Denzel Washington Rhetorical Speech
In order to deliver a successful speech, there are countless qualities that must be present to reach both
the emotional and logical sense within a crowd. Through the use of rhetorical strategies and by
remaining credible, a speaker or an author can connect with their audience; getting them involved with
their writing. In May of 2011, a man by the name of Denzel Washington used multiple rhetorical
strategies to deliver a graduation speech at the University of Pennsylvania. While revealing all of the
difficult times that he had gone through while in college and discovering what career he wanted to
pursue, he inspired millions of people, leaving a profound effect upon the world. Now, with millions
of fans, Washington is a famous actor that has starred in numerous movies such as Courage Under
Fire, Crimson Tide, and Malcolm X. Washington, along with the authors: Aristotle, Peter Elbow, and
Donald Murray, and many others, have made a big difference in the world, simply by using rhetorical
strategies. The rhetorical strategy, repetition, not only works to get the audience involved, it also
makes the point of the speech clear and helps appeal to the audience s emotion. Washington explained
that he honestly never understood why he would want to fall back on something, instead, he wanted to
fall forward, therefore; he would be able to see where he s actually going to fall. Fall forward. Here s

Toshiba Notebook
1. Case Summary
Toshihiro Nakamura, manufacturing engineering section head, examined the prototype assembly
process heet for the newest subnotebook computer model. When every new model was designed,
considerable attention was directed toward; * reducing the numbers of components, * simplifying
parts production and * assembly requirements.
This new computer s production was scheduled to begin in 10 days. Initial production for new model
was to be at 150 units/day, increasing to 250 units/ day the following week. Eventually production
should reach 300 units/ day.

Significance Of The Crucible
Another book read and added to Goodreads, but why was The Crucible chosen to be read in class?
What is the importance? This book gives so many lesson. The title gives so many key aspects that are
still applied to today. The Crucible by Arthur Miller fits its name because of the conflicts the story
contains and how it can connect still today with the crucibles such as revenge and pride we face. A
crucible can be defined in two definitions and one being, a piece of laboratory equipment used to hold
and heat up liquids. How does this relate to the story? It only relates with science. On the contrary, this
definition is relevant to the story. In one of the scenes, Parris and Hathorne are talking about the Salem
community and what is happening due to the witchcraft trials. I ll tell you what is said here, sir.
Andover have thrown the court, they say, and will have no part of witchcraft. There be a faction here

Her revenge consisted of accusing Elizabeth of witchcraft and have her go to jail. Just as Abigail
wanted revenge on Elizabeth, we do the same today. One example of this would be the boyfriend
girlfriend scenario. How many times do we want revenge after a breakup? We as people are not happy
with being in our minds humiliated that we have to have the upper hand. This is just the one of many
examples of the revenge we to do and the feelings we have. Besides the feeling of revenge, another
example would be the pride Proctor

Concert Review Moores Opera House
For my second concert review, I attended the Wind Ensemble in the Moores Opera House. The
previous concert was somewhat disappointing because there were one or two performers who did not
meet my expectations (i.e. squeaking on the saxophone, failing to play a note, etc.). Hence, I did not
have many expectations for this concert either. Both performances occurred in the same venue,
however, this time there were some brass performing off stage. The majority of the instruments on
stage were woodwinds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone), percussion/piano,
string (bass and harp), and several brass members (trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and
tuba) that were both on and off stage. The conductor was on stage, like in a traditional orchestral
setting, communicating with the performers through hand gestures and occasionally pointing.
Performers would switch out, when necessary, as the conductor introduced the next piece or sit ...

Our previous lessons on rhythm and melody could be applied to any musical piece, but tying them to
musical expression is critical in understanding the meaning of various pieces. Students can then build
on what they ve learned to interpret what each artist is trying to depict in their songs i.e. their tone,
feelings, etc. towards the subject of the piece. In addition, lesson plans may tie the interpretations of
the piece to historical movements or current events ongoing now. Upon having a previous concert
experience, I must say that I enjoyed the wind ensemble concert more than the jazz concert. In
comparison to the previous concert, I think the greater variety of instruments creates more complex
and layered tunes which sounds more pleasing to the ears. This concert has also given me first hand
experience to listen for the concepts taught in class i.e. chords, ostinato,

In-Depth Analysis Of The Lottery
My entire semester was devoted to the in depth analysis of the lottery, and the debate of it being a
blessing or a curse. In relation to the lottery and the controversy I thought it would be more beneficial
in this documentary project to actually show you, which brought me to animaker. In the animated
video I illustrate four characters, one which in fact wins the lottery and becomes a different person. In
the video it takes you through the altercations of his psychological, behavioral, and social health
endanger and altered for the worse just as it was explained in the argumentative research essay. The
girl in the video named Zana explains why the lottery initiates the ruins of a person, there was also
two others that is presented in the video that argued against her points. However in regards to their
argument she show them the reasoning in a visual way through Matt s testimony. Psychologically ...

spent on the lottery, the odds of winning, and the investment that went nowhere for America. There
was pathos, when their friend was a prime examples of what happens to winners, as they in fact lose.
Lastly was the logic which incorporated the evidence in relation to the characters and the facts that
were elaborate on. Although, all point that were presented to the audience had a purpose, the strongest
appeal would have to be ethos. With the acknowledgment of facts, statistics, and scholarly insight to
the situation, it gave support to the rebuttal s that were imbedded into the film by the other characters.
It s hard to argue with facts and as realization in this ethos sank in with the incorporation of Matt and
his situation, it conclusively gave way to a more clear and precise point in response to this

External Growth for a Business Essay
Using this example and any others with which you are familiar, assess the potential implications for
business of external growth as compared with organic growth.
Organic growth is when a firm expands its existing capacity or range of activities by extending its
premises or building new factories for example. External growth however is when two or more
businesses come together via a merger or a take over.
There are many implications of external growth. One of the main implications is the ignorance of the
different cultures supported by the two different firms. It involves a lot of time for a firm to talk out
differences which is generally unsupported by senior managers having little time. This reflects on poor
leadership and unclear ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

negatively to the announcement with shares in both companies collapsing after just two days. HP

On September 04, 2001, two leading players in the global computer industry Hewlett Packard
Company (HP) and Compaq Computer Corporation (Compaq) announced their merger. HP was to buy
Compaq for US$ 24 billion in stock in the biggest ever deal in the history of the computer industry.
The merged entity would have operations in more than 160 countries with over 145,000 employees,
and would offer the industry s most complete set of products and services. The merger however did
not help HP to compete with rivals such as IBM who was the market leader. With shares collapsing
just after the merge, analysis s opined that the company should be a standalone company that sells
printers alone.
Poor communication between people at each level in the organisation and the other organisation it is
merging with is one of the main reasons why mergers fail. Mergers are normally made at the top end
of hierarchies leaving middle management and lower employees in the dark making the demoted

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Thesis

Television shows have often been a popular source of entertainment with its dynamic characters,
exciting plot twists, and unexpected cliffhangers. Viewers are now able to enjoy a dramatically
increasing variety of television shows with diverse genres. One show, in particular, has introduced
several new and original ideas to both television shows and movies after its premiere: Buffy the
Vampire Slayer. Joss Whedon s adaptation of Buffy the Vampire Slayer has influenced science fiction
television shows and movies by inspiring a long arc plot style in current television shows, introducing
LGBTQ characters to television, becoming an inspiration which helped increase the amount of female

Buffy the Vampire Slayer s debut in 1997 reinforces the concept that ...since the late 1990s/early
2000s, the sympathetic vampire...has become distinctly more common in popular fiction and film than
the monstrous stereotype as a vicious killer (qtd. in Parke and Wilson 179). Throughout the Buffy
series, one of Buffy s main love interests has been Angel, an outcast vampire who has empathy for
humans (e.g., he does not harm humans unless provoked, he protects Buffy and her friends from other
vampires). As opposed to the other vampires in Buffy, Angel has a soul and experiences guilt for his
past crimes. Writer Lorna Jowett (of Buffy, Dark Romance and Female Horror Fans) introduces the
idea that Buffy the Vampire Slayer has impacted science fiction (paranormal, in particular) by a theme
of dark romance : ...its male protagonists are powerful and dangerous, often presented as stereotypical
bad boys, and the fact that they are vampires or werewolves positions them naturally , both
monstrosity and masculinity (qtd in Stuller 92). A notable bad boy in Buffy is the vampire, Spike: he
is a soulless and sadistic who eventually rebels against the Anointed One (a supernatural being who is
prophesized to lead vampires into power). Although Spike is portrayed as a merciless killer, he is
devoted to his first lover (Drusilla) although his commitment to her was not reciprocal and reveals a
softer side of himself to Buffy when he helps her cope with her death and resurrection. Although
Buffy and Spike develop a romantic relationship, he accepts that she will never be able to fully return
his feelings. Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries is strongly influence and essentially mirrors
Spike s bad boy characteristics: similar to Spike, he is a selfish rebel whose actions are solely meant to
benefit himself. Damon also

The Psychosocial Theory Of Life Span Development
Developmental Analysis
Melissa Snyder
Liberty University
Abstract
Life span development, and ultimately who we are and become as a person, is influenced by many
different things that include biologic, cognitive, and socio emotional factors. These different areas of
development can be positively or negatively affected by environmental factors and stressors. If those
negative environmental factors are not dealt with by the time a person reaches adulthood, there is a
likelihood that the person will develop dysfunctional personalities and struggle to maintain healthy
relationships. According to Eric Erickson, those positive and negative environmental factors influence
the individual s development differently when it is experienced during a particular stage of
development. Erickson s psychosocial theory of development asserts that there are eight stages of
development that each person passes through over the course of their life. Each stage has a specific
goal that can be attained by resolving particular conflicts. This conflict resolution will result in a
healthy, well balanced individual. This paper will look at each stage of Erickson s psychosocial theory
of life span development and how it applies to my own development.
Erik Erikson s theory of psychosocial development was greatly influenced by Freud and his
psychoanalytic theory. Both Freud and Erikson believed that the life span included distinct stages that

How Did Barbie Changed
A lot has changed since 1959! Barbie was created in March of 1959, by an American businesswoman
named Ruth Handler. Ruth use to watch her daughter Barbara play with paper dolls, and noticed that
she loved using her paper dolls as adults instead of infants which all of the dolls were back in 1959.
Barbie was based off of a German doll called Bild Lilli. Every girl wanted her own Barbie and they
still do! Every time a new Barbie comes out it s to represent the era s new fashion statements, new
makeup trends and the bodies of how woman should look but a lot has changed since the first ever
Barbie s to now day Barbie s. Barbie has become a lot more controversial and more accurate to how
women s bodies really are.
Fashion of the Barbie dolls has changed dramatically over time. The fashion from 1959 is definitely
not the same to the fashion we have today in 2016. Barbie s makeup and clothes go by popular styles
that happens in that period of time. The Barbie dolls back in the day were dressed appropriate to the

Daniel 6: 6 10
Background: Daniel 1 10 (Explain who the Satraps and Administrators are and how Daniel was one of
them but when then had came up with the plan to make it wrong to pray to anyone but the king the
decided to attack connection with his God.) Will write in this part... Soon...
Introduction of Points:
Prayer is the most power thing you have in your toolbox. There are so many things you can do true
this thing we call prayer. Prayer can get you out of trouble even when people are trying to put in you
trouble. As we look at our text today we see that now the administrators and people over power over
the land have produced a law that makes it basically illegal to pray to anyone other then kind Darius

He knew that no matter what was going on at the governmental level, he knew what was going on that
the Godly level was more powerful. Today we live in world were things have never happened before,
we have leaders much like the satraps and administrators. The person in charge of the United States is
signing orders and laws that don t make any sense are often times they do not line up with we as
follower of Christ believe. But how many times to we look at these things and immediately turn off
the TV and pray about them like we ought ton as Daniel did? The passages tell us that when he knew
the word knew in the tense lets me know that he found out fairly quickly and being as how he was an
administrator he would have known almost instantly. But he didn t call his buddies to complain but he
decided to go to God in prayer.
Application:
When you have conversations with people they don t mean anything all to often we want to call up
people a gossip and just talk about our problems but that does not yield anything you still must go
back to what you were doing before the situation occurred, but when you talk to God that is a
conversation that has power. That is a conversation that has some backbone, you can pray to King
Darrius if you want to but what is he going to do about and plus he can t hear them all, But God hears
every prayer and cad do something about it!

Email Marketing In Travel And Tourism
Analyses results by looking for an e mail marketing service that provides analytics tools, Use analytics

better results (SBDC, 2010).
Rautanen, (2012) summarize that in general, while searching for alternative marketing and
communication channels that have well established ROI (return of investment) none have come even
close to email marketing. Simply, it is just so easy and cheap to do that even though results are not
totally satisfying it still has better ROI than other channels that can be used.

Experian, (2013) adds that email is a growing source of traffic within the travel industry and although
not as prominent as search, it provides a very different role as a digital channel. Email presents
excellent opportunities to nurture existing customers, to cross sell other travel products, and to build
brand loyalty. One of the keys to unlocking the potential of email marketing in travel is to understand
that the seasonality of email works differently to other digital channels. Moreover, this provides a
great opportunity for marketers in the travel and tourism industry to keep their brand and services
fresh in the minds of their target audience for even longer with some clever email marketing (Clowes,
2015). Alikilic, (2008) mentions that travel tourism practitioners introduce email that is one of the
most reliable new medium as the ecommerce driver and customer relationship builder, they also point
out that customers still rely on email for their travel and holiday purchasing information, ideas, news
and interactive services. Especially email as a communication channel is the most effective marketing
vehicle for tourism marketers to analyse real time data at such a deep level. Moreover, email produces
the highest response rate for lead generation of direct mail methods and email is the cheapest way of
running a travel campaign. In addition, Buhalis and Jun, (2011) show that hoteliers and travel firms

Fairy Tale Conventions
In her collection Kissing the Witch, Emma Donoghue breaks apart and reconstructs the fairy tale by
expertly retelling thirteen classic tales in a manner that subverts both societal conventions and the
conventions of the fairytale genre. In each retelling, Donoghue takes the iconic imagery and basic
premise of a given fairy tale, but twists components of the plot and more richly develops the character
of her heroines often ending with a happily ever after (or not so happily ever after) that is vastly
different from the traditional versions of the tales. In so doing so, she circumvents the social standards
that the established versions of the tale uphold. By definition, fairy tales are stories in constant flux,
but each version of the tale ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the story of Tale of the Shoe progresses, Cinderella becomes increasingly cognizant of her role
within a constructed fairy tale archetype. Before going to the ball for the 3rd time, she claims that she
didn t have to listen to the barking voices to know how the story went, and later comments that the
scene as the prince is about to propose is all very fairy tale (5 6.) Even without directly listening to the
voices and the societal conventions they represent, these instances in which the 4th wall is broken
reveal that Cinderella feels as though she must adhere to the conventions of the archetypal Cinderella
story. By extension, she feels as though she must adhere to the expectations that go along with the
Cinderella narrative namely love and marriage to the prince, thereby limiting her personal freedom
and capacity for action. Yet Cinderella begins to feel that these story conventions and expectations are
shallow. In the description of the 3rd night s ball, Cinderella remarks that the musicians played the
same song over and over while Cinderella herself danced like a clockwork ballerina (6.) The
references of the repeated song and mechanical nature of the dancing gives the scene a sense of
monotony and fakeness, demonstrating Cinderella s discomfort with the pre written steps of the
archetypal Cinderella narrative. As the prince proposes, Cinderella compares him to an actor on a
creating stage, a simile that further exposes him and the whole narrative situation as inorganic as an
actor simply working through the motions of a pre written script. As he speaks, Cinderella claims that
she can see the future in his words, fearing the long procession of years to come and her pre
prescribed future should she marry him. Thus, even

Dear White People Film Analysis
In 1964, the Civil Rights Act was enacted by the 88th United States Congress, outlawing any
discrimination in the United States. With the Civil Rights Act, and the election America s first Black
president Barack Obama, in 2008, America was gradually becoming a post racial society after a long
history of racism that dates back to the 17th century. History, in conjunction with current events,
exposes how America, the land of the free and the home of the brave is nowhere near a post racial
society because of white privilege, a broken system, and a new form of slavery; all created by the
majority of the United States. The white population of the United States is 62.6% of the nation s total
population, therefore we are part of a nation that is controlled by white people. Because they make up
a big percentage of this nation, they control the system and institutions, and set it up in a way that only
they get to benefit from. People of color, make up part of what is called the minority or the problem of

When you are attracted to someone you believe that it is because you think they caught your eye or

to someone. Smell, fertility, masculinity, and the golden ratio are all factors in attraction. Science has
affected who our ancestors chose for mates and now it is affecting us.
Smell? Yes, smell is actually a big factor in mating. Pheromones are a type of scent bearing chemical

Yes, math. It is proven that humans are more attracted to other humans if their bodies and faces are
more proportional. What determines if humans are in proportion is the Golden Ratio. The Golden
Ratio originates from Greece and is based on Fibonacci Numbers created by Leonardo Fibonacci in
1200 AD, which is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two numbers before it ,
for example 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21 and so on. If you divide every number by the one in front of it you
get decimals that are very close to each other for example: 1.60, 1.61, 1.62. This is where we get Phi
from (1.6180339887) . The Golden Ratio is 1:1.6180339887. It wasn t until the 1900 s that American
mathematician Mark Barr used the Greek letter phi (Φ) for this proportion.
Artists also use the golden ratio to make paintings. Leonardo Da Vinci created many drawings that
revolved around the Golden Ratio. His drawings consist of a circle, a square, and the length from
navel to head and navel to the foot. The golden ratio doesn t only exist in humans, but also Architects
throughout history have used this ratio to make buildings. Pyramids, The Parthenon, and Notre Dame
in Paris are all made with the golden ratio. We also see this in nature in tree branches, shells, and

Salt in Moderation is Good for the Body
Salt in moderation is actually good for the body. It helps with certain stomach acids, maintains the
balance of fluids, helps in transmitting nerve impulses, and helps muscle control. The kidneys balance
the amount of salt stored by the body for optimum health. If, however, too much sodium is stored in
the body, and the kidneys cannot get rid of it properly; it will cause serious health complications.
Over use of table salt contributes leads to retaining fluid in the body, which in turn contributes to high
blood pressure and heart disease. These are only some of the complications occurring with overuse of
salt. Brittle bones and kidney disease are other examples of consuming too much salt.
The average person needs only 1,500 mg of salt in their daily diet but consumes 3,500 mg of salt or
more every day. Some people do not realize that processed foods and fast foods are very high in salt
and salt additives. For example, pizza, and cold cuts, bacon, and even bread contain high amounts of
salt. Some natural foods contain salt like vegetables and dairy products. Using table salt for cooking
and flavoring foods can have as mc as 1,000 mg of salt in one tablespoon of soy sauce and other
condiments, which are added after cooking. Using sea salt together with different herbs and spices
help lower amount of salt consumed every day and, by using herbs and spices to substitute salt
completely, one can develop better flavor. Natural herbs have many health benefits. Take

Differences Between Of Mice And Men Movie And Movie
Of Mice and Men Movie review ~ Erica Oversen
Usually people say that the book is always better than the movie. Of Mice and Men is just like that. Of
Mice and Men is an excellent story about two ranch workers who have a dream. This movie is
directed by Gary Sinise, and he also plays the role of George. The two main characters Lennie (John
Malkovich) and George have an American Dream of having a ranch and Living off the Fat of the land
. There is one setback to this dream. Lennie is not the brightest person on earth and he travels with his
acquaintance George. George is a smart person and he took in Lennie when his aunt Clara died.
Lennie at the beginning had to flee with George from a town called Weed because Lennie touched a

In the book and the movie, the theme that is portrayed is loneliness. In the book, John Steinbeck did a
great job of saying that if Lennie and George didn t have each other then they would both be
extremely lonely. The movie director did the same exact thing. The movie director made it obvious
that both Lennie and George are lonely because they only have each other. This made the audience
feel that they are lonely and that made the movie meaningful. The story line was very good, but it was
not the same as the book. The director made a good choice with having the intro be with the girl in the
red dress because if they did that in the middle of the movie as a flashback, then that would have made
it confusing for the audience. This choice was good and even better than the book because it made the
story line easier to understand. In all, The Movie Of Mice and Men was very good. The Sound was
phenomenal, the story line was great, and the Characters were absolutely fantastic. The movie could
have been better if they did better with cinematography. Although the Cinematography did have a
great effect on the movie, it was somewhat good. The movie was very exceptional, and the director
did a fantastic job for almost every single aspect of the

Attending A Music Concert At An Art Museum
Think about the arts: they are omnipresent like air in daily life, from going to the movies to attending
a music concert to visiting an art museum, with none of those activities being existent if it were not for
the people who spent years perfecting those art forms for other s entertainment and enjoyment. The
truth is, the arts have been embedded in human nature just like carvings on wood, and is a surviving
and persisting tradition that can be traced to even the earliest culture and history that has proved itself
to be a key factor for bringing the world together under common interests and art forms. One would
think that the arts should be required in all education systems with their strong roots in the past and
modern times, but the arts are still the first programs to be cut from schools on tight budgets, and are
nonexistent in low income schools due to being dismissed as inferior to the more academic subjects.
Even though the arts are more abstract, subjective, and lenient in subject areas, they are still the
crucial link and passage to the world of creativity, imagination, and passion. The arts are irreplaceable
subjects that should be maintained in schools because only they can provide a truly well rounded
education to students, harnessing them with priceless skills that simply cannot be found in purely
academic classes, while providing numerous benefits that no other programs can replace. Unlike
regular academic subjects, the arts have their basis on creative

Rhetorical Analysis Of Gregory Crewdson s Natural Wonder
Gregory Crewdson s untitled photograph from the series Natural Wonder presents an eerie close up of
a scene taking place in the woods. The attention of the audience is brought to a small fox who lies on
its back, dead. Surrounding the fox are an abundance of overgrown grape vines. Perched atop the fox
are three birds who stare questioningly at the site around them. Behind the copious amount of leaves
and grapes is a somewhat cheerful looking, white background containing buildings and smoke, a
noticeable difference from the forest scene which is more apparent to the audience. Through his
placement of objects, use of color, and change of scenery, Crewdson expresses the negative effects of
industrialization on wildlife. Crewdson uses placement of objects by making the dead fox the central
theme of this photograph to delve into the feelings of the audience. Because foxes are animals with
great knowledge of the woods, it would be unlikely for them to suddenly die while in their natural
habitat. This leads the audience to wonder what might have happened to cause the fox s death which
can be symbolized by the birds above the fox who seem to be wondering the same thing. Although
birds symbolize freedom, they are staying behind to witness the destruction of the land around them.
Crewdson also places the leaves and overgrown grapevines of the photograph in an unorderly way.
This shows that the forest is not being taken care of causing the loss of this fox. The audience feels

Revolution In Xinjiang, Chechnya, And Quebec
Revolution is a common part of life, from the relatively simple revolution of changing your individual
life, to a nation becoming severing the ties that bind it to its past. Xinjiang, Chechnya, and Quebec are
all areas that have experienced revolution on a massive scale. However, not all of them followed the
same ideal of revolution. First, in Xinjiang, the revolution was brought about by the heavy influx of
Han Chinese into the Uighurs territory. This caused them to feel marginalized politically, and also
made them feel as if their very culture and independence were being threatened. The Uighurs reacted
to these feelings by going down a violent path, rioting and fighting for what they perceive to be
incursions on their rights. Now, even 50 years later, there is still conflict in the region, with the
Chinese Army having to quell a riot just as recently as 2009. Next, in Chechnya, following along the
same lines of political conflicts as Xinjiang, just with a dose of economic and cultural for good
measure, the revolution was brought about by the dissolution of the USSR in 1991. After the fall of
the USSR and Russia losing its status as a world superpower, Chechnya tried to abandon ship, so to

Though the beginning of the separatist movement was marred by fighting and violence, the vast
majority of the conflict has been a political one. The reason for the revolution in Quebec stems from
the restrictions placed upon the populace by the English. These restrictions were on both the language
and culture of the Quebecois, and caused them to feel trapped in under the English rule, for lack of a
better term. This revolution is on a much less certain foot than the others however, with many of the

The Pros And Cons Of Dispensationalism
Dispensationalism, as a system of theology, presupposes two main ideas: God works with humans in
distinct ways throughout history, and God has a distinct plan for both Israel and the church (Ryrie,
2007). Popularized in the twentieth century by Cyrus Scofield, dispensationalism is the most popular
system of theology taught in North American evangelical churches today, however, and despite the
popularity, dispensationalism continues to be rejected and opposed by many scholars and Christian
denominations (Bloesch, 2000). Regardless of the opposition, the word dispensation appears in the
New Testament and is translated variably to describe stewardships (Luke 12:42; Rom. 16:23; Gal.
4:2), administrations (Luke 16:2; Eph. 1:10; Col. 1:25) and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Dispensationalism maintains only one method of salvation through the dispensations, however, the
dispensational idea that the content of faith changes, raises suspicions. The law was added in to grace
and could not save (Ryrie, 2007). Thus, the law marked out the character of transgressions until Jesus
Christ should come (Ryrie, 2007, p. 128). Without the law, there would no knowledge of God s grace,
and if righteousness could be gained through the law, grace would have no purpose (Gal. 2:21). Thus,
the law s purpose was to mark out grace, while grace fulfilled the law s purpose (Rom. 10:4). Based
on the characteristics of God s immutability, this author believes that since God cannot change, neither
can the content of faith, the measure of God s grace, or the method and means of salvation.
Dispensationalism does add value to Christendom; however, dispensationalism does create confusion
over how one is saved. Thus, it is this author s belief, that with a basic understanding of God s
characteristic of immutability, the church can eliminate any and all confusion concerning salvation
and how one is saved. References

Early Childhood, A Stage In Child Development
Early Childhood Introduction: Early childhood is a stage in human development. Early childhood is
usually defined as the time period from the age of two until the age of six or seven years. It is a time
of significant physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. Infants enter the world with a
partial range of skills. Watching a child develop new motor, language and social skills is a source of
wonder for caregivers. Early childhood is an important time of growth and change. Most children do
not learn in the rest of their lives than they do in early childhood. They are learning new things all the

The Death Of An Individual
As seen throughout the assigned readings and videos from this semester, for many cultures and
religions, the death of an individual is not quite the end. There are still many things done after the
death, from preserving the body to never even mentioning that deceased individual s name again. Life
styles tend to influence death styles. Religious beliefs are the primary way to understand how societies
frame the explanation, grief management and societal impact of the loss of an individual. In the case
of death, although the focus is on the dead individual the function of certain rituals is to help survivors
by allowing the group a time out period after which the group must deal with a new normal . Before
the turn of the century, death usually took place in the home (DeSpelder, Strickland, 6). A coffin was
built that was then set up in the parlor of the home. Friends, acquaintances, and other relatives would
come to the family s home to view the body and share in the act of mourning. Children even
sometimes slept in the same room as the corpse! Each person learned about death first hand. In some
cultures, such as in Indonesia, the family keeps their dead relative s corpse in the house with them as if
they were still alive. Now, in modern times, our participation in the rituals surrounding the dead is
minimal. It is often stated by anthropologists that the dominant feeling of the survivors is that of
horror at the corpse and of fear of the ghost (Malinowski, 19).

The Management Game At Coventry University
1. Introduction
This paper mainly focuses on what I experienced and obtained from the Coventry Management Game
took place at Coventry University. The management game provided participants with a variety of
opportunities to work as a group with diversity. Accordingly, they were aware of the importance of
internationalisation, positive and negative sides of working at the internationally diverse team.
Throughout this module, they have learned what are important to do job hunting such as how to create
good CV, how to take job interviews etc. in this report, those what we learned and experienced are
explained in more depth dividing into some categories.

In terms of point 4, Hawkins argued in his statistics book about immigration in the UK that
immigration has grown faster than emigration, leading to an increase in net migration from an annual
average of 37,000 in the period 1991 to 1995 to an annual average of 249,000 in the period 2011 to
2015 . (House of Commons 2017) This means more and more people from outside of the UK have
been coming into the UK in the past years, and it is easy to find people from different background in
the workplace in this country. Thus, people living in the UK should be able to adapt the
internationalised society. 3. Which management game I attended and why?
I have attended the Coventry Management Game since the first Management Game in Groningen was
full though I had hoped to go and join it in. My first thought was Groningen one provided me more

however, Coventry one gave me an opportunity to know more about my classmates who had not had
anything to do with before and it was actually better than I expected. As I am to some extent shy and
not good at making new friends, this management game was a fantastic opportunity in that perspective
as well/ Therefore, I am overall

An Intervention Designed Promote Appropriate Classroom...
Mild behavior (Redirection, interrupting, talking while teacher is talking) 1.Token economy (earn
tickets or money for prize or preferred activity) Overview: A token economy is an intervention
designed to promote appropriate classroom behavior. Students are rewarded for selected behaviors
with a token. They have the opportunity to cash in for a desired item or activity once they have earned
a set number of tokens. Tokens may be awarded over a period of time for acceptable effort and work
(Shea Bauer, 2012). The tokens provide immediate feedback for positive behavior and earning
multiple tokens will give more choices of a reward at the designated purchasing or cash in time. The
teacher should determine what behaviors earn students a token (i.e. raising a quiet hand). The desired
behaviors are explained to students using positive terms and posted where they are easily visible. A
physical token should be chosen, such as a raffle ticket or paper coin. Students should be aware of
what they are able to buy with their tokens (i.e. pencils, extra break time). The prizes should be based
on student interests. Para Use of Strategy: Paraprofessionals can provide input on target behaviors
based on observations. Once the teacher has gone over the rules with students, paras can help enforce
the intervention by reminding students of the rules and distributing tokens as students earn them. The
tokens should be given directly following an appropriate behavior.

Innocence In The Fifth Child
I used The Innocent Youth to analyze The Very Old Man With Enormous Wings by Gabriel García
Márquez, The Fifth Child by Doris Lessing, and The Things They Carried By Tim O Brien. Using the
definition of innocent youth, a character inexperienced with many weaknesses who seeks safety with
others; others like him/her because of the trust he or she shows in other people. Usually, the
experience of coming of age comes in the later parts of the narratives provided to me. Also, using a
basic definition of innocent, lacking experience with the world and the bad things that happen in life .

From the beginning of Harriet s pregnancy she knew something was different. She was always in pain
and when she finally gave birth to the child, Ben, he was different. He was not a pretty baby. He did
not look like a baby at all. He even looked different and was also very strong. Has he grew up, he was
always getting into trouble. Some reasons why I believe Ben is innocent is his age. Especially, when
he was the age of an infant. Even though Harriet said he is different, we hope that she is crazy. No
baby is evil. Typically, kids that are young don t know how to act. So, his parents can t really be blame
him for his actions. Also, his parents don t know why he acts the way he does. Ben could have a
mental problem his parents are unaware of. However, some people would consider him not to be
innocent. Usually, when a child is born they don t effect the woman the way Ben did to Harriet. Then
when the child is born they aren t as strong as Ben. There is however another character that is
innocent. Amy, daughter of Sarah and William, is innocent because she has Down Syndrome. Down
Syndrome effects intellectual growth and makes it difficult for her to know what is right or wrong for
her age. Lessing main goal wasn t to add innocence in her book. Her goal was to take something that
everyone knows to be innocent and change it into something that s not. She did this by adding in
supernatural touches. She did however include Amy as innocent to compare her with

The article talks about building trust. Trust can be defined in one of two ways. The first as a belief or
confidence in the honesty, integrity, reliability, and justice of another person and second to hope for.

  • 2. Denzel Washington Rhetorical Speech In order to deliver a successful speech, there are countless qualities that must be present to reach both the emotional and logical sense within a crowd. Through the use of rhetorical strategies and by remaining credible, a speaker or an author can connect with their audience; getting them involved with their writing. In May of 2011, a man by the name of Denzel Washington used multiple rhetorical strategies to deliver a graduation speech at the University of Pennsylvania. While revealing all of the difficult times that he had gone through while in college and discovering what career he wanted to pursue, he inspired millions of people, leaving a profound effect upon the world. Now, with millions of fans, Washington is a famous actor that has starred in numerous movies such as Courage Under Fire, Crimson Tide, and Malcolm X. Washington, along with the authors: Aristotle, Peter Elbow, and Donald Murray, and many others, have made a big difference in the world, simply by using rhetorical strategies. The rhetorical strategy, repetition, not only works to get the audience involved, it also makes the point of the speech clear and helps appeal to the audience s emotion. Washington explained that he honestly never understood why he would want to fall back on something, instead, he wanted to fall forward, therefore; he would be able to see where he s actually going to fall. Fall forward. Here s what I mean: Reggie Jackson struck out twenty six hundred times in his career the most in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Significance Of The Crucible Another book read and added to Goodreads, but why was The Crucible chosen to be read in class? What is the importance? This book gives so many lesson. The title gives so many key aspects that are still applied to today. The Crucible by Arthur Miller fits its name because of the conflicts the story contains and how it can connect still today with the crucibles such as revenge and pride we face. A crucible can be defined in two definitions and one being, a piece of laboratory equipment used to hold and heat up liquids. How does this relate to the story? It only relates with science. On the contrary, this definition is relevant to the story. In one of the scenes, Parris and Hathorne are talking about the Salem community and what is happening due to the witchcraft trials. I ll tell you what is said here, sir. Andover have thrown the court, they say, and will have no part of witchcraft. There be a faction here feeding on that ... On what proof, what proof (42). Abigail wanted revenge on Elizabeth because she is in love with John and wants to be with him. Her revenge consisted of accusing Elizabeth of witchcraft and have her go to jail. Just as Abigail wanted revenge on Elizabeth, we do the same today. One example of this would be the boyfriend girlfriend scenario. How many times do we want revenge after a breakup? We as people are not happy with being in our minds humiliated that we have to have the upper hand. This is just the one of many examples of the revenge we to do and the feelings we have. • 6. Concert Review Moores Opera House For my second concert review, I attended the Wind Ensemble in the Moores Opera House. The previous concert was somewhat disappointing because there were one or two performers who did not meet my expectations (i.e. squeaking on the saxophone, failing to play a note, etc.). Hence, I did not have many expectations for this concert either. Both performances occurred in the same venue, however, this time there were some brass performing off stage. The majority of the instruments on stage were woodwinds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone), percussion/piano, string (bass and harp), and several brass members (trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba) that were both on and off stage. The conductor was on stage, like in a traditional orchestral setting, communicating with the performers through hand gestures and occasionally pointing. Performers would switch out, when necessary, as the conductor introduced the next piece or sit ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our previous lessons on rhythm and melody could be applied to any musical piece, but tying them to musical expression is critical in understanding the meaning of various pieces. Students can then build on what they ve learned to interpret what each artist is trying to depict in their songs i.e. their tone, feelings, etc. towards the subject of the piece. In addition, lesson plans may tie the interpretations of the piece to historical movements or current events ongoing now. Upon having a previous concert experience, I must say that I enjoyed the wind ensemble concert more than the jazz concert. In comparison to the previous concert, I think the greater variety of instruments creates more complex and layered tunes which sounds more pleasing to the ears. This concert has also given me first hand experience to listen for the concepts taught in class i.e. chords, ostinato, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In relation to the lottery and the controversy I thought it would be more beneficial in this documentary project to actually show you, which brought me to animaker. In the animated video I illustrate four characters, one which in fact wins the lottery and becomes a different person. In the video it takes you through the altercations of his psychological, behavioral, and social health endanger and altered for the worse just as it was explained in the argumentative research essay. Lastly was the logic which incorporated the evidence in relation to the characters and the facts that were elaborate on. Although, all point that were presented to the audience had a purpose, the strongest appeal would have to be ethos. With the acknowledgment of facts, statistics, and scholarly insight to the situation, it gave support to the rebuttal s that were imbedded into the film by the other characters. External Growth for a Business Essay Using this example and any others with which you are familiar, assess the potential implications for business of external growth as compared with organic growth. Organic growth is when a firm expands its existing capacity or range of activities by extending its premises or building new factories for example. External growth however is when two or more businesses come together via a merger or a take over. There are many implications of external growth. One of the main implications is the ignorance of the different cultures supported by the two different firms. It involves a lot of time for a firm to talk out differences which is generally unsupported by senior managers having little time. This reflects on poor leadership and unclear ... On September 04, 2001, two leading players in the global computer industry Hewlett Packard Company (HP) and Compaq Computer Corporation (Compaq) announced their merger. HP was to buy Compaq for US$ 24 billion in stock in the biggest ever deal in the history of the computer industry. The merged entity would have operations in more than 160 countries with over 145,000 employees, and would offer the industry s most complete set of products and services. The merger however did not help HP to compete with rivals such as IBM who was the market leader. With shares collapsing just after the merge, analysis s opined that the company should be a standalone company that sells printers alone. Poor communication between people at each level in the organisation and the other organisation it is merging with is one of the main reasons why mergers fail. Viewers are now able to enjoy a dramatically increasing variety of television shows with diverse genres. One show, in particular, has introduced several new and original ideas to both television shows and movies after its premiere: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Buffy the Vampire Slayer s debut in 1997 reinforces the concept that ...since the late 1990s/early 2000s, the sympathetic vampire...has become distinctly more common in popular fiction and film than the monstrous stereotype as a vicious killer (qtd. in Parke and Wilson 179). Throughout the Buffy series, one of Buffy s main love interests has been Angel, an outcast vampire who has empathy for humans (e.g., he does not harm humans unless provoked, he protects Buffy and her friends from other vampires). As opposed to the other vampires in Buffy, Angel has a soul and experiences guilt for his past crimes. Writer Lorna Jowett (of Buffy, Dark Romance and Female Horror Fans) introduces the idea that Buffy the Vampire Slayer has impacted science fiction (paranormal, in particular) by a theme of dark romance : ...its male protagonists are powerful and dangerous, often presented as stereotypical bad boys, and the fact that they are vampires or werewolves positions them naturally , both monstrosity and masculinity (qtd in Stuller 92). A notable bad boy in Buffy is the vampire, Spike: he is a soulless and sadistic who eventually rebels against the Anointed One (a supernatural being who is prophesized to lead vampires into power). Although Spike is portrayed as a merciless killer, he is devoted to his first lover (Drusilla) although his commitment to her was not reciprocal and reveals a softer side of himself to Buffy when he helps her cope with her death and resurrection. Although Buffy and Spike develop a romantic relationship, he accepts that she will never be able to fully return his feelings. Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries is strongly influence and essentially mirrors Spike s bad boy characteristics: similar to Spike, he is a selfish rebel whose actions are solely meant to benefit himself. • 10. The Psychosocial Theory Of Life Span Development Developmental Analysis Melissa Snyder Liberty University Abstract Life span development, and ultimately who we are and become as a person, is influenced by many different things that include biologic, cognitive, and socio emotional factors. These different areas of development can be positively or negatively affected by environmental factors and stressors. If those negative environmental factors are not dealt with by the time a person reaches adulthood, there is a likelihood that the person will develop dysfunctional personalities and struggle to maintain healthy relationships. According to Eric Erickson, those positive and negative environmental factors influence the individual s development differently when it is experienced during a particular stage of development. Erickson s psychosocial theory of development asserts that there are eight stages of development that each person passes through over the course of their life. Each stage has a specific goal that can be attained by resolving particular conflicts. This conflict resolution will result in a healthy, well balanced individual. This paper will look at each stage of Erickson s psychosocial theory of life span development and how it applies to my own development. Erik Erikson s theory of psychosocial development was greatly influenced by Freud and his psychoanalytic theory. Both Freud and Erikson believed that the life span included distinct stages that ... Fairy Tale Conventions In her collection Kissing the Witch, Emma Donoghue breaks apart and reconstructs the fairy tale by expertly retelling thirteen classic tales in a manner that subverts both societal conventions and the conventions of the fairytale genre. In each retelling, Donoghue takes the iconic imagery and basic premise of a given fairy tale, but twists components of the plot and more richly develops the character of her heroines often ending with a happily ever after (or not so happily ever after) that is vastly different from the traditional versions of the tales. In so doing so, she circumvents the social standards that the established versions of the tale uphold. By definition, fairy tales are stories in constant flux, but each version of the tale ... Before going to the ball for the 3rd time, she claims that she didn t have to listen to the barking voices to know how the story went, and later comments that the scene as the prince is about to propose is all very fairy tale (5 6.) Even without directly listening to the voices and the societal conventions they represent, these instances in which the 4th wall is broken reveal that Cinderella feels as though she must adhere to the conventions of the archetypal Cinderella story. By extension, she feels as though she must adhere to the expectations that go along with the Cinderella narrative namely love and marriage to the prince, thereby limiting her personal freedom and capacity for action. Yet Cinderella begins to feel that these story conventions and expectations are shallow. In the description of the 3rd night s ball, Cinderella remarks that the musicians played the same song over and over while Cinderella herself danced like a clockwork ballerina (6.) The references of the repeated song and mechanical nature of the dancing gives the scene a sense of monotony and fakeness, demonstrating Cinderella s discomfort with the pre written steps of the archetypal Cinderella narrative. As the prince proposes, Cinderella compares him to an actor on a creating stage, a simile that further exposes him and the whole narrative situation as inorganic as an actor simply working through the motions of a pre written script. As he speaks, Cinderella claims that she can see the future in his words, fearing the long procession of years to come and her pre prescribed future should she marry him. Thus, even ... It is proven that humans are more attracted to other humans if their bodies and faces are more proportional. What determines if humans are in proportion is the Golden Ratio. It helps with certain stomach acids, maintains the balance of fluids, helps in transmitting nerve impulses, and helps muscle control. The kidneys balance the amount of salt stored by the body for optimum health. If, however, too much sodium is stored in the body, and the kidneys cannot get rid of it properly; it will cause serious health complications. Over use of table salt contributes leads to retaining fluid in the body, which in turn contributes to high blood pressure and heart disease. The truth is, the arts have been embedded in human nature just like carvings on wood, and is a surviving and persisting tradition that can be traced to even the earliest culture and history that has proved itself to be a key factor for bringing the world together under common interests and art forms. One would think that the arts should be required in all education systems with their strong roots in the past and modern times, but the arts are still the first programs to be cut from schools on tight budgets, and are nonexistent in low income schools due to being dismissed as inferior to the more academic subjects. The attention of the audience is brought to a small fox who lies on its back, dead. Surrounding the fox are an abundance of overgrown grape vines. Perched atop the fox are three birds who stare questioningly at the site around them. Behind the copious amount of leaves and grapes is a somewhat cheerful looking, white background containing buildings and smoke, a noticeable difference from the forest scene which is more apparent to the audience. Through his placement of objects, use of color, and change of scenery, Crewdson expresses the negative effects of industrialization on wildlife. Crewdson uses placement of objects by making the dead fox the central theme of this photograph to delve into the feelings of the audience. Because foxes are animals with great knowledge of the woods, it would be unlikely for them to suddenly die while in their natural habitat. This leads the audience to wonder what might have happened to cause the fox s death which can be symbolized by the birds above the fox who seem to be wondering the same thing. Although birds symbolize freedom, they are staying behind to witness the destruction of the land around them. Crewdson also places the leaves and overgrown grapevines of the photograph in an unorderly way. This shows that the forest is not being taken care of causing the loss of this fox. The Pros And Cons Of Dispensationalism Dispensationalism, as a system of theology, presupposes two main ideas: God works with humans in distinct ways throughout history, and God has a distinct plan for both Israel and the church (Ryrie, 2007). Popularized in the twentieth century by Cyrus Scofield, dispensationalism is the most popular system of theology taught in North American evangelical churches today, however, and despite the popularity, dispensationalism continues to be rejected and opposed by many scholars and Christian denominations (Bloesch, 2000). Regardless of the opposition, the word dispensation appears in the New Testament and is translated variably to describe stewardships (Luke 12:42; Rom. 16:23; Gal. 4:2), administrations (Luke 16:2; Eph. 1:10; Col. 1:25) and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dispensationalism maintains only one method of salvation through the dispensations, however, the dispensational idea that the content of faith changes, raises suspicions. The law was added in to grace and could not save (Ryrie, 2007). Thus, the law marked out the character of transgressions until Jesus Christ should come (Ryrie, 2007, p. 128). Without the law, there would no knowledge of God s grace, and if righteousness could be gained through the law, grace would have no purpose (Gal. 2:21). Thus, the law s purpose was to mark out grace, while grace fulfilled the law s purpose (Rom. 10:4). Based on the characteristics of God s immutability, this author believes that since God cannot change, neither can the content of faith, the measure of God s grace, or the method and means of salvation. Dispensationalism does add value to Christendom; however, dispensationalism does create confusion over how one is saved. Thus, it is this author s belief, that with a basic understanding of God s characteristic of immutability, the church can eliminate any and all confusion concerning salvation and how one is saved. • 29. The Death Of An Individual As seen throughout the assigned readings and videos from this semester, for many cultures and religions, the death of an individual is not quite the end. There are still many things done after the death, from preserving the body to never even mentioning that deceased individual s name again. Life styles tend to influence death styles. Religious beliefs are the primary way to understand how societies frame the explanation, grief management and societal impact of the loss of an individual. In the case of death, although the focus is on the dead individual the function of certain rituals is to help survivors by allowing the group a time out period after which the group must deal with a new normal . Before the turn of the century, death usually took place in the home (DeSpelder, Strickland, 6). A coffin was built that was then set up in the parlor of the home. Friends, acquaintances, and other relatives would come to the family s home to view the body and share in the act of mourning. Children even sometimes slept in the same room as the corpse! Each person learned about death first hand. In some cultures, such as in Indonesia, the family keeps their dead relative s corpse in the house with them as if they were still alive. Now, in modern times, our participation in the rituals surrounding the dead is minimal. It is often stated by anthropologists that the dominant feeling of the survivors is that of horror at the corpse and of fear of the ghost (Malinowski, 19). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Indeed, they kept having dialogues with me not only about tasks and assignments but also a variety of topics, which cultivated our international outlook and an ability to work with a diverse team. In terms of point 4, Hawkins argued in his statistics book about immigration in the UK that immigration has grown faster than emigration, leading to an increase in net migration from an annual average of 37,000 in the period 1991 to 1995 to an annual average of 249,000 in the period 2011 to 2015 . (House of Commons 2017) This means more and more people from outside of the UK have been coming into the UK in the past years, and it is easy to find people from different background in the workplace in this country. Thus, people living in the UK should be able to adapt the internationalised society. 3. Which management game I attended and why? I have attended the Coventry Management Game since the first Management Game in Groningen was full though I had hoped to go and join it in. My first thought was Groningen one provided me more international environment as they got participants from a variety of universities around Europe, however, Coventry one gave me an opportunity to know more about my classmates who had not had anything to do with before and it was actually better than I expected. As I am to some extent shy and not good at making new friends, this management game was a fantastic opportunity in that perspective as well/ Therefore, I am overall ... • 32. An Intervention Designed Promote Appropriate Classroom... Mild behavior (Redirection, interrupting, talking while teacher is talking) 1.Token economy (earn tickets or money for prize or preferred activity) Overview: A token economy is an intervention designed to promote appropriate classroom behavior. Students are rewarded for selected behaviors with a token. They have the opportunity to cash in for a desired item or activity once they have earned a set number of tokens. Tokens may be awarded over a period of time for acceptable effort and work (Shea Bauer, 2012). The tokens provide immediate feedback for positive behavior and earning multiple tokens will give more choices of a reward at the designated purchasing or cash in time. The teacher should determine what behaviors earn students a token (i.e. raising a quiet hand). The desired behaviors are explained to students using positive terms and posted where they are easily visible. A physical token should be chosen, such as a raffle ticket or paper coin. Students should be aware of what they are able to buy with their tokens (i.e. pencils, extra break time). The prizes should be based on student interests. Para Use of Strategy: Paraprofessionals can provide input on target behaviors based on observations. Once the teacher has gone over the rules with students, paras can help enforce the intervention by reminding students of the rules and distributing tokens as students earn them. The tokens should be given directly following an appropriate behavior. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Innocence In The Fifth Child I used The Innocent Youth to analyze The Very Old Man With Enormous Wings by Gabriel García Márquez, The Fifth Child by Doris Lessing, and The Things They Carried By Tim O Brien. Using the definition of innocent youth, a character inexperienced with many weaknesses who seeks safety with others; others like him/her because of the trust he or she shows in other people. Usually, the experience of coming of age comes in the later parts of the narratives provided to me. Also, using a basic definition of innocent, lacking experience with the world and the bad things that happen in life . After reading all three of these books, there is a common element among them. Whether it is an old man that chooses to act like a child. Perhaps ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the beginning of Harriet s pregnancy she knew something was different. She was always in pain and when she finally gave birth to the child, Ben, he was different. He was not a pretty baby. He did not look like a baby at all. He even looked different and was also very strong. Has he grew up, he was always getting into trouble. Some reasons why I believe Ben is innocent is his age. Especially, when he was the age of an infant. Even though Harriet said he is different, we hope that she is crazy. No baby is evil. Typically, kids that are young don t know how to act. So, his parents can t really be blame him for his actions. Also, his parents don t know why he acts the way he does. Ben could have a mental problem his parents are unaware of. However, some people would consider him not to be innocent. Usually, when a child is born they don t effect the woman the way Ben did to Harriet. Then when the child is born they aren t as strong as Ben. There is however another character that is innocent. Amy, daughter of Sarah and William, is innocent because she has Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome effects intellectual growth and makes it difficult for her to know what is right or wrong for her age. Lessing main goal wasn t to add innocence in her book. Her goal was to take something that everyone knows to be innocent and change it into something that s not. She did this by adding in supernatural touches. She did however include Amy as innocent to compare her with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Creating and maintaining effective learning environments for ALL students For this reflection, I chose TEP 4 and found the article Creating urban classroom communities worthy of trust. With all the negative we are reading about urban schools I felt that this might shed some light on the problems and possible ways to fix them. The article talks about building trust. Trust can be defined in one of two ways. The first as a belief or confidence in the honesty, integrity, reliability, and justice of another person and second to hope for. By having them lead classes she was giving them the opportunity to earn and build trust by saying I trust you enough to let you do this for me and your classmates.
