This document discusses housekeeping contracts and considerations for hotels. It outlines types of contracts including long-term, short-term, hiring, leasing, and consultancy services. When making contracts, hotels should put out tenders, check contractor credentials and licenses, specify cleaning standards, and ensure insurance. Contracts can save on labor costs but result in loss of quality control and proprietary staff interests. Proper contract specifications around cleaning schedules, areas, equipment, materials and insurance are important.
The document discusses various project delivery methods and their advantages and disadvantages. It argues that the bridging method reduces costs, risks, and disputes compared to traditional design-bid-build. The bridging method brings in a contractor early to provide cost estimates and guarantees, while maintaining the owner's control through an owner's design consultant who oversees the design process. Several recently completed projects using the bridging method are listed.

- The document discusses how to create an agile contract between a customer and supplier using an agile approach. It emphasizes establishing trust and aligning incentives between both parties.
- An "optional scope contract" is recommended, which has fixed time, cost, and quality, but variable scope. It allows for incremental delivery and regular payment. Either party can terminate early.
- The contract should specify obligations of both customer and supplier to collaborate through activities like sprint planning and reviews. It also allows the customer to change features freely and terminate the project after any sprint if no longer valuable, paying a small cancellation fee.
- Transparency is key to building trust over time through the agile process.

This document discusses four procurement methods - traditional, design and build, management contracting, and construction management. It analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of management contracting and traditional methods in terms of time, cost, risk, and design control. Traditional method provides more certainty of cost and schedule as design is complete before tender. However, it has a longer project duration. Management contracting allows for earlier start but has uncertainty of final cost until contracts are signed and client loses some design control. The document concludes the traditional method is most suitable for the project.
This document provides a proposal for the procurement method, tendering process, and contract arrangement for a RM600 million hotel and shopping complex project. It recommends using a management contracting procurement method with selective tendering and a modified cost reimbursement contract based on the PAM Contract 2006. The proposal aims to give the client full design control, an early project start before design completion, and completion within 20 months to meet the Commonwealth Games deadline.
The document describes the idealized process an engineering project goes through from design to production, highlighting cooperation between departments and achieving milestones on schedule. However, it also subtly suggests this idealized process is unrealistic through the use of terms like "discussed", "assisted", and quotes around certain words. In reality, projects encounter obstacles, profit margins are adjusted, and equipment is not always reliable under demanding conditions.

This document discusses measure and pay contracts, also known as re-measurement contracts. With this type of contract, the contractor quotes unit prices for items in the bill of quantities (BOQ) provided by the employer. During construction, the actual quantities of work are measured and valued at the quoted rates for interim payments. After completion, the exact quantities are re-measured and valued at the quoted rates for the final payment. While the total cost is not known until completion, this contract allows for adjustments to scope and quantities and requires less design definition upfront than a lump sum contract. It is suitable for competitive bidding but requires accurate measurement and reporting of completed work units.

This document discusses and compares traditional procurement and management contracting procurement methods for a proposed 20-story condominium project in Kuala Lumpur.
Management contracting is recommended as it allows for overlapping of design and construction phases, providing flexibility to make changes without compromising on cost control. It also allows selecting specialized subcontractors to help ensure project quality. In contrast, traditional procurement has a fixed contract sum set before construction and is less flexible for design changes.
Key factors in the recommendation include the client's priorities for on-time completion and quality, as management contracting can deliver the project faster while maintaining oversight of quality through specialist subcontractors. The overlapping phases also provide more control over sustainable design updates that may

Advanced control scheme of doubly fed induction generator for wind turbine us...IJECEIAES
This paper describes a speed control device for generating electrical energy on an electricity network based on the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for wind power conversion systems. At first, a double-fed induction generator model was constructed. A control law is formulated to govern the flow of energy between the stator of a DFIG and the energy network using three types of controllers: proportional integral (PI), sliding mode controller (SMC) and second order sliding mode controller (SOSMC). Their different results in terms of power reference tracking, reaction to unexpected speed fluctuations, sensitivity to perturbations, and resilience against machine parameter alterations are compared. MATLAB/Simulink was used to conduct the simulations for the preceding study. Multiple simulations have shown very satisfying results, and the investigations demonstrate the efficacy and power-enhancing capabilities of the suggested control system.
CHINA’S GEO-ECONOMIC OUTREACH IN CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES AND FUTURE PROSPECTjpsjournal1
The rivalry between prominent international actors for dominance over Central Asia's hydrocarbon
reserves and the ancient silk trade route, along with China's diplomatic endeavours in the area, has been
referred to as the "New Great Game." This research centres on the power struggle, considering
geopolitical, geostrategic, and geoeconomic variables. Topics including trade, political hegemony, oil
politics, and conventional and nontraditional security are all explored and explained by the researcher.
Using Mackinder's Heartland, Spykman Rimland, and Hegemonic Stability theories, examines China's role
in Central Asia. This study adheres to the empirical epistemological method and has taken care of
objectivity. This study analyze primary and secondary research documents critically to elaborate role of
china’s geo economic outreach in central Asian countries and its future prospect. China is thriving in trade,
pipeline politics, and winning states, according to this study, thanks to important instruments like the
Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the Belt and Road Economic Initiative. According to this study,
China is seeing significant success in commerce, pipeline politics, and gaining influence on other
governments. This success may be attributed to the effective utilisation of key tools such as the Shanghai
Cooperation Organisation and the Belt and Road Economic Initiative.
Redefining brain tumor segmentation: a cutting-edge convolutional neural netw...IJECEIAES
Medical image analysis has witnessed significant advancements with deep learning techniques. In the domain of brain tumor segmentation, the ability to
precisely delineate tumor boundaries from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
scans holds profound implications for diagnosis. This study presents an ensemble convolutional neural network (CNN) with transfer learning, integrating
the state-of-the-art Deeplabv3+ architecture with the ResNet18 backbone. The
model is rigorously trained and evaluated, exhibiting remarkable performance
metrics, including an impressive global accuracy of 99.286%, a high-class accuracy of 82.191%, a mean intersection over union (IoU) of 79.900%, a weighted
IoU of 98.620%, and a Boundary F1 (BF) score of 83.303%. Notably, a detailed comparative analysis with existing methods showcases the superiority of
our proposed model. These findings underscore the model’s competence in precise brain tumor localization, underscoring its potential to revolutionize medical
image analysis and enhance healthcare outcomes. This research paves the way
for future exploration and optimization of advanced CNN models in medical
imaging, emphasizing addressing false positives and resource efficiency.
Comparative analysis between traditional aquaponics and reconstructed aquapon...bijceesjournal
The aquaponic system of planting is a method that does not require soil usage. It is a method that only needs water, fish, lava rocks (a substitute for soil), and plants. Aquaponic systems are sustainable and environmentally friendly. Its use not only helps to plant in small spaces but also helps reduce artificial chemical use and minimizes excess water use, as aquaponics consumes 90% less water than soil-based gardening. The study applied a descriptive and experimental design to assess and compare conventional and reconstructed aquaponic methods for reproducing tomatoes. The researchers created an observation checklist to determine the significant factors of the study. The study aims to determine the significant difference between traditional aquaponics and reconstructed aquaponics systems propagating tomatoes in terms of height, weight, girth, and number of fruits. The reconstructed aquaponics system’s higher growth yield results in a much more nourished crop than the traditional aquaponics system. It is superior in its number of fruits, height, weight, and girth measurement. Moreover, the reconstructed aquaponics system is proven to eliminate all the hindrances present in the traditional aquaponics system, which are overcrowding of fish, algae growth, pest problems, contaminated water, and dead fish.
