The document describes a study to design and develop a waste heat recovery unit for a household refrigerator system. The researchers designed a new water-cooled condenser to replace the original air-cooled condenser. They integrated the new condenser with a waste heat recovery unit placed behind the refrigerator. Testing found that the water in the recovery unit could reach temperatures of around 50°C after 3 hours, with an average of 40°C. The new system did not significantly affect refrigerator performance while improving the overall efficiency by recovering waste heat.

A Review Paper on Design of Generator in Vapour Absorption Refrigeration Systemijtsrd
In vapour absorbtion refrigeration system an absorber, a pump, a generator and a pressure reducing valve replace the compressor. We can also operate the generator with low thermal energy by exhaust heat of IC engine. The fossil fuel remain main source of energy but contribute a tremendous amount of pollutants in the environment leading to global warming ,so for the purpose of refrigerator and air conditioning a vapour absorption refrigeration system could be used. this system utilizes the wasteful heat from heavy vehicle exhaust and work on VARS which provides the cooling and reducing various costs like fuel and maintenance. The research has been done in order to recover maximum waste heat and then analyzing the system performance. Through this system the researchers has tried to find out the maximum COP. It has been found by research that generator temperature has the most effect on the release of the system. Abstract Huge amount of energy wasted through the flue gas in thermal power station causes great concern in recent years. Discharging hot flue gas in the environment is not only a wastage of energy but also increases the rate of global warming. Efforts are given world -wide to harness the energy for useful purposes. In this work, the waste heat of flue gas in a 350 MW thermal power plant is utilized in vapor absorption air conditioning plant. Gas to liquid multi-pass cross flow heat exchanger that have been placed in the existing space between boiler and chimney. The dimensions of the finally selected heat exchanger are 0.106m × 2.4m × 3.4m. The number of pipes required for the heat exchanger is found to be 12 using iteration method and temperature of water at the outlet of last pipe is 101.1℃. The extracted energy from the flue gas is used to heat water to be utilized in the generator of a vapor absorption refrigeration system that has produced a refrigerating capacity of 70 TR. approximately. Due to the corrosive nature of flue gas, heat recovery is confined up to the acid dew point temperature of the flue gas. Suitable software is used to find out the detailed design parameters of Gas to liquid multi-pass cross flow heat exchangers. Comparative Analysis of HVAC System Based on Life Cycle Cost AnalysisIJERA Editor
A heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system is designed to satisfy the environmental requirements of comfort or a process, in a specific building or portion of a building and in a particular geographic locale. Efficient design of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems is a primary concern in building projects. The objectives of the HVAC system design are to provide a thermal comfort, good indoor quality and energy conservation. For the typical commercial building projects, it is not difficult to acquire the reference settings for efficient operation. However, for some special projects, due to the specific design and control of the HVAC system, conventional settings may not be necessarily energy-efficient in daily operation. The HVAC system design and equipment selection for a commercial building (376 TR) is included as a case study in this paper. The outcomes of this paper are efficient design of HVAC system with minimum energy consumption and equipment selection based on operating and life cycle cost analysis.

This investigation represents a thermodynamic assessment of thermal performance optimization for a proper heat pump technology suitable for district hot water production at (60-65) °C. The clean energy sources integrated with environment friendly refrigerants were studied to optimize and validate the use of Cascade heat pump technology at various configurations. Three pure, R744, R600a and R134a, and one azeotropic mixture R410A refrigerants were circulated at different cycle arrangements. Two Cascade systems (Three Cycles), single Cascade system (Two Cycles), and compound Cascade system (Three Cycles) were proposed for the present assessment. The low temperature cycle operated at evaporator temperature of (-15 to -2) °C and the high temperature condenser was set at a temperature of (70) °C. The single Cascade heat pump circulating R410A/R134a and the two Cascade R410A/R717/R134a systems showed the best heating coefficient of performance (COP). The former refrigerant pair exhibited higher heating (COP) than that of the latter by (3.6-5) % calculated at (22.5) °C low temperature cycle intermediate temperature for the whole range of test conditions. The lowest (COP) was experienced by the two Cascade heat pump technology circulating R744/R717/R134a and R744/R717/R600a refrigerant pairs. The compound Cascade heat pump is definitely a promising option for low temperature heat source technology on the long term basis due to its low running cost for heating load generation. The heating (COP) showed a range of (2 to 2.7) at (70 %) compressor isentropic efficiency according to the system type, refrigerant pair and operating conditions considered in the present work. Any improvement for the compressor isentropic efficiency provides a valuable augmentation for the heating (COP) of the Cascade heat pump.

In the present paper, an experimental analysis of a solar water heating collector with an integrated latent heat storage unit is presented. With the purpose to determine the performance of a device on a lab scale, but with commercial features, a flat plate solar collector with phase change material (PCM) containers under the absorber plate was constructed and tested. PCM used was a commercial semi-refined light paraffin with a melting point of 60°C. Tests were carried out in outdoor conditions from October 2016 to March 2017 starting at 7:00 AM until the collector does not transfer heat to the water after sunset. Performance variables as water inlet temperature, outlet temperature, mass flow and solar radiation were measured in order to determine a useful heat and the collector efficiency. Furthermore, operating temperatures of the glass cover, air gap, absorber plate, and PCM containers are presented. Other external variables as ambient temperature, humidity and wind speed were measured with a weather station located next to the collector. The developed prototype reached an average thermal efficiency of 24.11% and a maximum outlet temperature of 50°C. Results indicate that the absorber plate reached the PCM melting point in few cases, this suggests that the use of a PCM with a lower melting point could be a potential strategy to increase thermal storage. A thermal analysis and conclusions of the device performance are discussed.

Coefficient of Performance Enhancement of Refrigeration CyclesIJERA Editor
Refrigerator is one of the home appliance utilizing mechanical vapor compression cycle in its process. Performance of the systems become the main issue and many researches are still ongoing to evaluate and improve the efficiency of any used system. Therefore, this paper presents an experimental investigation of the performance of the refrigeration cycles. A small rrefrigerator is used as the test rig. The Coefficient of Performance (COP) is studied by using different condenser designs and under varying evaporator loads. Three condenser designs are used in present work. These condensers are regular condenser of domestic refrigerator, condenser with copper plain tubes (Cond.1) and condenser with copper tubes welded with stainless steel flat plate (Cond.2). pressures and temperatures measurements of each point in the refrigeration cycle are collected in order to evaluate the refrigerator performance. The results showed that the average COP of Cond.1 and Cond.2 are increased up to 20 % and 14% respectively more than regular condenser design under no load. The evaporator load effects on the machine performance, where the COP of the machine increases with the increase of the evaporator load.
To study the application of nanorefrigerant in refrigeration system a revieweSAT Journals
Abstract In past time only refrigerants were used in refrigeration process and they were having a global warming coefficient at high level. Now, as time change the modern techniques are coming into existence with the help of them the refrigeration process become more efficient and safe as compare to previous in atmospheric prospective. This review paper is based on the nanotechnologies used in present time in refrigeration system like vapour compression refrigeration system, domestic refrigerator and air conditioner etc. The nano refrigerant is nothing but the combined form of nano particle with the refrigerant. The nanorefrigerant can be formed by two ways (1) by mixing nano particles with refrigerant in gaseous form, (2) by mixing nano particles to lubricant. We will combine different nano particles having the same diameter and same volume fraction with the lubricant to study the nature of thermo-physical properties in refrigeration process. There would be some parameters that can be studied by this experiment like energy consumption, heat transfer, cop etc. Keywords: nano particles, nano refrigerant, heat transfer coefficient, COP, Energy consumption.

Heat is the energy, so energy saving is one of the key matters for the protection of global environment. Heat also radiated from our domestic refrigerator. This waste heat from refrigerator will affect the environmental because as heat in the environment will increases it will cause global warming. So it is necessary that a significant effort should be made for conserving energy through waste heat recovery too. So An attempt has been made to utilize waste heat from condenser of refrigerator. This heat can be used for various of domestic and industrial purposes. In minimum constructional, maintenance and running cost, this system is very useful for domestic purpose. It is valuable alternative approach to increase overall efficiency and reuse the waste heat. The study has shown that such a system is technically feasible and economical. This system is a cabin that we are going to install over the head of the simple refrigerator, this cabin will be an arrangement of coils that will work as a heat exchanger for reuse of waste heat. These coils are hot coils of condenser of the refrigerator that will be modified and will put in the cabin. It can serve the purpose of cooking, geysers etc. Besides, the refrigerator may be used as conventional refrigerator. Further COP will also increase. Heat rejection may occur directly to the air in the case of a conventional household domestic refrigerator having air-cooled condenser. This system rejected less heat to the environment so it is safer in environmental aspects also.
