Twitter’s Sentiment Analysis on Gsm Services using Multinomial Naïve BayesTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Telecommunication users are rapidly growing each year. As people keep demanding a better service level of Short Message Service (SMS), telephone or data use, service providers compete to attract their customer, while customer feedbacks in some platforms, for example Twitter, are their souce of information. Multinomial Naïve Bayes Tree, adapted from the method of Multinomial Naïve Bayes and Decision Tree, is one technique in data mining used to classify the raw data or feedback from customers.Multinomial Naïve Bayes method used specifically addressing frequency in the text of the sentence or document. Documents used in this study are comments of Twitter users on the GSM telecommunications provider in Indonesia. This research employed Multinomial Naïve Bayes Tree classification technique to categorize customers sentiment opinion towards telecommunication providers in Indonesia. Sentiment analysis only included the class of positive, negative and neutral. This research generated a Decision Tree roots in the feature "aktif" in which the probability of the feature "aktif" was from positive class in Multinomial Naive Bayes method. The evaluation showed that the highest accuracy of classification using Multinomial Naïve Bayes Tree (MNBTree) method was 16.26% using 145 features. Moreover, the Multinomial Naïve Bayes (MNB) yielded the highest accuracy of 73,15% by using all dataset of 1665 features. The expected benefits in this research are that the Indonesian telecommunications provider can evaluate the performance and services to reach customer satisfaction of various needs.
Performance analysis of binary and multiclass models using azure machine lear...IJECEIAES
Network data is expanding and that too at an alarming rate. Besides, the sophisticated attack tools used by hackers lead to capricious cyber threat landscape. Traditional models proposed in the field of network intrusion detection using machine learning algorithms emphasize more on improving attack detection rate and reducing false alarms but time efficiency is often overlooked. Therefore, in order to address this limitation, a modern solution has been presented using Machine Learning-as-a-Service platform. The proposed work analyses the performance of eight two-class and three multiclass algorithms using UNSW NB-15, a modern intrusion detection dataset. 82,332 testing samples were considered to evaluate the performance of algorithms. The proposed two class decision forest model exhibited 99.2% accuracy and took 6 seconds to learn 1,75,341 network instances. Multiclass classification task was also undertaken wherein attack types like generic, exploits, shellcode and worms were classified with a recall percentage of 99%, 94.49%, 91.79% and 90.9% respectively by the multiclass decision forest model that also leapfrogged others in terms of training and execution time.
Function Point Software Cost Estimates using Neuro-Fuzzy techniqueijceronline
Software estimation accuracy is among the greatest challenges for software developers. As Neurofuzzy based system is able to approximate the non-linear function with more precision so it is used as a soft computing approach to generate model by formulating the relationship based on its training. The approach presented in this paper is independent of the nature and type of estimation. In this paper, Function point is used as algorithmic model and an attempt is being made to validate the soundness of Neuro fuzzy technique using ISBSG and NASA project data.
Multi-Robot Task Allocation using Meta-heuristic OptimizationMohamed Ghanem
Bachelor Defense Presentation,
The aim of the project is to design an algorithm that would successfully handle allocating the tasks in order to improve (maximize) the overall performance. The project involves the study of complex task allocation for a comprehensive understanding of the problem. Several popular techniques are discussed in the literature review, emphasizing on the works that utilize meta-heuristic methods. First the Tabu Search (TS) will be used to solve the task allocation problem for multi-robot systems then Genetic Algorithm (GA) also will be used to solve the same problems. Then a comparative study will be done between TS and GA in solving many test cases. A hybrid approach from the two algorithms will be also test to find out whether it's better or not, and to find when to use which algorithm and how to set its parameters.

Classification of Churn and non-Churn Customers in Telecommunication CompaniesCSCJournals
Telecommunication is very important as it serves various activities, services of electronic systems to transmit messages via physical cables, telephones, or cell phones. The two main factors that affect the growth of telecommunications are the rapid growth of modern technology and the market demand and its competition. These two factors in return, create new technologies and products, which open a series of options and offers to customers, in order to satisfy their needs and requirements. However, one crucial problem that commercial companies in general and telecommunication in particular, suffer from is a loss of valuable customers to competitors; this is called customer churn prediction. In this paper, the dynamic training technique is introduced. The dynamic training is used to improve the prediction of performance. This technique is based on two ANN network configurations to minimise the total error of the network to predict two different classes; names churn and non-customers.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.
