Education Act 1996 Case Study
1.1.8 The Education Act 1996 Education Act 1996 places a legal duty on the parent or guardian of a
child aged five to sixteen years (known as compulsory school age), to ensure that their children or
child attends and receives full time education, either in a traditional school or any other means that is
appropriate for their age, ability, and aptitude, taking into account any special needs they may have.
The Act makes it a criminal offense for a parent or guardian to take their child out of school without
authorisation from the school, and an offense for parents who are aware that their child is failing to
attend school to not take reasonable action to ensure that the child attends. The offense of failing to
ensure regular attendance at school is punishable by up to three months imprisonment and/or fine up
to one thousand pounds. 1 Where a child is not attending school regularly, the Local Education
Authority (LEA) has the option of taking criminal or civil action against the parent or guardian. It may
then decide to mount a prosecution for breach of s 444 of the 1996 Act, just as it can for breach of s
443. Before the 1989 Children Act, the LEA was obliged to consider whether it was appropriate to
bring care proceedings based on truancy and failure by the parent or guardian. A review by DHSS
reasoned that care proceedings were inappropriate where the problem was the child s absenteeism.
Where the child s absences were part of the wider family problem and the child

The Religions Of The Middle East
Abrahamic religions, religions that derive from the biblical character Abraham, have three main
religions in the group. The first, and oldest, is Judaism, founded several thousand years ago in the
Middle East; then there is Christianity, the most popular religion in the world, which was founded
shortly after the death of Christ; finally, there is Islam, the second most popular religion in the world,
founded by the prophet Muhammed in the 7th century ACE. Islam has over one billion followers of
the Islamic faith. Although it is one of the most popular religions in the world, many people do not
know much about what Muslims, followers of Islam, believe in. Due to the rising publicity of militant
terrorist groups in the Middle East, Islamophobia has become rampant in many first world countries.
Although the media portrays violent and barbaric acts performed by militant Muslims, a majority of
Muslims do not commit such atrocities and are wrongly persecuted. Only by educating those who do
not know about Islam, can it be assured that Islamophobia will dwindle.
Islam was founded in Saudi Arabia by a prophet named Muhammed. Muhammed is considered to be
the greatest prophet in the Muslim faith, the second greatest prophet in the Muslim faith is considered
to be Jesus Christ himself. The one main, significant difference between Islam and Christianity is that
Muslims do not see Christ as being the Lord, they believe that only Allah, the Arabic name for God, is
the one, true lord.

Hillary Clinton s Influence On American Politics
For the last 12 months America has been experiencing a liberal/progressive revolution. People all over
the country have been uniting behind Bernie Sanders and his cause to end the corruption in
Washington and restore the democratic power to the American people.
When Sanders, a relatively unknown, small state senator of Vermont officially announced on May 26,
2015 that he was running for the presidency, the media coverage was relatively scarce. For years the
Democratic National Committee (DNC) led by the former co chairman for Hillary Clinton s 2008
presidential campaign and mainstream media had assumed Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic
nominee. According to these pundits, Hillary was, due to her experience, recognisability, and vast
amount of donor money, considered to be the ideal candidate for the Democratic Party.
Therefore, as Sanders started surging in the polls prior to the initial state primary elections surpassing
Hillary in New Hampshire and keeping it close in Iowa, the bias of ... Show more content on

Ultimately, he forced his DNC rival, Mrs. Clinton, to adopt some of his own policies, or adjust some
of hers, to appeal to the mentioned demographic. Most recently exemplified by Clinton proposing free
education at any in state public university and college for families with an annual income of less than
125000 dollars, this was seen as a compromise between Sander s completely free alternative and the
one Clinton proposed last year, which would force parents to contribute as much of their own money
as possible to pay for their children s tuition fees; a big step forward for a country with a national
student loan debt of 1 trillion

Billy Abbott And Lou Costello
There may not be a more well known comedy routine in the American consciousness than that of Who
s on First? by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. The routine has been parodied, satirized and imitated by
countless TV shows, movies, and theatre productions, and the joke has become almost a cultural
shorthand for confusing situations.
Because Who s on first? has become such a large part of popular culture, many writers, directors and
producers make allusions to the sketch freely. However, as the producers of one Broadway show
discovered, when allusions become direct reproductions, there may be legal liability for copyright
infringement.
Hand to God Faces Lawsuit
The playwright, producer and promoter of the Broadway play Hand to God were served with a lawsuit
alleging that production infringed on Abbott Costello s copyright to the Who s on First? routine.
The play, which has been nominated for several Tony awards, features a scene where the lead
character, a teenage boy, attempts to impress a girl by performing part of the sketch with a sock
puppet. The girl does not understand the reference, and boy initially tries to claim credit before
eventually admitting that it was a famous routine from the 1950s.
According to the lawsuit, the creators of Hand to God used the dialogue from Who s on First? without
license or permission from the heirs of Abbott Costello, and rejected a request to change the
production after the heirs sent a cease and desist letter. The heirs

Comparative Essay On Spirited Away
Spirited Away is an animation, adventure, and family film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki
and Kirk Wise. Chihiro and her family are moving to the countryside when Chihiro s father makes a
wrong turn to a tunnel that leads to a town filled with all things supernatural. Throughout the movie,
Chihiro has been working in the spirit world so that pay off the debt and turn her parents back into
humans.
During the movie, I have found that I most relate to Chihiro because she goes through the hardships of
helping her family. Brave had been the movie I thought of while watching Spirited Away since the
daughters of both movies are doing what they can to reverse what happened to their families. While
watching the movie it made me think about the

Synapsin Staining Report
Discussion
Based on the results of this experiment, it can be stated that there was no correlation between
serotonin and synapsin staining in both Camponotus floridanus and Pogonomyrmex badius. The
quality of synapsin and serotonin staining varied among all the individuals in the lab, some individuals
would get good quality stains, while others get subpar stains. This would be due to many factors such
as, amount of time spent in blocking solution, fixative, and both primary and secondary antibodies,
dehydrating the brains for too long. The initial hypothesis was that there would be a large trace of
serotonin and synapsin staining in the mushroom bodies and optic lobes of both ant species as both
areas of the brain are critical to their survival, with respect to olfactory sensitivity and visual
processing (Heisenberg 1998; Holldobler 1976). But, the quality and trace of serotonin and synapsin
staining was not significant across almost all of the brain samples. This signifies that samples were
affected by an outside source, thus causing less than desirable staining results.

more accurate results, concerning staining quality. On the contrary, there was a positive correlation
between the amount of time the samples were left in the antibody solutions and staining results. The

Referencing What is referencing? Referencing is acknowledging all of the material (books, articles,
electronic resources collectively known as your sources) that you have used in writing your
assignment. Because this is other people s work / ideas, you need to acknowledge their influence and
ideas within your work. Why bother? or Reasons for referencing Referencing is an academic
requirement. It is unethical (and can be illegal) to pass off the intellectual property of others as your
own. This is called plagiarism. Plagiarism is regarded as a very serious offence (see your programme s

referenced as: Attachment is the special emotional bond that we feel for those who we are very close

thing is that both the author and then the date are included. While the date is always in brackets, the
author may be inside or outside the brackets, but should always be adjacent to the date. If the authors
surname is in the brackets then remember the comma between it and the date. You choose which
(inside or outside brackets), depending on whichever reads better in your assignment. How about
when there are multiple authors? It s not too hard. The exact rules are found in the APA manual in
section 3.95, starting on page 208. For two authors you always include them both. Outside the
brackets you use the word and between the surnames, while inside the brackets you use an ampersand
symbol . From the book: Dew, K., Kirkman, A. (2002). Sociology of health in New Zealand. Victoria,

Concentric Circle Castles
In 1066, there was a new way of construction due to the arrival of the Normans. The Normans brought
the Motte and Bailey Castles and the Concentric Circle Castles to Europe. Castles were used by
royalty to have secure protection from attacks. Castles would be expensive and take a long time to
build, making it only available to the rich and powerful. The first castles that were built during the
arrival of the Normans were the Motte and Bailey Castles, which then progressed into the Concentric
Circle Castles. Motte and Bailey Castles were the first castles brought by the Normans in 1066. They
were wooden and kept on an an artificial mound called a motte (Johnson). The castle would be
surrounded by an enclosed courtyard called a bailey. The whole area would be surrounded by a ditch
and palisade for extra protection (Johnson). The mote would be used as a final fighting destination
when the castle itself had been breached. Many of the Motte and Bailey Castles were built on river
crossings and crossroads because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The people needed stronger, more durable castles so they would be protected. The Concentric Circle
Castles were much superior to the Motte and Bailey Castles. The Motte and Bailey Castles were made
out of wood, which made it effortless to burn down. Concentric Circle Castles were made out of stone,
so it was not as easy to burn it. Concentric Circle Castles could last in rainy weather, which Motte and
Bailey Castles could not. Concentric Circle Castles were a lot taller and bigger, and had more security.
One of the features of the castle was the ability to attack from the inside. This made it easier to handle
attacks. Since methods of attacking castles improved as time went on, this was a major necessity when
building a castle. The Motte and Bailey Castles turned into Concentric Circle Castles, which was

Artificial Intelligence in Gibson s Idoru and Oshii s Ghost in the Shell Introduction If people knew
what scientists are up to, they would not be sleeping as calmly as they do today. If only they knew,
they would read more carefully what the cyberpunk authors have to say. The purpose of this work is
not only to compare the pictures of Artificial Intelligence (hereafter referred to simply as AI) included
in two major works of cyberpunk genre, but also to show the connection between those images and
the reality we all live in or its nearest future. So what is the future of AI depicted in cyberpunk works

A useful addition to it is provided by the author who is considered one of the founders of the genre,
William Gibson. In one of his interviews he stated that it is about the present. It s not really about an
imagined future. It s a way of trying to come to terms with the awe and terror inspired . . . by the
world in which we live (Anonymous collective work). This opinion is in accordance with the opening
quotation from Sterling. Both opinions, too, answer the question of why the examples from this
particular genre were chosen for the sake of comparison shown in this very work. Indeed, there is a
reason for doing this: the resemblance to reality cyberpunk works bear. Obviously, there are other
genre specific features that characterize cyberpunk: like the presence of the Internet (that is often
combined into one entity with virtual reality and takes up different names: Cyberspace, Matrix,
Multiverse, partly because it was invented in cyberpunk literature before it was invented in reality and
named the Internet) or the influence of almighty organizations in the form of international
corporations or mafia like criminal orders of different kinds. These elements, too, appear in the works
described herein, but they are just other elements of a picture already defined. Defining Basic Notions:

Satire On Animals
What comes to mind when you hear the word animal ? Your brain tends to automatically think of
something furry, something with feathers, or maybe even something slimy with scales. That s what
generally comes to mind. However, do you think of a life or a beating heart? Do you think about them
ever fighting for survival? Take a moment to think about the word animal . Animals are not stuffed
toys you find at the toy store. They are delicate living, breathing creatures that were given a life just as
humans were. Their lives shouldn t be taken away because of neglect, entertainment, or designer
merchandise. They have to fight for survival against humans when we should be the ones cherishing
them. Animal Cruelty is a growing problem in today s society. ... Show more content on

Society must research to improve the economy and the products we use in our everyday lives. There
aren t any concerns until something has to suffer. Companies claim they test on animals for the safety
of humans, but valuing one life over another isn t the route to take to create a better product. The main
candidates suffering are monkeys, dogs, rats, and mice. The major problem is that these animals are
suffering a traumatizing experience. These poor animals are enduring hair loss, burns, rashes, and
gashes in their skin and all over their bodies. Some scientists even go as far as injecting metal wires
and rods inside their skulls. However, the researchers justify the experimentation with it s for science .
Of course there are brands out on the market that produce great selling products without testing on
animals. No one deserves that kind of treatment whether it s claimed to prevent harm to humans or
not, it s already been proven that animal testing is not a necessity in order to create and improve a
product. Put yourself in their shoes. You wouldn t want your pet being put in harm s way, traumatized

Managing HR in MNC is different from the way the HR is being managed in the country, According
to Morgan (1986) there are three factors that differentiate between IHRM and domestic HR: First, the
countries of operations such as the country where a subsidiary may be located, the host country where
the subsidiaries are located, and other countries. Second, the different types of employee, in
international environment the HR management have to deal with the host country nationals (HCNs),
expatriates or home country nationals (PCNs) and third country nationals (TCNs), for example if L
Oreal hired an Indonesian employee in their Indonesian subsidiary the employee is a HCNs, and when
manager from L Oreal Headquarter in France came to work in Indonesian subsidiary the manager is a
PCNs, and if L Oreal employs manager neither from Indonesia nor France to work in their Indonesian
subsidiary the manager is TCNs. Third, is the way HR practices (eg. staffing, compensation, training,
and etc) are conducted. Although IHR practices seems to have the same activities as domestic HR, in
IHR the manager will be dealing with different environment and diversity of employees from different
cultural background. Moreover, as mentioned earlier dissimilarities between domestic and

Preventing Drunk Driving Essay example
Approximately one million people are injured in alcohol related traffic crashes every year and young
people, ages 16 to 24 are involved in 28% of those alcohol related driving accidents, although they
make up only 14% of the U.S. population. On any given weekend evening, one in 10 drivers on
America s roads has been drinking and according to the latest statistics, in a family of five the prospect
of you or someone in your family being involved in an alcohol related motor vehicle accident in their
lifetime, is an astounding 200 percent. That s a lot of tragic, meaningless deaths that could actually

In some states, even first time offenders can face extended license suspensions and jail time.
Some states and counties are taking a different type of approach to the problem, including putting
offenders face to face with drunk driver victims and having them listen to their stories of pain and
suffering because of a drunk driver. Other times they will have the drunk driver face the remaining
family of someone who they killed or injured in a drunk driving accident. Some are even taking it to
the street, by having the offender wear or carry a poster that states they are a drunk driver and what
their crime was along city streets and highways. Each punishment is meant to personalize the pain that
drinking and driving can cause others and their families, in the hopes that it might make the offender
stop and think before getting behind the wheel.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Report has shown that raising the drinking age
reduced alcohol related teen traffic accident statistics and brought a 13 percent decrease in fatal traffic
accidents for all ages. Additional studies have shown that denying alcohol to teenagers also causes a
decrease in cigarette smoking and the use of other drugs. It s not a statistic popular with a lot of
people, but nonetheless, it s been proven.Other laws have been passed

Copyright And Licensing Of Art
Copyright and Licensing explained.
No artwork exhibited in an open display is invulnerable; anytime an artwork becomes known, it is
predisposed to relative alterations, falsifications, and reuse by other artists. Countless art movements
are fashioned around the revision of earlier works and representations. As an artist, one must accept
the unavoidable fact that one day there will probably be alterations to their artwork.
Once the great Pablo Picasso argued that: Bad artists copy. Good artists steal . In this essay it will be
explained the rules governing the copyright and licensing. The emphasis of this essay will be also
focusing on what are the steps to follow to grant a license to a third party in order to make it liable to
use my work of art, that in this case will be an image from one of my paintings.
The existence of copyright is indispensable especially aiming on intellectual property rights in art, and
whether it must be used not simply to protect the truth of the artist but moreover to encourage future
creativeness in the art industry. The meaning of copyright is the sole rights to generate copies and to
control literary, musical, or artistic work for a number of years; within Australia and in many other
countries this is 70 years from the artist or producers death or from the day of publication if later.
As an artist, I am the owner of the copyright of my artworks as far as my work is original. This means
that the work must not be copied from another

North And South By Elizabeth Gaskell Essay
North and south is considered as the significant piece of Victorian literature, written by Elizabeth
Gaskell. Elizabeth Gaskell was a novelist and short story writer. Her stories usually have a
contemporary attitude she emphasized more on the women s role, complex and realistic female
characters. North and south is considered as her best known work .It features a strong lead female ,a
mature love story and relevant social and political explanation about industrialization and class
conflict present in mid 19th century in England. Through, North and south, Elizabeth Gaskell
challenges the limiting gender roles of the Victorian era , by giving her heroin , Margaret both the
feminine qualities of virtue and selflessness and Masculine qualities of independence and action .
Gaskell perfectly balances her heroin between feminine and the masculine world as to not to appear
unwomanly and subtly influence the readers and call for changing gender norms. During Victorian era
novelist had to develop ways to avoid posing as threats to the order of the society . Something which
even make the look anti feminist, but still many of female writers of that period are known today for
their early feminist agendas embedded in their works. Elizabeth Gaskell was one of Britain s best
known female writers, She was a conservative women. Although she was not the part of the women

Sexual Orientation Influence
The study of the development of sexual orientation has transformed greatly in the past few decades.
Beliefs such as homosexual attraction being a choice and homosexuality being the result of faulty
psychological development caused by sexual abuse and other troubling childhood experiences have
been labelled as prejudice, incorrect and have been discarded by most scientists. But what does cause
a person to develop one sexual orientation over another? The truth is that the exact causes for the
development of a particular sexual orientation have not been discovered yet. A lot of research has been
conducted to determine the influence of genetics, hormones, development, and social and cultural
influences. These studies have led many to believe that biology and environment play a complex role
in forming a person s sexual preference. This goes along with what has been discussed in class
regarding nature vs. nurture; what determines sexual orientation more than likely lies somewhere on
the spectrum between the two extremes of nature and nurture.
There is strong evidence of the role of genes in the determining of sexual orientation. ... Show more

Fetal hormones may be seen as either the primary influence on sexual orientation or as a co factor
interacting with genes or the environment, according to Simon LeVay. The exact hormones and what

sexual differentiation, namely testosterone and DHT (LeVay, 2011). Support for this comes from the
fact that the brain structures of homosexuals differ from their same sex heterosexual counterparts.

Charles Darwin Natural Selection
From the beginning of Charles Darwin s writing of the Natural Selection; or The Survival of the
Fittest, as edited by Joseph Pendleton, we find that he feels that nothing holds a light to as genius as
the works of natural selection when he verbalized, Can we wonder, then, that nature s productions
should be far truer in character than man s productions; that they should be infinitely better adapted to
the most complex conditions of life..., (Darwin 42). Being more of a verbal expression than a

Ap Psychology Case Studies
The researchers findings certainly appear to be accurate, but the reliability of certain cases studied is
questionable. For example, ten of two hundred fifty eight respondents reported that their phantom was
perceived as being in a fixed position, and while some ideas as to why this may occur were postulated,
a more specific study of this case would be helpful in their confirmation (Giummarra et al., 2010).
Additionally, the researchers first time finding that approximately 4% of amputees experienced the
proximal portion of the phantom only will need to be repeated in order to be validated, and, especially,
any suggestion as to why this may have occurred will require further investigation (Giummarra et al.,
2010). The breadth and depth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The researchers claim that this is not the case, and that their follow up phone calls only served to limit
the effects of these confounding variables (Giummarra et al., 2010), but only further study, which has
taken into account those factors that necessitated the calls in the first place, will show whether this is,
in fact, true. Other attempts to control confounding variables and biases included: submitting adjacent
preexisting pain, coping, mood, depression and amputation surveys and using them to support or
exclude data; and limiting the potential for human error in data perception by use of standardized
statistical analyses and mathematical standards (Giummarra et al., 2010). The accuracy and reliability
of this study, it being so broad, could have been improved in many ways; however, the biggest of these
seems to be that the survey requires more fine tuning of questioning. Trends among smaller
proportions of the population need to be further examined using smaller scale, specialized studies, or
they need to be extrapolated and tested for again among an even larger sample size, in order to see
whether the presented correlations are consistent. This, however, would drastically increase the
expensiveness of the study. The researchers concluded that the phantom limb can be generalized as
presenting with characteristics similar to those which would present in

Friar Lawrence Guilty
Many people read tragedies throughout their lifetime, and they wonder why this awful tragedy has
occurred. Often times, a character causes this unfortunate demise. William Shakespeare s famous play
Romeo and Juliet tells of a tragedy between two lovers, where the two star crossed lovers die in the
end. Readers and analysts have pondered the thought of who did it. Friar Lawrence is an obvious
reason for the unfortunate demise of Romeo and Juliet because he marries the two star crossed lovers,
helps Juliet escape the marriage to Paris, and fails to send Romeo a sign that Juliet faked her death.
Friar Lawrence is guilty because of his affiliation with the wedding between Romeo and Juliet. When
Romeo is banished from Verona, Juliet was being forced to marry Count Paris. Juliet tries to avoid this
and asks Friar for advice. Friar tells ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to the two opposed families, the Montagues and the Capulets. Immediately, however, he tells Romeo,

hasty, then it leads to bad consequences. Friar Lawrence is clearly aware that if he and he alone
marries the two, then their marriage will collapse, yet he decides to marry Romeo and Juliet. This
causes both of them to sink into depression after Romeo gets banished from the city of Verona, his
home town. Without Friar Lawrence, the two would not have married, which would not lead to their

Informative Essay On Thanksgiving
Did you know that Pilgrims and the Indians made the day of Thanksgiving on November 29 1623?
Well, if you did than that s great. I wrote about Thanksgiving because it s the holiday that our family
always cherishes. Sometimes I would watch cooking channels to learn how to cook Thanksgiving
food for my family. It s really what we do every Thanksgiving.
The definition of Thanksgiving is the expression of gratitude, especially to God. It also means an
annual holiday marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey. The holiday
commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621, and is held in the U.S on the
forth Thursday in November. A similar holiday is held in Canada, usually on the second Monday in
October.

The Importance Of Code Switching In Society
The way in which we talk to people is a defining factor in our lives. For example, if we know how to
use the right words around people, such as talking in a professional way for an interview, we know
that we have a better chance of being accepted by the group of people, or community, that we are
interacting with. Life is about connecting with others and the more efficiently we can code switch, the
more success we can have whether it be in a romantic relationship, interacting with friends, or even
talking to parents. Code switching is about the art of changing language to conform to social
situations. Changing language is not just about changing the verbal dialogue in a situation. It is also
about facial expressions and nonverbal cues as well. If someone is a master at code switching,
ultimately someone can prosper in life because they can easily acclimate to the community they are
conversing with. On a more personal level, I frequently code switch between two different
communities: my friends and my parents. With my parents, I talk in a formal and polite type of way
and when I am with friends, I talk more in slang. Both my parents and my friends have unique
characteristics that are part of a diverse community. Throughout my life, I had been a very introverted
person and I did not start making true friendships until I was in high school. It was intriguing to notice
that the characteristics between members of my friend group were virtually the same unlike those of

Rhetorical In The Death Of The Moth By Virginia Woolf
It is often said that death is an inescapable inevitability in life. In Virginia Woolf s narration The Death
of the Moth, the struggle between life and death is depicted exactly as such a battle that is not, in the
end, ever won. Woolf utilizes rhetorical devices such as tone, fragmentation within the narration, and
metaphors to convey this message and invoke the feeling of pity in her reader. As the tone shifts
throughout the piece, Woolf s metaphors and stylistic choices strengthen and drive home the idea that
death is the one fight that can t be won.
A desperate and hopeless underlying tone is maintained throughout the piece, and is skillfully
developed in relation to the surface tone of idle indifference and fascination from the speaker. ... Show

The appeal to pathos is strong and maintained throughout the piece as the reader can almost sit in the
speaker s place and visualize the moth s activities for themselves, which works in correspondence
with the tone in creating a feeling of pity. In retrospect, it helps to illustrate the indifference of the
outside world to the individual, as seen through not only the scene depicted from out the window in
the first paragraph, but the speaker s simple and mild curiosity towards the moth. The latter is the
stronger of the two pieces of evidence, as it speaks through the personal connection developed through
the narration. The speaker only ever watches the moth, providing no real intervention or attempt to
save it only once does she ever make even a minuscule attempt to help, which is quickly abandoned as
she recognizes the approach of death and [laid] the pencil down to continue watching. She utilizes the
word looked in the fifth paragraph after doing so, making her curiosity sound passive and mild as if
she no longer cares much whether or not the moth lives or passes on. For the reader, such a choice of
wording only strengthens the feeling of pity maintained towards the moth. The speakers actions,
though, foreshadow the acceptance conveyed in the end to the reader through the moth s death and the
final line o yes, he seemed to say, death is stronger than I am. Within the narration, Woolf utilizes
fragmentation to intensify certain points in the piece. In the beginning, she illustrates the
insignificance but fascination the moth holds in the world through sentences such as one could not
help but watch him, what he could do he did, and he was little or nothing but life. Such fragments set
the tone of the piece and gives meaning to the moth s character. As the piece progresses, the
fragmentation used is more intense and purposely takes away from the pathos

previously published AOAC analytical method, nor the name of the internal standard. Weakness.
Proposed title revision: Utilizing 3 NBA as an internal standard to improve an official AOAC method
to derive a simple and sensitive quantification protocol for trace level detection of patulin in apple
juice products by GC MS.
The Abstract is also presented in a coherent manner. It summarizes the objective and the main results
(LOD, LOQ, R2 values). It also highlights the advantage of the internal standard used as well as going
into detail about the simplified sample preparation and the efficient liquid extraction step, which all
contribute to the method s development.
The Abstract and Introduction are well structured, and both state the objective of the research in
enough detail (Strength). However, the title does not adequately state the same objective, and thus it
needs a revision (Weakness).

Eq 1 shows equations of an usual RNN. Here xt is the current input and ht−1 is the previous RNN
state. U and V are the network parameters associated with xt and ht−1 respectively. φ is a nonlinear
function which we can choose from several alternatives. Some common choices are sigmoid, ReLu,
tanh etc. Two of most important differences between RNN and feed forward neural networks are time
ordered input and network parameter sharing. We can see from figure 3 that input is feeding to the
network in different time steps, not at once like feed forward case. However the parameters the
network learns throughout different time steps are same. At any time step the network process current

Sometimes a memory from long past could be useful for current prediction than a memory from recent
past. Another problem which makes training an RNN problematic is known as vanishing gradient
problem ??. Since network parameters of an RNN are shared over time, at any time step error
derivative not only depends on the current input of network but also on the previous state of the
network. So there is a multiplicative term of error derivatives back to time step 0 to calculate error
derivative of current time. This is a modification of back propagation algorithm and known as back
propagation through time (BPTT) ??. If individual gradients are close to zero this multiplicative term
would become very close to zero and eventually gradients disappear. The opposite can also happen
which is called exploding gradient problem, however this is more obvious and easy to detect.
Vanishing gradient problem is not easy to detect and serves as a silent killer to the network. Several
approaches have been adopted to deal with vanishing gradient problem. Some of them are to careful
initialization of network parameters, early stopping etc. But most effective solution was to modify the
RNN architecture so that it has its own

Napa Valley Wine Essay
In the Napa Valley winemaking is a pivotal part of life. Many people work in the wine industry and
the Napa Valley wouldn t be even close to as thriving as it is without it. When people that don t live
here, think of Napa, they think wine. Yet most people, if at all like me, have no idea how the simple
process of turning grapes into an alcoholic beverage works or where it came from. The concept of
making wine sounds very strange, you let grape juice sit for a long time until it has enough bacteria
decompose it and it becomes alcoholic. Wine dates back to far further than Napa has existed and
arguably has had a massive impact on the history of civilization making appearances in The Bible and
many other places.

Wine was actually one of the first things to be cultivated in America by European settlers and is seen
on the maps of early American colonies dating back to 1585 (Pinney 6). Wine eventually made its way
to California with Catholic Missionaries in the 1780s. Fray Junipero Serra established Catholic
missions all along the coast of California all the way up to what is present day Sonoma (Pinney 238).
The optimal climate in California made wine making a very productive and profitable business and is
still cultivated today throughout the state. Aside from American Prohibition from 1920 to 1933 when
the consumption of alcohol was criminalized, California has produced world class wines throughout
the 20th and 21st centuries (LaMar).
There is no doubt that wine has played a pivotal role in the development of the modern world, all the
way back to when civilization was born in the Fertile Crescent around 6,000 B.C.E.. It remains a
crucial part of daily life in the lives of many all over the world from religious to recreational purposes.

Perspectives of Institutionalized Racism Although the United States government is currently engaged
in stopping foreign civil rights atrocities, it turns a blind eye to violence acted out against African
Americans within its borders (PR N., 2014, para. 4). In South Carolina, the rebel flag hang[s] from the

4). Not only is racial tension portrayed through brutality and violence, but it is also apparent in various
aspects of public education such as unfair character labeling, racial stereotypes, harsh school
punishments, and discrimination from teachers. These inequalities present in what is supposed to be a
color blind society create the notion that America does not love [all] children (Manzama, 2015, p. 11)
and engender distrust in the education system. Moreover, impoverished minorities feel a sense of
resentment as a result of discrimination based on economic racism and injustice. These minorities tend
to rebel when they can no longer bear the weight of their anger and they believe the sentiment favours
change (Chavis, 2015, p. 4). Thus we discover that throughout the history of the United States, racism
has played a factor, ingraining its malicious effects into the moral fiber of American Society.
Historical Perspectives
Several aspects of racial prejudice today, demonstrated in both police brutality and unjust treatment of
minorities, evidence atrocities that can be linked to a national history of violence and resentment
towards one another. To take racism back to when freedom seemed achievable is to travel back to the
Civil Rights Act of 1960s which sparked national controversy not exclusively in the South. The
modern interpretation of this backlash is most accurately portrayed in the movie Selma, in which

Character Analysis Of King Kong
King Kong is exciting screenplay that does a great job at demonstrating what the characters are
feeling. When the writers wanted to illustrate fear, they do so by painting an image terror, and makes it
relatable. By making a scene relatable, it helps with the understanding of the character s motives, and
gives insight to the kind of person that character is. By having a complex villain such as King Kong,
one battles the urge to root for Kong, as well as wanting him to ceased. While writers do an overall
great job with the development of the characters, where they lacks is in love story between Darrow
and Driscoll. By not successfully developing the relationship between Darrow and Driscoll in the
beginning, love between the two feels rushed, which therefore makes it challenging to care about their
relationship. Overall King Kong is a well written screenplay, that shows does a great job at showing
what the characters are feeling throughout.
Where the writers of the screenplay succeed is in illustrating the emotion that the character is feeling
at that moment. If one does not do this successfully, it makes it hard to invest in the characters, and
understand the situation of the scene. An example of this is when Carl and the ship crew approach
Skull Island. As they are approaching the undiscovered island, the writers describe this thick fog that
the characters enter (47). By doing this, the writers demonstrates imagery to describe the dark and
eerie place. As the characters are unable to see through the fog, they start to become afraid, as they
fear of the unknown. An example of this being expressed is when one of the ship crew members
Hayes yells captain, you don t know where the hell you re going (49)! Panic and terror possess the
characters, and the writers do a great of showing it.
The writers do a great job with the development of King Kong and making him a complex character.
At first, King Kong appears to be the stereotypical monster/villain that only kills and destroys, but
later in the story, King Kong shows a different side of him that a character such as himself usually
does not display. A moment where the complexity of King Kong s character is shown is when Ann and
Kong have their first real

Comparing The Lowest Animal And A Time Of Gifts
The Lowest Animal, was written by Mark Twain and it portrays the bad side of man. Twain goes over
the negative characteristics of man in comparison with animals. On the other hand, A Time of Gifts,
by Stephen Gould portrays the good side of man. Gould focuses on the good characteristics of man
and how these good characteristics shine through in times of trial. Both the good and bad sides of man
have importance and each side can be easily argued for. Whether good outweighs the bad or bad
outweighs the good is a controversial debate. In The Lowest Animal, Mark Twain s story declares that
man is not the Top animal, but is in fact the animal of lowest descent. Twain points out how man is

Tale Of Two Cities Mood Essay
In some pieces of literature, the concept of a story transitioning to and fro two different settings
creates a polar atmosphere, and usually highlights the order and chaos between said places. One of the
handful of pieces that use this type of plot include Tale of Two Cities , where the story revolves
around England and Revolution Era France, and sets similar tones and moods for each for each place,
with England being solemn and dark, and France being restless and livid. In Emily Brontë s novel,
Wuthering Heights , not only does it depict two settings, the Wuthering Heights estate and
Thrushcross Grange estate, which both contrast greatly, not only in the tone in which it s described,
but also in the residents that reside in the estates, but it also describes the conflicts between many of

Comparing Colonial Virginia and Colonial New England s...
I believe colonial New England had more of an effect on the American character than Virginia for
several reasons. First they promoted more of the values that have transcended into modern day
America such as religious toleration, their educational ideas and their focus on the importance of
family. And we shouldn t forget the fact that the American Revolution began in New England so in
essence the America we know today would not exist without New England.
First off, colonial New England was more family based, as I believe America is today. When
immigrants landed in New England they brought with them their families, expecting this place to
become their permanent place of residence. Therefore their communities were more tight nit and ...

Second, the New England colonies were founded by many who were seeking religious freedom,
therefore the New England colonies were more open minded regarding religion. For instance, the first
religious toleration act was passed in Maryland in 1649 by the by the assembly of the Province of
Maryland. This act mandated religious toleration. Rhode Island was also seen as a colony of free
thinkers and a place for religious toleration. So there was simply a lot of diversity in New England, the
vast majority were Protestant Christians however there were significant numbers of Roman Catholics
in Maryland and Delaware, as well as a small amount of Jews, most of which lived in Rhode Island.
So therefore it was New England that began acting upon one of this country s founding ideals, the
ideal of freedom of religion.
Our system of education is still based of a lot of colonial New England s system of education. The
first public schools of the new world began in New England with the passing of what is referred to as
the Olde Deluder Satan Act which specified that schools be started and publicly supported when town
populations were large enough. So basically they would build a school if the population of a particular
are became large enough and the demand from the local citizenship was high enough. Whereas those

influential time when mass compositions were produced and many bands sprung to the attention of
North America. From the typical band set up began the emergence of arrangers who became crucial in
leading the band. The way each piece was played had to be worked through before it was ready to
present to the band to begin practicing. Arrangers changed new compositions and old melodies alike
as they pleased, through changing the basic elements like key, instrumentation and form.
Arrangements were usually written in strophic form featuring many repeated sections. The most
popular forms were the 32 bar AABA form or the 12 bar blues. It became popular ... Show more

An arranger from the Big Band Swing era examines every part of a piece, from dynamics to phrasing
to form. Composers brought swing music to life and to the forefront of the jazz scene. The vibrant
sounds enamoured listeners across North America of vocal pieces and instrumentals alike and brought
its musicians to a larger audience. Large ensembles grew in popularity and so the Big Band Swing era
was born. Musicians loved the thick texture and full sound of a large scale band, and it pleased
composers even more so. Big Band Swing was written to be danced to, and the live band helped that
aesthetic visually and audibly. Composers like Ellington had more instruments to compose for and
more players to play independent and contrapuntal melodies. Arrangers began to emerge in each band,
to guide the many members of the band through the composition. The improvisation loving jazz
players moved slightly away from the main melodies until they became difficult to discern. With large
groups of players alternating the track spontaneously it became jarring and individual musicians were
not heard. Arrangers who were skilled in music theory began to notate exactly what each player would

melodic expansion of the pieces which the band followed strictly. The themes of the arrangements
were then easily conveyed. Arrangers have an extensive knowledge of music theory and how to read
and write their own compositions as well as re writing previously released tracks. Arrangers liked to
arrange established pieces and rewrite them for their own band to play, while still retaining a
semblance of the initial recording. However they sometimes designed new arrangements for their own
songs, like Ellington who often recorded his compositions a number of times with a new

  • 2. Education Act 1996 Case Study 1.1.8 The Education Act 1996 Education Act 1996 places a legal duty on the parent or guardian of a child aged five to sixteen years (known as compulsory school age), to ensure that their children or child attends and receives full time education, either in a traditional school or any other means that is appropriate for their age, ability, and aptitude, taking into account any special needs they may have. The Act makes it a criminal offense for a parent or guardian to take their child out of school without authorisation from the school, and an offense for parents who are aware that their child is failing to attend school to not take reasonable action to ensure that the child attends. The offense of failing to ensure regular attendance at school is punishable by up to three months imprisonment and/or fine up to one thousand pounds. 1 Where a child is not attending school regularly, the Local Education Authority (LEA) has the option of taking criminal or civil action against the parent or guardian. It may then decide to mount a prosecution for breach of s 444 of the 1996 Act, just as it can for breach of s 443. Before the 1989 Children Act, the LEA was obliged to consider whether it was appropriate to bring care proceedings based on truancy and failure by the parent or guardian. A review by DHSS reasoned that care proceedings were inappropriate where the problem was the child s absenteeism. Where the child s absences were part of the wider family problem and the child ... • 3. The Religions Of The Middle East Abrahamic religions, religions that derive from the biblical character Abraham, have three main religions in the group. The first, and oldest, is Judaism, founded several thousand years ago in the Middle East; then there is Christianity, the most popular religion in the world, which was founded shortly after the death of Christ; finally, there is Islam, the second most popular religion in the world, founded by the prophet Muhammed in the 7th century ACE. Islam has over one billion followers of the Islamic faith. Although it is one of the most popular religions in the world, many people do not know much about what Muslims, followers of Islam, believe in. Due to the rising publicity of militant terrorist groups in the Middle East, Islamophobia has become rampant in many first world countries. Although the media portrays violent and barbaric acts performed by militant Muslims, a majority of Muslims do not commit such atrocities and are wrongly persecuted. Only by educating those who do not know about Islam, can it be assured that Islamophobia will dwindle. Islam was founded in Saudi Arabia by a prophet named Muhammed. Muhammed is considered to be the greatest prophet in the Muslim faith, the second greatest prophet in the Muslim faith is considered to be Jesus Christ himself. The one main, significant difference between Islam and Christianity is that Muslims do not see Christ as being the Lord, they believe that only Allah, the Arabic name for God, is the one, true lord. ... • 4. Hillary Clinton s Influence On American Politics For the last 12 months America has been experiencing a liberal/progressive revolution. People all over the country have been uniting behind Bernie Sanders and his cause to end the corruption in Washington and restore the democratic power to the American people. When Sanders, a relatively unknown, small state senator of Vermont officially announced on May 26, 2015 that he was running for the presidency, the media coverage was relatively scarce. For years the Democratic National Committee (DNC) led by the former co chairman for Hillary Clinton s 2008 presidential campaign and mainstream media had assumed Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic nominee. According to these pundits, Hillary was, due to her experience, recognisability, and vast amount of donor money, considered to be the ideal candidate for the Democratic Party. Therefore, as Sanders started surging in the polls prior to the initial state primary elections surpassing Hillary in New Hampshire and keeping it close in Iowa, the bias of ... Most recently exemplified by Clinton proposing free education at any in state public university and college for families with an annual income of less than 125000 dollars, this was seen as a compromise between Sander s completely free alternative and the one Clinton proposed last year, which would force parents to contribute as much of their own money as possible to pay for their children s tuition fees; a big step forward for a country with a national student loan debt of 1 trillion ... • 5. Billy Abbott And Lou Costello There may not be a more well known comedy routine in the American consciousness than that of Who s on First? by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. The routine has been parodied, satirized and imitated by countless TV shows, movies, and theatre productions, and the joke has become almost a cultural shorthand for confusing situations. Because Who s on first? has become such a large part of popular culture, many writers, directors and producers make allusions to the sketch freely. However, as the producers of one Broadway show discovered, when allusions become direct reproductions, there may be legal liability for copyright infringement. Hand to God Faces Lawsuit The playwright, producer and promoter of the Broadway play Hand to God were served with a lawsuit alleging that production infringed on Abbott Costello s copyright to the Who s on First? routine. The play, which has been nominated for several Tony awards, features a scene where the lead character, a teenage boy, attempts to impress a girl by performing part of the sketch with a sock puppet. The girl does not understand the reference, and boy initially tries to claim credit before eventually admitting that it was a famous routine from the 1950s. Synapsin Staining Report Discussion Based on the results of this experiment, it can be stated that there was no correlation between serotonin and synapsin staining in both Camponotus floridanus and Pogonomyrmex badius. The quality of synapsin and serotonin staining varied among all the individuals in the lab, some individuals would get good quality stains, while others get subpar stains. This would be due to many factors such as, amount of time spent in blocking solution, fixative, and both primary and secondary antibodies, dehydrating the brains for too long. The initial hypothesis was that there would be a large trace of serotonin and synapsin staining in the mushroom bodies and optic lobes of both ant species as both areas of the brain are critical to their survival, with respect to olfactory sensitivity and visual processing (Heisenberg 1998; Holldobler 1976). This opinion is in accordance with the opening quotation from Sterling. Both opinions, too, answer the question of why the examples from this particular genre were chosen for the sake of comparison shown in this very work. Indeed, there is a reason for doing this: the resemblance to reality cyberpunk works bear. Obviously, there are other genre specific features that characterize cyberpunk: like the presence of the Internet (that is often combined into one entity with virtual reality and takes up different names: Cyberspace, Matrix, Multiverse, partly because it was invented in cyberpunk literature before it was invented in reality and named the Internet) or the influence of almighty organizations in the form of international corporations or mafia like criminal orders of different kinds. • 27. The Importance Of Code Switching In Society The way in which we talk to people is a defining factor in our lives. For example, if we know how to use the right words around people, such as talking in a professional way for an interview, we know that we have a better chance of being accepted by the group of people, or community, that we are interacting with. Life is about connecting with others and the more efficiently we can code switch, the more success we can have whether it be in a romantic relationship, interacting with friends, or even talking to parents. Code switching is about the art of changing language to conform to social situations. Changing language is not just about changing the verbal dialogue in a situation. It is also about facial expressions and nonverbal cues as well. If someone is a master at code switching, ultimately someone can prosper in life because they can easily acclimate to the community they are conversing with. On a more personal level, I frequently code switch between two different communities: my friends and my parents. With my parents, I talk in a formal and polite type of way and when I am with friends, I talk more in slang. Both my parents and my friends have unique characteristics that are part of a diverse community. Throughout my life, I had been a very introverted person and I did not start making true friendships until I was in high school. It was intriguing to notice that the characteristics between members of my friend group were virtually the same unlike those of my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Rhetorical In The Death Of The Moth By Virginia Woolf It is often said that death is an inescapable inevitability in life. In Virginia Woolf s narration The Death of the Moth, the struggle between life and death is depicted exactly as such a battle that is not, in the end, ever won. Woolf utilizes rhetorical devices such as tone, fragmentation within the narration, and metaphors to convey this message and invoke the feeling of pity in her reader. As the tone shifts throughout the piece, Woolf s metaphors and stylistic choices strengthen and drive home the idea that death is the one fight that can t be won. A desperate and hopeless underlying tone is maintained throughout the piece, and is skillfully developed in relation to the surface tone of idle indifference and fascination from the speaker. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The appeal to pathos is strong and maintained throughout the piece as the reader can almost sit in the speaker s place and visualize the moth s activities for themselves, which works in correspondence with the tone in creating a feeling of pity. In retrospect, it helps to illustrate the indifference of the outside world to the individual, as seen through not only the scene depicted from out the window in the first paragraph, but the speaker s simple and mild curiosity towards the moth. The latter is the stronger of the two pieces of evidence, as it speaks through the personal connection developed through the narration. The speaker only ever watches the moth, providing no real intervention or attempt to save it only once does she ever make even a minuscule attempt to help, which is quickly abandoned as she recognizes the approach of death and [laid] the pencil down to continue watching. She utilizes the word looked in the fifth paragraph after doing so, making her curiosity sound passive and mild as if she no longer cares much whether or not the moth lives or passes on. For the reader, such a choice of wording only strengthens the feeling of pity maintained towards the moth. The speakers actions, though, foreshadow the acceptance conveyed in the end to the reader through the moth s death and the final line o yes, he seemed to say, death is stronger than I am. Within the narration, Woolf utilizes fragmentation to intensify certain points in the piece. In the beginning, she illustrates the insignificance but fascination the moth holds in the world through sentences such as one could not help but watch him, what he could do he did, and he was little or nothing but life. Such fragments set the tone of the piece and gives meaning to the moth s character. As the piece progresses, the fragmentation used is more intense and purposely takes away from the pathos ... U and V are the network parameters associated with xt and ht−1 respectively. φ is a nonlinear function which we can choose from several alternatives. Some common choices are sigmoid, ReLu, tanh etc. Two of most important differences between RNN and feed forward neural networks are time ordered input and network parameter sharing. We can see from figure 3 that input is feeding to the network in different time steps, not at once like feed forward case. However the parameters the network learns throughout different time steps are same. At any time step the network process current input along with whatever previously seen and processed data. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sometimes a memory from long past could be useful for current prediction than a memory from recent past. Another problem which makes training an RNN problematic is known as vanishing gradient problem ??. Since network parameters of an RNN are shared over time, at any time step error derivative not only depends on the current input of network but also on the previous state of the network. So there is a multiplicative term of error derivatives back to time step 0 to calculate error derivative of current time. This is a modification of back propagation algorithm and known as back propagation through time (BPTT) ??. If individual gradients are close to zero this multiplicative term would become very close to zero and eventually gradients disappear. The opposite can also happen which is called exploding gradient problem, however this is more obvious and easy to detect. Vanishing gradient problem is not easy to detect and serves as a silent killer to the network. Several approaches have been adopted to deal with vanishing gradient problem. Some of them are to careful initialization of network parameters, early stopping etc. But most effective solution was to modify the RNN architecture so that it has its own ... When the writers wanted to illustrate fear, they do so by painting an image terror, and makes it relatable. By making a scene relatable, it helps with the understanding of the character s motives, and gives insight to the kind of person that character is. By having a complex villain such as King Kong, one battles the urge to root for Kong, as well as wanting him to ceased. While writers do an overall great job with the development of the characters, where they lacks is in love story between Darrow and Driscoll. By not successfully developing the relationship between Darrow and Driscoll in the beginning, love between the two feels rushed, which therefore makes it challenging to care about their relationship. Overall King Kong is a well written screenplay, that shows does a great job at showing what the characters are feeling throughout. Where the writers of the screenplay succeed is in illustrating the emotion that the character is feeling at that moment. If one does not do this successfully, it makes it hard to invest in the characters, and understand the situation of the scene. An example of this is when Carl and the ship crew approach Skull Island. As they are approaching the undiscovered island, the writers describe this thick fog that the characters enter (47). By doing this, the writers demonstrates imagery to describe the dark and eerie place. As the characters are unable to see through the fog, they start to become afraid, as they fear of the unknown. An example of this being expressed is when one of the ship crew members Hayes yells captain, you don t know where the hell you re going (49)! Panic and terror possess the characters, and the writers do a great of showing it. The writers do a great job with the development of King Kong and making him a complex character. At first, King Kong appears to be the stereotypical monster/villain that only kills and destroys, but later in the story, King Kong shows a different side of him that a character such as himself usually does not display. Tale Of Two Cities Mood Essay In some pieces of literature, the concept of a story transitioning to and fro two different settings creates a polar atmosphere, and usually highlights the order and chaos between said places. In Emily Brontë s novel, Wuthering Heights , not only does it depict two settings, the Wuthering Heights estate and Thrushcross Grange estate, which both contrast greatly, not only in the tone in which it s described, but also in the residents that reside in the estates, but it also describes the conflicts between many of the characters within the novel, including Heathcliff, Catherine Linton, Edgar Linton, and many others too. And we shouldn t forget the fact that the American Revolution began in New England so in essence the America we know today would not exist without New England. Rhode Island was also seen as a colony of free thinkers and a place for religious toleration. So there was simply a lot of diversity in New England, the vast majority were Protestant Christians however there were significant numbers of Roman Catholics in Maryland and Delaware, as well as a small amount of Jews, most of which lived in Rhode Island. So therefore it was New England that began acting upon one of this country s founding ideals, the ideal of freedom of religion. Our system of education is still based of a lot of colonial New England s system of education. This was a highly influential time when mass compositions were produced and many bands sprung to the attention of North America. From the typical band set up began the emergence of arrangers who became crucial in leading the band. The way each piece was played had to be worked through before it was ready to present to the band to begin practicing. Arrangers changed new compositions and old melodies alike as they pleased, through changing the basic elements like key, instrumentation and form. Arrangements were usually written in strophic form featuring many repeated sections. The most popular forms were the 32 bar AABA form or the 12 bar blues. It became popular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An arranger from the Big Band Swing era examines every part of a piece, from dynamics to phrasing to form. Composers brought swing music to life and to the forefront of the jazz scene. The vibrant sounds enamoured listeners across North America of vocal pieces and instrumentals alike and brought its musicians to a larger audience. Large ensembles grew in popularity and so the Big Band Swing era was born. Musicians loved the thick texture and full sound of a large scale band, and it pleased composers even more so. Big Band Swing was written to be danced to, and the live band helped that aesthetic visually and audibly. Composers like Ellington had more instruments to compose for and more players to play independent and contrapuntal melodies. Arrangers began to emerge in each band, to guide the many members of the band through the composition. The improvisation loving jazz players moved slightly away from the main melodies until they became difficult to discern. With large groups of players alternating the track spontaneously it became jarring and individual musicians were not heard. Arrangers who were skilled in music theory began to notate exactly what each player would play so the piece would flow better and each voice could be heard. They also chose the form and melodic expansion of the pieces which the band followed strictly. The themes of the arrangements were then easily conveyed. Arrangers have an extensive knowledge of music theory and how to read and write their own compositions as well as re writing previously released tracks.
