The student has chosen to design a pop music magazine as their genre because pop music is currently popular, they enjoy listening to pop music, and pop music best fits their target audience of other students. They plan to use other student models wearing bright, pop star-like costumes smiling for the camera to portray an upbeat magazine. The magazine will include information about pop stars, new music, and fashion, along with quizzes, puzzles and a chance for readers to share stories to feel part of a group.

2.  I have chosen pop music as my genre for this project.
This because pop music is very popular at the moment,
so I will be able to find lots of examples of pop
magazines for inspiration. I also enjoy listening to pop
music. Also, pop music is the genre of music that best
fits my target audience.

3.  I will be using other students as models for my images.
This is because they are teenagers, so my target
audience will be able to relate to them.
 They will be wearing costumes that are similar to typical
pop stars, e.g. bright pink tops/dresses.
 They will be smiling at the camera to reveal my
magazine’s fun, upbeat nature.

4.  The ideas that I have for my magazine are that I want it
to be a fun, lively and interesting magazine that my
audience will enjoy.
 I will include information about famous pop stars, new
music, and also fashion information.
 There will be a page where the readers can try quizzes
and puzzles, and where they can win prizes.
 The audience will have the chance to send in stories
about themselves, and read other audience member’s
stories, allowing them to feel like part of a group.
