Planning and Selection of Heavy Construction Equipment in Civil EngineeringIJERA Editor
Construction equipment planning and selection plays crucial role for the success of construction firms.Inadequate manual processes of equipmentplanning and selection and the subjective decisions of equipment managers usually result in major losses in construction firms. An indispensable item of resources, it produces output at accelerated speed, enables completion of task in limited time. Equipment saves manpower, which is becoming costly and more demanding day by day. Equipment improves quality, productivity and safety. Construction equipment planning aims at identifying construction equipment for executing project tasks, assessing equipment performance capability, forecasting date wise requirement of number and type of equipment and finally participating in the selection of equipment to be acquired. To derive full benefits from the equipment, there should be proper selection and good planning of its operations. This paper deals with the planning and selection procedure for equipment adopted by a company to achieve its objective of timely project completion.
Role of PMC in Construction of Collector Well Project, a Case StudyIJERA Editor
The rapid expansion and intricacy in the construction industry cause difficulties in maintaining performance, time, and quality services of a construction project, which leads to the failure to meet the scope and objective of a project. In addition, improper planning, widespread dependence, and low availability of materials increase the cost of the construction project. To manage such issues, Project Management Consultancy is one of the management solutions that have been widely used. Project Management Consultancy plays a multifaceted role in providing services from the beginning of construction to its completion. Project Management Consultancy makes sure whether we are moving in the right pathway according to the planned schedule. Use of Project Management Consultancy offers constructive management solution for the proper execution of work, improved performance, quality, and outcome of the project. The objective of this paper is to study the role and responsibilities of Project Management Consultancy while executing a project and the risks associated with it. This research is carried out via a case study of the construction of an industrial project governed by a Project Management Consultancy from preconstruction phase to completion.

Assesing the various problems facing in arranging appropirate labour and qual...eSAT Journals
Abstract
A big major, continental concern in construction industry is arranging the labour and quality materials accordingly. The organizations which don’t recognize the upcoming problems due to mismanagement of labour and material works have justifiably been forced out of the mainstream of construction activity. A good project management is needed to drastically reduce the problems facing in labour and material works, which intern increases the chances of success. This paper concentrates on assessing the various problems facing in arranging appropriate labour and quality materials for high rise building works. The objective of the project is to study and analyze the various factors that affect labour and material works and to provide an effective flowchart with remedial measures which helps to reduce the problems arising from labour and quality material works in the construction industry. A set of questionnaires about labour and quality material works has been prepared, categorized into 7 sections and then distributed it to various companies and then analyzed. The analyzed and ranked data has been used to prepare remedial measures and a flowchart for adoption in construction industry.

Effective techniques in cost optimization of construction project an revieweSAT Journals
Abstract
In the construction project, time and cost are the most important factors to be considered in the planning of every project. The aim of project is to finish the projects on time, within budget and to achieve other project objectives. It is a difficult task undertaken by project managers in practice, which include constantly measuring progress, evaluation of plans, and corrective actions should be taken whenever required. Optimization is a systematic effort made to improve profit margins and obtain the best results under given circumstances. There is a Systematic planning and programming with effective management is necessary for timely completion of the project. there is availability of various tools and techniques for optimization. Optimizing performance of the different techniques adopted at one stage of the construction process may not be beneficial if the methods used are not to up the efficient level. In this approach we have studied various factors which affect the cost of projects. again in this approach we have studied various techniques and various materials used for cost optimization. Also the need of optimization is discussed.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
