Transmission Control Protocols or TCP is among the key methods utilized in Internet Protocol Suites.
TCP has got two end systems, a web browser and a web server from which it operates. TCP provides
delivery of a stream of bytes from a program on one computer system to another. Internet Protocols
operate at a lower level compared to TCP. An IP is used for data transmission across a packet switched
internetwork. In X on and X off signals, the X means transmitter. These types of signals are used to
manage the movement of data between computer systems on an asynchronous serial connection. In X
on, the bit configuration is the keyboard blend of Ctrl Q and the Ctrl S combination is for X off. There
are two kinds of transmissions, parallel as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As discussed in Chapter 3, the connectionless environment (which includes
X.25 networks, the public Internet, private IP based backbones, and LANs) can be likened to the
postal service, in which a message is relayed from point to point, with each relay getting one step
closer to its ultimate destination. In a connectionless environment, each packet of a message is an
independent unit that contains the source and destination address. Each packet is independently routed
at each intermediate node it crosses. The more hops it goes through, the greater the accumulated
delays, which greatly affects delay sensitive applications, including any form of real time voice, real
time audio, real time video, video on demand, and streaming media. But connectionless environments
can work around problems, which is why they were so strong in the early days, when there were
frequent system failures and links that were too noisy to perform correctly. Connectionless packets
could circumvent system failures or noisy conditions and still meet at the
destination point with high integrity. The connectionless environment offered the flexibility of routing
around problem areas, but at the risk of greater overhead associated with the overall transmission
because addressing had to be included in each packet, and also at the risk of greater delays because
each packet had to be independently routed. Features of IP
IP was designed to work in the LAN world. It is a

The Fenway Park And The RMS Titanic
1912 was an influential year, when many notable events happened. The Girl Scouts of America was
founded, Fenway Park opened, but one event is still influential over a hundred years later. No other
shipwreck had such an enduring imprint upon the public consciousness that impacted many aspects of
maritime law as well as the monetary impact this incident had upon families, companies, and the
financial market. The luxury steamship RMS Titanic was the second of three Olympic class ocean
liners that were owned and operated by the White Star Line. The White Star Line company
commissioned the building of the RMS Titanic to Harland and Wolff shipyard on the Queen s Island in
Belfast, Ireland. Harland and Wolff shipyard were commissioned to build the largest ship at the time.
Measuring in at 269.1 meters the titanic was the largest ship built at the time, as well as it was the
longest it was also the most expensive. $7,500,000 was the cost The White Star Line paid for the RMS
Titanic to be constructed and completely furnished. HISTORY keeps an accurate account of all
historical events, including the Titanic, which include much of the known History of the titanic. The
RMS Titanic was equipped to carry a 3,547 people at full capacity, which would have included all
passengers and crew aboard. With a high passenger capacity, the RMS Titanic was equipped to carry
64 lifeboats, each lifeboat was able to carry 65 people. Since the Titanic was made of steel the

Our Town Analysis Essay
Our Town is a play that takes place near the turn of the century in the small rural town of Grover
amp;#8217;s Corners, New Hampshire. The playwright, Thornton Wilder is trying to convey the
importance of the little, often unnoticed things in life. Throughout the first two acts he builds a
scenario, which allows the third act to show that we as humans often run through life oblivious to
what is actually happening. Wilder attempts to show life as something that we take for granted. We do
not realize the true value of living until we are dead and gone. The through line of the action seems to
be attention to the details of life. Wilder builds up a plot that pays attention to great details of living.
In the first act when Mrs. Gibbs and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The play makes you think, whether for a split moment or a long time, about the idea of being aware
while going about even the most menial of tasks.
While at the funeral, the living members of the cast all have umbrellas above their heads. The dead
members sit in chairs imitating graves, and are rained upon. The symbolism represented by the
umbrellas could be that the living are sheltered from the light of reality and importance. Only when
you are dead do you notice that there was more to it, and the umbrella that you held while it was
raining is taken away, allowing you to be opened up to a whole new light of realization.

5 Ages of Hospitality
HM 1800 | The Five Ages Of Tourism | |
Introduction: The 5 Ages of Tourism In our current era, travel requires nothing more than a computer
and a couple hundred dollars in the bank. Anyone can simply get on a computer and buy a ticket for
the next day to go anywhere in the world he or she wants. Travel has never been faster or more
convenient as it is today, and that convenience is what leads to tourism. Tourism is the largest industry
in the world when all of its subgroups are combined; it is difficult to come up with one definition for
tourism, but it can be looked at as: The commercial organization and operation of vacations and visits
to places of interest, or as listed by the World Tourism Organization: a ... Show more content on

Ford s invention the assembly line made it possible for him to mass produce Model T at a cheap rate.
In 1908 the first Model T debuted at $825, and 4 years later dropped to 575. These extremely
economical prices turned the automobile from a luxury item to a staple in American society. People
were now allowed to travel at will anywhere they wanted, perpetuating the tourism industry more than
any other age. Road side Inns, resorts and attractions specifically for tourist increased tremendously
after the mass ownership of automobiles. After conquering all forms of ground travel, man had some
ambitions to take to the sky, thus came the Jet Aircraft Age. Wilbur and Orville Right were the first
people to take flight, but their invention was not directly correlated with the commercial flight seen
today. Two engineers, Frank Whittle of the United Kingdom and Hans von Ohain of Germany,
developed the jet engine during the late 1930s. The first jet engine powered commercial airliner was
introduced by the British Overseas Aircraft Corporation (BOAC); the 36 seat plane named Comet,
flew for the first time on July 27, 1949. With the invention of jet aircrafts, exotic resorts can be made
accessible, business can be made international, and cheap rates make it easy for the average citizens to
explore the world. The last and most recent travel development is The Cruise Ship Age. Modern

Ancient Greek Olympic Games
Deidre Brown
Ancient Greek Olympic Games Well, there won t be any oxen dying in this year s games. Many years
ago, in 776 B.C., the first Olympic Games took place in Olympia, Greece. The Greeks made the
games in honor of their head God, the god of the sky, The Almighty Zeus. These games continued for
nearly 12 centuries until the emperor of Rome, Theodosius, stated that the games were banned in 393
A.D. While the Olympics have changed over many years, most rituals have stayed the same.
The Olympic Games had many rituals they followed every game. When you win a game, you will
receive an olive branch instead of a gold medal like in today s games. The olive branch was said to be
took off a tree that was planted by Hercules, the son of Zeus. The games were held every four years,
the same as today. On the first day, the Greeks would kill 100 oxen as a sacrifice to their God Zeus.
These oxen would later be eaten, on the final day, by all of the participants in the games. ... Show

My Neighborhood
When I tell other students from New York City that I live in Bensonhurst, they often tell me they have
never heard of it. Often, I have never heard of the neighborhood they live in, even though we all live
in the same city. I think we all live in and interact in our respective bubbles, and besides the periods
we spend at work or school, we tend to keep ourselves exclusive to people outside of them. There is
nothing wrong with being selective with who you interact with, but those self isolating behaviors
encourage ignorance, especially during periods of rapid change in the neighborhood.
My neighborhood is actually very aesthetically pleasing. The name of my neighborhood, Bensonhurst,
is actually shortened from Bensonhurst by the Sea, which is what a developer named the resort
neighborhood in order to sell more beachfront property. The aforementioned sea is the Atlantic Ocean,
though the sandy bay almost every avenue in the neighborhood has in its street name (e.g. Bay
Parkway) has been paved over to make roads and sidewalks (Frishberg). Still, there are remnants of its
coastal retreat past; there are benches, trees, walkways, and parks right near the ocean. There are also
playgrounds by every elementary school, and a city park or green space if there are no elementary
schools right nearby. Backyards, privately owned plots of nature, also play an important role in my
community. Most families in my neighborhood have backyards, front yards, or both, and place value

Existentialism As A World View
I read what I thought was an obscure cartoon depicting a figurative situation where every person in the
world is born with a hole in the center of their chest. The cartoon progresses through a series of
examples where people fit objects and ideas into that hole before arriving at someone who decided to
just leave the hole empty. The empty holed person claimed that he found out if you run against the
wind at just the right angle, it makes a whistling noise (Document 3). Interestingly enough, the cartoon
sums up, at least superficially, how I view Existentialism as a world view. Rejecting the social
institutions that cover up the realities of the world, Existentialism calls for the developing of
individual values based on what the follower feels is important in his or her life. Just as the empty
holed person refuses to follow the others in filling the hole, the Existentialist chooses not to surround
him or herself with religion, political ideologies or meaning for the world as many others do. As a
world view, Existentialism is both practical and necessary because it provides those who subscribe to
it the means to shape their own values in a meaningless world rather than blanketing themselves with
the delusions created by social institutions that falsely provide such meanings.
As a philosophy, Existentialism can be quite technical. Much of the theory involves generalized
abstract concepts that seem difficult to implement in real life. In practice, however, Existentialism

Is Race Biologically Real Essay
Is Race Biologically Real? People often use the meaning of race like a sticker; race is defined by skin
color, eyes and body shape, hair texture and facial features. However, there are no genetic markers
which will prove that one race is different than another. The concept of race isn t biologically real but
race it s a method to divide a group from another one. Race doesn t have any genetic basis. There is no
genetic characteristic such as; gene or feature to tell the differences between humans. In other words,
the race isn t biologically real because there is no scientific evidence which can prove that race is
biologically real because there is no genetic markers evidence which cannot be denoted that one
particular group is different than other.
To illustrate, in the lab class according to the Race: The Power of an Illusion generally speaking about

status. We are all one race because we are very similar to each other. The scientists could not find any
explanation or DNA evidence to convince us that there are differences between races group of people,
therefore biological race is not real which leads people to the conclusion that is just a myth. Human
variation is very complex we aren t alike; different hair texture, eye shape, and skin color but we are
one race. Racism takes potentially an idea of race because it is used to separate one group from other;
even if we don t share the same languages, customs or cultures we aren t that diverse human

Comparing The Book Cruel And Unusual
Do you enjoy crime solving books? The book Cruel and Unusual by Patricia Cornwell was published
by pocket star books and was published in 1993. It is 409 pages long. The book starts off when the
Chief Medical Examiner, named Kay Scarpetta, walks into an autopsy of a murderer named Ronnie
Waddell who just got executed. A little bit after the execution a little boy is killed the same way that
Wadell killed people. Waddell s DNA was found near the body. One of Kay s old FBI friends, Benton

Ronnie Waddell can murder a little boy. I think that Cruel and Unusual was very interesting and

Ideal Utopia Research Paper
There are two things that operate this world: order and production. The world runs smoothest when
these two things are at their maximums. Thus, an ideal utopia would include methods to facilitate
work as well as to ensure societal integrity. These goals can be reached through the adoption of
artificial intelligence, the development of a fiscal military state, and the conservation of goods,
resources, and energy. The critical issue in human societies is the lack of efficient management. This
stems from corruption, ignorance, deceit, complacency, laziness, and indifference. Confirmation bias
has the potential to wreak havoc on groups of people, because everyone knows that there is nothing
worse than being wrong. Humans are apt to make errors, and over long periods of time these errors
accumulate and compound into irreparable mistakes. Consequently, it is impossible for humans to ever
govern a utopia. Machines, however, are not prone to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Conservation seems to contradict my previous statements on the military industrial complex, but in
fact they go hand in hand. By stressing conservation, consumer demand can be artificially augmented,
thus putting a larger emphasis on production. For instance, if a ration were put on eggs and butter
(despite there being no shortage of those products), the price of those items would increase. However,
in reality, there is really a surplus of eggs and butter, which at any point could flood the market, drive
prices into the ground, and teach people a valuable lesson on why eggs and butter should not be
trusted. As a result, the illusion of a lack of resources is just as powerful as not actually having those
goods. In relation to the military, it is possible to artificially keep the demand for robots high in spite
of a surplus of fighting drones. This is necessary if production is to

Metamorphosis, By Franz Kafka
Society can be cruel to people who do not fit in and art can help to break the pain. Metamorphosis, by
Franz Kafka, is a reflection of his unsettled relationship with his family and society. Franz Kafka
creates a hideous creature, a monstrous insect, to show how he feels in his reality. Gregor, in
Metamorphosis, is a tool for Kafka to psychoanalyze his perceived deficiency in society and
communicate his contemplations on his meaning in life.
Franz Kafka s estrangement from his family and society started early in his life. Franz Kafka was born
on the third of July, 1883 in Prague. Kafka was the oldest child with three younger sisters and two
brothers that died as infants. Prague was home to Czech people but at that time was controlled by the
Austro Hungarian Empire. Kafka grew up in a German speaking Jewish family. Not many German
Jews lived in Czech at that time and this alone may have played a part in his separation from society.
He was also not very involved with Judaism. He knew all the Jewish customs but later considered
himself a socialist atheist (Price, par. 4). Kafka s first language was Czech but after the age of six he
went to a German speaking school and he became more fluent in the German language. Franz Kafka s
father, Herman Kafka, was a wealthy merchant and was very repressive of Franz. Kafka s mother Julie
Lowy Kafka was not able to protect him from his father. She proved unable to mediate the
estrangement between her brusque dominating husband and her

A Child s Purity: Further from Death, but Closer to Heaven.
Throughout the recorded history of the Christian religion, countless writings, both canonical and non
canonical, have been discovered and translated. As is the issue with most religious texts, scholars
fiercely engage each other s interpretations and opinions regarding these texts. The Gospel of Thomas
is no different. Considered Gnostic by some and canon by others, the Gospel of Thomas is a collection
of sayings that were spoken by the living Jesus, and recorded by Didymos Judas Thomas. Throughout
the length of the text, there are a number of common themes; the most notable being the idea that the
people look to Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Satiating the lust of the flesh is frowned heavily upon in most religions. Because Adam and Eve gave
into this temptation, all humans are born with some semblance of the original sin. However, the blank
slate nature of a child is as close to perfect as one can hope to be. Many of Jesus s sayings in the
Gospel of Thomas suggest that children, babies in particular, have everything they need to be almost
perfect; for they are born with that of the light of the Father, and therefore hold some divinity (Litwa,
2015). Jesus tells his disciples that circumcision is not useful, for if it was, the Father would have
made babies circumcised. Jesus says congratulations to the poor and the meek, for the Heaven s
Kingdom shall belong to them. A child a baby is nothing if it is not poor and meek. A child has done
nothing, earned nothing, and truly cannot be anything other than poor, and meek. It is with age, and
sin, that a child loses their sight of the path to Heaven. At several points in the text, Jesus talks about
the intrinsic war between father and son, and the necessary hatred for one s parents. It is entirely
possible that Jesus could be describing the struggle that a good child faces in attempting to separate
themselves from their parents, who have become old and deep in sin. Jesus speaks of an anecdote
about a slave being unable to sever two masters, for he would be

Manifest Destiny Research Paper
Because of Manifest Destiny the United States faced potential wars and a great deal of inequality.
Although it did have a few positive impacts, it mostly effected the country negatively. While Manifest
Destiny brought the U.S. expansion along with immigration, it created inequity and promoted war
which were not reasonable consequences for the countries progression.
Those who heavily influenced the idea of Manifest Destiny like John O Sullivan, who also created it,
said that it was what God wanted and therefore it was acceptable to do whatever was needed for the
U.S. to obtain more land. O Sullivan opted for a war of conquest against Mexico. Although the U.S.
was able to acquire California and New Mexico through this act, it was not a valid reason to invade
Mexican territory and purloin land that did not belong to the United States. Along with O Sullivan,

In the article Manifest Destiny: An Introduction the author says It excluded those people who were
percieved as being incapable of self government, such as Native American people and those of non

practically ignored and viewed as unimportant which gave them less rights than everyone else. The
article by Thomas Hietala states that leaders and private groups continued to seek more land from
Native Americans, Central American countries and European governments. This is another example of
inequality because Americans tried to take land from those who were seen as lesser than them so they
could have more for themselves and leave Natives, Central Americans and Europeans with nothing.
Manifest Destiny was not an acceptable excuse to take land and rights from people because they
weren t considered fully American and therefore just gave the government an excuse to control those

Essay On Odysseus
For the Ancient Greeks, Odysseus was seen as a great hero. Also known as Ulysses to the Romans,

to his intelligence, his capabilities, and how the ancient beliefs of heroism distinguished him.
Odysseus intellect helped create a hero image for the Ancient Greeks.Throughout the story Odysseus

Odysseus fit perfectly to the early ideas of the heroic. The Ancient Greeks believed heroes to be
honorable, noble, strong, and intelligent. Odysseus showed these qualities when Calypso offered him
the chance to be immortal. Though the offer tempted him, Odysseus declined. The fact that Odysseus
declined something that most people would kill for, shows he is honorable and loyal to his family. It
shows he would rather go back to Penelope and Telemachus, the people that need him, rather than stay
alive forever with a bewitching nymph . In addition, Odysseus followed many of the qualifications the
Ancient Greeks had for war and glory within heroism. Ancienthistory.abc clio.com states, the Odyssey

Back then when couples had babies they didn t have very much details on that child, but now they
have better technology to gather more information. During the war effort in World War II women and
men but mostly women contributed to the war in many ways. Some women raised money for the war
and collected clothes for soldiers. The women would find clothing and rubber and other things to help
the men who were in the war be successful. By making waterways people now had a new way of
getting around. Some people didn t believe that train technology would ever work, but however over
some time the railroads were stable enough for citizens to ride to get somewhere safely and it became
quite popular. The Americans got around is by using boats, streetcars, trains, cars, bicycles,

The French Revolution Of 1848 Research Paper
When viewing significant landmarks in history often one looks at extravagant architectural marvels
where important events took place looking past the streets where history is written in blood. The June
Days of the French Revolution of 1848 tells such a history where lawlessness, rebellion, and economic
depression culminated in an uprising in Paris that divided the city between insurgents and loyalists.
Thus the streets were a key battleground in the June Days and French Revolution of 1848 dictating the
conflict s outcome and serving a variety of interests. Their significance to the French Revolution of
1848 is further evident in their systematic eradication under Louis Napoleon Bonaparte and Georges
Eugène Haussmann. The roots of the June ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The election of Louis Napoleon Bonaparte as president ended the French Revolution of 1848 and
signified a new direction for France. However, Napoleon eager not to forgot the lessons of June Days
commissioned a massive renovation campaign of Paris headed by Georges Eugène Haussmann.
Haussmann expanded the streets and created boulevards as to arguably make the streets much more
difficult to barricade. Many of the small narrow streets and residential buildings of the inner city as a
result were destroyed to make way for Haussmann s wide boulevards. Thousands of people were
forced to relocate to the outer edges of the city. This is important because it ensured that a revolt like
the June Days would be much more difficult in the future if possible at all. Napoleon s efforts to
destroy the inner city neighborhoods and streets further legitimizes their significance in the French

Choosing A Career At Young Age
Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life´s coming attractions. (Albert Einstein) Choosing a
career at young age expands the imagination in one´s mind. At the age of five, my imagination was
expanding because that was all I thought about. Growing up to me meant there would be plenty of
responsibilities that would have to be taken care of. This is something that our parents teach us while
growing up. What is more important of those teachings is the significance. If you can pursue any
career path, then do it without the ideas of others. This is what I did. The actions of others affect your
thoughts. My elementary and middle school years changed my perspective of how my life would be
while growing up. I experienced bullying and behaviors that left me surprised. There were careless
teachers, rude comments of how I would grow up to be, and the words, You will never be good
enough unspoken, but still meant. I would just think this was normal, but it would continue for years.
Then bad things turn for the good. I was given the opportunity to start over by going to a new school.
There I was exposed to the career of Criminal Justice. This is where I had my mind set. The past years
of bullying affected my way of making decisions. I felt like I had to run my decisions through
somebody. That somebody were my parents. Each one of our parents dream of their child´s future, so I
was hoping we both had the same thoughts. After being at my new school for one year, I

Essay about Biblical Imagery in the Story of Rapunzel
Biblical Imagery in the Story of Rapunzel
Ostensibly, the story of Rapunzel is the tale of a young girl, locked up in a tower by a wicked witch,
the real concern of the story, however, being lust and the dangers it represents to girls as they enter the
rites of passage of puberty. Symbolism pervades the story of Rapunzel , as in all fairy tales, giving rise
to diverse interpretations. While a great deal of the symbolism is commonly found in fairy tales, the
Grimm s infuse the tale of Rapunzel with much from the biblical stories with which their audience
would most likely be familiar. In the final version of Rapunzel, the Grimms add a moral message,
based primarily on stories taken from the Bible, in order to demonstrate the ... Show more content on

Within the collection of stories as a whole, the brothers took pains to delete every phrase unsuitable
for children...hoping that their collection could serve as a manual of manners (Tatar 19). Most
significantly, the Grimms eliminated erotic and sexual elements...added numerous Christian
expressions and references, [and] emphasized specific role models for male and female protagonists
according to the dominant patriarchal code of that time (Zipes, Dreams 74).
Rapunzel itself is the classic story of a mother s attempt to protect her young daughter from the
dangers she must face in order to successfully navigate the rites of passage of puberty. The Grimms
version of Rapunzel also presents a strong moral message to young women in order to maintain the
patriarchal nature and moral code of 19th century Germany. The question which most Grimms tales
ask is: how can one learn what must one do to use one s powers rightly in order to be accepted in
society or recreate society in keeping with the norms of the status quo? (Zipes, Fairy 57). The Grimms
story of Rapunzel is no different, answering this question by looking to, among other sources, the
Bible.
Many biblical references pervade the story of Rapunzel, beginning with a man and wife [who] long
wished in vain for a child (Hallett 67). Anyone familiar

Shaping My Identity
In one s life, there are many core memories that make up who a person is and many life changing
events or people that help shape your identity. At the time, one might not realize how much someone
changed their life, or how an event completely changed them as a person, but in the end, one will be
truly grateful for the events and people who helped them become who they are; just as I am. The day I
met my best friend changed a lot of aspects of my life and helped shape my identity. We met at
basketball practice over Thanksgiving break this past year, and we had never talked before because I
was scared that I would not be funny enough or she would think I was not popular enough. Then, one

people say about me bother me. She reminds me everyday of the strength I have and that has made me
more confident. This has shaped my indentity because I am now stronger than I ever would have been
without meeting her. Also, I know the capabilities I have that can inspire others. I never used to reach

would not have realized those things if I had never met her. I also know that part of my identity is
helping others onto the path of success, and that is something that I will not stop doing because it is

Why Canada Entered Into Trade Agreement With United States
The term trade can defined as the movement of goods and consumables across the boundaries of the
two regions in order to promote the access to items which are distinct in one region but surplus in the
other. The international trade is as old as the history of mankind. Earlier when there was no concept of
countries, the trade simply meant the movement of goods to far distant places. As soon as man
realized that an access is needed to items that are not available in his region, he travelled and found
them abroad. Now the difficulty was to gain control over those items while maintaining peace. This
was how, the term barter and trade came into existence and people started to enter into agreements to
transfer goods for goods or goods for money. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main reason for such a strong opposition was supported by the belief of the opposition that
Canada will lose its internal autonomy and become one of the US s 51st state . They also had the
concern that such an agreement will demolish their personal interests with regard to the foreign
policies and other existing trade agreements with other countries.
As every step taken by a government is to ensure the well being of its nation and the prosperity of the
country, Canada was pushed by the same driving force to make a trade deal with US. Since the
primary purpose and advantage offered by a free trade agreement is to exploit the no tariff trade, it
was not the goal of Canadian government while seeking this agreement. The trade tariffs were already
very low, around 1% of the total value of the trade, then a question arises that what Canadian
government was aiming for.
It was the vast economy of the American market which was the target of Canadian government.
Canada desired to get an unrestricted access to the vast economy of US. While on the other side, US
were aiming to get cheap access to the cultural industries as well Energy sector of Canada. This is the
basic essence of a trading relationship where the interests of every party is respected and agreed upon.
According to an estimate, almost 70% of the Canadian export takes place to US markets and similarly,
almost 70% of its imports are from

The Inferno By Dante And The Allegory Of The Cave
The significance and connotation of light seems to be driven by its relation to truth. Truth is some
thing that has been debated since the beginning of human thought. Even in western philosophy alone,
the meaning of light has changed, creating a one to question the sole symbol light can act as. Plato s
argument equates truth to light, while Dante s argument equates God to light. Dante argues that the
light is guiding, rather than definite. Through these two examples, I will show that light symbolizing
the equivalent of truth or searching for truth yields problems. To support my claim, I will look at The
Inferno by Dante and The Allegory of the Cave by Plato, whose interpretations of light appear to work
well with one another. First, I will analyze the significance of in a non religious context. Second, I will
analyze the significance of in a religious context. Thirdly, I will show why this metaphor of light yield
problems for the viewer of light.
In Plato s Allegory of the Cave, light represents a definitive truth. After seeing the form of the good ,
in the physical world, light is produced, paralleling, in the mental world, truth and understanding is
produced (Plato 211). Since seeing the light is only obtained seeing the Truth, Plato regards light as an
end rather than a means to find a higher truth. This light in The Allegory of the Cave prevents humans
from behaving awkwardly and appearing completely ridiculous (Plato 211). Plato argues that the light

The Lease And Marketing Plan

The lease and marketing plan failed to expand office space and attract new clients, Butterfly had cash
flow problems and sold to Xco Ltd, Consequently, Butterfly can sue promoters for the recession of the
contracts or damages. In this case, there is five person involved John, Paula, George, Robyn and
Brian. Generally, Emma Silver Mining s case defines a person who is involved in the creation of a
new company is a promoter. John, Paula, George and Robyn undertook mining project, shared the
rental cost and sometimes referred clients, i.e.: they are promoters as they took active parts in the
formation of a company and generated the necessary share capital to carry on business. For Brian, an
accountant providing tax service, does not act purely in his professional captivity and he agreed to
purchase some non voting shares of Butterfly. This makes him take an inactive position in Butterfly
but can receive dividends. The similar facts in Mandalay s case, RSC leaves the project to Mandalay
and also gets profit from the operation, therefore Brian is a promoter, too. In summary, John, Paula,
George, Robyn and Brian, as Butterfly s promoters, automatically establish a fiduciary relationship
with Butterfly.
Issue 2: do promoters owe fiduciary duties to Butterfly? If breached fiduciary duties, who will be
liable for entering into the lease and marketing contracts?

Disadvantages Of Event Driven Programming
Event Driven Programming:
Introduction:
There are several up to date programming languages are event driven, by means of this is a method
that works fine with computers using GUI operating systems such as Windows. This kind of
programming uses events, actions such as a clicking on a button or moving the mouse pointer over an
object as the activate to run the suitable code handler, although, as the old style of user interface
design, every so often called flow driven, only in progress from one point at the start of the code.
Event Driven programs are characteristically used with GUI operating systems, as events are created
when the operator clicks the mouse on a key button or other item.

VB does event handling role for you, and in detail, the first time code will perform in VB is an answer
to such as an event!
The other main thought that VB has combined is the idea of an objects. Objects delivers a method to
connect code and data into a set in this method as to create handling and saving the code / data more
automatically. Visual Basic forms are objects, set menus are objects, and the so are the inherent VB
controls.
History and Advantages of Visual Basic:
Visual Basic was first presented in 1991 by Microsoft. In 1993, as VB version 3 completed itself
accessible, Visual Basic been the 1st priority of all windows based programming languages.
Visual Basic always stay the superior language for the programmer because VB delivers more defined
code for a computer programmer than any other non visual programming language.
In other programming languages, maximum programmers had to write the code for the whole
application user interface. In these days Windows, buttons, lists, Boxes and additional application
structures such as set menu were not built in to the command line programming language.

Trail Of Tears Essay
Trail of Tears The Trail of Tears is a name given to the Cleansing and forced relocation of Native
American nations from Southeastern parts of United States following the Indian Removal Act of 1830.
The phrase originated from a description of removal of the Choctaw Nation in 1831. We Cherokee
Indians have lived in our lands for centuries. The white setters forcefully came into our world and had
an eye on our land to grow cotton and other crops. First they wanted to civilize us and save our souls
by converting us to Christianity. Many of our people tried to comply, but they thought of us as alien
people and looked down upon us. The Choctaw, the Chickasaw, the Cherokee, the Muscogee, and the
Seminole (collectively called the Five Civilized Tribes) were living as autonomous nations in what
could be called to the American Deep South. They initially started harassing us by stealing livestock,
burning and looting our houses and squatting on our land which did not belong to them. The land they
coveted was the east of Mississippi as this land was valuable for growing cotton. Several state
governments passed laws limiting Native American sovereignty and rights, even though US Supreme
Court affirmed our nation to be sovereign in the case of Worcester v. Georgia (1832). In Cherokee
Nation v. Georgia (1831), the Supreme Court ruled the Cherokee nation was not sovereign and
independent nation, and even refused to hear the case. Tensions between Georgia and

The Four Humors And Their Influence Through Time
The Four Humors and Their Influence Through Time Greek Antiquity was a time of some of the
greatest minds of all time, such as Plato and Aristotle, leading to many inventions and ideas that are
still relevant today, from hydraulics to astronomy. One of the most influential realizations, however,
came from the mind of a man named Hippocrates, as he began the real start of the practice of
medicine. Hippocrates of Cos, a physician in ancient Greece, is considered to be the father of
medicine due to his many contributions to the field in his life. Through research and different
experiments he was able to conclude many different principles, including on of the most important:
the four humors. By observing reactions to different illnesses, sometimes leading the patient to die, he
was able to develop the theory. His theory of the four humors was that the human body was filled with
four basic substances, or humors, that when in balance indicate the person is healthy. If there was too
little or too much of one of the four, a disease or disability would result. The four humors of
Hippocratic medicine are black bile, yellow bile, blood, and phlegm. Before the humors were
introduced, many people believed that the source of illness was punishment from the Gods. It wasn t
until after Hippocrates introduction to medicine that the field stepped away from religion and into
science. The introduction of the four humors led to a continuing line of thought up until the nineteenth

followed by every sort of creature within the community of life, sharks as well as sheep, killer bees as
well as butterflies, you may compete to the full extent of your capabilities, but you may not hunt down
your competitors or destroy their food or deny them access to food. In other words, you may compete,

Why totalitarian agriculture? You got me. It is really hard to knock Totalitarian Agriculture since it is
the foundation of our culture and the sustenance of our lives. If Totalitarian Agriculture were to
disappear tomorrow, then our culture would be obliterated by starvation. This is not so for the
remaining tribal peoples of the world. They are fully well capable of surviving on their own just the
same as humans have been since there were humans. Thinking about this further made me think about
the reasons for adopting this practice. Our culture practices working to grow and produce food,
locking it up, and then forcing people to pay to get it. before the agricultural revolution 10,000 years
ago, humans had been living successfully as hunter gatherers for a hundred thousand years, so asked
myself what was the reason for this sudden mind change to the practice of Totalitarian Agriculture?
One answer is due to the vast amounts of food surpluses that are created with totalitarian agriculture.
This is part of the answer to the next reason for totalitarian agriculture, which is power and expansion.
The founders of totalitarian agriculture thought that their way to live was the one right way for all
humans to live. These vast surpluses of food enabled this culture to expand into surrounding territories
near the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and use force to take the land from tribal peoples. So now, the
first generations of our culture putting

Essay On The Causes Of Obesity In America
American s are suffering from an epidemic today called obesity. Contributors to the obesity problem
are overly large portions of food served to Americans. Also, a lack of physical activity adds to obesity,
spending hours in front of a television or computer. Advertisements contribute to Americans over
weight problems by pushing high calorie high fat foods. Major health problems caused by obesity are
high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.
First, obesity can cause high blood pressure in Americans. Overweight individuals are more likely to
develop high blood pressure than individuals with average weight. The added fat tissue in the body
creates a need for additional blood to circulate through the body. As a result, of this added blood flow
there is extra pressure on the artery walls of the heart. With this higher pressure on the artery walls a
person s blood pressure rises. Since, there is increased pressure on the heart it causes the heart to grow
larger. When the heart grows larger, it loses some of its ability to squeeze blood through the heart
valves. So, this extra weight impedes the body s ability to transport blood through the blood vessels. ...

  • 2. Indp 2 Transmission Control Protocols or TCP is among the key methods utilized in Internet Protocol Suites. TCP has got two end systems, a web browser and a web server from which it operates. TCP provides delivery of a stream of bytes from a program on one computer system to another. Internet Protocols operate at a lower level compared to TCP. An IP is used for data transmission across a packet switched internetwork. In X on and X off signals, the X means transmitter. These types of signals are used to manage the movement of data between computer systems on an asynchronous serial connection. In X on, the bit configuration is the keyboard blend of Ctrl Q and the Ctrl S combination is for X off. There are two kinds of transmissions, parallel as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As discussed in Chapter 3, the connectionless environment (which includes X.25 networks, the public Internet, private IP based backbones, and LANs) can be likened to the postal service, in which a message is relayed from point to point, with each relay getting one step closer to its ultimate destination. In a connectionless environment, each packet of a message is an independent unit that contains the source and destination address. Each packet is independently routed at each intermediate node it crosses. The more hops it goes through, the greater the accumulated delays, which greatly affects delay sensitive applications, including any form of real time voice, real time audio, real time video, video on demand, and streaming media. But connectionless environments can work around problems, which is why they were so strong in the early days, when there were frequent system failures and links that were too noisy to perform correctly. Connectionless packets could circumvent system failures or noisy conditions and still meet at the destination point with high integrity. The connectionless environment offered the flexibility of routing around problem areas, but at the risk of greater overhead associated with the overall transmission because addressing had to be included in each packet, and also at the risk of greater delays because each packet had to be independently routed. Features of IP IP was designed to work in the LAN world. It is a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Our Town Analysis Essay Our Town is a play that takes place near the turn of the century in the small rural town of Grover amp;#8217;s Corners, New Hampshire. The playwright, Thornton Wilder is trying to convey the importance of the little, often unnoticed things in life. Throughout the first two acts he builds a scenario, which allows the third act to show that we as humans often run through life oblivious to what is actually happening. Wilder attempts to show life as something that we take for granted. We do not realize the true value of living until we are dead and gone. The through line of the action seems to be attention to the details of life. Wilder builds up a plot that pays attention to great details of living. In the first act when Mrs. Gibbs and ... While at the funeral, the living members of the cast all have umbrellas above their heads. The dead members sit in chairs imitating graves, and are rained upon. The symbolism represented by the umbrellas could be that the living are sheltered from the light of reality and importance. Only when you are dead do you notice that there was more to it, and the umbrella that you held while it was raining is taken away, allowing you to be opened up to a whole new light of realization. • 6. 5 Ages of Hospitality HM 1800 | The Five Ages Of Tourism | | Introduction: The 5 Ages of Tourism In our current era, travel requires nothing more than a computer and a couple hundred dollars in the bank. Anyone can simply get on a computer and buy a ticket for the next day to go anywhere in the world he or she wants. Travel has never been faster or more convenient as it is today, and that convenience is what leads to tourism. Tourism is the largest industry in the world when all of its subgroups are combined; it is difficult to come up with one definition for tourism, but it can be looked at as: The commercial organization and operation of vacations and visits to places of interest, or as listed by the World Tourism Organization: a ... In 1908 the first Model T debuted at $825, and 4 years later dropped to 575. These extremely economical prices turned the automobile from a luxury item to a staple in American society. People were now allowed to travel at will anywhere they wanted, perpetuating the tourism industry more than any other age. Road side Inns, resorts and attractions specifically for tourist increased tremendously after the mass ownership of automobiles. After conquering all forms of ground travel, man had some ambitions to take to the sky, thus came the Jet Aircraft Age. Wilbur and Orville Right were the first people to take flight, but their invention was not directly correlated with the commercial flight seen today. Two engineers, Frank Whittle of the United Kingdom and Hans von Ohain of Germany, developed the jet engine during the late 1930s. The first jet engine powered commercial airliner was introduced by the British Overseas Aircraft Corporation (BOAC); the 36 seat plane named Comet, flew for the first time on July 27, 1949. With the invention of jet aircrafts, exotic resorts can be made accessible, business can be made international, and cheap rates make it easy for the average citizens to explore the world. • 7. Ancient Greek Olympic Games Deidre Brown Ancient Greek Olympic Games Well, there won t be any oxen dying in this year s games. Many years ago, in 776 B.C., the first Olympic Games took place in Olympia, Greece. The Greeks made the games in honor of their head God, the god of the sky, The Almighty Zeus. These games continued for nearly 12 centuries until the emperor of Rome, Theodosius, stated that the games were banned in 393 A.D. While the Olympics have changed over many years, most rituals have stayed the same. The Olympic Games had many rituals they followed every game. When you win a game, you will receive an olive branch instead of a gold medal like in today s games. The olive branch was said to be took off a tree that was planted by Hercules, the son of Zeus. The games were held every four years, the same as today. On the first day, the Greeks would kill 100 oxen as a sacrifice to their God Zeus. • 8. My Neighborhood When I tell other students from New York City that I live in Bensonhurst, they often tell me they have never heard of it. Often, I have never heard of the neighborhood they live in, even though we all live in the same city. I think we all live in and interact in our respective bubbles, and besides the periods we spend at work or school, we tend to keep ourselves exclusive to people outside of them. There is nothing wrong with being selective with who you interact with, but those self isolating behaviors encourage ignorance, especially during periods of rapid change in the neighborhood. My neighborhood is actually very aesthetically pleasing. The name of my neighborhood, Bensonhurst, is actually shortened from Bensonhurst by the Sea, which is what a developer named the resort neighborhood in order to sell more beachfront property. The aforementioned sea is the Atlantic Ocean, though the sandy bay almost every avenue in the neighborhood has in its street name (e.g. Bay Parkway) has been paved over to make roads and sidewalks (Frishberg). Still, there are remnants of its coastal retreat past; there are benches, trees, walkways, and parks right near the ocean. There are also playgrounds by every elementary school, and a city park or green space if there are no elementary schools right nearby. Backyards, privately owned plots of nature, also play an important role in my community. Most families in my neighborhood have backyards, front yards, or both, and place value in ... • 9. Existentialism As A World View I read what I thought was an obscure cartoon depicting a figurative situation where every person in the world is born with a hole in the center of their chest. The cartoon progresses through a series of examples where people fit objects and ideas into that hole before arriving at someone who decided to just leave the hole empty. The empty holed person claimed that he found out if you run against the wind at just the right angle, it makes a whistling noise (Document 3). Interestingly enough, the cartoon sums up, at least superficially, how I view Existentialism as a world view. Rejecting the social institutions that cover up the realities of the world, Existentialism calls for the developing of individual values based on what the follower feels is important in his or her life. Just as the empty holed person refuses to follow the others in filling the hole, the Existentialist chooses not to surround him or herself with religion, political ideologies or meaning for the world as many others do. As a world view, Existentialism is both practical and necessary because it provides those who subscribe to it the means to shape their own values in a meaningless world rather than blanketing themselves with the delusions created by social institutions that falsely provide such meanings. As a philosophy, Existentialism can be quite technical. Much of the theory involves generalized abstract concepts that seem difficult to implement in real life. In practice, however, Existentialism ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

People often use the meaning of race like a sticker; race is defined by skin color, eyes and body shape, hair texture and facial features. However, there are no genetic markers which will prove that one race is different than another. The concept of race isn t biologically real but race it s a method to divide a group from another one. Race doesn t have any genetic basis. There is no genetic characteristic such as; gene or feature to tell the differences between humans. In other words, the race isn t biologically real because there is no scientific evidence which can prove that race is biologically real because there is no genetic markers evidence which cannot be denoted that one particular group is different than other. • 12. Ideal Utopia Research Paper There are two things that operate this world: order and production. The world runs smoothest when these two things are at their maximums. Thus, an ideal utopia would include methods to facilitate work as well as to ensure societal integrity. These goals can be reached through the adoption of artificial intelligence, the development of a fiscal military state, and the conservation of goods, resources, and energy. The critical issue in human societies is the lack of efficient management. This stems from corruption, ignorance, deceit, complacency, laziness, and indifference. Confirmation bias has the potential to wreak havoc on groups of people, because everyone knows that there is nothing worse than being wrong. Humans are apt to make errors, and over long periods of time these errors accumulate and compound into irreparable mistakes. Consequently, it is impossible for humans to ever govern a utopia. Conservation seems to contradict my previous statements on the military industrial complex, but in fact they go hand in hand. By stressing conservation, consumer demand can be artificially augmented, thus putting a larger emphasis on production. For instance, if a ration were put on eggs and butter (despite there being no shortage of those products), the price of those items would increase. However, in reality, there is really a surplus of eggs and butter, which at any point could flood the market, drive prices into the ground, and teach people a valuable lesson on why eggs and butter should not be trusted. As a result, the illusion of a lack of resources is just as powerful as not actually having those goods. Metamorphosis, by Franz Kafka, is a reflection of his unsettled relationship with his family and society. Franz Kafka creates a hideous creature, a monstrous insect, to show how he feels in his reality. Gregor, in Metamorphosis, is a tool for Kafka to psychoanalyze his perceived deficiency in society and communicate his contemplations on his meaning in life. Franz Kafka s estrangement from his family and society started early in his life. Franz Kafka was born on the third of July, 1883 in Prague. Kafka was the oldest child with three younger sisters and two brothers that died as infants. Prague was home to Czech people but at that time was controlled by the Austro Hungarian Empire. Kafka grew up in a German speaking Jewish family. Not many German Jews lived in Czech at that time and this alone may have played a part in his separation from society. He was also not very involved with Judaism. He knew all the Jewish customs but later considered himself a socialist atheist (Price, par. 4). Kafka s first language was Czech but after the age of six he went to a German speaking school and he became more fluent in the German language. Considered Gnostic by some and canon by others, the Gospel of Thomas is a collection of sayings that were spoken by the living Jesus, and recorded by Didymos Judas Thomas. Satiating the lust of the flesh is frowned heavily upon in most religions. Because Adam and Eve gave into this temptation, all humans are born with some semblance of the original sin. However, the blank slate nature of a child is as close to perfect as one can hope to be. Many of Jesus s sayings in the Gospel of Thomas suggest that children, babies in particular, have everything they need to be almost perfect; for they are born with that of the light of the Father, and therefore hold some divinity (Litwa, 2015). Jesus tells his disciples that circumcision is not useful, for if it was, the Father would have made babies circumcised. Jesus says congratulations to the poor and the meek, for the Heaven s Kingdom shall belong to them. A child a baby is nothing if it is not poor and meek. A child has done nothing, earned nothing, and truly cannot be anything other than poor, and meek. It is with age, and sin, that a child loses their sight of the path to Heaven. At several points in the text, Jesus talks about the intrinsic war between father and son, and the necessary hatred for one s parents. It is entirely possible that Jesus could be describing the struggle that a good child faces in attempting to separate themselves from their parents, who have become old and deep in sin. Plato s argument equates truth to light, while Dante s argument equates God to light. Dante argues that the light is guiding, rather than definite. Trail Of Tears Essay Trail of Tears The Trail of Tears is a name given to the Cleansing and forced relocation of Native American nations from Southeastern parts of United States following the Indian Removal Act of 1830. The phrase originated from a description of removal of the Choctaw Nation in 1831. We Cherokee Indians have lived in our lands for centuries. The white setters forcefully came into our world and had an eye on our land to grow cotton and other crops. First they wanted to civilize us and save our souls by converting us to Christianity. The land they coveted was the east of Mississippi as this land was valuable for growing cotton. The Four Humors And Their Influence Through Time The Four Humors and Their Influence Through Time Greek Antiquity was a time of some of the greatest minds of all time, such as Plato and Aristotle, leading to many inventions and ideas that are still relevant today, from hydraulics to astronomy. One of the most influential realizations, however, came from the mind of a man named Hippocrates, as he began the real start of the practice of medicine. Hippocrates of Cos, a physician in ancient Greece, is considered to be the father of medicine due to his many contributions to the field in his life. Through research and different experiments he was able to conclude many different principles, including on of the most important: the four humors. By observing reactions to different illnesses, sometimes leading the patient to die, he was able to develop the theory. His theory of the four humors was that the human body was filled with four basic substances, or humors, that when in balance indicate the person is healthy. If there was too little or too much of one of the four, a disease or disability would result. The four humors of Hippocratic medicine are black bile, yellow bile, blood, and phlegm. Before the humors were introduced, many people believed that the source of illness was punishment from the Gods. It wasn t until after Hippocrates introduction to medicine that the field stepped away from religion and into science. The introduction of the four humors led to a continuing line of thought up until the nineteenth century ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Especially considering the fact that it is the exact type of agriculture that is being used in every civilization except for the remaining tribal peoples of the world. I will try to define Totalitarian Agriculture here: According to an ethics, followed by every sort of creature within the community of life, sharks as well as sheep, killer bees as well as butterflies, you may compete to the full extent of your capabilities, but you may not hunt down your competitors or destroy their food or deny them access to food. In other words, you may compete, but you may not wage war. This ethics is violated at every point by practitioners of totalitarian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Why totalitarian agriculture? You got me. It is really hard to knock Totalitarian Agriculture since it is the foundation of our culture and the sustenance of our lives. If Totalitarian Agriculture were to disappear tomorrow, then our culture would be obliterated by starvation. This is not so for the remaining tribal peoples of the world. They are fully well capable of surviving on their own just the same as humans have been since there were humans. Thinking about this further made me think about the reasons for adopting this practice. Our culture practices working to grow and produce food, locking it up, and then forcing people to pay to get it. before the agricultural revolution 10,000 years ago, humans had been living successfully as hunter gatherers for a hundred thousand years, so asked myself what was the reason for this sudden mind change to the practice of Totalitarian Agriculture? One answer is due to the vast amounts of food surpluses that are created with totalitarian agriculture. This is part of the answer to the next reason for totalitarian agriculture, which is power and expansion. The founders of totalitarian agriculture thought that their way to live was the one right way for all humans to live. These vast surpluses of food enabled this culture to expand into surrounding territories near the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and use force to take the land from tribal peoples. • 37. Essay On The Causes Of Obesity In America American s are suffering from an epidemic today called obesity. Contributors to the obesity problem are overly large portions of food served to Americans. Also, a lack of physical activity adds to obesity, spending hours in front of a television or computer. Advertisements contribute to Americans over weight problems by pushing high calorie high fat foods. Major health problems caused by obesity are high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease. First, obesity can cause high blood pressure in Americans. Overweight individuals are more likely to develop high blood pressure than individuals with average weight.
