, and finally, I
will discuss my impressions of the site. A number of years ago, I performed for the
Williamson County Historical Society in Nolensville, Tennessee. The primary
speaker at the event was Larry Hicklen, owner of the Civil War relic store
Yesteryear, which is near Stones River National Battlefield. He was discussing
Nolensville s involvement in the Civil War. He encouraged me to visit his store, as
well as the battlefield. Unfortunately, as a college student, my free time is limited.
Therefore, I found few opportunities to visit either location. I took this assignment as
a chance to visit the battlefield, having previously been to the Carter House, the
Hermitage, and Sam Davis Home, being well familiar with the last of these locations
due to my having performed Civil War era music there numerous times. I was,
unfortunately, largely unfamiliar with the events of the Battle of Stones River,
despite being a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. I searched for information
about the battle in four different American history books in my possession, two of

F Class Reflection
The past two and a half weeks have been an adventure for me, with Spies...Like Us:
Cold War Literature being perhaps my most engaging and interesting class this
term. Each day I ve learned something new, and I ve observed from a distance our F
period class evolve. Through watching others receive criticism and ridicule, and
experiencing such ridicule myself on certain occasions, I hold the firm belief that
this course has succeeded, and far surpassed my expectations, in its experiential
learning aspect. On Wednesday, November 29, the first day of English for the winter
term, I remember walking into the classroom and being told to push my chair away
from the Harkness table for not wearing red. That day, we watched a documentary on
the Iron Curtain, and I had taken notes with my notebook in my lap quite an
uncomfortable experience. After classes that day, I had assumed that the wear red
policy was a practical joke an introductory activity and I left my calendar for the
next day blank. When I walked into the classroom on Thursday, I immediately
knew I had made a mistake. For a second day in a row, I was exiled from the
Harkness table. As I stared at the chalk board that class period, I vowed to myself
never to make the same mistake again. From then on, I have had a calendar entry
for every English day that reminded me to wear red. That Thursday was the last
time I neglected to wear red to English class this past Turkey Term. Although I only
had a few pieces of red clothing,

Regret In Ender s Novel
Regret has a very impactful effect on this novel by helping progress the plot and
introduce many themes that can be seen in every character. Those themes help
show the reasoning for regret, as well as different ways that it can be handled. In
this novel, different characters experience different levels of regret. Some characters
experienced more regret than others, and they all handle it differently because of the
circumstances that they were put in. Regret is very present all throughout the book.
Regret can be seen in two of the main characters. With Ender, you can still sense the
regret of killing off an entire species. Even though he knows that he had no intention

In the very beginning, one of the reasons that Ender was motivated to go to
Lusitania was to see the next ramen species, the pequeninos. He regretted that he

not have gone to Lusitania, all the hidden truths that were revealed thanks to his

secrets, and Lusitania wouldn t have gone into rebellion as they did at the end of the

the book s plot, but it also gives appeals to the audience s sense of emotion. Thanks to
the character s regrets, the audience in turn feels bad for them and forgives them.
The character could do the worst thing, such as Novinha committing being unfaithful

Strengths Of Nike
STRENGTHS:
Nike+ has much strength that differentiates it from its competition. In example, the
main strength of Nike+ is that it is the first of its kind. Prior to the Nike+, runners
used several devices to calculate their time, heart rate, and calories burned which were
often cumbersome to runners and caused hassle and inaccuracies. In addition, they
did not have the amount of features existent in the Nike+/iPod Nano combination
which allows a runner to listen to music and receive running statistics (calories
burned, time elapsed, distance run, etc.). In addition to Nike+ s features, a runner
may also customize their own workout. Through this functionality, the runner may
sync certain music for different points in their workout to serve as motivation.
Additionally, the consumer may also plug their results into iTunesand share specific
songs with friends and family. Because this product is the first of its kind, it fills an
empty market. In summary, this product is unique, convenient, and technologically
advanced.
Another strength that the product has is its coalition with the iPod. Although the
Nike+ and the iPod are sold separately, a very strong partnership has been developed

Fragility Of Society In Lord Of The Flies Analysis
Is it possible for a group of schoolboys who have been hidden from evil, to quickly
lose order and innocence without rules or adults? The book, Lord of the Flies, by
William Golding is a very important and analytic novel about how even the most
innocent of people have the capacity for evil. It is part of Golding s underlying
theme that everyone has the capacity for evil, even innocent English boys. The boys
represent the fragility of society. This can be shown in the events in which the conch
shell is included throughout the story. There are several protruding events that
clearly show how the conch represents order and society, and how fragile society is.
Thus, Golding uses the conch to symbolize the fragility of society as when they
found it order was established, once they start to ignore it, society starts to
deteriorate, and once it shatters order and society are gone.
After the boys were marooned on the island, each was alone and unaware of the
presence of the other boys. Ralph discovered the conch shell along with his new
companion, Piggy. They identified the conch and blew it to bring forth any boys
surviving the crash. He continued to blow the conch until, The sand...concealed
many figures in its miles of length (Golding 18). As the newly discovered children
gathered together, order was established throughout the tribe due to the
effectiveness of the conch, and the leadership of Ralph. At this point, people
obeyed the conch and followed the rule that allows the holder to speak freely.
Grudgingly, the people listened to the chief to keep themselves alive, because he
was a person of confidence and leadership. However, over time, this motivation
slowly started to decrease and the rules were less obeyed. Therefore, the discovery
of the conch symbolizes the discovery of order on the island. This is shown because
once society starts to fall apart, so does the obedience to the conch.
Over time, the juveniles started to forget about being rescued, and instead only cared
about proving to be the best of them all. Once the boys ignored the conch and the
rules that came with it, things started falling apart and survival skills were
unprioritized. They stopped caring about getting rescued and their immature
Water Transportation in the Jacksonian Era Essay
Water Transportation in the Jacksonian Era Water travel assisted heavily with
transportation of goods and people from the American north east to the west, which
would eventually create a separation from the south.
Before any canals were even built, there was a great demand for better transportation
to and from the west. During this time of exploration, something was necessary in
order for settlement to progress. After the canals were built, people living in to north
grew exceedingly wealthy from the trading benefits of the canals. This wealth would
eventually create economic differences with the southern United States(Drago 178).
During the Jacksonian Era, in America, there were many changes happening, one of

In fact there was such a profit from the Erie Canal in NYC that tolls were repealed
during 1883(Erie). The canal cut traveling rates from Buffalo, New York, and New
York City by more than 90%. This changed the entire economic make up of the U.S.,
as well as gave exploration and travel a helping hand.
Secondly, the C O canal had many different developments in the period following it s
completion. However these developments were not nearly as good. The contractors,
and engineers proved that they could not correctly build the canal, as they did not
finish in the predicted time(Bourne). The C O canal was not a financial success, and
there were no economically enriched areas as there were with the Erie Canal. By the
late 1870s, the canal had passed it s peak of prosperity, and by 1881, it could not be
stopped(Drago 71). However, the social effects were in some cases larger than the
economic effects.
Culture in the C O are was heavily enriched by boatmen and other workers on the
canal route. These boatmen could tell people many things about what was going on
in other parts of the state, assisting with communication of these people. However
there was a downside to these effects, as many minorities were badly hurt by the
construction. The Iroquois Indian Tribe was nearly destroyed by the Erie canal, and

Anesthesia Essay examples
Anesthesia was developed in order to block or prevent pain during medical
procedures. Anesthesia has been the backbone of the medical world for around 100
years now. Early anesthetics were primitive and many patients simply did not trust
anesthetics. Anesthesia is still a risky process even in todays advanced medical
world. Anesthesiais not used to treat or diagnose any specific disease; the sole
purpose is to aid both the patient and surgeon through procedures. However,
anesthesia is used in different ways based on the magnitude of the procedure. There
are three levels of anesthesia which include; local, regional, and general anesthesia.
An anesthesiologist determines which type of anesthesia will be needed. Local

For regional anesthesia, a local anesthetic will be injected into a nerve.[1] The
anesthetic will then affect a series of nerves. The anesthetic blocks pain by
interrupting nerve transmissions, also known as action potentials.[3] Action
potentials occur at a constant rate within the body. Action potentials occur between
nerve cells and all the body to feel pain. A nerve cell has a negative charge at a
resting state due to negatively charged proteins within the cell.[3] Although the inside
of the cell contains positively charged potassium ions as well, overall the charge is
still negative. Along with potassium on the inside of the cell, positively charged
sodium ions are located around the exterior of the cell.[3] When an action potential
occurs, the cell becomes even more negatively charged. In turn, this causes sodium
transport molecules in the membrane of the cell to open.[3] Sodium will then enter
the cell during active transport. The positively charged sodium will cancel out the
negatively charged active potential which will depolarize the cell. This allows
neurotransmitters to transfer from cell to cell.[3] These neurotransmitters are what
allows the body to feel pain. Local anesthetics work by diffusing through nerve fibers.
Once they ve reached the cells, they block the sodium transport molecules in the
cell.[2] Therefore neurotransmitters cannot transfer information from cell to cell and

Industrial and Organizational Psychology
INTRODUCTION Effective Communication is significant for managers in the
organizations so as to perform the basic functions of management, i.e., Planning,
Organizing, Leading and Controlling. Communication helps managers to perform
their jobs and responsibilities. Communication serves as a foundation for planning.
All the essential information must be communicated to the managers who in turn
must communicate the plans so as to implement them. Organizing also requires
effective communication with others about their job task. Similarly leaders as
managers must communicate effectively with their subordinates so as to achieve the
team goals. Controlling is not possible without written and oral communication.
Managers devote a great part of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Any change in plans might be communicated with the employees in advance so that
resistance may not come from them. Communication helps the organization in this
regard by supplying information to the employee. CHARACTERISTICS OF
COMMUNICATIONS: Segmented: Even in small organizations, it is wrong to
assume that all employees will have the same needs, interests and desires when it
comes to business communication. Effective business communication is segmented
to meet the needs of specific audiences. Employees working in an administrative
setting, for instance, will have different needs and different access to information
than employees working in a manufacturing environment. Specific: Generic business
communication doesn t meet the needs of anyone. Effective business communication
is specific. The more specific communication is, the more it meets the needs of its
audience. Accurate: When information is inaccurate it loses its credibility. The
sender of the information also loses credibility. Effective business communication is
accurate in terms of the content conveyed and in terms of simple things that include
grammar, spelling and punctuation. Timely: Employees need to know what is going
on in their organizations and in the external environment that impacts them. Today s
technology driven environment makes it more challenging than ever before for
businesses to communicate with employees in a timely manner,
Ill Match Lovers
Quentin Massys piece titled Ill Matched Lovers (c. 1520 1525) represents the
interaction between two people who have seemingly nothing in common. This
piece was made around 1520 1525 as an illustrated narrative of a favorite northern
European theme. The piece s present location is the National Gallery of Art, and it
s earliest recorded home was the Hotel Provincial Government in Bruges in 1902
for the exhibition of Flemish primitive and ancient art. The piece is in good
condition; oil on a panel, and it can only be seen from one side because it is hanging
on the wall. Outwardly, this is a painting of a lecherous old man groping a young
woman. However, after closer inspection, you ll notice that the young woman seems
to be taking advantage... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Strenuous effort is devoted to humanizing his characters through their expressions.
In the Ill Matched Lovers, Massys introduces irony to the traditional wedding
portraits by using characters rendered less than ideal. The facial expressions alone
contradict traditional portraitures like Ercole de Roberti s portraits of Giovanni II
and Ginevra Bentivoglio, which depict an ideal wedding portrait. Giovanni II and
Ginevra are both seen unemotional in their portraits; masklike features and
impenetrable stares revel little of the sitters personalities. Profile portraits like these
recalled the images of emperors and deities on the ancient Roman coins and medals
that were so highly prized at the time, insulating the message of the couples
unattainable status. Moreover, the profile format, which isolates the sitter from the
observer, was particularly appropriate to Giovanni s position as a strong willed
politician. Contrastingly, Massys interest in dramatic expression and gesture is
apparent in the highly expressive faces of the fool and the old man characters in the
Ill Matched Lovers; they are effectively juxtaposed with the pale and beautiful look of
the young woman. This moral satire is a compliment to the writings of the humanists
and intellectuals of the
White Chicks Poster
The poster used to promote the movie White Chicks , stars the two main
protagonists of the film, the Wayans brothers. Due to the subtle nature of the
creator s design choices, the average viewer may not pick up on the many
intricacies that may very well affect the viewer s perception of the poster. At first
glance, the poster is able to summarily explain the plot of the story to the viewer of
the poster. Clearly shown, the protagonists are black undercover cops who will
undergo a transformation into two white women in the film. The design of the
poster forces one s eyes to view the badges that each of the girls is holding. Most
likely, the designer wanted the premise of the movie to be given away to anyone
viewing the poster. Therefore, making the decision to put the badges in the front of
the poster along with the girls gives a clear main focus of the film. Another key
element of this poster is that the color scheme, design, and font of the poster are all
designed to give off a friendlier and light hearted vibe. As a comedy, this is a rational
choice by the designer to attract the target audience the producers intended to view
the film. The movie targets teenagers to young adults and the... Show more content on

The close up on the brothers makes the characters feel closer, and consequently, feel
more tangible. In doing so, marketing becomes more efficient and the poster more
attractive to the viewer. The movie delivers with that same feeling of tangibility, as
this movie does an effective job at connecting one to the lives of the characters.
Something as minimal as the character s proximity to the screen is able to determine
whether or not someone chooses to watch a film, as for the perspective can influence
whether or not the viewer of the poster will be able to connect with the
Free Trade And Trade Agreements
Free Trade
Free trade is a policy in which the government does not interfere against imports or
impedes with exports by applying tariffs (Encyclopedia, 2015). Free trade is about
removing barriers like tariffs, quotas, and other restrictions. Tariffs are taxes that the
countries enforce on imported goods and services, they are set in place to make
trade harder. This ultimately causes the price of goods and services for consumers to
be more expensive. Quotas are a limited quantity countries put on imports and
exports. Barriers to trade is a government limitation on the amount of international
goods and services. Countries decide to put up barriers on trade for the sole purpose
of protecting their own economy and interests. The United States has free trade
agreements with 20 countries, including the North American Free Trade Agreement
(NAFTA), the Tran Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), and the Transatlantic Trade
and Investment Partnership (T TIP). There are many advantages and disadvantages
with free trade agreements. The North American Free Trade Agreement was
implemented in 1994, it consists of three countries; Canada, Mexico, and the United
States. NAFTA is the largest free zone which sets the groundwork for a stronger
economic development as well as the raise in prosperity between this countries
(NAFTA, 2013). For the three countries in the agreement, NAFTA has removed
tariffs and non tariff barriers such as quotas, licensing and other limitations. Before it

different countries have different cultures. Unlike United States, Asian countries are
more marriage oriented which has been a core focus for eHarmony from start.
Markets such as China and India would be great for the organization to establish
there foothold globally. Keeping the population of the two countries in mind,
company can leverage it to maintain its market leader position. Pros of Alternative 1:

the organization globally. Ability to exchange best practices across locations.
Enhanced Brand Equity from generating product awareness. Cons of Alternative 1: It
would require huge initial investment Research and Development team has to work

Analysis Of Immanuel Kant s Critique Of The Sublime
In Immanuel Kant s Critique of Judgement, Kant analyzes the meaning of the
beautiful and the sublime and how they contrast from each other by employing nature
through his analysis. In book one of Kant s Critique of Judgement titled Analytic of
the Beautiful, he argues that the judgement of beauty is disinterested and that it is
both subjective and universal simultaneously. On the other hand, in the Analytic of
the Sublime, Kant analyzes the sublime as an idea that cannot fully be grasped by the
mind. While the concept of the beautiful and the sublime are considerably different to
Kant, Kant uses nature to describe beauty as something that is concerned with form
and appears to be purposive without purpose , whereas he uses nature to depict that
the sublime is formless and that the sublime unlike the beautiful appears as contra
purposive. Though the two concepts contrasts since the beautiful has form while the
sublime is formless, Kant utilizes nature in both the beautiful and the sublime
effectively because it allows the reader to understand the difference between them by
connecting the physical appearance of nature to the beautiful while connecting the
intangible feeling that nature gives off to the sublime. The judgement of beautiful,
according to Kant, appears to be purposive without purpose . Kant says Hence there
can be purposiveness without a purpose, insofar as we do not posit the causes of
this form in a will, and yet can grasp the explanation of its possibility
Meaning Of Race In The Film Understanding Race
The Meaning Of Race
The film Understanding Race gives many accounts of the meaning of the word race
and what race actually is and what it isn t. According to the film, most scientists
agree that race doesn t exists in the natural world. This conclusion was drawn in
1998, the concept of race was proven to have no scientific validity and is not
scientifically proven. The film suggests that just because the concept of race isn t
proven by science, that doesn t take away from the concept of race having a true
meaning for humans. Although race has a meaning to humans, there is not a distinct
answer to what race means. For example, during an interview in the film a comedian
Margaret Cho, defines race as being what you are but not who you are. ... Show more

Dolores Newton points out during the film that one of the things that has made
humans successful on Earth is that we have always been good at classifying things
and looking at similarities and differences. Maya Angelo suggests during an in film
interview that we use the differences because we don t know any better. She also
suggests that we use the differences between ourselves in hopes that we can make
our own lives better. Although over many centuries humans have tried to divide
humans based on race, it has been proven that the human species cannot be divided
into a small number of groups because nobody has came up with a reasonable list of
racial groups. The film states that preconceptions about the race of people is
something that all humans experience in their lifetime whether they like to admit or
not. Many of the preconceptions that individuals have will cause them to act violently
towards someone of a different race. Racial violence in America and the rest of World
is not uncommon. Throughout the history of the World there have been an
unprecedented amount of people who have suffered often fatal consequences simply

often see them hiding inside the dark and humid place in our home, including the
kitchen, toilet or the gutter. Every time we see them, we would never be nice to
them, killing them as fast as we could, we may ever hope they could become extinct.

  • 1. Macbeth A Tragic Hero Essay Crafting an essay on the theme of "Macbeth as a Tragic Hero" poses a significant challenge for several reasons. First and foremost, the concept of a tragic hero itself is intricate and demands a nuanced understanding of literary conventions. Delving into the depths of Shakespearean tragedy requires a comprehensive grasp of the protagonist's complexities and the elements that contribute to their tragic downfall. Analyzing Macbeth's character involves navigating the intricate web of his ambition, moral dilemmas, and the supernatural influences that shape his destiny. The task becomes more daunting as one attempts to unravel the psychological intricacies behind his actions, questioning the fine line between free will and fate in the context of his tragic journey. Moreover, an effective essay on this topic necessitates a profound exploration of Shakespeare's language and poetic devices. The Bard's eloquence and subtle use of symbolism demand careful consideration, adding an extra layer of difficulty to the writing process. Composing a coherent and insightful analysis requires the ability to seamlessly weave together textual evidence, critical perspectives, and personal insights. Furthermore, tackling the broader context of the play, including its historical and cultural implications, adds another layer of complexity. The interconnected themes of power, ambition, and morality in "Macbeth" demand a thorough examination, making it imperative to situate the tragic hero within the socio-political landscape of Shakespeare's time. In conclusion, crafting an essay on "Macbeth as a Tragic Hero" requires a multifaceted approach, blending literary analysis, historical context, and an understanding of Shakespearean language. Successfully navigating these complexities demands both time and expertise, making it a formidable task for any student or scholar. Chemtrails are created when a jet engine is releasing hot, humid air into the atmosphere that is cold and has low pressure, the result is these white lines that you see come out of the jet. To break it down the jet releases water vapor and when it s coming out of the engine it quickly condenses into water droplets and then turns into ice crystals. The ice crystals are the lines (clouds) that are forming behind the jet engine. Some people believe that they are something chilling. Some people believe in the conspiracy theory that the chemtrails are not condensation that they are chemicals being secretly released into the
  • 3. Legalized Gambling In The United States The prior chapter highlighted how the prohibition of gambling has been an abject failure. The current era with widespread legalized gambling has its problems, but it is certainly an improvement over the restrictive policies of the past. There are many contradictions and ambiguities in this current era with widespread legalized gambling . For instance, numerous TV channels feature high stakes professional poker tournaments, yet only 27 states allow social gambling. In other words, 23 states outlaw gambling among friends even if the host doesn t directly profit or have a house edge. Obviously, there is no danger to the community from a small stakes house poker game among family and friends. Accordingly, most police departments hardly consider ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Otherwise, these kinds of investigations are an obscene waste of resources and potentially dangerous when SWAT teams are involved. Indiana is one of eighteen states where casino gambling is legal, yet social gambling is illegal. The political debate with gambling has now changed dramatically because there are a number of competing gambling interests. The debate has become less a question of the pros and cons of legalization and more about which specific gambling interests stand to win or lose. For this reason, it s unusual when politicians are upfront about their conflicts of interests. One of those rare occasions involved Rep. Pat Rooney Jr. (R FL), a member of the Rooney family which owns the Pittsburgh Steelers and race tracks. Pat Rooney Jr. is also the President of the Palm Beach Kennel Club and he was asked if he favored an expansion of legal gambling in Florida. He recused himself from voting on the proposed legislation and candidly stated, We would not be in favor because it would hurt us, in Palm Beach County. If there s a tweaking or amending to include us, we would be for it. That truly is some refreshing candor in this day in
  • 4. Theme Of Cruelty Towards Children In The Poem The Chimney... In the poem Holy Thursday songs of experience and in the poem The Chimney Sweeper , William Blake makes use of various literary techniques to portray the theme of cruelty towards children. The poem Holy Thursday refers to the wretched condition of children in charity schools. The poem The Chimney Sweeper refers to the poor children who were used as slaves in England. My aim for this essay is to explore how William Blakemade use of various literary techniques to portray the theme of cruelty towards children in the two poems. The title Holy Thursday alludes to joy and purity. Yet this poem highlights the cruelty towards children in charity schools. Blake makes use of this contrast to emphasize on the subject of the poem. Moreover ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Indeed the parents leave their child alone in poor and wrenched conditions to furthermore pray for the well being of their family. This irony portrays the cruelty towards children in the poem. The poet effectively makes use of different metaphors to portray cruelty towards children in the poem. Clothes of death is a metaphor for the chimney sweepers uniform. The boy feels the injustice that he has to sweep chimneys as a child. The noun death might allude to the harsh working conditions that the child has to face. The latter hence might describe his work as a deadly task. This metaphor hence, greatly contribute to the portrayal of children ill treatment in this poem. The metaphor sing the notes of woe describe the child s despair as he begs lamentably the people passing by to offer him a job that he hates. The noun woe moreover highlights the desperate state of mind of the child and furthermore portray the frustration of the child as he is cruelly dominated by his parents. Finally the metaphor make up a heaven of our misery might be a mouthpiece of Blake as he accuses the Charity schools, the other social institutions and the society to treat children as

  • 7. Similarities Between Macbeth And Oedipus In the plays Oedipus the King and Macbeth, the authoritative structures of gods and Kings are the dominant orders in the plays respectively. To be exact, kingship is the dominant order in Macbeth and gods are the dominant order in Oedipus. In both plays, the authors deal with justice and how it is used against the protagonists. Justice ties in with morality, as justice is the treatment of the good and bad. The authors show that morality is lacking in both of the text s dominant orders. Initially, Oedipus and Macbeth acknowledge the authority of the orders. Oedipus consultation of Apollo shows his acknowledgement of authority. In lines 80 to 84, Well I know you are sick to death, all of you, but sick as you are, not one as sick as I... After... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If Oedipus suffers other than exile, it will be undeserved. In lines 884 898, Making my way toward this triple crossroad I began to see a herald, then a brace of colts drawing a wagon... I strike him in anger! and the old man, watching me coming up along his wheels he brings down his prod, two prongs straight at my head! I paid him back with interest! Short work, by god with one blow of the staff in this right hand I knock out of his high seat, roll him out of the wagon, sprawling headlong I killed them all every mother s son! Oedipus, while fleeing from Corinth, encounters a man with his train following afoot. Oedipus then proceeds to kill them all. Oedipus is well aware that who he killed was a man of authority; a man with power. Who he killed happened to be Lauis, his father, and whoever killed Laius deserves exile. Oedipus actions show that he deserves exile, but if he suffers due to the prophecy, it will be undeserved as he has done nothing to make him deserve the prophecy. Macbeth s murders call upon the need for deserved justice. The castle of Macduff I will surprise; Seize upon Fife; give to the edge o the sword His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls That trace him in his line. No boasting like a fool; This deed I ll do before this purpose cool. Macbeth deliberately plans and executes the murder of Macduff s family. Macbeth deserves justice for his actions. He wants to remove Macduff s line out of the face of earth. He deserves punishment for the killing of Macduff s family and for killing Duncan. However, again, the dominant order of kingship does not deal with personal justice, only political justice. Therefore, the dominant order of kingship is lacking in personal justice and is not wide enough in scope to cover personal justice. Macbeth deserves justice for his actions, however there needs to be an addition in the dominant

  • 9. Reflection On Organizational Behavior Organizational behavior is not a single aspect of an organization but a major feature or approach, which plays a vital role in all the aspects of the organization. Comprehending organizational behavior is the most important tool for a successful company. The analysis and study of the various concepts and models of organizational behavior helps in effective understanding of many things. An organizations strength comes from its values, cultures, and people. It offers understanding of what all happen in an organization, the way in which the organizational workforce is acting, and the way satisfaction of the workforce can help in developing the bottom line of the business. Organizational behavior also supports in analysing the way the employees, and the organization can have a more efficient association (McShane and Von Glinow, 2015). The study of organizational behavior has developed sense of understanding in me in respect with the individual behaviours, and their value in personal as well as professional lives. Through the process of learning this course I could visualize so many real life scenarios of the chapters within my various jobs settings in the last 14 years. Weather it was emotions at work setting, decision making abilities, company values, conflict resolution I could look up to each chapter for various ways the issues could be addressed better. Organizational behavior has not only taught the importance of interconnection but also the various aspects of behavior which can impact the working of the individuals. Over the next few pages I would like to discuss my workplace organizational behavior, as well as the situations the wisdom learnt from these chapters could make me a better decision maker. The first experience or learning was, a few years back, there was a sudden change in the management of the Hospital where I used to work in India which not only resulted in workplace issues but also many challenges which made the working tough as the Hospital was trying to get Joint Commission International certification, which enables them to be strategically placed at an advantage for Medical tourism as various hospitals in India were trying to achieve this certification as a status symbol at that time, not

They will then take this to the writers and director of the particular film and they will make amendments to how the survey has come out. Also these films will most likely be in art house cinemas but if one is particularly successful then this could move to multiplex cinemas the troll hunter is one of those films that has crossed the brigde from art house to multiplex and is now being shown in over 20 vue cinemas in the UK, the producer did this by getting the film publicity from channel 4 s sister channel E4 and making a competition for a private screening this made the film sort after which then lead to interest from multiplex cinemas. But for films that won t need that sort of publicity will have a big Hollywood premiere that would most likely have a segment on TV showing the premiere and would include interviews with the cast, director and any other notable person involved with the film. Celebrities from outside of the film will go also to show the films quality and also so that they themselves can get publicity, films like this will almost always be shown in multiplex cinemas this is the same for Cars 2 but will probably have this kind of showing but because it s a childs film the TV shows and so on will most probably be shown on kids TV most obviously the Disney

One of the fallacies of people is that you can only do e business through the Internet. Conversely, that is just a part of this seemingly clear cut novelty. E Business is the complex fusion of business processes, enterprise applications, and organizational structure necessary to create a high performance business model. An e business solution for an enterprise is the incorporation of all aspects of the business operation into an electronic format. Many well established businesses have been selling on line for years. Columbia Records has been selling music directly and indirectly (through their artists website) to end users for years. When Columbia Records has incorporated an e business solution, the business will experience a lower operation cost while at the same time increasing its profit. The e business solution will allow the company to eliminate unnecessary paperwork. All paperwork and data can be transformed into an electronic format. Thus, it will eliminate valuable shelf space and data can be searched and accessed in a matter of seconds. E business will also automate the sales process. Thus, efficiency will be significantly improved. With an e business solution, the business will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. People from anywhere in the world with Internet access will be able to visit the site at any time. They will not be restricted to the normal business operating hours. A brick plus mortar business is normally limited to serving the customers in its local geographical location. Essentially, the business market exposure will be greatly increased. The initial reaction to the Internet from
  • 12. The Jade Peony by Wayson Choy This passage is adapted from Wayson Choy s The Jade Peony and portrays the fear of a young boy who has recently lost his mother. The reader is able to infer the situation from the passage despite it not being clearly mentioned. The reader infers that the passage is about a juvenile boy who sits beside his dying mother and is then taken care of by family friends, predominantly the Chins. The reader is able to assume that the mother of the child has died, by the mention of how my [his] mommy s voice... would never say again. This along with the hullabaloo and a sense of emergency projected in the first paragraph indicate that the mother is no more. The rigid arms suggest that the mother s arms are dead. The cacophony of the word rigid creates a sense of chaos for the readers. The passage is written in first person narrative, providing the reader with meaningful insights from the boy who has lost his mother. The author makes use of varying sentence styles. Simple sentences are used to merely narrate the event Mr. Chin was shouting instructions. Mrs. Chin called my name. These simple sentences help maintain a slow pace of the text, and create a dull tone to commemorate the death. Some sentences like the ones in Lines 3 5 are fragmented, revealing the incident one step at a time. Choy makes use of various symbols and techniques to provide reassurance to the young boy. Anaphora is successfully used in Lines 7 ( Don t be afraid... don t be afraid... ) to reassure the boy

Hormone Replacement Therapy Essay Hormone Replacement Therapy in Transgendering the FTM Transsexual Gender may well be the most defining factor in the spectrum of elements that comprise the human persona. In fact gender is so basic to our identity, most people mistakenly assume that our sense of being male or female is defined with absolute certainty by our anatomical sex. Contrary to popular belief, our sense of gender and anatomical sex are two distinct elements; each developing at different times in different parts of the body. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Overview of Hormone Replacement Therapy for the FTM Transexual Fundamental to sex reassignment treatment of transsexuals is the acquisition of the sex characteristics of the other sex to the fullest extent possible. With the exception of the internal and external genitalia, sex characteristics are contingent of the biological effects of the respective sex steroids. Hormonal reassignment has therefore two aims: 1) to eliminate, in so far as possible, the hormonally induced secondary sex characteristics of the natal sex and 2) to induce those of the new sex. Biologic females treated with testosterone experience the following permanent changes: a deepening of the voice, clitoral enlargement, mild breast atrophy, increased facial and body hair and male pattern baldness. Reversible changes include increased upper body strength, weight gain, increased social and sexual interest and arousability, and decreased hip mass. Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT) Hormones are long range chemical messengers of the body, manufactured and controlled by the endocrine system. The hypothalamus produces gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). This signals the anterior pituitary gland to synthesize and release luteinizing hormone (LH). Steroids And Other Performance Enhancing Drugs Steroids and other performance enhancing drugs have been banned from Major League Baseball since 1991; however, this law was not strictly enforced by the Major League Baseball Players Association (Anabolic Steroids). The MLBPA to date has become much more involved in the issue of PED use in the MLB, and they do test many of the players for traces of steroids. Few players are caught each year, but when a big name pops up, the whole debacle headlines newspapers, constantly talked about on sports networks and becomes a huge deal. That big name player that was caught using steroids is then given an agreed sentence of suspended games, sometimes they are even revoked of their chance to be in the exalted MLB Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The use of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs should be more heavily managed and more severely punished. For years my coaches have told me that baseball is a metaphor for life. This is true in many ways. There are countless activities and goals one can chase after in life, but all of them are based on the person s character. It is critical to make wise decisions, and carry out those decisions well. Making the wrong decisions or poorly executing the right ones will eventually change one s character in a negative manner. Although sports differ from each other in multiple ways, every sport has an end goal that is fundamental to the sport, and toward all activity in that sport. • 41. Fragility Of Society In Lord Of The Flies Analysis Is it possible for a group of schoolboys who have been hidden from evil, to quickly lose order and innocence without rules or adults? The book, Lord of the Flies, by William Golding is a very important and analytic novel about how even the most innocent of people have the capacity for evil. It is part of Golding s underlying theme that everyone has the capacity for evil, even innocent English boys. The boys represent the fragility of society. This can be shown in the events in which the conch shell is included throughout the story. There are several protruding events that clearly show how the conch represents order and society, and how fragile society is. Thus, Golding uses the conch to symbolize the fragility of society as when they found it order was established, once they start to ignore it, society starts to deteriorate, and once it shatters order and society are gone. After the boys were marooned on the island, each was alone and unaware of the presence of the other boys. Ralph discovered the conch shell along with his new companion, Piggy. They identified the conch and blew it to bring forth any boys surviving the crash. He continued to blow the conch until, The sand...concealed many figures in its miles of length (Golding 18). As the newly discovered children gathered together, order was established throughout the tribe due to the effectiveness of the conch, and the leadership of Ralph. At this point, people obeyed the conch and followed the rule that allows the holder to speak freely. Grudgingly, the people listened to the chief to keep themselves alive, because he was a person of confidence and leadership. However, over time, this motivation slowly started to decrease and the rules were less obeyed. Therefore, the discovery of the conch symbolizes the discovery of order on the island. This is shown because once society starts to fall apart, so does the obedience to the conch. Over time, the juveniles started to forget about being rescued, and instead only cared about proving to be the best of them all. Once the boys ignored the conch and the rules that came with it, things started falling apart and survival skills were unprioritized. They stopped caring about getting rescued and their immature

Anesthesiais not used to treat or diagnose any specific disease; the sole purpose is to aid both the patient and surgeon through procedures. An anesthesiologist determines which type of anesthesia will be needed. Local anesthesia... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For regional anesthesia, a local anesthetic will be injected into a nerve.[1] The anesthetic will then affect a series of nerves. The anesthetic blocks pain by interrupting nerve transmissions, also known as action potentials.[3] Action potentials occur at a constant rate within the body. Action potentials occur between nerve cells and all the body to feel pain. A nerve cell has a negative charge at a resting state due to negatively charged proteins within the cell.[3] Although the inside of the cell contains positively charged potassium ions as well, overall the charge is still negative. Along with potassium on the inside of the cell, positively charged sodium ions are located around the exterior of the cell.[3] When an action potential occurs, the cell becomes even more negatively charged. In turn, this causes sodium transport molecules in the membrane of the cell to open.[3] Sodium will then enter the cell during active transport. The positively charged sodium will cancel out the negatively charged active potential which will depolarize the cell. This allows neurotransmitters to transfer from cell to cell.[3] These neurotransmitters are what allows the body to feel pain. Local anesthetics work by diffusing through nerve fibers. Once they ve reached the cells, they block the sodium transport molecules in the cell.[2] Therefore neurotransmitters cannot transfer information from cell to cell and the feeling of

Effective business communication is segmented to meet the needs of specific audiences. Employees working in an administrative setting, for instance, will have different needs and different access to information than employees working in a manufacturing environment. The sender of the information also loses credibility. Effective business communication is accurate in terms of the content conveyed and in terms of simple things that include grammar, spelling and punctuation. Strenuous effort is devoted to humanizing his characters through their expressions. In the Ill Matched Lovers, Massys introduces irony to the traditional wedding portraits by using characters rendered less than ideal. The facial expressions alone contradict traditional portraitures like Ercole de Roberti s portraits of Giovanni II and Ginevra Bentivoglio, which depict an ideal wedding portrait. Giovanni II and Ginevra are both seen unemotional in their portraits; masklike features and impenetrable stares revel little of the sitters personalities. Profile portraits like these recalled the images of emperors and deities on the ancient Roman coins and medals that were so highly prized at the time, insulating the message of the couples unattainable status. Moreover, the profile format, which isolates the sitter from the observer, was particularly appropriate to Giovanni s position as a strong willed politician. Contrastingly, Massys interest in dramatic expression and gesture is apparent in the highly expressive faces of the fool and the old man characters in the Ill Matched Lovers; they are effectively juxtaposed with the pale and beautiful look of the young woman. This moral satire is a compliment to the writings of the humanists and intellectuals of the

Analysis Of Immanuel Kant s Critique Of The Sublime In Immanuel Kant s Critique of Judgement, Kant analyzes the meaning of the beautiful and the sublime and how they contrast from each other by employing nature through his analysis. In book one of Kant s Critique of Judgement titled Analytic of the Beautiful, he argues that the judgement of beauty is disinterested and that it is both subjective and universal simultaneously. On the other hand, in the Analytic of the Sublime, Kant analyzes the sublime as an idea that cannot fully be grasped by the mind. While the concept of the beautiful and the sublime are considerably different to Kant, Kant uses nature to describe beauty as something that is concerned with form and appears to be purposive without purpose , whereas he uses nature to depict that the sublime is formless and that the sublime unlike the beautiful appears as contra purposive. Though the two concepts contrasts since the beautiful has form while the sublime is formless, Kant utilizes nature in both the beautiful and the sublime effectively because it allows the reader to understand the difference between them by connecting the physical appearance of nature to the beautiful while connecting the intangible feeling that nature gives off to the sublime. The judgement of beautiful, according to Kant, appears to be purposive without purpose . Kant says Hence there can be purposiveness without a purpose, insofar as we do not posit the causes of this form in a will, and yet can grasp the explanation of its possibility
