multifaceted angles, offering diverse perspectives that range from feminist critiques to
psychological analyses. Sifting through this wealth of scholarship to construct a coherent
argument requires meticulous research and discernment.
Additionally, addressing the thematic layers intertwined with Lady Macbeth's character adds
another layer of complexity to the essay. From themes of ambition and power to guilt and
gender dynamics, the discourse surrounding Lady Macbeth encompasses a broad spectrum of
ideas that necessitate careful consideration and integration into the essay's framework.
Moreover, crafting a compelling and original thesis statement that contributes meaningfully to the
existing discourse while offering fresh insights presents a formidable challenge. Striking the

Nerdy Starcat Research Paper
The Nerdy Starcat lives in the deepest part of the ocean which is the ocean floor.
Its habitat has to be very dark, gloomy and cold. When the temperatures are cold, it
has the ability to use its thick skin to keep itself warm. However, if the temperatures
are hot, the Nerdy Starcat will overheat due to so much fur on its body. Because of
this, the Nerdy Starcat swims around the ocean floor to create its homes. Being very
picky and cautious about homes and environments, the Nerdy Starcat builds its home
behind the coral reefs. And the shape of its home is a banana. Due to such a unique
style and architecture of a home, fish swimming around it get attracted. The fish then
swim towards the banana and get eaten by the Nerdy Starcat. Having this
Diamond Foods Fraud
Allegations of Diamond Foods Inc. s Understatement of Accounts Payable.
Abstract On November 1, 2011, Diamond Foods Inc. s (NASDAQ: DMND)
unexpectedly disclosed serious discrepancies (possible understatement of accounts
payable) regarding its 2011 financial statement reports and as a result announced its
decision to delay its acquisition of the Pringles snack business from Procter amp;
Gamble Company (P amp;G) (NYSE: PG). Naturally, the November 1, 2011
confession caused an immediate plunge of Diamond Food s stock price, but worse, it
triggered several lawsuits from furious investors and created rumors about the future
viability of the company. The purpose of this study is to determine the facts and
critically analyze the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The controversy lies with a payment made to farmers on September 2011, well
after the end of Diamond s fiscal year closing, July 31, 2011. Diamond classified
this particular payment to walnut farmers as a momentum payment of 30 to 40
cents per pound for the coming 2011 crop. However, the walnut farmers contend
that the payment was really a way to compensate them for their 2010 crop payment
deficiency. The walnut farmer s contention is very interesting. Essentially you can
draw two scenarios from the information that has been provided so far: Scenario 1.
The walnut farmers were indeed paid in full for their 2010 crop and the momentum
payment was truly a pre payment for the farmer s 2011 crop. Scenario 2. Diamond
insidiously understated 2011 accounts payable to walnut farmers as a way to bolster
their 2011 net income. Potentially Fraudulent 2011 Financial Statements The
remainder of this report will focus on scenario 2. So what s the big deal? Why would
Diamond want to make their income statement look better? Recall the acquisition of
Pringle chips from P amp;G When Diamond announced on April 2011 that it was
going to acquire Pringle chips form P amp;G, its stock surged. Unfortunately,

literature review of Wireless Sensor Network routing protocols. A wireless sensor
network (WSN) consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensors to monitor
physical or environmental conditions and to cooperatively pass their data through the
network to a main location. Routing in
WSNs is very challenging due to the inherent characteristics that distinguish these
networks from other wireless networks like mobile ad hoc networks or cellular
networks. Due to the relatively large number of sensor nodes, it is not possible to
build a global addressing scheme for the deployment of a large number of sensor
nodes as the overhead of ID maintenance is high. Thus they require careful resource
management. This paper describes various routing protocols and their comparison
and working of LEACH protocol and enhanced LEACH protocol. Keywords Wireless
Sensor Networks (WSN), Sensor Nodes,

Introduction:
Cyber security threats change quickly as Internet increases, and also the related
dangers are getting to be progressively international. Being covered against cyber
security threats requires almost all end users, actually the most complex versions, to
know the particular threats in addition to enhance their particular safety measures
with a continuing foundation. On April 28, 2014 President Obama has declared that
the cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges
we face as a nation and that America s economic prosperity in the 21st century will
depend on cyber security. The internetenables and also helps people in a many ways

Prince Revealed In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Prince
Once upon a time, in a land far beyond the embraces of the horizon, where the wind
carried the secrets of the sky in its whispered lunges, and the shadows danced for
Death at the corners of perception, there lived a Prince. This Prince, who ruled over
a grand kingdom at the heart of an ancient forest, was very beautiful. He was so
striking to look at in fact, that all those whose eyes gazed upon him swore that he
had been born from the very stardust that had shaped the universe; and that if any
stared at his ethereal form for too long, they would surely go blind. In this way,
although the Prince was kind, caring, and a fair ruler to all of his subjects, his
physical perfection was seen as too great of a burden, and fear to those around him....

The scene that he saw before him was so like his fantasy that he almost thought
himself to still be asleep. Except, in his visions, when his subjects had been looking
towards him, something vital had been missing. He could feel the soft fluttering
buzz of all of his peoples hearts beating around him, and while the song they
produced was unfamiliar, the Prince believed that it might be called Love. Perhaps, it
was the essential factor he had been searching for. Thus, with the entire kingdom
surrounding their leader in a state of collectivity, and with the powers of this
newfound Love protecting against the effects of Time, the Prince decided that dreams
were not things that could ever be found at the bottom of small brown bottles. Rather,
the true dream came from living a life that was continually present, and constantly
attempted to capture even if only for a moment a happily ever
Bourne Trilogy Research Paper
The Bourne Trilogy The Bourne Trilogy is a series of three different movies, The
Bourne Identity, the Bourne Supremacy and the Bourne Ultimatum, directed and
produced by several people. I will be writing this description on all three movies in
the trilogy. The Bourne Identity The Mediterranean Sea had a raging storm
stirring up, when a commercial fishing ship came to spot a drifting body among
the waves. This mysterious man had taken two gunshot wounds, and the ship s
cook and skipper took care of him. The cook later located a strange laser type light
in the patient s hip, which when projected; it displayed a bank number for a safe
deposit box in Zurich. Once the man recovered, he was diagnosed with amnesia,
and was unable to remember anything prior to when he awoke on the ship. Even
though he was suffering from amnesia, he was still able to speak many languages,
read, and write. Once the ship reached Zurich, the unknown man set out to find the
safe deposit box. In Langley, Virginia, CIA Deputy Director Ward Abbott discovered
that Treadstone, a secret CIA assassin organization, attempted to assassinate an
African dictator named Nykwana Wombosi on his cruise boat in the Mediterranean
Sea and was unaccomplished. However the CIA op mission was supposed to be...

Strategic Implementation Of The Community
As the organization is serving community its programs should be developed based on
the actual needs of the community. Strategic implementation can be made by
aligning the programs with the community priorities and needs. Therefore, guiding
the programs by the comprehensively identified needs of the community can lead the
organization into a strategic process. The community needs are dynamic and complex
which can be changed through time and conditions. Hence regular needs assessment
and consultation of the community member can help to develop community centered
planning and implementation of programs. Similarly understanding the government
and donor s priority is a key to strategically design programs which enable these

This not only affects the recruitment process but took Eddie s time which he could
have done other work. The newly recruited staffs Malik and Cormen had only
received one week training before starting their coaching, counseling, and mentoring
programs in the school. The training was short in view of the limited experience of
the staffs in this field. Furthermore, Eddie s did not develop effective means of
supervising and monitoring of these staffs deployed in the school. Due to this, the
organization failed to keep track of the work done by these newly recruited staffs.
Despite the organization planned to reach out 40 kids annually it ends up only

How Has Christianity Impacted My Life
Ultimately, it was through the work of the early Church, Christianity had been able
to have its magnitude. It makes one wonder, what did they bring up that brought
multitudes to Christ? Well, it was a very simple tool that it is in the hand of every
believer today the testimony. Their testimony and our testimony centers around the
Resurrection and the transformative power of Christ. Yet, what makes each
testimony unique is God s unique plan for everyone s life. Our lives and how God
intervened in them provides an avenue for us to relate to the struggles of others
showing them that God can change their life too. All my blessings and struggles
have been beautifully woven into a testimony that I can share with those that need to
hear the Gospel, yet there wouldn t be a testimony if God didn t save my life.... Show

From my distant childhood memories, I believe that our family went to church
regularly. However, after Hurricane Katrina, our family didn t attend church because
we were so occupied with rebuilding our lives. Yet, I was still able to have exposure
to Christ from my God fearing parents and my Catholic school. Eventually, due to
the conviction in my parents hearts, we found a church home. From there on, I
could receive the Word in a church setting regularly. As time went on, I matured in
my faith and became fond of the things of God. I wanted to discover him and
understand why I believed in Him. In my early high school years, I talked about Him
with my friends for I had a passion for Him. However, it was becoming increasingly
aware to me that I was being a lukewarm
The Fear Of Public Speaking
According to The University of Iowa, glossophobia, the fear of public speaking,
remains the number one phobia in people all around. Although one can t usually
eliminate the fear, one can learn how to manage and reduce it. Once learning how to
control anxiety, public speaking can lead to success for anyone. Seventy five percent
of people experience this fearof speaking in front of others, and I am one of them.
When I was a little girl I was very shy. I would be afraid to enter conversations, meet
new people, and wouldn t feel confident around people in general, especially when it
came to public speaking. In seventh grade, I did my first major speech and
experienced a lot of anxiety. Before the speech, my stomach hurt so bad that I
thought I was about to throw up. I was dizzy, my hands were sweaty, and my face
was very pale. I got told I looked like I was sick, and I thought I was going to be.
During the speech, my heart was pounding so hard, it felt like it was going to bust
out of my chest. Unfortunately, I decided not to finish the speech and end it early
because of how nervous I was. Now I am in a public speaking class, and have
learned how to manage my speech anxiety. From experience, learning how manage
anxiety is the best way to get over the fear of public speaking.
Preparing for the speech is a huge part of achieving for success. First, selecting a
speech topic that interests you is crucial. When choosing my speech topic in seventh
grade, we had a requirement of
How Did Michelangelo Influence His Work
If you look at most of his art work, you can see his feelings he put in to them from
his life and his pain in his life time. He was a great arts that had many paintings that
had different styles. Many rich families back then wanted Michelangelo to paint for
them, and many churches too. He liked being wanted as a painter. The paintings he
did were beautiful and amazing to the people that looked at them. Michelangelowas

ones. The Last Judgment was a big beautiful painting that is on the wall behind the
altar of Sistine Chapel. It took four years to finish the beautiful painting. The painting

But when the Pope Clement VII died, his successor Pope Paul changed the subject to
The Last Judgment. He thought that the painting would be telling of the times for

Pablo, The King Of Coke
Pablo Escobar (or Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria) is frequently signified as the King

Becoming An Ultrasound Technician
Becoming an Ultrasound Technician Someone would need to know what it takes
and the daily routines of an ultrasound technician if they are hoping to become one.
A person should know the amount and the type of schooling needed. They should
know what classes are needed, and they should also know the advancements and
changes in the profession in the last few years to know what is ahead of them and
why the school curriculum has changed. The reason I am writing this paper is
because I would like to know, and to share what I found. I have wanted to become
an ultrasound technician for years, but have put it off because I have been out of
school 14 years and was scared to come back. I would love to work in an
obstetrician s office, because that would be my dream job. The reason I want to
become one is because most of my family is in the medical field somewhere so I
have the background and lots of knowledge, but I don t care for the blood and guts
that go with most of the careers in the medical field. With radiology it is non
evasive I love babies, also. I wouldn t mind going into other fields of the industry
either. Over the last few years ultrasound technicians as a career has upgraded a lot
because of the advancements in the technology. We have learned besides seeing
what is going on inside the body we can use the sound waves, that ultrasound
technology used to produce the image, to provide therapy to correct a problem which

Black Triangles At Auschwitz
During WWII Nazi s owened many concentration camps. Auschwitz was the largest
camp of the Nazi concentration camps. It held several racial groups hostage as
prisoners. The most common types of prisoners were Jews. Auschwitz opened in
1940 and closed in 1945 (Auschwitz). It was first planned to only hold 125
prisoners of war, but ended up being so much more (Auschwitz Birkenau).
Auschwitz camp was the largest camp of the Nazi concentration and death camps.
Auschwitz I was the first, and main camp of Auschwitz (Holocaust). It was created
in abandoned Polish army barracks. It was located in the suburb of the city.
Auschwitz II was built later in the years, it was called Birkenau. Birkenau had the
largest prisoner population out of all concentration camps (Holocaust). There were
many other camps at Auschwitz, but the other main ones were Majdanek, Warsaw,
and PЕ‚aszГіw (Auschwitz Birkenau). On November 3, 1943, the SS ordered that
Birkenau and Monowitz become independent camps (Holocaust). This caused many
more deaths in the following years. The detainees were labeled by their ethnicity. All

The Polarity Of College Students
Digital Age
The Polarity of College Students
Back in my days, we were not fortunate enough to... Gotcha! Did you expect that to
be a dull story like our grandparents or parents may have told to show us how much
more difficult their lives were? Not exactly, this writing is about how college students
of this generation make use of digital technology. The wide spread of today s
technology via computers or smartphones results in constant connectivity to the
internet. Social media, video gaming, information databases, and online classes, have
affected college students studies. As a result, more students are being distracted,
making a wider academic gap with self disciplined students. Most college students
use a computer at home and/or a smartphone, a more compact, mobile version of a
computer. Thanks to the mobility of smartphones that makes them ubiquitous,
accessing the internet is effortless. Frequently, I observe students dotting all over the
campus interacting with their smartphones. As observed by Clive Thompson, author
of Smarter Than You Think, our tools are everywhere, linked with our minds,
working in tandem (p.347). In other words, we are likely to be using our computers
all the time. We use our computers whenever we have a chance. In particular,
students from my writing class opt to use their smartphones during our short ten
minutes break. Author of Is Google Making Us Stupid? Nicholas Carr shares a
similar experience, Even when I m not working, I m as
Existential Anxiety Via Self Preservation Essay
Ashley Martinez Professor Steven Adisasmito Smith Modern World Literature 12
December 2016 Existential Anxiety via Self Preservation To a man utterly without a
sense of belonging, mere life is all that matters. It is the only reality in an eternity of
nothingness, and he clings to it with shameless despair. ― Eric Hoffer In its most
basic definition, an existential crisis occurs when a person feels out of touch with
their place in the world. They question why they are here as well as what
determines their leaving. In Leo Tolstoy s Hadji Murat and Wole Soyinka s Death
and the King s Horseman, two characters experience a similar reaction after failing
to conform to societal expectations. For example, in Hadji Murat, the titular
character s shifting allegiance depends on whatever is in the best interest of his
family. He initially rejects his community leader s request for him to join the
ghazavat or holy war against the Russians (Tolstoy 335 464). After this refusal,
Hadji Murat pledges his allegiance to the latter whether he can actually be trusted
or not is an entirely differently matter (Tolstoy 335 464). In Wole Soyinka s Death
and the King s Horseman, we have Elesin Oba, a character who fails to follow his
king in death because he still wishes to remain in the realm of the living (1049
1078). However, based on existential theory, their existential crises manifest
themselves in four different ways. That being said, a closer
John Carrol My Boy Life Essay
After reading the short story My Boy Life which is the memoir of John Carroll, I was
from time to time envious of Carroll s life but also relieved that I was not born in the
1800 s. Born just before the war of 1812 in Upper Canada, Carroll s life was very
simple. His prospective future occupations only consisted of a few and were
predetermined from birth. How simple is life when everything is already set in
stone? From the ageof twelve to seventeen, Carroll worked at a tannery and as a
currier. Carroll s job was associated with his father s work, his father being a saddler
and harness maker. Only grinding the bark in the tannery, Carroll s life was consistent
and did not require much effort of having to plan out his future. Sadly, much... Show

Even from a relatively young age, people are more conscious of what is happening
around us as we have grown exceedingly intelligent too clever that our standards of
what we expect from individuals have gone up.
All of these factors make it seem like I have a tougher life than Carroll, but some
aspects are still harder in his life. As he lives his daily life, Carroll, as a boy is
expected to do heavy chores and to earn money for the family. Carroll operated the
harrow, a heavy piece of strong wood in the form of the letter A . He performed
this through the use of two oxen, but even then, it was very wearisome to perform
this necessary but draining work. This would be extraordinary to see in the twenty
first century as the chores are relatively smaller and easier to manage. Generation
after another, humans grew lazy and all the tasks performed before are replaced by
machines that accomplish tasks ranging from the most difficult to the easiest.
Carroll regrettably beat the poor oxen when the heavy harrow jerked, giving him a
great shock to his slender arms. The oxen tried Carroll s patience and as he was
without grace at the time, it often made him lose his temper. Profanities were
thrown at the pitiable unknowing brutes which Carroll still repents even at the age
of seventy. At a young age, it was harder for Carroll to get jobs and less common for
fair payment to be received upon child labour. As you were not treated equally with
adults, the pay was mostly bare minimum.

Photolabile nucleobase protection has been used to achieve exquisite control over
biological processes through light regulation, also referred as photocaging. The
concept was introduced by Engels (Engels and Schlaeger, 1977; Engels and Reidys,
1978) and independently by Hofmann (Kaplan et al., 1978). Watson Crick base
pairing is blocked by caging groups, completely preventing oligonucleotide duplex
formation. Duplex formation is restored when irradiated by the light at specfic

molecule inactive; however, upon irradiation with light at particular wavelength, the
molecules can be activated (See detailed review by Shao and Xing, 2010; Tang et al.

of particular interest.

Renaissance Influence On The Historical And Social...
Renaissance Influence on the Historical and Social Significance of Self Portraiture
During the Renaissance, artists were acquiring status and the technical means to
create a new genre of art called self portraiture (Bond). Portraits are defined as
having a likeness of a specific individual (Adams). However, self portraits do not only
have a likeness of the artist but also a sense of psychology that connects the viewer to
the artist. This connection gives the self portrait a depth of complexity that even
portraits do not always achieve. Following the development of self portraiture, one
must transverse the development of portraiture. Then one must follow self portraits
connection to portraiture and self portraits own unique development. Then one must
recognize the influence of the society on the value of the artist and their artworks. In
order to understand the significance of the development of self portraiture, one must
have some familiarity with the history of portraiture and its development as a whole.
Portraiture is a facet of the artistic community that retains a deep history from

Exploratory Job
What exploratory shop did I find most interesting? For me it was a close tie between
culinary and business, with the former being slightly more interesting due to the
hands on elements of shop. Because I was interested in both shops, I decided to
research a career which has elements of both: food service management. This field
combines aspects of business with the culinary arts, making it an attractive option for
someone like me.
So what does a food service manager do? In short, they manage the entire restaurant.
Typical obligations include employee management, food/supply procurement,
equipment inspection, financial record keeping, and complaint address. Other
duties including overseeing food preparation, scheduling, and establishing
personnel and customer service standards also fall on a food service manager. To
fulfill all these jobs, most food service managers work long shifts for 40 hours a week
or more, usually at a fine dining restaurants or fast food establishments. Although they

There is a projected growth of employment of 5% in the next 8 years, as population
growth elevates the demand for various places to dine out. Advancement in the
field is also possible, as an individual gains more experience, they have a greater
likelihood of being employed at an upscale restaurant. However, in an effort to save
costs, many of these establishments will hire less employees as time goes on, and
consequently fewer food service managers.
So how will culinary help me advance my career goals? Taking the shop will
provide me with a valuable introduction to restaurant basics. With the skills I learn I
will then be able to get hired in a restaraunt, and accumulate work experience before
eventually becoming a food service manager. And if I can successfully become a
food service manager, I will have a career that combines both my interest in the

A black hole is a point in space where there is extreme gravitational pull, so extreme
that light itself cannot escape. The strength of gravity is so strong due to the fact that
an immense amount of matter has been contained in a small space.
The existence of black holes was first theorized by John Mitchell in 1783. Mitchell
accepted Newton s laws of gravity and suggested that light escaping from the surface
of a star would have its speed reduced due to the gravitation pull of the star, and
therefore if a star s gravitation pull was strong enough even light would not be able
to escape.[1] Using the approximate speed of light he reasoned that if an object was
approximately 500 times the mass of the sun light would not be able ... Show more

As this matter spirals into the black hole it creates what is known as an accretion disk,
which accelerates and heats up emitting X rays which can then be detected by
astronomers.[6]
Furthermore existence that black holes exist comes from the observations of
astronomers of bursts of energy which are detected and then lost. An event horizon
is an area of space around a black hole for which nothing can escape, once an object
or any matter crosses this event horizon the gravity of the black hole will be too
strong for it to escape. As a cloud of gas swirls and nears a black hole, the gases
heat up and will emit x rays. Astronomers have observed instances of several burts
of x rays being detected and then disappearing at areas where black holes are
thought to be found. This may be caused by the gases emitting x rays and then
crossing the event horizon and disappearing forever. The observations of these bursts
of energy are useful for astronomers in finding black holes.
GX 339 4, illustrated here, is among the most dynamic binaries in the sky, with four
major outbursts in the past seven years. In the system, an evolved star no more
massive than the sun orbits a black hole estimated at 10 solar masses. [5]
However the strongest evidence of black holes comes from our

Should We Try To Change America
As Nikita Khrushchev once said, America will fall without a shot being fired. It
will fall within. And America may be on that crash course. We need a strength
from within, To rise above all. The next step we take shouldn t be the last one. We,
as Americans are free, but, of course, we should not be robbed of that freedom. It s
gotten progressively worse, and now, than the presidential election is right around
the corner, America, I feel, is about to fall. Nevertheless, America is a great country
within itself. But what I m trying to say is, we should patch it the butchered trail we
left behind. On the contrary, I think America is still chugging just fine, for now. I
feel if we try to change, we will collapse. This seems
Nuclear Power Essay example
Since the end of the last century, the development of modern technology and science
has played a significant role as measure to resolve energy crisis and global warming
issues which resulted in life sustaining remedies and causes of mass destruction.
However, many scientists agree that the earth s fossil fuel supplies are dramatically
depleting and this challenge will be a meaningful hurdle for future generations.
Therefore, many countries may need to find new productive energy sources in order
to tackle this problem. Many proponents of nuclear powersuggest that the benefits of
nuclear power could be capable of alleviating climate change crisis due to its cost
effective and capability to supply the world s energy needs. In contrary,... Show more

This essay will argue that nuclear power will not be a sustainable energy source of
21st century for three main reasons. These include high cost of generating nuclear
power, health effects of radiation and long term impact of radioactive waste on the
environment as well as present its disadvantages and compare it to renewable energy
sources of solar power and wind power.
Public perception on nuclear energy is much influenced by subjective impressions
mostly formed through sensational and dramatic news of mass media or anti nuclear
groups. However, nuclear experts, those who have more relevant knowledge and
information about nuclear energy, may have reasonable opinion based on scientific
facts or inferences. Thus their opinion and consensus should be examined and taken
into account during the process of nuclear energy policy formulation. For the
purpose of eliciting experts opinion, the web based on line survey system (eBOSS)
was developed. Using the survey system, experts views on nuclear energy were
tallied, analyzed and compared with the public s. Based on the survey results, the
paper suggests some recommendations about the future direction of the public
information program in Korea.
First of all, it would appear that the obvious drawback of nuclear power is its high
economic cost such as the coat of building a nuclear reactor
Advertising through Social Media
Due to technological advancements and the mainstream culture of the United States,
businesses are looking for more proficient ways to advertise and sell their goods to
consumers.
Since the internet and social media have taken off in popularity, consumers are
noticing that social media can lead them to better sources for purchasing goods. Just
as consumers are realizing the importance of social media, businesses have turned to
using social media as a filter to reach their business and marketing goals. As the
business environment changes, businesses are focusing on legal astuteness,
alternative dispute resolutions and government regulation. Social media market
managers recognize the importance of legal astuteness. Legal astuteness [...] is a
valuable managerial capability that enables firms to increase realizable value in four
[...] components (Bagley, 2008, p. 387). These four components are: a set of value
laden attitudes, context specific knowledge of the relevant law and the appropriate
application of legal tools, the ability to exercise informed judgment, and a proactive
approach. Ensuring a set of value laden attitudes ensures company growth and
attainment. Within these attitudes, social media market managers understand that
law is fundamental to a business s success. Managers comprehend that law creates
the rules as well as heavily influences the societal consensus on moral expectations
and moral values, as well as their development through time. The law doesn t

Pearl Earring Griet
FILM STUDY WORKSHEET
1.In the film The girl with the pearl earring by Peter Webber it s about a young girl
named Griet who is hired by the Vermeer s family to be the maid in the city of
Dealft, Holland in 1655. The film takes an interesting turn when Griet began to work
more as the personal assistant of Johannes Vermeer than as the household maid. Griet
experimented admiration from Johannes and even some other feeling that involve
passion, though from a very beginning she was dating the butcher s town. Johannes
paint Griet due the insistence of Van Rujiven and use his wife s earrings for his

An ideological factor (which can also be an economical factor) of the film is that a
maid should not be treated with the same respect as the owners of the house in
which she serves. This is due to the time in which the movie is located and because it
was though that people who had not the same economical range as rich ones were
less than them.
9.We can learn from the film The girlwith a pearl earring that the passion for art can
make people felt in love between them (in this case Griet and Johannes) despites
not having more in common and can make them understand each other because of
this passion . Also that the arrival of a new member in a family (in this case a
maid) can cause problems such as jealousy. 10.In my opinion, a movie can help
you understand better the historical events because when you read them in a book
you are able to get information but you are not able to see the facts as they passed
with your own eyes as you can do in a movie. Moreover, it is much easier to
understand a movie than a book according to most of the people, but despites this,
it is true that not everything that happens in a movie may be true because the
directors are driven by what may be more interesting for viewers to see that what
actually happened and that s why most of the people prefer to see a book if they

Western Front Inhumanity
In All Quiet on the Western Front, one of the themes associated with the war was the
inhumanity of mankind. The motif of animal instincts between characters showcased
this abandonment of humanity. In addition, the strong theme of nationalism
throughout this time period encouraged the loss of individuality. Lastly, men in
positions of authority in the novel dehumanized soldiers by abusing their position of
power. Overall, the events of the war promoted the development of the inhumanity of
mankind through recurring animal instincts, nationalism, and power abusive men.
Surviving the war was not a matter of intelligently planned decisions, but a series of
reactions triggered by primal instincts. The animal instincts within strong soldiers

For Paul and his comrades, who had sacrificed so much to participate in the war, the
unfair leadership created tension between the ranks. For example, when Paul was on
leave and strolled the streets of his hometown, a nearby Major became furious at Paul
because he had missed the opportunity to salute. This man, with the considerable
power to overthrow Paul s leave, orders Paul, Twenty paces backward, double march!
Paul complied, but was infuriated and contemplated the validity and relevance of
these men. This, ruins everything (163), for Paul, as he abandoned wearing his

officers were so often those without combat experience on the front. In fact,

Baby Rohan Jameson Ramjit Is Growing Healthy As Ever
3rd Trimester, 31 weeks and 4 days, Baby Rohan Jameson Ramjit is growing
healthy as ever. During these past 7 months, I have gained so much love for
someone I have never met before. Being 24 years old and becoming a mother has
changed my views on life. Learning so much about caring for a newborn has brought
on the thought of bottle feeding or breast feeding and trying to figure out which one
is safer for his health. Children enter this world helpless, trying to understand their
new environment and learning their new touch. Infants depend on the caring
individuals around them, especially their mothers, to help them in their first few
days of life to figure out the new aspect of life. It is the obligation of the parents to
take care and nurture their newborn. Parents are to deliver for their children both
through emotional needs as well as survival needs.
One thing about caring for a newborn is needing to be fed through the means of
milk. Formula bottle feeding or milk from the breast is a decision made by the
mother and father over doing their research of the health of their child. As stated in
Nancy E. Wright s article on the progression of breastfeeding, Aristotle said, There is
a reason behind everything in nature. Certain incidences take place in nature that has
effects or consequences to them. Choosing to breastfeed is a decision that new
mothers make that requires sacrifice and hard work, yet has the prospective to be a
very healthy food nutrient for infants.
The Human Race Should Pursue A Policy Of Active Seti
As debates rise over whether the human race should pursue a policy of active SETI,
perhaps the discussion should spend some time deciding what messages humans
should send into space. After all, the messages sent under a policy of active SETI
would largely determine the results of the policy. The extreme importance of the
content of the messages sent into space becomes clear when one considers how
organisms on earthrespond to different initial signals. For instance, a human, when it
sees a bee near, can either stand still, and let the bee go on its way (which would
probably work), or the human can try and wave the bee away (which would most
likely result in the bee stinging the human). In this case, the initial actions of the
human result in two drastically different results. From this example, one can see how,
before deciding if the earth should pursue active SETI, one must first understand
what messages humans would send into space under a program of active SETI. To
determine what the messages should contain, one must consider the audience. First,
one must realize that if said extraterrestrials are as technologically advanced as
humans, then they may have already noticed the waves humans have accidentally
leaked into space (Shostak). If this type of extraterrestrial civilization exists, there
are two main possibilities as to how they will react to a more direct form of
advancement from the earth. The first option: the other civilization will ignore a
direct advancement

In the recent case Hawse, T.C Memo 2015 99, The United States Tax court addressed
the issue of misinterpreting section 446(e), and distinguishing between correction of
an error and change in method of accounting. The court upheld a $5.4 million tax
deficiency judgement against a California auto dealership, JHH Motor Cars Inc. and
denied a claim for a refund. According to the judgement of the court, the taxpayer had
not received automatic consent from IRS for change of its accounting method from
LIFO to specific identificationmethod. But as the taxpayer used the specific
identification method for valuing his vehicle inventory for seven years, there was a
change in method of accounting.

The sale did not occur in 2001 and JHH continued to use the specific identification
method for its inventory for 2001 through 2007. But later it tried to amend the tax
return for the corresponding years to correct an error of using the specific
identification method and reverting back to LIFO inventory method, and requested a
refund. After JHH received its refund, IRS sent a notice of deficiency for the years
covered under amended returns. JHH filed a petition with the Tax Court.
Issues involved in the case:
i.Whether JHH received automatic consent from IRS to change its method of
accounting for its vehicle inventory from LIFO to specific identification method for
the tax years in issue. ii. If not, whether JHH changed its method of accounting for
2001 through 2007 notwithstanding its failure to obtain IRS consent. iii. If so,
whether there was a second change in its method of accounting when JHH attempted
to revert to LIFO method of accounting for its vehicle inventory by filing amended
tax returns for 2002 and 2003.
Section 446(a) states that the taxable income of a taxpayer shall be computed on the
basis of the accounting method under which he/she computes his/her income
regularly in keeping his/her books. Under section 446(e), if the taxpayer desires to
change his/her method of accounting, he/she must obtain the consent of IRS before
computing his/her taxable income under the new method.

A Beautiful Mind By Russell Crowe
Russell Crowe s portrayal of John Nash in A Beautiful Mind was a relatively
accurate depiction. It displayed many of the various obstacles one would have to
face in the event that they were diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. However,
there were certain inaccuracies that could have been fixed. If a modern clinician were

that would be most beneficial to him.

regarded in his field, and in 1953, he was sent to the Pentagon to break a code that
America had received from Moscow. After this, he was approached by a man
named William Parcher. He told Nash that he had to do more code breaking to try
and find the location of various Soviet bombs. Nash then believed that Parcher
placed a radioactive tracer in his arm (Howard, 2002). While working as a teacher,
Nash met a woman named Alicia Larde. Alicia was a student in Nash s class, and
they had a connection. He invited her to a party that would take place at the
university, and Alicia helped Nash in various social affairs that night, and this
brought more affection between the two. They stayed together, and eventually got
married (Howard, 2002). While working and teaching, Nash did work for Parcher
by decoding hidden messages in newspaper and other publishings. He would then
send his results in the form of letters in which he would drop off from a specifica
drop box on private property. In October of 1984, Nash believed Parcher picked
him up and they were being chased by another car, and they were being shot at.
After this, his paranoia increased drastically. Every car he saw he became suspicious
of who was behind the wheel. He

Jose De San Martin s Declaration Of Independence
Jose de San Martin was a well loved army general, and liberator extraordinaire. So
well loved, in fact, that when he arrived in Lima, Peru in July, 1821, a lady walked
up to him, swooned, fell into his arms, and repeatedly said Mi General! Mi
General! San Martin was humbled, and when she tried to leave his arms, he helped
her up, and gave her an affectionate salute. This woman loved San Martin, but did
all Peruvians? The country of Peru gained independence from Spain in 1824, but
before that, independence was proclaimed on July 28th, 1821 by Jose de San

According to William Spence Robertson, the first professor of Latin American
history at the University of Illinois, everyone in Lima was overjoyed by the idea of
independence. After the declaration San Martin held a ball, and the city was filled
with celebration. Timothy E. Anna, professor emeritus at the University of
Manitoba, provides a stark contrast to Robertson s view. He claims that the
declaration was faked, and the only reason Peruvians signed it was because they
were afraid of San Martin s foreign army. Carleton Beals, a prominent journalist on
Latin American issues in the mid 1990s, introduces yet another argument on
independence. He claims that independence ideals were a grassroots idea spread
throughout the military. The signing of the declaration of independence was a key
moment in the independence process, and can show evidence of the real mindset of
the Peruvian people. Because Jose de San Martin s army shut down trade,
intimidated the people of Lima, and destroyed various cities off of the coast, the
people of Peru didn t actually want the independence they were forced
A Serious Problem Of Testicular Cancer
A serious problem that exists among the Maori population in some areas of N.Z. is
testicular (teste) cancer. It affects young men from all backgrounds and there is little
research on what risk factors there are. The encyclopaedia Britannica online defines
teste cancer as a disease characterized by uncontrolled growth of cells within the
testis, the reproductive organ that produces sperm. Testicular cancerrepresents only 1
percent of all cancers in males, but it is the most common malignancy for men
between ages 15 and 35. 1 Whether or not teste cancer is the most serious health
problem among Maori arguable and additional health related problems should be
discussed. First of all, testicular cancer is one of the most crippling diseases creating
significant damage on patient and family. Additionally, the discrepancy between
Maori and Pakeha diagnosis of testicular cancer is a cause for concern. Contrariwise
a lack of knowledge on the difference between Maori and Pakeha psychology and the
way Psychologist/Psychiatrist deal with Maori patients. Finally, there is general
reluctance for Maori to seek mental healthwhich leads to difference between diagnosis
and treatment.
Firstly, the mental and physical anguish that surrounds testicular cancer is so
significant because it is the most common cancer affecting men between the ages of
15 and 39, but it is not limited to this age range. However, young men typically do
not get a lot of cancer, so overall testicular cancer is a

Linda s father, Oliver, tried to enroll her into the all white school. The school

opportunities as white americans. An African American team, lead by Thurgood
Marshall, won several cases involving

However, the walnut farmers contend that the payment was really a way to compensate them for their 2010 crop payment deficiency. The walnut farmer s contention is very interesting. Essentially you can draw two scenarios from the information that has been provided so far: Scenario 1. The walnut farmers were indeed paid in full for their 2010 crop and the momentum payment was truly a pre payment for the farmer s 2011 crop. Scenario 2. Diamond insidiously understated 2011 accounts payable to walnut farmers as a way to bolster their 2011 net income. Potentially Fraudulent 2011 Financial Statements The remainder of this report will focus on scenario 2. So what s the big deal? Why would Diamond want to make their income statement look better? Recall the acquisition of Pringle chips from P amp;G When Diamond announced on April 2011 that it was going to acquire Pringle chips form P amp;G, its stock surged. Unfortunately, according to Andrejczak of MarketWatch magazine (2011, November 2), Diamonds decline in stock value from its high of $94 to a low

A wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to a main location. Routing in WSNs is very challenging due to the inherent characteristics that distinguish these networks from other wireless networks like mobile ad hoc networks or cellular networks. Due to the relatively large number of sensor nodes, it is not possible to build a global addressing scheme for the deployment of a large number of sensor nodes as the overhead of ID maintenance is high. Thus they require careful resource management. This paper describes various routing protocols and their comparison and working of LEACH protocol and enhanced LEACH protocol. He was so striking to look at in fact, that all those whose eyes gazed upon him swore that he had been born from the very stardust that had shaped the universe; and that if any stared at his ethereal form for too long, they would surely go blind. Their testimony and our testimony centers around the Resurrection and the transformative power of Christ. Yet, what makes each testimony unique is God s unique plan for everyone s life. Existential Anxiety Via Self Preservation Essay Ashley Martinez Professor Steven Adisasmito Smith Modern World Literature 12 December 2016 Existential Anxiety via Self Preservation To a man utterly without a sense of belonging, mere life is all that matters. It is the only reality in an eternity of nothingness, and he clings to it with shameless despair. ― Eric Hoffer In its most basic definition, an existential crisis occurs when a person feels out of touch with their place in the world. They question why they are here as well as what determines their leaving. In Leo Tolstoy s Hadji Murat and Wole Soyinka s Death and the King s Horseman, two characters experience a similar reaction after failing to conform to societal expectations. For example, in Hadji Murat, the titular character s shifting allegiance depends on whatever is in the best interest of his family. He initially rejects his community leader s request for him to join the ghazavat or holy war against the Russians (Tolstoy 335 464). After this refusal, Hadji Murat pledges his allegiance to the latter whether he can actually be trusted or not is an entirely differently matter (Tolstoy 335 464). In Wole Soyinka s Death and the King s Horseman, we have Elesin Oba, a character who fails to follow his king in death because he still wishes to remain in the realm of the living (1049 1078). However, based on existential theory, their existential crises manifest themselves in four different ways. That being said, a closer

As he lives his daily life, Carroll, as a boy is expected to do heavy chores and to earn money for the family. Carroll operated the harrow, a heavy piece of strong wood in the form of the letter A . He performed this through the use of two oxen, but even then, it was very wearisome to perform this necessary but draining work. Generation after another, humans grew lazy and all the tasks performed before are replaced by machines that accomplish tasks ranging from the most difficult to the easiest. Carroll regrettably beat the poor oxen when the heavy harrow jerked, giving him a great shock to his slender arms. Renaissance Influence on the Historical and Social Significance of Self Portraiture During the Renaissance, artists were acquiring status and the technical means to create a new genre of art called self portraiture (Bond). Portraits are defined as having a likeness of a specific individual (Adams). However, self portraits do not only have a likeness of the artist but also a sense of psychology that connects the viewer to the artist. This connection gives the self portrait a depth of complexity that even portraits do not always achieve. Following the development of self portraiture, one must transverse the development of portraiture. Then one must follow self portraits connection to portraiture and self portraits own unique development. Then one must recognize the influence of the society on the value of the artist and their artworks. In order to understand the significance of the development of self portraiture, one must have some familiarity with the history of portraiture and its development as a whole. The strength of gravity is so strong due to the fact that an immense amount of matter has been contained in a small space. The existence of black holes was first theorized by John Mitchell in 1783. Mitchell accepted Newton s laws of gravity and suggested that light escaping from the surface of a star would have its speed reduced due to the gravitation pull of the star, and therefore if a star s gravitation pull was strong enough even light would not be able to escape.[1] Using the approximate speed of light he reasoned that if an object was approximately 500 times the mass of the sun light would not be able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As this matter spirals into the black hole it creates what is known as an accretion disk, which accelerates and heats up emitting X rays which can then be detected by astronomers.[6] Furthermore existence that black holes exist comes from the observations of astronomers of bursts of energy which are detected and then lost. An event horizon is an area of space around a black hole for which nothing can escape, once an object or any matter crosses this event horizon the gravity of the black hole will be too strong for it to escape. As a cloud of gas swirls and nears a black hole, the gases heat up and will emit x rays. Astronomers have observed instances of several burts of x rays being detected and then disappearing at areas where black holes are thought to be found. This may be caused by the gases emitting x rays and then crossing the event horizon and disappearing forever. The observations of these bursts of energy are useful for astronomers in finding black holes. Nuclear Power Essay example Since the end of the last century, the development of modern technology and science has played a significant role as measure to resolve energy crisis and global warming issues which resulted in life sustaining remedies and causes of mass destruction. However, many scientists agree that the earth s fossil fuel supplies are dramatically depleting and this challenge will be a meaningful hurdle for future generations. These include high cost of generating nuclear power, health effects of radiation and long term impact of radioactive waste on the environment as well as present its disadvantages and compare it to renewable energy sources of solar power and wind power. Public perception on nuclear energy is much influenced by subjective impressions mostly formed through sensational and dramatic news of mass media or anti nuclear groups. However, nuclear experts, those who have more relevant knowledge and information about nuclear energy, may have reasonable opinion based on scientific facts or inferences. Thus their opinion and consensus should be examined and taken into account during the process of nuclear energy policy formulation. For the purpose of eliciting experts opinion, the web based on line survey system (eBOSS) was developed. Using the survey system, experts views on nuclear energy were tallied, analyzed and compared with the public s. Based on the survey results, the paper suggests some recommendations about the future direction of the public information program in Korea. Advertising through Social Media Due to technological advancements and the mainstream culture of the United States, businesses are looking for more proficient ways to advertise and sell their goods to consumers. Since the internet and social media have taken off in popularity, consumers are noticing that social media can lead them to better sources for purchasing goods. Just as consumers are realizing the importance of social media, businesses have turned to using social media as a filter to reach their business and marketing goals. As the business environment changes, businesses are focusing on legal astuteness, alternative dispute resolutions and government regulation. These four components are: a set of value laden attitudes, context specific knowledge of the relevant law and the appropriate application of legal tools, the ability to exercise informed judgment, and a proactive approach. Ensuring a set of value laden attitudes ensures company growth and attainment. Within these attitudes, social media market managers understand that law is fundamental to a business s success. The film takes an interesting turn when Griet began to work more as the personal assistant of Johannes Vermeer than as the household maid. An ideological factor (which can also be an economical factor) of the film is that a maid should not be treated with the same respect as the owners of the house in which she serves. Also that the arrival of a new member in a family (in this case a maid) can cause problems such as jealousy. 10.In my opinion, a movie can help you understand better the historical events because when you read them in a book you are able to get information but you are not able to see the facts as they passed with your own eyes as you can do in a movie. Moreover, it is much easier to understand a movie than a book according to most of the people, but despites this, it is true that not everything that happens in a movie may be true because the directors are driven by what may be more interesting for viewers to see that what actually happened and that s why most of the people prefer to see a book if they want the reliably

During these past 7 months, I have gained so much love for someone I have never met before. Being 24 years old and becoming a mother has changed my views on life. Learning so much about caring for a newborn has brought on the thought of bottle feeding or breast feeding and trying to figure out which one is safer for his health. Children enter this world helpless, trying to understand their new environment and learning their new touch. Infants depend on the caring individuals around them, especially their mothers, to help them in their first few days of life to figure out the new aspect of life. It is the obligation of the parents to take care and nurture their newborn. Parents are to deliver for their children both through emotional needs as well as survival needs. One thing about caring for a newborn is needing to be fed through the means of milk. Formula bottle feeding or milk from the breast is a decision made by the mother and father over doing their research of the health of their child. As stated in Nancy E. Wright s article on the progression of breastfeeding, Aristotle said, There is a reason behind everything in nature. Certain incidences take place in nature that has effects or consequences to them. Choosing to breastfeed is a decision that new mothers make that requires sacrifice and hard work, yet has the prospective to be a very healthy food nutrient for infants.
  • 31. The Human Race Should Pursue A Policy Of Active Seti As debates rise over whether the human race should pursue a policy of active SETI, perhaps the discussion should spend some time deciding what messages humans should send into space. After all, the messages sent under a policy of active SETI would largely determine the results of the policy. The extreme importance of the content of the messages sent into space becomes clear when one considers how organisms on earthrespond to different initial signals. For instance, a human, when it sees a bee near, can either stand still, and let the bee go on its way (which would probably work), or the human can try and wave the bee away (which would most likely result in the bee stinging the human). In this case, the initial actions of the human result in two drastically different results. From this example, one can see how, before deciding if the earth should pursue active SETI, one must first understand what messages humans would send into space under a program of active SETI. To determine what the messages should contain, one must consider the audience. First, one must realize that if said extraterrestrials are as technologically advanced as humans, then they may have already noticed the waves humans have accidentally leaked into space (Shostak). If this type of extraterrestrial civilization exists, there are two main possibilities as to how they will react to a more direct form of advancement from the earth. The first option: the other civilization will ignore a direct advancement
