3. Assist in the Identification and nominate candidates for training.
Consultation
Regularly communicate with the client..
Inform and/or seek advice from the client regarding special legal requirements applicable.
Attend weekly meetings and give feed back on a regular basis..
Reporting.
Provide the client with weekly status reports..
Site Management
Do site surveys and obtain all the necessary photos and dimensions of the site..
Establish the feasibility of the position of the site and make recommendations as to the
degree of difficulty in building the site on that position..
Obtain levels so that provision can be made for suitable import material.
Establish distance and availability of material in the vicinity for the procurement of material.
Upon returning to office request the buyer to obtain pricing on the material needed for the
site.
In consultation with the manager furnish him with all the necessary documentation so that
the quotation can be formalized.
Deliver the quote to the client against a written acknowledgement of receipt.
Client relations/interaction
Interact with client regarding all project aspects
Budget, immediately when there is a variation order this will effect the pricing and the client
must be notified.
Control expenses against approved budget.
Risk analyses
Assist divisional managers with the drafting of risk analyses and oversee the activity taking
place.
Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project.
Obtain all Permits and Licenses
Study Job Specification and manage the construction effort and be the construction
representative of the company with Client To plan, develop and organize the construction effort to
formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion within budget and to implement the
execution of that plan.
4. Responsible for implementation of the scope of work as related to construction/ fabrication,
in accordance with the approved Project Schedule.
Monitor and report to Project Manager of project details, including progress, risks and
opportunities in a timely manner.
Ensures all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented
Define clear roles & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and
schedule to all the team members.
Review man-hours and duration forecasts to completion for construction and man-hours,
duration and manning forecasts for resource requirements.
Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for
less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for
improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions.
Company and Project Quality Management, ensuring delivery of Quality Product to Client
Adhere to Company and Site Safety Standards and Management and promote safety culture
among the ranks throughout the Company.
