2. Benefits Of Online Higher Education
The digital era has created a revolutionary structure to higher education using the internet.
Technology has changed the way students can interact with their instructors and classroom
instruction through portals that institutions have created on their specific websites for degree and
non degree seeking students. The benefits of online courses range from different avenues to create
an educational environment that provides more options to classroom instructions. Online higher
educationis an exceptional alternative to traditional classroom learning due to the convenience, peer
interaction, cost, and self pacing aspects of the institution.
As military members travel throughout the world on a moment s notice, the convenience of online
higher education creates a way for a military member to continue their education without pausing
their educational development. According to Starr (2013), Active duty military service members
are increasing as constituents of online higher education environments in America (p. 3). The rise in
numbers is due to the convenience that online education provides for service member who can now
do their job that usually entails traveling, and keep up with their educational goals. According to
McPherson (2015), Internet technology provides the ability to stop, rewind, and play instructional
videos, something that traditional classrooms do not provide (p. 144). With videos and webinars
available to students, the content can always be issued or retrieved

Lesson Reading Assignments The lesson I was granted to teach is Harriet Tubman, the
American abolitionist, was born a slave at some time around bout the 1800s. The students were
required to read this encyclopedia entry and write a small summary, summarizing what they have
learned and they had to deliver their findings in a class demonstration. Lesson 1 what is the
entry about is a question student had to respond in their summaries. Next students had to make
sure they read it by following Mrs. Langley s directions before you read, decide what you will
have to determine by interpreting the questions that was created for you to do. Mrs. Langley s
strategies are for pupils to learn and study vocabulary first before reading. Also, look at the title of

what went well on this on class assignment is that students connect their previous knowledge with
new knowledge these our six grade students so they already recognize the narrative of Harriet

4. Dorothea Lynd Dix Research Paper
From the early years of her youth, Dorothea Lynd Dix endured more than her fair share of
burdens and obstacles. While growing up in Maine throughout the early 1800 s, her journey began
with her impoverished, dysfunctional family. Dorothea s father, Joseph Dix, was an unstable
religious preacher and her mother, Mary Bigelow, suffered from a mental illness and remained
emotionally distant (Staff, History.com 2009). Growing up as the eldest, Dorothea felt a
responsibility to take great care of her siblings and family. Ultimately, her family s shortcomings
and her compassion were what fueled her desire to help the less fortunate and helpless.
With limited schooling and access to job professions as a female, Dorothea still exhibited a passion
for education and learning. As she grew older, she acted upon her passion and became a
schoolteacher for children who needed an education. She even worked to develop and open up
various schools for children and each with an established curriculum (Staff, History.com 2009).
However, after experiencing serious episodes of sickness, she stopped her teaching and began to
write educational textbooks for the youth instead, some of which were published in the late 1820 s
to the 1840 s (Wood, Andrew G.).

Emergency responders face the difficult task of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the citizens

threat of disaster poses an especially large risk due to their massive sizes and therefore, additional
susceptibility to hazards. The Kansas Citygovernment created an Emergency Operations Plan

The large population size and business investments presents a personnel and financial hazard to
the city. Kansas City is a major transportation and economic hub that is responsible for millions
of tons of cargo passing in and out annually worth trillions. The city is in the heart of the
Midwest and is vulnerable to tornadoes and snow storms. Man made disasters are also a constant
hazard due to the sports teams that attract tens of thousands of visitors. The Kansas City
government identifies possible risks and hazards they face by conducting a THIRA. The last
publicly available THIRA was from the year 2012 and was conducted by the Mid America
Regional Council on Homeland Security. The THIRA: lists a total of eight natural and man made
disasters that the city believes is possible, identifies goals and objectives in combating these threats,
and indicates timelines for completing the goals. The eight scenarios listed are: tornado, severe
winter weather, HAZMAT release, IED/armed terrorist attack, cybersecurity, emerging infectious
disease, anthrax, and waterway bridges (KC, p. 1). The commonality shared between the disasters
that the city has identified is that they could potentially affect a large percentage of the population.
Consequently, they will require a joint response effort from multiple agencies and possibly from
multiple jurisdictions as well. The THIRA

It was judged that the polar bears evolved from the brown bears to become comfortable with the
growing artic weather. One of the main causes of evolution within a species is the evolving to
survive a new environment. And this is just what the polar bears did. So even though they are now
completely different, they are linked together by the same family history (Harmon, Katherine).
Another example of evolution would involve natural selection. Natural selection is a chief
mechanism hidden (under) evolution, and it acts as a phenotypic honor/difference in populations; it
kills off those species unfit to survive and if a gene is viewed as a hider, it is either changed or
eventually evolved away. But there are those genes that are indifferent to the organism, it neither
helps it nor hurts it. This is just like men s nipples. In a male s body, the nipples are of no
importance, unlike in females who need them for sexual reproduction. But women and men are
both the same species: humans. But we can see a major (many different kinds of people or things)
within them: sexual organs, muscle tones, height, hormones, etc. So through the process of
evolution that humans came to be, there is a grand of life between males and females. But yet, we
are so alike in our brains, body functions, organs, limbs, etc. (Scientific American). All living
systems need energy; organisms confine this energy for the in biological

8. How Did Religion Affect The Renaissance

church. During this period heretics were burned and their lands were ruined. The turks
conquered the Eastern Empire and its capital in Constantinople. The church in St. Sophia was
made Muslim and the cross on its dome was replaced with the crescent. Changes in form of
worship, doctrine, the church s mission were also made. Lollards were the disciples of Wycliffe.
They helped to spread the word of Wycliffe all over England after his death. They acknowledged
the Bible as the only form of doctrine and denounced the popes and their clergy. As the followers

Where does one see the most real physical you? The best example I could find is a mirror, and your
reflection.
The reflection in a mirror changes the instant life does, it blinks so fast that you can t catch it, it
stares only when you look at it, and turns its back on you the moment you do. The mirror only
holds life when someone stands before it, without oneself it serves no purpose, its one and only
purpose was to tell you, through reflection, what you look like. Without having the little lies or
falsehoods that those nearest you tend to tell you about the way you look.
These falsehoods are often caught, and brought to reality by painters and other reflective surfaces.

When we look at ourselves in the mirror we must be critical, we must look at ourselves as if it is
not we who is looking back, because we lie to ourselves as well, and sometimes the truth, although
unpleasant might be the only thing to set us back on the right path.
[A] sort of dehiscence opens my body in two, and because between my body looked at and my
body looking, my body touched and my body touching, there is overlapping or encroachment, so
that we may say that the things pass into us as well as we into the things. (Merleau Ponty 1964

It is therefore when we look at ourselves without preconceived notions, or small, little
euphemisms, that we learn the most about who we really are. The mirror can reveal so much of
our lives, it can tell you everything that you allow yourself to listen to, it can tell you about the
reason there is sadness or fear in your eyes, or why your skin is rough and full of calluses. Our

Since the early 1400s BCE, people of this era have played one of the earliest known forms of a

evidence, Tlachtli (which translates in English to ball game ) is thought to have been played by the
civilizations of Mesoamericaincluding the Aztec, Maya, Olmec, and Toltec. The game was more

Seeing as this is the only place the rubber tree grows, it would be no surprise if this is where the
sport was born. For the Mesoamerican cultures of this area, rubber was an important material
valued as sacred and ceremonial. A unique substance that is neither solid nor liquid, rubber played
an important role in the everyday lives of Mesoamerican people. The most creative use of rubber
was not for agriculture, construction, or warfare, but a deadly ceremonial sport.
Murals found at a dig site in Teotihuacan suggests that at one point, this sport was played with
wooden sticks, but the most common played method of the game used no extra equipment;
players kept the ball in play using their hips. While the game play varied from city to city, the
game rules of play were basically the same throughout Mesoamerica of that era. The game was
played in large stone courts and informally on fields in major Mesoamerican cities. Proof shows
that Aztec games were eventually played with stone hoops where players could score points by
hitting the hoop with the ball or win the game outright by getting the ball through the hoop.
Tlachtli was a serious matter to the players and to the cultures of Mesoamerica. The game was
intense and serious and sometimes fatal injuries were inflicted by the solid, heavy nine pound ball.
Back when Spain controlled the area, Spanish chronicler Diego DurГЎn explained that some
bruises caused by the ball were so bad that

12. Guns Are The Best Way Of Protecting Oneself
In my opinion, guns are the best way of protecting oneself. A woman walking through campus
might have pepper spray at the most to defend herself. When it comes to gun vs pepper spray,
the gun will win. The possibility of a victim having pepper spray or mace is threatening to a
rapist, but a gun is even more so. Pepper spray is almost silent when used and if there are
multiple attackers, the spray may only stop, or slow down, one of them. A gun, on the other
hand is loud and lets anyone near it know its been shot off. A gunshot on a college campus is not
going to go unnoticed; someone is bound to hear and come to check out what s going on and
hopefully be able to help the victim. Guns are the best means of self defense. A classroom full of
students are sitting ducks to someone with a gun. They know the students and professor are not
armed and they are the perfect target if the shooter wants to kill a lot of people quickly. On
October 1st, 2015, near Roseburg, Oregon, Christopher Harper Mercer, a student enrolled in
Umpqua Community College, shot and killed nine people, then turned the gun on himself and
pulled the trigger. The attack began just before 11 am in an English class. He directed everyone
to the center of the room and opened fire. Had any of the people had their conceal carry license
and a gun on them, they could have used it to save themselves and the other students. Many lives

This is all without looking into a news corporations agenda, political stance and reliability.
It s difficult to say whether citizens are more likely to be influenced more by the news they
receive on either social media or on television. A lot of the younger generations are likely to say
social media is more influential, whilst many of the older generations who aren t as, or at all
active on social media would claim broadcast is their most trusted source of information. In his
book News and Journalism in the UK: Fifth Edition, McNair shows that a report commissioned by
Channel 4 in 2008 noted that TV remains the most popular source of news across the British
public as a whole. By then, 54 percent of the 25 34 age group were using online journalism
regularly, and the trend was clear further fragmentation of the journalism market, further migration
of audiences from print and broadcast to online, with young media user moving furthest and
fastest. (McNair, 2009, P.142). In earlier editions of his book, another survey was conducted and
people still listed television as their most trusted source. This correlates with my point earlier,

19. Biological Approach To Psychology Essay
1.0 INTRODUCTION
A lot has been said about behavioural and biological approaches in psychology i.e. the assumptions
of both approaches and how they influence disorders such as depression.
The behavioural theory states that personality is as a result of the interaction between an individual
and the environment (i.e. the society and the individual). It is focus on observable and measurable
behaviour rather than mental or emotional behaviours and different theories focus on one type of
behaviour over the other. On the contrary, the biological approach seeks to explain behaviour as a
result of interactions within the body. It is based on assumptions such as how the brain psychology
can influence behaviour and also how behaviour can be inherited ... Show more content on

These are neurotransmitter dysfunction and inherited genes.
In neurotransmitter dysfunction, the biological approach to depression explains low levels of the
neurotransmitter serotonin. This has been linked with many forms of dysfunctional behaviour such
as anxiety, excessive anger, poor social functioning and other mood disorders.
Serotonin is understood to have a variety of roles and affects brain functioning; even though it is
not known if depression is caused by serotonin levels, or whether depression causes low serotonin,
or if there is another factor causing them both.
In regards to genes, depression could be explained in terms of genetic predispositions. Research in
the area of twin and adoption studies has shown that there is a genetic link to depression. As a
result it is being advocated some individuals may have genes that predispose them to depression
and other mood disorders.

Mexico can be described as a country de democratizing; it is still officially a democratic unity, but
citizens are skeptical about completely trusting their government. The political system has an
effective organizational basis, meaning the checks and balances concept also applies to their
government and citizens are able to vote for favorable political candidates, however, often ... Show

The arrangement of cities is important to facilitate political control.
In regards to the influence of politics towards a state, Rustow discusses the process to which
democracy is developed. National unity is key, and is the foundation of the process (Rustow 1970:
350); Lacking national unity would mean that democracy would not be able to flourish, or even
begin developing. By national unity, Rustow means that as a whole, a majority of citizens in a
country not yet in a democracy, must agree on identification of their political status (Rustow 351).
This would allow the transition to democracy to be more smoothly, and have minimal conflict since
the majority of citizens would agree on their political identification for their country.
Secondly, however, conflict is necessary, according to Rustow (Rustow 352). Conflict would
eventually lead the opponents to end up with democracy, but Rustow still recognizes the possible
failure of reaching democracy through conflict (Rustow 355). Conflict will force the parties
involved to think of ways to secede from such turmoil, thus democracy could be a possible
outcome. But, the possibility still exists that both parties will not reach a solution or that one party
may win and lead the way towards a non democratic political system (Rustow 354).

The Brain Regions and How It Works: The brain made up of highly specialized cells called
neurons, which conduct messages to other neurons of the body. Moreover, whatsoever we do based
on how our neurons communicate with each other. These neurons produce chemical signals
(known as neurotransmitters) and electrical impulses that carry messages across diverse parts of
the brainand within the brain and other parts of the body by crossing synapses and binding to
receptors on the dendrites of the receiving neuron. When the process does not work well, or the
electrical signals do not function properly, they cause symptoms of mental health problems. The

Neurons of the PFC translate diversity of information necessary for the attainment of future goals
such as encoding delay and response to both human imaging and rodent electrophysiological

excitatory actions of stress related glucocorticoids on PFC neurons, stress does not only suppresses
responses and change the overall gain of medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) neuronal signaling, but
results in a fundamental shift in the manner in which the PFC represents information on stress.
Studies on rats prove that stress impairs prefrontal cortex dependent processes that support goal

23. Examples Of Stewardship In North America
What does it mean to be Stewards of this earth? This question was asked in class and does a good
job of describing the situation that many Christians today face. It all depends on our definition of
stewardship. I believe that an excellent example of stewardship is the Zuni tribe. They exemplify
what it truly means to take care of the earth. As Christians we need to not only pay attention to
their actions but also seek to emulate them. The Zuni are located in New Mexico where they
have lived for over 3000 years. While they they have not stayed in one place, they have cared for
every place they have lived. The land around which they are located has very little rainfall. This
does not mean that they live in a wasteland devoid of life and in fact it ranks one of the top five
ecological systems in North America (Briefing Document, Of Silt and Ancient Voices).

Industry Information and Overview:
The investment services industry is one of the fastest paced and rapidly evolving sectors of the
economy. The industry is highly dependent on the state of the economy and is highly cyclical. In
2000 when established firms in the industry began to tap the potential of the Internet, trading
volumes crashed in what is now termed the Dot Com bubble. In 2002 when it seemed that
innovative technology and telecommunications companies would continuously improve business
productivity, the technology and telecom sectors crashed. More recently, just when the industry
thought it figured out how to rig the mortgage market to secure record profits with little to no risk,
the entire mortgage market crashed and created a liquidity crisis and a recession that would be later
described as the Great Recession. Investment services firms have learned time and time again that
they still must contend with an inevitable cycle of boom and bust.

By not investing the possibilities that they may face nonstandard events in the future, they set
themselves and those in their charge up for issues. Supervisors who are able to look ahead at
impending issues will be able to react quicker and have better results. Even worse is the
tendency for reactive supervisors to become over reactive supervisors. Over reaction may come
in many forms but all will share one common trend, they will be detrimental to those they affect.
Close minded supervisors and those that blindly enforce the standard are similar in nature but
differ in reason and drive. Close mindedness is a product of refusing to see another s point of view
where as someone blindly enforcing standards may be doing so with all the best intentions but may
not be aware of the benefits of pushing for a change to the standard. Of all the supervisors for a

What Killed the Union: For The Union Dead Analysis
Much of the human race strives to escape the sands of time as future generations will forge their

if they are, rarely ever are their works uncovered. However, when it happens, it seems as though the

Robert Lowell was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He often implements themes of family, the past,

fewer students would go hungry.
Better nutrition in schools is critical being students will eat food that is better for them. Research

instance was in Wisconsin schools received $2,250 for each low income child in kindergarten
through 3rd grade using the NSLP. These schools are proof that this NSLP is cheaper and they get
extra money for each meal.
Encouraging better nutrition in school is important because fewer kids would go hungry. In
Michigan a child went to pay for his meal and his balance was unpaid so he was denied a lunch.
The minute the principal found out he decided to do a school meal program that had students
pay later or have lunch for free (Student Denied Meal Because of Negative Balance) This child
out of many could not afford a meal and the school did something about it by getting a school
meal program so no child will go without food again. The (USDA) U.S. Department of
Agriculture is an act that gives money to pay for low income students lunch. Studies show forty
present of families are considered low income in the districts (Bass and Free Lunch Programs).
This meaning forty percent of families cannot afford a meal for their children and a school meal

A common theme found in both, Campbell McGrath s Shannon and Apuleius The Golden Ass, is
facing the consequences for venturing into the unknown. George Shannon and Lucius come face to
face with unique obstacles, for instance George s narrative long struggle to acquire any form of
comestible sustenance or Lucius being faced with the seemingly immoral task to murder a woman
by having sexual intercourse with her when he is in donkey form, that they must overcome. They
used their pride and determination, allowing them to trek onward in their paths. The men s
situations differ in the way that George is traveling into the uncharted area of the United States with
the Corps of Discovery and Lucius has an absurd fetish for the unusual and unknown. Both men
experience pitfalls to each of their own degrees, however, pass with time as the stories go on. The
men of both narratives experience crises, conjure up coping mechanisms to allow them to adapt
briefly with their situations, and experience success and failures with their methods.
George Shannon s venture into the unknown with these more experienced men proves to be quite
the challenge when he separates from the group. These men were more experienced in a way

One explanation of why firms might choose to put into practice conservative accounting practices
lies in efficient contracting theory, for example, conservative accounting can be used as part of a
firms strategy to ease the conflicts that arise among the many claimants of a firm s net assets. This
is because conservative accounting methods place restrictions on the distribution of those net assets
thereby limiting the scope for self serving opportunistic behavior. Conservative accounting can also
help in bringing into line the interests of managers and shareholders through its impact on
accounting earnings measures that are regularly used in management compensation contracts
(Iyengar Zampelli, 2010). The literature on conservatism accounting is very limited. Watts (2003),
has suggested that conservatism is related to debt contracts, while Gjesdal Antle (2001) suggest that
conservatism is the interaction between income measurement and dividend covenants. Even though
conservatism may be most favorable, the result derives from shareholders trading off cash flows in
different periods, not from the need to protect the interests of creditors. Another theory used in

After a cup of bold Italian espresso and in the later hours of Sunday morning, our neighbor came
from across the street and tentatively knocked on our door. Without saying good morning she
launched in, I was upstairs in my son s room, putting away his laundry at about 9:15 when I heard
a crash. I looked out the window and noticed something going in your kitchen. I was worried. Is
everyone all right? Still foggy, I invited her in and began to recount the previous day s chaotic
series of events. The incident took place in our Townhome on the evening of Saturday, September
12. I was settled on the couch, feeling overwhelmed with the immensity of the homework that I
needed to complete. As my head swam with chemical compounds,... Show more content on

I could hear the slamming as the cupboards bounced shut and I could feel the fridge rattle as it
shook from its hinges. Indecisive about what to eat, my sister suggested that they make some tea. I
heard her friends ask her what kind of tea we had. They were having a conversation about the
various teas they had tried and the benefits of agave versus honey. Fatigued girls started to get
balmy and began to move more rapidly about the kitchen, dancing and flinging their arms around.
Without warning, I heard the sound of something shattering and looked up to see my sister with a
sheepish grin on her face. Her friends startled for a moment and froze with blank expressions. And
then realizing the damage that had been done, they scurried out of the kitchen. My sister had hurled
her arm in the direction of the coffee maker, setting it off balance. She managed to catch the
coffee maker, but not the sugar jar. The sugar jar met the old oak floor with immense force and a
thunderous crack. The beloved china sugar jar that belonged to my mother lay in pieces all over
the floor. Hearing the sound, my mother yelled from upstairs, What did you break? Fearing my
mother s wrath, my sister frantically began to pick up the larger pieces in order to throw them out
but failed to remember to put shoes on to protect her feet. Scrambling, flustered, my sister s foot
came down hard on a fragment of the jar. Realizing what had happened, she hobbled silently to the
bathroom leaving a

42. Wilfred Owen s Anthem for Doomed Youth Analysis Essay
Wilfred Owen s Anthem for a Doomed Youth is exactly that, an anthem ( a solemn song) to
commemorate the innocent youth, whose lives were taken to soon by war. By using the word
anthem, he calls to mind the glory and honor of a national anthem, however; he goes on to explain
that there is no honor or glory in death, pairing the words doomed and youth together creates so
much sorrow as well, it provides a woeful impression as it foretells of young people having no
hope. Written in sonnetform, it is an elegy for the dead. The octave deals with auditory images of
war and death and the sestet deals with more visual images. Wilfred Owen masterfully uses both
imagery and figurative language to convey his lament for these young people who died.... Show

Owen gives the sonnet a powerful, negative connotation from the very beginning. He implies with
this phrase a dehumanization of the soldiers as well as the fact that war causes human beings to
treat each other as less than human. In line three, the reader can hear the sound imagery of the
stuttering rifles rapid rattle . The word anger in line 2 also emphasizes the destructive hatred of
war. Choirs of wailing shells is a powerful metaphor in line 7 contrasting the world of war and the
world of God.
For the rest of the poem various religious images abound. For example, the word candles would
call to mind the church candles, but they also mean the candles lit in rooms where coffins lie.
Holy glimmers of goodbyes (line 9) combines religious imagery with the idea of death. In the
pallor half rhyme of line 11, these two words combine in one line to show the seriousness of the
situation. Young people are dying in war, and it is tragic. The flowers of line 11 are also a
double edged sword. Flowers are given on very happy, momentous occasions, but they are also in
abundance at solemn occasions like funerals. Furthermore, Owen compares the events of war to
traditional burial rituals and describes how those who die in war do not receive proper funerals. In
the first stanza, Owen references the monstrous anger of guns to passing bells and rifles rapid rattle
to hasty orisons . Usually

43. Adaptations Are Much More Than A Mere Visual Illustration
Contrary to the general public s belief, adaptations are much more than a mere visual illustration
of a novel. When adapting a literary work, the screenwriter s integrity towards the author is
highly crucial to prevent a disagreement, which could lead to a copyright infringement. This will
also ensure the audience s approval because the screenplay s plot is less likely to deviate from the
author s fundamental storyline in the original work. Furthermore, adapting a literary work into a
screenplay consist of a very rigorous filtering process that is often challenging for the screenwriter.
The screenwriter often faces dilemmas in which the decisions to omit or heighten certain aspects
could either ensure the movie s success or its failure.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the beginning of the movie, although it is clear that Gordie is far more reliable than his
friends, it is made apparent that he has quite a significant amount of personal growth to acquire.
In the start of the movie, Gordie Lachance is a timid twelve year old aspiring writer struggling
with psychological abuse from his father, low self esteem and emotional abuse by Ace the town
bully. Furthermore, due to the recent tragic death of his elder brother, Gordie is unable to
mourn this loss and overcome his personal regrets, such as his lack of desire to follow in his
brother s footsteps. Thus, he remains pessimistic about his aspirations, and substantially allows
his own dreams of becoming a writer to fester. However, the trials that he faces throughout the
journey, after taking the decision to ignore his father s authority, allows him to overcome the
harsh pessimistic views that he has of himself. Towards the end of the movie, there is a
noticeable growth that can be seen in Gordie s personality. Gordie finally realizes that solely he
can control his own destiny and as he begins to process his newly gained optimism, he is able to
gain courage and maturity, which conveys a clear sense of progress in the protagonist s personal
journey. Thus, allowing him to stand up to Ace and his gang, disregard his oppressive father s
judgments, encourage his friends to make better life decisions, which consequently

After a surge of growth in the early 1990s, the company ran into difficulties. The magnitude of
Enron s losses was hidden from stockholders. The company folded after a failed merger deal with
Dynegy Inc. in 2001 brought to light massive financial finagling. The company had ranked number
seven on the Fortune 500, and its failure was the biggest bankruptcy in American history.
The reasons for the downfall of Enron Corporation in terms of audit failure are that the outside
audits for Enron Corporation have received much attention. And while the external audits for the
company do not prevent the corporations from making any mistakes and let the company
bankruptcy or problems that Enron Corporation audits may have contributed to both its rapid rise
and fall of its stock price. So this has cause Enron Corporation into bankruptcy and downfall. Next,

The main cause of the incident was the late transfer of the MIC from the Tank 610 which was use
to produce pesticide to the SEVIN unit when they realized that water had entered the storage tank.
During the time range from 12.15 am to 12.30am on 3rd December 1984, the investigation team
had concluded that there was a transfer of MIC from Tank 610 although the data in the logs had
been falsified. The team got an attempt to remove water from the Tank 610 when they knew that
the safety valves of the system lifted and the pressure in the storage tank was high enough to
release the MIC water mixture compound. The transfer seemed to be impracticable as the remove
of the one ton of the material was not enough to relief the pressure in the tank. The only thing that
the workers could do was to remove the water that found in the tank. Anyway, the transfer of the
MIC compound was too late because the pressure of the Tank 610 was too high to get control.
Perhaps, this poor incident happened due to the technological, organization and human errors. The
safety and maintenance procedures for the manufacturing plants had been ignored for months due
to the financial problem faced by the company. Firstly, the MIC compound stored in the Tank 610
had overloaded. In reality, the content of MIC in the tank cannot be more than 50%. But for this
case, the MIC stored in this tank was more than recommend capacity,

46. Confirmation In The 1910 Encyclical Quam Singulari Of...
Confirmation is a sacrament that has become an enigma wrapped in a riddle that ends with an
open ended question for teens all over the world. It has become an increasingly tough Sacrament
to define and explain to those coming to the sacrament of choice. This book was chosen by most
of us, not because of the size but because we have all been called upon to talk to confirmation
classes and talking more intelligently and genuinely is what this generation is striving to receive.
Since there is so much confusion over this sacrament it is imperative we try to live up to the
exhortation in paragraph 59 of Sacrosanctum Concilium. It is therefore of the highest importance
that the faithful should easily understand the sacramental signs (SC 59). Timothy Gabrielli s book
is meant to give the thinking and theology behind how this sacrament has been shaped by the
twentieth century culture. This book is meant to stir up conversation and understanding of the need
for more priority from the church and its leaders in the celebration of this sacrament. The main idea
running through this book is the 1910 encyclical Quam Singulari of Pius X as the stick of dynamite
that blew up the sacrament order. It appears to me it was the light that illuminated the need for a
change in the timing of first communion. The unforeseen consequence was the upheaval and
confusion around Confirmation since it was not mentioned in the encyclical. The first chapter starts
with the quote from the encyclical and

47. Linda Loman Death Of A Salesman
Linda Loman is the wife of Willy Loman. From the start of the play you see that shes not very
happy with much in her life, but is very sympathetic towards her husband. She doesn t play an
intricate part, she simply plays the role of what Willy made her to be, a helpless wife and mother.
Linda seems to be the only one thats not living in some sort of delusion throughtout the play, but
she does feed into Willys fantasies. She often tells him that he does provide a wonderful life for
her and the rest of their family, she continues to boost the idea of him eventually moving up in the
Wagner Company, all of which is false. One of her biggest faults is that she does not have Willy s
eye for success. When Willy has the chance to go make something
