This document summarizes research on designing the column structure of a Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) to withstand vibration during operation. Three column structure concepts were modeled and analyzed in CREO and ANSYS to determine their natural frequencies and deformation under load. Modal analysis found Concept 1 had the highest natural frequency, lowest weight, and least deformation, indicating it would provide the most stability. Cutting force calculations for milling and drilling operations were also presented to estimate the loads the column would experience from dynamic machine components like the spindle motor. A pre-stressed analysis was proposed to validate the column's performance under the cutting forces generated during heavy machining processes.

EShape Optimization Of A Suspension Bellcrank Using 3d Finite Element MethodsIJERA Editor
The paper represents an application of an optimization procedure for a mass and stress optimization of the bellcrank of a double wishbone suspension system of SRM University’s FormulaSAE vehicle. The used optimization procedure, so-called Fully Stressed Design, is based on an indirect approach utilizing optimum criteria. The aim of the optimization was to achieve the lowest possible mass of the construction taking into consideration the allowed resistance and also to investigate and analyze the structural stress distribution of bellcrank at the real time condition during damping process and the spring actuation.
Design evaluation and optimization of steering yoke of an automobileeSAT Journals
Abstract The purpose of a steering system is to control the direction of the vehicle by operating the steering wheel of the steering system. The steering columns in a steering system are one of the main devices of an automobile. It is a very important part to attain stability and steady movement of the vehicle. The steering yoke consists of two forged-steel yokes or forks joined to the two shafts being coupled and situated at right angles to each other. A spider hinges these two yokes together. Since the arms of the spider are at right angles the spider arm rocks backwards and forward between four extreme positions. Motion transmission system of vehicles consist several components which sometimes encounter unfortunate failures. Some common reasons for the failures may be manufacturing, design faults, maintenance faults, raw material faults, material processing faults as well as the user originated faults. In this paper structural optimization of the steering yoke is carried out. For modeling of the component, CATIA V5 R17 software is used. It has been found that there are essentially in two stages of the design process that structural optimization can be applied. In the early stage of concept generation, topology optimization should be used to develop an efficient structure from the beginning. At this level an automatized variation of optimization parameters was proven useful to and the best feasible design possible. In the later stage, shape and size optimization should be used to fine-tune the structure realized from the topology optimization and carried out physical experimentation to validate the model. Abstract
In the olden days very complicated thing is in the industry is to carry heavy loaded components and lifting from one place to another place, human effort needs lots of energy and it takes more time for same work, there are many huge and large amount of load lifting machine available, in that first started with gantry hoist and gantry cranes with which they carry heavy loads from one place to other, it works so far by the time but it can operate only in open place, in small scale industries it can’t work, during the period the need is new machine which works in small scale industries with good time, the changing the generation with the new technology industries are planned to develop the special purpose machine which is used to lift the heavy loads. Structural analysis of the “Gantry Structure” has been carried out to find the mechanical response of the structure, subjected to applied loads and boundary conditions. The results include deformed shape of the structure, displacements at required locations. Modal analysis done for checking the model, Gravity Loading Applied for different position and checked for the deformation of Solid Beam for different position. Optimization is done to reduce the cost of the structure. The response of the structure got by structural analysis using MSC Nastran.

Non linear analysis of Robot Gun Support Structure using Equivalent Dynamic A...IJMER
Robot guns are being increasingly employed in automotive manufacturing to replace
risky jobs and also to increase productivity. Using a single robot for a single operation proves to be
expensive. Hence for cost optimization, multiple guns are mounted on a single robot and multiple
operations are performed. Robot Gun structure is an efficient way in which multiple welds can be done
simultaneously. However mounting several weld guns on a single structure induces a variety of
dynamic loads, especially during movement of the robot arm as it maneuvers to reach the weld
locations. The primary idea employed in this paper, is to model those dynamic loads as equivalent G
force loads in FEA. This approach will be on the conservative side, and will be saving time and
subsequently cost efficient. The approach of the paper is towards creating a standard operating
procedure when it comes to analysis of such structures, with emphasis on deploying various technical
aspects of FEA such as Non Linear Geometry, Multipoint Constraint Contact Algorithm, Multizone
meshing .
Parametric study on slender column for flat plate structureeSAT Journals
Abstract This paper deals with effect of slender column on flat plate structure. The column is called slender if the height of is increased for functional purpose. The study is conducted on 18 flat-plate reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structural models. Among these18 models, 54 columns at three different locations (i.e. corner, edge and inner columns) are chosen for study. The models are developed using ETABS Software. Parametric study is performed by considering six different height of column ranging from 3048 mm to 6858 mm, using an increment of 762 mm along with three slab panels of size 4572 mm x 4572 mm, 6096 mm x6096 mm and 7620 mm x 7620 mm with five panels in both ways, considering both gravity and environmental load. The effect of slenderness ratio on load carrying capacity, design load and steel ratio is considered along with this the effect of additional moment due to slender compression member is also taken into account. It is observed that, columns in flat-plate structures are generally very sensitive if they are slender. It is observed that as the column length increases from 5502 mm and further, the steel ratio suddenly increases and it exceeds maximum allowed. As slenderness ratio increases, ratio of design load to the critical buckling load increases. Also resulting in increase of additional moment, decreasing load carrying capacity of column. This forces the design engineer to study effect of different parameter of the structure while designing high rise flat plate structure. Keywords: Flat Plate Structure, ETABS, Slenderness, Environmental load, design load and buckling load.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
