This document describes a driver alert system that detects drowsiness and distraction to help prevent road accidents. The system uses computer vision and machine learning techniques to monitor the driver's face for signs of drowsiness like prolonged eye closure, blinking rate, and yawning or distraction from being off screen. It detects the driver's face and landmarks using Beyond Reality Face SDK for tracking eyes, mouth and head position over time. Drowsiness is analyzed based on eye aspect ratio from eyelid distance and closure rate. Yawning is detected using edge detection on mouth movements. An alarm is triggered if drowsiness or distraction parameters exceed thresholds for a set time. The system was tested on multiple users with over 85% accuracy in detecting drows
