In this study, geometrical optimization, spectroscopic analysis, electronic structure and nuclear
magnetic resonance studies of 2-[(methylamino)methyl]pyridine (abbreviated as 2MAMP) were investigated by
utilizing DFT/B3LYP with 6-31G (d,p) as basis set. The FTIR and FT-Raman spectra of 2-
[(methylamino)methyl]pyridine (2MAMP) have been recorded in the region 4000-400 cm-1
and 4000-50 cm-1
respectively. Complete vibrational assignments, analysis and correlation of the fundamental modes for the title
compound were carried out. The harmonic vibrational frequencies were calculated and scaled values have been
compared with experimental FTIR and FT-Raman spectra. The observed and calculated frequencies are found
to be in good agreement. The theoretical UV-Visible spectrum of the compound was performed by Time
Dependent DFT (TD-DFT) approach. The 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) chemical shifts of
2MAMP were calculated using the GIAO method by applying B3LYP method. The dipole moment, polarizability
and first order hyperpolarizability and mullikken charges of the molecule were calculated using DFT
calculations. The polarizability and first hyperpolarizability of the studied molecule indicate that the compound
is a good candidate of nonlinear optical materials. The Chemical reactivity and Thermodynamic properties of
2MAMP at different temperatures were also calculated. In addition, molecular electrostatic potential (MEP),
frontier molecular orbitals (FMO) analysis were investigated using theoretical calculations. The calculated
HOMO and LUMO energies show that charge transfer occurs within the molecule.

Abstract In normal circumstances, due to incomplete combustion, 30% of the fuel remains unburnt and is emitted in the form of black smoke, causing air pollution. Moreover, the carbon originating from incomplete fuel combustions, settles on the spark plug and on the engine piston, thus diminishing the compression capacity of the piston and increasing the friction factor. This rate of carbon deposition increases especially in city driving, as the engine works much of the time at part throttle. Excess carbon decreases the compression ratio of the engine which ultimately robs the engine of its power, due to acute knocking or detonation. The above problem can be reduced to some extent by making use of paramagnetic property of oxygen present in the incoming air i.e. by passing the air through external magnetic field. Ride comfortability of vehicle is a big challenge for the automotive industries and design engineers. The suspension system is the major source of providing comfortability by absorbing vertical vibrations. This paper presents modeling of the non-linear semi-active suspension system equipped with Magneto Rheological damper. Simulation of the designed model is performed in Simulink. A comparative analysis of the Simulink response shows the difference between linear and non-linear model. It has also shown that fuzzy logic controller has improved the performance of the system.
For aircraft or launch vehicles, its carrying capacity is defined as a Payload. It is usually measured in weights. For a rocket, payload can be satellite or scientific instruments. The design of the payload is a challenging task as it has to withstand space environment and launch loads. Due to launch vibrations, there are possibilities of failure of design of payload so it is very important to reduce these vibrations by alternative techniques.
This paper studies the effect of different materials on the natural frequency of payload which helps in the reduction of the natural frequency of the payload and for safe functioning of satellite.

In order to meet the stringent emission standards significant efforts have been imparted to the research and
development of cleaner IC engines. Diesel combustion and the formation of pollutants are directly influenced by
spatial and temporal distribution of the fuel injected. The development and validation of computational fluid
dynamics (CFD) models for diesel engine combustion and emissions is described. The complexity of diesel
combustion requires simulations with many complex interacting sub models in order to have a success in
improving the performance and to reduce the emissions. In the present work an attempt has been made to
develop a multidimensional axe-symmetric model for CI engine combustion and emissions. Later simulations
have been carried out. Commercial validation tool FLUENT was used for simulation. The tool solves basic
governing equations of fluid flow that is continuity, momentum, species transport and energy equation. Using
finite volume method turbulence was modeled by using RNG K-ɛ model. Injection was modeled using La
Grangian approach and reaction was modeled using non premixed combustion which considers the effects of
turbulence and detailed chemical mechanism into account to model the reaction rates. The specific heats were
approximated using piecewise polynomials. Subsequently the simulated results have been validated with the
existing experimental values

With the growing demand for renewable energy, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems have gained popularity as a reliable source of clean electricity. However, the performance of these systems can be limited by factors such as suboptimal maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms. In order to improve the power generation efficiency of PV systems, it is important to evaluate the performance of dynamic MPPT algorithms that can adapt to varying operating conditions. Traditionally, such evaluations have been time consuming and expensive, often requiring extensive testing and measurement equipment. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to evaluate dynamic MPPT performance very quickly and simply using PSIM software. This approach enables accurate and efficient evaluation of MPPT performance under a wide range of operating conditions, while minimizing the cost and time involved in traditional testing methods. When applying the proposed method to a 3.7 kW inverter using the traditional perturbation and observation (P and O) method, we found that the highest average efficiency was 98.92% at an MPPT control period of 0.1s and a voltage perturbation of 1 V. This evaluation technique provides valuable insights into the design and optimization of more efficient MPPT control algorithms, leading to improved power generation efficiency and increased adoption of solar PV systems.

Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
