Tv Saanvi Research Paper
Saanvi loves challenges and is self driven to complete advance workbooks. Her keen interest in
Mathematics motivated her to learn new skills and concepts by working on advance concepts. She
works consistently on the material given to her by her teachers in school and us at home. Saanvi is a
quiet but an observant child. Her understanding of the ideas mostly revolve around the patterns be it in
her surroundings or her topics in Math, Science or Social Studies. When she was four, she observed
that every day the size of moon is changes and the seasons of the year are different. She used to ask
many question how it happens. She relates her daily actions to her science lessons in school by
making mental connections which in turn pushed us, as parents, to spend more time to plan and
execute her small science experiments using soda bottles, car boards, circuits or magnets. ... Show

She is not only interested in learning new topics, but also grasps the concepts quickly. Since summer,
she was looking forward to learning about the periodic table. She questioned about how atoms join to
make a molecule and researched on the structures of Sodium Chloride and water molecule. Due to her
interest to learn about various elements and questions about Carbon as an element, her elder sister
introduced her to the concepts of organic and inorganic chemistry.
She is equally interested in grasping new skills and puts her best efforts. Saanvi is a good Indian
Classical dancer and has participated in various cultural programs around Hampton Roads
International Children s festival, Taste of India to just name a few.
Saanvi is often willing to put in the extra effort to support her

Iranian Society Is Not A Country Of Fundamentalists And...
Iranian society is more complexed than what its face value portrays. The west tends to attach negative
associations with Iran and the rest of the middle east. The author writes that the purpose of her book is
to show that Iran is not a country of fundamentalists and terrorists, and that characterizations of the
country by the West are inaccurate. Satrapi s narrative does the Iranian society justice. It explains the
common misconceptions of Iran and its society by a first hand account, Marjane Satrapi. In the 1980 s,
politics was everything in Iran, it was the main topic of conversation. As a ten year old girl, the author
is forced to wear a veil to school by those that called for a cultural revolution in Iran. There are many
protests both for and against this cultural revolution. Her French non religious school is abolished and
boys and girls are separated for education. Her mother protests against the changes and her picture
appears in newspapers across Europe (8). Marjane s father explains the history of the Revolution to
her: Reza Shah had been a foot soldier fighting against the King of Persia in order to install a republic.
This had been during a time when Western democratic ideals were being instituted in many countries
around the world. The British had learned of Reza Shah s desire to overthrow the king and, seeing an
opportunity to profit from the country s rich oil fields, the British had supported Reza Shah s plans.
The British made sure he had been

Lindbergh Kidnapping Research Paper
The Kidnapping of the Lindbergh Baby:
Overview: American aviator Charles Lindbergh s infant son Charles Jr. Lindbergh was kidnapped in
March of 1932 from their home in Hopewell, New Jersey. A ransom note was written and eventually
paid by the family. When the family paid the ransom, they were told they would find their infant son
on a boat of the shore of New Jersey, but it was later discovered that this boat did not exist. The body
of their infant son was found a week later a few blocks from their home. Investigators matched the
handwriting of the ransom note to the handwriting of Bruno Richard Hauptmann, who was found
guilty for kidnapping and murder. This was the first case solved by handwriting analysis.

I Will Survive
If you re looking for a science fiction adventure that will not be soon forgotten, a movie that takes a
somewhat realistic how to guide for surviving on an inhospitable planet, or if you just want a movie
that is a blast from liftoff to landing, this movie might just be the best choice. You will not only be
enthralled by the cinematography and special effects, but the acting and the upbeat tone make this
movie truly stellar. Directed by Ridley Scott and based on the book by Andy Weir, the Martian is a
hard science fiction adventure set in the godforsaken Martian landscape. After being injured during a

However, as sure as I Will Survive is the main theme of this movie, he retains this childlike optimism
throughout this movie, making wisecracks and jokes throughout the entire film. The acting and
cinematography, as mentioned before, is also stellar. Although it may seem rather dull to some
viewers, I thought Dariusz Wolski made a rather realistic, albeit bland, Martian landscape. Still, the
landscape shots were impressive to say the least. Also, I enjoyed the performances of the actors.
Primarily, I thought Matt Damon s chipper portrayal of the NASA botanist was amazing. Meanwhile,
the rest of the cast was memorable, including Jessica Chastain s character, Captain Lewis. Finally, and
this is perhaps the most well known fact about The Martian, the science in this movie hits the nail on
the head. The details put into this movie, from the technology used for the missions to how he plans to
escape the red deathtrap, shows a level of care for the science part of science fiction. This movie will
blast off into a captivating and thrilling adventure that will take you out of this

How Did Winthrop s Beliefs Influence The Development Of...
In 1630, John Winthrop formed his ideas for his ideal settlement, City Upon a Hill. He wrote down his
ideas in a document titled A Modell of Christian Charity (Doc 1). In this document, he planned ideas
for a perfect Puritan society. At the start of this settlement, he became the governor of it. These ideas
and values were an important aspect of the political, economic, and social development of the Puritan
society in New England. The most important values were community, religion, and education. These
values that the Puritans upheld in Winthrop s society are responsible for the political, economic, and
social development of the New England colonies from the 1630s to 1660. The town map from the
1600s showed that the town focused on the church ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
New England was known for having more educated people than any other colony, because they valued
religion so much, since the ministers wanted the the knowledge of God to be passed down from

God down would please God.(Doc 4) The Puritans were known for being religiously intolerant; they
only believed in their religion and did not accept any other. This was another social impact of the New
England colonies. Nathaniel Ward believed that if people were religiously tolerant they either doubted
their religion or were insincere about it(Doc 6). Ward believed that religious tolerance could start
conflict throughout New England. He wanted the state and church to be together. Nathaniel Ward s
statement started controversy. Roger Williams completely disagreed with Nathaniel Ward s statement.
Williams believed that religious tolerance was a great thing. (Doc 5) Williams wanted others to see his

backlash from the Puritans. Roger Williams decided to create his own colony called Rhode Island. in

Moving Human Resources into an Employee Empowerment Culture
Situation Moving Human Resources into an Employee Empowerment Culture
Issue Employees are no longer content to work in an environment of adversity and autocracy. Instead,
the decade long tradition of the Human Rights Movement for more than one generation lets
individuals know that empowerment, change, respect, and actualization are powerful tools that will
not only benefit employees, but increase productivity and profits for owners and managers. This has
been the case for Yammer, the San Francisco based company that makes social networking software
for businesses (Hoge, 2012).
Theory Empowerment theory is tied up in Total Quality Management and the new models of Strategic
Human Resource Management. Both TQM and SHRM move from simply the tactical to the strategic,
looking at long term results, development of employees, retention as a strategy, and utilizing the
human element as part of the overall business planning cycle (Wilkinson, 1998).
Results Empowerment theory allows the organization as a whole to participate in the planning and
execution process of the company. It allows non managerial staff members to take ownership, feel part
of a larger whole, and increase their own performance as well as that of their departments and co
workers. Using empowerment theory, absences decrease, job satisfaction increases, and almost all
stakeholders report a more positive working experience and environment (Employee Empowerment,
2011).

Taking a Look at the City of Atlanta
Revenue Trends
With the continued sluggish economy, Atlanta s total revenue projections continue to decline from the
budget dating back to 2010 when the current mayor Kasim Reed took office. The City s property tax
base is the primary component accounting for 40% of the City s general fund revenues. Property tax
revenues have continued to experience declines associated with decreased residential tax bases,
negative reassessments, successful tax appeals and continued weakness in the housing market. The
City has demonstrated a measured response by continuing to budget property tax revenue collection
conservatively. To meet the projections, the collection rate in the proposed budget was set to rise to
98%, up from the previous year s collection rate of 96% (Pendered 2013). Public utility, alcoholic
beverages and other taxes are the second largest revenue source, at 23% resulting from franchise
agreements of the use of the City s right of way in providing public utilities such as
telecommunications, gas and electric and from taxes imposed on businesses operating in the City of
Atlanta. Sales tax revenue is the third largest share of general fund revenues accounting for nearly
20% of revenue anticipations. Sales tax revenue is extremely flexible due to changes in economic
performance associated with disposable income and unemployment levels. Despite still declining
revenues, the budget avoids service cuts and property tax hikes, while adding about a million dollars

Venous Stasis Ulcer
An ulcer is an open lesion of the skin resulting in tissue loss. It is estimated that venous stasis ulcers
affect 500,000 to 600,000 people in the United States every year and it is by far the most common
type of leg ulcer seen (Foot Pain Explained). A person may have an ulcer on one or both legs and each
leg may have multiple ulcerations. These ulcers are found in the inner part of the lower leg and can be
very painful. Venous stasis is a very common disease of the leg. A venous stasis ulcer is a leg wound
that does not heal because the veins of the legs are not pumping blood back to the heart. The blood
pools in the lower leg which causes the leg to swell, the skin to open and form an ulcer. People who

This doesn t mean it s infected. If it is infected, there will be a lot more drainage and the area around
the ulcer will be much redder in color than normal. Venous stasis ulcers need to be cleaned and
debrided to remove all dead tissues and to promote formation of healthy granulation tissue. Some
doctors clean the wound with a mild soap and others use a wound cleaner. There are a few methods
doctors use to debride an ulcer but the most common is where the doctor takes a scalpel and scrapes
away all dead tissue within the ulcer and around the wound. If the ulcer has a lot of yellow fibrous
tissue, the debridement may have to be done under local anesthesia because this can be a very painful
procedure. Dead tissue has to be removed for two reasons; one it harbors bacteria so if the wound is
already infected it helps clear up the infection and if the wound is not yet infected it greatly reduces
the possibility of infection (Foot Pain Explained). Secondly, healthy tissue cannot form where there is
an abundance of dead tissue so healing will be delayed (Foot Pain Explained). Depending on the
wound, the doctor is the one who decides which method of debridement to use. After the cleaning and
debridement, a dressing is applied. There are many types of dressings: moist dressings, hydrogel and
hydrocolloid dressing, alginate dressings, collagen wound dressings, antimicrobial dressings, and
composite dressings.

Pablo Picasso s Influence On Art
Introduction Through the years art has been regarded as a form of communication, emotion, a feeling
or expression of ideas, by which we mean a person or convey something. This idea can be captured in

characteristic form of a culture. By century to century there has been many creative persons like

How does Pablo Picasso s famous art Guernica represents the history and society in his time? Most of
his creations represent history and society of his time. But Guernica, which Picasso painted in
response to tragedy and the loss of life, directly related to the Spanish civil war. Guernica was one of
the masterpieces created by Picasso, probably the 20th century s most negative symbol of the horrors.
It was a also signal for the terrors of the future. When the Nazi troops dropped a bomb on the Basque
village of Guernica in northern Spain, at that time nobody imagined this kind of act in reality. Most

The Arts and Crafts Movement Essay
The Arts and Craft movement was a social and artistic movement, which began in Britain in the
second half of the nineteenth century and continued into the twentieth spreading to continental Europe
and the USA. Its adherents artists, architects, designers and Craftsmen sought to reassert the
importance of and craftsmanship in all arts in the face of increasing industrialization, which they felt
was sacrificing quality in the pursuit of quantity. Its supporters and practioners were united not so
much by a style rather than the common goal a desire to break down the hierarchy of the arts and to
revive traditional handicrafts and make art that could be affordable to all.
The leading exponent and propagandist of the movement was the ... Show more content on

This satisfaction, the proponents of this movement felt, was totally denied in the industrialised
processes inherent in compartmentalised machine production.
In the United States, the Arts and Crafts Movement took on a distinctively more bourgeois flavor.
While the European movement tried to recreate the virtuous world of craft labor that was being
destroyed by industrialization, Americans tried to establish a new source of virtue to replace heroic
craft production: the tasteful middle class home. They thought that the simple but refined aesthetics of
Arts and Crafts decorative arts would ennoble the new experience of industrial consumerism, making
individuals more rational and society more harmonious. In short, the American Arts and Crafts
Movement was the aesthetic counterpart of its contemporary political movement: Progressivism.
Art Nouveau, 1890 1914, explores a new style in the visual arts and architecture that developed in
Europe and North America at the end of the nineteenth century. The exhibition is divided into three
sections: the first focuses on the 1900 World s Fair in Paris, where Art Nouveau was established as the
first new decorative style of the twentieth century; the second examines the sources that influenced the
style; and the third looks at its development and fruition in major cities in Europe and North

Wide Reading Interview with Protagonist
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (fantasy) JK Rowling
Interviewer: Greetings Harry Potter. I am an interviewer for The Daily Prophet and I am intending to
make this interview, the biggest news in the wizarding world! During this session, l would like to ask
you questions about your adventure to defeat Voldemort. When you first started out in Hogwarts, you
knew that you were the one to defeat Voldemort, but seeing the mission that Dumbledore left for you,
what did you think of embarking on that treacherous journey?
Harry Potter: Well, I always knew that Dumbledore had hope and faith that I would succeed in that
journey to defeat Voldemort, but he left me with nothing. He did not leave me with anything, only a
few scraps of advice and he expected me to fulfil his wish! There were horcruxes, which were objects
that protected Voldemort s soul, and to kill him, I would have to destroy them all. Dumbledore did not
tell me where the horcruxes were and I had to cluelessly figure it out for myself. I had Ron and
Hermione though. I knew they would help me, and I knew that I had to destroy Voldemort to set the
wizarding world free from his terror. I had to do it, because nobody else was going to do it.
Interviewer: During your time hiding from Voldemort and his followers, what precautions did you
have to take, what were your struggles and what were your feelings during this time?
Harry Potter: It was a massive struggle I have to say.

Employee Is Harmed At Work
In the event an employee is harmed at work and they meet all the requirements for workers
compensation they can get health advantages and salary for the amount of time they miss work. With a
specific end goal to get these advantages, the representative must lose their entitlement to sue their
manager for the offense of disregard. There are a wide range of arrangements, which fluctuate from
state to state. The workers that fit the bill for pay can get week after week installments as opposed to
being paid by their manager, which would go about as a type of disability insurance. In the event that
a worker needs compensation for monetary misfortune or restorative costs, it would be utilized as
medical coverage. Another structure that falls under workers compensation is life insurance, which
would be utilized if a laborer is killed during their employment.
There are three defenses for an employer by law for worker related injury. These are the fellow servant
doctrine, contributory negligence, and assumption of risk. The fellow servant doctrine is when another
employee causes the worker to be injured and this would make the employer not responsible for the
incident. The contributory negligence is when an employee does not use precautionary measures to be
careful on the job. In this instance the employer would also not be responsible for the injuries the
employee got. The last defense for an employer is the assumption of risk. This would be if the injured
employee willingly

Shakespeare s Sonnet #73 Essay
Shakespeare s Sonnet #73, published in 1609, is written in the Shakespearean or English sonnet style.
It consists of three quatrains and one couplet at the end, written in iambic pentameters. Each quatrain
has its own rhyme scheme, rhyming in alternating lines. The couplet summarizes the preceding twelve
lines. Sonnet 73 appears to contain multiple parallels to death and the person speaking in the poem
gives the impression that he is near death and reflecting back upon life.

Meaning, death will come, without question. He plays upon the sun setting, which in some cultures
was a god dying every evening (and he would be reborn every morning). The sun setting could also be
regarded as the sun going to sleep, which plays on the last line of the quatrain, quot;Death s second
self, which seals upon rest. quot; This line talks of the eternal sleep, or death. This quatrain suggests a
night without the possibility of day, quot;seals upon rest. quot;
In the third quatrain, In me the glowing of such fire/ That on the ashes of his youth doth lie/ As the
deathbed whereon it must expire/ Consuming with that which it was nourished by. He seems to
compare his life to fire, burning bright in youth, when energy and ideas bound forth, but eventually it
all turns to ashes, fragments of the passing youth, essentially death. He also makes implications of
lying upon the ashes, his deathbed, of days gone by, days when he was young and full of energy. The
fire proposes finality, the non cyclical process that night and the seasons are part of, which
Shakespeare has worked towards in the poem.
The final couplet, This thou percev st which makes thy love more strong/ To love that well which thou

Organizational Behavior ( Ob )
Organizational behavior (OB) is the study of how people interact within groups and can be used to
achieve a covenant relationship within organizations similar to the relationship that God has with His
people. Personalities have a significant role in OB and personality tests create value by allowing
organizations to determine ahead of time where potential conflict may arise between employees. The
Jung Typology Test classifies people into one of the sixteen personality types determined by Isabel
Briggs Myers and one of the four temperaments defined by David Keirsey. This discussion examines
the effect of my ISTJ personality type and SJ temperament on myself and those around me on a
personal and professional level. The analysis covers the strengths, weaknesses, and sources of conflict
associated with each individual aspect of the ISTJ personality introverted, sensing, thinking, and
judging as well as assessing the personality type as a whole. Lastly, the discussion concludes with
lessons I have learned regarding the use of OB in workplace improvement efforts, as well as specific
areas where I can use OB to enhance my performance as an employee, co worker, and manager.

Review Of V. C. B. L. T. S. Ramachandran ( B )
For as long as he can remember, V. S. Ramachandran (b. 1951) has been fascinated by any kind of
strange phenomenon in nature. As narrated in chapter 1 (see here), at a very young age he began
collecting seashells from beaches near his home in Madras. In researching the subject, his attention
was drawn to the most peculiar varieties of seashells, such as the carnivorous murex. Soon he added
these unusual specimens to his collection. As he got older, he transferred this interest to abnormal
phenomena in chemistry, astronomy, and human anatomy. Perhaps he intuited that these anomalies
fulfilled some kind of purpose in nature, that what does not fit the pattern has something interesting to
tell us. Perhaps he felt that he himself with his passion for science when other boys were attracted to
sports or games was a bit of an anomaly as well. In any event, as he matured his attraction to the
bizarre and abnormal only grew.
In the 1980s, as a professor of visual psychology at the University of California at San Diego, he came
upon a phenomenon that appealed to his interest in anomalies in the deepest way the so called
phantom limb syndrome. In this case, people who have had a limb amputated continue to experience
sensation and pain where the limb used to be. In his research as a visual psychologist, Ramachandran
had specialized in optical illusions instances in which the brain would incorrectly fill in information
from what the eyes had processed. Phantom limbs represented an

Alexis De Tocqueville New Imperialism
NEW Imperialism, being an important step towards bringing peace for people, can also have
disagreers. Europe has seen many transitions in its history; which means every generation had
different ideas about the type of government they would prefer. While Alexis De Tocqueville and
Rudyard Kipling wanted Europe to imperialize, Edward Morel and Aime Cesaire were against it.
Depending on the time they wrote, some of their reasonings were similar and some were totally new.
NEW Alexis De Tocqueville travelled to Algeria twice in order to understand Arab s situations with
French people. At first, he looked at Algeria as a democratic person, because he also did research on
the democracy of America. He believed that if Algerians will be placed under French administration,
they will never be able to succeed because Arabs do not create new government, but improve the one
they already have. They live in Tribal organizations, which is very hard to break and their way of life
is according to the Koran, which gives them civil and religious laws to be successful. He thought of
both sides by saying that Algerians should have unity, so no foreign power can break in easily, and
both Arabs and French will merge at some point if they will have a same leader. He said, With time,
perseverance, ability, and justice, I have no doubt that we shall be able to raise a great monument to
our country s glory on the African ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Bottled Water In Schools
We appreciate you creating new policies to make sure all classrooms have water, and even letting
students pick their choice of water, whether it s a drinking fountain that uses tap water, a water
dispenser, or individual bottles of water. I am writing to propose that the best form of drinking water is
from drinking fountains that use tap water. I believe this because tap water is more environmentally
responsible, as well as better for your health and safety.
One reason that I believe bottled water is not suitable to give to everyone in the school, is because it
causes a lot of environmental problems. According to The Story of Bottled Water by Annie Leonard,
Each year, making the plastic waste bottles used in the U.S. takes enough oil and ... Show more

In the online article, How does Pollution Affect Humans by The World Counts, Breathing polluted air
puts you at a higher risk for asthma and other respiratory diseases. When exposed to ground ozone for
6 to 7 hours, scientific evidence shows that healthy people s lungs function decreased and they
suffered from respiratory inflammation (The World Counts par. 4 ). THose are just some of the health
problems that pollution causes This information matters to me because it shows that bottled water not
only affects the Earth by causing pollution, but that pollution also causes health problems. Not only
does it affect the Earth by causing pollution, but bottled water can directly affect you. According to the
online article Bottled Water vs. Tap Water: Rethink What You Drink by Priscilla Torres, The EPA
regulates tap water, while the FDA oversees bottled. Yet FDA oversight doesn t apply to water
packaged and sold within the same state, leaving some 60 to 70 percent of bottled water, including the
contents of watercooler jugs, free of FDA regulation (Torres pg. 2 par.5). This matters to me because it
means if every student in the Natomas district drank from bottled water, some of their water might
contain chemicals because it wasn t checked. Chemicals are definitely a threat because Torres
continues to say, Scientists in Germany found that the longer a bottle of water sits around (in a store,
in your home), the more antimony it develops. High concentrations of antimony can cause nausea,
vomiting, and diarrhea (Torres pg. 3 par. 7). This information is important because it shows that just
keeping water bottles for a long period of time can cause many health problems. If every student had
to drink bottled water, they would constantly be getting sick and spreading their sickness to other
students. So, bottled water causes many health problems, through pollution, and because there may be

Analysis Of Internal Conflict, The Dark Battlefield
Internal Conflict, The Dark Battlefield
He hesitation or decision making issue within the characters mind is regarded as a suspense. In Just
Lather, That s All , the barber struggled with whether or not to kill the enemy who now infront of him.
In the end, the barber did not want blood on his hand. Meanwhile, in The sniper, two snipers who were
from different sides fought against each other in a war. While examining the corpse, the sniper
discovered that the enemy was his brother. Also The Black Cat narrates the process of the protagonist
from normal to committing a crime step by step. Internal conflict moves the story s plot, thought the
short stories Just Lather, That s All , The Sniper and The Black Cat respectively.
The border in Just Lather, That s all struggled with person against self which moves the plot. As the
barber thought over: No one deserves to have someone else make the sacrifice of becoming a murder.
What do you gain by it? Nothing. Others came along and still others, and the first ones kill the second
ones and they the next ones and it goes on like this until everything is a sea of blond (Tellez 3). When
faced cruel enemy, he should kill him. However, in the barber s view, murder is not the way to stop
violence and war. It only lets the violence continue, with killing the second, third and so on. This point
is the transition of the plot from thinking about murdering to hesitation. The second thought of the
border is that: I do not want

Analysis Of Mrs Warrens Profession
The play Mrs. Warrens Profession by George Bernard Shaw is about a well educated young woman
named Vivie who lives just outside of London. She was raised in a drastically different manner than
her mother. Vivie in fact did not know her mother very well and even grew up away at prestigious
schools away from her mother s care. Vivie was well educated, has a degree in math, and plans to get
a job in London. The play is centered on the discussion between Vivie and Mrs. Warren about the
morality about Mrs. Warren s profession as a sex worker. Although the play is called Mrs. Warrens
profession, the play is mostly about the ways that Vivie s interactions with her mother change her. The
play opens with Vivie sitting on her porch and being informed that her mother is coming from London
to visit her. Vivie s upbringing was different from her mother in such a drastic way and it calls into
question the morality of the decisions that Mrs. Warren made in her earlier years. Mrs. Warren had to
make a decision in her earlier years that was morally wrong for most but she made it because her
morals were outweighed by the circumstances in which she was in. Shaw was known to be interested
in socialism and would write his works to reflect the views he wished to push into society. The play
Mrs. Warrens Profession has many tones of morality involved in the text. The discussions and
decisions of the characters in the play are all about the morality based on each individual s

Reoccurring Theme Of Death In Emily Dickinson s Poems
Emily Dickinson poems seem to have the same reoccurring theme, which takes on a negative
perspective on life; this is the theme of death. The theme of death is frequently used to express her
feelings throughout her life. Everyone has experienced the emotions that come with death, whether it
is a close family member, distant friends or even through storylines of movies. She uses the subject of
death to connect with the audience on an emotional level while also expressing her own feelings
through her poems. The theme of death is expressed in the majority of her poems. They share almost
the exact same idea of death such as, the act of grieving. Her poems might be similar but they all have
a different understanding and perspective of death whether it is positive or negative. The poem, I
heard a Fly Buzz when I died describes the scene and atmosphere of the moment when death comes.
Dickinson creates an image of someone lying on a bed with only being able to hear the sound of a fly.
She uses the fly buzz as a symbol of death and all the things associated with dying. This poem paints a
perfect picture of her idea of what happens before death, during death and after death. Dickinson uses
imagery by using descriptive language such as, the stillness in the room and air to portray what is it
like before death. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Stephen Spielberg s Minority Report
Stephen Spielberg s Minority Report, based off Phillip K. Dick s short story, takes place in the year
2054 and centers around a crime prevention program pilot tested in Washington, D.C. by the pre crime
division of the police force. With crime rates down 90%, the prevention program has proven to be
extremely successful; however, in a world of pre punishment the question remains: is it possible to
treat someone in a certain way because of what they may do in the future, even if it hasn t occurred
yet?
This film begins with three mutant pre cogs with the ability to predict the mindset and actions of
future murderers with 99% accuracy. Occasionally, however, the pre cogs do not all predict the same
outcome, with one pre cog predicting a dissenting future from the other two this discrepancy is

This investigation is spearheaded by Danny Witwer (Colin Farrell) who realizes that this deterministic
approach to crime, negating the offenders free will in the process of committing a crime, is not
necessarily engraved in stone. The head of the Pre Crime department, John Anderton (Tom Cruise),
rolls a ball off a desk which is caught by Witwer before it can fall onto the ground. Anderton asks
Witwer why he caught the ball, to which he responds, Because it would have fallen off the desk.
Anderton retorts that by Witwers logic, there is not definitive proof that the ball would have indeed
rolled off the table despite Witwers prediction. Nevertheless, he asserts that such is the case of the Pre
Crime system which knows beyond reasonable doubt that the would be criminals would become
criminals. Consequentially, the central concern surrounding the plot is that of pre punishment in which
would be criminals are pre punished for crimes which they have yet to commit, but presumable

History and Analysis of Mormonism in America Essay
History and Analysis of Mormonism in America
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints was officially organized by Joseph Smith in
Western New York on April 6, 1830, and by 1978, spread to more than seventy nations. One
uniqueness of the Mormon religion is that it was the first church to have begun in the United
States.
Following the revivals of the 1800 s, religion entered a temporary decline in Western New York,
reawakened in 1807 1808, then declined again because of the military excitement The Chnts of
1812.
After this time, a new wave of revivalism began, in liberal churches such as the Unitarians and to
conservative churches such as the Congregationalists. Not surprisingly, as all of these churches

He went into the woods to pray and in the words of Joseph Smith, I saw a pillar of light over my head,
above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me . . . when the light
rested upon me I saw two personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above
me in the air. One of them spoke unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other, This is
My Beloved Son. Hear Him. To Joseph this meant that he was forgiven of his sins and was not to join
any of the organized churches.
For the Mormons the visit of an angel to Joseph Smith during the night of September 21, 1823,
signaled the documentary foundation of Mormonism. A statue representing the angel stands atop the
Salt Lake Temple. In one hand the figure holds a trumpet: in the other are clasped plates symbolic of
the Book of Mormon, the ancient religious record whose existence Smith claimed was revealed to him
in 1823.
Shortly after his first vision Joseph Smith was concerned with his lack of spirituality. He was praying
on Sept. 21 when he was rewarded with the appearance of an angelic being who said his name was
Moroni. It was Moroni who told Joseph Smith where the gold leaves or plates were located. Smith
tried to keep this secret, however, word got out. And today, this religion is practiced by millions in the
United States.

The Status Of Women In Society
The status of women in a society is a significant reflection of the level of social justice in that society.
In the literature, women s status is commonly described in terms of their education, income,
employment, health, fertility, etc. somewhere it has shown thattheir roles within family, community
and society also. But if we are talking about tribal communities, the role playing by women is crucial
and substantial. According to the Oxford dictionary a tribe is a group of people in a primitive or
barbarous stage of development acknowledging the authority of a chief and usually regarding
themselves as having a common ancestor . Tribalare assumed the original dwellers of this
subcontinents and residing since unrecorded time. India is the second largest country in the world in
terms of high concentration of indigenous Tribal population which is just after the African continent.
Women play a crucial role in this communitybut yet their conditions are pitiable. Empowerment is an
active process enabling women to realize their full identity and power in all spheres of life
(Gnanadhas Mahalekshmi, 2011). Empowerment is a process that takes a person from a position of
powerless inaction to responsible action. The process moves through several stages from a)
participation to b) decision making to c) action and, ultimately to d) the capacity to take responsibility
for those actions. Empowerment is a complex concept and it is interpreted in many ways. It comes

Flat Iron Mesa in San Juan County
Flat Iron Mesa is located in the heart of the Moab and Canyonlands area and enters San Juan County.
It is surrounded by the Hatch Wash Canyon to the west and the La Sal mountain range towards the
east. The vast features of the mesa and surrounding canyons demonstrate the remarkable effects of
millions of years of erosion on a landscape of mostly sedimentary rock. The mesa s extensive
landscape is covered with biological soil crust as well as an abundance of ephemeral pools. The
potholes throughout the mesa are naturally occurring basins in deposits of sandstone that progressively
collect rainwater and wind blown sediment which gradually erode the underlying rock; leaving a
series of circular impressions along the mesa s floor. Weathering, geologic processes such as erosion,
and climatic shifts allow for this immense desert ecosystem to continually evolve and change which
has taken place for millions of years. This geologically wealthy environment is composed of
alternating flat lying layers of soft and hard deposits of mostly sedimentary rocks. Interchanging
slopes and cliffs along the landscape helped form these layers of rock which can be seen fully exposed
in areas of the mesa. Deposition of this landscape mainly occurred during the Permian, Pennsylvanian,
Triassic and Jurassic time periods. The assortment of warm hues of sandstone were produced by
varying levels of iron oxide minerals during formation. For hundreds of millions of years, geologic

Construction Of The Natural Environment
. INTRODUCTION: Nigeria like other developing countries is undergoing rapid growth accompanied
by rapid development pressure with high demand for Housing and Infrastructure as a result of
population growth. In 2000 the United Nation food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) found that the
role of population dynamics in local setting may vary from decisive to negligible and that
deforestation can result from a combination of population pressure and stagnation of economy, social
and technological condition . The present administration of Niger State Government embarked on
mass constructions projects in order to reduce the alarming demands of housing. This leads to the
obliteration of the natural environment Forests are being destroyed for several reasons, among which
are the continued urbanization of the world and thus the need for construction of roads and buildings.
The need for fuel and timber for construction is another major factor leading to deforestation (Domries
and Salati, 1991). However, over half of the worlds tropical rainforest have already been destroyed,
and they are continuing to be destroyed today (Dowroes 1991). Moreover, the nature of construction
in Nigeria has visibly affected the environment. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in Nigeria is
faced with so many challenges from enforcement of laws governing the necessity of EIA in some

Campfire Revenge Analysis
Campfire Revenge
Summary:
When a husband tossed gas on a campfire, one mother was horribly injured from the fiery inferno. She
suffered burns on 40 percent of her body and face. After checking into the hospital, her husband
abandoned her and her four year old daughter. He was unable to handle her injuries, but he did not
expect her surprising revenge.
Introduction:
Not long ago, Terry and Courtney had an amazing life. They began a holiday romance while they were
traveling together. Before long, they were in a committed relationship. When the couple found out that
they were expected a baby, they decided to get married.
Five years later, the happy family decided to go on a camping trip. They wanted to go to the same spot
where Terry had initially proposed to Courtney after finding out that they were pregnant. The family
was excited to return to the wilderness spot where their dreams and life started together.

Main:
At that point, Courtney s life could not get any better. She was madly in love with her husband, and
they had a perfect child together. It seemed like their future was bright. The years stretching before
them seemed filled with love and hope. Their goal was to be together forever and retire to a pair of
rocking chairs on their front porch. Unfortunately, their big dreams were not going to come true.
Because of one tragic event, the couple s life would change forever.

Courtney remembers the event like it happened yesterday. I can smell the fire and gas. The scent of
my skin burning filled my nostrils as I screamed in agony. All I could think of was my daughter and
Terry. I had not control over what happened, and the pain made me pass out.
Her fiery demise was caused by an unintentional event. Terry had decided to get rid of the gas from
their camp oven by tossing it on the flames. In the darkness, he did not realize how close Courtney
was to the fire. When the fire engulfed, he realized to his horror that she was covered in flames.

important to understand the meaning marriage and how it will change life. If more people were
focused on making a marriage work, then divorce rates may lower. It is also important to understand
that a marriage is hard work and has the ability to be emotionally tiring at times. People considering

receiving one. People wanting to get married need to research all of the requirements for getting
married, even though there are few. Laws may vary from state to state; this is why it is important to
research all of the requirements for different situations. I find it interesting that there is an age
requirement to get married, but not a requirement to take a compatibility test. I think that even if there
wasn t a compatibility test that couples should have to be asked simple questions to see how well the
couple knows one another. It would be beneficial to have couples explain how long they have been

the down falls of being able to get married so easily is that it doesn t pressure the couple to really think

Her keen interest in Mathematics motivated her to learn new skills and concepts by working on advance concepts. She works consistently on the material given to her by her teachers in school and us at home. Saanvi is a quiet but an observant child. Her understanding of the ideas mostly revolve around the patterns be it in her surroundings or her topics in Math, Science or Social Studies. • 3. Iranian Society Is Not A Country Of Fundamentalists And... Iranian society is more complexed than what its face value portrays. The west tends to attach negative associations with Iran and the rest of the middle east. The author writes that the purpose of her book is to show that Iran is not a country of fundamentalists and terrorists, and that characterizations of the country by the West are inaccurate. Satrapi s narrative does the Iranian society justice. It explains the common misconceptions of Iran and its society by a first hand account, Marjane Satrapi. In the 1980 s, politics was everything in Iran, it was the main topic of conversation. As a ten year old girl, the author is forced to wear a veil to school by those that called for a cultural revolution in Iran. There are many protests both for and against this cultural revolution. Her French non religious school is abolished and boys and girls are separated for education. Her mother protests against the changes and her picture appears in newspapers across Europe (8). Marjane s father explains the history of the Revolution to her: Reza Shah had been a foot soldier fighting against the King of Persia in order to install a republic. This had been during a time when Western democratic ideals were being instituted in many countries around the world. The British had learned of Reza Shah s desire to overthrow the king and, seeing an opportunity to profit from the country s rich oil fields, the British had supported Reza Shah s plans. • 4. Lindbergh Kidnapping Research Paper The Kidnapping of the Lindbergh Baby: Overview: American aviator Charles Lindbergh s infant son Charles Jr. Lindbergh was kidnapped in March of 1932 from their home in Hopewell, New Jersey. A ransom note was written and eventually paid by the family. When the family paid the ransom, they were told they would find their infant son on a boat of the shore of New Jersey, but it was later discovered that this boat did not exist. The body of their infant son was found a week later a few blocks from their home. Investigators matched the handwriting of the ransom note to the handwriting of Bruno Richard Hauptmann, who was found guilty for kidnapping and murder. This was the first case solved by handwriting analysis. How Did a Document Help the Case: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This diary contained a look into the mind of the arguably most evil and twisted man to ever live. As it drew the attention of all of the population of the world to have the opportunity to hop into the mind of the man behind the Holocaust, Forensic Scientist felt an incredible amount of suspicious behind the documents and decided to do further research. This research led to the discovery that, though the handwriting seemed to match that of Adolf Hitler, the materials used in the jornal, such as the type of paper, the glue used to hold the journal together, and the ink of the pen, were proved to have been manufactured in a post war time. I Will Survive If you re looking for a science fiction adventure that will not be soon forgotten, a movie that takes a somewhat realistic how to guide for surviving on an inhospitable planet, or if you just want a movie that is a blast from liftoff to landing, this movie might just be the best choice. You will not only be enthralled by the cinematography and special effects, but the acting and the upbeat tone make this movie truly stellar. Directed by Ridley Scott and based on the book by Andy Weir, the Martian is a hard science fiction adventure set in the godforsaken Martian landscape. After being injured during a Martian dust storm, presumed dead and being left behind by his fellow astronauts (played by Jessica Chastain, Kate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, as sure as I Will Survive is the main theme of this movie, he retains this childlike optimism throughout this movie, making wisecracks and jokes throughout the entire film. The acting and cinematography, as mentioned before, is also stellar. Although it may seem rather dull to some viewers, I thought Dariusz Wolski made a rather realistic, albeit bland, Martian landscape. Still, the landscape shots were impressive to say the least. Also, I enjoyed the performances of the actors. Primarily, I thought Matt Damon s chipper portrayal of the NASA botanist was amazing. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast was memorable, including Jessica Chastain s character, Captain Lewis. Finally, and this is perhaps the most well known fact about The Martian, the science in this movie hits the nail on the head. The details put into this movie, from the technology used for the missions to how he plans to escape the red deathtrap, shows a level of care for the science part of science fiction. This movie will blast off into a captivating and thrilling adventure that will take you out of this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He wrote down his ideas in a document titled A Modell of Christian Charity (Doc 1). In this document, he planned ideas for a perfect Puritan society. At the start of this settlement, he became the governor of it. These ideas and values were an important aspect of the political, economic, and social development of the Puritan society in New England. The most important values were community, religion, and education. These values that the Puritans upheld in Winthrop s society are responsible for the political, economic, and social development of the New England colonies from the 1630s to 1660. New England was known for having more educated people than any other colony, because they valued religion so much, since the ministers wanted the the knowledge of God to be passed down from generation to generation, the Puritans created Harvard. They believed that passing the knowledge of God down would please God.(Doc 4) The Puritans were known for being religiously intolerant; they only believed in their religion and did not accept any other. This was another social impact of the New England colonies. Nathaniel Ward believed that if people were religiously tolerant they either doubted their religion or were insincere about it(Doc 6). Ward believed that religious tolerance could start conflict throughout New England. He wanted the state and church to be together. Nathaniel Ward s statement started controversy. Roger Williams completely disagreed with Nathaniel Ward s statement. Williams believed that religious tolerance was a great thing. (Doc 5) Williams wanted others to see his way and join him. • 7. Moving Human Resources into an Employee Empowerment Culture Situation Moving Human Resources into an Employee Empowerment Culture Issue Employees are no longer content to work in an environment of adversity and autocracy. Instead, the decade long tradition of the Human Rights Movement for more than one generation lets individuals know that empowerment, change, respect, and actualization are powerful tools that will not only benefit employees, but increase productivity and profits for owners and managers. This has been the case for Yammer, the San Francisco based company that makes social networking software for businesses (Hoge, 2012). Theory Empowerment theory is tied up in Total Quality Management and the new models of Strategic Human Resource Management. Both TQM and SHRM move from simply the tactical to the strategic, looking at long term results, development of employees, retention as a strategy, and utilizing the human element as part of the overall business planning cycle (Wilkinson, 1998). Results Empowerment theory allows the organization as a whole to participate in the planning and execution process of the company. It allows non managerial staff members to take ownership, feel part of a larger whole, and increase their own performance as well as that of their departments and co workers. Using empowerment theory, absences decrease, job satisfaction increases, and almost all stakeholders report a more positive working experience and environment (Employee Empowerment, 2011). • 8. Taking a Look at the City of Atlanta Revenue Trends With the continued sluggish economy, Atlanta s total revenue projections continue to decline from the budget dating back to 2010 when the current mayor Kasim Reed took office. The City s property tax base is the primary component accounting for 40% of the City s general fund revenues. Property tax revenues have continued to experience declines associated with decreased residential tax bases, negative reassessments, successful tax appeals and continued weakness in the housing market. The City has demonstrated a measured response by continuing to budget property tax revenue collection conservatively. To meet the projections, the collection rate in the proposed budget was set to rise to 98%, up from the previous year s collection rate of 96% (Pendered 2013). Public utility, alcoholic beverages and other taxes are the second largest revenue source, at 23% resulting from franchise agreements of the use of the City s right of way in providing public utilities such as telecommunications, gas and electric and from taxes imposed on businesses operating in the City of Atlanta. Sales tax revenue is the third largest share of general fund revenues accounting for nearly 20% of revenue anticipations. Sales tax revenue is extremely flexible due to changes in economic performance associated with disposable income and unemployment levels. Despite still declining revenues, the budget avoids service cuts and property tax hikes, while adding about a million dollars to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is estimated that venous stasis ulcers affect 500,000 to 600,000 people in the United States every year and it is by far the most common type of leg ulcer seen (Foot Pain Explained). A person may have an ulcer on one or both legs and each leg may have multiple ulcerations. These ulcers are found in the inner part of the lower leg and can be very painful. Venous stasis is a very common disease of the leg. A venous stasis ulcer is a leg wound that does not heal because the veins of the legs are not pumping blood back to the heart. This doesn t mean it s infected. If it is infected, there will be a lot more drainage and the area around the ulcer will be much redder in color than normal. Venous stasis ulcers need to be cleaned and debrided to remove all dead tissues and to promote formation of healthy granulation tissue. Some doctors clean the wound with a mild soap and others use a wound cleaner. There are a few methods doctors use to debride an ulcer but the most common is where the doctor takes a scalpel and scrapes away all dead tissue within the ulcer and around the wound. If the ulcer has a lot of yellow fibrous tissue, the debridement may have to be done under local anesthesia because this can be a very painful procedure. Dead tissue has to be removed for two reasons; one it harbors bacteria so if the wound is already infected it helps clear up the infection and if the wound is not yet infected it greatly reduces the possibility of infection (Foot Pain Explained). Secondly, healthy tissue cannot form where there is an abundance of dead tissue so healing will be delayed (Foot Pain Explained). Depending on the wound, the doctor is the one who decides which method of debridement to use. After the cleaning and debridement, a dressing is applied. There are many types of dressings: moist dressings, hydrogel and hydrocolloid dressing, alginate dressings, collagen wound dressings, antimicrobial dressings, and composite dressings. ... The sprawling labyrinth spread like a technological metropolis from the Hub s core to its outer hull and took in over fourteen square miles of design suites, but for the last two days, only a single scientist walked its halls. John Wallace. All of these things really took a toll young Ophelia and caused her to go mad. There are many differing arguments from scholars as to why Ophelia decided to commit suicide. The Arts and Crafts Movement Essay The Arts and Craft movement was a social and artistic movement, which began in Britain in the second half of the nineteenth century and continued into the twentieth spreading to continental Europe and the USA. Its adherents artists, architects, designers and Craftsmen sought to reassert the importance of and craftsmanship in all arts in the face of increasing industrialization, which they felt was sacrificing quality in the pursuit of quantity. Its supporters and practioners were united not so much by a style rather than the common goal a desire to break down the hierarchy of the arts and to revive traditional handicrafts and make art that could be affordable to all. In the United States, the Arts and Crafts Movement took on a distinctively more bourgeois flavor. While the European movement tried to recreate the virtuous world of craft labor that was being destroyed by industrialization, Americans tried to establish a new source of virtue to replace heroic craft production: the tasteful middle class home. They thought that the simple but refined aesthetics of Arts and Crafts decorative arts would ennoble the new experience of industrial consumerism, making individuals more rational and society more harmonious. In short, the American Arts and Crafts Movement was the aesthetic counterpart of its contemporary political movement: Progressivism. Art Nouveau, 1890 1914, explores a new style in the visual arts and architecture that developed in Europe and North America at the end of the nineteenth century. Employee Is Harmed At Work In the event an employee is harmed at work and they meet all the requirements for workers compensation they can get health advantages and salary for the amount of time they miss work. With a specific end goal to get these advantages, the representative must lose their entitlement to sue their manager for the offense of disregard. There are a wide range of arrangements, which fluctuate from state to state. The workers that fit the bill for pay can get week after week installments as opposed to being paid by their manager, which would go about as a type of disability insurance. In the event that a worker needs compensation for monetary misfortune or restorative costs, it would be utilized as medical coverage. Another structure that falls under workers compensation is life insurance, which would be utilized if a laborer is killed during their employment. There are three defenses for an employer by law for worker related injury. These are the fellow servant doctrine, contributory negligence, and assumption of risk. The fellow servant doctrine is when another employee causes the worker to be injured and this would make the employer not responsible for the incident. The contributory negligence is when an employee does not use precautionary measures to be careful on the job. In this instance the employer would also not be responsible for the injuries the employee got. The last defense for an employer is the assumption of risk. The Jung Typology Test classifies people into one of the sixteen personality types determined by Isabel Briggs Myers and one of the four temperaments defined by David Keirsey. As narrated in chapter 1 (see here), at a very young age he began collecting seashells from beaches near his home in Madras. In researching the subject, his attention was drawn to the most peculiar varieties of seashells, such as the carnivorous murex. Soon he added these unusual specimens to his collection. As he got older, he transferred this interest to abnormal phenomena in chemistry, astronomy, and human anatomy. Perhaps he intuited that these anomalies fulfilled some kind of purpose in nature, that what does not fit the pattern has something interesting to tell us. Perhaps he felt that he himself with his passion for science when other boys were attracted to sports or games was a bit of an anomaly as well. In any event, as he matured his attraction to the bizarre and abnormal only grew. In the 1980s, as a professor of visual psychology at the University of California at San Diego, he came upon a phenomenon that appealed to his interest in anomalies in the deepest way the so called phantom limb syndrome. In this case, people who have had a limb amputated continue to experience sensation and pain where the limb used to be. Europe has seen many transitions in its history; which means every generation had different ideas about the type of government they would prefer. While Alexis De Tocqueville and Rudyard Kipling wanted Europe to imperialize, Edward Morel and Aime Cesaire were against it. Depending on the time they wrote, some of their reasonings were similar and some were totally new. NEW Alexis De Tocqueville travelled to Algeria twice in order to understand Arab s situations with French people. At first, he looked at Algeria as a democratic person, because he also did research on the democracy of America. He believed that if Algerians will be placed under French administration, they will never be able to succeed because Arabs do not create new government, but improve the one they already have. They live in Tribal organizations, which is very hard to break and their way of life is according to the Koran, which gives them civil and religious laws to be successful. He thought of both sides by saying that Algerians should have unity, so no foreign power can break in easily, and both Arabs and French will merge at some point if they will have a same leader. THose are just some of the health problems that pollution causes This information matters to me because it shows that bottled water not only affects the Earth by causing pollution, but that pollution also causes health problems. Not only does it affect the Earth by causing pollution, but bottled water can directly affect you. According to the online article Bottled Water vs. Tap Water: Rethink What You Drink by Priscilla Torres, The EPA regulates tap water, while the FDA oversees bottled. Yet FDA oversight doesn t apply to water packaged and sold within the same state, leaving some 60 to 70 percent of bottled water, including the contents of watercooler jugs, free of FDA regulation (Torres pg. 2 par.5). This matters to me because it means if every student in the Natomas district drank from bottled water, some of their water might contain chemicals because it wasn t checked. Chemicals are definitely a threat because Torres continues to say, Scientists in Germany found that the longer a bottle of water sits around (in a store, in your home), the more antimony it develops. High concentrations of antimony can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea (Torres pg. 3 par. 7). This information is important because it shows that just keeping water bottles for a long period of time can cause many health problems. If every student had to drink bottled water, they would constantly be getting sick and spreading their sickness to other students. Vivie was well educated, has a degree in math, and plans to get a job in London. Although the play is called Mrs. Warrens profession, the play is mostly about the ways that Vivie s interactions with her mother change her. The play opens with Vivie sitting on her porch and being informed that her mother is coming from London to visit her. Vivie s upbringing was different from her mother in such a drastic way and it calls into question the morality of the decisions that Mrs. Warren made in her earlier years. It is surrounded by the Hatch Wash Canyon to the west and the La Sal mountain range towards the east. The vast features of the mesa and surrounding canyons demonstrate the remarkable effects of millions of years of erosion on a landscape of mostly sedimentary rock. The mesa s extensive landscape is covered with biological soil crust as well as an abundance of ephemeral pools. The potholes throughout the mesa are naturally occurring basins in deposits of sandstone that progressively collect rainwater and wind blown sediment which gradually erode the underlying rock; leaving a series of circular impressions along the mesa s floor. Weathering, geologic processes such as erosion, and climatic shifts allow for this immense desert ecosystem to continually evolve and change which has taken place for millions of years. This geologically wealthy environment is composed of alternating flat lying layers of soft and hard deposits of mostly sedimentary rocks. Interchanging slopes and cliffs along the landscape helped form these layers of rock which can be seen fully exposed in areas of the mesa. Deposition of this landscape mainly occurred during the Permian, Pennsylvanian, Triassic and Jurassic time periods. The present administration of Niger State Government embarked on mass constructions projects in order to reduce the alarming demands of housing. This leads to the obliteration of the natural environment Forests are being destroyed for several reasons, among which are the continued urbanization of the world and thus the need for construction of roads and buildings. The need for fuel and timber for construction is another major factor leading to deforestation (Domries and Salati, 1991). However, over half of the worlds tropical rainforest have already been destroyed, and they are continuing to be destroyed today (Dowroes 1991). Moreover, the nature of construction in Nigeria has visibly affected the environment. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in Nigeria is faced with so many challenges from enforcement of laws governing the necessity of EIA in some projects by relevant agencies of Government to collation of adequate baseline data and implementation processes of the ... When the couple found out that they were expected a baby, they decided to get married. Five years later, the happy family decided to go on a camping trip. They wanted to go to the same spot where Terry had initially proposed to Courtney after finding out that they were pregnant. The family was excited to return to the wilderness spot where their dreams and life started together. Insert a picture of Courtney, Terry and their daughter on a camping trip looking happy together. Main: At that point, Courtney s life could not get any better. She was madly in love with her husband, and they had a perfect child together. It seemed like their future was bright. The years stretching before them seemed filled with love and hope. Their goal was to be together forever and retire to a pair of rocking chairs on their front porch. Unfortunately, their big dreams were not going to come true. Because of one tragic event, the couple s life would change forever. Insert a picture of a fire breaking out in camp. Courtney remembers the event like it happened yesterday. I can smell the fire and gas. The scent of my skin burning filled my nostrils as I screamed in agony. All I could think of was my daughter and Terry. I had not control over what happened, and the pain made me pass out. Her fiery demise was caused by an unintentional event. Terry had decided to get rid of the gas from their camp oven by tossing it on the flames. In the darkness, he did not realize how close Courtney was to the fire. When the fire engulfed, he realized to his horror that she was covered in flames.

In my own opinion, I think that a majority of people take marriage for granted. It is sad to say that divorce will always be an option as soon as a couple gets married. It is important to understand the meaning marriage and how it will change life. If more people were focused on making a marriage work, then divorce rates may lower. It is also important to understand that a marriage is hard work and has the ability to be emotionally tiring at times. People considering getting married need to realize that they have to be emotionally and mentally ready for the time and requirements a marriage takes to survive. Even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the state of Missouri, it is actually very easy to get hitched as some may call it. According to U.S Marriage Laws, the legal age to get married is 18. Whomever is getting married must apply for a marriage license which permits people to actually get married. The permit will expire 30 days after receiving one. People wanting to get married need to research all of the requirements for getting married, even though there are few. Laws may vary from state to state; this is why it is important to research all of the requirements for different situations. I find it interesting that there is an age requirement to get married, but not a requirement to take a compatibility test. I think that even if there wasn t a compatibility test that couples should have to be asked simple questions to see how well the couple knows one another. It would be beneficial to have couples explain how long they have been dating or engaged how well they know their partner, and what they understand about marriage. One of the down falls of being able to get married so easily is that it doesn t pressure the couple to really think about what they want as a couple and how they will adjust to married life. It can be a dramatic change for some people because they may never have had to be so responsible for so many things. It would be an advantage for people to understand what makes a stable marriage and what the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
