It is generally accepted that a low level of fluorine in mains water 0.4 to 1 mg -¢ L – 1 depending on the climate of the country concerned promotes the formation of tooth enamel and protects teeth from decay. On the other hand, too much fluorine will destroy this enamel and cause a range of endemic type disorders that are generally called “fluoroses- malformed teeth, staining of the enamel, decalcification, tendon mineralisation, digestive and nervous disorders, etc. These problems can appear in individuals for widely variable quantities of the product. Water must be discharged or treated as soon as it contains more than 1 to 1.5 mg -¢ L – 1 of F – . Some natural waters contain more than 10 mg -¢ L – 1 of fluorine. This concentration has to be reduced to approximately 1 mg -¢ L – 1 the acceptable concentration falling as the average annual temperature rises the European standard has set 1.5 mg -¢ L – 1. Many studies have been carried out to address the issue however little success has been reported up to date. Layered double hydroxides LDHs which readily undergo anion exchange reactions have been used as a suitable candidate for defluorination. Also there is regeneration of the material after removal of fluoride ions without releasing flouride ions back in to the water cycle. F elimination using a nanofiltration NF operation will solve problems for large scale pilot plants in the future. Many defluorination projects have significant effectiveness on the prevention of endemic fluorosis. The concentrations of water fluoride were below 1 mg L. Advanced on site methods, such as under sink reserve osmosis units, can remove fluoride but are too expensive for developing areas. Calcium carbonate as a cost effective sorbent for an onsite defluorination drinking water system. Batch and column experiments have been performed to characterize F removal properties. The present review discusses various techniques of defluorination of water. A Review on Water Absorption Behavior and its Effect on Mechanical Properties...AM Publications
Composites are superior to conventional materials due to their high strength to weight ratio. Of late, because of environmental concerns, natural fibres are finding their places in composites. However, their hygroscopic nature affects the mechanical properties of the composites adversely. Applications of composites for decking, flooring and outdoor facilities have made it necessary to evaluate the water uptake characteristics of natural fibre composites. The objective of this paper is to review the water absorption behavior, its effect on mechanical properties and the efforts to reduce the absorption of various natural fibre reinforced composites.
Mechanical properties of rice husk flour reinforced epoxy bio-compositeIJERA Editor
A bio-composite reinforced with rice husk flour in epoxy resin has been developed. The effect of fibre treatment and weight percentage of rice husk on the mechanical properties was studied and compared with wood dust reinforced epoxy composite. It was observed that addition of rice husk as filler is detrimental to almost all the mechanical properties. About 51% and 26.8% decrease in ultimate strength and Young’s Modulus for 40 wt% untreated rice husk reinforcement was observed. The corresponding decrease in flexural strength and flexural modulus was 51%. Similar trend was also observed in hardness and impact strength. However the mechanical properties of rice husk reinforced biocomposites are found to be superior than wood dust reinforced epoxy composite. SEM microscopy was also done to corroborate the results.
Comparative study on compressive strength of Self cured SCC and Normally cure...IJERA Editor
Curing is the process of maintaining proper moisture content particularly within 28 days to promote optimum
cement hydration immediately after placement. Self-compacting concrete is made up of admixture i.e.
superplasticizer. In recent years, self-compacting concrete (SCC) has gained wide use for placement in
congested reinforced concrete structures with difficult casting conditions. Also various curing methods are
adopted in the construction industry especially for vertical structures, inaccessible areas s.a. high rise buildings,
water scarce areas etc. In such structures conventional curing is not practically possible in most of the cases. But
we need efficient curing which improves the strength and durability of concrete.
In the present work, comparison of compressive strength of normally cured SCC and SCC cured with self
curing material i.e. wax based, white pigmented, membrane forming concrete curing compound has been done.
This study is investigating that weather the use of self curing compound is economical or not in remote areas of
water without compromising with the compressive strength of concrete.
An experimental study on performace of starch extracted from wheat flour as f...IJAAS Team
The phenomenon of lost of mud filtrate into a porous permeable formation due to high hydrostatic pressure compared to the formation pressure is known as fluid loss. This cause some major problems in well during drilling as poor cementing job, pipe stuck, and formation damage. Thus, to safe the well from such problems and in order to make safe and effective drilling an additive from wheat flour is extracted which is starch, and acting as a fluid loss control agent. The purpose of this research is to investigate the potential of utilizing this additive to form environmentally safe, non-toxic, high biodegradability and low-cost water-based drilling fluid samples with varying the amount of starch. Experimental results showed that Efficiency of starch obtained from wheat-flour is showing increment in rheological properties as compare to starch present in market by using same and varying quantity of both and observed that wheat-flour starch is more efficient as compare to starch in market. On the other hand, the efficiency of starch is good but it has been also improved by the extraction of starch from wheatflour by the centrifugation process.

Effect of fly ash on the rheological and filtration properties of water based...eSAT Journals
Abstract An experimental investigation was carried out to study the effect of fly ash on the rheological and filtration properties of water based drilling fluids with the objective of the development of environmentally acceptable non-damaging and inhibitive drilling fluid system to drill sensitive formations. Initially, different drilling fluids combinations were prepared using carboxy methyl cellulose (low viscosity grade), polyanionic cellulose, xanthan gum, and potassium chloride. The rheological properties as well as filtration properties of these drilling fluids were measured by API recommended methods. These drilling fluids show very good rheological behavior but poor filtration loss characteristics. When fly ash was added in these drilling fluid combinations, a nanoparticles fluid system was established which has better control on filtration properties without affecting the rheological properties and has good potential for the drilling of sensitive formations. Index Terms: Filtrate Loss Properties, Rheological Properties, Wellbore Instability, Inhibitive Drilling Fluid, Nanoparticles, Shale.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
