Infosys' attrition rate has climbed again according to a report. Attrition refers to the gradual reduction in workforce size due to retirement or resignation. High attrition rates can negatively impact companies through loss of productivity, increased costs of recruitment and training, and loss of revenue. In 2006, Infosys' attrition rate was 12.9% compared to industry averages of 22-24%.
