Iconography refers to the visual symbols and conventions associated with different music genres. In rock music, the conventions include loud, instrumental music and musicians with wild hair and rebellious fashion styles. Pop music iconography features clean vocals with unconventional notes, upbeat tunes with less instrumentation, and artists using revealing clothing or sexualized music videos to sell themselves. Indie music has a hybrid style, with some artists having clear vocals like pop and others being loud like rock. Indie artists appear clean cut like pop but unique like rock, and their performances have a conservative approach focused on the music rather than showmanship.

Cd front and back cover evaluation
Luke created a fake CD cover for a made-up dubstep group called "Fixaz" with an album titled "Cutting Shapes". He designed the cover to match the dubstep genre by including references like writing "wub" all over in bright colors and including pictures of himself making a "dubstep face". While most elements fit the genre well, Luke felt the song titles and credits stood out too much against the black background. Creating the cover in Photoshop was a learning experience, but he would take more care cutting out images and matching fonts if given more time.
As media tv drama task
1) The Hollyoaks episode opens with a "previously" sequence showing arguments between Texas and Will, Myra receiving bad medical scans, and Mercedes arguing.
2) The opening sequences for each character reveal aspects of their personalities through colors, clothing, and background items. For Dodger, it shows him kissing two women, indicating he may be a "ladies man."
3) The episode then focuses on Texas finding Will unconscious at the bottom of stairs after a fall, appearing lifeless with a pool of blood. Texas cries over him distraught while others come to help.
My survey used in my exhibition
I conducted a survey for my art exhibition to gather feedback from visitors. The survey asked visitors about their overall experience viewing the artwork on display and for suggestions on how I could improve future shows. Most respondents said they enjoyed the variety of pieces and found the themes I explored to be thought-provoking.
As media magazine cover + contents analysis.
Luke analyzes the front cover and contents pages of a magazine he created for City College Norwich. He believes the masthead, consistent color scheme, and use of the college logo in the masthead work well. However, the subheads are difficult to read against the photos and the backgrounds of some photos are inconsistent. Luke also struggled with formatting the contents page and finding colors that matched the house style for all photos. Through this process, he learned professional design terms and how to use Photoshop tools to create a magazine layout.

This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. - 2. Sum 41: All Killer No Filler This album artwork for Sum 41 is extremely effective at drawing in the target audience. The album artwork contains faces from all of the band members from Sum 41 and it is apparent that they are pulling ‘funny’ faces, this links in with their songs being very energetic and loud in its own type of genre; pop-punk. This will draw the target audience in as it will show that the band members of Sum 41 are enjoying making the music that they are making and aren't taking things too seriously in which can relate to many of the people in Sum 41s target audience. The font and Sum 41 logo are too easy for people to see.
- 3. Fall Out Boy: Infinity On High The album artwork for Infinity On High tries to reach all audience as well as the usual rock-loving fans as some of the songs in the album vary in their genre. A winged sheep is depicted on the cover of the album in a bedroom with a moon and stars in the background, a very strange set of things showing the audience that the music in this album is much different than what you expect and so is successful at drawing a new audience in but still keeping the old one. When people see something so different they will feel that they want to purchase it as if the album art is so vibrant then so will the music.
- 4. Wiz Khalifa: Rolling Papers This album artwork for Wiz Khalifa reaches its target audience in a very different way. The genre of this album is hip-hop/rap and the stereotypical target audience for this genre is teens. This album is effective in reaching its target audience as it seen as something not expected by a music artist as you can see Wiz Khalifa inhaling some smoke, and the smoke being green means that the it is suggesting that Wiz is smoking marijuana; this theme of green and marijuana relating to many of the songs in Rolling Papers where Wiz raps about rolling and smoking drugs such as this. As this is so outrageous and unexpected in society this attracts many people to the album as many people enjoy seeing even celebrities doing something illegal.
