INTRODUCTION
Teacher starts the class by telling
an interesting story.
Ramu’s mother was pouring
coconut oil to a bottle from a
vessel. Accidently some drops of
oil fall into a bucket of water
placed there. She becomes sad in
losing the oil.
Teacher ask students, is there any
way to help that mother for
separating the oil from water.
Teacher motivates the students to
think about it.

and placed. Teacher calls two
students and give them some
kerosene and water. And ask them
to shake well and pour it into the
separating funnel. Allow it to stand
for some time without disturbing.
