This document outlines an introductory course on second language acquisition (SLA). The course aims to introduce students to basic SLA concepts and theories through a series of activities and tasks. It is divided into 7 units covering topics like first and second language acquisition, SLA foundations and theories, the linguistic and psychological aspects of SLA, and the social contexts of SLA. Student evaluation includes internal assessments like quizzes, presentations and assignments, and an external mid-term and final exam. The course uses a combination of lectures, seminars, exercises and independent study.
