Different types of bones
 The bones in our body are all different shapes.
 There are three types:
- Longs: arms and legs
- Shorts: spine, hands and feet
- Flats : the skull is made up of flat bones.
The joints
• Our bones are connected at joints.
• There are three types of joints:
- Flexible joint: allow our body to move a lot.
- Semi-flexible joints: let our bones move a little.
- Fixed joints: these joints can’t move.
Muscles
Muscles are soft when relaxed.
Are connected to bones.
They move our bones by contracting and relaxing.
When they contract they gets shorter when they relax they get longer.
Biceps and triceps work together. When one relax the other contract.
We have two types of muscles.
VOLUNTARY
We move them when we want.
Brain sends a signal to the muscle
when we want to move it

INVOLUNTARY
we can't control the movement
They move automatically.
