Being A Hearing Impairment Problem
The world is full of people but all people are not same in terms of fate. That is why some are
physically and mentally fit while others are not lucky in this regard. The ones who are having any kind
of disability are considered as special and that is why special treatment should be given to them so that
they can be able to live their lives in an adequate manner. The disable persons especially children tend
to face so many problems. If the child is deaf then he will have to face harsh behavior of the other
children because neither he is able to express what he wants to say nor he is able to understand what
others are saying. This document deals with the problems of Michael who is a five years old child and
is having a hearing impairment problem. The document will discuss those strategies which are
necessary to be implemented in order to support Michael in a school setting. In addition to this, it will
also be discussed that in what ways Michael can be able to bridge the social and cultural gap (Javier,
2005).
Hearing Impairment: According to Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) deafness or
hearing impairment is defined as the inability of an individual to understand the verbal language due
to inability to hear. According to this definition, Michael hearing problem has also affected his ability
to understand the verbal language. The reason is that when the lesson is taught to the students, they
tend to understand only if they are listening to what has been

Criminal Responsibility In Criminal Behavior Research
Criminal responsibility revolves around intent, which is a theme in debate on culpability. The study to
be reviewed was led by Williams et al (2010), which found at the age of 16, 46% of offenders
interviewed reported TBI. The main cause of the TBI was violence. Reports of more than three TBIs
were associated with a greater proportion of violence in criminal offences, suggesting number of TBI
is positively correlated with number of aggressive acts. Research in the past similarly indicates
individuals who experience traumatic brain injury (TBI) are more likely to commit future criminal
acts (Raine et al, 2005). Individuals with TBI affecting the frontal lobes are at an increased risk of
impulsive aggression and reduced affective empathy (Brower Price, 2001), characteristics evident in
frequent offenders (Jolliffe Farrington, 2004). This suggests an increased risk of criminal behaviour,
post TBI, especially when the frontal area is damaged. Thus, can TBI be used to reach the not guilty
verdict in court, by reasons of diminished responsibility or can it be argued other premorbid variables
at work? I critique Williams et al (2010) and propose when violent behaviour is the cause of TBI,
there should be consideration of whether the behaviour ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They concluded substance abuse led to increased inhibition and violence resulting in more criminality
and risk of TBI. Similarly, TBI criminals had a high occurrence of alcohol abuse both before and after
TBI; those with substance abuse history were also more likely to commit crimes after TBI. Kreutzer et
al (2009) concluded TBI is only a risk factor for criminality when there is a history of both criminality
and substance abuse and should not be considered a risk factor in its own

Federal Bureau of Investigation and White Collar Crimes
White Collar Crime White Collar Crime White Collar Crimes are those illegal acts which are
characterized by deceit, concealment, or violation of trust and which are not dependent upon the
application or threat of physical force or violence. Individuals and organizations commit these acts to
obtain money, property, or services; to avoid the payment or loss of money or services; or to secure
personal or business advantage. ~Federal Bureau of Investigation More citizens around the world in
the 21st century have a greater awareness and common knowledge or white collar crimes than in
previous decades or centuries. In the west, Sutherland is known as the renowned sociologist who first
publically announced and defined white collar crime around the beginning of World War II, though
there is evidence of study and evidence of white collar crime present in the 19th century and before.
The subject of white collar crime is one of moderate to serious contention, as even its consideration as
a crime and its categorization within all of crime is debated fervently in the past and in the present.
White collar crime is prevalent in the 21st century around the world, perhaps more so than in previous
years because of the power and potential of technology to make possible and execute many examples
of white collar crimes. Agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation additionally use
technology as a means to prevent white collar crime as well as pursue white collar criminals. White

Alicia Walker s The Flowers
Alicia Walker s short story, The Flowers , gives a darker side on the realities of life. The author walks
through the perspective of Myop, who is a ten year old girl, having the time of life. Walker uses words
such light , warm , and beautiful to illustrate Myop s life as innocent in her childhood (par. 2). This
shows the Paradise which humans seek to have in their lives. However, Walker talks about how Myop
chose her own path, searching for flowers in the woods (par. 4). What Walker describes in this scene is
the curiosity of a kid searching for answers, farther than her mother took her in the woods. In the
woods, Myop experience the dark truth about life. As she gathers flowers and heads home, she steps in
the face of a dead man and

Nemo And Dog Research Paper
Nemo and Dog By: Dominic Once upon a time there was two animals in the Pacific Ocean named
Nemo and Dog. Nemo was a piranha and Dog was a snapping turtle and they were really good friends.
They would do a lot of things together and they wouldn t mind that Dog could eat Nemo. It was a
sunny day when Nemo was going for a swim when he saw some other people talking. When he swam
past them he overheard the group talking about the fishers were out today and were already trying to
catch some fish. So he swam to go find Dog and tell him about the fishers. He couldn t seem to find
him until finally he saw a snapping turtle but he didn t know if it was Dog because he was really far
away. He started swimming toward the turtle when he saw a net drop in the water swallowing the
turtle. Nemo came to realize that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nemo was looking at the side of the boat to remember what the boat looked like. It had a stripe on the
side and before knowing anything else it began to move and started going faster and faster until Nemo
couldn t keep up with it. Nemo swam to the fish group and started to explain what happened to Dog.
Everybody really didn t like Dog so no one was willing to help Nemo to save him. So Nemo started to
think of a plan to help save Dog and to somehow win over some of the fish so he isn t doing it by
himself. For the rest of the day Nemo went swimming around looking for the boat that took Dog.
Nemo never knew where he was at or what happened to him but that never stopped him, Nemo was
determined to get his friend back. One day

Why Do Animals Be Kept In Captivity
Millions of people visit the zoo to see the animals and they believe that the zoos are inhumane and that
the animals should not be kept in captivity. I am both ways, I think they should be kept in captivity but
then again I feel bad and they should be.
There are many reasons why animals are kept in captivity and I think that having them stay in a zoo is
a lot better than having them stay in something way worse or locked up with the wrong people. A
good zoo will provide great care and protection to animals in their care. They will be taken care of and
loved by the workers. They will be shown off to the people that came to look at them.
Zoos are often the best hope or even last hope for the survival of a species, especially if they are

The Day I Go To Jail
Why are you surprised? What would you expect from a person like me. My parents abandoned me
when I was 16. I was of my own and had to fend for myself in the City of Cleveland. I had no
money,no home, and no direction. I had no one to take care of me. One day I decided I had to do
something in order to change my situation, and I didn t care what the consequence would be. While
walking back to the alley where I slept and kept my belongings, I had passed a dry cleaners. I decided
at that moment this was where my plan was going to happen. Now I know, that if I was to rob the
little, old ladies dry cleaners, I would most likely get sent to jail for five years. However at that time I
didn t care because jail was better than what I had back ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I thought maybe it could finally bring her closure to what had happened and she wouldn t have to live
in fear anymore. I woke up bright and early and rushed to the garden to try to find her. When I got to
the garden I noticed a man who wasn t there before. He was just standing there carefully watching all
the people garden, he was watching like a hawk. He cames up to me and said, Hey there, haven t ever
seen you around here before. My name is Sam. You seem like you are looking for someone. Yeah, I
am. I am looking for a little old lady, she runs the dry cleaners down the street. Oh you must be talking
about Sae Young. Did you hear that she had gotten robbed a couple years back? She ain t really come
out of her house that much because of it. This just confirmed even though I already knew how my
actions changed someone s life so dramatically. I felt at that moment I had no choice but to admit that
to Sam that I was the one who robbed Sae Young. After I told Sam, I expected him to run just like Sae
young or grab me but he didn t. He said that it was a brave thing for me to admit and that I obviously
seemed remorseful and horrible about what I had done, but that I had changed. He said that it was
important for me to try to talk to her because it could make such a difference in her life. Sam told me I

Summary Of The Miraculous Journey Of Edward Tulane
I have read this book a couple times now, and the many complex things I have learned are unbearable.
Every chapter is important to what the end of the story is going to be. I think this story of a china
rabbit finding his way back home had more plot twists than I thought this story would have. The first
lesson that I will tell you will be to never give up hope on love, but to always know that somebody
will find room in their hearts for you. When you figure out what love is, your heart will grow even
bigger.
Love can bring together the love of others around them. But love can also bring effect on others that
have not seen what love can do to them. Love is not the impact of how expensive your belongings are.
Nothing is more expensive than the price of love. And that s one of the lessons that I have learned
from the book that I have read. In the beginning I read pages 5 thru 7 where edward specifically said:
The china rabbit was in possession of an extraordinary wardrobe composed of handmade silk suits,
custom shoes fashioned from the finest leather and designed specifically for his rabbit feet, and a wide
array of hats equipped with holes so that they could easily fit over edward s large and expressive ears.
Each pair of well cut pants had a small pocket for Edward s gold pocket watch (Page 7) writing from
the book The Miraculous Journey Of Edward Tulane. and when I read that paragraph, I thought to
myself, that not what love is about, love is about the trust of others

Arterial Oxygen Saturation
It is known that as altitude increases, atmospheric pressure decreases, as does the partial pressure of
oxygen (Hall Table 44 1). That same table demonstrates that the partial pressures of both oxygen and
carbon dioxide in the alveoli decrease as well. However, the alveolar water vapor pressure remains
unchanged constant at 47mmHg no matter the altitude (Hall 561). The most deleterious result of these
factors is that less oxygen is being delivered to the tissues. Fortunately for me, Guyton and Hall says
that altitude has a relatively insignificant effect on arterial oxygen saturation at 9,000ft (Hall Figure 44
1). It is not until 10,000ft that arterial oxygen saturation begins to steeply decline. The physical affects
of acute hypoxia according to Hall are drowsiness, lassitude, mental and muscle fatigue, sometimes
headache, occasionally nausea, and sometimes euphoria. These effects progress to a stage of
twitchings or seizures above 18,000 feet and end, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to an article in Oxford Journals, one of the first steps in acclimitization is polycythemia.
This increase in red blood cells can be seen within the first two days of ascension. However, the
author is quick to point out that it is nonetheless a slow process and therefore not nearly as vital to
acclimitization as the other factors that come into play, the most crucial of which is the increase
pulmonary ventilation (West). Low oxygen is immediately sensed by chemoreceptors in the carotid
and aortic bodies, which then send signals to the respiratory centers of the brain, resulting in an
increase in respiration. In a matter of only days, acclimitization increases our: pulmonary ventilation,
concentration of red blood cells, lung diffusing capacity, vascularity of tissues, and ability of cells to
use oxygen (Hall

Women During The Kenyan Emergency Of The 1950 s
In order to explain the significance of women during the Kenyan Emergency of the 1950 s, Millicent
Whitemore composed a powerful argument that highlighted the importance that women played in the
Mau Mau Movement against the British colonial government. By contrasting the traditional views of
women with the critical roles they played during the conflict, Whitemore showed just how incredibly
important women were in the Movement. With the use of an abundance of sources and firsthand
accounts, Whitemore created not only a credible and valid argument, but also a more convincing and
persuading one as well. As such, the author has developed and formed an effective argument
highlighting the importance of women during the Mau Mau movement with the strong

Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Research Paper
The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Could the fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory have been prevented?
If the working conditions weren t so flammable, maybe this fire could have never happened. There
were about tons of scraps, and they used paper as thin as air. If the workers and managers were more
aware of these things, there could have never been a fire. The Triangle Shirtwaist could have not lost
145 workers that day if they had been more considerate. To begin with, the working conditions were
very poor. Their employees worked in cramped lines at their sewing machines. The girls worked
twelve hours a day, everyday. At the eighth floor, there were bins and bins of scraps, since the last time
they were picked up and sold to cotton mills was January, and the fire happened midway into March.
There were four elevators, but only one was working, so the workers had to file a long like to use it.
They had two stairways that led to the streets, but one of them was locked from the outside to prevent
robbery. Finally, the fire escape was so narrow that it would take hours to have all the workers use it,
even if luck was on their side. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

protested against them, and paid politicians to avert their eyes. The factory was owned by two men

Characteristics Of The High Renaissance
This research paper looks at the High Renaissance and the artists that it had produced during this
period. During this time period there were three individuals that had dominated the art world. These
three artists are Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Even though this paper discusses
about the High Renaissance and the three who dominated it, the main focus of the paper is on
Leonardo Da Vinci. Even though he mad such famous paintings, he was not a prolific painter; he was
prolific draftsman as well as a great engineer, architect, inventor, and scientist. Besides having many
famous paintings, Da Vinci also had thousands of drawings, sketches, and doodles that he is famous
for. The drawings contained many notes of what he was interested. There are drawings of the study of
the human body, of his inventions and just things he see is interesting. In art history, the High
Renaissance period refers to a short period in which there was an exceptional artistic production in the
Italian states. The reason why this part of the Reniasance period is called the High Renaissance is
because it has been seen as the time in which the artistic aim and goals of the Renaissance has reached
their greatest application (n.d.). The High Renaissance style was the dominant art style during 16th
century Italy. Many historians believe that three individuals dominated this time period of art. These
individuals are Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The oldest of the three was Leonardo
Da Vinci
Leonardo Da Vinci was a universal genius. He was not only just the best painter of the world at the
time, but he was also known as a great inventor, architect, engineer and scientist. Even though he was
great in many fields, he is mostly known from his achievements as the painter of many famous
Renaissance art masterpieces.
Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 near the village of Vinci, which is 25 miles away from Florence.
Da Vinci was the illegitimate son of a local of Florence and a prominent notary Florence, Ser Piero Da
Vinci. Not much of his childhood is known, but as a teen he became an apprentice of Andrea del
Verrochio, the leading artist of Florence and the early Reniassance (2017). Later on Leonardo

The Law Is Made Under The First Amendment Of The United...
I. Introduction In modern American society, there is little thought in how and why the laws came to
be. There is a natural assumption that the laws were made to protect the people and society. The law is
made under the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States which give the right to the
people to seek its government for redress of any grievances. Utilizing this right, it gives rise to new
laws to be enacted and old laws to be amended or repealed, in the ever developing society. As the
American society progresses, we become more acceptant to compromise our core values. The value of
speaking and writing has been reduced to redundant, ambiguous and vague, incomplete thoughts. Our
mannerisms are guised and restricted to fit the occasion and are hardly rendered otherwise. And our
due diligence to prove and maintain our status in our sexual encounters are becoming a requirement to
endure in our daily lives, regardless of age. Consequently, Americans and its society are evidently
hypersexualized, accurately stated within the book Sexidemic: A Cultural History of Sex in America
(Lawrence R. Samuel), [t]o say that sex plays a major role in everyday life in America would be an
understatement (particularly because it is the source of life itself). Sexuality is a mainstay of American
popular and consumer culture; the adage sex sells is taken to heart by marketers of all kinds...

Blink by Malcolm Gladwell
A book review by Narendran Santhanam (G10031)
Contents Introduction 3 A brief summary 3 Evaluation 5 Conclusion 5
Introduction Blink by Malcolm Gladwell is a book about how we think without thinking, about
choices that seem to be made in an instant in the blink of an eye that actually aren t as simple as they
seem. The book deals with the smallest components of our everyday lives the content and origin of
those instantaneous impressions and conclusions that spontaneously arise whenever we meet a new
person or confront a complex situation or have to make a decision under conditions of stress.
A brief summary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perhaps one of the most important points made by Gladwell in this book is that neither analytical nor
intuitive thinking is good or bad. But under chaotic conditions, the lesser the information available,
the better because information overload can delay decisions, and under pressure, delayed decisions are
worse than bad decisions. Gladwell illustrates this with an astonishing example of an experiment
where sales of a jam shop were as high as thirty percent more when they had only six types of jam
than when they had twenty four.
What Gladwell calls thin slicing or rapid cognition, should be done in context. Examples of the market
researches on taste test of Coke and Pepsi samples, survey of people s acceptance of Michael Kenna s
music and two radically new TV shows on CBS have been quoted to emphasize the importance of
context in thin slicing. Numerous instances of products that received higher acceptance among the
public only because they were packaged differently make it clear to us that thin slicing is useful only
when done the right way. When a product is new and different, it is vulnerable to market research,
which in most cases is not done in the right context, thus leading to the product being shelved.
Having established the fact that rapid cognition is not always as accurate as one would want it to be,
Gladwell now goes on to the topic of reading the minds of others just by looking

Comparison Of The Arthurian Legend Of Tristan And Isoud
Tristan and Isoud The Arthurian legend of Tristan and Isoud is a timeless tale of two people in
surreptitious love. Tristan being the nephew of King Mark and his obligation to the chivalric code are
the couple s greatest hurdles inhibiting their relationship from prospering. Isoud and Tristan s legend
changes from merely being means of entertainment about two forbidden lovers in Le Morte D Arthur,
by Thomas Malory, to having a deeper purpose in Cornwall s Wonderland, by Mabel Quiller Couch.
Couch s version of the tale provides perspective on not only what the couple goes through, but also
makes the story relatable to her readers during the time of World War I and women s rights being
limited.
World War I s impact on people at the time is devastating and Couch knows that her audience is
looking for an escape when reading, whereas Malory is simply telling a story for the fun of it and not
the details. Tristan becomes very distraught from his loneliness and as a result he goes to Brittany to
find Iseult la Blanche Mains, or Iseult of the White Hands in an effort to ease his pain of losing his
true love La Belle Isoud. In Cornwall s Wonderland, Tristan knows that Iseult la Blanche Mains has
feelings for him and he feels that at least one person in the love triangle deserves to be happy. Tristan
says to himself that he cannot love her as she deserves, but he will try to make her happy (Couch 228).

Encryption Is The Process Of Encoding Information
Abstract
Introduction to Encryption
Encryption is the process of encoding information in such a way that only the person (or computer)
with the key can decode it. Encryption is a way to enhance the security of a message or file by
scrambling the contents so that it can be read only by someone who has the right encryption key to
unscramble it.
Encryption has widely been used to protect data in numerous areas, such as e commerce, online
banking, cloud storage, online communication and so forth. For example, if you purchase something
from a website, the information for the transaction (such as your address, phone number, and credit
card number) is usually encrypted to help keep it safe. Another example of a cipher (encrypt) can be,
for instance, the replacing of the letters in a message with the ones one forward in the alphabet. So if
your original message read Meet you at the cafe tonight the encrypted message reads as follows: Nffu
zpv bu uif dbgf upojhiu . Types of Encryption
In encryption we have 3 different types
⊁ Hashing
⊁ Symmetric
⊁ Asymmetric
Hashing:
The first encryption method, called hashing, creates a unique, fixed length signature for a message or
data set. Hashes are created with an algorithm, or hash function, and people commonly use them to
compare sets of data. Since a hash is unique to a specific message, even minor changes to that
message result in a dramatically different hash, thereby alerting a user to potential tampering. A key
difference

Five Leadership Lessons From James T. Kirk
As Alex Knapp wrote about in his article Five Leadership Lessons from James T. Kirk, leadership is
about constantly learning, encouraging creativity and innovation, working with team members, and
understanding the competition in order to lead better and lead to greater places. Knapp observed
through Kirk s actions that the knowledge required to lead is not necessarily all the information that is
needed to be an accomplished leader. A good leader will also have people on their team that contradict
their views, as Knapp implied, in order to get a better perspective of the problem. Being a good leader
also encompasses working with lower positions and experiencing the different types of work so that
the leader will earn the workers trust and

My Favorite Festival
No matter which country you live in, festivals are unavoidable. For as long as people have lived
together in communities, it seems we have had a desire to celebrate together as a group. Festival
celebrations take place in all cultures, all over the globe and for lots of different reasons. Religion,
music, food all these and more have inspired festivals new and old. Whether you love culture, or you
re just looking to party, there s a festival out there for everyone. Festival is a party and party really isn
t much of a party without food and drink, and people have been celebrating with delicious grub for
centuries. Closely tied to the seasons, many food based festivals traditionally take place at harvest
time, when farmers reap their crops and there is plenty of food to share. And this lead to one of my
favorite festival La Tomatina; a festival that has been on my bucket list for quite sometimes. I want to
take this opportunity to share what I have learned about this overwhelming festival over the years. So
fasten your seat belt because I m about to take you on a ride to world s largest food fight .
La Tomatina is a food fight festival held on the last Wednesday of August each year in the town of
Bunol near to Valencia in Spain. According to Malik, (2016), There are more than one hundred metric
tons of over ripe tomatoes are thrown in the streets.
It is believed that La Tomatina started way back in 1945 when a man was pushed off a float during an
annual carnival parade.

The Controversy Of Tagus s Argument
The argument mentioned by the author is flawed. The author not only takes a handful of resources but
also uses those limited resources is to make a sweeping generalization that the government of Tagus
should do everything that it can do to promote that new type of millet. Basically, the argument is based
on the assumption that as the millet is a common food in Tagus, the people will readily adopt the new
variety. But, it has not mentioned anything that the new variety of millet has the same taste. So, there
is no any certainty that the people will like the taste and adopt it. Therefore, further study of the newly
engendered variety must be done to ensure its adoption. Furthermore, in the argument, there is no any
evidence that the subsidies

The position of National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) is that reading ?is the complex act of

Essay On Horse Slaughter
Horse slaughter and whether or not it should be legal in the US has been an ongoing debate. Horse
slaughter can be a touchy subject for people. People have very strong opinions about it whether you
are for it or against it. In this essay I will explain my views on the matter of Horse slaughter in the US.
Horses have been a part of man s life for a very long time. The relationship between man and horse
first began at the time of the horse s domestication between 4000 and 3500 B.C. They have been by
our side to help us complete agricultural tasks as well as recreational uses for thousands of years.
While the USDA may classify the horse as livestock, many Americans consider the horse to be
something more along the lines of a companion animal.

The Rise Of Professionalism In The Workplace
The professionalization of a nonprofit staff can lead to a better more resourceful organization and this
can in the end lead to a more efficient atmosphere. In turn this means more money for the organization
and better networking opportunities. However, this professionalization requires training and advanced
education (Hwang). Although, professionalism in this sector is becoming more widely accepted and
with enactment of the Tax Reform Act of 1969, that indisputably encouraged professionalism,
professionalism has been on the rise (Hwang). The earliest acts that show a trend toward
professionalism, is the building of the Rockefeller Center and the foundation that made that dream a
reality. Andrew Carnegie was well educated himself and he made

Evolution Of Evolution Through Birds
Evolution Through Birds
Research on the origination of organismal life dates back to seventeenth century. In present day,
scientists are still discovering new concepts on the topic of evolution and adaptation on the molecular
level of science. Modern research topics have gone deeper into the molecular field to better
understand the evolution that took place within a species. Evolutionary biologists have begun to
research the genetic architecture of evolutionary adaptation and speciation.
Researchers seek to find answers to questions such as how large is the effect of specific genes and
what sort of changes result from certain genes. Birds have been an organism that researchers focus on
to understand key components in evolution because of their close relation to many different species of
animals.
Darwin s Finches
Charles Darwin began this revolutionary research by studying a group of finches on the
Galapagos Islands. His interest in the similarity between different species of finches led to the
understanding of evolution that scientists use as basis for modern day research. The beaks of birds
were Darwin s main focal point and continue to be the aspect that reveals most about evolution and
adaption. The reason for beaks importance in the evolution of birds is because of the correlation
between beak size and diet and survival, a relationship that Darwin discovered.
The morphology of these finches beaks was affected by the environment and what food supply

Hermia In A Midsummer Night s Dream
William Shakespeare has written many plays, with more characters, storylines, sets and intersecting
plotlines then you can imagine. Have you ever thought of one character in his plays that holds the
sovereignty to carry out the theme of the story? William Shakespeare born in 1564, began his career in
1590. A midsummer night s dream play was written in 1592, a romantic comedy of 4 Athenian lovers.
Hermis young daughter of Egeus Hermia has an unusual starting right from the beginning, which
allows readers to sympathize for the young character. The story starts with the young lady of Athens
who is known as the disobedient daughter of Egeus. She s supposed to marry Demetrius, but she has
fallen in love with Lysander. Hermia could be mistaken ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since she left her ordinary world to marry Lysander, she would now believe he will never leave her.
But as they reach the forest, the lovers get lost and they are very tired so they decide upon resting.
While both young lovers have fallen asleep, Puck comes across them mistaking them for Demetrius
and Helena. Puck puts the love potion in Lysander s eyes thinking he is Demetrius, and Lysander
wakes up he immediately falls in love with Helena. As Hermia wakes up, not only to realize Lysander
left her but has fallen in love with her best friend. Hermia Thou art not by mine eye, Lysander,
found.Mine ear, I thank it, brought me to thy sound, But why unkindly didst thou leave me so?
Lysander Why should he stay, whom love doth press to go? (III. ii. 177 184). Lysander has now
completely forgotten about Hermia. She is in the darkest cave of her journey, the love she ran away for
has now totally forgotten about her and she is indeed very hurt. Hermia (to LYSANDER) What, can
you do me greater harm than hate? Hate me? Wherefore? O me! What news, my love? Am not I
Hermia? Are not you Lysander? I am as fair now as I was erewhile. Since night you loved me. Yet

Difference Between Incus And Stape
When you hear a fire engine siren, the sound waves from the truck enters your ear canal and vibrates
your eardrum. Then the vibrations go to the central part of the eardrum connected to a small bone of
the middle ear called the malleus. Then as the malleus vibrates, it transmits sound waves to the incus
and stapes. The incus and stapes are two small bones that are part of the middle ear. They are also
called ossicles. As the stapes move, it pushes the oval window in and out.
This movement is passed to an auditory inner ear that functions to convert sound vibrations into neural
messages. This inner ear is called the cochlea. Then the spiral organ Corti, which is located in the
cochlea, is sent into action every time the oval window

Natural Law Vs Divine Command Theory
The Theory of Natural Law, may be define in three aspects, there being a natural order in the world,
everything having a purpose and how things are and how things ought to be. This theory also states
that humans can distinguish between what is right or wrong through human reason/moral knowledge.
On the other hand, the Divine Command Theory is a view of morality and states that what s right or
wrong is set by God s moral commands. God s commands tell us what is morally obligatory, permitted
and wrong.
The Natural Law tells that humans have a moral knowledge/reason that makes us able to decide what s
right. This has caused various debates on whether people did the right because it was the right thing to
do or because that s what God commands. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, not all the Ten Commandants are easy to follow or even go with the time we are living
in. One of the Ten Commandants states that we should not take the name of the Lord in vain, yet today
the Lord s name it s something we say on a daily basis. In addition, religious followers may decide to
act in a harmful or negative way in society and defend themselves by saying that God has command
them to do it; which may lead to extreme religions, where its followers may take every word of the
book to heart and try to carry out those views on their society. This theory makes us question on
whether who came first, God or right, which I believe that right came first. When comparing the
Divine Command with the Minimum Conception, it can be deduced that both are very differing from
each other. One of the reasons is that with the Divine Command, God chooses for us what it s right or
wrong and if it became a moral system, atheists will feel out of place because they have a different set
of believe just like other religions. In conclusion, while both the Natural Law Theory and the Divine
Command Theory have aspects that I don t agree on, both brought interesting ways to look at the
world and the origin of our morals. Personally, I agree more with the Natural Law, since I believe that
people do act on moral knowledge and the world has a natural order. Both theories showed me the
various ways people may think about God and what s

Child Vaccine Persuasive Speech
The topic for my persuasive speech was child vaccinations. There are many pros and cons to having
and not having them done to your child, or to yourself. Vaccines contain harmful ingredients that can
cause life time medical issues. I feel as if I did not fully gain the attention of my audience. I kept
messing up with my wording, causing people to lose focus. I related my topic to the audience fairly
well, I gave a short story about a boy whose parents did not take him to the hospital when they should
have, and he passed. The proposition that I used was; even though vaccines can help you they can
harm you, it is best to do your research about the vaccine so you don t harm your child or yourself. I

The Nature Of Inner Peace
The nature of inner peace is complex and multifaceted. Peace is not merely the absence of hostility,
violence or war but encompasses a larger concept whereby inner peace is attained. Peace begins with
individual awareness and personal response to the teachings of the religious traditions. An individual s
understanding of peace is expressed through the principal teachings drawn from the sacred texts of
Christianity and Islam that is, the New Testament and the Quran respectively. These teachings guide
individuals in achieving inner peace and hence through this allow them to contribute to world peace.
Initially, a Christian adherent s understanding of Peace is informed through the sacred writings within
the New Testament. Jesus, the prince of peace challenged people to live the essence of the law rather
than just an outward show of religious observance. As stated in Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the
peacemakers, for they will be called children of God . Jesus use of Shalom, goes beyond the absence
of war as it emphasises the need for harmony in relationships which result in God s blessing. This idea
is reinforced in Matthew 5:43 45 Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you...God
makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous .
This teaching targets the challenge for many adherents in that Jesus stated people should not take
revenge on others,to maintain outer and inner peace. Hence, the New Testament are an

John Venn Essay
Life of John Venn John Venn was born on August 4, 1834, in Hull, England. His parents were Martha
Sykes and Reverend Henry Venn. Unfortunately, Venn s mother died when he was only three years
old. Venn was brought up in a very strict home. His father had played a significant part in the
Evangelical movement and he was also the secretary of the Society for Missions to Africa and the
East. Venn started his education at Highgate with his brother Henry in September 1846. He later
moved to Islington proprietary school. He later earned his degree in mathematics in 1857 from
Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Having earned a fellowship there as well, Venn would
establish a long term career at his alma mater, becoming a lecturer in 1862 and being appointed
college president. He maintained that position for life. In 1859, following after his father s religious
tradition, Venn was ordained as a priest for the Church of England and did religious work for a short
time before returning to Caius College . In 1868, he married Susanna Carnegie Edmonstone with
whom he had one son, John Archibald Venn. He eventually resigned from the clergy in 1883, because
Anglicanism was incompatible with his philosophical beliefs. But he still remained involved in the
church. His most famous accomplishment was in 1866, writing The Logic of Chance, a
groundbreaking book that explained the frequency theory of probability. The Logic of Chance offered

Minority Groups In Japan Essay
Japan is a developed country that has become so advanced and culturally defined by the integration of
many different cultures throughout many centuries. The Korean and Ainu minority groups are strong
influential actors whose behaviour is bringing structural change to the existing social hierarchy in
contemporary Japan. Their aims are centered around the change in Japan s ethnocentric outlook and to
create a national society of acceptance, rights, education in hopes to end the discrimination towards
these minority groups. Japan has always been a country built upon the acceptance of science and
technology of other countries, but has failed to accept the integration of the populations of people
from those nations who immigrated to Japan. This essay will talk about minority groups in Japan and
their effect on Japan s social hierarchy in the contemporary era. However, I counter my argument that
other minority groups are not part of this transformation, such as the minority group of day time
labourers and how they do not work as a social actor bringing change to the Japanese social hierarchy.
Japan is a multiethnic and multicultural society, but the majority of their residents hold very strong
beliefs of the pureness of a person and their status in the country based on heritage and personal
background, (Lecture, Sept 12). During postwar Japan there was a heavy emphasis on unity and
homogeneity of the people rather than diversity, (Lecture, Nov 30). As a result, the country s

Sij Dysfunction Reflection
Examining patients with suspected SIJ dysfunction, I first begin with the examination with the lumbar
segments to evaluate any instability or dysfunctions. I would check first CPR stenosis, then
Zygapophyseal joint problems using Revel s criteria, especially absence of pain by cough/sneezing; no
pain when the patient is rising from body flexion to extension position, and no pain by extension
rotation criteria s would rule out facet problems.
Tests like Slump, PA springing test, SLR, Crossed SLR, passive lumbar extension and prone spine
instability tests, active lumbar repeated movements test would help me to rule out the LS pathologies.
Next step, I would skip pelvic and move to the hip segment to clear intra articular and extra articular

Altogether using cluster of findings including provocation testing, pain location, palpation, strength

There are new tests and measures in the monolith that I will definitely like to add to my evaluation for
SIJ. The integrate mobility tests; stork test, lumbo pelvis rhythm, sacral and Ilium motion evaluations,
I did not use in the past. Measuring spine, Ilium, sacrum, hip motion and movement patterns trough
palpation and observation, I believe, would add value on my evaluation. Also, McGill s endurance
tests (core ratio) are new for me to use with PGP patients. But I can see the correlation pelvic pain and
the strength level of the abdominals.
Overall, it is difficult to evaluate and diagnose pelvic joint dysfunction. The problem is that there is no
accepted reference standard for SIJ movement dysfunction. The anatomy of functional pelvic girdle,
load transfer system, and structural relationship and the pattern of intra pelvic motion during stance
and swing phase are important in evaluation a SIJ patient as their pain and

Poetry Finds Its Most Memorable Moments In Its Least...
Poetry finds its most memorable moments in its least characterized elements. It is in the words that are
not on the paper or spoken that poetry shines over other forms of communication. The quality and
depth of implications in a poem are what separate good from great. It is in the ability to say so much
by purposely not saying anything that makes poetry stand out in an observer s mind. Things left
incomplete or unsaid naturally stick out in people s minds as there is a want to see the full image or
completed thought. Leaving it open for interpretation not only promotes greater attention to other
details in the piece in order to make sense of that which is left unsaid, but also naturally promotes

Included in this anthology is a freestyle from Method Man, in it, he narrates a familiar scene unfolding
in the street.
Crime scene, coppers and sirens
Helicopters and high beams, the tensions is rising
Fiends keeping they pipe clean
This is what life means, a dollar and a dream
Everybody wants nice things
The kid was only nineteen, hole in his chest now
He s fighting, for his last breath
He s seeing death its frightening
The grip on the ghetto is tightening
You try to do the right thing? They do you just like King
In this narration, Method Man includes enough detail to give a vivid mental image of the scene that is
being played out in front of the listener. He masterfully uses different pronunciations and meter in
order to keep the rhythm through the piece and maintain his rhymes. He pronounces sirens like sireens
in order to rhyme it with high beams, and mixes in masculine rhymes at the beginning of his sentences
and feminine rhymes at the ends. With these tools he creates the image and implants it in the listener s
mind, but leaves out enough detail so that it could be any teen, shot for any reason, in any ghetto.
These important details being left unsaid give the rap a message that is applicable to any number of
people.

Gender Stereotypes In The Media
Gender stereotypes are everywhere. Even before we can understand what this means, people are
constantly exposed to them through advertisements, toys, clothes, and the media including television
shows and movies. To evaluate the prevalence of gender stereotypes in television programs targeted
towards young children, I chose to watch four different shows called Phineas and Ferb, Little
Einsteins, Horrid Henry, and Sofia the First. When picking what shows to watch, I intentionally
selected at least one that looked targeted towards boys, another that appeared to be targeted towards
girls, and finally one that seemed gender neutral. I also made sure to watch at least two episodes of
each program to determine whether the themes I observed were ... Show more content on

During this process, however, only one girl is ever included. In fact, I paused the show during a scene
when the friends were riding the rollercoaster, and counted 11 boys in compared to only one girl.
The second show I evaluated was a cartoon called Little Einsteins. This show features a group of four
friends, two boys and two girls, who go on a different adventure in each episode, usually in pursuit of
solving a specified problem. The problem in the first episode I watched was that one of the planet
Saturn s rings fell off and the group had to work together to try and return it back to space. This show,
in my opinion, had very little gender stereotyping, even with careful analysis as well as no violence. A
small aspect I did notice was that the two male characters were usually the ones to come up with
problem solving and heroic ideas while the girls were the ones asking questions like what are we
supposed to do? while more often scared in a problematic scenario. The physical appearances of the
characters also varied and I don t believe they were conforming to stereotypes, but instead, provided a
range of personalities and physical appearances that all types of kids could identify with. Prosocial
behavior is a big part of this show. This group of friends is constantly trying to solve problems that
benefit others, while not receiving anything beneficial themselves. For example, when the friends
decided to return Saturn s lost ring back to

Improving The Awareness Of Cervical Cancer
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
NEED FOR THIS RESEARCH:
1. To find the efficiency of Affordable Care Act in increasing the awareness of Cervical Cancer.
2. Dr. Ahmedin Jemal, one of the researchers said that the change of early detection and insurance
coverage for young under their own parents, made it impossible to compare the total number of
women who got screened before and after the health care law came into effect.
SOURCE OF DATA COLLECTED:
Researchers used the National Cancer Data Base, a hospital based registry of about 70 percent of all
cancer cases in the United States.
RESEARCH METHOD:
They compared diagnoses for women ages 21 to 25 who had cervical cancer with those for women
ages 26 to 34, before and after the health law provision began in 2010.
FINDINGS:
1. Findings are positive and showed a rise in early stage diagnoses among the younger group. About
79% of the younger group had an early stage diagnosis in 2011 12, when compared to 71% in 2007
09.
2. For the older group, the percentage dropped to 71 percent from 73 percent, a change that is not
statistically meaningful.
3. The effect for younger women looked even stronger when analyzed by year. About 84 percent of
the younger group had early stage diagnoses in 2011, compared with 68 percent in 2009.
4. Early stage diagnoses dropped to 72 percent of the group in 2012, a drop that was typical during
increases in screenings, because many of the early stage cases have already been detected.
5. You see the effect of the

Mother Infant Dyads Completed All Aspects Of The Study Essay
Method
Twenty four mother infant dyads completed all aspects of the study. Of those 24, 18 were Caucasian,
22 were married, eight of them had an annual family income of $50,000 to $74,999, and seven had an
annual family income of over $100,000. Also 16 of the participating mothers had a graduate degree.
Not only is the sample size very small, but the demographics of the mothers is greatly
disproportionate. With the majority of mothers being caucasian, educated, middle class, married
women, the sample size does not accurately represent the majority of the population who lives in
relative poverty and cannot afford to seek help. About half of the mothers had a history of depression
and were taking or had just started taking antidepressant medication when they first enrolled.
Considering the size of the sample, all the mothers should have been either prescription drug users, or
not, but not both. Prescription drug treatment for any depression significantly changes perceptions of
mood, skewing the results, and there is not enough women in the study to make a concise prognosis.
To assess the mothers postpartum psychiatric difficulties the Postpartum Depression Screening Scale
(PDSS; Beck Gable, 2000) was used. Prior to treatment, mothers completed a self report questionnaire
packed comprised of the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI; Derogatis, 1993), the Parenting Stress Index

Siddhartha By Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha Essay
In the short story Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha, the protagonist of the story was led on a
journey to reach enlightenment. Through his many realizations occurring in stages and phases,
Siddhartha experienced emotional, mental and physical changes. These stages marked the journey
Siddhartha underwent, and the destined metamorphism developed as he followed the path of
enlightenment.
In Siddhartha s first phase, Siddhartha, a wealthy Brahmin found that even though everyone loved
him, he could not bring himself joy and please himself (Hesse). This discontent was spurred by the
fact that the wise Brahmins had shared the majority and the best of their wisdom with him; yet, he was
not satisfied nor did this quench his thirst for knowledge but only fueled it (Hesse). Questions arose,
about sacrifices, happiness and Atman, did he who possessed so much wisdom live a blessed life
(Hesse)? At this moment in Siddhartha s life, he was without peace and he wanted to find answers to
these many questions. Focused and hellbent on the journey to enlightenment, Siddhartha made an
audacious decision to go to the Samanas [and] become a Samana (Hesse). Through hours of an
impasse between Siddharth and his father, his father finally agreed to let Siddhartha continue his life
journey that began with becoming a Samana. Through this phase, Siddhartha learned he was
unsatisfied with practices such as sacrificing, and that he had already achieved the wisdom obtainable

In contemporary society, the boost number of young people choose to go abroad to study. There are

However, second language learning has become one of the most serious problems for international

Also, the cultural exchange can provide the win win situation for professors and students. For
example, the opportunities to communicate with teachers become more because of the multilinguistic.

Queuing delay and packet loss. Many packets can arrive at a packet switch roughly at the same time.
If these packets need to be forwarded on the same outbound link, all but one will have to queue, that
is, wait to be transmitted. This waiting introduces a queuing delay. Furthermore, if the queue of
packets becomes very large, the packet switch s buffer may become exhausted, causing packets to be
dropped or lost. Queuing delay and packet loss can severely impact the performance of an application.
Protocol layers. A typical computer network makes use of many protocols easily hundreds. To deal
with this complexity, the protocols are organized into layers. These protocol layers are arranged in a
stack. For example, the Internet organizes its protocols into five layers namely, from top to bottom:

  • 2. Being A Hearing Impairment Problem The world is full of people but all people are not same in terms of fate. That is why some are physically and mentally fit while others are not lucky in this regard. The ones who are having any kind of disability are considered as special and that is why special treatment should be given to them so that they can be able to live their lives in an adequate manner. The disable persons especially children tend to face so many problems. If the child is deaf then he will have to face harsh behavior of the other children because neither he is able to express what he wants to say nor he is able to understand what others are saying. This document deals with the problems of Michael who is a five years old child and is having a hearing impairment problem. The document will discuss those strategies which are necessary to be implemented in order to support Michael in a school setting. In addition to this, it will also be discussed that in what ways Michael can be able to bridge the social and cultural gap (Javier, 2005). Hearing Impairment: According to Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) deafness or hearing impairment is defined as the inability of an individual to understand the verbal language due to inability to hear. According to this definition, Michael hearing problem has also affected his ability to understand the verbal language. The reason is that when the lesson is taught to the students, they tend to understand only if they are listening to what has been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Criminal Responsibility In Criminal Behavior Research Criminal responsibility revolves around intent, which is a theme in debate on culpability. The study to be reviewed was led by Williams et al (2010), which found at the age of 16, 46% of offenders interviewed reported TBI. The main cause of the TBI was violence. Reports of more than three TBIs were associated with a greater proportion of violence in criminal offences, suggesting number of TBI is positively correlated with number of aggressive acts. Research in the past similarly indicates individuals who experience traumatic brain injury (TBI) are more likely to commit future criminal acts (Raine et al, 2005). Individuals with TBI affecting the frontal lobes are at an increased risk of impulsive aggression and reduced affective empathy (Brower Price, 2001), characteristics evident in frequent offenders (Jolliffe Farrington, 2004). This suggests an increased risk of criminal behaviour, post TBI, especially when the frontal area is damaged. Thus, can TBI be used to reach the not guilty verdict in court, by reasons of diminished responsibility or can it be argued other premorbid variables at work? I critique Williams et al (2010) and propose when violent behaviour is the cause of TBI, there should be consideration of whether the behaviour ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They concluded substance abuse led to increased inhibition and violence resulting in more criminality and risk of TBI. Similarly, TBI criminals had a high occurrence of alcohol abuse both before and after TBI; those with substance abuse history were also more likely to commit crimes after TBI. Kreutzer et al (2009) concluded TBI is only a risk factor for criminality when there is a history of both criminality and substance abuse and should not be considered a risk factor in its own ... • 4. Federal Bureau of Investigation and White Collar Crimes White Collar Crime White Collar Crime White Collar Crimes are those illegal acts which are characterized by deceit, concealment, or violation of trust and which are not dependent upon the application or threat of physical force or violence. Individuals and organizations commit these acts to obtain money, property, or services; to avoid the payment or loss of money or services; or to secure personal or business advantage. ~Federal Bureau of Investigation More citizens around the world in the 21st century have a greater awareness and common knowledge or white collar crimes than in previous decades or centuries. In the west, Sutherland is known as the renowned sociologist who first publically announced and defined white collar crime around the beginning of World War II, though there is evidence of study and evidence of white collar crime present in the 19th century and before. The subject of white collar crime is one of moderate to serious contention, as even its consideration as a crime and its categorization within all of crime is debated fervently in the past and in the present. White collar crime is prevalent in the 21st century around the world, perhaps more so than in previous years because of the power and potential of technology to make possible and execute many examples of white collar crimes. Agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation additionally use technology as a means to prevent white collar crime as well as pursue white collar criminals. White ... The author walks through the perspective of Myop, who is a ten year old girl, having the time of life. Nemo was a piranha and Dog was a snapping turtle and they were really good friends. They would do a lot of things together and they wouldn t mind that Dog could eat Nemo. It was a sunny day when Nemo was going for a swim when he saw some other people talking. I am both ways, I think they should be kept in captivity but then again I feel bad and they should be. There are many reasons why animals are kept in captivity and I think that having them stay in a zoo is a lot better than having them stay in something way worse or locked up with the wrong people. A good zoo will provide great care and protection to animals in their care. They will be taken care of and loved by the workers. They will be shown off to the people that came to look at them. One day I decided I had to do something in order to change my situation, and I didn t care what the consequence would be. While walking back to the alley where I slept and kept my belongings, I had passed a dry cleaners. I decided at that moment this was where my plan was going to happen. • 9. Summary Of The Miraculous Journey Of Edward Tulane I have read this book a couple times now, and the many complex things I have learned are unbearable. Every chapter is important to what the end of the story is going to be. I think this story of a china rabbit finding his way back home had more plot twists than I thought this story would have. The first lesson that I will tell you will be to never give up hope on love, but to always know that somebody will find room in their hearts for you. When you figure out what love is, your heart will grow even bigger. Love can bring together the love of others around them. But love can also bring effect on others that have not seen what love can do to them. Love is not the impact of how expensive your belongings are. Nothing is more expensive than the price of love. And that s one of the lessons that I have learned from the book that I have read. In the beginning I read pages 5 thru 7 where edward specifically said: The china rabbit was in possession of an extraordinary wardrobe composed of handmade silk suits, custom shoes fashioned from the finest leather and designed specifically for his rabbit feet, and a wide array of hats equipped with holes so that they could easily fit over edward s large and expressive ears. Each pair of well cut pants had a small pocket for Edward s gold pocket watch (Page 7) writing from the book The Miraculous Journey Of Edward Tulane. and when I read that paragraph, I thought to myself, that not what love is about, love is about the trust of others ... • 11. Arterial Oxygen Saturation It is known that as altitude increases, atmospheric pressure decreases, as does the partial pressure of oxygen (Hall Table 44 1). That same table demonstrates that the partial pressures of both oxygen and carbon dioxide in the alveoli decrease as well. However, the alveolar water vapor pressure remains unchanged constant at 47mmHg no matter the altitude (Hall 561). The most deleterious result of these factors is that less oxygen is being delivered to the tissues. Fortunately for me, Guyton and Hall says that altitude has a relatively insignificant effect on arterial oxygen saturation at 9,000ft (Hall Figure 44 1). It is not until 10,000ft that arterial oxygen saturation begins to steeply decline. The physical affects of acute hypoxia according to Hall are drowsiness, lassitude, mental and muscle fatigue, sometimes headache, occasionally nausea, and sometimes euphoria. Low oxygen is immediately sensed by chemoreceptors in the carotid and aortic bodies, which then send signals to the respiratory centers of the brain, resulting in an increase in respiration. At the eighth floor, there were bins and bins of scraps, since the last time they were picked up and sold to cotton mills was January, and the fire happened midway into March. During this time period there were three individuals that had dominated the art world. These three artists are Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Even though this paper discusses about the High Renaissance and the three who dominated it, the main focus of the paper is on Leonardo Da Vinci. Even though he mad such famous paintings, he was not a prolific painter; he was prolific draftsman as well as a great engineer, architect, inventor, and scientist. Besides having many famous paintings, Da Vinci also had thousands of drawings, sketches, and doodles that he is famous for. The drawings contained many notes of what he was interested. There are drawings of the study of the human body, of his inventions and just things he see is interesting. In art history, the High Renaissance period refers to a short period in which there was an exceptional artistic production in the Italian states. The reason why this part of the Reniasance period is called the High Renaissance is because it has been seen as the time in which the artistic aim and goals of the Renaissance has reached their greatest application (n.d.). The High Renaissance style was the dominant art style during 16th century Italy. Many historians believe that three individuals dominated this time period of art. These individuals are Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The oldest of the three was Leonardo Da Vinci Leonardo Da Vinci was a universal genius. He was not only just the best painter of the world at the time, but he was also known as a great inventor, architect, engineer and scientist. Even though he was great in many fields, he is mostly known from his achievements as the painter of many famous Renaissance art masterpieces. Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 near the village of Vinci, which is 25 miles away from Florence. Da Vinci was the illegitimate son of a local of Florence and a prominent notary Florence, Ser Piero Da Vinci. Not much of his childhood is known, but as a teen he became an apprentice of Andrea del Verrochio, the leading artist of Florence and the early Reniassance (2017). Later on Leonardo ... • 16. The Law Is Made Under The First Amendment Of The United... I. Introduction In modern American society, there is little thought in how and why the laws came to be. There is a natural assumption that the laws were made to protect the people and society. The law is made under the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States which give the right to the people to seek its government for redress of any grievances. Utilizing this right, it gives rise to new laws to be enacted and old laws to be amended or repealed, in the ever developing society. As the American society progresses, we become more acceptant to compromise our core values. The value of speaking and writing has been reduced to redundant, ambiguous and vague, incomplete thoughts. Our mannerisms are guised and restricted to fit the occasion and are hardly rendered otherwise. And our due diligence to prove and maintain our status in our sexual encounters are becoming a requirement to endure in our daily lives, regardless of age. Consequently, Americans and its society are evidently hypersexualized, accurately stated within the book Sexidemic: A Cultural History of Sex in America (Lawrence R. Samuel), [t]o say that sex plays a major role in everyday life in America would be an understatement (particularly because it is the source of life itself). A brief summary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Perhaps one of the most important points made by Gladwell in this book is that neither analytical nor intuitive thinking is good or bad. But under chaotic conditions, the lesser the information available, the better because information overload can delay decisions, and under pressure, delayed decisions are worse than bad decisions. Gladwell illustrates this with an astonishing example of an experiment where sales of a jam shop were as high as thirty percent more when they had only six types of jam than when they had twenty four. What Gladwell calls thin slicing or rapid cognition, should be done in context. Examples of the market researches on taste test of Coke and Pepsi samples, survey of people s acceptance of Michael Kenna s music and two radically new TV shows on CBS have been quoted to emphasize the importance of context in thin slicing. Numerous instances of products that received higher acceptance among the public only because they were packaged differently make it clear to us that thin slicing is useful only when done the right way. When a product is new and different, it is vulnerable to market research, which in most cases is not done in the right context, thus leading to the product being shelved. Having established the fact that rapid cognition is not always as accurate as one would want it to be, Gladwell now goes on to the topic of reading the minds of others just by looking ... • 18. Comparison Of The Arthurian Legend Of Tristan And Isoud Tristan and Isoud The Arthurian legend of Tristan and Isoud is a timeless tale of two people in surreptitious love. Tristan being the nephew of King Mark and his obligation to the chivalric code are the couple s greatest hurdles inhibiting their relationship from prospering. Isoud and Tristan s legend changes from merely being means of entertainment about two forbidden lovers in Le Morte D Arthur, by Thomas Malory, to having a deeper purpose in Cornwall s Wonderland, by Mabel Quiller Couch. Couch s version of the tale provides perspective on not only what the couple goes through, but also makes the story relatable to her readers during the time of World War I and women s rights being limited. World War I s impact on people at the time is devastating and Couch knows that her audience is looking for an escape when reading, whereas Malory is simply telling a story for the fun of it and not the details. Tristan becomes very distraught from his loneliness and as a result he goes to Brittany to find Iseult la Blanche Mains, or Iseult of the White Hands in an effort to ease his pain of losing his true love La Belle Isoud. In Cornwall s Wonderland, Tristan knows that Iseult la Blanche Mains has feelings for him and he feels that at least one person in the love triangle deserves to be happy. • 19. Encryption Is The Process Of Encoding Information Abstract Introduction to Encryption Encryption is the process of encoding information in such a way that only the person (or computer) with the key can decode it. Encryption is a way to enhance the security of a message or file by scrambling the contents so that it can be read only by someone who has the right encryption key to unscramble it. Encryption has widely been used to protect data in numerous areas, such as e commerce, online banking, cloud storage, online communication and so forth. For example, if you purchase something from a website, the information for the transaction (such as your address, phone number, and credit card number) is usually encrypted to help keep it safe. Another example of a cipher (encrypt) can be, for instance, the replacing of the letters in a message with the ones one forward in the alphabet. So if your original message read Meet you at the cafe tonight the encrypted message reads as follows: Nffu zpv bu uif dbgf upojhiu . Types of Encryption In encryption we have 3 different types ⊁ Hashing ⊁ Symmetric ⊁ Asymmetric Hashing: The first encryption method, called hashing, creates a unique, fixed length signature for a message or data set. Hashes are created with an algorithm, or hash function, and people commonly use them to compare sets of data. Since a hash is unique to a specific message, even minor changes to that message result in a dramatically different hash, thereby alerting a user to potential tampering. A key difference ... In present day, scientists are still discovering new concepts on the topic of evolution and adaptation on the molecular level of science. Modern research topics have gone deeper into the molecular field to better understand the evolution that took place within a species. Evolutionary biologists have begun to research the genetic architecture of evolutionary adaptation and speciation. Researchers seek to find answers to questions such as how large is the effect of specific genes and what sort of changes result from certain genes. Birds have been an organism that researchers focus on to understand key components in evolution because of their close relation to many different species of animals. Darwin s Finches Charles Darwin began this revolutionary research by studying a group of finches on the Galapagos Islands. His interest in the similarity between different species of finches led to the understanding of evolution that scientists use as basis for modern day research. The beaks of birds were Darwin s main focal point and continue to be the aspect that reveals most about evolution and adaption. The reason for beaks importance in the evolution of birds is because of the correlation between beak size and diet and survival, a relationship that Darwin discovered. Then as the malleus vibrates, it transmits sound waves to the incus and stapes. The incus and stapes are two small bones that are part of the middle ear. They are also called ossicles. As the stapes move, it pushes the oval window in and out. This movement is passed to an auditory inner ear that functions to convert sound vibrations into neural messages. This inner ear is called the cochlea. Then the spiral organ Corti, which is located in the cochlea, is sent into action every time the oval window ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Natural Law Vs Divine Command Theory The Theory of Natural Law, may be define in three aspects, there being a natural order in the world, everything having a purpose and how things are and how things ought to be. This theory also states that humans can distinguish between what is right or wrong through human reason/moral knowledge. On the other hand, the Divine Command Theory is a view of morality and states that what s right or wrong is set by God s moral commands. God s commands tell us what is morally obligatory, permitted and wrong. The Natural Law tells that humans have a moral knowledge/reason that makes us able to decide what s right. This has caused various debates on whether people did the right because it was the right thing to do or because that s what God commands. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, not all the Ten Commandants are easy to follow or even go with the time we are living in. One of the Ten Commandants states that we should not take the name of the Lord in vain, yet today the Lord s name it s something we say on a daily basis. In addition, religious followers may decide to act in a harmful or negative way in society and defend themselves by saying that God has command them to do it; which may lead to extreme religions, where its followers may take every word of the book to heart and try to carry out those views on their society. This theory makes us question on whether who came first, God or right, which I believe that right came first. When comparing the Divine Command with the Minimum Conception, it can be deduced that both are very differing from each other. One of the reasons is that with the Divine Command, God chooses for us what it s right or wrong and if it became a moral system, atheists will feel out of place because they have a different set of believe just like other religions. In conclusion, while both the Natural Law Theory and the Divine Command Theory have aspects that I don t agree on, both brought interesting ways to look at the world and the origin of our morals. Personally, I agree more with the Natural Law, since I believe that people do act on moral knowledge and the world has a natural order. Both theories showed me the various ways people may think about God and what s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Vaccines contain harmful ingredients that can cause life time medical issues. I feel as if I did not fully gain the attention of my audience. I kept messing up with my wording, causing people to lose focus. I related my topic to the audience fairly well, I gave a short story about a boy whose parents did not take him to the hospital when they should have, and he passed. • 32. The Nature Of Inner Peace The nature of inner peace is complex and multifaceted. Peace is not merely the absence of hostility, violence or war but encompasses a larger concept whereby inner peace is attained. Peace begins with individual awareness and personal response to the teachings of the religious traditions. An individual s understanding of peace is expressed through the principal teachings drawn from the sacred texts of Christianity and Islam that is, the New Testament and the Quran respectively. These teachings guide individuals in achieving inner peace and hence through this allow them to contribute to world peace. Initially, a Christian adherent s understanding of Peace is informed through the sacred writings within the New Testament. Jesus, the prince of peace challenged people to live the essence of the law rather than just an outward show of religious observance. As stated in Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God . Jesus use of Shalom, goes beyond the absence of war as it emphasises the need for harmony in relationships which result in God s blessing. This idea is reinforced in Matthew 5:43 45 Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you...God makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous . This teaching targets the challenge for many adherents in that Jesus stated people should not take revenge on others,to maintain outer and inner peace. Hence, the New Testament are an ... • 33. John Venn Essay Life of John Venn John Venn was born on August 4, 1834, in Hull, England. His parents were Martha Sykes and Reverend Henry Venn. Unfortunately, Venn s mother died when he was only three years old. Venn was brought up in a very strict home. His father had played a significant part in the Evangelical movement and he was also the secretary of the Society for Missions to Africa and the East. Venn started his education at Highgate with his brother Henry in September 1846. He later moved to Islington proprietary school. He later earned his degree in mathematics in 1857 from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Having earned a fellowship there as well, Venn would establish a long term career at his alma mater, becoming a lecturer in 1862 and being appointed college president. He maintained that position for life. In 1859, following after his father s religious tradition, Venn was ordained as a priest for the Church of England and did religious work for a short time before returning to Caius College . In 1868, he married Susanna Carnegie Edmonstone with whom he had one son, John Archibald Venn. He eventually resigned from the clergy in 1883, because Anglicanism was incompatible with his philosophical beliefs. But he still remained involved in the church. His most famous accomplishment was in 1866, writing The Logic of Chance, a groundbreaking book that explained the frequency theory of probability. • 34. Minority Groups In Japan Essay Japan is a developed country that has become so advanced and culturally defined by the integration of many different cultures throughout many centuries. The Korean and Ainu minority groups are strong influential actors whose behaviour is bringing structural change to the existing social hierarchy in contemporary Japan. Their aims are centered around the change in Japan s ethnocentric outlook and to create a national society of acceptance, rights, education in hopes to end the discrimination towards these minority groups. Japan has always been a country built upon the acceptance of science and technology of other countries, but has failed to accept the integration of the populations of people from those nations who immigrated to Japan. This essay will talk about minority groups in Japan and their effect on Japan s social hierarchy in the contemporary era. However, I counter my argument that other minority groups are not part of this transformation, such as the minority group of day time labourers and how they do not work as a social actor bringing change to the Japanese social hierarchy. Japan is a multiethnic and multicultural society, but the majority of their residents hold very strong beliefs of the pureness of a person and their status in the country based on heritage and personal background, (Lecture, Sept 12). During postwar Japan there was a heavy emphasis on unity and homogeneity of the people rather than diversity, (Lecture, Nov 30). As a result, the country s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is in the words that are not on the paper or spoken that poetry shines over other forms of communication. The quality and depth of implications in a poem are what separate good from great. It is in the ability to say so much by purposely not saying anything that makes poetry stand out in an observer s mind. Things left incomplete or unsaid naturally stick out in people s minds as there is a want to see the full image or completed thought. Even before we can understand what this means, people are constantly exposed to them through advertisements, toys, clothes, and the media including television shows and movies. To evaluate the prevalence of gender stereotypes in television programs targeted towards young children, I chose to watch four different shows called Phineas and Ferb, Little Einsteins, Horrid Henry, and Sofia the First. During this process, however, only one girl is ever included. In fact, I paused the show during a scene when the friends were riding the rollercoaster, and counted 11 boys in compared to only one girl. The second show I evaluated was a cartoon called Little Einsteins. This show features a group of four friends, two boys and two girls, who go on a different adventure in each episode, usually in pursuit of solving a specified problem. The problem in the first episode I watched was that one of the planet Saturn s rings fell off and the group had to work together to try and return it back to space. This show, in my opinion, had very little gender stereotyping, even with careful analysis as well as no violence. A small aspect I did notice was that the two male characters were usually the ones to come up with problem solving and heroic ideas while the girls were the ones asking questions like what are we supposed to do? while more often scared in a problematic scenario. The physical appearances of the characters also varied and I don t believe they were conforming to stereotypes, but instead, provided a range of personalities and physical appearances that all types of kids could identify with. Prosocial behavior is a big part of this show. This group of friends is constantly trying to solve problems that benefit others, while not receiving anything beneficial themselves. Dr. Ahmedin Jemal, one of the researchers said that the change of early detection and insurance coverage for young under their own parents, made it impossible to compare the total number of women who got screened before and after the health care law came into effect. SOURCE OF DATA COLLECTED: Researchers used the National Cancer Data Base, a hospital based registry of about 70 percent of all cancer cases in the United States. RESEARCH METHOD: They compared diagnoses for women ages 21 to 25 who had cervical cancer with those for women ages 26 to 34, before and after the health law provision began in 2010. FINDINGS: 1. Findings are positive and showed a rise in early stage diagnoses among the younger group. About 79% of the younger group had an early stage diagnosis in 2011 12, when compared to 71% in 2007 09. 2. For the older group, the percentage dropped to 71 percent from 73 percent, a change that is not statistically meaningful. 3. The effect for younger women looked even stronger when analyzed by year. About 84 percent of the younger group had early stage diagnoses in 2011, compared with 68 percent in 2009. 4. Of those 24, 18 were Caucasian, 22 were married, eight of them had an annual family income of $50,000 to $74,999, and seven had an annual family income of over $100,000. Also 16 of the participating mothers had a graduate degree. Not only is the sample size very small, but the demographics of the mothers is greatly disproportionate. With the majority of mothers being caucasian, educated, middle class, married women, the sample size does not accurately represent the majority of the population who lives in relative poverty and cannot afford to seek help. About half of the mothers had a history of depression and were taking or had just started taking antidepressant medication when they first enrolled. Considering the size of the sample, all the mothers should have been either prescription drug users, or not, but not both. Prescription drug treatment for any depression significantly changes perceptions of mood, skewing the results, and there is not enough women in the study to make a concise prognosis. Through his many realizations occurring in stages and phases, Siddhartha experienced emotional, mental and physical changes. These stages marked the journey Siddhartha underwent, and the destined metamorphism developed as he followed the path of enlightenment. In Siddhartha s first phase, Siddhartha, a wealthy Brahmin found that even though everyone loved him, he could not bring himself joy and please himself (Hesse). This discontent was spurred by the fact that the wise Brahmins had shared the majority and the best of their wisdom with him; yet, he was not satisfied nor did this quench his thirst for knowledge but only fueled it (Hesse). Questions arose, about sacrifices, happiness and Atman, did he who possessed so much wisdom live a blessed life (Hesse)? At this moment in Siddhartha s life, he was without peace and he wanted to find answers to these many questions. Focused and hellbent on the journey to enlightenment, Siddhartha made an audacious decision to go to the Samanas [and] become a Samana (Hesse). Through hours of an impasse between Siddharth and his father, his father finally agreed to let Siddhartha continue his life journey that began with becoming a Samana. End systems also called hosts include desktop PCs, laptops, hand held network devices (including cell phones, PDAs, and BlackBerries), sensors, and servers (such as Web and mail servers). Many packets can arrive at a packet switch roughly at the same time. If these packets need to be forwarded on the same outbound link, all but one will have to queue, that is, wait to be transmitted. Queuing delay and packet loss can severely impact the performance of an application. Protocol layers. A typical computer network makes use of many protocols easily hundreds. To deal with this complexity, the protocols are organized into layers. These protocol layers are arranged in a stack. For example, the Internet organizes its protocols into five layers namely, from top to bottom: application layer, transport layer, network layer, link layer, and physical layer.
